The article focuses on the social concerns of scientists relative to the attitudes of young people towards science. The author states that judging by the words he hears and the vibrations he is getting, attitudes of young people towards science are hostile in varying degrees. Scientists who are socially concerned understand the problems that brought it about, have tried to bring them to public attention, and find solutions to them. Young people believe that science is used for destructive, rather than constructive, purposes.
