Research has been conducted on the 4,4'-(1,n-alkanediyl)bisbenzyl biradicals. The production of these compounds from the Norrish type-I reaction of [3,n]paracyclophan-2-ones in giving paracyclophans and the study of the biradicals' behavior are discussed.

Research has been conducted on the Lewis acids. The hypothesis that these acids can be used as promoters of the radical addition reactions and can affect the atom transfer processes has been tested and the details are reported.

Research has been conducted on the ciguatoxin's (E)FGN ring system. The convergent synthetic route to this system has been developed and the results indicate that the synthesis involves convergent coupling used in producing dioxane acetal and the ring-closing metathesis used in producing hexahydrooxonine ring F.

Research has been conducted on the substituted epoxy ethers. The results of the intramolecular radical cyclization of these ethers carried out via the use of bis(cyclopentadienyl)titanium(III) chloride as the radical source are presented.

The electrochemical and photochemical oxidation and reduction of this ring have been investigated and the use of the electrospray mass spectrometry in detecting the presence of the anion zinc(II) and its pi ring anion radical species is discussed.
