Resume Objectif Nous rapportons un cas d’hemangiome choroidien circonscrit (HCC) symptomatique traite par phototherapie dynamique (PDT) combinee avec l’injection d’un implant intravitreen de dexamethasone (IID) (Ozurdex ® ). Cas clinique Une femme de 39 ans nous a ete adressee pour une baisse progressive de sa vision de l’œil droit mesuree a 8/10 due a un decollement retinien exsudatif lie a un HCC juxtapapillaire. Les dimensions de l’HCC etaient de 6 mm pour le plus grand diametre et 2 mm pour l’epaisseur. Le traitement a combine l’injection d’un IID suivi 15 jours plus tard par une PDT avec un spot unique couvrant la tumeur (intensite de 600 mW/cm 2 pendant 83 secondes [50 J/cm 2 ]). Des six semaines apres la PDT, nous notions l’amelioration de la vision a 10/10, la resorption complete du decollement de retine exsudatif ainsi que l’affaissement tumoral. Aucun effet secondaire n’etait constate. Ce resultat anatomique et fonctionnel s’est maintenu pendant les neuf mois du suivi. Conclusion Ce cas suggere que l’IID (Ozurdex ® ) potentialise l’effet de la PDT avec un moindre risque d’effets secondaires locaux que l’acetate de triamcinolone. Des evaluations plus poussees de ce protocole de traitement restent necessaires. Toutefois, le traitement combine par IID (Ozurdex ® ) suivi 15 jours plus tard par une PDT pour l’HCC symptomatique peut s’averer une alternative solide a la radiotherapie et pourrait etre plus efficace que la PDT seule.

This paper presents an approach to shape and motion estimation that integrates heterogeneous knowledge into a unique model-based framework. We describe the observed scenes in terms of structured geometric elements (points, line segments, rectangles, 3D corners) sharing explicitly Euclidean relationships (orthogonality, parallelism, colinearity, coplanarity). Camera trajectories are represented with adaptative models which account for the regularity of usual camera motions. Two different strategies of automatic model building lead us to reduced models for shape and motion estimation with a minimal number of parameters. These models increase the robustness to noise and occlusions, improve the reconstruction, and provide a high-level representation of the observed scene. The parameters are optimally computed within a sequential Bayesian estimation procedure that gives accurate and reliable results on synthetic and real video imagery.

A method was developed as a response to the need for a robust optimizer for two different image vision algorithms. Our new approach is a synthesis of two modalities, a simulated annealing technique paired with a parallel search. Using an initial value and the maximum parametric variations, our method searches for a cost function minimum by using parameter subspaces combined with a local simulated annealing algorithm step. The description of our two computer vision applications which relate object tracking to video sequences make it clear why this kind of optimizer was needed. In the cases described, our method provides encouraging results.
