This essay reviews the recent book by Harald Atmanspacher and Dean Rickles, Dual‐Aspect Monism and the Deep Structure of Meaning. The essay aims to contextualize and clarify the book's core argument about the theoretical and empirical fruitfulness of decompositional dual‐aspect monism as an intervention into the mind‐body problem that ascribes a pivotal role to meaning. The variants of dual‐aspect monism discussed were developed primarily by physicists, but the essay also highlights the crucial contributions to the argument by the one non‐physicist involved, Carl Gustav Jung, as well as noting the significance of dual‐aspect monism and of the reviewed book for analytical psychology. This article is a phenomenology of masculinity, leading into questions of authority and ideology. Phenomenology draws on one's experience, which includes here the author's experience of being drawn to thinkers in the phenomenological and (psycho)analytical traditions, such as Levinas, Freud, Husserl, Heidegger, and Lacan. Recognition is regarded as the key to becoming what we are, in a complex 'thrownness' which we cannot escape. It appears that coming to know one's masculinity (and femininity) is part of this becoming; some things do not change, expressing the inert quality (Hegelian bone-like) and repetitiveness of ideology. Recognition is dependent on who has the authority to recognise the other, and this is explored in terms of the therapist's authority. The importance of openness to the other person, and oneself as a therapist, is seen as crucial in allowing a space for a discovery of embodied meanings. But a longstanding dominant ideology of scientism has led to alienation from such embodiment, and one reaction to this may be an appeal to a kind of authoritarian certainty in politics. Ultimately, we only have ourselves in what appears to be an urgent struggle for free speech in therapies, and in the world. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

L'objectif du présent article est de questionner les propos de l'historien Carlo Ginzburg concernant l'influence de la théorie de l'attribution en art de Giovanni Morelli sur la construction de la psychanalyse par Sigmund Freud, ainsi que la pertinence du rapprochement des deux auteurs au sein d'un paradigme épistémologique bien particulier qu'il nomme le paradigme indiciaire. L'article présente tout d'abord la problématique générale, puis la théorie de Ginzburg sur le paradigme indiciaire et celle de Morelli sur l'attribution en art. Cela nous permet ensuite d'aborder directement l'influence que Morelli a pu exercer sur Freud aux premiers temps de l'élaboration de la psychanalyse, notamment autour de la problématique posée par la surdétermination. Nous pouvons trouver l'influence de la méthode de Morelli sur la psychanalyse dans la façon dont Freud va appréhender le problème de la surdétermination du symptôme et dans la manière de considérer la surabondance de détails du matériel clinique qu'offre le patient dans le discours comme un outil précieux de l'analyse plutôt que comme un obstacle. Nous pouvons effectivement retrouver les principes du paradigme indiciaire dans la psychanalyse du fait qu'elle cherche à retrouver une réalité inaccessible au premier abord, celle de l'inconscient, à partir des traces de cet inconscient qui émerge dans le discours du patient. Nous avons ensuite voulu interroger les limites de ce rapprochement, et ainsi déterminer si la psychanalyse telle que Freud l'a conçue relève effectivement d'une adaptation des principes de Morelli à un autre objet, ou s'il n'a fait que s'inspirer des apports théoriques et pratiques de ce dernier, pour ensuite concevoir la psychanalyse comme une méthode dépassant les principes du paradigme indiciaire. Nous avons ainsi pu montrer que la psychanalyse ne se limite pas aux principes du paradigme indiciaire dans son approche de l'inconscient, notamment à partir de l'évolution de la conception freudienne de l'interprétation. The objective of this article is to question the comments of historian Carlo Ginzburg concerning the influence of Giovanni Morelli's theory of attribution in art on the establishment of psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud, as well as the relevance of the bringing together of these two authors within a very specific epistemological paradigm that Ginzburg calls the evidential paradigm. The article first presents the general problem; it then exposes Ginzburg's theory of the evidential paradigm and Morelli's theory of attribution in art. This allows us to directly address the influence that Morelli could have had on Freud in the early stages of the development of psychoanalysis, particularly around the issue of overdetermination. We can find the influence of Morelli's method on psychoanalysis in the way Freud approaches the problem of overdetermination of the symptom, and in the way he considers the overabundance of clinical material offered by patients in their speech as a valuable tool of analysis rather than as an obstacle. We can, indeed, find the principles of the evidential paradigm in psychoanalysis, because the latter seeks to uncover a reality that is inaccessible at first, i.e., the reality of the unconscious, from traces of this unconscious emerging in the patient's speech. We then wanted to question the limits of Ginzburg's convocation of Morelli and Freud, and thus determine whether psychoanalysis as Freud conceived it is indeed an adaptation of Morelli's principles to another object, or whether he only drew inspiration from the latter's theoretical and practical contributions, in order to conceive of psychoanalysis as a method going beyond the principles of the evidential paradigm. We are thus able to show that psychoanalysis is not limited only to the principles of the evidential paradigm in its approach to the unconscious, by looking, for instance, at the evolution of the Freudian conception of interpretation. This article outlines differences between phenomenology and method, with implications for psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic research. Drawing on a study exploring how mental health nurses are therapeutic, we focus on how taking experience seriously is encouraged through being phenomenological. We look at how research method and theory – and fixed beliefs or ideas – tend to constrict language, so that personal (sensual) meaning is lost or curtailed. Being phenomenological instead 'opens up' language and consequently meaning, in an act of truthfulness through speaking one's experience, which we see as both psychotherapeutic and a valid form of research. The unexpected invention of a game with my grandchildren provided a new way of thinking about the nature of such unpredictable moments in therapy. The experience brought together a number of ideas, considered through the view of language taken by Merleau-Ponty where the chaotic primitive layers that pervade language are seen as having primacy over the rules of linguistics such as those set out by Saussure. Saussure is seen as providing a way of understanding linguistic structure whilst at the same time opening a number of ambiguities that then allow a way for thinking about language differently through Merleau-Ponty's emphasis on the usage of language (la parole) as opposed the structural aspects of language (la langue). Initially, Winnicott's ideas around the 'spontaneous gesture' are utilised to help show how this kind of unpredictable expression appears as something alive. Merleau-Ponty then shows how language as gestural phenomena takes hold of us through our bodies. Further questions then arise about the method in therapeutic practice and research. Here, it is argued that when the method is given primacy over experience, we are in a position that seeks the already known, which will not, therefore, permit some new expression to break through. It is usually thought that synchronicity, characterised as 'meaningful coincidence', is therefore understandable in relation to the concept of 'meaning'. I will explore the largely unhelpful symbiotic relationship between 'coincidence' and 'meaning' by comparing synchronicity with synchoricity - coincidence in space rather than time. These two concepts are often mixed together and I will attempt to describe a 'pure' synchronicity in order to sharpen our sense of how meaning is felt to arise from coincidence. It will then be suggested that the standard concept of synchronicity is mostly psychologically irrelevant and, when adjusted to remove elements which are explained quite naturally by evolutionary theory, we are left with a concept which has implications both for the metaphysical foundations of Analytical Psychology and the individualistic emphasis one commonly finds in the field. Ausgehend von der Geschichte der semantischen Theoriebildung in den Jahren um 1900 verfolgt der Beitrag die rezeptionsgeschichtlichen Spuren, welche durch Phänomenologie, Brentanoschule und durch Heinrich Gomperz’ Semasiologie veranlasst sind. Die zentrale These des Beitrags lautet: Mit Ogden & Richards’ The Meaning of Meaning (1923) sind die Weichen gestellt worden, die von der psychologistischen Vorstellungssemantik des 19. Jahrhunderts zur bis heute in der Sprachwissenschaft vorherrschenden Referenzsemantik führen. Alternative „noetische“ semantische Konzeptionen, Theorien des Gemeinten, sind in der linguistischen Semantik marginal und minoritär geblieben. Folgenreicher waren sie für Ethnolinguistik und Ethnomethodologie. Starting from the history of semantic theory around 1900, this paper follows the traces left in semantics by the anti-psychologist networks of phenomenology, by the pupils of Franz Brentano, and by the Semasiology of Heinrich Gomperz. The central suggestion of the text is that Ogden & Richards’ The Meaning of Meaning (1923) paved the way toward transforming 19th century psychological semantics into modern referential semantics, still dominating linguistic thinking today. Alternative semantic theories based on “noetic” models of the thing-meant have remained marginal up to now, but have been more consequential in Ethnolinguistics and Ethnomethodology. En s’appuyant sur l’histoire des théories sémantiques autour de l’année 1900, le présent article suit la réception qu’ont connue la phénoménologie, l’école de Brentano et la Sémasiologie de Heinrich Gomperz. Notre thèse centrale est qu’avec l’ouvrage d’Ogden et Richards (1923), The Meaning of Meaning, ont été posés les jalons qui conduisent de la sémantique psychologiste et représentationnaliste du xixe siècle à la sémantique référentielle encore dominante dans la linguistique actuelle. Les conceptions sémantiques qualifiées ici de « noétiques », c’est-à-dire les théories du contenu intenté, sont demeurées marginales et minoritaires au sein de la sémantique linguistique. Elles ne se sont révélées fertiles que pour l’ethnolinguistique et l’ethnométhodologie.

The concept of Bedeutung is a central concept in Frege’s philosophy, however there is a huge divergence in the literature about its adequate interpretation. Dummett, Sluga, Carl, Burge, Tugendhat, and others Frege’s commentators will present discordant interpretations of Bedeutung, which are commited to general aspects of Frege’s logical/philosophical perspectives. Based on this, the main goal of this paper is to reconstruct the discussions associated to the interpretation and translation of the Fregean concept of Bedeutung, showing that the tradicional characterization of Bedeutung as reference brings a series of exegetical problems. On the one hand, Bedeutung, understood as reference, implies that sentences must be understood as a special kind of proper name, however, such an interpretation seems to be incompatible with the so-called Fregean contexto principle. On the other hand, revisionista interpretations, in turn, contradict Frege’s supposed realism, besides not being compatible with the presentation found in Über Sinn umd Bedeutung. O conceito de Bedeutung é central na filosofia de Frege, entretanto existe uma grande divergência na literatura sobre sua adequada interpretação. Dummet, Sluga, Carl, Burge, Tugendhat e outros comentadores de Frege irão apresentar discordantes interpretações acerca de Bedeutung, as quais se comprometem com aspectos gerais das perspectivas lógico/filosóficas fregeanas. Com base nisso, o objetivo principal do presente artigo é reconstruir a discussão relacionada a interpretação e tradução do conceito fregeano de Bedeutung, visando mostrar que a tradicional caracterização de Bedeutung como referência traz uma série de problemas exegéticos. Por um lado, Bedeutung, entendida enquanto referência, implica que sentenças devam ser compreendidas como tipos especiais de nomes próprios, porém, tal interpretação parece ser incompatível com o chamado princípio de contexto fregeano. Por outro lado, interpretações revisionistas, por sua vez, contravém o suposto realismo de Frege, além de não serem compatíveis com a apresentação encontrada em Über Sinn und Bedeutung.

This article focuses less on the content of Jung's ideas than on ways in which they act as both invitation and challenge to engage with psyche. It explores the mythic framework of Jung's approach and how this can enable individuals to live in psychological and mundane worlds in which there can be no final certainties. It elaborates three particular aspects of Jung's thinking that I have found personally valuable: his generosity of vision, his insistence that individuals engage for and with themselves rather than relying on someone else's ideas, and his ponderings on the relationship between the individual and the collective. Ausgehend von dem Befund, dass nicht ein, sondern eine Vielzahl von Inklusionsverständnissen und damit in Zusammenhang stehender Praxen existieren, setzt sich dieser Beitrag tiefer mit dem Modell der Drei Horizonte auseinander. Dazu wird anhand der theoretischen Denkfigur des Antizipatorischen Gegenwärtigen Moments versucht, unterschiedliche Deutungs- und Gestaltungsmuster von Inklusion als unterschiedliche Weisen der Antizipation von Zukunft zu begreifen. (DIPF/Orig.) Based on the assertion that there exists not one but a plurality of understandings of inclusion and related practices, this article takes a deeper look at the Three Horizons Modell. For this purpose, the paper introduces the theoretical figure of the Anticipatory Present Moment. Dazu werden Profil und Relevanz der Zeitschrift beschrieben, Schwerpunkte der Diskussion systematisch rekapituliert und schliesslich Desiderate für die Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung in Forschung und Lehre aufgeworfen. (DIPF/Orig.) In this article, the outstanding role of the journal «Beiträge zur Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung» for the discourse on the professionalization of teachers is acknowledged. To this end, the profile and the relevance of the journal are described, focal points of the discussion are systematically recapitulated, and, finally, desiderata for teacher education in research and teaching are raised.

Bildung für eine Nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE) hat für die Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung auf wissenschaftlicher und bildungspolitischer Ebene an Bedeutung gewonnen. Im Rahmen der «Beiträge zur Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung» (BzL) ist das Thema indes kaum abgebildet – es erschienen nur wenige Beiträge in den vergangenen 25 Jahren. Es lässt sich daher feststellen, dass BNE im schweizerischen Professionalisierungsdiskurs noch kaum wahrgenommen wird, obwohl das Thema in der Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung angekommen ist und in der professionsspezifischen Auseinandersetzung durchaus ein Potenzial vorliegt, auf Herausforderungen zu reagieren, mit denen die Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung konfrontiert ist: die zunehmende fachliche Fragmentierung sowie das Verhältnis von Unterrichtspraxis und wissenschaftlicher Praxis. (DIPF/Orig.) Education for sustainable development (ESD) has become an important issue within teacher education at the scientific level and at the level of education policy. The topic is only marginally represented in the context of the journal «BzL», however merely a few contributions have been published in the past 25 years. It can therefore be stated that ESD is still hardly perceived in the Swiss discourse on professionalization although the topic has arrived in teacher education and there is certainly potential in the profession-specific debate to react to challenges with which teacher education is confronted: the increased fragmentation of subjects and the relationship between teaching practice and academic practice.

Beiträge zur Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung 40 (2022) 2, S. 230-253, Klassenleitungen sind für das Funktionieren der Schule von wesentlicher Bedeutung. Eine Klassenlehrperson ist die erste Ansprechperson sowohl nach innen für die Schülerinnen und Schüler ihrer Klasse, für die an und mit ihrer Klasse arbeitenden Fachlehrpersonen für das Kollegium und für die Schulleitung als auch nach außen für die Eltern und Erziehungsberechtigten, für Fachstellen sowie für weitere Einrichtungen. Die Klassenleitung weiß über den Lern- und Leistungsstand der Klasse Bescheid, ebenso über individuelle oder klassenspezifische Unterstützungs- oder Interventionserfordernisse. Sie übernimmt die pädagogische Verantwortung für ihre Klasse innerhalb der Schule und bei außerschulischen Aktivitäten. Auf der Grundlage der Beiträge des vorliegenden Themenhefts und angesichts der unbefriedigenden Forschungslage sowie fehlender systematischer Überblicksarbeiten zu Aufgaben und Anforderungen an die Klassenleitung bestimmt dieser Beitrag zunächst das Aufgabenprofil und entsprechende Anforderungen an die Funktion. A class teacher is the first point of contact both internally for the pupils of the class, for subject teachers working with them and with the class, for the teaching staff and the school management, and externally for parents and guardians, for specialist agencies and other institutions. Class leaders know about the learning and the performance level of their class as well as about individual or class-specific support or intervention needs. They take pedagogical responsibility for their class within the school and in extracurricular activities. Based on the contributions of this issue and in view of the unsatisfactory research situation as well as the lack of systematic overviews of tasks and responsibilities of class leaders, this article first defines the task profile and corresponding requirements relating to the function of the class leader. The task profile can indicate which (sub-)areas have become more complex and more demanding. Class leaders as hubs of interaction inside and outside school are dependent on competence-oriented training programmes and further-education courses that prepare them for the demanding task profile and support them in their professional development according to their needs. Taking on the role of a class leader offers opportunities for profiling and creative freedom, which, given the skills and resources available, make for an attractive, responsible field of activity at school. Conditions inside and outside school must be created and optimized for class leaders to fulfil their tasks professionally with sufficient resources, however.

In this article, I propose to analyse the earliest Indian systematic discussion on the problem of meaning and denotation of words. The discussion itself seems to have been conceived within the famous Indian grammatical tradition (vyākaraṇa), and its definitive form was given by the Grammarian Patañjali (second century BC) in his work Mahābhāṣya. This whole discussion is carried over and further developed within classical Indian philosophy, beginning with the Nyāya school, whose positions regarding semantics are also analysed here, based on classical works of this school., U članku predlažem analizirati najraniju indijsku sustavnu raspravu o problemu značenja i denotacije riječi. Rasprava je, čini se, začeta u poznatoj indijskoj gramatičkoj tradiciji (vyākaraṇa), a svoj je konačni oblik dobila kod gramatičara Patañjalija (drugo stoljeće prije Krista) u djelu Mahābhāṣya. Čitava se rasprava prenijela i nadalje razvijala unutar klasične indijske filozofije, počevši sa školom Nyāya čija su stajališta vezana za semantiku ovdje također analizirana na osnovi klasičnih djela te škole., In diesem Artikel beabsichtige ich, die früheste indische systematische Diskussion über das Problem der Bedeutung und Denotation von Wörtern abzuhandeln. Die Diskussion selbst scheint innerhalb der illustren indischen grammatikalischen Tradition (vyākaraṇa) initiiert worden zu sein und nahm ihre endgültige Form im Werk Mahābhāṣya des Grammatikers Patañjali (zweites Jahrhundert v. Chr.) an. Die gesamte Diskussion wird innerhalb der klassischen indischen Philosophie fortgeführt und weiterentwickelt, beginnend mit der Nyāya-Schule, deren Standpunkte in puncto Semantik hier ebenfalls basierend auf klassischen Werken dieser Schule analysiert werden., Dans cet article, je propose d’analyser le plus ancien débat systématique sur les problèmes de signification et dénotation des mots. Ce débat semble être apparu au sein de la célèbre tradition grammaticale (vyākaraṇa), alors que sa forme définitive a été donnée par le grammairien Patañjali (deuxième siècle av. J.-C.) dans son œuvre Mahābhāṣya. Dieser Beitrag diskutiert die Entstehung und die Bedeutung des Berufsleitbilds und der Standesregeln des LCH für die Profession und das berufsethische Handeln von Lehrpersonen. As the basis for shared professional ethics, the Swiss Teacher Federation (LCH) has formalized the ethical guidelines of the profession in the form of a profession-related mission statement («Berufsleitbild») and – for particularly sensitive areas of professional activity – in the form of a code of conduct («Standesregeln») as minimum standards for each teacher. This article discusses the development of the LCH mission statement and the code of conduct as well as their significance for the profession and the professional ethical conduct of teachers.

In der Modullandschaft der Pädagogischen Hochschule Luzern scheint die Disziplin „Allgemeine Didaktik“ nicht explizit auf. Die Inhalte der Allgemeinen Didaktik sind dennoch nicht an den Rand gedrängt worden. Sie wurden entlang berufsrelevanter Themen und Kompetenzen, die sowohl auf allgemeine als auch auf spezifische unterrichtsbezogene Kompetenzen ausgerichtet sind, in Module der Berufsstudien oder der Bildungs- und Sozialwissenschaften integriert. Zwar ist die Allgemeine Didaktik als eigenständige Disziplin an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Luzern nicht mehr die Leitdisziplin in der Einführung in pädagogisches Denken und Handeln. Doch im Verbund mit den Fachdidaktiken, den Bildungswissenschaften und der Lernpsychologie ist sie für den Aufbau der Unterrichtskompetenzen unverzichtbar: Angehende Lehrerinnen und Lehrer brauchen einen Orientierungsrahmen – den bietet die Allgemeine Didaktik in Kooperation mit anderen Disziplinen.

Many studies have explored Colombia's peace process with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - guerrilla group (2012-2016). Conflict negotiation literature indicates that the impact of leadership is particularly relevant to peace processes as leaders have to find a balance between war and peace. Still, little is known about the political leaders in charge. This study deals with the development of a political leader's leadership in peace initiatives. It uses an in-depth case study of Colombia's former President Juan Manuel Santos combining leadership and conflict negotiation literature to trace back the origins of his leadership. Santos, a controversial figure, represented a policy of reconciliation to negotiate with the opponents while also appearing tough in order to maintain his political base. Between hawk and dove, he initiated and signed the peace negotiation and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2016. I adopt a personal biography approach using biographical data to explore the origins of Santos' beliefs and values, his competence and skills and the way others perceived him. Linking this leadership-centred argument with findings from the conflict negotiation suggests that a pragmatic and reconciliation-oriented leadership might be relevant to find solutions to protracted conflicts like the one in Colombia. Most importantly, it contributes to a significant claim: Leaders have at least some level of choice and their biographical factors are relevant for political outcomes.

Within just one year, the world witnessed the collapse of elected governments in Mali, Afghanistan, and Guinea. While the power grabs by military juntas in Mali and Guinea and by the Taliban in Afghanistan caused fear among the respective populations, many citizens were also willing to acquiesce to the overtaking forces, because the deposed civilian governments were perceived as failing and corrupt. These developments highlight important lessons about government legitimacy in fragile states. There is more to government legitimacy than elections. The holding of elections alone often does not suffice to render a government legitimate in the eyes of citizens. Questionable or botched elections can do more harm than good to government legitimacy. In weak and fragile states, governments cannot rely on citizens' acceptance of state institutions to legitimate their authority. They must find alternative ways to continually legitimate their rule in the eyes of citizens. Insights from Burkina Faso suggest that government legitimacy can be improved by addressing problems of state-society relations. Even in communities that have very strained relations with the state, most citizens actually desire greater state presence and would be willing to give state institutions and security forces the benefit of the doubt - if they were perceived to be doing more to protect people's safety and livelihoods. If the conditions are right, local governments can play a crucial role in mitigating the central state's deficient capacity and legitimacy. In some areas, local governments are the most powerful and legitimate political actors in citizens' lives. In dealing with governments that are deficient in legitimacy, international actors should be guided by a careful analysis of state-society relations. Calls for rapid elections are no panacea, and elected governments should not automatically be considered legitimate representatives of society. Instead, international actors should focus on identifying and supporting societal changes that are prerequisites for more legitimate governance.

Wofür steht "Grün" in der Suburbia? Welche Arten von Grünflächen sind für wen, wie und warum relevant? Mit diesen Fragen setzt sich der folgende Beitrag auf der Grundlage einer qualitativen Studie in zwei suburbanen Räumen der Region Hannover auseinander. Aus der Perspektive von Bewohner(inne)n wird herausgestellt, wie Grünräume im Suburbanen wahrgenommen und gebraucht werden, welchen Stellenwert "grüne Infrastruktur" als Gelegenheitsstruktur und Kriterium von Wohnstandortentscheidungen erlangen kann. Gleichgesetzt mit dem Begriff Natur und als Kontrast zur Stadt, zeichnet sich Suburbias Grün durch eine gute Erreichbarkeit und bequeme Nutzbarkeit aus, ermöglicht spontane oder geplante, aktive oder passive Erholung. Grün wird am Siedlungsrand und im Garten sowohl unbewusst beiläufig als auch bewusst im Tun erlebt; offeriert allen Bewohner(inne)n eine Kann-Option zur Selbstverwirklichung.

Das Lernen von Teilhabe an der Gesellschaft als ein erklärtes Ziel einer jeden Pädagogik bleibt in der Diskussion um inklusiven Unterricht seltsam unberücksichtigt. So führt eine rein formal-organisatorische Teilnahme am Unterricht nicht selbstverständlich zu einer größeren Chancengleichheit, Chancengerechtigkeit und in Konsequenz auch Bildungsgerechtigkeit. Um Teilhabe zu lehren und zu lernen bedarf es eines vielperspektivischen, pädagogischen Zugangs zu Teilhabe. Entsprechend wird dieselbe als sozial-ethisches Handeln definiert und als Bildungsziel konkretisiert. Durch diese praxeologisch-pädagogische Betrachtungsweise von Teilhabe bedarf es für das Lernen und Lehren von Teilhabe moralische Kompetenzen, deren Förderung auch in der Lehrkräftebildung bedeutsam erscheint. Die Überlegungen werden zusammenfassend am Beispiel des Einsatzes der Konstanzer Methode der Dilemma-Diskussion konkretisiert, die vielversprechend für die Stärkung moralischer Kompetenzen von Teilhabeorientierung in der Lehrkräftebildung sein könnte. (DIPF/Orig.), The learning of participation in society as a declared objective of any pedagogy remains strangely unconsidered in the discussion about inclusive education. Thus, a purely formal-organisational participation in teaching does not naturally lead to greater equality of opportunity, equity of opportunity and, as a consequence, educational equity. In order to teach and learn participation, a multi-perspective, pedagogical approach to participation is needed. Accordingly, we define it as a social-ethical act and concretise it as a central objective in education. Through the praxeological-pedagogical approach to participation moral competences are required for learning and teaching participation. Therefore, the advancement of moral competences seems to be significant in teacher training programs. The considerations are summarised using the example of the Konstanz method of dilemma discussion, which could be promising for strengthening the moral competences of participation orientation in teacher training programs.

In diesem Aufsatz geht es um den Ausdruck Klima und dessen Entwicklung von einem ursprünglich fachsprachlichen Terminus zu einem Schlüsselwort der umweltpolitischen Diskussion. Die Medienberichterstattung spielt dabei eine zentrale Rolle. Auf der Grundlage der Ergebnisse gezielter Recherchen im Deutschen Referenzkorpus wird die Bedeutungsverschiebung von Klima unter Berücksichtigung der denotativen und der konnotativen Ebene untersucht und auf die Klassifikation von Klima-Komposita eingegangen. Abschließend werden die metaphorischen Bereiche, denen sich häufig verwendete Klima-Komposita zuordnen lassen, dargestellt., This two-part paper deals with Klima (= climate) and the evolution of this word from an originally technical term to a keyword in the environmental policy discussion. Media coverage plays a central role in this context. On the basis of research conducted in the Deutsches Referenzkorpus, we will focus on the meaning change of this word, taking into account both denotation and connotation before discussing the classification of Klima compounds. Finally, the metaphorical domains to which frequently used Klima compounds can be assigned will be presented.

The 20 October 2021 marks the first anniversary of the shooting of unarmed protesters by the Nigerian military. The movement pushing to abolish the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has proved how social media can make the voices of the weak heard. However, recent developments surrounding social media regulations in the aftermath of the shooting show that the right to freedom of expression is at risk of regression. The EndSARS protest has proven itself to be a milestone people-led movement. It is the first time Nigerians from different classes, ethnic groups, and religions have united behind a cause. It went beyond making demands for the mere disbanding of the SARS squad to insisting on the release of protesters, justice for victims, prosecution of poor police conduct, evaluation and retraining of officers, and an increase in police salary - all organised via social media. What came in the aftermath of the movement served as a driver for the renewed calls for bills to regulate social media. The political elite issued a communiqué that called for the strict monitoring and censorship of social media usage. Recent developments are not unique. A careful analysis of social media regulations shows that the government has remained ambivalent towards freedom of expression - promoting that right while at the same time limiting it. Nigeria has witnessed some progress since it transitioned from military to civilian rule in 1999. Nevertheless, it risks regression if draconian bills are introduced that curtail freedom of expression and assembly. The Nigerian government must be willing to review and revise its cyber bills to eliminate ambiguity. It must also include all relevant stakeholders, such as youth, women, and human as well as digital rights experts, in its drafting of cyber bills.

Ausgehend von organisationalen Analyseperspektiven reflektiert der Beitrag den Beginn der Pandemiephase mit Fokus auf den Leistungsbereich Weiterbildung an P��dagogischen Hochschulen als Ausgangspunkt f��r Hochschulentwicklung. Nach einer Rekapitulation des institutionellen Kontexts im ersten Teil greift der Beitrag im zweiten Teil insbesondere drei institutionelle Perspektiven vertiefend auf: 1) das Selbstverst��ndnis des Leistungsbereichs Weiterbildung an einer Professionshochschule, 2) die Bedeutung einer produktiven Beziehung zum Schulfeld sowie 3) die Notwendigkeit der Sicherung von materiellen und ideellen Ressourcen. Diese drei Perspektiven haben sich in der Pandemiephase 2020/2021 innerhalb des Leistungsbereichs Weiterbildung besonders akzentuiert, da etablierte institutionelle Routinen innerhalb der Hochschulen in dieser Zeit des krisenbedingten Improvisierens au��er Kraft gesetzt wurden und zugleich der Druck sehr hoch war, schnell funktionierende L��sungen zu finden. Die Analyse weist somit auf Fragestellungen und Themenbereiche hin, die f��r die k��nftige Entwicklung des Leistungsbereichs Weiterbildung im ��bergang zu neuen organisationalen Routinen an den P��dagogischen Hochschulen bedeutsam sind. (DIPF/Orig.), This article reflects on the beginning of the pandemic phase with a focus on continuing higher education at universities of teacher education as a starting point for organisational learning. After a recapitulation of the institutional context in the first part, the article takes a closer look at three institutional perspectives in the second part: 1) the self-image of continuing higher education at a university of applied sciences, 2) the importance of a productive relationship with schools, and 3) the necessity of securing material and non-material resources. These three perspectives were particularly accentuated in the pandemic phase 2020/2021 within the field of continuing higher education, since established institutional routines were suspended during this time of crisis-related improvisation. At the same time, the pressure to find quick solutions for organisational processes increased. The analysis thus points to questions and thematic areas that are significant for the future development of continuing higher education in the transition to new organisational routines at universities of teacher education.

Konzeptuelles Wissen wird maßgeblich von sprachlichen Erfahrungen beeinflusst. Dabei können Kinder mit steigendem Alter mühelos erkennen, ob beobachtete Phänomene in der außersprachlichen Wirklichkeit eine viable Beziehung aufweisen. Kinder nutzen ihre Welterfahrungen sowie ihre sprachlichen Fähigkeiten, um sprachimmanente Kongruenz herzustellen bzw. aufzubauen. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden 43 Erklärungen von ein- und mehrsprachigen Kindern analysiert, die als Antwort auf präsentierte semantisch (in-)kongruente Begriffspaare mit dem Basiswort beobachten gegeben wurden. Die halbstandardisierten Interviews wurden im Rahmen der Studie "Mehrsprachiges Bedeutungswissen" durchgeführt. Die Analysen zeigen, dass sowohl ein- als auch mehrsprachige Kinder die Kongruenz eher auf konzeptueller Basis beurteilen, weniger auf sprachlicher Basis. Dabei konstruieren sie neue Kontexte, die die Annahme bzw. Ablehnung der Kongruenz plausibel machen. Die Ergebnisse werden diskutiert und sprachdidaktische Schlussfolgerungen gezogen. Conceptual knowledge is significantly influenced by linguistic experiences. With increasing age, children can easily recognize whether entities have a viable relationship. They use their world experiences as well as linguistic abilities to establish or build up language-immanent congruence. In the present paper, 43 statements of monolingual and multilingual children are analysed, which were given in response to presented semantically (in-)congruent pairs of terms in the semi-standardized interview that took place in the context of the main study "Multilingual Meaning Knowledge". It was found that both monolingual and multilingual children judge congruence on a conceptual basis rather than on a linguistic basis. In doing so, they construct new contexts that make the acceptance or rejection of congruence plausible. The results are discussed, and language-didactic conclusions are drawn.

This article, written from the position of someone who has lived experience of therapy for ‘psychosis’ and an interest in participation, explores the degree to which qualitative research truly conveys the voice and perspective of research participants. By exploring five papers focused on diverse experiences of psychotherapy, from the perspective of clients and therapists, it draws out some of the tensions inherent in making interpretations and connections within research papers and the impact this may have on the quality of any conclusions drawn. Finally, it makes some suggestions for ways of meaningfully involving research participants in the process and argues for an ongoing dialogue to prevent our own assumptions and theoretical frameworks from obscuring the importance of this involvement to improve the quality of future research. The work presents a computer-aided method of content analysis applicable to verbatim transcripts of psychotherapy: the Automated Co-occurrence Analysis for Semantic Mapping (ACASM). ACASM is able to perform a context-sensitive strategy of analysis aimed at mapping the meanings of the text through a trans-theoretical procedure. The paper is devoted to the presentation of the method and testing its validity. To the latter end we have compared ACASM and independent blind human coders on two tasks of content analysis: (a) estimating the semantic similarity between two utterances; (b) the semantic classification of a set of utterances. Results highlight that: (a) ACASM's estimates of semantic similarity are consistent with the corresponding estimates provided by coders; (b) coders’ agreement and coder-ACASM agreement on the task of semantic classification have the same magnitude. Results lead to the conclusion that the content analysis produced by ACASM is indistinguishable from that performed by human coders. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

EnglishIn this work, I aim to show that previous clarification of the role of metaphor in bargaining of meaning is a core element in the make up of philosophy of rhetoric. To acheive this, I refer to the trail-blazing examination performed by I.A.Richards on the theme of metaphor in the work titled The Philosophy of Rhetoric, and I build upon this examination by applying a Wittgensteinian view of language learning.

This article describes a type of intervention with parents that attempts to stimulate and encourage empathic imagination in relation to their child's difficult behaviour. Some barriers to this process are explored in the context of wider cultural influences, particularly as they pertain to the USA. Basic cultural assumptions about children, their emotional life and development, are contrasted to basic assumptions in British Object Relations Theory.
