Introduction Citri Sarcodactylis Fructus (CSF) is widely used as a food ingredient and a traditional Chinese medicine. In China, CSF is cultivated in many places, including Sichuan, Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Fujian provinces. The types and chemical contents of CSF from different origins may vary greatly due to the difference in climate and environmental conditions. Therefore, comparing the chemical composition of CSF from various places is vital. Objective To rapidly select potential characteristic compounds for differentiating CSF from different origins. Material and methods Thirty-one batches of CSF samples from different regions were analysed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography with hybrid quadrupole-orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry. Thereafter, chemometric methods, including principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares discrimination analysis (OPLS-DA), were employed to find differential metabolites among the CSF samples from various origins. Results PCA revealed 77.9% of the total variance and divided all CSF samples into three categories corresponding to their origins. OPLS-DA displayed better discrimination of CSF from different sources, with R2 X, R2 Y, and Q2 of 0.801, 0.985, and 0.849, respectively. Finally, 203 differential metabolites were obtained from CSF from different origins using the variable importance in projection of the OPLS-DA model, 30 of which were identified, and five coumarin compounds were selected as marker compounds discriminating CSF from different origins. Conclusion This work provides a practical strategy for classifying CSF from different origins and offers a research foundation for the quality control of CSF.

A couple of enantiomers of 2, 6-diaminotriptycene ( R, R - 1 and S, S - 1 ) are split by chiral HPLC and their absolute configurations are identified by single-crystal X-ray diffraction technology. Using the enantiomers as monomers, a couple of chiral porous polyimides ( R - FTPI and S - FTPI ) are prepared by polycondensation reactions and display good heat stability, high BET surface area and good solubility in organic solvents. Moreover, both of R - FTPI and S - FTPI can be cast into robust, free-standing films suitable for enantioselective separation with symmetrical chiral selectivity.

Semiconductor photocatalysis technology is a promising method to solve the antibiotics pollution in water. Herein, a series of Sn-doped In2.77S4 (Sn-In2.77S4) hybrid photocatalysts for tetracycline degradation have been fabricated via a one-step hydrothermal process. The analytic results exhibit that doping Sn can improve the photocatalytic performance of In2.77S4 nanosheets under the visible light illumination and the doping amount obviously affects the photocatalytic performance of the samples. When the theoretical molar ratio of Sn4+ to In3+ is 0.04:1 (4%), the photocatalytic efficiency of the Sn-In2.77S4 photocatalyst exhibits the highest of 87.4% in comparison with 39.2% of pure In2.77S4 in 20 min. Moreover, its band gap energy has been reduced to 1.56 eV from 1.75 eV and the light absorption range has been broadened. The transfer rate and separation efficiency of photo-generated electron and hole pairs of the samples have also been enhanced. In addition, the holes play a leading role in the photocatalytic degradation process.

Two new phenolic glycosides 7R,8R-threo-4,7,9,9'-tetrahydroxy-3-methoxy-8-O-4'-neolignan-3'-O-(3''-α-L-arabinofuranosyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside. (1), 4-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)-2-butanone-4''-O-(6-β-D-xylosyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), along with two known related analogues 7R,8R-threo-4,7,9,9'-tetrahydroxy-3-methoxy-8-O-4'-neolignan-3'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), 4-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)-2-butanone-4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (4) were obtained from the roots of Sanguisorba officinalis. Combined with acid hydrolysis derivatization, the absolute configurations of these new compounds were elucidated by comprehensive analyses of spectroscopic data including nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), electrospray ionization high resolution mass (HRESIMS) as well as circular dichroism (CD). Compounds 1-4 exhibited anti-inflammatory properties in vitro by attenuating the production of inflammatory mediators, such as nitric oxide (NO) as well as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6).

The SrCO3/AgI photocatalysts were prepared via a co-precipitation method by using SrCO3 as a co-photocatalyst and AgI as a photo sensitizer. X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscope, X-ray photoelectron spectrometer, UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscope were used to analyze the structure, micro-morphology, chemical compositions, optical properties and photo-generated carrier behaviors of the as-prepared samples, respectively. The photocatalytic degradation mechanism of the as-developed composites was also proposed. Analysis results show SrCO3, an insulator, can improve the photocatalytic performances and recyclability of AgI for degrading tetracycline under visible light. As the theoretical molar ratio of Sr(NO3)2 to AgNO3 increases, the degradation efficiency of the hybrids first increases and then descends. When the theoretical molar ratio of that is 1: 1, it acquires the maximum of 66.6% within 8 min. This is higher than 32.0% of pure AgI and 34.0% of SrCO3. Moreover, after three times degradations it is 63.0%, which is higher than 13.6% of AgI. The improvement of the photocatalytic performance of the sample is attributed to the construction of hybrids. The main activated species in catalysis process are superoxide radicals.

Ag2WO4 is a typically noble metal based photocatalyst with highly efficient photocatalytic activity. However, due to photocorrosion, the pristine Ag2WO4 is prone to inactivation during illumination. Constructing composite photocatalyst may be a useful method to promote the stability of Ag2WO4. In this work, Ag2WO4/graphitic carbon nitride nanotubes (g-C3N4 NTs) composite photocatalyst was prepared by adopting an in-situ composite strategy. The photocatalytic performance of the samples was discussed by the degradation of rhodamine B under visible light, and the catalytic mechanism was also analyzed. The characterization results show that the photocatalytic efficiency of the as-prepared Ag2WO4/g-C3N4 NTs composite increases firstly and then decreases along with the increase of the Ag2WO4 content. When the theoretical molar ratio of Ag2WO4:g-C3N4 NTs reaches 3:2, the photocatalytic degradation efficiency achieves the optimal value, that is 92.4% within 20 min, which obviously exceeds 2.8% of pure Ag2WO4 and 48.9% of pure g-C3N4 NTs. Moreover, the separation and migration efficiency of photoelectron–hole pairs of the composites can be accelerated in comparison with pure samples. In addition, superoxide radicals and hydroxyl radicals play major roles in the photocatalytic degradation process.

The SnO2 quantum dots (SnO2QDs)/ZnS nanosheets (ZnSNs) heterojunction was fabricated via an in-situ synthetic method at room temperature. Rhodamine B, potassium dichromate, and tetracycline were used to discuss the photocatalytic activities of the as-prepared samples under the visible light illumination. The photocatalytic mechanism of the as-prepared samples was also proposed. The experimental results indicate that the degradation efficiency of the as-prepared SnO2QDs/ZnSNs heterojunction first increases and then decreases with increasing the usage of ZnSNs. When the mass ratio of SnO2QDs to ZnSNs is 1: 2 in 180 min, the asprepared samples have the highest degradation efficiency of 89.1% for rhodamine B, 97.7% for potassium dichromate, and 83.8% for tetracycline, which are much higher than 51.7%, 26.8%, and 0.9% of pure SnO2QDs as well as 37.9%, 87.1%, and 19.1% of pure ZnSNs, respectively. After it is repeatedly degraded for 3 times, it possesses the degradation efficiency of 62.5% for rhodamine B, which increases by 200.5% in comparison with 20.8% of the pure SnO2QDs. Moreover, the enhanced photocatalytic performances of the as-prepared hybrids are attributed to the formation of heterojunction between the SnO2QDs and ZnSNs. In addition, hydroxyl radicals and superoxide anion radicals play major roles during the photocatalytic degradation process, while holes play a minor role.

Quantum limit is quite easy to achieve once the band crossing exists exactly at the Fermi level ($E_F$) in topological semimetals. In multilayered Dirac fermion system, the density of Dirac fermions on the zeroth Landau levels (LLs) increases in proportion to the magnetic field, resulting in intriguing angle- and field-dependent interlayer tunneling conductivity near the quantum limit. BaGa$_2$ is an example of multilayered Dirac semimetal with anisotropic Dirac cone close to $E_F$, providing a good platform to study its interlayer transport properties. In this paper, we report the negative interlayer magnetoresistance (NIMR, I//c and B//c) induced by the tunneling of Dirac fermions on the zeroth LLs of neighbouring Ga layers in BaGa$_2$. When the field deviates from the c-axis, the interlayer resistivity $\rho_{zz}(\theta)$ increases and finally results in a peak with the field perpendicular to the c-axis. These unusual interlayer transport properties (NIMR and resistivity peak with B$\perp$c) are observed together for the first time in Dirac semimetal under ambient pressure and are well explained by the model of tunneling between Dirac fermions in the quantum limit., Comment: 12 pages, 8 figures, with supplementary materials

As part of our search for compounds with cytotoxicity from endophytes of traditional Chinese medicines, two novel nor-sesquiterpenoids (1–2) with a new skeleton containing a tetrahydrofuran moiety were isolated form a rice medium of Fusarium tricinctum, an endophytic fungus isolated from the root of Ligusticum chuanxiong. The structures of these two previously undescribed compounds were elucidated by interpretation of the spectroscopic evidences including NMR correlations as well as MS data. The absolute configurations of these two compounds were confirmed by TD-DFT-ECD calculations. An MTT assay indicated that compound 1 exhibited moderate cytotoxic activity against MV4-11 with an IC50 value of 22.29 μM.

The performance thresholds of cutting tool geometries, tool materials and machining systems are often restricted by surface friction from work material engagement and flow across the tool surfaces. This study investigates the influences of geometrically defined surface textures of the tool rake face on forces encountered during two dimensional orthogonal turning. Regular textures featuring highly uniform profiles and inter-surface blending, exhibiting no measurable recast material were produced using a multi-scanning strategy of a femtosecond pulsed laser of near IR wavelength, in specially profiled flat rake faces of cemented carbide cutting tool inserts. A series of complementary tests were carried out on open ended grooved and equivalently sized closed dimpled surface textures of defined area ratios in the presence of a cutting fluid to investigate their effects on cutting and frictional forces when machining a Chromium steel material exhibiting ductile long chip behaviour. Data captured from a purpose designed in-situ lathe based friction test to simulate chip flow during machining, orthogonal turning experiments using a zero degree rake angle setup and laboratory tribometer oscillatory tests using an identical cutting tool and workpiece material tribo-pair and lubrication fluid, highlight the influences of closed and open structured textures on surface lubrication regimes and the consequent friction forces. The results of the study reveal that surface texturing of uncoated cemented carbide tool surfaces can reduce friction when employed with coolant within the tools’ typical operating range. It has also been shown that textures having closed dimple structures produce the lowest friction forces under these conditions and reduced surface wear. The reduction of the measured surface friction produced by the dimpled textures also suggest desirable shifts in the boundary and hydrodynamic lubrication regimes towards the tools’ cutting edge.

The interplay between time-reversal symmetry (TRS) and band topology plays a crucial role in topological states of quantum matter. In time-reversal-invariant (TRI) systems, the inversion of spin-degenerate bands with opposite parity leads to nontrivial topological states, such as topological insulators and Dirac semimetals. When the TRS is broken, the exchange field induces spin splitting of the bands. The inversion of a pair of spin-splitting subbands can generate more exotic topological states, such as quantum anomalous Hall insulators and magnetic Weyl semimetals. So far, such topological phase transitions driven by the TRS breaking have not been visualized. In this work, using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we have demonstrated that the TRS breaking induces a band inversion of a pair of spin-splitting subbands at the TRI points of Brillouin zone in EuB$_6$, when a long-range ferromagnetic order is developed. The dramatic changes in the electronic structure result in a topological phase transition from a TRI ordinary insulator state to a TRS-broken topological semimetal (TSM) state. Remarkably, the magnetic TSM state has an ideal electronic structure, in which the band crossings are located at the Fermi level without any interference from other bands. Our findings not only reveal the topological phase transition driven by the TRS breaking, but also provide an excellent platform to explore novel physical behavior in the magnetic topological states of quantum matter., Comment: 22 pages, 7 figures, accepted by Phys. The structural characteristics of the polysaccharides from Aralia elata root barks (AERP) were systematically investigated by FT-IR, HPSEC-ELSD and colorimetric methods as well as by GC MS based monosaccharide compositions, Smith degradations, and methylation analysis. The result showed average molecular weights of AERP were between 42.7 kDa and 93.9 kDa. AERP was composed of Ara, Rha, GlcA, Man, Glc, and Gal in a molar ratio of 22.2: 10.3: 8.1: 32.7: 5.7: 21.2 along with a small number of sulfate (3.38%) and acetyl (4.87%) groups. The abundant glycosidic linkages of Man, Ara, Gal, and Rha were observed as more than 90% of all the monosaccharides detected. Studies to evaluate hepatoprotective potentials of AERP showed that they had potent hepatoprotective effects in vivo in carbon tetrachloride-induced acute liver injury (CIALI) in mice by histopathological evaluation, biochemical examinations and ELISA assays. GC MS was further used to determine the effects of AERP on the chemical profiles of nine common short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) produced by intestinal flora metabolism in CIALI mice. These findings not only provide novel insights into the pharmacological actions of AERP on the protection from CIALI in mice, but they also demonstrate that determining SCFA profiles by targeted GC–MS metabolomics is an effective technique to investigate the molecular mechanisms of the effects of plant polysaccharides on intestinal flora metabolism.

The present study focuses on the breaching process and failure of barrier dams due to overtopping. In this work, a series of centrifugal model tests is presented to examine the failure mechanisms of landslide dams. Based on the experimental results, failure process and mechanism of barrier dam due to overtopping are analyzed and further verified by simulating the experimental overtopping failure process. The results indicate that the barrier dam will develop during the entire process of overtopping in the width direction, whereas the breach will cease to develop at an early stage in the depth direction because of the large particles that accumulate on the downstream slope. Moreover, headcut erosion can be clearly observed in the first two stages of overtopping, and coarsening on the downstream slope occurs in the last stage of overtopping. Thus, the bottom part of the barrier dam can survive after dam breaching and full dam failure becomes relatively rare for a barrier dam. Furthermore, the remaining breach would be smaller than that of a homogeneous cohesive dam under the same conditions.

A dual-phase Mg-Li-Zn alloy was processed by a severe plastic deformation method which is a method of combination of extrusion and rolling processes and enables production of a very fine grain structure. After this processing, the Mg-Li-Zn alloy exhibited a significantly large fracture elongation of 1400% at 473 K at 0.001 s−1. Moreover, an elongation of more than 600% was observed at 473 K even at high strain rate of 0.01 s−1. Also, at a lower temperature of 423 K, the alloy exhibited a large fracture elongation of 720% at 0.001 s−1. The values of the strain rate sensitivity were approximated to 0.5, which suggested that the superplastic deformation is based on grain boundary sliding. Dislocation glide is identified to be an accommodation mechanism according to the texture evolution during the superplastic deformation. The different trends of the changes of the textures in the α and β phases indicated an inhomogeneity of grain boundary sliding between phases.

We investigate the magnetic transport properties and electronic structures of single crystal CoSi via angle-dependent quantum oscillation measurements. Prominent de Haas--van Alphen oscillations have been observed with the magnetic field tilting from $B\ensuremath{\parallel}[001]$ to $B\ensuremath{\parallel}[110]$, from which three fundamental frequencies are extracted. The low frequency ${F}_{\ensuremath{\alpha}}$, first observed in quantum oscillations, presents the contribution from the hole pocket at the Brillouin zone (BZ) center $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}$ point. Two high frequencies ${F}_{\ensuremath{\beta}}$ and ${F}_{\ensuremath{\gamma}}$, accompanied with asymmetrical peaks in the fast Fourier-transform spectra, are confirmed to stem from the electron pockets with spin-orbit coupling (SOC) at the BZ corner $R$ point. Combined with the analysis of first-principles calculations, the asymmetry of peaks originate from the SOC-induced band splitting when $B\ensuremath{\parallel}[110]$ and the irregular Fermi pockets when $B\ensuremath{\parallel}[001]$, respectively.

${\mathrm{TaAs}}_{2}$ and ${\mathrm{NbAs}}_{2}$ are members of the ${MPn}_{2}$ family with weak topological invariants of ${Z}_{2}$ = [0;111]. Here, we report the tip-induced superconductivity achieved on both materials using the point-contact technique. Although the weak ${Z}_{2}$ number leads to strongly crystal-orientation-dependent surface states, we observed a universal relationship between the zero-temperature upper critical field ${H}_{c2}(0)$ and the critical temperature ${T}_{c}$ for different crystal orientations. Combined with first-principles calculations, the findings here could identify a bulk band, instead of the much speculated surface bands, playing the dominant role in the induced superconductivity. These results predict a great possibility to realize superconductivity in other members of the ${MPn}_{2}$ family possessing similar band structures and provide clues to understand the mechanism of tip-induced superconductivity.

The vanadium doping effects on the superconductivity and magnetism of iron pnictides are investigated in $\mathrm{Ba}{({\mathrm{Fe}}_{0.92\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Co}}_{0.08}{\mathrm{V}}_{x})}_{2}{\mathrm{As}}_{2}$ by transport, susceptibility, and neutron scattering measurements. The doping of magnetic impurity V causes a fast suppression of superconductivity with ${T}_{C}$ reduced at a rate of approximately 7.4 K/1% V. On the other hand, for $x\ensuremath{\ge}0.02$, long-range $C$-type antiferromagnetic order is recovered upon V doping, in contrast to the $x=0$ sample with no detectable magnetic order. The value of ordered magnetic moments of $\mathrm{Ba}{({\mathrm{Fe}}_{0.92\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Co}}_{0.08}{\mathrm{V}}_{x})}_{2}{\mathrm{As}}_{2}$ follows a domelike evolution versus doping concentration $x$. A possible Griffiths-type antiferromagnetic region of multiple coexisting phases in the phase diagram of $\mathrm{Ba}{({\mathrm{Fe}}_{0.92\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Co}}_{0.08}{\mathrm{V}}_{x})}_{2}{\mathrm{As}}_{2}$ is identified, in accordance with previous theoretical predictions based on the cooperative behavior of magnetic impurities and conduction electrons mediating the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida interactions between them.

Laser-induced ripples that are also known as laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) have gained a considerable attention by researchers and industry due to their surface functionalization applications. However, texturing large areas or batch manufacture of parts that incorporate LIPSS surfaces require the development of tools for monitoring the LIPSS generation and potentially for controlling their main geometrical characteristics, i.e., spatial periodicity, orientation, and amplitude. In this context, the focus of the research reported in this paper is on developing process monitoring and inspection methods for identifying shifts and changes in these characteristics. One of the well-known and widely used by industry method for characterizing and inspecting surfaces is light scattering, and this research investigates the capabilities of this method for inline monitoring of LIPSS optical response. A simple setup was designed and implemented for measuring the diffraction angle and intensity of the reflected light from LIPSS surfaces. The capabilities of this concept for determining relative shifts in the optical response on surfaces processed with known disturbances, such as incident angle deviations and focus offset, were investigated. Sensitivity of the method proved to be sufficient to detect shifts/deviations from LIPSS reference and thus potentially to monitor their generation in line with a simple sensor, e.g., the LIPSS treatment of larger tool surfaces or serial manufacture of holograms.

Plasmonic structures are renowned for their capability to efficiently convert light into heat at the nanoscale. However, despite the possibility to generate deep sub-wavelength electromagnetic hot spots, the formation of extremely localized thermal hot spots is an open challenge of research, simply because of the diffusive spread of heat along the whole metallic nanostructure. Here we tackle this challenge by exploiting single gold nanocones. We theoretically show how these structures can indeed realize extremely high temperature gradients within the metal, leading to deep sub-wavelength thermal hot spots, owing to their capability of concentrating light at the apex under resonant conditions even under continuous wave illumination. A three-dimensional Finite Element Method model is employed to study the electromagnetic field in the structure and subsequent thermoplasmonic behaviour, in terms of the three-dimensional temperature distribution. We show how the latter is affected by nanocone size, shape, and composition of the surrounding environment. Finally, we anticipate the use of photoinduced temperature gradients in nanocones for applications in optofluidics and thermoelectrics or for thermally induced nanofabrication.

In materials chiral fermions such as Weyl fermions are characterized by nonzero chiral charges, which are singular points of Berry curvature in momentum space. Recently, new types of chiral fermions beyond Weyl fermions have been discovered in structurally chiral crystals CoSi, RhSi and PtAl. Here, we have synthesized RhSn single crystals, which have opposite structural chirality to the CoSi crystals we previously studied. Using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we show that the bulk electronic structures of RhSn are consistent with the band calculations and observe evident surface Fermi arcs and helical surface bands, confirming the existence of chiral fermions in RhSn. It is noteworthy that the helical surface bands of the RhSn and CoSi crystals have opposite handedness, meaning that the chiral fermions are reversed in the crystals of opposite structural chirality. Our discovery establishes a direct connection between chiral fermions in momentum space and chiral lattices in real space., Exotic chiral fermions beyond Weyl fermions have recently been discovered in a series of chiral crystals such as CoSi. Here, the authors report the evidences of chiral fermions in RhSn with opposite handedness compared to those observed in CoSi, where the structural chirality is also opposite.

Highly porous carbonaceous nonprecious metal catalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction are prepared by carbonization of low-cost metalloporphyrin-based hyper-crosslinked polymers (MPH-X). With high surface area (2768 m2 g-1 ), hierarchical porous structure, and high metal loading (9.97 wt %), the obtained hyperporous carbon MPH-Fe/C catalyst exhibits high oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity with a half-wave potential (0.816 V) that is comparable to the 0.819 V of commercial Pt/C. Stability tests reveal that MPH-Fe/C also exhibits outstanding long-term durability and methanol tolerance. Our findings may offer an alternative approach to produce nonprecious metal ORR catalysts on a large scale owing to the low-cost MPH-X precursors with diverse metal types.

An Al-coated Mg-8 mass% Li alloy rectangular bar was fabricated by hot extrusion, and then, it was hot-rolled into a thin sheet. The Al coating was uniform in thickness and had good bonding with the substrate during all the processing. This Al-coated Mg–Li alloy exhibited a good corrosion resistance in a 0.5 mass% HCl aqueous solution. No intermetallic compound was observed at the Al/Mg–Li interface after the extrusion and the rolling. The Al-coated Mg–Li alloy sheet exhibited an elongation to fracture of 35% at room temperature at a strain rate of 0.001 s−1 without any debonding between the coating and the substrate. When tensile tested at 573 K at 0.001 s−1 in the air, the Al coating remained undamaged even until an elongation of about 150%. Further elongation generated cracks on the coating and the specimen fractured at an elongation of about 200%. In an Ar atmosphere, the specimen exhibited a fracture elongation of over 400% under the same conditions at 573 K at 0.001 s−1, although a large number of cracks generated on the Al coating.

TiO2/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposites were prepared via a facile one-step hydrothermal method using TiCl3 as the TiO2 precursor. Cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) was introduced as a stabilizer for GO in solution. The effects of GO content, Ti3+ concentration and urea additive on phase constituent and morphology of the TiO2 crystallites in the nanocomposites were systematically investigated. UV–vis absorption ability of the as-made composites was further tested and discussed. Ag nanocrystals (NCs) were photocatalytically grown on the surfaces of biphasic (anatase + brookite) and triphasic (anatase + brookite + rutile) TiO2/rGO nanocomposites to evaluate their surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) performances. Morphology evolution of the Ag NCs in response to different photocatalytic ability of the TiO2/rGO nanocomposite was also investigated in detail. The nanocomposite with triphasic TiO2 of proper phase constituents was confirmed to favor the growth of Ag particles of two distinctly different sizes and to produce SERS substrates of substantially better performance.

The Erdaohe deposit is a newly discovered large-sized skarn Pb-Zn-Ag deposit located in the middle segment of the Great Hinggan Range, NE China. Geochronologic and geochemical data for the ore-related diorites in the deposit are presented here to explore the age, petrogenesis and geodynamic setting of these rocks. Zircon U– Pb LA-ICP-MS dating results show that the ore-related diorites were emplaced at 145–142 Ma. Geochemically, the ore-related diorites are generally characterized by high Y (22.5–32.7 ppm) and Yb (2.23–3.28 ppm) contents, low Sr/Y (14–40) ratios, light rare earth element (LREEs) and large ion lithophile element (LILE) (e.g., Rb and K) enrichments, and high field strength element (HFSE) (e.g., Nb, Ta, and Ti) depletions. These geochemical features are similar to those of arc magmas. Furthermore, the diorites have low (87Sr/86Sr)i compositions, fairly variable eNd(t) values and positive eHf(t) values, corresponding to 0.70604 to 0.70720, −7.8 to +2.6 and +4.5 to +8.0, respectively. These diorites have relatively young Sm– Nd and Hf model ages of 1564 to 721 Ma and 955 to 619 Ma, respectively. The whole-rock Pb isotopes show a narrow range. These isotopic data suggest that the parental magma was sourced mainly from juvenile crustal components, followed by assimilation and fractional crystallization in the crust with limited concomitant input of ancient crustal materials during magma ascent. In the Late Jurassic, the Great Hinggan Range was under compression due to the closure of the Mongol–Okhotsk Ocean, while in the Early Cretaceous, it was under extension related to the influence of the Paleo-Pacific plate. Based on the geochemical evidence and regional geodynamic evolution, we conclude that the formation of the Erdaohe deposit was associated with Paleo-Pacific plate subduction.

Hierarchical β -NaGdF 4 nanobundles are synthesized through a facile hydrothermal method with the use of sodium acetate (NaAc). A NaGdF 4 -GdF 3 -NaGdF 4 products transformation with the increase of fluoride source (NaF) is observed. Results show that NaAc is the key factor in the synthesis of β -NaGdF 4 at a low NaF/Gd 3+ ratio and NaAc also plays a significant role in the formation of the hierarchical morphology. Meanwhile, the size of nanobundles increases with the increased ratio of NaF/NaAc. With altering the ratio of reactants, dumbbell-like, urchin-like or rod-like β -NaGdF 4 nanobundles are obtained. The photoluminescent properties of β -NaGdF 4 : 2%Eu 3+ are also measured.

An investigation on ablation characteristics of 1024 and H10F cobalt cemented tungsten carbide (WC-Co) with a DPSS nanosecond UV laser (50 ns pulse width, 355 nm wavelength, 90 W average power and 10 kHz repetition rate) is presented. The ablation characteristic parameters such as ablation threshold, incubation effect and optical penetration depth were evaluated based on the spot ablation diameter and depth. It was observed that the ablation threshold is significantly influenced by the number of pulses (NOP) and it decreases with increase NOP which is attributed to the incubation effect. Only one ablation region is observed at low laser fluence and an additional molten ablation region is observed at high laser fluence accompanied with cracks. The cracks formation is due to the thermal induced stress and changes in WC microstructure during laser beam irradiation. The crack depth is proportional to the thickness of the molten WC region. The ablation threshold of 1024 WC-Co and H10F WC-Co were found to be Fth1 =4.32 J/cm2 and Fth1 =4.26 J/cm2 respectively. The difference in chemical composition has insignificant effect on the ablation threshold value of the material. The incubation factor and optical penetration depth values of 1024 WC-Co and H10F WC-Co were found to be ξ=0.73, α−1 =411 nm and ξ=0.75, α−1 =397 nm respectively.

Different sizes of hexagonal spherical NaGdF4:Eu3+ particles are synthesized via a facile hydrothermal method with the use of ethylene glycol (EG), propylene glycol (PG) or butylene glycol (BG) as another solvent. The particle size decreases with the addition of EG, PG or BG and the decreasing trend in BG/H2O system is significantly more than that in the other two systems. Meanwhile, results show that luminescent properties of NaGdF4:Eu3+ are enhanced along with the decrease of particle size. Besides, the energy transfer from Dy3+ to Eu3+ is directly observed in the PL spectra of NaGdF4:Eu3+/Dy3+.

pH responsive polymeric nanoparticles have emerged as a promising technology platform for targeted and controlled drug delivery in recent years. In this paper, endosomal pH-activatable doxorubicin (DOX) and core-crosslinked polymeric nanoparticles (DCNPs) were prepared and investigated for potent growth inhibition of human cancer cells in vitro. In vitro drug release studies, DOX conjugated nanoparticles with hydrazone bond showed a pH sensitive release phenomenon, that is, the releasing is significantly faster at mildly acidic condition with pH of 5.5 than that at physiological condition. Confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM) observations revealed that DOX conjugated nanoparticles delivered and released DOX into the cytosols as well as cell nuclei of Hela cells following 6 h incubation. MTT assays demonstrated that these pH-sensitive DOX nanoparticles exhibited high antitumor effect to HeLa cells. The conjugated DOX polymeric nanoparticles may be a promising candidate as a nanoscale and pH-sensitive drug delivery vehicle for cancer therapy.

The greater structural versatility of two-dimensional polymeric nanosheets could be available through the development of a bottom-up polymerization strategy compared with top-down nanosheets (such as graphene and metal chalcogenides). However, rational synthesis by solution polymerization has been a long-standing challenge. Considering that Glaser coupling is catalyzed by cuprous (I) salts with the participation of oxygen, an air/liquid interfacial coupling reaction has been designed and used to prepare a two-dimensional porous triptycene-based polymeric nanosheet (2D-PTNS). This 2D-PTNS shows a high BET surface area, good gas adsorption ability and excellent selective adsorption of C2H6/CH4 at ambient temperature and pressure.

Dirac materials exhibit intriguing low-energy carrier dynamics that offer a fertile ground for novel physics discovery. Of particular interest is the interplay of Dirac carriers with other quantum phenomena such as magnetism. Here we report on a two-magnon Raman scattering study of AMnBi2 (A=Ca, Sr), a prototypical magnetic Dirac system comprising alternating Dirac carrier and magnetic layers. We present the first accurate determination of the exchange energies in these compounds and, by comparison with the reference compound BaMn2Bi2, we show that the Dirac carrier layers in AMnBi2 significantly enhance the exchange coupling between the magnetic layers, which in turn drives a charge-gap opening along the Dirac locus. Our findings break new grounds in unveiling the fundamental physics of magnetic Dirac materials, which offer a novel platform for probing a distinct type of spin–Fermion interaction. The results also hold great promise for applications in magnetic Dirac devices., The interplay between the low-energy carriers in Dirac materials and magnetism is likely to reveal many novel physical phenomena. Here, the authors use two-magnon Raman scattering to determine the exchange energies of two prototypical magnetic Dirac systems, CaMnBi2 and SrMnBi2.

Magnetic nanoparticle clusters with magnetization of about 80 emu/g and tunable size between 55 and 500 nm were synthesized through a bisolvent solvothermal process in the presence of ethylene glycol (EG) and diethylene glycol (DEG), triethylene glycol (TEG) or 1,2-propanediol (PG) with polyethylene glycol (PEG) or hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) as surfactant. It was found that the volume ratio of EG to the other polyol played an important role in controlling the size and morphology of Fe 3 O 4 . Effect of the concentration of Ferric chloride hexahydrate (FeCl 3 ·6H 2 O) and original reactants on controlling the size of Fe 3 O 4 particles was also discussed.

We report the effects of cobalt doping on the magnetic properties of two-dimensional van der Waals ferromagnet Fe3GeTe2. Single crystals of (Fe{1-x}Cox)3GeTe2 with x=0-0.78 were successfully synthesized and characterized with x-ray diffraction, energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy and magnetization measurements. Both the Curie-Weiss temperature and ferromagnetic (FM) ordered moment of Fe3GeTe2 are gradually suppressed upon Co doping. A kink in zero-field-cooling low field M(T) curve which is previously explained as an antiferromagnetic transition is observed for samples with x=0-0.58. Our detailed magnetization measurements and theoretical calculations strongly suggest that this kink is originated from the pinning of magnetic domain walls. The domain pinning effects are suddenly enhanced when the doping concentration of cobalt is around 50%, both the coercive field Hc and the magnetic remanence to saturated magnetization ratio MR/MS are largely improved and a hard magnetic phase emerges in bulk single crystal samples. Van der Waals (vdW) layered materials have rather weaker interlayer bonding than the intra-layer bonding, therefore the exfoliation along the stacking direction enables the achievement of monolayer or few layers vdW materials with emerging novel physical properties and functionalities. The ferroelectricity in vdW materials recently attracts renewed interest for the potential use in high-density storage devices. As the thickness going thinner, the competition between the surface energy, depolarization field and interfacial chemical bonds may give rise to the modification of ferroelectricity and crystalline structure, which has limited investigations. In this work, combining the piezoresponse force microscope scanning, contact resonance imaging, we report the existence of the intrinsic in-plane polarization in vdW ferroelectrics CuInP2S6 (CIPS) single crystals, whereas below a critical thickness between 90-100 nm, the in-plane polarization disappears. The Young's modulus also shows an abrupt stiffness at the critical thickness. Based on the density functional theory calculations, we ascribe these behaviors to a structural phase transition from monoclinic to trigonal structure, which is further verified by transmission electron microscope technique. Taken together, these findings demonstrate the foundational importance of structural phase transition for enhancing the rich functionality and broad utility of vdW ferroelectrics.

We present experimental evidence of an intriguing phase transition between distinct topological states in the type-II Weyl semimetal MoTe2. We observe anomalies in the Raman phonon frequencies and linewidths as well as electronic quasielastic peaks around 70 K, which, together with structural, thermodynamic measurements, and electron-phonon coupling calculations, demonstrate a temperature-induced transition between two topological phases previously identified by contrasting spectroscopic measurements. An analysis of experimental data suggests electron-phonon coupling as the main driving mechanism for the change of key topological characters in the electronic structure of MoTe2.We also find the phase transition to be sensitive to sample conditions distinguished by synthesis methods. These discoveries of temperature and material condition-dependent topological phase evolutions and transitions in MoTe2 advance the fundamental understanding of the underlying physics and enable an effective approach to tuning Weyl semimetal states for technological applications., Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures

We report the magneto-transport properties of CaAl$_4$ single crystals with $C2/m$ structure at low temperature. CaAl$_4$ exhibits large unsaturated magnetoresistance $\sim$3000$\%$ at 2.5 K and 14 T. The nonlinear Hall resistivity is observed, which indicates the multi-band feature. The first-principles calculations show the electron-hole compensation and the complex Fermi surface in CaAl$_4$, to which the two-band model with over-simplified carrier mobility can't completely apply. Evident quantum oscillations have been observed with B//c and B//ab configurations, from which the nontrivial Berry phase is extracted by the multi-band Lifshitz-Kosevich formula fitting. An electron-type quasi-2D Fermi surface is found by the angle-dependent Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations, de Haas-van Alphen oscillations and the first-principles calculations. The calculations also elucidate that CaAl$_4$ owns a Dirac nodal line type band structure around the $\Gamma$ point in the $Z$-$\Gamma$-$L$ plane, which is protected by the mirror symmetry as well as the space inversion and time reversal symmetries. Once the spin-orbit coupling is included, the crossed nodal line opens a negligible gap (less than 3 meV). The open-orbit topology is also found in the electron-type Fermi surfaces, which is believed to help enhance the magnetoresistance observed., Comment: 6 pages, two column

HZSM-5, Co-incorporated HZSM-5 (3Co/Z5) and Co-incorporated hierarchical HZSM-5 (3Co/DZ5) were employed in catalytic reforming of volatiles from lignite pyrolysis in a drop bed reactor aiming at high yields of light aromatics. The co-effect of hierarchical pores and metallic sites on 3Co/DZ5 promoted the formation of benzene, toluene, xylene and naphthalene, and improved the service lifespan by decreasing coke formation. The influence of hierarchical pores and metallic sites on the deposition and nature of coke and on its location in the channels or/and the outer surface of zeolites was investigated. For 3Co/DZ5, the hierarchical pores retarded its deactivation by preventing internal coke formation while facilitating the external coke formation, owing to the reduced diffusion resistance of coke precursors (aromatic species) out of channels. The introduction of metallic sites brought the suppression of O-containing species depositing on zeolite. After continuous operation, the skeleton structures of both spent and regenerated catalysts were seriously damaged by coke deposition and sintering. The main causes of catalyst deactivation were assigned to two deactivating carbonaceous species with aromaticity and aliphaticity located on the inner pores and outer surface. The soluble long-chain aliphatics from coke extracts located on the outer surface were attributed to the decomposition of inherent aliphatic chain structure in lignite. The residual coke trended to graphite-like structure. The coking behavior was revealed by means of some technologies that the internal coke mainly had impact on the catalyst performance, especially for the insoluble aromatics with high polycondensation, whereas the external coke consumes the surface active sites, resulting in uninterrupted accumulation of coke precursors, eventually blocking the accessibility to channels.

In this paper, we develop an accelerated conservative sharp-interface method for multiphase flows simulations. Traditional multiphase simulation methods use the minimum time step of all fluids obtained according to the CFL conditions to evolve the fluid states, which limits the computational efficiency, as the sound speed of one fluid may be much larger than of others. To address this issue, based on the original conservative sharp-interface methods, the present method is proposed by solving the governing equations of each individual fluid with the corresponding time step. Without violating the numerical stability requirement, the states of one fluid containing larger time-scale features will be evolved with a larger time step. The interaction step between two fluids is solved for synchronization, which is handled by interpolating the intermediate states of the fluid with larger time steps. In addition, an interfacial flux correction is applied to maintain the conservative property. The present algorithm has be coupled with a wavelet-based adaptive multi-resolution (MR) algorithm to achieve additional computational efficiency. A number of numerical tests indicate that the accuracy of the results obtained by the present method is comparable to of the original costly method, with a significant speedup. The speedup increases with the dimensions and resolution, which indicates its applications in 3D high resolution simulations of multiphase flows.

Rice husk ash is a kind of volcanic ash material with high silicon. This also provides a feasibility for rice husk ash as cement-based auxiliary cementing material. China is rich in rice husk resources, and the rice husk ash is stacked. Using rice husk ash (RHA) instead of traditional cementitious materials can effectively solve the environmental pollution caused by the accumulation of rice husk ash. Domestic and international scholar have added rice husk ash as mineral admixture to concrete, but the utilization rate is very low. In order to increase the added value of rice husk ash, the high silicon property of rice husk ash was used to solidify soil. The application range of solidified soil is wide, the requirements for materials are not high, and the functions are different, which can realize the extensive use of rice husk ash. This paper summarizes the literature on comprehensive utilization of rice husk ash at home and abroad, systematically expounds the physicochemical properties and production process of rice husk ash, introduces the application of rice husk ash in solidified soil, and points out the unsolved problems in this field, which provides a direction for the further development.

Adhesion of viscous liquids on packaging surfaces could lead to wastage, an increase of recycling costs, and even customers' dissatisfaction in applications related to food, cosmetics and agrochemical industries. Lubricant-impregnated surfaces (LIS) gained much attention recently over other surface functionalisation technologies due to their non-sticking response to highly viscous liquids. This work reports an investigation into anti-adhesive properties of LIS, with an emphasis on their durability. It provides an insight into the rationale design of LIS topographies in order to maximise their lubricant retention in potential food packaging applications. Femtosecond laser processing and hot embossing were employed to produce two types of topographies for LIS on stainless steel, polypropylene and polystyrene surfaces. The first type was single-scale sub-micron laser induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS), while the second one was multi-scale (MS) structures with both micron and sub-micron features. Droplet shedding characteristics of such LIPSS-LIS and MS-LIS substrates with water, milk and honey were examined under vibration and shear. The critical sliding angles at which liquid droplets attained motion on LIS were observed to be less than 32° for all investigated liquids. However, the LIPSS-LIS substrates retained their functionality even after subjecting them to severe vibration, while the MS-LIS substrates partially lost their anti-adhesive characteristics. At the same time, the MS-LIS substrates exhibited premature pinning of droplets as compared to LIPSS-LIS substrates, under shear forces. Both vibration- and shear-induced loss of lubricant impacted the MS-LIS functionality.

Conventionally, effective mechanical vibration energy harvesting is based on (Pb,Zr)TiO3 (PZT) ceramics, poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) polymers or PVDF/PZT or other piezoelectric composite materials, and their working temperature is normally limited to room temperature (R-T) or below 150 °C. Here, bismuth scandium lead titanate (BiScO3-PbTiO3, abbreviated as BSPT) ceramic is reported which has a high Curie temperature point around 450 °C and its application for high-temperature (H-T) vibration energy harvesting. Experimental results show that it exhibits an excellent H-T piezoelectricity, converting mechanical vibration energy into electric power effectively in a wide temperature range from R-T till 250 °C. This research shows the BSPT piezoelectric energy harvester having the potential application for self-power source of wireless sensor network system in high temperature circumstance.

The optical, thermal and electrical properties of ultra-thin two-dimensional (2D) crystal materials are highly related to their thickness. Therefore, identifying the atomic planes of few-layer crystal materials rapidly is crucial to fundamental study. Here, a simple technique was demonstrated based on optical contrast for counting atomic planes (n) of few-layer MoSe2 on SiO2/Si substrates. It is found that the optical contrast of single-layer MoSe2 depends on light wavelength and thickness of SiO2 on Si substrate. The data calculated based on a Fresnel law-based model as well as atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurements fit well with the values measured by spectroscopic ellipsometer. Furthermore, the calculated and measured contrasts were integral and plotted, which can be used to determine the MoSe2 atomic planes (1 ≤ n ≤ 4) accurately and rapidly. The optical contrast of thin-layer (1 ≤ n ≤ 4) MoSe2 sample was calculated by Fresnel’s law, and the contrast was measured by OM image. By combining these two group data, a function of layer numbers and contrast was developed: C (contrast) = 0.07N + 0.177. This proves that contrast is linear to layer numbers of MoSe2 when layer number is less than 4.

Galvanic growth of Ag nano/micro-structures on Cu micro-grid was systematically studied for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) applications. Detailed characterizations via FE-SEM and HR-TEM showed that processing parameters, (reaction time, Ag+ concentration, and PVP addition) all substantially affect thermodynamics/kinetics of the replacement reaction to yield substrates of significantly different microstructures/homogeneities and thus varied SERS performances (sensitivity, enhancement factor, and reproducibility) of the Ag substrates in the detection of R6G analyte. PVP as an additive was shown to notably alter nucleation/growth behaviors of the Ag crystals and promote the deposition of dense and uniform Ag films of nearly monodisperse polyhedrons/nanoplates through suppressing dendrites crystallization. Under optimized synthesis (50 mM of Ag+, 30 s of reaction, and 700 wt.% of PVP), Ag substrates exhibiting a high Raman signal enhancement factor of ~ 1.1 × 106 and a low relative standard deviation of ~ 0.13 in the repeated detection of 10 μM R6G were obtained. The facile deposition and excellent performance reported in this work may allow the Ag microstructures to find wider SERS applications. Moreover, growth mechanisms of the different Ag nano/micro-structures were discussed based on extensive FE-SEM and HR-TEM analysis.

Two kinds of novel organic microporous polymers TCPs (TCP-A and TCP-B) were prepared by two cost-effective synthetic strategies from the monomer of tricarbazolyltriptycene (TCT). Their structure and properties were characterized by FT-IR, solid (13) C NMR, powder XRD, SEM, TEM, and gas absorption measurements. TCP-B displayed a high surface area (1469 m(2) g(-1) ) and excellent H2 storage (1.70 wt % at 1 bar/77 K) and CO2 uptake abilities (16.1 wt % at 1 bar/273 K), which makes it a promising material for potential application in gas storage.

(0.98 − x)Bi(Sc3/4In1/4)O3–xPbTiO3–0.02Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (BSI–xPT–PMN, x = 0.56–0.60) ternary solid solutions near the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) have been designed and prepared using the two-step columbite precursor method. Microstructural morphology, phase transition, and electrical properties of the BSI–xPT–PMN ceramics were investigated in detail. X-ray powder diffraction analysis indicated that the BSI–xPT–PMN ceramics were of pure perovskite phase, and the MPB between the rhombohedral and tetragonal phases located at x = 0.58, which are also confirmed by their compositional dependence piezoelectric and electromechanical properties. The piezoelectric properties were enhanced significantly by the introduction of a small amount of PMN, and the piezoelectric constant d 33 is doubled that of the binary Bi(Sc3/4In1/4)O3–PbTiO3 system. The optimal piezoelectric properties were obtained for the MPB composition 0.40BSI–0.58PT–0.02PMN, which exhibits a piezoelectric constant d 33 of 403 pC/N, planar electromechanical coupling factor k p of 47.2 %, remnant polarization P r of 36.4 µC/cm2, and Curie temperature T c of 421 °C. Additionally, the BSI–xPT–PMN systems reduce the content of Sc2O3 in comparison with the BS–PT systems. The enhanced piezoelectric performance, together with the good thermal stabilities, makes the BSI–xPT–PMN ceramics promising candidates for high temperature piezoelectric applications.

Inducing and controlling temperature gradients in illuminated subwavelength plasmonic structures is a challenging task. Here, we present a strategy to remotely induce and tune temperature gradients in a subwavelength metallic nanocone by adjusting the angle of incidence of linearly polarized continuous-wave illumination. We demonstrate, through rigorous three-dimensional numerical simulations, that properly tilting the incident illumination angle can increase or decrease the photoinduced temperature gradients within the nanostructure. We analyze the apex-base photoinduced temperature gradient for different illumination directions, resembling typical illumination schemes utilized in surface or tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy.

It remains a great challenge to overcome the problems of poor conductivity and rapid charge recombination in bismuth oxybromide (BiOBr). Herein, for the first time we report the synergistic effect of oxygen vacancies (Ov) and p-n heterojunction to improve photoelectrochemical performance of BiOBr. Benefitting from the new electron donor level caused by oxygen vacancies, the visible-light absorption region, carrier concentration and exposure of {001} facets of BiOBr are all increased. In the meantime, the 2D p-n heterojunction between BiOBr and BiOI leads to a built-in electric field and thus significantly accelerating the charge separation and transfer. Upon visible light irradiation, the resulted BiOBr-Ov/BiOI photoanode presents robust photoelectrochemical performance, achieving a photocurrent density of 1.33 mA/cm2 at 1.23 V vs. RHE. This work not only provides new insight for designing efficient photoelectrodes but also highlights the importance of oxygen defect-engineering strategy in photoelectrochemical water splitting.

We report the doping effects of cobalt on van der Waals (vdW) magnet Fe$_5$GeTe$_2$. A series of (Fe$_{1-x}$Co$_x$)$_5$GeTe$_2$ (0$\leq$x$\leq$0.44) single crystals have been successfully grown, their structural, magnetic and transport properties are investigated. For x=0.20, The Curie temperature $T_C$ increases from 276~K to 337~K. Moreover, the magnetic easy-axis is reoriented to the $ab$-plane from the $c$-axis in undoped Fe$_5$GeTe$_2$ with largely enhanced magnetic anisotropy. These magnetic properties would make (Fe$_{0.8}$Co$_{0.2}$)$_5$GeTe$_2$ more effective in stabilizing magnetic order in the two-dimensional limit. A complex magnetic phase diagram is identified on the higher doping side. The x=0.44 crystal first orders ferromagnetically at $T_C$=363~K then undergoes an antiferromagnetic transition at $T_N$=335~K. Furthermore magnetic-field-induced spin-flop transitions are observed for the AFM ground state. Our work reveals (Fe$_{1-x}$Co$_x$)$_5$GeTe$_2$ as promising candidates for developing new spin-related applications and proposes a method to engineer the magnetic properties of vdW magnet., Comment: 5 pages, 5 figures

The Dongbulage porphyry Mo deposit is a recently discovered deposit located in the Huanggang–Ganzhuermiao polymetallic metallogenic belt of Inner Mongolia, NE China. Here, we present zircon U–Pb ages and Hf isotopic compositions, and whole-rock geochemical and Sr–Nd–Pb isotopic data, for magmatic rocks associated with Mo mineralisation to constrain the age and petrogenesis of these rocks. The rocks are dominated by mineralised granite porphyries, quartz-monzonites, and rhyolite. Zircon U–Pb dating shows that the ore-bearing granite porphyries have ages of 154.4 ± 3.5, 155.4 ± 1.1, and 158.7 ± 0.6 Ma, the quartz-monzonites have ages of 157.8 ± 1.6 and 166.5 ± 1.3 Ma, and the rhyolite has an age of 172.9 ± 3.0 Ma. The granite porphyries and rhyolites are characterised by high K2O and SiO2 contents, enrichment in light rare-earth elements, strong negative Eu anomalies, and pronounced depletion in Ba, Nb, Ta, Sr, P, and Ti. The quartz-monzonites show enrichment in large-ion lithophile elements (Rb and K), are depleted in heavy rare-earth elements, Nb, Ta, Sr, P, and Ti, and exhibit weak negative Eu anomalies. All of the rocks have low initial 87Sr/86Sr (0.7022–0.7064) and eNd(t) values (−3.62 to + 3.99), positive eHf(t) values (+1.1 to + 13.8), and young two-stage Nd and Hf model ages (TC DM(Nd) = 623–1240 Ma and TC DM(Hf) = 305–1108 Ma, respectively). Whole-rock Pb isotopic compositions show a narrow range of values, with 206Pb/204Pb = 18.314–19.116, 207Pb/204Pb = 15.573–15.595, and 208Pb/204Pb = 38.731–39.296, which, together with their Sr–Nd–Hf isotopic compositions, indicate the dominance of a mantle source component. The isotopic data suggest that the Dongbulage magmatic rocks were derived from partial melting of juvenile lower crust. The granite porphyries are highly evolved I-type magmas with geochemical characteristics similar to those of porphyry granitoids associated with Mo mineralisation in the Great Hinggan Range. On the basis of the regional geology and geochemistry, we suggest that the Dongbulage porphyry Mo deposit formed in a subduction setting associated with southward subduction of the Mongol–Okhotsk oceanic plate.

BaAgAs and its family materials MRPn (M = Ca, Sr, Ba, R = Ag, Au, Pn = As, Bi) were theoretically predicted to hold various topological phases. In this paper, the growth method of MRPn family materials was investigated and single crystals were successfully obtained by flux method. The crystal composition was confirmed by the energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). Crystal structure and surface planes were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Temperature-dependent resistivity measurements from 2.5 K to 300 K reveal that all the samples are metallic.
