With the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which is prepared within the body of UNESCO, it is aimed to safeguard cultural heritage. It is advocated that the safeguarding of cultural heritage can be achieved by promotion and viability. It is thought that promoting the cultural heritage can be the solution to the uniformization problem in the culture that emerged as a result of globalization Researchers in many disciplines are responsible for the viability and preservation of cultural heritage with the expression "guaranteeing viability" in the Convention. Cultural heritage is also an important issue for the tourism area. Many studies have been carried out in the field of tourism and cultural heritage in recent years. Culture, history and natural environment are the main sources of tourism. In order to alleviate the concerns regarding the commodification of culture and nature, there is a need to increase the cooperation of culture and tourism. In recent years, the World Tourism Organization has speeded up its activities in this direction and determined the principles of sustainable tourism. The World Tourism Organization has prepared meetings and organized reports on tourism and cultural synergy. With the development of responsible tourism understanding, it is aimed that the benefits to be gained from tourism will benefit all stakeholders by thinking about the next generations. It is tried to be emphasized that tourism is not just a consumption tool, it is a power that increases awareness of cultural values. Creating a cultural route evaluated within cultural tourism serves the purposes of protecting cultural heritage, knowing its value and keeping it alive as well as creating a tourism product. Cultural routes try to realize the promotion and promotion of cultural heritage in a sustainability approach. Turkey also signed the "Council of Europe Cultural Routes Program" aiming to ensure the protection and promotion of cultural heritage. There is a good deal of cultural potential that is flying under the program in Turkey. There are good examples in the world where cultural routes created and managed with the concept of sustainability are used to protect and sustain cultural heritage. It was observed that the areas that are not suitable for the cultural route, although they were put into practice, could not show continuity. When determining the routes, they should be selected according to the correct criteria. In this study, Evliya Çelebi's travel to İzmir was examined as a cultural route by using the "Cultural Route Evaluation Model" developed by Bozic and Tomic (2016: 28). Evliya Çelebi guides today's travelers with the writings about the climate, geography, structures, daily life and stories of the places that have traveled and traveled in a wide geography for more than 50 years in the 17th century. Preserving many historical artifacts in Evliya Çelebi's Seyahatname enables the development of the cultural route. Stories about natural beauty and talismans on the route create tourist attraction. In the cultural route evaluation model, besides tourism-specific elements, there are scientific studies, route-specific values, economic importance, precautions and protection measures. It was seen that Evliya Çelebi's İzmir journey is suitable for developing a cultural route according to all the elements that make up the cultural route valuation model. It is suggested that a consortium can be proposed to realize the Evliya Çelebi İzmir Route and manage it with a sustainable understanding. While capitalism seized domination around the world, it divided nations into two separate poles, exploiters and exploited, and transformed almost all resources on earth from exploitation to natural resources into exploitation. According to the Dependency Theory, one of the most important elements of this exploitation emerges as the tourism sector today. Accordingly, Western central countries impose mass tourism, under their hegemony, while imposing mass tourism to underdeveloped and developing neighboring countries to reproduce their dependent positions. In this study, in order to reveal that encouraged what kind of advertising monitors tourism in Turkey, JollyTur and EtsTur travel agency of internet advertising which they have issued during the year 2019 were analyzed by quantitative content analysis method. In the analysis made, it was found that both travel agencies place massive advertising on the theme of mass tourism, they limit their understanding of tourism almost entirely to the sea-sand-sun trio and ignore cultural tourism. It is concluded that the travel agencies mentioned through the visual and textual repetitions of the categories determined for analysis restrict cultural tourism to the main location and activity and encourage the audience to mass tourism. Social transformations of our age reform production and consumption relations. Being social institutions, libraries are also affected by this transformation. In this respect, it is required to rehandle and improve the traditional library concept attached on public libraries in Turkey, and to diversify their current functions. The Ministry of Culture launched the Project of Literature Musem Libraries in order to contribute to literature production and literary appeal in Turkey through libraries. Besides their feature as a cultural meeting point to inspire literary life, literature museum libraries also contribute to embracing Turkey's cultural heritage and improving cultural tourism in Turkey. Tourism, which is one of the most important sectors in today's world, displays a parallel process with the social and economic structures of societies. From this perspective, the interest of people may change from sunlight, beach, sand, shortly sea tourism, to eco tourism and cultural tourism. Noise pollution resulting from urban life and population density may have played part in this. Interest in cultural heritage tourism increases day by day especially among those people with higher level of income. Safranbolu, one of the well-protected examples of Turkish urban history, is a peculiar settlement with its wooden, stone, and sun-dried brick constructed carcass houses, mosques, fountains, khans, baths and traditional city structure in our country, all of which is a land to be protected. UNESCU, believing that these peculiarities are important for the whole world, included Safranbolu in World Heritage List in 1994. Such settlements reflecting traditional architecture are open to the threat of urbanization. However, in the case of Safranbolu, the plateau on which the historical settlement called Çarşı was located, has been protected because of its not being suitable for the addition of new settlements. This has helped protection of cultural heritage, mainly houses. Especially after 1975, with protective consciousness, these houses have been restored and put in the service of tourism. It is not surprising that Japans, who are known to have respect for their traditions, take the first place among people who visit Safranbolu. The fact that the use of wood is a mutual feature although architecture is different must have affected their preference. Safranbolu's becoming a centre of attraction for cultural tourism became a model for some settlements like Beypazarı. Townspeople, local administration and vocational college have their shares in Safranbolu's success. Yet, the uncontrolled utilization of structures of cultural heritage for hotel, motel and pension cause the loss of their originality. In this article, the importance of transport sector are determined and interpreted in terms of cultural image studies. The starting point of this research is to examine the relationship of Inter-city bus transport/other transport vehicles and the cities images in Turkey. After classifying and examining the names, marketing slogans and images of the bus companies, this article aims to review the applications to benefit from the memory of city. And also, the application forms to benefit from local natural (geographical structure, agriculture and livestock etc.) historical and cultural heritage are cleared up carefully. It is pointed out the attractiveness and availability of local intangible cultural heritage including folk dance, music, architecture, cuisine, crafts and peak figures etc. for these applications. Discussing that the registration of geographical indications and the protection of intellectual property and traditional knowledge is very important is another topic of this study. Furthermore the importance of the cultural image studies, cultural memory and the design activities for the creation and development of city brand, urban culture/memory/identity is emphasized in detail. These images dressed in the busses are very important for the safeguarding and development of local natural, historical and cultural heritage. In this study, the impacts of global financial crisis that emerged in the USA on the touristic facilities have been examined. To this end, in September 2010, a questionnaire was conducted to tourism facilities in Bartın and Karabük (particularly Safranbolu) districts, which are both outstanding cities in the West Black Sea Region for cultural tourism; and face-to-face interviewing method was used in this questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed with SPSS 18, a widely used analysis for data analysis in social sciences. The results showed that the touristic facilities in the region are affected from the financial crisis however; this impact is not on a destructive level. Also according to the data obtained from the questionnaire, facilities with more rooms are less affected from the crisis when compared to facilities with fewer rooms. Contrary to popular belief it is ascertained that demands of foreign tourists (particularly Japanese) to the region did not decrease during the crisis. No significant difference was ascertained between the education levels of facility executives and their level of being affected by the crisis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Culture gains new meanings and functions along with the change of life. Because of this, culture should be studied with comparative approaches. The relationship between tourism and literature is a main issue of comparative and cultural studies focusing the cross fields and becoming clear as a multi-disciplinary social science. The aim of this paper is to search this relationship including many subjects. In this paper, "the connections of the rise of tourism and literature, the importance of tourism as a dynamic that improves literature, touristic image design utilizing literary memory or heritage, the function of the media for this connection ect." are debated with different approaches. Literary works is one of the main dynamics that improves cultural tourism. A city or a country can become the center of the cultural tourism through the literary Works. With the works of writers or the poets the cities or the countries can easily be the trademarks of the world's cultural tourism. These works helps the constructing process of the images and identities.
