This report details business development by Nakagawa Jyuken Corp, which targets the renovation of Kominka in the Kameoka and Nantan city areas of Kyoto Prefecture. Its aim is focused on the growth and revitalization of the regional economy. The company has created a systematic business model, based on experience and know-how, for real estate companies and home builders nationwide. If this program is successful, it could lead to the utilization of vacant houses, as vacant housing is forecasted to dramatically increase in the future. I would like to introduce Nakagawa Jyuken’s business model from a viewpoint that allows it to be seen as the first step toward resolving the vacant housing problem in Japan.

We experienced an operated case of pseudocyst of the pancreas which arised in the stump after resection of tail of the pancreas. A 74-year-old man, who had undergone resection of tail of the pancreas for a cancer of it 2 years before, visited our hospital with the chief complaints of an abdominal tumor, nausea and vomiting. The patient had mild inflammatory findings such as CRP of 4.0 and WBC of around 10, 000. From abdominal ultrasonography and abdominal CT findings, the patient was diagnosed as having a 6×6 cm pseudocyst of the pancreas. Anastomosis, stomach to cyst by transgastric approach, was carried out. On the 40th day after surgery the cyst disappeared.

In a nationwide study conducted in 11 surgical institutions of C-425, a newly developed human native immunoglobulin liquid preparation for intravenous injection, was combined with conventional antibiotic treatment to investigate the efficacy and safety. A total of 47 patients with severe infections which had not symptomatically responded to 3-day or longer treatment with any antibiotics was included. Doctors in charge judged the efficacy of C-425 to be "excellent" in 3 patients, "good" in 13, "fair" in 15, and "poor" in 4. Thus, a total of 16 patients (45.7%) was judged to have responded to C-425 when the "excellent" and "good" responses were combined. The number responding was 31 (88.6%) when the "fair" cases were also included. Excluding 31 patients who did not meet the Committee's criteria, the Committee judged the efficacy of C-425 in a total of 16 patients; the efficacy was "excellent" in 2 patients, "good" in 4, "fair" in 9, and "poor" in 1. The number of responding patients was 6 (37.5%) of the 16 when the "excellent" and "good" cases were combined, and 15 (93.8%) when the "fair" cases were added. Bacteriological assessment was conducted in a total of 9 patients. Causative bacteria were eradicated in 3 patients, decreased in number in 1, replaced in 2, and persisted in 3. Thus, bacteriological efficacy was observed in 6 of the 9 patients (66.7%). Neither adverse reactions nor drug-related laboratory abnormalities were observed in the 47 patients.

The pseudo-vector processing (PVP) is a framework that enables fast processing similar to vector processing. In this paper, we describe the compiler optimizations that effectively utilize PVP on the SR8000. These include access method analysis, preloading, and prefetching optimizations. Evaluations on the SR8000 indicate that PVP can effectively hides memory latency.

The patient, a 25-year-old man, had received a stab wound to the left anterior chest with a kitchen knife and was transported to our center. As plane chest roentgenography showed left hemothorax and his blood pressure was decreased, thoracotomy was urgently carried out. An approximatoly 3cm stab wound was recognized on the left side of the anterior descending branch of the left coronary artery, and hemostasis was performed by 4-acus interrupted suture using 3-0 Ticron® thread. Although the postoperative blood circulation was stable, ECG and enzymological examination showed suspicion of myocardial infarction and coronary arteriography showed occlusion of the anterior descending branch of the left coronary artery. Furthermore, left ventricular arteriography showed anteroseptal dyskinesis and ventricular aneurysmal changes. The patient is uneventfully under observation of the course. In the present case, the thrombotic occlusion and so on, which were caused by direct ligation of the coronary artery with suture thread or distortion or flexion of the coronary artery with ligature were considered to be the cause of ventricular aneurysm formation. With regard to the indication for surgery, the procedure for ventricular aneurysm after myocardial infarction is though to be applied to this case.
