Abstract The interplay between immune cells/macrophages and fibroblast‐like synoviocytes (FLSs) plays a pivotal role in initiating synovitis; however, their involvement in metabolic disorders, including diabetic osteoarthritis (DOA), is largely unknown. In this study, single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) is employed to investigate the synovial cell composition of DOA. A significant enrichment of activated macrophages within eight distinct synovial cell clusters is found in DOA synovium. Moreover, it is demonstrated that increased glycolysis in FLSs is a key driver for DOA patients’ synovial macrophage infiltration and polarization. In addition, the yes‐associated protein 1 (YAP1)/thioredoxin‐interacting protein (TXNIP) signaling axis is demonstrated to play a crucial role in regulating glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1)‐dependent glycolysis in FLSs, thereby controlling the expression of a series of adhesion molecules such as intercellular adhesion molecule‐1 (ICAM‐1) which may subsequently fine‐tune the infiltration of M1‐polarized synovial macrophages in DOA patients and db/db diabetic OA mice. For treatment, M1 macrophage membrane‐camouflaged Verteporfin (Vt)‐loaded PLGA nanoparticles (MVPs) are developed to ameliorate DOA progression by regulating the YAP1/TXNIP signaling axis, thus suppressing the synovial glycolysis and the infiltration of M1‐polarized macrophages. The results provide several novel insights into the pathogenesis of DOA and offer a promising treatment approach for DOA.

Antibiotics are widely used in livestock and poultry farming for disease prevention and animal growth promotion. Due to the low absorption rate of antibiotics by animals, antibiotics can remain in livestock and poultry manure as parent or metabolites and enter the farm environment with the application of livestock and poultry manure, which has potential effects on crop growth. This study assessed the effects of single and combined contamination of antibiotics in soil on tomato plants. The accumulation of antibiotics in tomato plants and the impacts on crop growth were investigated. A pot experiment with sandy soil was conducted in a greenhouse, and a 100-day tomato growth experiment was conducted by adding different doses of tetracycline and sulfadiazine (0, 25, and 50 mg/kg). The antibiotic contents in various tissues and organs of the tomato were examined, and the changes in photosynthetic intensity and biomass of the tomato were observed to simulate the effects of exogenous antibiotic addition on the growth and quality of the tomato. The results indicated that tomato plants simultaneously absorbed tetracycline and sulfamethazine from soil. Antibiotics were primarily absorbed by tomato roots and were further delivered to plant leaves, stems, and fruits. Antibiotics exhibited the highest concentration in roots, followed by leaves, stems, and fruits. The contents of tetracycline and sulfamethazine in plant tissues elevated with the increase in soil antibiotics, which were higher in the vegetative growth stage than those in the late growth stage. At concentrations of 25 and 50 mg/kg, tetracycline and sulfamethazine combined pollution significantly reduced leaf photosynthetic rates and plant biomass. Notably, high levels of antibiotics led to decreases in tomato yield and quality. Additionally, high concentrations of antibiotic contamination elevated leaf nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, but reduced the leaf carbon/nitrogen ratio, as well as reduced the vitamin C content in the fruits. Overall, since antibiotics can accumulate in vegetables and enter the food chain, the findings are crucial for evaluating the impacts of soil antibiotic contamination on the production and food safety of tomato products, and will also add to our knowledge of antibiotic migration into the food chain.

This paper first theoretically analyzes the impact mechanism of digital finance on industrial structure upgrading, and then empirically analyzes the relationship between digital finance and industrial structure upgrading. The results show that the development of digital finance can promote the upgrading of industrial structure. Further analysis shows that the proper allocation of government attention is also key to achieving digital finance development and industrial structure upgrading. The above conclusions provide policy implications between the development of digital finance and the upgrading of industrial structure in China.

Ti/SnO2-Sb-Fe electrodes have been prepared by a novel precipitation printing method, the traditional sol-gel method, and the direct current deposition method. The microstructure of the electrodes was systematically characterized through X-ray diffraction (XRD) observation and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) verification. In addition, the morphology was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), while the electrochemical properties and the stability were further investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and accelerated life testing. The results indicate that the Ti/SnO2-Sb-Fe electrode prepared by precipitation printing has the smallest nanoparticle structure (<10 nm), a higher electrochemical porosity (49.6%), and a higher oxygen evolution potential (2.20V). As a comparison, theTi/SnO2-Sb-Fe electrode prepared by the sol-gel method has the longest service life. To further evaluate the electrocatalytic activity of the Ti/SnO2-Sb-Fe electrodes, Acid Red 73 was employed as simulated sewage for electrochemical degradation. After 180 min, the removal efficiency of AR 73 reached 86.8%, 63.4%, and 74%, respectively, for Ti/SnO2-Sb-Fe electrodes prepared by precipitation printing method, traditional sol-gel method, and direct current deposition method. Vegetable production in China is suffering increasingly heavy metal damages from various pollution sources including agricultural, industrial and other activities. It is of practical significance to understand the effects of human activities on the accumulation and exchangeability of soil heavy metals in vegetable fields. In this study, seventy-two arable layer samples of vegetable soils were collected from the Shaoxing coastal plain, a representative region of the coastal plain of eastern Zhejiang province, China for characterizing the effects of fertilization methods on accumulation and exchangeable heavy metals in soils (Exchangeable heavy metals in the soil samples were extracted by 0.01 mol L −1 CaCl 2 ). The different origins of heavy metals in the vegetable soils were investigated by multivariate statistical techniques, including principal component analysis (PCA) and cluster analysis (CA). Marked increases were noted for soil heavy metals due to long-term manure or chemical fertilizer application. Three significant components were extracted by PCA, explaining 78.86% of total variance. Mn, Co, Ni, Fe, and Al were associated in lithogenic components, while an anthropogenic origin was identified for Cu, Cr, Pb, Zn, Cd, Hg. However, As level was due to the geochemical background and was not linked to soil management. The results obtained by cluster analysis elucidated individual relationships between metals and agreed with PCA. Cu, Cr, Pb, and Zn in the soils that were mainly associated with the application of chemical fertilizers, organic manures or other activities regarding soil management. Although the origin of Cd, Hg, and As was also attributed to soil management, other sources like vehicle exhaust or aerial depositions were not discarded as possible contributors. Soil amended with organic fertilizer contained more Cu, Pb, Zn and Cr; whereas the soil amended with chemical fertilizer had more Cd. Application of fertilizers also had significant effect on the concentrations of exchangeable heavy metals. Higher mean concentrations of exchangeable Cd and Pb were found in the soils amended with chemical fertilizers, while those of exchangeable Cu and Zn were found in the soils amended with organic fertilizers. [Objective] Antibiotics are extensively given to livestock to promote its growth and reduce its diseases. Therefore, antibiotics may be present in manure and slurry from their parent compound and/or metabolites. The soil environments may be exposed to these antibiotics due to the application of animal manure to agricultural land. So, in this study, accumulation and phytotoxicity indicators were analyzed to eval uate the effects of oxytetracycline(OTC, C22H24N2O9HCl) on vegetable crop. [Method] A pot experiment was conducted in the greenhouse, radish plant(Raphanus sativus L.) was grown for seven weeks in two soils(sand soil and clayey soil) that were amended with pig manure and spiked with six levels(0, 2, 5,10, 25 and 50 mg per kg of soil) of oxytetracycline for observing the potential effects of long-term application of antibiotics-contained animal manure on plant growth and determining whether or not radish plant grown in manure-applied soils absorbs OTC present in the soils. Contents of oxytetracycline in both root and shoot tissues were determined, and effects of soil oxytetracycline pollution on photosynthesis and biomass of the plant were monitored. [Result] The results showed that radish plant can absorb OTC from the soils. The concentration of OTC in plant tissues increased with increasing the concentration of OTC present in the soils, and was higher at the initial growth stage than at last stage of the plant. Higher concentration of OTC was found in roots than shoots of the plant. Bioavailability of OTC in the sandy soil was greater than that in clayey soil. OTC did not affect the growth of the plants when its concentration in the soils was less than 10 mg/kg. However,higher concentration of soil OTC(>25 mg/kg) caused serious stress in the plant,reducing photosynthetic rate of leaves and biomass of both roots and shoot.[Conclusion] This study points out the potential human health risk associated with consumption of fresh vegetable grown in the soils amended with antibiotic laden manures.
