Abstract: A series of new organotin carboxylates have been synthesized by reactions of trans(cis)-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid with triorganotin chloride and diorganotin dichloride. All the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 119Sn NMR spectroscopy; furthermore, complexes 1, 3, 5, 8 and 9 were characterized by X-ray diffraction analyses. The structural analyses show that complex 1 possesses a monomer structure; complex 5 possesses a 1D zigzag chain structure; both the complexes 3 and 8 have 2D network structures and complex 9 has a tetratin 36-membered macrocyclic structure. Abstract: A series of new organotin(IV) derivatives with 2,3,4,5-tetrafluorobenzoic acid: {[(2,3,4,5-F4C6HCO2)R2Sn]2O}2 (R=Et 1, n-Bu 2, Ph 3), [R2Sn(O2CC6F4H)2] n (R= n-Bu 4, Et 5, Ph 6), and Sn2R4(O2CC6F4H)3(OH) (R=Et 7, n-Bu 8, Ph 9), were synthesized by the reaction of diorganotin oxide and 2,3,4,5-tetrafluorobenzoic acid. All the complexes 1-9 have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, 13C, 119Sn NMR spectra. Among them complexes 2, 4, 8 were also characterized by X-ray crystallography diffraction analyses. The crystal structure of complex 2 exhibited a tetra-nuclear geometry with the Sn2O2 symmetry core. Complex 4 formed a 1D helical double-chain structure through intermolecular O→Sn coordinating and completed a DNA-like assembly. Complex 8 revealed that the both Sn atoms were held together by hydroxide and acetate bridges, forming a chair-like six-membered ring. Moreover, the supramolecular structures of dimer, 1D chain or 2D network have been found in complexes 4 and 8 by intermolecular C–H⋯F weak hydrogen bond and non-bonded F⋯F or F⋯Sn interaction, which were highly effective in the assembly of supramolecular structures and could lead to the formation of complexes with fascinating topologies properties. Abstract: A novel 3D diorganotin framework, {[(nBu2Sn)2(dmsa)]2 ·MeOH} n (1), has been solvothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, NMR (1H, 13C, 119Sn) spectra, TGA and X-ray crystallography. The structure analysis of complex 1 reveals that guest methanol molecules are established in the hydrophobic “pseudo-channels” of this framework. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: A series of new triorganotin(IV) complexes with 4-hydroxy-2-mercapto-6-methylpyrimidine (L1H2), 4-hydroxy-2-mercapto-pyrimidine (L2H2), 2,4(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedithione (L3H2) () of the type R3SnLSnR3 (R=Me 1, 4, 7; R=Ph 2, 5, 8; R=PhCH2 3, 6, 9) have been synthesized by reactions of triorganotin(IV) chloride and corresponding ligands. All complexes are characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra and NMR spectra analyses. Among them, complexes 2, 5 and 8 are also characterized by X-ray crystallography diffraction analyses. Abstract: A series of diorganotin (IV) complexes of the types of R2SnCl(SSCC3H3N2) (R=CH3 1, n Bu 2, C6H5 3 and C6H5CH2 4), R2Sn(SSCC3H3N2)2 (R=CH3 5, n Bu 6, C6H5 7 and C6H5CH2 8) and R2Sn(SSCC3H2N2) (R=CH3 9, n Bu 10, C6H5 11 and C6H5CH2 12) have been obtained by reactions of 4(5)-imidazoledithiocarboxylic acid with diorganotin (IV) dichlorides in the presence of sodium ethoxide. All complexes are characterized by elemental, IR, 1H, 13C and 119Sn NMR spectra analyses. Also, the complexes 1, 7 and 9 are characterized by X-ray crystallography diffraction analyses, which reveal that the complex 1 is monomeric structure with five-coordinate tin (IV) atom, the complex 7 is monomeric structure with six-coordinate tin (IV) atom and the complex 9 is one-dimensional chain with five-coordinate tin (IV) atom. Three novel macrocyclic diorganotin(IV) compounds of the type: {[R10(SnO)3(SnOH)2]HnXOm}2 · L (n=1, m=4, R=PhCH2, X=P, L=0, 1; n=0, m=4, R=PhCH2, X=S, L=4H2O, 2; n=0, m=3, R=n-Bu, X=N, L=0, 3) were synthesized by the reaction of (PhCH2)2SnCl2 with Na2HnXO4 (n=1, X=P; n=0, X=S) or (n-Bu)2SnCl2 with NaNO3. All the compounds 1, 2 and 3 are characterized by elemental, IR and X-ray diffraction analyses. X-ray data reveal that a macrocyclic structure with two centrosymmetric ladders of hydrolysis exists in the crystals of the three compounds. A series of organotin(IV) complexes with 2,5-dimercapto-1, 3, 4-thiodiazole (HHdmt) of the type (RnSnClm)2(dmt) (m=0, n=3, R=Ph 1, PhCH2 2, n-Bu 3; m=1, n=2, R=Ph 4) and [R2Sn(dmt) · L]n (L=0.5C6H6, R=CH3 5; L=0, n=5, R=n-Bu 6) have been synthesized. All complexes 1–6 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectra. And except for 3, complexes 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 were also determined by X-ray crystallography. The tin atoms of complexes 1, 2, 3 and 4 are all five-coordinated. The geometries at tin atoms of 1, 2, 3 and 4 are distorted trigonal bipyramidal. The diorganotin(IV) dichloride reacts with sodium 2-pyridinethiolato-N-oxide in a 1:1 ratio to produce [Me2SnCl(2-SpyO)] (1), [Et2SnCl(2-SpyO)] (2), [Bu2SnCl(2-SpyO)] (3), [Ph2SnCl(2-SpyO)] (4), and [(PhCH2)2SnCl(2- SpyO)] (5). The new complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis and IR and NMR (1H, 119Sn, and 13C) spectroscopy. On the basis of 119Sn NMR data the effective coordination number in solution is five. The structures 1 and 4 have been confirmed by X-ray crystallography. Crystals of 1 are triclinic with space group Pbar over 1 and those of 4 are monoclinic, P21/n. Abstract: A series of organotin(IV) complexes with O,O-diethyl phosphoric acid (L1H) and O,O-diisopropyl phosphoric acid (L2H) of the types: [R3Sn·L] n (L=L1, R=Ph 1, R=PhCH2 2, R=Me 3, R=Bu 4; L=L2, R=Ph 9, R=PhCH2 10, R=Me 11, R=Bu 12), [R2Cl Sn·L] n (L=L1, R=Me 5, R=Ph 6, R=PhCH2 7, R=Bu 8; L=L2, R=Me 13, R=Ph 14, R=PhCH2 15, R=Bu 16), have been synthesized. All complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, TGA, IR and NMR (1H, 13C, 31P and 119Sn) spectroscopy analysis. Among them, complexes 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 11 have been characterized by X-ray crystallography diffraction analysis. In the crystalline state, the complexes adopt infinite 1D infinite chain structures which are generated by the bidentate bridging phosphonate ligands and the five-coordinated tin centers. The diorganotin(IV) complexes, [R2Sn(Rd)(μ-OH)]2 (R = Me (1), PhCH2 (2), n-Bu (3), Ph (4); HRd = rhodanine), have been synthesized and characterized by IR and multinuclear (1H, 13C, 119Sn) NMR spectroscopy. The structures of complexes 2 and 3 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both crystal structures of 2 and 3 show the presence of asymmetrically bridging hydroxy groups leading to an Sn2O2 unit. Each atom in complex 1 is also coordinated by an N atom of ligand and two C atoms of the alkyl groups, so the Sn environment is based on a trigonal bipyramid. While in complex 2, a weak intermolecular Sn–O interaction has also been found between the two adjacent molecules, so the geometry of the Sn atom can be best described as six-coordinate octahedral. The salient feature of the supramolecular structure of complex 3 is that of a 1D polymer, in which the discrete molecules are connected through weak intermolecular Sn ··· O interactions. La 0.7 Ca 0.3 MnO 3 (LCMO) films were grown on (0001) single-crystal sapphire (α-Al 2 O 3 ) substrate by pulsed laser deposition. In this work, the growth of (110) oriented LCMO film on sapphire was achieved by controlling the film's deposition conditions, specifically the substrate temperature. The fixed orientation relationship between the film and the substrate [(110) f ∥(0001) s , ( 1 — 10 ) f ∥( 0 1 — 10 ) s , (001) f ∥( 2 — 110 ) s ], was measured by high-resolution X-ray diffraction (HRXRD) and grazing incident X-ray diffraction (GIXRD) techniques. The LCMO film showed interesting in-plane magnetic anisotropy along the two mutually perpendicular in-plane directions, corresponding to [001] f as strong and [ 1 — 10 ] f as weak magnetization directions. A new family of pyrimidine-based BF2 complexes (PB-1–4) with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) and mechanochromic luminescence properties were developed. These compounds exhibit intense fluorescence in their aggregation/solid-state resulting from their large Stokes shift and AIE. X-ray crystallographic analysis shows that the weak intermolecular interactions by fixing the molecular conformations of PB-1–4 are responsible for the intense fluorescence in solid-state. In addition to their pronounced AIE behaviour, PB-4 also exhibits a reversible chromic response to grinding, and a distinct red-shift of emission is observed. The high solid-state luminescence and grinding-stimuli response properties of these compounds make them potential candidates for smart materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Eight diorganotin(IV)-oxo-carboxylates {[R2Sn(O(O)CR′)]2O}2 · Y (R′ = C4H3N2Y = H2OR = nBu 1, Y = 0 R = Me 2, Y = 0 R = C6H53, Y = 0 R = C6H5CH24; R′ = CH2SC4H3N2-2,6Y = 0 R = nBu 5, Y = CH2Cl2R = Me 6, Y = 0 R = C6H57, Y = 0 R = C6H5CH28) have been prepared in 1 : 1 molar ratios by reactions of diorganotin(IV) oxide with 2-pyrazinecarboxylic acid or (2-pyrimidylthio)acetic acid, respectively. All the complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectra. Except for 2, 4 and 7, the complexes are also characterized by X-ray crystallography diffraction analyses, which reveal that the complexes adopt the familiar dicarboxylato tetraorganodistannoxane structural mode. Among them, the evident difference is that weak intramolecular interactions between Sn and N atoms are recognized in complexes 1 and 3. The structure of the title compound, [Sn4(C7H7)8(C7HF4O2)4O2], features a central Sn2O2 unit with two additional Sn atoms linked by the μ3-oxo atoms. Two pairs of Sn atoms are bridged by two bidentate 2,3,4,5-tetra­fluoro­benzoate ligands. Two of the Sn atoms are also each coordinated by a monodentate 2,3,4,5-tetra­fluoro­benzoate ligand.
