This study examined the mediating effect of meaning in life and the moderating effect of interpersonal trust on the relationship between regulatory emotional self-efficacy (RESE) and prosocial behavior among Chinese college students. RESE and prosocial behavior were evaluated via a survey of 942 participants (51.59% females), showing that RESE was linked to prosocial behavior, and meaning in life mediated the relationship between RESE and prosocial behavior. Additionally, the interpersonal trust could reinforce RESE and meaning in life. In summary, RESE can not only be directly related to the prosocial behavior of college students through the meaning in life, and interpersonal trust can promote the relationship between RESE and meaning in life.

With technology-enhanced learning playing an increasingly important role in higher education, university students are enjoying unprecedented benefits while likely experiencing technostress due to increased requirements and different academic expectations of technology-enhanced learning. This study aimed to develop a psychometric scale to measure university students' levels of technostress in technology-enhanced learning. An initial technostress scale was developed drawing on the person-environment fit theory and prior research on technostress. In total 620 students were recruited from two public universities in China. Three rounds of study were performed to validate the initial technostress scale using factor analysis, the Rasch model, and multilevel linear regression. The finalised technostress scale with 8 items demonstrated robust psychometric properties, including high internal consistency, validity, uni-dimensionality, and measurement invariance across students of different demographics. The development of the technostress scale is an important step in identifying maladapted students and preserving their wellbeing so as to increase their constructive and active participation in technology-enhanced learning.

Background: Since the outbreak of COVID‐19, researchers worldwide have focused more on the issue of secondary traumatic stress (STS) experienced by nurses. This stress has an adverse effect on the health of nurses and the quality of nursing care, potentially undermining the stability of the nursing team and hindering the ability to meet the growing demand for nursing services. The impact of the COVID‐19 pandemic, and the rise in global demand for ICU nursing, has placed a significant strain on ICU nurses, severely damaging their mental and physical health. Notably, ICU nurses also face high levels of moral distress, and moral resilience can effectively alleviate this distress and improve the quality of care. Aim: This study aimed to examine the levels of moral resilience and STS among ICU nurses, to explore their relationship and identify the factors influencing STS. Study Design: This cross‐sectional study involved 229 ICU nurses from two tertiary hospitals in Xi'an, China, who participated between November and December 2023. The data were collected through email using anonymous electronic questionnaires, encompassing a self‐designed demographic‐ and work–life‐related characteristic questionnaire; the Rushton Moral Resilience Scale; and the Secondary Traumatic Stress Scale. Descriptive statistics, t‐tests, analysis of variance and hierarchical regression analysis were performed to analyse the data. Results: The findings of the study indicated that ICU nurses' moral resilience and STS scores were at an intermediate level. Hierarchical regression analysis indicated that STS was negatively correlated with the subscales of the Rushton Moral Resilience Scale, specifically moral adversity coping (β, −0.156; 95% CI, −1.241 to −0.039) and relational integrity (β, −0.245; 95% CI, −1.453 to −0.388), which are significant predictors of STS. Additionally, good sleep quality (β, −.396; 95% CI, −14.948 to −7.117) and seeking psychological counselling because of work difficulties (β,.107; 95% CI, 0.237–9.624) emerged as significant predictors of STS among ICU nurses, with the model's explanation of the variance in STS increasing to 45.5%, △R2 =.167, F = 16.482 (p <.001). Conclusion: This study found that ICU nurses have moderate levels of moral resilience and STS, which are negatively correlated. This suggests that improving the moral resilience of ICU nurses may help reduce their STS levels. Relevance to Clinical Practice: The study revealed that ICU nurses' moral resilience and secondary traumatic stress levels were at a moderate level, indicative of the need to take measures to enhance their moral resilience and reduce their secondary traumatic stress, as their presence not only affects the health of ICU nurses but also diminishes the quality of care and increases turnover rates. We aimed to understand the temporal dynamics of SARS‐CoV‐2 reinfection risk and assess the impact of inactivated vaccination on the occurrence of reinfection. We investigated the reinfection risk of SARS‐CoV‐2 from November 1, 2022, to February 12, 2023, when China rapidly lifted the zero‐COVID policy. The study subjects were those who were first infected during the zero‐COVID period between January 1, 2020, and October 31, 2022, in Dalian city, China. Among the 1961 previous infections, 126 (6.4%, 95% CI: 5.4, 7.5) were reinfected. The risk of reinfection increased over time since initial infection. Compared with those who did not receive or received one dose of inactivated vaccine, receiving two or three doses was associated with additional protection against reinfection among individuals who were infected with pre‐Omicron more than a year earlier, with the OR ranged from 0.33 (95% CI: 0.03, 1.83) to 0.91 (95% CI: 0.22, 3.27). In contrast, no protective effect from two or three doses of vaccines against reinfection was observed among those who were first infected with Omicron variants within a year. Primary or booster vaccination contributed to limited protection against reinfection or symptomatic reinfection among individuals infected with Omicron SARS‐CoV‐2 within a year. Few studies have focused on the risk factors for necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in small for gestational age (SGA) infants. The aim of this study was to identify the risk factors for NEC in SGA newborns. This study included consecutive SGA neonates admitted to a tertiary hospital in Jiangxi Province, China from Jan 2008 to Dec 2022. Patients with NEC (Bell's stage ≥ II) were assigned to the NEC group. Gestational age- and birth weight-matched non-NEC infants born during the same period at the same hospital were assigned to the control group. The risk factors associated with NEC were analyzed with univariate and logistic regression models. During the study period, 2,912 SGA infants were enrolled, 150 (5.15%) of whom developed NEC. In total, 143 patients and 143 controls were included in the NEC and control groups, respectively. Logistic regression analysis revealed that sepsis (OR 2.399, 95% CI 1.271–4.527, P = 0.007) and anemia (OR 2.214, 95% CI 1.166–4.204, P = 0.015) might increase the incidence of NEC in SGA infants and that prophylactic administration of probiotics (OR 0.492, 95% CI 0.303–0.799, P = 0.004) was a protective factor against NEC. Background: Many studies have investigated the transfer of skills between laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgery (RAS). These studies have considered time, error, and clinical outcomes in the assessment of skill transfer. However, little is known about the specific operations of the surgeon. Clutch control use is an important skill in RAS. Therefore, the present study aimed to propose a novel objective algorithm based on computer vision that can automatically evaluate a surgeon's clutch use. Additionally, the study aimed to evaluate the correlation between clutch metrics and surgical skill on different surgical robot platforms. Methods: The robotic surgery training center of Wuhan University trained 30 laparoscopic surgeons as the study group between 2023 and 2024. Laparoscopic surgeons were trained by combining robotic simulator exercises and RAS animal experiments. During the training, video and hand movement data were collected. Hand movements identified by a skin-color model were combined with labeling information to classify clutch use. The metrics were validated on different robotic platforms (dv-Trainer, EDGE MP1000, Toumai™ MT1000, and DaVinci Xi system) and among surgeons with different surgical skill levels. Results: On the robotic simulator, clutch accuracy in the expert group was significantly higher than in the study group for all tasks. No significant differences were observed in the number of clutches between the expert and study groups. In the RAS experiment, the number of clutches decreased significantly for both study and expert groups. The accuracy was maintained at a high level in the expert group but decreased rapidly in the study group. Conclusions: We proposed a new objective assessment of surgical skills, clutch use metrics, in cross-platform RAS. Inclusive green growth is an essential way to achieve sustainable development. We construct an index system for inclusive green growth performance levels (IGGPLs) in Chinese cities and measure the IGGPLs of 271 cities in the Chinese mainland from 2006 to 2020 based on the vertical and horizontal scatter degree method. We employ the Kernel density method, Dagum Gini coefficient method, Moran index method, and Markov chain method to investigate distribution evolution, regional disparities, spatial correlations, and state transition of IGGPLs at the city level, respectively. The research results reveal that: (1) China's IGGPL has improved rapidly, but regions with lower IGGPLs still predominate. The eastern region is far ahead, followed by the northeastern region, with the western and center regions trailing; (2) The development trends of IGGPLs in the eastern and central regions are positive, with no signs of polarization. Although polarizations are obvious in the western and northeastern but have been improved significantly; (3) Regional differences exist, but are gradually narrowing over time. By decomposing regional differences, we find that regional differences are the main cause of total differences; (4) The IGGPLs of cities have significant spatial correlations, presenting the spatial agglomeration characteristics of "high-high" and "low-low". The defending behavior of bystanders toward bullied individuals in bullying situations can effectively prevent the occurrence and development of bullying incidents. However, owing to the influence of peer group behavior and specific situational factors, bystanders often do not undertake defending behaviors in bullying situations. To explore the influence of social norms (group factor) and bullying types (situational factor) on bystanders' defending intentions among 325 senior high school students in China, a 4 (social norms: descriptive, injunctive, descriptive-injunctive, no norms) × 4 (bullying types: physical, verbal, relational, cyber) two-factor mixed design was used. The results revealed that the interactive effect between social norms and bullying types was significant after controlling for gender and age. Only when descriptive norms and injunctive norms were presented concurrently was the level of defending intentions in verbal and cyber bullying situations significantly higher than that in physical bullying situations. These results indicate that social norms and bullying types jointly affect bystanders' defending intentions. Drug exposure during pregnancy lacks global fetal safety data. The maternal drug exposure birth cohort (DEBC) study, a prospective longitudinal investigation, aims to explore the correlation of maternal drug exposure during pregnancy with pregnancy outcomes, and establish a human biospecimen biobank. Here we describe the process of establishing DEBC and show that the drug exposure rate in the first trimester of pregnant women in DEBC (n = 112,986) is 30.70%. Among the drugs used, dydrogesterone and progesterone have the highest exposure rates, which are 11.97% and 10.82%, respectively. The overall incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes is 13.49%. Dydrogesterone exposure during the first trimester is correlated with higher incidences of stillbirth, preterm birth, low birth weight, and birth defects, along with a lower incidence of miscarriage/abortion. Due to the limitations of this cohort study, causative conclusions cannot be drawn. Further follow-up and in-depth data analysis are planned for future studies. Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound global impact, although the majority of recently infected cases have presented with mild to moderate symptoms. Previous clinical studies have demonstrated that Shufeng Jiedu (SFJD) capsule, a Chinese herbal patent medicine, effectively alleviates symptoms associated with the common cold, H1N1 influenza, and COVID-19. This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of SFJD capsules in managing symptoms of mild to moderate COVID-19 infection. Methods: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted from May to December 2022 at two hospitals in China. Mild and moderate COVID-19-infected patients presenting respiratory symptoms within 3 days from onset were randomly assigned to either the SFJD or placebo groups in a 1:1 ratio. Individuals received SFJD capsules or a placebo three times daily for five consecutive days. Participants were followed up for more than 14 days after their RT-PCR nucleoid acid test for SARS-CoV-2 turned negative. The primary outcome measure was time to alleviate COVID-19 symptoms from baseline until the end of follow-up. Results: A total of 478 participants were screened; ultimately, 407 completed the trial after randomization (SFJD, n = 203; placebo, n = 204). No statistically significant difference in baseline parameters was observed between the two groups. The median time to alleviate all symptoms was 7 days in the SFJD group compared to 8 days in the placebo group (p = 0.037). Notably, the SFJD group significantly attenuated fever/chills (p = 0.04) and headache (p = 0.016) compared to the placebo group. Furthermore, the median time taken to reach normal body temperature within 24 h was reduced by 7 hours in the SFJD group compared to the placebo group (p = 0.033). No deaths or instances of serious or critical conditions occurred during this trial period; moreover, no serious adverse events were reported. Conclusion: The trial was conducted in a unique controlled hospital setting, and the 5-day treatment with SFJD capsules resulted in a 1-day reduction in overall symptoms, particularly headache and fever/chills, among COVID-19-infected participants with mild or moderate symptoms. Compared to placebo, SFJD capsules were found to be safe with fewer side effects. STUDY QUESTION Can the addition of late embryogenesis-abundant (LEA) proteins as a cryoprotective agent during the vitrification cryopreservation of in vitro matured oocytes enhance their developmental potential after fertilization? SUMMARY ANSWER LEA proteins improve the developmental potential of human in vitro matured oocytes following cryopreservation, mostly by downregulating FOS genes, reducing oxidative stress, and inhibiting the formation of ice crystals. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY Various factors in the vitrification process, including cryoprotectant toxicity, osmotic stress, and ice crystal formation during rewarming, can cause fatal damage to oocytes, thereby affecting the oocytes developmental potential and subsequent clinical outcomes. Recent studies have shown that LEA proteins possess high hydrophilicity and inherent stress tolerance, and can reduce low-temperature damage, although the molecular mechanism it exerts protective effects is still unclear. STUDY DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION Two LEA proteins extracted and purified by us were added to solutions for vitrification-warming of oocytes at concentrations of 10, 100, and 200 µg/mL, to determine the optimal protective concentration for each protein. Individual oocyte samples were collected for transcriptomic analysis, with each group consisting of three sample replicates. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS, SETTING, METHODS Immature oocytes were collected from patients who were undergoing combined in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment and who had met the designated inclusion and exclusion criteria. These oocytes underwent in vitro maturation (IVM) culture for experimental research. A fluorescence microscope was used to detect the levels of mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP), reactive oxygen species (ROS), and calcium in the mitochondria of vitrified-warmed human oocytes treated with different concentrations of LEA proteins, and the protective effect of the protein on mitochondrial function was assessed. The levels of intracellular ice recrystallization inhibition (IRI) in human oocytes after vitrification-warming were characterized by the cryomicroscope, to determine the LEA proteins inhibitory effect on recrystallization. By analyzing transcriptome sequencing data to investigate the potential mechanism through which LEA proteins exert their cryoprotective effects. MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE The secondary structures of AfrLEA2 and AfrLEA3m proteins were shown to consist of a large number of α-helices and the proteins were shown to be highly hydrophilic, in agreement with previous reports. Confocal microscopy results showed that the immunofluorescence of AfrLEA2-FITC and AfrLEA3m-FITC-labeled proteins appeared to be extracellular and did not penetrate the cell membrane compared with the fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) control group, indicating that both AfrLEA2 and AfrLEA3m proteins were extracellular. The group treated with 100 µg/mL AfrLEA2 or AfrLEA3m protein had more uniform cytoplasmic particles and fewer vacuoles compared to the 10 and 200 µg/mL groups and were closest to the fresh group. In the 100 µg/mL groups, MMPs were significantly higher while ROS and calcium levels were significantly lower than those in the control group and were closer to the levels observed in fresh oocytes. Meanwhile, 100 µg/mL of AfrLEA2 or AfrLEA3m protein caused smaller ice crystal formation in the IRI assay compared to the control group treated with dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) and ethylene glycol (EG); thus, the recrystallization inhibition was superior to that with the conventional cryoprotectants DMSO and EG. Further results revealed that the proteins improved the developmental potential of human oocytes following cryopreservation, likely by downregulating FOS genes and reducing oxidative stress. LIMITATIONS, REASONS FOR CAUTION The in vitro -matured metaphase II (IVM-MII) oocytes used in the study, due to ethical constraints, may not accurately reflect the condition of MII oocytes in general. The AfrLEA2 and AfrLEA3m proteins are recombinant proteins and their synthetic stability needs to be further explored. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS LEA proteins, as a non-toxic and effective cryoprotectant, can reduce the cryoinjury of oocytes during cryopreservation. It provides a new promising method for cryopreservation of various cell types. Objectives: Linezolid is a commonly used antibiotic in the clinical treatment of gram-positive bacterial infections. The impacts of drug interactions on the pharmacokinetics of linezolid are often overlooked. This manuscript aims to review the medications that affect the pharmacokinetics of linezolid. Methods: In accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, we queried the PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library for publications from database establishment to November 3, 2023, using the search terms: "Linezolid" and "interaction," or "interact," or "drug-drug interaction," or "co-treatment," or "cotreatment," or "combined," or "combination." Results: A total of 24 articles were included. Among the reported medication interactions, rifampicin, levothyroxine, venlafaxine, and phenobarbital could reduce the concentration of linezolid; clarithromycin, digoxin, cyclosporine, proton pump inhibitors, and amiodarone could increase the concentration of linezolid, while aztreonam, phenylpropanolamine, dextromethorphan, antioxidant vitamins, and magnesium-containing antacids had no significant effects on linezolid pharmacokinetics. The ratio of mean (ROM) of linezolid AUC in co-treatment with rifampicin to monotherapy was 0.67 (95%CI 0.58–0.77) and 0.63 (95%CI 0.43–0.91), respectively, in 2 studies, and co-treatment with 500 mg clarithromycin to monotherapy was 1.81 (95%CI 1.49–2.13). Conclusions: This systematic review found that numerous drugs have an impact on the pharmacokinetics of linezolid, and the purported main mechanism may be that linezolid is the substrate of P-glycoprotein. In clinical practice, it is prudent to pay attention to the changes in linezolid pharmacokinetics caused by interactions. Background: Mental health issues (depression and suicidal ideation) are increasingly common in children and emerge as escalating public health concerns. The syndemics that underline the importance of risk factor clustering provides a framework for intervention, but there is a lack of research on syndemics involving the adverse interactions of children's mental health problems. This study therefore examined the cumulative and synergistic effects of vulnerable conditions on depression and suicidal ideation among children in China. Methods: A mental health screening census of students in grades 5–12 was conducted from November 2022 to January 2023 in Nanling County, Anhui Province, China. The prevalence and co-occurrence of vulnerable conditions (unfavorable parental marital status, left-behind experience, bullying victimization, and self-harm behavior), depression, and suicidal ideation and the cumulative and synergistic effects of vulnerable conditions on depression and suicidal ideation were explored. Results: Nearly a quarter of students (24.8%) reported at least two syndemic conditions. Overall, the prevalence of depression and suicidal ideation were 20.2% and 24.2% respectively. The odds of depression and suicidal ideation were higher for children with one or more vulnerable conditions and were ten times higher for children with three or more vulnerable conditions compared with those without any vulnerable condition. These four vulnerable conditions can increase the odds of depression and suicidal ideation by interacting synergistically with each other. Few studies have evaluated the joint effect of trace elements on spontaneous preterm birth (SPTB). This study aimed to examine the relationships between the individual or mixed maternal serum concentrations of Fe, Cu, Zn, Se, Sr and Mo during pregnancy, and risk of SPTB. Inductively coupled plasma MS was employed to determine maternal serum concentrations of the six trace elements in 192 cases with SPTB and 282 controls with full-term delivery. Multivariate logistic regression, weighted quantile sum regression (WQSR) and Bayesian kernel machine regression (BKMR) were used to evaluate the individual and joint effects of trace elements on SPTB. The median concentrations of Sr and Mo were significantly higher in controls than in SPTB group (P < 0·05). In multivariate logistic regression analysis, compared with the lowest quartile levels of individual trace elements, the third- and fourth-quartile Sr or Mo concentrations were significantly associated with reduced risk of SPTB with adjusted OR (aOR) of 0·432 (95 CI < 0·05). In multivariate logistic regression analysis, compared with the lowest quartile levels of individual trace elements, the third- and fourth-quartile Sr or Mo concentrations were significantly associated with reduced risk of SPTB with adjusted aOR of 0·432 (95 % CI 0·247, 0·756), 0·386 (95 % CI 0·213, 0·701), 0·512 (95 % CI 0·297, 0·883) and 0·559 (95 % CI 0·321, 0·972), respectively. WQSR revealed the inverse combined effect of the trace elements mixture on SPTB (aOR = 0·368, 95 % CI 0·228, 0·593). BKMR analysis confirmed the overall mixture of the trace elements was inversely associated with the risk of SPTB, and the independent effect of Sr and Mo was significant. Background: To estimate the long-term cost-effectiveness of once-weekly semaglutide versus sitagliptin as an add-on therapy for type 2 diabetes patients inadequately controlled on metformin in China, to better inform healthcare decision making. Methods: The Cardiff diabetes model which is a Monte Carlo micro-simulation model was used to project short-term effects of once-weekly semaglutide versus sitagliptin into long-term outcomes. Short-term data of patient profiles and treatment effects were derived from the 30-week SUSTAIN China trial, in which 868 type 2 diabetes patients with a mean age of 53.1 years inadequately controlled on metformin were randomized to receive once-weekly semaglutide 0.5 mg, once-weekly semaglutide 1 mg, or sitagliptin 100 mg. Costs and quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) were estimated from a healthcare system perspective at a discount rate of 5%. Univariate sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, and probabilistic sensitivity analysis were conducted to test the uncertainty. Results: Over patients' lifetime projections, patients in both once-weekly semaglutide 0.5 mg and 1 mg arms predicted less incidences of most vascular complications, mortality, and hypoglycemia, and lower total costs compared with those in sitagliptin arm. For an individual patient, compared with sitagliptin, once-weekly semaglutide 0.5 mg conferred a small QALY improvement of 0.08 and a lower cost of $5173, while once-weekly semaglutide 1 mg generated an incremental QALY benefit of 0.12 and a lower cost of $7142, as an add-on to metformin. Therefore, both doses of once-weekly semaglutide were considered dominant versus sitagliptin with more QALY benefits at lower costs. Conclusion: Once-weekly semaglutide may represent a cost-effective add-on therapy alternative to sitagliptin for type 2 diabetes patients inadequately controlled on metformin in China. Exploring the evolution of vegetation cover and its drivers in the Ferghana Basin helps to understand the current ecological status of the Ferghana Basin and to analyze the vegetation changes and drivers, with a view to providing a scientific basis for regional ecological and environmental management and planning. Based on GIMMS NDVI3g and meteorological data, the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of NDVI were analyzed from multiple perspectives with the help of linear trend and Mann–Kendall (MK) test methods using arcgis and the R language spatial analysis module, combined with partial correlation coefficients and residual analysis methods to analyze the impacts of climate change and human activities on the regional vegetation cover of the Ferghana Basin from 1982 to 2015. NDVI driving forces. The results showed the following: (1) The growing season of vegetation NDVI in the Ferghana Basin showed an increasing trend in the 34-year period, with an increase rate of 0.0044/10a, and the spatial distribution was significantly different, which was high in the central part of the country and low in the northern and southern parts of the country. (2) Temperature and precipitation simultaneously co-influenced the vegetation NDVI growth season, with most of the temperature and precipitation contributing in the spring, most of the temperature in the summer being negatively phased and the precipitation positively correlated, and most of the temperature and precipitation in the fall inhibiting vegetation NDVI growth. (3) The combined effect of climate change and human activities was the main reason for the overall rapid increase and great spatial variations in vegetation NDVI in China, and the spatial distribution of drivers, namely human activities and climate change, contributed 44.6% to vegetation NDVI in the growing season. The contribution of climate change and human activities to vegetation NDVI in the Ferghana Basin was 62.32% and 93.29%, respectively. During the Carboniferous Period, the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas were located in quite different paleogeographic positions with various sedimentary and biological types. It is important to systematically compile and summarize the Carboniferous strata and biotas of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas, to establish an integrated stratigraphic framework for correlation, and to reconstruct the paleogeography for correctly understanding the breakup of the Gondwana Continent and the evolution of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean in the Late Paleozoic. The Carboniferous of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas can be subdivided into the Gondwanan, Cimmerian, and Tethyan types. The Gondwanan-type Carboniferous are distributed in the North Himalayan, Kangmar-Lhunze, and Zanda-Zumba regions of the South Tibet Subprovince and northern India-Pakistan Area, where only the Mississippian is developed and the biota is of Gondwanan affinity. The Cimmerian-type Carboniferous, which are found in the Baoshan, Tengchong, Coqen-Xainza, Lhasa-Zayu, Nagqu-Biru, and South Qiangtang regions, as well as Shan-Thai and South Afghanistan-Pamir areas, also represent only the Mississippian strata, but their biota is characterized by mixed characters of European, South China, Australian, and North American types. The Tethyan-type Carboniferous are distributed in the Tanggula Mountains, Hoh Xil-Bayanhar, Chamdo-Hengduanshan, Tiekelike, West Kunlun, Karakorum, East Kunlun-Central Qinling, and Qilian regions, where the Carboniferous succession is well developed, and the biota is of warm-water Tethyan affinity. The biostratigraphical correlation of the Gond-wanan-type and Cimmerian-type Carboniferous is based mainly on conodonts and additionally on brachiopods and rugose corals. The Mississippian of the Tethyan-type Carboniferous is correlated mainly by using rugose corals and brachiopods, whereas in the Pennsylvanian foraminifera (fusuline) and conodonts are regarded as primary fossil groups, subordinated by rugose corals and brachiopods. Adhering to the International standard chronostratigraphy of the Carboniferous, we have reconstructed a framework of the litho- and biostratigraphic subdivision and correlation of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas. Further studies should focus on isotope geochronology, geochemistry, paleoclimates, and paleoenvironments of the Carboniferous in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas. The quality of life of diabetic patients is seriously affected by wound healing difficulty, which can lead to increased infection, skin deep tissue injury and continuous pain. By analyzing the research trends and hot spots in this field, the visualization analysis map is constructed. Methods: The contents of the selected articles were sorted out and analyzed by bibliometrics. We use CiteSpace, Vosviewer and HistCite to visualize literature information, including national publication statistics, institutions, authors, journal partnerships, and citations of published articles. Results: Among the 2942 articles, the United States and China ranked first in both article circulation and TGCS, and many countries also cooperated. The collaboration between schools and research institutions is a core part of dissertation research institution collaboration, with most authors coming from the same institution. Most of the literature studies on the mechanisms and methods of promoting diabetic wound healing. Improving cell function or making innovative attempts in local treatment are the fruits of researchers' efforts to promote diabetic wound healing in recent years. Conclusion: Through the metrology method, the time distribution, author institution, cooperation network, research status, research hotspot and development trend of the literature on the influence of diabetes on wound healing were intuitively displayed, which provided a reference for further research and development direction. Background: The possibility of adverse effects of medical treatment (AEMT) is increasing worldwide, but little is known about AEMT in China. This study analyzed the health burden of AEMT in China in recent years through the Global Burden of Disease Study (GBD) 2019 and compared it with the worldwide average level and those in different sociodemographic index (SDI) regions. Methods: We calculated the age-standardized rate (ASR) of deaths, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), years of life lost (YLLs), years lived with disability (YLDs), incidence and prevalence attributed to AEMT in China, worldwide and countries with different sociodemographic indices during 1990–2019 using the latest data and methods from the GBD 2019. Results: From 1990 to 2019, the global age-standardized death rate (ASDR), DALYs, and YLLs for AEMT showed a significant downward trend and were negatively associated with the SDI. By 2040, the ASDR is expected to reach approximately 1.58 (95% UI: 1.33–1.80). From 1990 to 2019, there was no significant change in the global incidence of AEMT. The occurrence of AEMT was related to sex, and the incidence of AEMT was greater among females. In addition, the incidence of AEMT-related injuries and burdens, such as ASR of DALYs, ASR of YLLs and ASR of YLDs, was greater among women than among men. Very old and very young people were more likely to be exposed to AEMT. Conclusions: From 1990 to 2019, progress was made worldwide in reducing the harm caused by AEMT. However, the incidence and prevalence of AEMT did not change significantly overall during this period. The governance of community public space is one of the most concerned issue of people's livelihood, and its effectiveness determines the residents' living experience and even the stability of the grassroots political authority. In order to explore the factors of the effectiveness of community public space governance and the path to enhance the effectiveness of community public space governance, this analysis combines the influencing factors with the three stages of identification, management and confirmation in public value management theory, and constructs an indicator system for measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of community public space governance. The fsQCA3.0 is used to analyze the data of 300 residents in Tianjin, China, after which several aims that affect the effectiveness of community public space governance are obtained. The results show that the paths of "resident trust, property management is authoritative" and "customer oriented, democratic consultation" that bring higher governance efficiency have a consistency of 0.874761 and a coverage of 0.480994, which explains well what combination of antecedent factors should be present in communities with high public space governance effectiveness. Based on this, in order to improve the governance efficiency of community public space, improving residents' living experience and promote the modernization of China's urban construction, the government, property management company, owners' committee and neighborhood committee should increase investment in enhancing policy support, establishing service concepts, introducing technology and equipment, enhancing residents' trust and establishing dispute coordination agencies. A new erinaceine, Sonidolestes wendusui gen. et sp. nov., from the Early Miocene of Inner Mongolia in China, is described here. The tooth morphology of this new taxon is quite unique. Especially, the enlarged p4 has a regressed paraconid and lacks the metaconid and the paralophid, unlike any known member of the Erinaceinae. Sonidolestes wendusui probably feeds on snails or coleopteran insects. Background: Significant lower genital tract (LGT) dysbiosis and an associated lower rate of clinical pregnancy after in vitro fertilization–frozen embryo transfer (IVF-FET) among polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) patients have been previously reported by our group. We aimed to assess whether transvaginal Lactobacillus supplementation can reverse LGT dysbiosis and further improve perinatal outcomes in PCOS patients after IVF-FET. Methods/design: This is a protocol for a multicenter, open-label, randomized controlled trial in China. Women diagnosed with PCOS who are undergoing IVF-FET treatment will be recruited. Allocation to the intervention/control arms at a ratio of 1:1 will be executed by an electronic randomization system. Participants in the intervention arm will receive the live Lactobacillus capsule vaginally for 10 consecutive days before embryo transfer, while those in the control arm will receive standard individualized care. The primary outcomes will be the clinical pregnancy rate, implantation rate, and live birth rate. 16S rRNA sequencing and liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry will be conducted to evaluate the LGT microbiome and systemic metabonomics before and after the intervention. A sample of 260 participants will provide 95% power to detect a 20% increase in the rate of clinical pregnancy (α = 0.025, one-tailed test, 15% dropout rate). A total of 300 participants will be recruited. Discussion: This is the first large and multicenter randomized controlled trial aimed at assessing the efficacy of transvaginal Lactobacillus supplementation on restoring the LGT microbiome and improving perinatal outcomes in PCOS patients after IVF-FET. This pragmatic trial is promising for increasing the rates of clinical pregnancy and live birth in PCOS patients after IVF-FET. Aim: To investigate the male nurses' engagement in nursing work and the influencing factors. Design: A cross‐sectional study. Methods: A cross‐sectional survey was conducted in 13 hospitals in China to collect data from 328 male nurses from August to October 2021. A structural equation model design was tested with validated measurement instruments. Results: The work engagement of male nurses in China was at a medium level. There was a high correlation of the male nurses' work engagement with career identity (r = 0.764, p < 0.01), career success (r = 0.735, p < 0.01) and social support (r = 0.477, p < 0.01). The linear multivariate regression analysis showed that career satisfaction (β = 0.393), career identity (β = 0.392) and subjective support (β = 0.116) entered regression equation of male nurses' work engagement (all p < 0.05). The structural equation model results showed that career identity and social support were the influencing factors of the male nurses' work engagement and the model explained variation of 66.4% variables. Conclusion: To know the male nurses' work engagement and influencing factors in China has certain enlightening significance for male nurses themselves and nursing manager. On the one hand, it is necessary to enhance the male nurses' career recognition to nursing work. On the other hand, the society should provide more aid and support to the male nurses. Introduction: Oral histopathology is a bridge course connecting oral basic medicine and clinical dentistry. However, the application of outcomes-based education via flipped classroom (FC) in oral histopathology has not been well explored. This study has assessed the efficacy of outcomes-based education via FC in undergraduate oral histopathology module learning in Nanjing Medical University of China. Materials and methods: A total of 214 third-year students were enrolled and assigned to the FC group of the batch 2022-23 (n = 110) and the traditional classroom (TC) group of the batch 2021-22 (n = 104) to participate the oral histopathology sessions respectively in the study. The FC group were required to preview the online course materials pre-class, followed by in-class quizz, in-class interactive group discussion, and slides microscopic observation. The outcomes-based formative and summative assessments for FC were designed. The TC group attended traditional laboratory class for the same glass slides microscopic observation. In addition, a questionnaire was performed to investigate the satisfaction of learning. Along with this, the performances of FC group in written theory tests and oral histopathology slide tests were compared with TC group. Results: Students in the FC group gained significantly final higher scores of the course than those in the TC group (score: 83.79 ± 11 vs. 76.73 ± 10.93, P<0.0001). Data from the student questionnaires indicated a preference for outcomes-based module education via FC. In the questionnaires, most students considered outcomes-based module education via FC to be beneficial to learning motivation, knowledge comprehension, critical thinking and teamwork. FC group had a higher level of satisfaction with oral histopathology teaching than TC group (satisfaction score: 4.599 ± 0.1027 vs. 4.423 ± 0.01366, P<0.01). INTRODUCTION Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) may have special advantages in facilitating smoking cessation, but consensus on effectiveness is lacking. We aim to comprehensively review, update, and refine current evidence on TCM effectiveness and safety. METHODS Nine databases were searched from their inception up to 28 February 2023. Systematic reviews (SRs) and meta-analysis of TCM for smoking cessation were identified and retrieved. Additional databases and hand searches of RCTs from included SRs were performed for data pooling. Cochrane ROB tools and AMSTAR-2 were used to evaluate the methodological quality of RCTs and SRs, respectively. RCT data are presented as relative risks (RR) or mean differences (MD) with 95% confidence intervals (CI) using RevMan 5.4. RESULTS Thirteen SRs involving 265 studies with 33081 participants were included. Among these 265 studies, 157 were duplicates (58.36%) and 52 were non-RCTs (19.62%). Combined with the remaining 56 RCTs identified through hand searches, 88 RCTs involving 12434 participants were finally included for data synthesis. All the SRs focused on acupoint stimulation, and the majority were of low or very low quality. The methodological quality of RCTs was either unclear or high risk. For continuous abstinence rate, TCM external interventions were better than placebo in 6 months to 1 year (RR=1.60; 95% CI: 1.14-2.25; I²=27%; n=5533 participants). Compared with placebo, TCM external application was effective in reducing nicotine withdrawal symptoms, and the effect was gradually stable and obvious in the fourth week (MD= -4.46; 95% CI: -5.43 -- -3.49; n=165 participants). Twelve RCTs reported adverse events as outcome indicators for safety evaluation, and no serious adverse events occurred. CONCLUSIONS Despite the methodological limitations of the original studies, our review suggests that TCM intervention shows potential effectiveness on the continuous abstinence rate. Net primary production (NPP) serves as a crucial indicator of the ecosystem's capacity to capture atmospheric CO2. Gaining insights into the dynamics of NPP and its driving mechanisms is pivotal for optimizing ecosystem carbon sink resource management. Since the implementation of the Grain-for-Green Program (GFGP) in 1999, the Yellow River Basin (YRB) has been one of the most significant areas for ecological restoration in China. However, our knowledge regarding the interannual variability (IAV) of NPP and the underlying driving forces in this region remains incomplete. In this study, we utilized a light use efficiency model to assess the spatiotemporal dynamics, IAV, and driving factors of NPP in the YRB during the period from 1999 to 2018. Our findings revealed that the average annual NPP in the YRB approximated 189.81 Tg C. Over the study duration, NPP significantly increased in 79.63% of the basin with an overall increasing rate of 6.76 g C m−2 yr−1. The most prominent increase was observed in the key GFGP implementation area, predominantly in the semi-humid region. Notably, the middle altitude region (1–1.5 km), semi-humid region, and grassland emerged as the primary contributors to the basin's total vegetation carbon sequestration. However, it is worth emphasizing that there was substantial IAV in the temporal trends of NPP, with the semi-humid region being the most influential contributor (62.66%) to the overall NPP IAV in the YRB. Further analysis of the driving mechanisms unveiled precipitation as the primary driver of NPP IAV in the YRB with a contribution of 62.9%, followed by temperature (23.07%) and radiation (14.03%). Overall, this study deepened our understanding of the IAV and driving mechanisms of NPP in the YRB under ecological restoration, and provided scientific support for optimizing the management of regional carbon sequestration resources. Monitored natural attenuation (MNA) technology is a groundwater remediation method that relies on risk management and long-term monitoring. However, there are currently few studies that have investigated the effectiveness of natural attenuation as a remediation method for carbon tetrachloride-contaminated sites. The objective of this study is to quantify the natural attenuation of tetrachloride contamination in a polluted site in eastern China through a 2-year MNA. Carbon tetrachloride was found to be the most severely pollutant in the saturated aquifers of the site, with a range of 76,696 m2 (> 0.5 mg L−1). Results show that the concentration in the deep quaternary first aquifer (QFA) was higher than that in the shallow aquifer. The maximum concentration at the center of the pollution plume in the bedrock aquifer (BA) was reduced from the initial 35.3 to 10.7 mg L−1 after the implementation of MNA. The hypothesis that carbon tetrachloride was affected by the stratum fluctuation was verified through the field investigations. Specifically, the concentration of carbon tetrachloride decreased as the elevation of the monitoring point increased in the same aquifer generally. It was notable that the highly weathered bedrock fractured aquifer provided a large amount of relatively evenly fractured space for pollutant storage. Moreover, the heterogeneity of fracture network distribution also led to the appearance of the delamination characteristics of carbon tetrachloride. The diffusion of the carbon tetrachloride plume was mainly influenced with hydrodynamics and topographical fluctuations. The maximum concentration of carbon tetrachloride decreased with a rate of 48.84% in deep QFA, whereas it decreased with a rate of 69.69% in BA. The present study holds significant importance for the remediation of sites contaminated with DNAPL (dense non-aqueous phase liquid). Furthermore, the study can also help in identifying the key factors that influence the natural attenuation process and aid in developing effective remediation strategies for DNAPL-contaminated sites. Background: DIP is a new medical insurance payment system developed in China which was implemented in Guangzhou in January 2018, but few studies have focused on its intervention effect on the drug burden of elderly hypertensive patients.Methods: Nine medical institutions in Guangzhou, China, were selected, among which, daily full medical orders of elderly hypertensive inpatients from 2016 to 2020 were randomly collected. To assess the impact of DIP policy intervention on patient drug burden, we took the data after policy implementation in January 2018, as the intervention data, and applied a segmented regression model with interrupted time series to analyze the trend and changes in average daily drug costs per month and medication structure, stratified by age, sex, and inpatient department.Results: A total of 34,276 elderly hypertensive patients' daily full medical orders were obtained. The immediate level change of drug costs after intervention was − 23.884 RMB/month (P = 0.652), and the trend change was statistically significant (− 15.642 RMB/month, P = 0.002). The relative cumulative effect at the end of the study was − 78.860% (95% CI: − 86.087% to − 69.076%), and the intervention effect was more significant in surgical and male patients. The analysis of drug structure changes showed that after the implementation of the DIP policy intervention, the proportion of anti-infective drugs, anti-tumor drugs, and biological products all showed a significant downward trend (P < 0.05), while nutritional drugs showed a significant upward trend (P = 0.011), but no immediate horizontal change in slope was observed.Conclusion: The typical practice in China showed that DIP policy intervention can improve the drug burden of elderly hypertensive hospitalized patients and has a stable long-term effect, and the intervention effect is not consistent across different clinical department and populations with different characteristics, and it would also cause changes in the medication structure. Summary: Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR‐T) cell therapy is highly effective in inducing complete remission in haematological malignancies. Severe cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is the most significant and life‐threatening adverse effect of this therapy. This multi‐centre study was conducted at six hospitals in China. The training cohort included 87 patients with multiple myeloma (MM), an external validation cohort of 59 patients with MM and another external validation cohort of 68 patients with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) or non‐Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). The levels of 45 cytokines on days 1–2 after CAR‐T cell infusion and clinical characteristics of patients were used to develop the nomogram. A nomogram was developed, including CX3CL1, GZMB, IL4, IL6 and PDGFAA. Based on the training cohort, the nomogram had a bias‐corrected AUC of 0.876 (95% CI = 0.871–0.882) for predicting severe CRS. The AUC was stable in both external validation cohorts (MM, AUC = 0.907, 95% CI = 0.899–0.916; ALL/NHL, AUC = 0.908, 95% CI = 0.903–0.913). The calibration plots (apparent and bias‐corrected) overlapped with the ideal line in all cohorts. We developed a nomogram that can predict which patients are likely to develop severe CRS before they become critically ill, improving our understanding of CRS biology, and may guide future cytokine‐directed therapies. Background and Objective: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common type of median nerve entrapment neuropathy. This study aims to comparatively assess the effectiveness and clinical efficacy of modified transforaminal endoscopic minimally invasive incision of transverse carpal ligament against traditional open incision of transverse carpal ligament in the treatment of CTS. Method: The clinical data of 35 patients (57 wrists) with primary CTS treated in Shanxi Bethune Hospital, China, were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into observation group (21 cases, 33 wrists) and control group (14 cases, 24 wrists), respectively, who underwent modified endoscopic minimally invasive incision of transverse carpal ligament and traditional open incision of transverse carpal ligament release. The Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire (BCTQ) was assessed at for points: before the operation; 2 weeks; 1 month; and 3 months after operation. The BCTQ scores of the two groups were compared on all four points. The incidence of intraoperative and postoperative complication was used as the evaluation index. The study variables were comparatively assessed before and postoperation and also between the groups. Results: The BCTQ scores at 2 weeks, 1 month and 3 months after the operation were significantly lower than preoperative BCTQ scores (P < 0.005) for both the groups. There was no significant difference in BCTQ scores between the two groups at the four assessment points (P > 0.005). The scar size and wound healing time were significantly better with modified transforaminal endoscopic minimally invasive transverse carpal ligament incision. Conclusion: The clinical effects of both modified transforaminal minimally invasive incision of transverse carpal ligament and traditional open incision of transverse carpal ligament are significant, while the treatment efficacy of modified transforaminal minimally invasive transverse carpal ligament incision is better in terms of operation time, wound size, postoperative scar size and incision healing time. Soil microorganisms contribute substantially to a wide range of services and thereby improve recovery in ecosystem restoration. However, there is relatively limited information on how microbial communities respond to different land-use types with similar plant species and their potential roles in supporting soil restoration in mine tailings. To understand the importance of the response of soil microbial communities to the stress of tailings area in different soil habitats, this article selected three different land use types (Tailings area, Buffer zone and Vegetable field) as the variables in the Yanzibian tailings area in Ningqiang, Shaanxi Province, China. Soil physicochemical properties and heavy metal concentrations of the different land use types were compared. Illumina MiSeq. 2500 Sequencing Technology was used to analyze the abundance and structural diversity of the microbial community in soil samples. The results showed that most of the soil samples were unsafe with multiple metals. All soil samples in the buffer zone and tailings ponds were acidic. With the acidity decreased, bacterial community richness and diversity increased significantly. Briefly, different environmental factors and soil microbial communities were significantly distinct across different land-use types. Cu, Zn, Pb, pH, MC (Moisture content), TN (Total nitrogen), TP (Total phosphorus), and TK (Total potassium) were essential factors affecting the abundance and structural diversity of soil microbial communities across three different land-use types. As a result, Actinobacteria, Alphaproteobacteria, and Gammaproteobacteria were the top dominant classes in the buffer zone and Vegetable field soils, while Sulfobacillia dominated in tailings pond soils. Further, we found that with the continuous decline of the pH, the dominant genera transferred from norank_f__norank_o__Vicinamibacterales, Bacillus and Nocardioides to the norank_f__norank_o__Gaiellales and norank_f__norank_o__Acidobacteriales, then to Sulfobacillus. These confirmed that the responses of microbiota to heavy metals stress varied in different land-use types. Together, this study provides important information on the occurrence and distribution of soil microbiomes in tailings areas and their potentially beneficial roles in soil restoration. Background: COVID-19 infection continues all over the world, causing serious physical and psychological impacts to patients. Patients with COVID-19 infection suffer from various negative emotional experiences such as anxiety, depression, mania, and alienation, which seriously affect their normal life and is detrimental to the prognosis. Our study is aimed to investigate the effect of psychological capital on alienation among patients with COVID-19 and the mediating role of social support in this relationship. Methods: The data were collected in China by the convenient sampling. A sample of 259 COVID-19 patients completed the psychological capital, social support and social alienation scale and the structural equation model was adopted to verify the research hypotheses. Results: Psychological capital was significantly and negatively related to the COVID-19 patients' social alienation (p <.01). And social support partially mediated the correlation between psychological capital and patients' social alienation (p <.01). Conclusion: Psychological capital is critical to predicting COVID-19 patients' social alienation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, mobile phone dependence (MPD) became a common addictive behavior among adolescents because of social isolation. To understand the underlying mechanisms of the impact of social isolation on MPD, this study examined the mediating role of loneliness and the moderating role of parent–child communication patterns on social isolation and MPD. Six hundred and eighty-three adolescents from a middle school in Huang'gang city, China, were recruited to complete a self-report questionnaire. Data analysis comprised latent profile analysis and structural equation modelling. The results showed that social isolation had a significant and positive indirect effect on MPD via loneliness. In addition, three types of parent–child communication patterns were observed: complex, adaptive, and maladaptive. For adolescents with complex parent–child communication, the indirect relation of social isolation to MPD via loneliness is weaker than that of adolescents with maladaptive parent–child communication. These findings suggested that the indirect effect of social isolation on MPD via loneliness was moderated by parent-child communication patterns. Psychological intervention for MPD should emphasize relieving adolescents' loneliness and improving the quality of their communication with parents during the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper examines whether and how mutual fund activism affects corporate innovation. Using a patent‐based innovation dataset from 2006 to 2017, our finding, which is inconsistent with the managerial myopia hypothesis, reveals that mutual fund intervention is associated with corporate innovation. We propose that mutual fund intervention promotes corporate innovation, proxied by invention patents. In addition, the effect of mutual fund intervention on corporate innovation is more pronounced for non‐state‐owned enterprises (non‐SOEs) than for state‐owned enterprises (SOEs), and that mutual fund intervention is likely to increase firms' portfolio R&D expenditures. Objective: To evaluate the effect of low-frequency (≤1Hz) repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (low-frequency rTMS) combined with antidepressants on depression and the levels of inflammatory factors IL-6 and TNF-a in patients with post-stroke depression (PSD). Design: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library (CBM), China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Technology Periodical Database, and Wanfang Database were searched until October 2022 for randomized controlled trials. Participants: Patients with post-stroke depression (PSD) participated in the study. Results: A total of 16 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving 1,463 patients with PSD were included. According to the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) quality assessment, three studies received high quality (eight scores) and 13 RCTs received moderate quality (six scores) results. The meta-analysis showed that low-rTMS combined with an antidepressant significantly reduced the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) score and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, reduced IL-6 and TNF-a levels, and improved the MMSE score in PSD compared to an antidepressant alone. Conclusion: The results of thismeta-analysis evidenced the efficacy and safety of low-rTMS combined with antidepressants in the treatment of depression in PSD patients. The combined therapy could reduce The depression state and the levels of IL-6 and TNF-a, and enhance the cognitive function of patients. In addition, low-rTMS had fewer adverse effects, proving safety. However, there are shortcomings, such as a lack of long-term follow-up, different intervention sites of low-rTMS, and different intervention frequencies (0.5 or 1Hz). Thus, in the future, RCTs with a larger sample size and longer-term observation are required to verify the efectiveness of low-rTMS combined therapy on PSD. The conclusions about the association of maternal pregnancy environment, occupation, and benzene compounds with fetal CHD are not entirely consistent. Eight hundred seven CHD cases and 1008 controls were included in this study. All occupations were classified and coded against the Occupational Classification Dictionary of the People's Republic of China (2015 version). Logistic regressions were used to explore the correlation among environmental factors, occupation types, and CHDs in offspring. We found that living near public facilities and having exposure to chemical reagents and hazardous substances were significant risk factors for CHDs in offspring. We found that offspring of mothers who worked in agriculture and similar work during pregnancy suffered from CHD. The risk of all CHDs in the offspring of pregnant women working in production manufacturing and related work was significantly higher than that in unemployed pregnant women, the risk was also observed in 4 subtypes of CHDs. We compared the concentrations of the five metabolite (MA, mHA, HA, PGA, and SPMA) levels of benzene compounds in the urine of mothers in case and control groups and found no significant differences. Our study suggests that maternal exposure during pregnancy and certain environmental and occupational conditions are risk factors for CHD in offspring, but did not support an association between concentrations of metabolites of benzene compounds in the urine of pregnant women and CHDs in their offspring. Background: The prevalence of anxiety and other psychological disorders has increased during the COVID‐19 pandemic, especially among the elderly. Anxiety and metabolic syndrome (MetS) may aggravate each other. This study further clarified the correlation between the two. Methods: Adopting a convenience sampling method, this study investigated 162 elderly people over 65 years of age in Fangzhuang Community, Beijing. All participants provided baseline data on sex, age, lifestyle, and health status. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) was used to assess anxiety. Blood samples, abdominal circumference, and blood pressure were used to diagnose MetS. The elderly were divided into MetS and control groups according to the diagnosis of MetS. Differences in anxiety between the two groups were analysed and further stratified by age and gender. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyse the possible risk factors for MetS. Results: Compared with the control group, anxiety scores of the MetS group were statistically higher (Z = 4.78, P < 0.001). There was a significant correlation between anxiety levels and MetS (r = 0.353, P < 0.001). Multivariate logistic regression revealed that anxiety (possible anxiety vs no anxiety: odds ratio [OR] = 2.982, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.295–6.969; definite anxiety vs no anxiety: OR = 14.573, 95%CI 3.675–57.788; P < 0.001) and BMI (OR = 1.504, 95% CI 1.275–1.774; P < 0.001) were possible risk factors for MetS. Soil moisture (SM) is a key variable in Earth system science that affects various hydrological and agricultural processes. Convolutional long short-term memory (Conv-LSTM) networks are widely used deep learning models for spatio-temporal SM prediction, but they are often regarded as black boxes that lack interpretability and transparency. This study aims to interpret Conv-LSTM for spatio-temporal SM prediction in China, using the permutation importance and smooth gradient methods for global and local interpretation, respectively. The trained Conv-LSTM model achieved a high R2 of 0.92. The global interpretation revealed that precipitation and soil properties are the most important factors affecting SM prediction. Furthermore, the local interpretation showed that the seasonality of variables was more evident in the high-latitude regions, but their effects were stronger in low-latitude regions. Overall, this study provides a novel approach to enhance the trust-building for Conv-LSTM models and to demonstrate the potential of artificial intelligence-assisted Earth system modeling and understanding element prediction in the future. The Chinese tongue sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis) is a traditional, precious fish in China. Due to the large growth difference between males and females, the investigation of their sex determination and differentiation mechanisms receives a great deal of attention. Forkhead Box O (FoxO) plays versatile roles in the regulation of sex differentiation and reproduction. Our recent transcriptomic analysis has shown that foxo genes may participate in the male differentiation and spermatogenesis of Chinese tongue sole. In this study, six Csfoxo members (Csfoxo1a, Csfoxo3a, Csfoxo3b, Csfoxo4, Csfoxo6-like, and Csfoxo1a-like) were identified. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that these six members were clustered into four groups corresponding to their denomination. The expression patterns of the gonads at different developmental stages were further analyzed. All members showed high levels of expression in the early stages (before 6 months post-hatching), and this expression was male-biased. In addition, promoter analysis found that the addition of C/EBPα and c-Jun transcription factors enhanced the transcriptional activities of Csfoxo1a, Csfoxo3a, Csfoxo3b, and Csfoxo4. The siRNA-mediated knockdown of the Csfoxo1a, Csfoxo3a, and Csfoxo3b genes in the testicular cell line of Chinese tongue sole affected the expression of genes related to sex differentiation and spermatogenesis. Due to the explosive increase per capita in vehicle ownership in China brought about by the continuous development of the economy and society, many negative impacts have arisen, making it necessary to establish the smart city system that has rapidly developing vehicle detection technology as its data acquisition system. This paper proposes a lightweight detection model based on an improved version of YOLOv5 to address the problem of missed and false detections caused by occlusion during rush hour vehicle detection in surveillance videos. The proposed model replaces the BottleneckCSP structure with the Ghostnet structure and prunes the network model to speed up inference. Additionally, the Coordinate Attention Mechanism is introduced to enhance the network's feature extraction and improve its detection and recognition ability. Distance-IoU Non-Maximum Suppression replaces Non-Maximum Suppression to address the issue of false detection and omission when detecting congested targets. Lastly, the combination of the five-frame differential method with VIBE and MD-SILBP operators is used to enhance the model's feature extraction capabilities for vehicle contours. The experimental results show that the proposed model outperforms the original model in terms of the number of parameters, inference ability, and accuracy when applied to both the expanded UA-DETRAC and a self-built dataset. The particle number size distribution (PNSD) and hygroscopicity on alpine sites can directly reflect the interaction between aerosol and cloud in the free troposphere, and narrow the errors caused by extrapolation from the ground observation. In this study, PNSD and cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) concentration (NCCN) were observed at the summit of Mt. Hua from December 16, 2020, to January 23, 2021. The result showed that the modes and hygroscopicity parameters (κ) of aerosols were significantly affected by the height and direction of the originated air masses. The particle in nucleation mode from new particle formation erupted frequently in 13:00–18:00 local time due to the intense photochemistry and had a potential contribution to CCN through the process of the growth with the ratio of 0.83 nm·h−1, which was affected by air masses, meteorological conditions, and gaseous pollutants. Subsequently, the hygroscopicity κ varied from 0.22 to 0.13 with the supersaturation from 0.2% to 1.0% as more components that were difficult to dissolve or had low hygroscopicity. The comprehensive analysis of PNSD and hygroscopicity showed that smaller k from two‐parameter power model corresponded to particles with higher hygroscopicity or larger diameter, while larger k matched to the hydrophobic or ultrafine particles. In addition, the interactions between aerosol and cloud were estimated more accurately and the uncertainty of indirect effect was shrunk. Overall, we provided insights into PNSD and hygroscopicity of alpine aerosol particles by direct observation on Mt. Hua, which may be important to other elevated regions as well. Background: As one of the most common causes of stroke, symptomatic intracranial artery stenosis (sICAS) is a great threat to public health, and its financial burden is substantial, with annual direct high medical costs particularly in China. Currently, the long-term use of conventional dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) as the primary modality of treatment for sICAS decreases the risk of stroke recurrence but increases the risk of bleeding. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of low dose aspirin plus clopidogrel for the treatment of sICAS in the elderly population. Methods: This randomized, controlled study included 181 older patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA) or ischemic stroke (IS) attributed to sICAS, who were recruited between April 2015 and November 2020. The 90 patients assigned to the low dose therapy group included aspirin, 75mg, plus clopidogrel, 50mg, daily for 90 and 91 patients assigned to the conventional group included aspirin, 100mg, plus clopidogrel, 75mg, daily for 90 days (aspirin or clopidogrel alone daily thereafter) were included in this intention-to-treat analysis. Efficacy and safety analyses were done in this trial. Results: One hundred eighty-one eligible elderly patients with sICAS were enrolled in this trial. The median age was 70 years ranged 60-83 years. Seventy-five participants were with TIA and 106 with IS. The median time of follow-up was 30 months ranged 1-36 months. Ninety patients were assigned randomly to the low dose group and 91 patients to the conventional group. The rate of primary, secondary and composite efficacy were not significantly different between the low dose and conventional group (P > 0.05). The rate of composite safety outcome was 7.8% (7/90) in the low dose group, which was lower than 17.6% (16/91) in the conventional group (χ² = 3.921, P = 0.048). At the time of last follow-up, 17 (9.4%) of 181 patients developed GI injuries, which occurred in four (4.4%) of 90 patients in the low dose group and in 13 (14.3%) of 91 patients in the conventional group (χ² = 4.058, P = 0.044). The primary efficacy outcome occurred in six (18.2%) of 33 patients with severe sICAS and in 22 (38.6%) of 57 patients with moderate sICAS (χ² = 4.064, P = 0.044) in the low dose group. Conclusion: In this study, the safety of lowdose aspirin combined with clopidogrel proved to be equally efficient and significantly safer than those of conventional dose within 24months in elderly patients with sICAS.However, the small size of this study limits the validity of the results. Background: More attention has been put on the relationship between pediatric glomerular disease and respiratory tract virus infection. Children with glomerular illness, however, are uncommonly found to have biopsy-proven pathological evidence of viral infection. The purpose of this study is to determine whether and what kind of respiratory viruses are found in renal biopsy from glomerular disorders. Methods: We used a multiplex PCR to identify a wide range of respiratory tract viruses in the renal biopsy samples (n = 45) from children with glomerular disorders and a specific PCR to verify their expression. Results: These case series included 45 of 47 renal biopsy specimens, with 37.8% of male and 62.2% of female patients. Indications for a kidney biopsy were present in all of the individuals. In 80% of the samples, respiratory syncytial virus was discovered. Following that, the RSV subtypes in several pediatric renal disorders were found. There were 16 RSVA positives, 5 RSVB positives, and 15 RSVA/B positives, accounting for 44.4%, 13.9%, and 41.7%, respectively. Nephrotic syndrome samples made up 62.5% of RSVA positive specimens. The RSVA/B-positive was detected in all pathological histological types. Conclusions: Patients with glomerular disease exhibit respiratory tract viral expression in the renal tissues, especially respiratory syncytial virus. This research offers new information on the detection of respiratory tract viruses in renal tissue, which may facilitate the identification and treatment of pediatric glomerular diseases. This study aimed to investigate the current situation regarding fertility intentions, parenting attitudes, and fear of childbirth among college students in mainland China and the factors related to these variables. A cross-sectional study Colleges across China Five hundred and eighty-three college students attending regular institutions of higher education Fertility intentions and fear of childbirth were measured using the Swedish Fertility Awareness Questionnaire and the Childbirth Fear Prior to Pregnancy scale. Only 38.8% of participants expressed their willingness to have children, and there was a significant difference between male and female students (P <.02). Males regarded having children as more important (P <.01), and females were more concerned about the negative effects of becoming parents, including difficulties in the labor market, having less freedom, and having less money. When deciding whether to have children, factors such as work, economics, and childcare were more important to females. Students who did not want children had higher levels of fear of childbirth than those who wanted children or were unsure (P <.02). The fertility intentions of college students were not optimistic. In addition to the 2-child Chinese fertility policy, interventions aimed at reducing the cost of raising children, eliminating gender inequality in the workplace, and normalizing childcare institutions might help alleviate conflict between work and childrearing. The uncertainty from the under-estimation and over-estimation of forest aboveground biomass (AGB) is an urgent problem in optical remote sensing estimation. In order to more accurately estimate the AGB of Pinus densata forests in Shangri-La City, we mainly discuss three non-parametric models—the artificial neural network (ANN), random forests (RFs), and the quantile regression neural network (QRNN) based on 146 sample plots and Sentinel-2 images in Shangri-La City, China. Moreover, we selected the corresponding optical quartile models with the lowest mean error at each AGB segment to combine as the best QRNN (QRNNb). The results showed that: (1) for the whole biomass segment, the QRNNb has the best fitting performance compared with the ANN and RFs, the ANN has the lowest R2 (0.602) and the highest RMSE (48.180 Mg/ha), and the difference between the QRNNb and RFs is not apparent. (2) For the different biomass segments, the QRNNb has a better performance. Especially when AGB is lower than 40 Mg/ha, the QRNNb has the highest R2 of 0.961 and the lowest RMSE of 1.733 (Mg/ha). Meanwhile, when AGB is larger than 160 Mg/ha, the QRNNb has the highest R2 of 0.867 and the lowest RMSE of 18.203 Mg/ha. This indicates that the QRNNb is more robust and can improve the over-estimation and under-estimation in AGB estimation. This means that the QRNNb combined with the optimal quantile model of each biomass segment provides a method with more potential for reducing the uncertainties in AGB estimation using optical remote sensing images. The aim of the current study was to analyse the distribution of antimicrobial drug resistance (AMR) among Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa, PA) isolates from Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital (GDPH) from 2017 to 2021, and the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on changes in the clinical distribution and drug resistance rate of P. aeruginosa to establish guidelines for empiric therapy. Electronic clinical data registry records from 2017 to 2021 were retrospectively analysed to study the AMR among P. aeruginosa strains from GDPH. The strains were identified by VITEK 2 Compact and MALDI-TOF MS, MIC method or Kirby–Bauer method for antibiotic susceptibility testing. The results were interpreted according to the CLSI 2020 standard, and the data were analysed using WHONET 5.6 and SPSS 23.0 software. A total of 3036 P. aeruginosa strains were detected in the hospital from 2017 to 2021, and they were primarily distributed in the ICU (n = 1207, 39.8%). The most frequent specimens were respiratory tract samples (59.6%). The detection rate for P. aeruginosa in 5 years was highest in September, and the population distribution was primarily male(68.2%). For the trend in the drug resistance rate, the 5-year drug resistance rate of imipenem (22.4%), aztreonam (21.5%) and meropenem (19.3%) remained at high levels. The resistance rate of cefepime decreased from 9.4% to 4.8%, showing a decreasing trend year by year (p < 0.001). The antibiotics with low resistance rates were aminoglycoside antibiotics, which were gentamicin (4.4%), tobramycin (4.3%), and amikacin (1.4%), but amikacin showed an increasing trend year by year (p = 0.008). Our analysis indicated that the detection rate of clinically resistant P. aeruginosa strains showed an upwards trend, and the number of multidrug-resistant (MDR) strains increased year by year, which will lead to stronger pathogenicity and mortality. However, after the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, the growth trend in the number of MDR bacteria slowed, presumably due to the strict epidemic prevention and control measures in China. This observation suggests that we should reasonably use antibiotics and treatment programs in the prevention and control of P. aeruginosa infection. Additionally, health prevention and control after the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic (such as wearing masks, washing hands with disinfectant, etc., which reduced the prevalence of drug resistance) led to a slowdown in the growth of the drug resistance rate of P. aeruginosa in hospitals, effectively reducing the occurrence and development of drug resistance, and saving patient's treatment costs and time. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of transcranial magnetic stimulation in improving cerebellar ataxia. Data sources: PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Springer, Science Direct, the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and the China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP) were searched until 2022. Review methods: Trials with transcranial magnetic stimulation on the effects on cerebellar ataxia were included, and the effect size was evaluated using the standardized mean difference (SMD) or mean difference (MD) and a 95% confidence interval (CI). Results: Eight studies comprising 272 participants, published between 2014 and 2022, were included. The results revealed that the effect of TMS on patients with cerebellar ataxia as assessed by the International Cooperative Ataxia Rating Scale (ICRAS), the Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA), the Berg Balance Scale (BBS), and the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test was statistically significant (P < 0.01) with low heterogeneity among the studies (I2 = 4, 27, 0, and 0% respectively). Conclusion: The effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation in improving cerebellar ataxia in the affected patients are significant. TMS targeting the cerebellar structures can induce changes in the excitability of the cerebellar-thalamus-cortical pathways; thus, it is necessary to carry out large-scale research with good design and high quality in the future. Granite is the main carrier of geothermal energy of hot dry rock. Therefore, the study of influence of different temperatures on the physical-mechanical properties and energy evolution characteristics of granite after high temperature treatment is an important way to guide the successful exploitation of hot dry rock geothermal resources. Physical tests and uniaxial compression tests were carried out on granite after high temperature treatment ranging from 25-350 °C. The results show that change rates in volume, mass, density, P-wave velocity and porosity of granite increase with increasing temperature. The research results can provide basic data support for the safe and efficient development of hot dry rock in China, and also develop the theory of high temperature rock mechanics. African swine fever virus (ASFV) is a highly infectious viral pathogen that endangers the global pig industry, and no effective vaccine is available thus far. The CD2v protein is a glycoprotein on the outer envelope of ASFV, which mediates the transmission of the virus in the blood and recognition of the virus serotype, playing an important role in ASFV vaccine development and disease prevention. Here, we generated two specific monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), 6C11 and 8F12 (subtype IgG1/kappa-type), against the ASFV CD2v extracellular domain (CD2v-ex, GenBank: MK128995.1, 1–588 bp) and characterized their specificity. Peptide scanning technology was used to identify the epitopes recognized by mAbs 6C11 and 8F12. As a result, two novel B cell epitopes, 38DINGVSWN45 and 134GTNTNIY140, were defined. Amino acid sequence alignment showed that the defined epitopes were conserved in all referenced ASFV strains from various regions of China including the highly pathogenic, epidemic strain, Georgia2007/1 (NC_044959.2), with the same noted substitutions compared to the four foreign ASFV wild-type strains. This study provides important reference values for the design and development of an ASFV vaccine and useful biological materials for the functional study of the CD2v protein by deletion analysis.
