Retailers managing both online and offline channels have to decide whether to adopt the uniform (i.e., charging the same price online and offline) or dual (i.e., charging different prices online and offline) pricing strategy. This decision is made even more challenging as consumers are increasingly multirooming as they may search offline and then purchase online (showrooming) or the other way around (webrooming). In this paper, we develop an analytical model to examine such a decision. The model takes into consideration (1) consumers' uncertainty about digital and nondigital product attributes, (2) consumers' costs of showrooming as well as webrooming, and (3) the prevalence of costly product return. We show that uniform pricing can be optimal for a monopoly retailer even though consumers have different costs for shopping online versus offline and there is no intrinsic disutility against price discrimination by consumers. In addition, when the uniform price is optimal, it can be lower than both the offline and online prices under optimal dual pricing. This is because, compared with dual pricing, uniform pricing eliminates consumers' uncertainty about the offline store's price so that they are more likely to search the nondigital attribute at the offline store and buy the fitted product. Moreover, a relatively higher online price has to be used under dual pricing to encourage consumers to search offline for the purpose of reducing the product return costs. We aimed to apply a potent deep learning network, NAFNet, to predict adverse pathology events and biochemical recurrence-free survival (bRFS) based on pre-treatment MRI imaging. 514 prostate cancer patients from six tertiary hospitals throughout China from 2017 and 2021 were included. A total of 367 patients from Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center with whole-mount histopathology of radical prostatectomy specimens were assigned to the internal set, and cancer lesions were delineated with whole-mount pathology as the reference. The external test set included 147 patients with BCR data from five other institutes. The prediction model (NAFNet-classifier) and integrated nomogram (DL-nomogram) were constructed based on NAFNet. We then compared DL-nomogram with radiology score (PI-RADS), and clinical score (Cancer of the Prostate Risk Assessment score (CAPRA)). After training and validation in the internal set, ROC curves in the external test set showed that NAFNet-classifier alone outperformed ResNet50 in predicting adverse pathology. The DL-nomogram, including the NAFNet-classifier, clinical T stage and biopsy results, showed the highest AUC (0.915, 95% CI: 0.871–0.959) and accuracy (0.850) compared with the PI-RADS and CAPRA scores. Additionally, the DL-nomogram outperformed the CAPRA score with a higher C-index (0.732, P < 0.001) in predicting bRFS. Based on this newly-developed deep learning network, NAFNet, our DL-nomogram could accurately predict adverse pathology and poor prognosis, providing a potential AI tools in medical imaging risk stratification. Purpose: To investigate the long-term safety and efficacy of monovision surgery using implantable collamer lens V4c (ICL V4c) implantation in myopic patients with early presbyopia. Setting: Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai, China. Design: Prospective case series study. Methods: This study included 64 eyes of 32 patients with early presbyopia, who underwent bilateral ICL V4c implantation for myopia correction. Parameters, including mean spherical equivalent (SE), uncorrected distance visual acuity, corrected distance visual acuity, intraocular pressure, endothelial cell density, presbyopic add power, visual acuity (logMAR) of dominant eyes (D-eye), nondominant (nD-eye) eyes, and both eyes (Bi) at 0.4 m, 0.8 m, and 5 m were recorded at the last follow-up. Results: All surgeries were uneventful. At the last follow-up, the safety indices were 1.23 ± 0.18 (D-eyes) and 1.21 ± 0.18 (nD-eyes) (p > 0.05); the efficacy indices were 0.95 ± 0.27 (D-eyes) and 0.92 ± 0.28 (nD-eyes) (p < 0.05), the SE was -0.62 ± 0.47 D (D-eyes); and − 1.21 ± 0.78D (nD-eyes) (p < 0.05), presbyopic add power was 1.31 ± 0.58 D. The visual acuity (logMAR) of D-eyes, nD-eyes, and binocular (Bi) at 5.0 m were: 0.06 ± 0.15 (D-eye), 0.21 ± 0.18 (nD-eye), (p < 0.01), and 0.04 ± 0.13 (Bi); 0.8 m: 0.03 ± 0.18 (D-eye), 0.08 ± 0.16 (nD-eye), (p > 0.05), and − 0.02 ± 0.11 (Bi); 0.4 m: 0.08 ± 0.09 (D-eye), − 0.02 ± 0.08 (nD-eye), (p < 0.001), and − 0.03 ± 0.09 (Bi). Subjects were very satisfied or felt excellent with their visual acuity at near (81.25%) and far distances (87.50%), respectively (versus preoperative, p < 0.001). Conclusion: Monovision surgery using ICL V4c implantation is safe and practicable for correction of myopes with presbyopia, with long-term efficacy at near and far distances and patient satisfaction.
