The visual quality and spatial distribution of architectural styles represent a city's image, influence inhabitants' living conditions, and may have positive or negative social consequences which are critical to urban sensing and designing. Conventional methods of identifying architectural styles rely on human labor and are frequently time-consuming, inefficient, and subjective in judgment. These issues significantly affect the large-scale management of urban architectural styles. Fortunately, deep learning models have robust feature expression abilities for images and have achieved highly competitive results in object detection in recent years. They provide a new approach to supporting traditional architectural style recognition. Therefore, this paper summarizes 22 architectural styles in a study area which could be used to define and describe urban architectural styles in most Chinese urban areas. Then, this paper introduced a Faster-RCNN general framework of architectural style classification with a VGG-16 backbone network, which is the first machine learning approach to identifying architectural styles in Chinese cities. Finally, this paper introduces an approach to constructing an urban architectural style dataset by mapping the identified architectural style through continuous street view imagery and vector map data from a top-down building contour map. The experimental results show that the architectural style dataset created had a precision of 57.8%, a recall rate of 80.91%, and an F1 score of 0.634. This dataset can, to a certain extent, reflect the geographical distribution characteristics of a wide variety of urban architectural styles. Due to various factors such as aging, natural environment erosion, and man-made destruction, architectural heritage has formed various diseases and cracks, especially in pathology cracks, which are the most typical masonry–timber architectural heritages, directly affecting the structural stability of masonry–timber buildings. This paper uses artificial intelligence and architecture and other multi-disciplinary research methods, taking James Jackson Gymnasium, a famous masonry–timber architectural heritage in Wuhan, as an example, using 3D laser scanning technology to obtain disease details and crack data of architectural heritage, using a Mask R-CNN model to detect crack area, using an FCN model to identify and calculate single cracks, and finally summarizing the type, location, and characteristics of cracks, analyzing the causes of cracks, and then putting forward corresponding hierarchical restoration strategies. The research results build a set of detection and repair systems of masonry–timber architectural heritage pathology cracks, which provide a set of accurate and objective pathology cracks data for architectural heritage protection and repair, and provide a reference for architectural heritage repair. In December 2019, COVID-19 appeared for the first time in Wuhan (Hubei Province, China), after which it quickly spread over the entire earth. The World Health Organization quickly designated COVID-19 a pandemic because of the high number of deaths and rapid global spread of the disease. Because of this, many facets of society have been impacted, and those effects may last for years to come. Therefore, COVID-19 detection methods were the focus of numerous research projects in the past. This has led to the development of the COVID-19 AI Detector, a specialized area of artificial intelligence-based research. In this paper, we survey all significant current efforts that have taken advantage of machine learning to COVID-19 detection and prediction. We first surveyed all datasets used in relevant research, and then summarized them in a table containing the link to that data. Then, we mention all the methodologies employed to detect the presence of COVID-19 using such datasets. Later, the challenges and difficulties that facing the concerned researches are reported, while the results of all interesting related work that lay ahead in this field before concluding this paper were discussed fairly. The recent COVID-19 pandemic, which broke at the end of the year 2019 in Wuhan, China, has infected more than 98.52 million people by today (January 23, 2021) with over 2.11 million deaths across the globe. To combat the growing pandemic on urgent basis, there is need to design effective solutions using new techniques that could exploit recent technology, such as machine learning, deep learning, big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, for identification and tracking of COVID-19 cases in near real time. These technologies have offered inexpensive and rapid solution for proper screening, analyzing, prediction and tracking of COVID-19 positive cases. In this paper, a detailed review of the role of AI as a decisive tool for prognosis, analyze, and tracking the COVID-19 cases is performed. We searched various databases including Google Scholar, IEEE Library, Scopus and Web of Science using a combination of different keywords consisting of COVID-19 and AI. We have identified various applications, where AI can help healthcare practitioners in the process of identification and monitoring of COVID-19 cases. A compact summary of the corona virus cases are first highlighted, followed by the application of AI. Finally, we conclude the paper by highlighting new research directions and discuss the research challenges. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a novel harmful respiratory disease that has rapidly spread worldwide. At the end of 2019, COVID-19 emerged as a previously unknown respiratory disease in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The world health organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic in the second week of March 2020. Simultaneous deep learning detection and classification of COVID-19 based on the full resolution of digital X-ray images is the key to efficiently assisting patients by enabling physicians to reach a fast and accurate diagnosis decision. In this paper, a simultaneous deep learning computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system based on the YOLO predictor is proposed that can detect and diagnose COVID-19, differentiating it from eight other respiratory diseases: atelectasis, infiltration, pneumothorax, masses, effusion, pneumonia, cardiomegaly, and nodules. The proposed CAD system was assessed via five-fold tests for the multi-class prediction problem using two different databases of chest X-ray images: COVID-19 and ChestX-ray8. The proposed CAD system was trained with an annotated training set of 50,490 chest X-ray images. The regions on the entire X-ray images with lesions suspected of being due to COVID-19 were simultaneously detected and classified end-to-end via the proposed CAD predictor, achieving overall detection and classification accuracies of 96.31% and 97.40%, respectively. Most test images from patients with confirmed COVID-19 and other respiratory diseases were correctly predicted, achieving average intersection over union (IoU) greater than 90%. Applying deep learning regularizers of data balancing and augmentation improved the COVID-19 diagnostic performance by 6.64% and 12.17% in terms of the overall accuracy and the F1-score, respectively. It is feasible to achieve a diagnosis based on individual chest X-ray images with the proposed CAD system within 0.0093 s. Thus, the CAD system presented in this paper can make a prediction at the rate of 108 frames/s (FPS), which is close to real-time. The proposed deep learning CAD system can reliably differentiate COVID-19 from other respiratory diseases. In 2019, the infectious coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was first reported in Wuhan, China. It has then become a public health problem in the world. This pandemic is having a heavy impact on the lives of people in our country. All countries are trying to control the spread of this disease. To solve the problem, each person needs to wear masks in a public place. Therefore, we propose a model capable of distinguishing between masked and nonmasked faces using a convolutional neural network (CNN) based on deep learning (DL)—MobileNetV2 in this paper. The model can detect people who are not wearing masks. It has an accuracy of up to 99.37%. The model will be applied in places such as schools, offices, and so on to monitor the wearing masks. Since the initial reports of the Coronavirus surfacing in Wuhan, China, the novel virus currently without a cure has spread like wildfire across the globe, the virus spread exponentially across all inhabited continent, catching local governments by surprise in many cases and bringing the world economy to a standstill. As local authorities work on a response to deal with the virus, the scientific community has stepped in to help analyze and predict the pattern and conditions that would influence the spread of this unforgiving virus. Using existing statistical modeling tools to the latest artificial intelligence technology, the scientific community has used public and privately available data to help with predictions. A lot of this data research has enabled local authorities to plan their response—whether that is to deploy tightly available medical resources like ventilators or how and when to enforce policies to social distance, including lockdowns. On the one hand, this paper shows what accuracy of research brings to enable fighting this disease; while on the other hand, it also shows what lack of response from local authorities can do in spreading this virus. The evaluation of the effects of artificial precipitation enhancement remains one of the most important and challenging issues in the fields of meteorology. Rainfall is the most important evaluation metric for artificial precipitation enhancement, which is mainly achieved through physics-based models that simulate physical phenomena and data-driven statistical models. The series of effect evaluation methods requires the selection of a comparison area for effect comparison, and idealized assumptions and simplifications have been made for the actual cloud precipitation process, leading to unreliable quantitative evaluation results of artificial precipitation effects. This paper proposes a deep learning-based method (UNET-GRU) to quantitatively evaluate the effect of artificial rainfall. By comparing the residual values obtained from inverting the natural evolution grid rainfall of the same area under the same artificial rainfall conditions with the actual rainfall amount after artificial rainfall operations, the effect of artificial rainfall can be quantitatively evaluated, effectively solving the problem of quantitative evaluation of artificial precipitation effects. Wuhan and Shiyan in China are selected to represent typical plains and mountainous areas, respectively, and the method is evaluated using 6-min resolution radar weather data from 2017 to 2020. During the experiment, we utilized the UNET-GRU algorithm and developed separate algorithms for comparison against common persistent baselines (i.e., the next-time data of the training data). The prediction of mean squared error (MSE) for these three algorithms was significantly lower than that of the baseline data. Moreover, the indicators for these algorithms were excellent, further demonstrating their efficacy. In addition, the residual results of the estimated 7-h grid rainfall were compared with the actual recorded rainfall to evaluate the effectiveness of artificial precipitation. The results showed that the estimated rainfall was consistent with the recorded precipitation for that year, indicating that deep learning methods can be successfully used to evaluate the impact of artificial precipitation. Coronavirus is considered the first virus to sweep the world in the twenty-first century, it appeared by the end of 2019. It started in the Chinese city of Wuhan and began to spread in different regions around the world too quickly and uncontrollable due to the lack of medical examinations and their inefficiency. So, the process of detecting the disease needs an accurate and quickly detection techniques and tools. The X-Ray images are good and quick in diagnosing the disease, but an automatic and accurate diagnosis is needed. Therefore, this paper presents an automated methodology based on deep learning in diagnosing COVID-19. In this paper, the proposed system is using a convolutional neural network, which is considered one of the mostly prominent techniques used today for its reliability and ability to generate rapid results. The system was trained on a set of X-Ray images taken of the chest area of infected and uninfected people. The CNN structure gave accuracy, Precision, Recall and F-Measure 98%. Background: In December 2019, the first case of COVID-19 was described in Wuhan, China, and by July 2022, there were already 540 million confirmed cases. Due to the rapid spread of the virus, the scientific community has made efforts to develop techniques for the viral classification of SARS-CoV-2. Results: In this context, we developed a new proposal for gene sequence representation with Genomic Signal Processing techniques for the work presented in this paper. First, we applied the mapping approach to samples of six viral species of the Coronaviridae family, which belongs SARS-CoV-2 Virus. We then used the sequence downsized obtained by the method proposed in a deep learning architecture for viral classification, achieving an accuracy of 98.35%, 99.08%, and 99.69% for the 64, 128, and 256 sizes of the viral signatures, respectively, and obtaining 99.95% precision for the vectors with size 256. Conclusions: The classification results obtained, in comparison to the results produced using other state-of-the-art representation techniques, demonstrate that the proposed mapping can provide a satisfactory performance result with low computational memory and processing time costs. Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is started from Wuhan (City in China), and is rapidly spreading among people living in other countries. Today, around 215 countries are affected by COVID-19 disease. WHO announced approximately number of cases 11,274,600 worldwide. Due to rapidly rising cases daily in the hospitals, there are a limited number of resources available to control COVID-19 disease. Therefore, it is essential to develop an accurate diagnosis of COVID-19 disease. Early diagnosis of COVID-19 patients is important for preventing the disease from spreading to others. In this paper, we proposed a deep learning based approach that can differentiate COVID- 19 disease patients from viral pneumonia, bacterial pneumonia, and healthy (normal) cases. In this approach, deep transfer learning is adopted. We used binary and multi-class dataset which is categorized in four types for experimentation: (i) Collection of 728 X-ray images including 224 images with confirmed COVID-19 disease and 504 normal condition images (ii) Collection of 1428 X-ray images including 224 images with confirmed COVID-19 disease, 700 images with confirmed common bacterial pneumonia, and 504 normal condition images. (iii) Collections of 1442 X- ray images including 224 images with confirmed COVID-19 disease, 714 images with confirmed bacterial and viral pneumonia, and 504 images of normal conditions (iv) Collections of 5232 X- ray images including 2358 images with confirmed bacterial and 1345 with viral pneumonia, and 1346 images of normal conditions. In this paper, we have used nine convolutional neural network based architecture (AlexNet, GoogleNet, ResNet-50, Se-ResNet-50, DenseNet121, Inception V4, Inception ResNet V2, ResNeXt-50, and Se-ResNeXt-50). Experimental results indicate that the pre trained model Se-ResNeXt-50 achieves the highest classification accuracy of 99.32% for binary class and 97.55% for multi-class among all pre-trained models. To combat the epidemic, the nations from every corner of the world has instituted various policies like physical distancing, isolation of infected population and researching on the potential vaccine of SARS-CoV-2. To identify the impact of various policies implemented by the affected countries on the pandemic spread, a myriad of AI-based models have been presented to analyse and predict the epidemiological trends of COVID-19. In this work, the authors present a detailed study of different artificial intelligence frameworks applied for predictive analysis of COVID-19 patient record. The forecasting models acquire information from records to detect the pandemic spreading and thus enabling an opportunity to take immediate actions to reduce the spread of the virus. This paper addresses the research issues and corresponding solutions associated with the prediction and detection of infectious diseases like COVID-19. It further focuses on the study of vaccinations to cope with the pandemic. With the acceleration of urbanization, the environment and climate necessary for our survival have gradually deteriorated, leading to the increasing prominence of the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect. Local Climate Zone (LCZ) classification, as a standard of urban morphology, has become an essential tool for monitoring the UHI effect and conducting temperature studies. Deep Learning (DL) models have the ability to represent high-level semantic features. Therefore, this paper proposes amixed scene unmixing DL framework for LCZ mapping and analysis using Very High Resolution (VHR) remote sensing images. This framework consists of a two-stream deep network, including a pure scene classification network (PS-Net) and a mixed scene unmixing network (MSU-Net). We conducted random sampling tests in Wuhan, China in the experiment A. The results show that this model achieved a satisfactory accuracy with the Overall Accuracies (OAs) is 96.78% and a mixed scene unmixing Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.0495. Furthermore, we applied the proposed model to generate LCZ map for five districts in Wuhan in the experiment B. The test accuracy between two experiments differs very slightly. The coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19) is growing quickly around the globe. The first acute atypical respiratory illness was reported in December 2019, in Wuhan, China. This quickly spread from Wuhan city to other locations. Deep learning (DL) algorithms are one of the greatest solutions for consistently and readily recognizing COVID-19. Previously, many researchers used state-of-the-art approaches for the classification of COVID-19. In this paper, we present a deep learning approach with the EfficientnetB4 model, centered on transfer learning, for the classification of COVID-19. Transfer learning is a popular technique that uses pre-trained models that have been trained on the ImageNet database and employed on a new problem to increase generalization. We presented an in-depth training approach to extract the visual properties of COVID-19 in exchange for providing a medical assessment before infection testing. The proposed methodology is assessed on a publicly accessible X-ray imaging dataset. The proposed framework achieves an accuracy of 97%. The syndrome called COVID‐19 which was firstly spread in Wuhan, China has already been declared a globally "Pandemic." To stymie the further spread of the virus at an early stage, detection needs to be done. Artificial Intelligence‐based deep learning models have gained much popularity in the detection of many diseases within the confines of biomedical sciences. In this paper, a deep neural network‐based "LiteCovidNet" model is proposed that detects COVID‐19 cases as the binary class (COVID‐19, Normal) and the multi‐class (COVID‐19, Normal, Pneumonia) bifurcated based on chest X‐ray images of the infected persons. An accuracy of 100% and 98.82% is achieved for binary and multi‐class classification respectively which is competitive performance as compared to the other recent related studies. First outbreak of COVID-19 was in the city of Wuhan in China in Dec.2019 and then it becomes a pandemic disease all around the world. World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed more than 5.5 million cases and 341,155 deaths from the disease till the time of writing this paper. This new worldwide disease forced researchers to make more precise way to diagnose COVID-19. In the last decade, medical imaging techniques show its efficiency in helping radiologists to detect and diagnose the diseases. Deep learning and transfer learning algorithms are good techniques to detect disease from different image source types such as X-Ray and CT scan images. In this work we used a deep learning technique based on Convolution Neural Network (CNN) to detect and diagnose COVID-19 disease using Chest X-ray images. Moreover, the modified AlexNet architecture is proposed in different scenarios were differing from each other in terms of the type of the pooling layers and/or the number of the neurons that have used in the second fully connected layer. The used chest Xray images are gathered from two COVID-19 X-ray image datasets and one dataset includes large number of normal and pneumonia X-ray images. In this paper, the LSTM model is used to predict the PM2.5 concentrations in five representative Chinese cities with the GDP exceeding 1 trillion Yuan, including Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Wuhan. The PM2.5 concentration data in 2015-2017 are selected for training, and the results are optimized to achieve an efficient solution by adjusting the parameters. Based on the optimized solution, a test is carried out to predict the PM2.5 concentration in 2018, and the results are compared with the real value obtained from the monitoring centre. According to the comparison results, the correlation coefficient of Wuhan and Chengdu is 0.86724 and 0.80070, which are the highest in these five cities. While the correlation coefficient of Shenzhen and Shanghai, are 0.78225, 0.72147, Beijing, as the capital city of China achieved the lowest correlation coefficient which is 0.64118. The LSTM-based predictive model has relatively good reliability and transferability. More effective predictive results can be achieved by implementing deep learning to analyse PM2.5 concentration. Though mesh generated by UAV-based oblique photogrammetry has revolutionized the large urban scene data representation, its semantic segmentation still challenging due to structural irregularities. In this paper, a deep learning model is proposed for the mesh semantic segmentation. To efficiently capture local geometry and neighbourhood context within the mesh, graph concept and transformer blocks are employed for mesh representation and feature learning. Based on these components, a hierarchical network architecture is presented. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed network performs well on the self-made Wuhan dataset. The ablation study shows the improvement brought by each component in the network. The coronavirus pandemic started in Wuhan, China in December 2019, and put millions of people in a difficult situation. This fatal virus spread to over 227 countries and the number of infected patients increased to over 400 million cases, causing over 6 million deaths worldwide. Due to the serious consequence of this virus, it is necessary to develop a detection method that can respond quickly to prevent the spreading of COVID-19. Using chest X-ray images to detect COVID-19 is one of the promising techniques; however, with a large number of COVID-19 infected cases every day, the number of radiologists available to diagnose the chest X-ray images is not sufficient. We must have a computer aid system that helps doctors instantly and automatically determine COVID-19 cases. Recently, with the emergence of deep learning methods applied for medical and biomedical uses, using convolutional neural net and transformer applications for chest X-ray images can be a supplement for COVID-19 testing. In this paper, we attempt to classify three types of chest X-ray, which are normal, pneumonia, and COVID-19 using deep learning methods on a customized dataset. We also carry out an experiment on the COVID-19 severity assessment task using a tailored dataset. Five deep learning models were obtained to conduct our experiments: DenseNet121, ResNet50, InceptionNet, Swin Transformer, and Hybrid EfficientNet-DOLG neural networks. The mortality risk factors for coronavirus disease (COVID‐19) must be early predicted, especially for severe cases, to provide intensive care before they develop to critically ill immediately. This paper aims to develop an optimized convolution neural network (CNN) for predicting mortality risk factors for COVID‐19 patients. The proposed model supports two types of input data clinical variables and the computed tomography (CT) scans. The features are extracted from the optimized CNN phase and then applied to the classification phase. The CNN model's hyperparameters were optimized using a proposed genetic‐based adaptive momentum estimation (GB‐ADAM) algorithm. The GB‐ADAM algorithm employs the genetic algorithm (GA) to optimize Adam optimizer's configuration parameters, consequently improving the classification accuracy. The model is validated using three recent cohorts from New York, Mexico, and Wuhan, consisting of 3055, 7497,504 patients, respectively. The results indicated that the most significant mortality risk factors are: CD 8+ T Lymphocyte (Count), D‐dimer greater than 1 Ug/ml, high values of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), C‐reactive protein (CRP), hypertension, and diabetes. Early identification of these factors would help the clinicians in providing immediate care. The results also show that the most frequent COVID‐19 signs in CT scans included ground‐glass opacity (GGO), followed by crazy‐paving pattern, consolidations, and the number of lobes. Background and Objective. The new coronavirus disease (known as COVID-19) was first identified in Wuhan and quickly spread worldwide, wreaking havoc on the economy and people's everyday lives. As the number of COVID-19 cases is rapidly increasing, a reliable detection technique is needed to identify affected individuals and care for them in the early stages of COVID-19 and reduce the virus's transmission. The most accessible method for COVID-19 identification is Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR); however, it is time-consuming and has false-negative results. These limitations encouraged us to propose a novel framework based on deep learning that can aid radiologists in diagnosing COVID-19 cases from chest X-ray images. Methods. In this paper, a pretrained network, DenseNet169, was employed to extract features from X-ray images. Features were chosen by a feature selection method, i.e., analysis of variance (ANOVA), to reduce computations and time complexity while overcoming the curse of dimensionality to improve accuracy. Finally, selected features were classified by the eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost). The ChestX-ray8 dataset was employed to train and evaluate the proposed method. Results and Conclusion. The proposed method reached 98.72% accuracy for two-class classification (COVID-19, No-findings) and 92% accuracy for multiclass classification (COVID-19, No-findings, and Pneumonia). The proposed method's precision, recall, and specificity rates on two-class classification were 99.21%, 93.33%, and 100%, respectively. Also, the proposed method achieved 94.07% precision, 88.46% recall, and 100% specificity for multiclass classification. Towards the end of 2019, Wuhan experienced an outbreak of novel coronavirus, which soon spread worldwide, resulting in a deadly pandemic that infected millions of people around the globe. The public health agencies followed many strategies to counter the fatal virus. However, the virus severely affected the lives of the people. In this paper, we study the sentiments of people from the top five worst affected countries by the virus, namely the USA, Brazil, India, Russia, and South Africa. We propose a deep language-independent Multilevel Attention-based Conv-BiGRU network (MACBiG-Net), which includes embedding layer, word-level encoded attention, and sentence-level encoded attention mechanisms to extract the positive, negative, and neutral sentiments. The network captures the subtle cues in a document by focusing on the local characteristics of text along with the past and future context information for the sentiment classification. We further develop a COVID-19 Sentiment Dataset by crawling the tweets from Twitter and applying topic modeling to extract the hidden thematic structure of the document. The classification results demonstrate that the proposed model achieves an accuracy of 85%, which is higher than other well-known algorithms for sentiment classification. The findings show that the topics which evoked positive sentiments were related to frontline workers, entertainment, motivation, and spending quality time with family. The negative sentiments were related to socio-economic factors like racial injustice, unemployment rates, fake news, and deaths. Recently coronavirus 2019 (COVID-2019), discovered in Wuhan city of China in December 2019 announced as world pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). It has catastrophic impacts on daily lives, public health, and the global economy. The detection of coronavirus (COVID− 19) is now a critical task for medical specialists. Laboratory methods for detecting the virus such as Polymerase Chain Reaction, antigens, and antibodies have pros and cons represented in time required to obtain results, accuracy, cost and suitability of the test to phase of infection. The need for accurate, fast, and cheap auxiliary diagnostic tools has become a necessity as there are no accurate automated toolkits available. Other medical investigations such as chest X−ray and Computerized Tomography scans are imaging techniques that play an important role in the diagnosis of COVID− 19 virus. Application of advanced artificial intelligence techniques for processing radiological imaging can be helpful for the accurate detection of this virus. However, Due to the small dataset available for COVID− 19, transfer learning from pre−trained convolution neural networks, CNNs can be used as a promising solution for diagnosis of coronavirus. Transfer learning becomes an effective mechanism by transferring knowledge from generic object recognition tasks to domain-specific tasks. Hence, the main contribution of this paper is to exploit the pre−trained deep learning CNN architectures as a cornerstone to enhance and build up an automated tool for detection and diagnosis of COVID− 19 in chest X−Ray and Computerized Tomography images. The main idea is to make use of their convolutional neural network structure and its learned weights on large datasets such as ImageNet. Moreover, a modification to ResNet50 is proposed to classify the patients as COVID infected or not. This modification includes adding three new layers, named, ′Conv′, ′Batch_Normaliz′ and ′Activation_Relu′ layers. These layers are injected in the ResNet50 architecture for accurate discrimination and robust feature extraction. Extensive experiments are carried out to assess the performance of the proposed model on COVID− 19 chest X−Ray and Computerized Tomography scan images. Experimental results approve that the proposed modification, injected layers, increases the diagnosis accuracy to 97.7% for Computerized Tomography dataset and 97.1% for X−Ray dataset which is superior compared to other approaches. The first appearance of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was on December 31st 2019, in the Wuhan City of China. This novel coronavirus (COVID-19) spread rapidly around the world, thus causing a pandemic. The most devastating effect was caused on the daily lives, global economy and public health system. In order to treat the affected patients quickly the most critical step is to detect the positive cases in much advance period of time in order to help prevent further spread of this disease. With the help of the recent findings, it has been found that the radiology imagining techniques contain the salient information about this virus. The advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technique coupled with this radiological imaging has found to be helpful for the accurate detection of this novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. This is an advanced application which is helpful for the study of this paper. In this study, the new model used for the detection of this coronavirus (COVID-19) by using the raw chest X-ray images automatically. This proposed model provides accurate diagnostics for binary classification (COVID-19 vs normal) and also the multi-class classification (COVID-19 vs Normal vs Pneumonia). Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused health concerns worldwide since December 2019. From the beginning of infection, patients will progress through different symptom stages, such as fever, dyspnea or even death. Identifying disease progression and predicting patient outcome at an early stage helps target treatment and resource allocation. However, there is no clear COVID-19 stage definition, and few studies have addressed characterizing COVID-19 progression, making the need for this study evident.Methods: We proposed a temporal deep learning method, based on a time-aware long short-term memory (T-LSTM) neural network and used an online open dataset, including blood samples of 485 patients from Wuhan, China, to train the model. Our method can grasp the dynamic relations in irregularly sampled time series, which is ignored by existing works. Specifically, our method predicted the outcome of COVID-19 patients by considering both the biomarkers and the irregular time intervals. Then, we used the patient representations, extracted from T-LSTM units, to subtype the patient stages and describe the disease progression of COVID-19.Results: Using our method, the accuracy of the outcome of prediction results was more than 90% at 12 days and 98, 95 and 93% at 3, 6, and 9 days, respectively. Most importantly, we found 4 stages of COVID-19 progression with different patient statuses and mortality risks. We ranked 40 biomarkers related to disease and gave the reference values of them for each stage. Top 5 is Lymph, LDH, hs-CRP, Indirect Bilirubin, Creatinine. Besides, we have found 3 complications - myocardial injury, liver function injury and renal function injury. Predicting which of the 4 stages the patient is currently in can help doctors better assess and cure the patient.Conclusions: To combat the COVID-19 epidemic, this paper aims to help clinicians better assess and treat infected patients, provide relevant researchers with potential disease progression patterns, and enable more effective use of medical resources. Our method predicted patient outcomes with high accuracy and identified a four-stage disease progression. We hope that the obtained results and patterns will aid in fighting the disease. Transitional peri-urban contexts are frontiers for sustainable development where land-use change involves negotiation and contestation between diverse interest groups. Multiple, complex trade-offs between outcomes emerge which have both negative and positive impacts on progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These trade-offs are often overlooked in policy and planning processes which depend on top-down expert perspectives and rely on course grain aggregate data which does not reflect complex peri-urban dynamics or the rapid pace of change. Tools are required to address this gap, integrate data from diverse perspectives and inform more inclusive planning processes. In this paper, we draw on a reinterpretation of empirical data concerned with land-use change and multiple dimensions of food security from the city of Wuhan in China to illustrate some of the complex trade-offs between SDG goals that tend to be overlooked with current planning approaches. We then describe the development of an interactive web-based tool that implements deep learning methods for fine-grained land-use classification of high-resolution remote sensing imagery and integrates this with a flexible method for rapid trade-off analysis of land-use change scenarios. The development and potential use of the tool are illustrated using data from the Wuhan case study example. This tool has the potential to support participatory planning processes by providing a platform for multiple stakeholders to explore the implications of planning decisions and land-use policies. Used alongside other planning, engagement and ecosystem service mapping tools it can help to reveal invisible trade-offs and foreground the perspectives of diverse stakeholders. A novel coronavirus, called 2019-nCoV, was recently found in Wuhan, Hubei Province of China, and now is spreading across China and other parts of the world. Although there are some drugs to treat 2019-nCoV, there is no proper scientific evidence about its activity on the virus. It is of high significance to develop a drug that can combat the virus effectively to save valuable human lives. It usually takes a much longer time to develop a drug using traditional methods. For 2019-nCoV, it is now better to rely on some alternative methods such as deep learning to develop drugs that can combat such a disease effectively since 2019-nCoV is highly homologous to SARS-CoV. In the present work, we first collected virus RNA sequences of 18 patients reported to have 2019-nCoV from the public domain database, translated the RNA into protein sequences, and performed multiple sequence alignment. After a careful literature survey and sequence analysis, 3C-like protease is considered to be a major therapeutic target and we built a protein 3D model of 3C-like protease using homology modeling. Relying on the structural model, we used a pipeline to perform large scale virtual screening by using a deep learning based method to accurately rank/identify protein–ligand interacting pairs developed recently in our group. Our model identified potential drugs for 2019-nCoV 3C-like protease by performing drug screening against four chemical compound databases (Chimdiv, Targetmol-Approved_Drug_Library, Targetmol-Natural_Compound_Library, and Targetmol-Bioactive_Compound_Library) and a database of tripeptides. Through this paper, we provided the list of possible chemical ligands (Meglumine, Vidarabine, Adenosine, d-Sorbitol, d-Mannitol, Sodium_gluconate, Ganciclovir and Chlorobutanol) and peptide drugs (combination of isoleucine, lysine and proline) from the databases to guide the experimental scientists and validate the molecules which can combat the virus in a shorter time. Since the appearance of the COVID-19 pandemic (at the end of 2019, Wuhan, China), the recognition of COVID-19 with medical imaging has become an active research topic for the machine learning and computer vision community. This paper is based on the results obtained from the 2021 COVID-19 SPGC challenge, which aims to classify volumetric CT scans into normal, COVID-19, or community-acquired pneumonia (Cap) classes. To this end, we proposed a deep-learning-based approach (CNR-IEMN) that consists of two main stages. In the first stage, we trained four deep learning architectures with a multi-tasks strategy for slice-level classification. In the second stage, we used the previously trained models with an XG-boost classifier to classify the whole CT scan into normal, COVID-19, or Cap classes. Our approach achieved a good result on the validation set, with an overall accuracy of 87.75% and 96.36%, 52.63%, and 95.83% sensitivities for COVID-19, Cap, and normal, respectively. On the other hand, our approach achieved fifth place on the three test datasets of SPGC in the COVID-19 challenge, where our approach achieved the best result for COVID-19 sensitivity. COVID-19 is a kind of coronavirus that appeared in China in the Province of Wuhan in December 2019. The most significant influence of this virus is its very highly contagious characteristic which may lead to death. The standard diagnosis of COVID-19 is based on swabs from the throat and nose, their sensitivity is not high enough and so they are prone to errors. Early diagnosis of COVID-19 disease is important to provide the chance of quick isolation of the suspected cases and to decrease the opportunity of infection in healthy people. In this research, a framework for chest X-ray image classification tasks based on deep learning is proposed to help in early diagnosis of COVID-19. The proposed framework contains two phases which are the pre-processing phase and classification phase which uses pre-trained convolution neural network models based on transfer learning. In the pre-processing phase, different image enhancements have been applied to full and segmented X-ray images to improve the classification performance of the CNN models. Two CNN pre-trained models have been used for classification which are VGG19 and EfficientNetB0. From experimental results, the best model achieved a sensitivity of 0.96, specificity of 0.94, precision of 0.9412, F1 score of 0.9505 and accuracy of 0.95 using enhanced full X-ray images for binary classification of chest X-ray images into COVID-19 or normal with VGG19. The emergence of the novel coronavirus in Wuhan, China since 2019, has put the world in an exotic state of emergency and affected millions of lives. It is five times more deadly than Influenza and causes significant morbidity and mortality. COVID-19 mainly affects the pulmonary system leading to respiratory disorders. However, earlier studies indicated that COVID-19 infection may cause cardiovascular diseases, which can be detected using an electrocardiogram (ECG). This work introduces an advanced deep learning architecture for the automatic detection of COVID-19 and heart diseases from ECG images. In particular, a hybrid combination of the EfficientNet-B0 CNN model and Vision Transformer is adopted in the proposed architecture. To our knowledge, this study is the first research endeavor to investigate the potential of the vision transformer model to identify COVID-19 in ECG data. We carry out two classification schemes, a binary classification to identify COVID-19 cases, and a multi-class classification, to differentiate COVID-19 cases from normal cases and other cardiovascular diseases. The proposed method surpasses existing state-of-the-art approaches, demonstrating an accuracy of 100% and 95.10% for binary and multiclass levels, respectively. These results prove that artificial intelligence can potentially be used to detect cardiovascular anomalies caused by COVID-19, which may help clinicians overcome the limitations of traditional diagnosis. Coronavirus disease is a fatal epidemic that has originated in Wuhan, China in December 2019. This disease is diagnosed using radiological images taken with the help of basic scanning methods besides the test kits for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). Automatic analysis of chest Computed Tomography (CT) images that are based on image processing technology plays an important role in combating this infectious disease. In this paper, a new Multiple Kernels-ELM-based Deep Neural Network (MKs-ELM-DNN) method is proposed for the detection of novel coronavirus disease - also known as COVID-19, through chest CT scanning images. In the model proposed, deep features are extracted from CT scan images using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). For this purpose, pre-trained CNN-based DenseNet201 architecture, which is based on the transfer learning approach is used. Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) classifier based on different activation methods is used to calculate the architecture's performance. Lastly, the final class label is determined using the majority voting method for prediction of the results obtained from each architecture based on ReLU-ELM, PReLU-ELM, and TanhReLU-ELM. In experimental works, a public dataset containing COVID-19 and Non-COVID-19 classes was used to verify the validity of the MKs-ELM-DNN model proposed. According to the results obtained, the accuracy score was obtained as 98.36% using the MKs-ELM-DNN model. The results have demonstrated that, when compared, the MKs-ELM-DNN model proposed is proven to be more successful than the state-of-the-art algorithms and previous studies. COVID-19, which originated from Wuhan, rapidly spread throughout the world and became a public health crisis. Recognizing the positive cases at the earliest stage was crucial in order to restrain the spread of this virus and to perform medical treatment quickly for patients affected. However, the limited supply of RT-PCR as a diagnosis tool caused greatly delay in obtaining examination results of the suspected patients. Previous research stated that using radiologic images could be utilized to detect COVID-19 before the symptoms appeared. With the rapid development of Artificial intelligence in medical imaging in recent years, deep learning as the core of this technology could achieve human-level-performance in diagnostic accuracy. In this paper, deep learning was implemented to detect COVID-19 using a chest X-ray dataset. The proposed model employed a multi-kernel convolution neural network (CNN) block combined with pre-trained ResNet- 34 to overcome an imbalanced dataset. The model block adopted different kernel sizes as 1x1, 3x3, 5x5, and 7x7. The findings show that the proposed model is capable of performing binary and three class classification tasks with an accuracy of 100% and 93.51% in the validation phase and 95% and 83% in the test phase, respectively. Accurate forecasting of vessel traffic flow is crucial for establishing a smart inland waterway transportation system, ensuring real-time safety supervision, and enabling prompt emergency response. While existing methods mainly focus on temporal correlation, there is a need for research on utilizing spatiotemporal features for area vessel traffic forecasting. The study proposes a novel spatiotemporal vessel traffic fluxes prediction model called STA-BiLSTM. The model combines the Graph Attention (GAT) network and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network within the GAT-LSTM framework to capture the spatial and temporal aspects of vessel traffic patterns. The proposed model incorporates the attention mechanism and Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) model to enhance the accuracy and robustness of ship traffic flow prediction by capturing the dependencies between time steps and waterway segments. Experimental results based on three actual Yangtze River vessel traffic flow datasets demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method over traditional approaches. Furthermore, ablation experiments validate the effective extraction of spatiotemporal dependency features between river segments by the STA-BiLSTM model. The global spread of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, originating in Wuhan, China, has had profound consequences on both health and the economy. Traditional alignment-based phylogenetic tree methods for tracking epidemic dynamics demand substantial computational power due to the growing number of sequenced strains. Consequently, there is a pressing need for an alignment-free approach to characterize these strains and monitor the dynamics of various variants. In this work, we introduce a swift and straightforward tool named GenoSig, implemented in C++. The tool exploits the Di and Tri nucleotide frequency signatures to delineate the taxonomic lineages of SARS-CoV-2 by employing diverse machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) models. Our approach achieved a tenfold cross-validation accuracy of 87.88% (± 0.013) for DL and 86.37% (± 0.0009) for Random Forest (RF) model, surpassing the performance of other ML models. Validation using an additional unexposed dataset yielded comparable results. Despite variations in architectures between DL and RF, it was observed that later clades, specifically GRA, GRY, and GK, exhibited superior performance compared to earlier clades G and GH. As for the continental origin of the virus, both DL and RF models exhibited lower performance than in predicting clades. However, both models demonstrated relatively higher accuracy for Europe, North America, and South America compared to other continents, with DL outperforming RF. Both models consistently demonstrated a preference for cytosine and guanine over adenine and thymine in both clade and continental analyses, in both Di and Tri nucleotide frequencies signatures. Our findings suggest that GenoSig provides a straightforward approach to address taxonomic, epidemiological, and biological inquiries, utilizing a reductive method applicable not only to SARS-CoV-2 but also to similar research questions in an alignment-free context. Simple Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic showcases the impact of mitigation and elimination strategies across the globe, including the development of effective vaccines, antiviral drugs and diagnostic tools. However, the virus changes rapidly over time. Consequently, control strategies have been limited by time-consuming experimental acquisition of three-dimensional atomic protein structures of the fast-developing mutant 'variants' of the virus, which remains an unviable strategy for fast and effective disease control. Here, we use AlphaFold2 to model the atomic structure of the ever-changing SARS-CoV-2 spike protein in silico. AlphaFold2 is an artificial intelligence (AI) deep learning computational tool capable of producing models at experimental resolution in only a few hours. Structural models for major Variants of Concern (Alpha, Delta, and Omicron) and latitude-delimited haplotypes, sets of genetically linked and highly prevalent mutations that impact the epidemic calendar of the virus, were compared to the structure of the reference Wuhan strain. We find that patterns of structural change triggered by seasonal haplotype diversification could help predict the changing face of the virus, understand seasonal behavior, and develop more resilient vaccines and drugs. The slow experimental acquisition of high-quality atomic structures of the rapidly changing proteins of the COVID-19 virus challenges vaccine and therapeutic drug development efforts. Fortunately, deep learning tools such as AlphaFold2 can quickly generate reliable models of atomic structure at experimental resolution. Current modeling studies have focused solely on definitions of mutant constellations of Variants of Concern (VOCs), leaving out the impact of haplotypes on protein structure. Here, we conduct a thorough comparative structural analysis of S-proteins belonging to major VOCs and corresponding latitude-delimited haplotypes that affect viral seasonal behavior. Our approach identified molecular regions of importance as well as patterns of structural recruitment. The S1 subunit hosted the majority of structural changes, especially those involving the N-terminal domain (NTD) and the receptor-binding domain (RBD). In particular, structural changes in the NTD were much greater than just translations in three-dimensional space, altering the sub-structures to greater extents. We also revealed a notable pattern of structural recruitment with the early VOCs Alpha and Delta behaving antagonistically by suppressing regions of structural change introduced by their corresponding haplotypes, and the current VOC Omicron behaving synergistically by amplifying or collecting structural change. Remarkably, haplotypes altering the galectin-like structure of the NTD were major contributors to seasonal behavior, supporting its putative environmental-sensing role. Our results provide an extensive view of the evolutionary landscape of the S-protein across the COVID-19 pandemic. With the rapid development of Chinese cities, the spatial pattern in historical districts has deteriorated due to a lack of protection measures. Indigenous communities have taken it upon themselves to expand certain spaces around the original residential buildings in order to meet the demands of modern life. However, this expansion has had a negative impact on the stylistic integrity of historical districts, leading to a conflict between cultural heritage and district protection. This study focuses on Tanhualin, a representative historical district in Wuhan. The study divides the district into 10 sub-areas, extracting a total of 4850 street views and selecting 6752 spontaneous spatial samples from them. Utilizing the Mask R-CNN model, the study uses computer-based deep learning to identify, summarize, and categorize the various forms and functions of these spontaneous spaces. The study also analyzes the negative impact of these spaces on the unity of the historical blocks' interfaces, as well as their positive impact on cultural heritage and the creation of a distinctive atmosphere. Finally, the study proposes reconstruction and renewal strategies from both urban design and architectural design perspectives. These strategies aim to improve the quality of life for indigenous communities, establish a sustainable system for preserving historical imprints, protect the cultural atmosphere of historical blocks, and enhance the adaptability of these blocks in modern cities. A global pandemic on March 11th of 2020, which was initially renowned by the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed the coronavirus (the COVID-19 epidemic). Coronavirus was flown in -December 2019 in Wuhan, Hubei region in China. Currently, the situation is enlarged by the infection in more than 200 countries all over the world. In this situation it was rising into huge forms in Bangladesh too. Modulated with a public dataset delivered by the IEDCR health authority, we have produced a sustainable prognostic method of COVID-19 outbreak in Bangladesh using a deep learning model. Throughout the research, we forecasted up to 30 days in which per day actual prediction was confirmed, death and recoveries number of people. Furthermore, we illustrated that long short-term memory (LSTM) demands the actual output trends among time series data analysis with a controversial study that exceeds random forest (RF) regression and support vector regression (SVR), which both are machine learning (ML) models. The current COVID-19 outbreak in Bangladesh has been considered in this paper. The Coronavirus epidemic first appeared in Wuhan-China on December, 31st, 2019. This has put the world's hospitals, clinics, testing laboratories and health administrations under pressure. As of April, 04th, 2020, the World Health Organization reported more than 167515 confirmed cases in more than 100 countries worldwide. The diagnosis of the epidemic will increase the burden on overburdened testing laboratories. Several screening methods have been proposed in parallel in order to facilitate and, above all, to make rapid diagnosis easier. At this level, X-Ray images seem to be a good accompanying solution for emerging countries to help rapid screening. The solution proposed in this paper consists on a collaborative and smart platform based on the Convolutional Neural Network for Classification and Detection namely VGG16. The platform ensures the fast download of the X-Ray image, with the entry of the patient's personal information followed by the launch of a 5 seconds test. A novel virus emerged from Wuhan, China, at the end of 2019 and quickly evolved into a pandemic, significantly impacting various industries, especially healthcare. One critical lesson from COVID-19 is the importance of understanding and predicting underlying comorbidities to better prioritize care and pharmacological therapies. Factors like age, race, and comorbidity history are crucial in determining disease mortality. While clinical data from hospitals and cohorts have led to the identification of these comorbidities, traditional approaches often lack a mechanistic understanding of the connections between them. In response, we utilized a deep learning approach to integrate COVID-19 data with data from other diseases, aiming to detect comorbidities with mechanistic insights. Our modified algorithm in the mpDisNet package, based on word-embedding deep learning techniques, incorporates miRNA expression profiles from SARS-CoV-2 infected cell lines and their target transcription factors. This approach is aligned with the emerging field of network medicine, which seeks to define diseases based on distinct pathomechanisms rather than just phenotypes. The main aim is discovery of possible unknown comorbidities by connecting the diseases by their miRNA mediated regulatory interactions. The algorithm can predict the majority of COVID-19's known comorbidities, as well as several diseases that have yet to be discovered to be comorbid with COVID-19. These potentially comorbid diseases should be investigated further to raise awareness and prevention, as well as informing the comorbidity research for the next possible outbreak. Lane-level road information is especially crucial now that high-precision navigation maps are in more demand. Road information may be obtained rapidly and affordably by mining floating vehicle data (FCD). A method is proposed to extract the number of lanes on urban roads by combining deep learning and low-frequency FCD. Initially, the FCD is cleaned using the Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) clustering technique. Then, the FCD is split into three categories based on the typical urban road types: one-way one-lane, one-way two-lane, and one-way three-lane, and the deep learning sample data is created using segmentation, rotation, and gridding. Lastly, the number of urban road lanes is obtained by training and predicting the sample data using the LeNet-5 model. The number of urban road lanes was effectively identified from the low-frequency FCD with a detection accuracy of 92.7% through the cleaning and classification of Wuhan FCD. Urban roads can be efficiently covered by the FCD on a regular basis, and lane information can be efficiently collected using deep learning techniques. The human spatial perception of urban streets has a high complexity and traditional research methods often focus on access surveys of human perception. Urban streets serve as both a direct conduit for pedestrians' impressions of a city and a reflection of the spatial quality of that city. Street-view images can provide a large amount of primary data for the image semantic segmentation technique. Deep learning techniques were used in this study to collect the boring, beautiful, depressing, lively, safe, and wealthy perception scores of street spaces based on these images. Then, the spatial pattern of urban street-space quality perception was analyzed by global Moran's I and GIS hotspot analyses. The findings demonstrate that various urban facilities affect street quality perception in different ways and that the strength of an influencing factor's influence varies depending on its geographical location. The results of the influencing factors reveal the difference in the degree of influence of positive and negative influencing factors on various perceptions of the visual dimension of pedestrians. The primary contribution of this study is that it reduces the potential bias of a single data source by using multi-dimensional impact analysis to explain the relationship between urban street perception and urban facilities and visual elements. With the development of urbanization and the expansion of floating populations, rental housing has become an increasingly common living choice for many people, and housing rental prices have attracted great attention from individuals, enterprises and the government. The housing rental prices are principally estimated based on structural, locational and neighborhood variables, among which the relationships are complicated and can hardly be captured entirely by simple one-dimensional models; in addition, the influence of the geographic objects on the price may vary with the increase in their quantities. However, existing pricing models usually take those structural, locational and neighborhood variables as one-dimensional inputs into neural networks, and often neglect the aggregated effects of geographical objects, which may lead to fluctuating rental price estimations. Therefore, this paper proposes a rental housing price model based on the convolutional neural network (CNN) and the synthetic spatial density of points of interest (POIs). The CNN can efficiently extract the complex characteristics among the relevant variables of housing, and the two-dimensional locational and neighborhood variables, based on the synthetic spatial density, effectively reflect the aggregated effects of the urban facilities on rental housing prices, thereby improving the accuracy of the model. Taking Wuhan, China, as the study area, the proposed method achieves satisfactory and accurate rental price estimations (coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.9097, root mean square error (RMSE) = 3.5126) in comparison with other commonly used pricing models. Mapping land surface water automatically and accurately is closely related to human activity, biological reproduction, and the ecological environment. High spatial resolution remote sensing image (HSRRSI) data provide extensive details for land surface water and gives reliable data support for the accurate extraction of land surface water information. The convolutional neural network (CNN), widely applied in semantic segmentation, provides an automatic extraction method in land surface water information. This paper proposes a new lightweight CNN named Lightweight Multi-Scale Land Surface Water Extraction Network (LMSWENet) to extract the land surface water information based on GaoFen-1D satellite data of Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. To verify the superiority of LMSWENet, we compared the efficiency and water extraction accuracy with four mainstream CNNs (DeeplabV3+, FCN, PSPNet, and UNet) using quantitative comparison and visual comparison. Furthermore, we used LMSWENet to extract land surface water information of Wuhan on a large scale and produced the land surface water map of Wuhan for 2020 (LSWMWH-2020) with 2m spatial resolution. Random and equidistant validation points verified the mapping accuracy of LSWMWH-2020. The results are summarized as follows: (1) Compared with the other four CNNs, LMSWENet has a lightweight structure, significantly reducing the algorithm complexity and training time. (2) LMSWENet has a good performance in extracting various types of water bodies and suppressing noises because it introduces channel and spatial attention mechanisms and combines features from multiple scales. The result of land surface water extraction demonstrates that the performance of LMSWENet exceeds that of the other four CNNs. (3) LMSWENet can meet the requirement of high-precision mapping on a large scale. The novel coronavirus (nCoV-2019) is responsible for the acute respiratory disease in humans known as COVID-19. This infection was found in the Wuhan and Hubei provinces of China in the month of December 2019, after which it spread all over the world. By March, 2020, this epidemic had spread to about 117 countries and its different variants continue to disturb human life all over the world, causing great damage to the economy. Through this paper, we have attempted to identify and predict the novel coronavirus from influenza-A viral cases and healthy patients without infection through applying deep learning technology over patient pulmonary computed tomography (CT) images, as well as by the model that has been evaluated. The CT image data used under this method has been collected from various radiopedia data from online sources with a total of 548 CT images, of which 232 are from 12 patients infected with COVID-19, 186 from 17 patients with influenza A virus, and 130 are from 15 healthy candidates without infection. From the results of examination of the reference data determined from the point of view of CT imaging cases in general, the accuracy of the proposed model is 79.39%. Thus, this deep learning model will help in establishing early screening of COVID-19 patients and thus prove to be an analytically robust method for clinical experts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In recent months, a novel virus named Coronavirus has emerged to become a pandemic. The virus is spreading not only humans, but it is also affecting animals. First ever case of Coronavirus was registered in city of Wuhan, Hubei province of China on 31st of December in 2019. Coronavirus infected patients display very similar symptoms like pneumonia, and it attacks the respiratory organs of the body, causing difficulty in breathing. The disease is diagnosed using a Real-Time Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain reaction (RT-PCR) kit and requires time in the laboratory to confirm the presence of the virus. Due to insufficient availability of the kits, the suspected patients cannot be treated in time, which in turn increases the chance of spreading the disease. To overcome this solution, radiologists observed the changes appearing in the radiological images such as X-ray and CT scans. Using deep learning algorithms, the suspected patients' X-ray or Computed Tomography (CT) scan can differentiate between the healthy person and the patient affected by Coronavirus. In this paper, popular deep learning architectures are used to develop a Coronavirus diagnostic systems. The architectures used in this paper are VGG16, DenseNet121, Xception, NASNet, and EfficientNet. Multiclass classification is performed in this paper. The classes considered are COVID-19 positive patients, normal patients, and other class. In other class, chest X-ray images of pneumonia, influenza, and other illnesses related to the chest region are included. The accuracies obtained for VGG16, DenseNet121, Xception, NASNet, and EfficientNet are 79.01%, 89.96%, 88.03%, 85.03% and 93.48% respectively. The need for deep learning with radiologic images is necessary for this critical condition as this will provide a second opinion to the radiologists fast and accurately. The COVID-19 pandemic undoubtedly has a great impact on the world economy, especially the urban economy. It is urgent to study the environmental pathogenic factors and transmission route of it. We want to discuss the relationship between the urban living environment and the number of confirmed cases at the community scale, and examine the driving forces of community infection (e.g., environment, ecology, convenience, livability, and population density). Besides, we hope that our research will help make our cities more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. 650 communities with confirmed COVID-19 cases in Wuhan were selected as the research objects. We utilize deep learning semantic segmentation technology to calculate the Visible Green Index (VGI) and Sky View Factor (SVF) of street view and use Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to study the driving forces of pandemic situation. Temperature and humidity information recorded by sensors was also used for urban sensing. We find that the more SVF has a certain inhibitory effect on the virus transmission, but contrary to our intuitive perception, higher VGI has a certain promotion effect. Also, the structural equation model constructed in this paper can explain the variance of 28.9% of the number of confirmed cases, and results (path coef.) demonstrate that residential density of community (0.517) is a major influencing factor for pandemic cases, whereas convenience of community living (0.234) strongly influence it. Communities with good suitability of community human settlement (e.g., construction time, price) are safer in the face of pandemic events. Does the influence of SVF and VGI on the results of the pandemic situation mean that sunlight can effectively block the spread of the virus? Accurate vessel travel time estimation is crucial for optimizing port operations and ensuring port safety. Existing vessel travel time prediction models primarily rely on path-finding algorithms and corresponding distance/speed relationships to calculate travel time. However, these models overlook the complex nature of vessel travel time, which is influenced by multiple traffic-related factors such as collision avoidance, shortest path selection, and vessel personnel performance. The lack of consideration for these specific aspects limits the accuracy and applicability of current models. We propose a novel context-aware deep learning approach for inland vessel travel time prediction. Firstly, we introduce a complex network that captures vessel–vessel interaction contexts, providing valuable traffic environment information as an input for the deep learning model. Additionally, we employ a convolutional neural network to extract spatial trajectory information, which is then integrated with interaction contexts and indirect context information. In the vessel travel time prediction procedure, we utilize a long short-term memory network to capture the temporal dependence within consecutive channel sections' fused multiple context feature sets. Extensive experiments incorporating historical data from the Wuhan section of the Yangtze River in China demonstrate the superiority of our proposed model over classical models in predicting vessel travel time. Importantly, our model accounts for the specific traffic contexts that had previously been overlooked, leading to improved accuracy and applicability in inland vessel travel time prediction. Community roads are crucial to community navigation. There are automatic methods to obtain community roads using trajectories, but the sparsity and uneven density distribution of community trajectories present significant challenges in identifying community roads. To overcome these challenges, we propose a conditional generative adversarial network (MAC-GAN) supervised by pedestrian trajectories and neighborhood building footprints for road generation. MAC-GAN packs the "road trajectory–building footprint" pairs into images to characterize implicit ternary relations and sets up a multi-scale skip-connected and asymmetric convolution-based generator to incorporate such a relationship, in which the generator and discriminator mutually learn to optimize the network parameters and then derive approximate optimal results. Experiments on 37 real-world community datasets in Wuhan, China, are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model. The experimental results show that the F1 score of our model increases by 1.7–6.8%, and the IOU of our model increases by 2.2–7.5% compared with three baselines (i.e., Pix2pix, GANmapper, and DLinkGAN (configured by DLinknet)). The new COVID-19 emerged in a town in China named Wuhan in December 2019, and since then, this deadly virus has infected 324 million people worldwide and caused 5.53 million deaths by January 2022. Because of the rapid spread of this pandemic, different countries are facing the problem of a shortage of resources, such as medical test kits and ventilators, as the number of cases increased uncontrollably. Therefore, developing a readily available, low-priced, and automated approach for COVID-19 identification is the need of the hour. The proposed study uses chest radiography images (CRIs) such as X-rays and computed tomography (CTs) to detect chest infections, as these modalities contain important information about chest infections. This research introduces a novel hybrid deep learning model named Lightweight ResGRU that uses residual blocks and a bidirectional gated recurrent unit to diagnose non-COVID and COVID-19 infections using pre-processed CRIs. Lightweight ResGRU is used for multi-modal two-class classification (normal and COVID-19), three-class classification (normal, COVID-19, and viral pneumonia), four-class classification (normal, COVID-19, viral pneumonia, and bacterial pneumonia), and COVID-19 severity types' classification (i.e., atypical appearance, indeterminate appearance, typical appearance, and negative for pneumonia). The proposed architecture achieved f-measure of 99.0%, 98.4%, 91.0%, and 80.5% for two-class, three-class, four-class, and COVID-19 severity level classifications, respectively, on unseen data. A large dataset is created by combining and changing different publicly available datasets.
