International audience; This paper presents two mathematical models to solve the Energy Management problem of a building microgrid. In particular, it proposes a deterministic Mixed Integer Linear Programming and Non-Linear Programming formulations. This article focuses on the modelling process and the optimization performances for both approaches regarding optimal operation of near zero energy buildings connected to an electric microgrid with a 24 hours time horizon. For that purpose, a general architecture of a microgrid is detailed, involving energy storage systems, distributed generation and a thermal reduced-model of the grid-connected building. A continuous non-linear model is detailed along with linearisations for the mixed-integer liner formulation. Multi-physic, non-linear and non-convex phenomenon are detailed, such as ventilation and air quality models. Results show that both approaches are relevant for solving the energy management problem of the building microgrid.

Since the development of computers and calculation capacities, the design of electricalcomponents in electrical engineering is widely based on computing simulations and on numeralcalculations. In complex systems, where numerous components interact to make the systemwork, the optimal sizing of the component deeply depends on its systemic environment. Thedesign of each component is strongly linked to the functioning of the global system. Therefore,the joint design of the component into its systemic environment allows researchers to improvethe efficiency of the system.In this methodological context, we optimize an electric machine for a hybrid vehicle. Theaim of this work is to improve the global efficiency of the vehicle. The improvement of computational capabilities allows researchers to improve models and complexity of the optimization problem. In transportation applications, electrical machines are subjected to a large panel of operating points. Moreover, for hybrid vehicles, the sizing problem involves a control problem as a sub-optimization problem (power sharing between electric and thermal transmission). Therefore, a joint optimization of the energy management and sizing of the EM over a driving cycle shall be considered. The paper presents the modelling of the electrical machine based on magnetic circuit equivalence.
