Chaudoir��� s description does not give a locality. However, the type matches specimens from Costa Rica. Lachnophorus humeralis Bates 1883: 153. New synonymy. Lectotype female: Panama, Bugaba (MCZ). Designated herein by Zamorano/Erwin 2017 and so labeled. There is an L. notatus determination label by Jasinski on the lectotype in the MNHN. The specimen was labeled by D. H.
