The article analyzes whether there is a real estate bubble in Atlanta, Georgia, and whether it is going to burst. Julian Diaz, chair of the Real Estate Department at Georgia State University, said that a bubble--in real estate, stocks or any other investment category--occurs when the increase in prices seems grossly out of step with the underlying fundamental value of the asset. Analysts try to predict a bubble by looking at myriad figures, but the most important indicator is home price appreciation.
