Simple Summary: This study investigates racial disparities in the stage of gastric cancer at diagnosis and overall survival among different racial groups using data from the SEER database (2018–2021). The retrospective cohort study of 18,984 patients found that Hispanics are 19% more likely to be diagnosed at a later stage of gastric cancer compared to non-Hispanics. Additionally, both Hispanics and Black patients showed poorer overall survival compared to Non-Hispanic Whites. The disparities are attributed to factors such as healthcare access, insurance coverage, language barriers, and preventive health service utilization. These findings highlight the need for targeted interventions to address these disparities in cancer outcomes. Patients and methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study using SEER data from 2018 to 2021, including 18,984 patients diagnosed with gastric cancer. Patients were selected based on ICD-O-3 codes for "stomach" with malignant behavior. Using ordered logistic regression, the association between race and stage at diagnosis was analyzed, while Cox proportional hazards models were used to assess OS and CSS. Results: Hispanic patients were significantly more likely to be diagnosed at a later stage compared to non-Hispanic patients (OR: 1.19; 95% CI: 1.10–1.28). Both Hispanic and Black patients had worse OS compared to Non-Hispanic Whites (HR 1.10 CI 1.03–1.17, p = 0.003 and HR 1.13 CI 1.04–1.22, p = 0.002, respectively) as well as CSS. Conclusions: Hispanic patients are more likely to be diagnosed with advanced-stage gastric cancer and have poorer survival outcomes compared to non-Hispanic Whites. Background: Bariatric surgery offers effective treatment for morbid obesity and associated medical comorbidities, with excellent short- and long-term outcomes. Although it has been well documented that racial minority bariatric patients have worse outcomes than White patients, it remains unclear whether this recognition has led to improvement. Herein, we assess recent trends in bariatric surgery among Black and White patients and compare early postoperative outcomes by race. Methods: Primary sleeve gastrectomy (SG) and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) patients from 2015 to 2021 reported to the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program were studied. Bariatric patients were stratified by race (Black and White) and perioperative outcomes were compared between matched Black and White patients. Primary outcome was 30-day mortality. Secondary outcomes included hospital readmissions, hospital length of stay (LOS), reoperation, and postoperative complications. Results: Overall, there were 193,071 Black and 645,224 White primary bariatric patients, with a higher volume of SG and RGYB performed among White patients. A total of 219,566 Black and White bariatric patients were matched and included in the case–control. Black patients were found to have higher rates of 30-day mortality (0.02% vs. 0.01%; p = 0.03) and readmissions (3.68% vs. 2.65%; p < 0.001). There were no significant differences in LOS, reoperations, or overall postoperative complications. However, there was a higher postoperative pulmonary thromboembolism rate (0.16% vs 0.08%; p < 0.001).). The differences in perioperative outcomes stratified by race persisted over the study period (Fig. 1). Conclusion: Black bariatric surgery patients continue to have worse perioperative outcomes compared with their White counterparts. In light of the Minamata Convention on Mercury and efforts to phase down dental amalgam use, tracking dental amalgam proportions across US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)–identified at-risk populations is of interest to optimize material selection aligned with patient needs. A retrospective observational study of Epic's Cosmos electronic health records data set was conducted to calculate the rates of dental amalgam restorations from 2017 through 2023 and stratified using the social vulnerability index (quartile 4 indicates the highest social vulnerability and quartile 1 indicates the lowest) and payer type (Medicare, Medicaid, self-pay, miscellaneous or other). The authors included the following FDA-identified at-risk populations: pregnant people, children younger than 6 years, people with preexisting neurologic conditions, and people with impaired kidney function (n = 1,897,976). The overall rate of dental amalgam restoration placements in the general population declined from 21.8% in 2017 to 4.1% in 2023. Dental amalgam restoration trends, according to social vulnerability index quartile and payer type, decreased consistently across all 4 evaluated populations. Of all the social vulnerability index quartiles, quartile 4, representing the most socially vulnerable group, had the smallest decrease in dental amalgam placement rates among the FDA-identified populations examined. The study results showed a decreasing trend in dental amalgam restorations from 2017 through 2023 among FDA-identified populations, consistent with the Minamata Convention on Mercury directive for a phasedown in dental amalgam use. Notwithstanding improvements, lingering disparities persist among the most vulnerable population. Background: Incorporating post-discharge data into trauma registries would allow for better research on patient outcomes, including disparities in outcomes. This pilot study tested a follow-up data collection process to be incorporated into existing trauma care systems, prioritizing low-cost automated response modalities. Methods: This investigation was part of a larger study that consisted of two protocols with two distinct cohorts of participants who experienced traumatic injury. Participants in both protocols were asked to provide phone, email, text, and mail contact information to complete follow-up surveys assessing patient-reported outcomes six months after injury. To increase follow-up response rates between protocol 1 and protocol 2, the study team modified the contact procedures for the protocol 2 cohort. Frequency distributions were utilized to report the frequency of follow-up response modalities and overall response rates in both protocols. Results: A total of 178 individuals responded to the 6-month follow-up survey: 88 in protocol 1 and 90 in protocol 2. After implementing new follow-up contact procedures in protocol 2 that relied more heavily on the use of automated modalities (e.g., email and text messages), the response rate increased by 17.9 percentage points. The primary response modality shifted from phone (72.7%) in protocol 1 to the combination of email (47.8%) and text (14.4%) in protocol 2. Conclusions: Results from this investigation suggest that follow-up data can feasibly be collected from trauma patients. Use of automated follow-up methods holds promise to expand longitudinal data in the national trauma registry and broaden the understanding of disparities in patient experiences. Cancer is the top leading cause of death among Latino people. Lack of health insurance is a significant contributor to inadequate cancer detection and treatment. Despite healthcare policy expansions such as the Affordable Care Act, Latino people persistently maintain the highest uninsured rate among any ethnic and racial group in the US, especially among Latino individuals who are immigrants or part of a mixed immigration status household. Recognizing that immigration status is a critical factor in the ability of Latino community members to seek health insurance and access healthcare services, a few US states and the District of Columbia have implemented policies that have expanded coverage to children and adults regardless of immigration status. Expansion of Medicaid eligibility regardless of immigration status may significantly benefit Latino communities, however the facilitators and barriers to enrolling in these programs need to be evaluated to ensure reach and achieve health equity across the cancer control continuum for all Latinos. Objective: To identify and disseminate research priorities for the headache field that should be areas of research focus during the next 10 years. Background: Establishing research priorities helps focus and synergize the work of headache investigators, allowing them to reach the most important research goals more efficiently and completely. Methods: The Headache Research Priorities organizing and executive committees and working group chairs led a multistakeholder and international group of experts to develop headache research priorities. The research priorities were developed and reviewed by clinicians, scientists, people with headache, representatives from headache organizations, health‐care industry representatives, and the public. Priorities were revised and finalized after receiving feedback from members of the research priorities working groups and after a public comment period. Results: Twenty‐five research priorities across eight categories were identified: human models, animal models, pathophysiology, diagnosis and management, treatment, inequities and disparities, research workforce development, and quality of life. The priorities address research models and methods, development and optimization of outcome measures and endpoints, pain and non‐pain symptoms of primary and secondary headaches, investigations into mechanisms underlying headache attacks and chronification of headache disorders, treatment optimization, research workforce recruitment, development, expansion, and support, and inequities and disparities in the headache field. The priorities are focused enough that they help to guide headache research and broad enough that they are widely applicable to multiple headache types and various research methods. Conclusions: These research priorities serve as guidance for headache investigators when planning their research studies and as benchmarks by which the headache field can measure its progress over time. These priorities will need updating as research goals are met and new priorities arise. Plain Language Summary: The American Headache Society led a large, international, multistakeholder process to identify headache research topics that should be prioritized during the next 10 years. With input from headache clinicians, scientists, people with headache, representatives from headache organizations, health‐care industry representatives, and the public, 25 research priorities within 8 categories were identified. Background: The COVID-19 pandemic brought greater focus to the rural mortality penalty in the U.S., which describes the greater mortality rate in rural compared to urban areas. Although it is widely thought that issues such as access to care, age structure of the population, and differences in behavior are likely drivers of the rural mortality penalty, few studies have attempted to tie delayed access to care in rural populations to healthcare outcomes quantitatively. Therefore, it is critical to try and understand these factors to enable more effective public health policy. Methods: We performed a cross-sectional analysis of a population of patients with COVID-19 who were admitted to hospitals in the United States between 3/1/2020 and 2/26/2023 to better understand factors leading to outcome disparities amongst groups that all had some level of access to hospital care. Nevertheless, it is widely thought that rural populations often experience delayed access to care, due to transportation and other constraints. Therefore, we hypothesized that deteriorated patient condition at admission likely explained some of the observed difference in mortality between rural and urban populations. Results: Our results supported our hypothesis, showing that the rural mortality penalty persists in this population and that by multiple measures, rural patients were likely to be admitted in worse condition, had worse overall health, and were older. Conclusions: Although the pandemic threw the rural mortality penalty into sharp relief, it is important to remember that it existed prior to the pandemic and will continue to exist until effective interventions are implemented. This study demonstrates the critical need to address the underlying factors that resulted in rural-dwelling patients being admitted to the hospital in worse condition than their urban-dwelling counterparts during the COVID-19 pandemic, which likely affected other healthcare outcomes as well. Background Growing evidence indicates antimicrobial resistance disproportionately affects individuals living in socially vulnerable areas. This study evaluated the association between the CDC/ATSDR Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) and Streptococcus pneumoniae (SP) antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in the United States. Methods Adult patients ≥18 years with 30-day nonduplicate SP isolates from ambulatory/hospital settings from January 2011 to December 2022 with zip codes of residence were evaluated across 177 facilities in the BD Insights Research Database. Isolates were identified as SP AMR if they were non-susceptible to ≥1 antibiotic class (macrolide, tetracycline, extended-spectrum cephalosporins, or penicillin). Associations between SP AMR and SVI score (overall and themes) were evaluated using generalized estimating equations with repeated measurements within county to account for within-cluster correlations. Results Of 8008 unique SP isolates from 574 US counties across 39 states, the overall proportion of AMR was 49.9%. A significant association between socioeconomic status (SES) theme and SP AMR was detected with higher SES theme SVI score (indicating greater social vulnerability) associated with greater risk of AMR. On average, a decile increase of SES, indicating greater vulnerability, was associated with a 1.28% increased risk of AMR (95% confidence interval [CI],.61%, 1.95%; P =.0002). A decile increase of household characteristic score was associated with a 0.81% increased risk in SP AMR (95% CI,.13%, 1.49%; P =.0197). There was no association between racial/ethnic minority status, housing type and transportation theme, or overall SVI score and SP AMR. Mobile health (mHealth) screening tools for autism are gaining in prevalence, and have benefits such as video content and direct resources linkage. However, it is unclear whether such tools will ameliorate autism inequities or will help only those already advantaged in autism care. To investigate this issue, we conducted semi-structured qualitative interviews with 18 primary care and Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education providers in six US states. Providers were given hypothetical scenarios in which a family presents to care with results from one of 9 mHealth autism screening tools. Providers discussed their clinical approach and assessed the tool's fit with their patient/client population. Each transcript was audio-recorded, transcribed, and coded; a phenomenological approach was used to develop key themes. 4 themes and 18 subthemes emerged. These included Clinical and business factors (e.g. scope of practice concerns and clinical efficiency), Validity and trustworthiness (e.g. familiarity, data privacy/security), Family interaction quality (e.g. supporting family advocacy, provision of information, affecting family anxiety, and emotional support), and Accessibility (e.g. English proficiency/language issues, cultural inclusivity, and literacy/educational level). Providers suggested modifications to enhance equity, such as portraying diverse families, reducing the reading level of text, and making tools shorter to better fit clinical context. Families may find information about autism online, and health care and education providers may use online tools to screen for autism. However, we do not know if online autism screening tools are easily used by families and providers. We interviewed primary care and educational providers, asking them to review results from online tools that screen for autism. We utilized national claims-based data to identify the change in odds of diagnosis of ALS following possible-ALS-symptoms-and whether the change varies in urban/rural areas. Insurance claims were obtained from the Merative MarketScan databases, 2001–2021 in the United States. Individuals with incident ALS were identified and matched on age, sex, and enrollment period to individuals without ALS. For all individuals, claims for 8 possible-ALS-symptoms in the time before any ALS diagnosis were identified. We then used conditional logistic regression to estimate the odds of being diagnosed with ALS following these symptoms and whether the association varied by urban/rural location. 19,226 individuals with ALS were matched to 96,126 controls. Patients with ALS were more likely to live in an urban area (87.0% vs 84.5%). Of those with ALS 84% had 1+ of our 8 possible-ALS-symptom compared to 51% of controls. After adjustment for confounders, having possible-ALS-symptoms increased the odds of a future ALS diagnosis by nearly 5-fold. A dose-response pattern was present with increasing odds as the number of symptoms increased. In all models, urban areas were associated with increased odds of diagnosis with ALS while the effect of having a symptom was smaller in urban places. Urban cases of ALS are diagnosed at younger ages. These results suggest symptoms may appear and be noted years before the diagnosis of ALS. Additionally, rural patients are diagnosed at later ages with a greater dependence on symptoms than urban patients. These results highlight potential improvements for screening for ALS. Purpose: Palliative care plays essential roles in cancer care. However, differences in receipt among individuals identifying as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Other Pacific Islanders (AA&NHPI) with cancer are not well-characterized, especially when these diverse groups are disaggregated. We characterized disparities in receipt of palliative care among AA&NHPI patients with AJCC Stage IV prostate, breast, or lung cancer. Methods: We performed multivariable logistic regressions were performed in this retrospective cohort analysis, using deidentified data from the National Cancer Database (NCDB) of patients diagnosed with AJCC analytic group stage IV breast, lung, or prostate cancer (2004–2018) who were White or of Asian Indian/Pakistani, Chinese, Filipino, Hawaiian, Hmong, Japanese, Kampuchean, Korean, Laotian, Other Pacific Islander, Thai, or Vietnamese descent. We conducted multivariable logistic regression analyses in a retrospective cohort study using deidentified data from the National Cancer Database (NCDB). The study included patients diagnosed with AJCC analytic group Stage IV breast, lung, or prostate cancer between 2004 and 2018, who were White or identified as Asian Indian/Pakistani, Chinese, Filipino, Hawaiian, Hmong, Japanese, Kampuchean, Korean, Laotian, Other Pacific Islander, Thai, or Vietnamese descent. Adjusted odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals of receiving palliative care were measured when comparing White vs. AA&NHPI patients as one cohort and White vs. disaggregated AA&NHPI patients, adjusting for clinical, socioeconomic, and demographic covariates. Results: Among 775,289 individuals diagnosed with cancer (median age: 68 years), no significant differences in palliative care receipt were observed between White patients and aggregated AA&NHPI patients among patients with prostate, breast, or lung cancer. However, disaggregated analyses revealed reduced palliative care receipt for breast cancer patients of Asian Indian/Pakistani descent (AOR 0.75, 95% CI, 0.60–0.94, P = 0.011) and for lung cancer patients of Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Asian Indian/Pakistani descent compared to White patients (Chinese AOR 0.88, [0.81–0.94], P = 0.001; Vietnamese AOR 0.89, [0.80 to 0.99], P = 0.032; Thai AOR 0.64, [0.44–0.92], P = 0.016; Asian Indian/Pakistani AOR 0.83, [0.74–0.93], P = 0.001). Palliative care was greater for patients of Japanese and Hawaiian descent with prostate cancer (Japanese AOR 1.92, [1.32–2.75], P = 0.001; Hawaiian AOR 2.09, [1.20–3.66], P = 0.009), breast cancer (Japanese AOR 1.72, [1.21–2.43], P = 0.001; Hawaiian AOR 1.70, [1.08–2.67], P = 0.021), and lung cancer (Japanese AOR 1.92, [1.70–2.17], P < 0.001; Hawaiian AOR 2.95, [2.5–3.5], P < 0.001), as well as patients of Other Pacific Islander descent with lung cancer (AOR 1.62, [1.34–1.96], P < 0.001). Conclusions and relevance: Our findings demonstrate disparities in receipt of palliative care upon disaggregation of diverse AA&NHPI groups, the need for disaggregated research and targeted interventions that address the unique cultural, socioeconomic, and healthcare system barriers to palliative care receipt. Objectives: The Three Delays model is a well‐established global public health framework for the utilization of obstetric services where each delay represents a series of factors affecting utilization: (1) Delay #1—Deciding to seek care, (2) Delay #2—Reaching an appropriate facility and (3) Delay #3—Receiving adequate care. The aim of this qualitative study was to explore the application of the Three Delays model to dental service utilization and describe factors attributed to delayed utilization within this framework. Methods: This study utilized a framework analysis, underpinned by the Three Delays model, to examine delays in dental care utilization. A criterion purposive sample of English‐speaking adults (18+ years) in Massachusetts and Florida, USA with limited dental care access was recruited. Data were collected via semi‐structured interviews conducted in two phases: 17 individual interviews, followed by interviews with a subset of five participants over 3 months (a total of 18 interviews). The analysis involved inductive thematic coding and systematic organization within the framework. Results: Major themes and subthemes were constructed from the participants' narratives, identified and categorized as factors in the Three Delays framework. Each of the delays was interrelated to the other two, and Delay #1 was the most common delay based on the participants' interviews. The themes and subthemes contributing to one or more delays included interpersonal communication, prior dental experience, financial considerations, childcare costs, social connection, technology literacy, time constraints, competing priorities, stressors such as eviction and immigration status and microaggressions including racism and stigma. Conclusion: The Three Delays model was applicable to the study of dental care utilization and factors that impact the decision to seek dental care, reaching an appropriate dental facility and receiving adequate dental care in this study context. Stillbirth is far too common, occurring in millions of pregnancies per year globally. The rate of stillbirth (defined as death of a fetus prior to birth at 20 weeks' gestation or more) in the United States is 5.73 per 1000. This is approximately 1 in 175 pregnancies accounting for about 21,000 stillbirths per year. Although rates are much higher in low-income countries, the stillbirth rate in the United States is much higher than most high resource countries. Moreover, there are substantial disparities in stillbirth, with rates twice as high for non-Hispanic Black and Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islanders compared to non-Hispanic Whites. There is considerable opportunity for reduction in stillbirths, even in high resource countries such as the United States. In this article, we review the epidemiology, risk factors, causes, evaluation, medical and emotional management, and prevention of stillbirth. Despite an equal willingness to participate in clinical trials, there is evidence that several minority populations are systematically under-represented in studies. One potential cause and frequently used exclusionary criterion in orthopedic trials is patients with active workman's compensation (WC) insurance claims. The purpose of this study is to determine demographic differences in patients undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair with commercial and government insurance vs workers compensation claims. This was a retrospective review of patients who underwent primary arthroscopic rotator cuff repair at a single institution in the northeastern United States from 2018 to 2019. Patients undergoing revision cases were excluded. Chart review was used to extract demographic data such as age, gender, insurance, and reported race. A total of 4553 patient records were reviewed and included. There were 742 WC patients and 3811 non-WC patients. Two hundred and forty-four patients did not report their race. Overall, WC patients differed from non-WC with respect to race (P < 0.001). One hundred and eleven (15.0%) of WC and 293 (7.7%) non-WC patients reported being 'Black' or 'African American' (P = 0.002). This compares to 368 (49.6%) WC and 2788 (73.2%) non-WC patients who reported 'White' (P < 0.001). About 16.8% of WC patients were identified as 'Hispanic or Latino,' compared to 5.2% of non-WC (P < 0.001). African American and Hispanic/Latino patients are over-represented in workman's compensation patient populations relative to non-workman's compensation. Conversely, white patients are over-represented in non-WC patient populations, which serve as the basis for the majority of clinical study populations. Excluding workman's compensation patients from clinical trials may lead to an underrepresentation of African American and Hispanic/Latino patient populations in orthopedic clinical trials. In doing so, the generalizability of the results of rotator cuff repair clinical outcomes research to all races and ethnicities may be compromised. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Low socioeconomic status based on neighborhood of residence has been suggested to be associated with poor outcomes after total joint arthroplasty (TJA). The area deprivation index (ADI) is a scale that ranks (zero to 100) neighborhoods by increasing socioeconomic disadvantage and accounts for median income, housing type, and family structure. We sought to examine the potential differences between high (national median ADI = 47) and low ADI among TJA recipients at a single institution. Specifically, we assessed: (1) 30-day emergency department visits/readmissions; (2) 90-day and 1-year revisions; as well as (3) medical and surgical complications. Methods: A consecutive series of primary TJAs from September 21, 2015, through December 29, 2021, at a tertiary healthcare system were reviewed. A total of 3,024 patients who had complete ADI data were included. Patients were divided into groups below the national median ADI of 47 (n = 1,896) and above (n = 1,128). Multivariable regressions to determine independent risk factors accounting for ADI, race, age, sex, American Society of Anesthesiologists Classification grade, body mass index, diabetes, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, alcohol abuse, substance abuse, and tobacco use. The primary outcomes of interest include evaluation of the independent association of ADI with total postoperative complications (at 30 days, 90 days, and 1 year) after adjusting for multiple relevant cofactors. Results: After adjusting for multiple relevant cofactors, at 90 days, ADI > 47 (OR, 1.36, 95% CI 1.00–1.83, P = 0.04), men versus women (OR, 0.73, 95% CI 0.54–0.99, P = 0.039), and CHF (OR, 1.90, 95% CI 1.18–3.06, P = 0.009) were independently associated with increased total complications. The ADI was not associated with increased total complications at 30 days or 1-year (All P > 0.05). Conclusion: Our findings of higher complications of the ADI > 47 cohort at 90 days, reaffirm the complex relationship between ADI, patient demographics, and additional socioeconomic parameters that may influence postoperative outcomes and complications after TJA. Introduction: Equity-oriented efforts to mitigate and prevent COVID-related disparities are hindered due to methodological limitations of the categorization of racial and ethnic groups, including Arabs and Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) communities, which remain invisible in national data collection efforts. This study highlights the disparities in COVID-related outcomes in Toronto, Canada and supports ongoing calls to collect public health data among MENA communities in the United States. Methods: Data on racial/ethnic identity and hospitalizations were collected by the Toronto Public Health (TPH) of the Ontario Ministry of Public Health Case between May 20, 2020, and September 30, 2021 from people with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19. Results: The reported COVID-19 infection rate for Arab, Middle Eastern, West Asians (i.e., categories used to self-identify as MENA in Canada) relative to Whites in Toronto was 3.51. The age-standardized hospitalization rate ratio between Arab, Middle Eastern, West Asians and Whites was 4.59. Discussion: Data from Toronto highlight that Arab, Middle Eastern, and West Asians have higher rates of COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations than their White counterparts. Comparable studies are currently not possible in the United States due to lack of data that can disaggregate MENA individuals. Although non-accidental trauma continues to be a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among children in the United States, the underlying factors leading to NAT are not well characterized. We aim to review reporting practices, clinical outcomes, and associated disparities among pediatric trauma patients experiencing NAT. A literature search utilizing PubMed, Google Scholar, EMBASE, ProQuest, and Cochrane was conducted from database inception until April 6, 2023. This review includes studies that assessed pediatric (age <18) trauma patients treated for NAT in the United States emergency departments. The evaluated outcome was in-hospital mortality rates stratified by race, age, sex, insurance status, and socioeconomic advantage. The literature search yielded 2641 initial articles, and after screening and applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 15 articles remained. African American pediatric trauma patients diagnosed with NAT had higher mortality odds than white patients, even when adjusting for comparable injury severity. Children older than 12 mo experienced higher mortality rates compared to those younger than 12 mo, although some studies did not find a significant association between age and mortality. Uninsured insurance status was associated with the highest mortality rate, followed by Medicaid and private insurance. No significant association between sex and mortality or socioeconomic advantage and mortality was observed. Findings showed higher in-hospital mortality among African American pediatric trauma patients experiencing child abuse, and in patients 12 mo or older. Colon cancer (CC) is one of the most common cancers among South Asian Americans (SAAs). The objective of this study was to measure differences in risk-adjusted survival among SAAs with CC compared to non-Hispanic Whites (NHWs) using a representative national dataset from the United States. A retrospective analysis of patients with CC in the National Cancer Database (2004-2020) was performed. Differences in presentation, management, median overall survival (OS), three-year survival, and five-year survival between SAAs and NHWs were compared. Kaplan–Meier analysis and multivariable Cox regression were used to assess differences in survival outcomes, adjusting for demographics, presentation, and treatments received. Data from 2873 SAA and 639,488 NHW patients with CC were analyzed. SAAs were younger at diagnosis (62.2 versus 69.5 y, P < 0.001), higher stage (stage III [29.0% versus 26.2%, P = 0.001] or Stage IV [21.4% versus 20.0%, P = 0.001]), and experienced delays to first treatment (SAA 5.9% versus 4.9%, P = 0.003). SAAs with CC had higher OS (median not achieved versus 68.1 mo for NHWs), three-year survival (76.3% versus 63.4%), and five-year survival (69.1% versus 52.9%). On multivariable Cox regression, SAAs with CC had a lower risk of death across all stages (hazard ratio: 0.64, P < 0.001). In this national study, SAA patients with CC presented earlier in life with more advanced disease, and a higher proportion experienced treatment delay compared to NHW patients. Background Contemporary data on the quantity and quality of medication use among older adults are lacking. This study examined recent trends in the number and appropriateness of prescription medication use among older adults in the United States. Methods Data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 2011 and March 2020 were used, and 6 336 adult participants aged 65 and older were included. We examined the number of prescription medication, prevalence of polypharmacy (≥5 prescription drugs), use of potentially inappropriate medication (PIM), and use of recommended medications (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor [ACEI]/angiotensin receptor blockers [ARBs] plus beta-blockers among patients with heart failure and ACEI/ARBs among patients with albuminuria). Results There has been a slight increase in the prevalence of polypharmacy (39.3% in 2011–2012 to 43.8% in 2017–2020, p for trend = .32). Antihypertensive, antihyperlipidemic, antidiabetic medications, and antidepressants are the most commonly used medications. There was no substantial change in the use of PIM (17.0% to 14.7%). Less than 50% of older adults with heart failure received ACEI/ARBs plus beta-blockers (44.3% in 2017–2020) and approximately 50% of patients with albuminuria received ACEI/ARBs (54.0% in 2017–2020), with no improvement over the study period. Polypharmacy, older age, female, and lower socioeconomic status were generally associated with greater use of PIM but lower use of recommended medications. Conclusions The medication burden remained high among older adults in the United States and the appropriate utilization of medications did not improve in the recent decade. Clinical Scenario: Delay in surgery for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries increases the risk of complications including secondary injuries. Previous research has shown individuals with public insurance have greater delays in care for a variety of health conditions. Clinical Question: In pediatric patients with ACL injuries, is the time from injury to surgery longer for patients with public insurance than patients with private insurance? Summary of Key Findings: Four studies met the inclusion criteria. All studies reported a greater wait time for surgery in pediatric patients with public insurance. Clinical Bottom Line: There is moderate evidence indicating that there is a delay in ACL surgery for pediatric patients with public insurance compared to those with private insurance. Strength of Recommendation: Grade B evidence exists that there is a delay in surgery for ACL injuries in pediatric patients with public insurance compared to those with private insurance. Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death in the United States. However, disparities in CVD-related morbidity and mortality exist as marginalized racial and ethnic groups are generally at higher risk for CVDs (Black Americans, Indigenous People, South and Southeast Asians, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders) and/or development of traditional CVD risk factors (groups above plus Hispanics/Latinos) relative to non-Hispanic Whites (NHW). In this comprehensive review, we outline emerging evidence suggesting these groups experience accelerated arterial dysfunction, including vascular endothelial dysfunction and large elastic artery stiffening, a nontraditional CVD risk factor that may predict risk of CVDs in these groups with advancing age. Adverse exposures to social determinants of health (SDOH), specifically lower socioeconomic status (SES), are exacerbated in most of these groups (except South Asians—higher SES) and may be a potential mediator of accelerated arterial aging. SES negatively influences the ability of marginalized racial and ethnic groups to meet aerobic exercise guidelines, the first-line strategy to improve arterial function, due to increased barriers, such as time and financial constraints, lack of motivation, facility access, and health education, to performing conventional aerobic exercise. Thus, identifying alternative interventions to conventional aerobic exercise that 1) overcome these common barriers and 2) target the biological mechanisms of aging to improve arterial function may be an effective, alternative method to aerobic exercise to ameliorate accelerated arterial aging and reduce CVD risk. Chronic lower respiratory disease (CLRD) related mortality has decreased in the United States due to increasing awareness in the general population and advancing preventative efforts, diagnostic measures, and treatment. However, demographic and regional differences still persist throughout the United States. In this study, we analyzed the temporal trends of demographic and geographical differences in CLRD-related mortality. Data was extracted from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Wide-Ranging Online Data for Epidemiologic Research (CDC WONDER) database. Using this data, age-adjusted mortality rates per 100,000 people (AAMR), annual percentage change (APC), and average annual percentage changes with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were assessed. The Joinpoint Regression Program was used to determine mortality trends between 1999 and 2020 based on demographic and regional groups. During this study period, there were 3,064,049 CLRD-related deaths, with most demographics and regional areas showing an overall decreasing trend. However, higher mortality rates were seen in the non-Hispanic White population and rural areas. Interestingly, mortality rates witnessed a decreasing trend for males throughout the study duration compared to females, who only began to show decreases in mortality during the latter half of the 2010s. Objectives Methods Results Conclusions The Asian American (AsA) population is at high risk for poor oral health outcomes and remains an underserved and understudied community. Low oral health literacy could explain poor oral health behaviours, practices and outcomes in this population. The aims were as follows: (i) provide a scoping review of oral health literacy, knowledge, practice and beliefs among AsA individuals residing in the United States; (ii) identify any instruments or tools translated into participants' language and (iii) determine whether the translated instruments had been assessed for validity and reliability.The current study used a scoping review framework based on PRISMA‐ScR that included rigorous eligibility criteria, search strategy, independent selection process with adjudication, and standardized reporting of outcomes. The search was conducted on March 14, 2022, and updated on February 25, 2023 and February 13, 2024, in the following databases: Ovid MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science and CINAHL.Peer‐reviewed original research on oral health literacy, knowledge, awareness, practice, and beliefs related to oral health care in AsA subgroups published in English were included.Two reviewers independently assessed whether titles and abstracts should be included for review, with discrepancies adjudicated by a third reviewer. Data extracted from articles used a standard template that included study design, and measurement tools of oral health, knowledge, awareness, practice and beliefs, as well as results and conclusions of the publication. In addition, the template captured whether the translated and original measurement tools were assessed for reliability and validity.Of the 367 papers identified, 10 studies that met eligibility criteria were included in the final review. Of these, four studies used previously validated tools to assess oral health measurements in AsA. Only five of the studies translated the tools into the participants' native language. Although AsA exhibited lower oral health literacy than Whites but higher than Hispanics and African Americans, none of the translated tools were assessed for reliability and validity. Acculturation and country of birth were factors influencing oral health behaviours related to good oral health practice and utilization, with AsA born in the United States exhibiting higher oral health utilization than those born in their country of origin. Oral health beliefs played a significant role in dental care utilization among AsA populations.The scoping review on oral health in Asian American communities identifies a significant research gap, particularly in the lack of validated tools for assessing oral health literacy, which varies across ethnic groups. It notes that AsA generally have lower oral health literacy compared to Whites, but higher than Hispanics and African Americans. Given varied insurance acceptances and differing pay between insurances, our objective was to examine the number of California physicians enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid (Medi-Cal), stratified by specialty and graduation year. Medi-Cal and Medicare providers were extracted from publicly available databases (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and California Health and Human Services) and were subsequently merged into one dataset using National Provider Identifier. From there, we stratified physicians by specialty and graduation year. We found that emergency medicine, radiology, pathology, anesthesiology, general surgery, and internal medicine had the highest percent of Medi-Cal-accepting physicians, whereas dermatology, psychiatry, physical medicine & rehabilitation, and plastic & reconstructive surgery physicians had the lowest. There also appears to be an inverse relationship between acceptance of Medi-Cal and earlier year of graduation (P < 0.05). This study demonstrated striking variability in Medi-Cal acceptance based upon physician years in practice and specialty. Despite consensus on the importance of early detection and intervention for autistic children, health disparities exist, limiting access to timely services. One specific service type in the United States is Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part C Early Intervention programs, which are federally funded interventions for children birth-to-three with developmental delays. This study aimed to assess access to Part C, Early Intervention services for children who were evaluated for autism spectrum disorder and to examine factors that predicted parent-reported access to these services. This study extracted sociodemographic and service access data from the medical records of 709 children aged 12–40 months who were evaluated for autism spectrum disorder. Results showed that only 50% of the sample had reportedly accessed Part C, Early Intervention services. Those who identified as Black had decreased odds of having accessed Part C, Early Intervention, relative to those who identified as White, while those with a lower age of first parent concern had increased odds of having accessed Part C, Early Intervention. When inputting the independently significant variables into the model, both variables, identifying as Black and a lower age of first concern, remained significantly associated with accessing Part C, Early Intervention. Future work should investigate how these disparities come to be. Health disparities are defined as preventable differences in the opportunities to achieve optimal health outcomes experienced by marginalized and underrepresented communities. For families with autistic children, health disparities limit accessing early intervention services—which have been found to improve quality of life and other outcomes. One specific early intervention service in the United States is Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part C Early Intervention programs, which are federally funded interventions for children birth-to-three with developmental delays. This study adds to this topic by examining which factors impact accessing Part C, Early Intervention services for children who were evaluated for autism. Simple Summary: Helicobacter pylori (H. Pylori) eradication has been the mainstream for preventing and treating gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. Prior studies have shown variations in the eradication rates of H. Pylori in the US. This can influence gastric MALT lymphoma occurrence and outcomes. Therefore, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of incidence and mortality rates of gastric MALT lymphoma in different demographic-specific populations. We found that gastric MALT lymphoma incidence rates have been decreasing in the US over the past two decades. This decline was observed in both sexes, various age groups, and all race/ethnic populations except Black individuals. The decrease was also seen in early-stage tumors but not in late-stage tumors. Mortality analysis showed decreasing mortality in males, older adults, early-stage tumors, and most race/ethnic groups but not in females, younger adults, Black individuals, or late-stage tumors, which had non-decreasing rates. Our findings hold important public health implications and encourage further investigations of gastric MALT lymphoma risk factors, including disparities in H. There are limited data on the incidence and mortality rates and trends of gastric MALT lymphoma in the US. Therefore, the aim of the current study was to conduct a time-trend analysis of gastric MALT lymphoma incidence and mortality rates in different populations. Methods: The incidence rates of gastric MALT lymphoma were calculated from the United States Cancer Statistics (USCS) database (which covers nearly 98% of the US population) between 2001–2020 and were age-adjusted to the standard 2000 US population using SEER*Stat software (version 8.4.3, national cancer institute "NCI"). Incidence-based mortality (IBM) rates, also age-adjusted to the standard 2000 US population, were calculated from the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database. Tumor location was specified using ICD-O-3 codes C 160–C 169 with malignant behavior. Histopathology was specified using the ICD-O-3 code 9699. The rates were categorized by sex, age, race/ethnicity, and tumor stage at diagnosis. Age groups were older adults (aged 55 years or older) and younger adults (aged younger than 55 years). Race/ethnic groups included Non-Hispanic White (White), Non-Hispanic Black (Black), Hispanic, Non-Hispanic Asian/Pacific Islander (API), and Non-Hispanic American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN), as reported in the database. Stage at diagnosis included early stage (in situ and localized tumors) and late stage (regional and distant site tumors). Joinpoint Regression Software (version 5.0.2, NCI) using the weighted Bayesian Information Criteria method was used to generate time trends. Trends were reported as annual percentage change (APC) and average APC (AAPC). Parametric estimations were used with a two-sided t-test to evaluate the trends with a p-value cutoff at 0.05. Results: There were 21,625 patients diagnosed with gastric MALT lymphoma in the US between 2001 and 2020. Overall, incidence rates were significantly decreasing over the study period (AAPC = −1.93). This decrease was seen in males (AAPC = −1.67) and in females (AAPC = −1.66) (Figure). When categorized by age groups, older adults also experienced a significant decrease in gastric MALT lymphoma incidence rates (AAPC = −1.66). While this was also seen in younger adults, the rates were decreasing at a slower pace (AAPC = −1.38). When categorizing the trends by race/ethnicity, incidence rates were significantly decreasing in White (AAPC = −2.09), Hispanic (AAPC = −1.61), and API (AAPC = −3.92) populations. However, the rates were stable among Blacks. While early-stage tumors experienced a significant decrease (AAPC = −1.10), the rates were stable for late-stage tumors. When evaluating mortality, there were 11,036 patients whose death was attributed to gastric MALT lymphoma between 2000 and 2020. IBM rates were decreasing in males (AAPC = −1.47), older adults (AAPC = −1.55), Whites (AAPC = −1.23), Hispanics (AAPC = −1.73), APIs (AAPC = −2.30), and early-stage tumors (AAPC = −1.08). On the other hand, IBM rates were stable in females, younger adults, Blacks, and late-stage tumors. Discussion: An extensive nationwide data analysis encompassing nearly 98% of patients diagnosed with gastric MALT lymphoma in the US unveils a declining trend in the incidence of cancer overall over the past two decades. This decline is observed in both sexes and various age groups. When stratifying by race and ethnicity, this incidence has been decreasing in all populations except among Black individuals. While early-stage tumors have also demonstrated a significant decrease in incidence rates, late-stage tumors have shown no parallel decline. Mortality evaluation also revealed an improvement in most of the US population except among females, younger adults, Black individuals, and late-stage tumors. While the cause of our findings is unclear, it could be driven by disproportionate exposure to risk factors, including H. Pylori, and disparities in screening, management, and outcomes. Context: To address the considerable burden of mental health need in the United States, Congress passed the National Suicide Hotline Designation Act in 2020. The act rebranded the national suicide prevention lifeline as 988, a three-digit number akin to 911 for individuals to call in the case of a mental health emergency. Surprisingly little is known about American attitudes toward this new lifeline. Methods: The authors use a demographically representative survey of 5,482 US adults conducted June 24–28, 2022, to examine the influence of mental health status, partisan identification, and demographic characteristics on public awareness of the new 988 lifeline, public support for the lifeline, and intention to use it. Findings: The authors find that while only a quarter of Americans are aware of the lifeline, support for the 988 lifeline is widespread, with more than 75% of Americans indicating they would be likely to use the new number if needed. The authors identify key disparities in awareness, support, and intended use, with Republicans, individuals with low socioeconomic status, and Blacks less supportive of the 988 lifeline and in some cases less likely to use it. Conclusions: The results point to the need for additional interventions that increase public awareness of 988 and reduce disparities in program knowledge, support, and intention to use. Greater educational attainment is generally associated with healthier and longer lives. However, important heterogeneity in who benefits from educational attainment, how much, and why remains underexplored. In particular, in the United States, the physical health returns to educational attainment are not as large for minoritized racial and ethnic groups compared with individuals racialized as White. Yet, our current understanding of ethnoracial differences in educational health disparities is limited by an almost exclusive focus on the quantity of education attained without sufficient attention to heterogeneity within educational attainment categories, such as different institution types among college graduates. Using biomarker data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (Add Health), we test whether the physical health of college graduates in early adulthood (aged 24–32) varies by institution type and for White, Black, and Hispanic adults. In considering the role of the college context, we conceptualize postsecondary institutions as horizontally stratified and racialized institutional spaces with different implications for the health of their graduates. Finally, we quantify the role of differential attendance at and returns to postsecondary institution type in shaping ethnoracialized health disparities among college graduates in early adulthood. Introduction:The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented change to the health care industry, including a large and rapid shift to providing care through telehealth technologies. Although the expansion of telehealth services was successful in continuing to provide patients with care while preventing the spread of disease, it is less clear how patient sociodemographic characteristics influenced telehealth use during this time. This study aims to systematically review the published literature on demographic differences in telehealth access, utilization, and health outcomes among a variety of adult patient types in the United States. Methods:Litcovid, PubMed, Web of Science, and MEDLINE databases were searched, resulting in a final sample of n = 32 studies. Results:Results found that studies could be categorized as addressing at least one of eight different areas of inquiry: sociodemographic differences in telehealth use (1) during and (2) before the pandemic, telehealth use versus nonuse (3) during and (4) before the pandemic, (5) telehealth modality, (6) satisfaction with telehealth, (7) outcomes associated with telehealth use, and (8) perceived or actual access to telehealth services. Discussion:Findings are robust across included studies with respect to racial, age, and socioeconomic differences in telehealth utilization and health outcomes, reflecting sociodemographic differences in health care access, utilization, and outcomes more broadly that persist despite this expansion of telehealth services owing to COVID-19. Cancer and cardiovascular disease (CVD) are major causes of morbidity and mortality in the United States (US). Cancer survivors have increased risks for CVD and CVD-related mortality due to multiple factors including cancer treatment-related cardiotoxicity. Disparities are rooted in differential exposure to risk factors and social determinants of health (SDOH), including systemic racism. This review aimed to assess SDOH's role in disparities, document CVD-related disparities among US cancer survivors, and identify literature gaps for future research. Following the Peer Review of Electronic Search Strategies (PRESS) guidelines, MEDLINE, PsycINFO, and Scopus were searched on March 15, 2021, with an update conducted on September 26, 2023. Articles screening was performed using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) 2020, a pre-defined Population , Exposure, Comparison, Outcomes, and Settings (PECOS) framework, and the Rayyan platform. A modified version of the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale was used to assess the risk of bias, and RAW Graphs for alluvial charts. This review is registered with PROSPERO under ID #CRD42021236460. Out of 7,719 retrieved articles, 24 were included, and discussed diverse SDOH that contribute to CVD-related disparities among cancer survivors. The 24 included studies had a large combined total sample size (n=7,704,645; median=19,707). While various disparities have been investigated, including rural–urban, sex, socioeconomic status, and age, a notable observation is that non-Hispanic Black cancer survivors experience disproportionately adverse CVD outcomes when compared to non-Hispanic White survivors. This underscores historical racism and discrimination against non-Hispanic Black individuals as fundamental drivers of CVD-related disparities. Stakeholders should work to eliminate the root causes of disparities. Clinicians should increase screening for risk factors that exacerbate CVD-related disparities among cancer survivors. Researchers should prioritise the investigation of systemic factors driving disparities in cancer and CVD and develop innovative interventions to mitigate risk in cancer survivors. Simple Summary: Colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the US. Lately, there has been a rise in colorectal cancer in younger patients; however, there is a paucity of data on geographical variations of early-onset colorectal cancer in the US. Thus, our study aimed to evaluate the temporal change in early-onset colorectal cancer incidence rates in different regions in the US and assess these trends by sex and histopathological subtypes. We analyzed data from 2001 to 2020 from the United States Cancer Statistics database, which encompasses nearly 98% of the US population. Our results demonstrated that early-onset colorectal cancer incidence rates and time trends increased in men and women across different regions in the US, with the steepest increase noted in the west and the least in the south. These findings persisted across both main colorectal cancer histopathological subtypes (adenocarcinoma and neuroendocrine tumors) with neuroendocrine tumors showing a more pronounced increase compared to adenocarcinoma, especially in the west and northeast. Our findings hold public health implications prompting healthcare policies and future research to investigate any disproportional exposure to region-specific risk factors over the past two decades in the US, especially in western regions. Hence, our study aims to analyze time trends in EO-CRC incidence rates across various US regions and to assess these trends by sex and histopathological subtypes (ADC and NET). Methods: We analyze data spanning from 2001 to 2020 from the United States Cancer Statistics (USCS) database, covering nearly 98% of the US population. Using SEER*Stat software version (8.4.2, NCI), we calculated EO-CRC incidence rates among adults aged 20–54 years, adjusting for the age standard 2000 US population. The rates were categorized by sex and US geographical regions into west, midwest, northeast, and south. Time trends, reported as annual percentage change (APC) and average APC (AAPC), were generated via Joinpoint Regression software (v.5.0.2, NCI) utilizing the weighted Bayesian Information Criteria "BIC" method to generate the best-fit trends with a two-sided p-value cutoff at 0.05. The rates were also stratified by histopathology into ADC and NET. Results: Between 2001 and 2020, a total of 514,875 individuals were diagnosed with early-onset CRC in the US, with 54.78% being men. Incidence rates and trends varied across geographical regions. In the western region (comprising 106,685 patients, 54.85% men), incidence rates significantly increased in both women (AAPC = 1.37, p < 0.001) and men (AAPC = 1.34, p < 0.001). Similarly, in the midwestern region (with 110,380 patients, 55.46% men), there were significant increases in incidence rates among women (AAPC = 1.06, p < 0.001) and men (AAPC = 1.35, p < 0.001). The northeastern region (with 94,758 patients, 54.53% men) also witnessed significant increases in incidence rates for both women (AAPC = 0.71, p < 0.001) and men (AAPC = 0.84, p < 0.001). In contrast, the southern region (with 203,052 patients, 54.48% men) experienced slower increases in incidence rates among both women and men (AAPC = 0.25, p < 0.05 in women; AAPC = 0.66, p < 0.05 in men). When stratified by histopathology, incidence rates for adenocarcinomas (ADC) increased in all regions, most notably in the west (AAPC = 1.45, p < 0.05), and least in the south (AAPC = 0.46, p < 0.05). Conversely, for neuroendocrine tumors (NET), while incidence rates increased similarly across all regions, the pace was notably faster compared to ADC, particularly in the west (AAPC = 3.26, p < 0.05) and slower in the south (AAPC = 2.24, p < 0.05) Discussion: Our analysis of nationwide US data spanning two decades and encompassing over half a million early-onset CRC patients, representing nearly 98% of the US population, highlights significant temporal variation in incidence rates across various geographical regions. The most substantial increases in incidence rates were observed in the west, while the least pronounced changes were noted in the south, affecting both men and women. These trends persisted across the main CRC histopathological subtypes, with NET exhibiting a notably swifter pace of increase compared with ADC. These findings hold important implications for public health strategies and underscore the need for targeted interventions to address the rising burden of early-onset CRC across different regions in the US. The fourth wave of the United States overdose crisis—driven by the polysubstance use of fentanyl with stimulants and other synthetic substances—has driven sharply escalating racial/ethnic inequalities in drug overdose death rates. Here the authors present a detailed portrait of the latest overdose trends and synthesize the literature to describe where, how, and why these inequalities are worsening. By 2022 overdose deaths among Native and Black Americans rose to 1.8 and 1.4 times the rate seen among White Americans, respectively. This reflects that Black and Native Americans have been disproportionately affected by fentanyl and the combination of fentanyl and stimulants at the national level and in virtually every state. The highest overdose deaths rates are currently seen among Black Americans 55–64 years of age as well as younger cohorts of Native Americans 25–44 years of age. In 2022—the latest year of data available—deaths among White Americans decreased relative to 2021, whereas rates among all other groups assessed continued to rise. Moving forward, Fundamental Cause Theory shows us a relevant universal truth of implementation science: in socially unequal societies, new technologies typically end up favoring more privileged groups first, thereby widening inequalities unless underlying social inequalities are addressed. Therefore, interventions designed to reduce addiction and overdose death rates that are not explicitly designed to also improve racial/ethnic inequalities will often unintentionally end up worsening them. Well-funded community-based programs, with Black and Native leadership, providing harm reduction resources, naloxone, and medications for opioid use disorder in the context of comprehensive, culturally appropriate healthcare and other services, represent the highest priority interventions to decrease inequalities. Early evidence suggests that declining cervical cancer incidence reversed in low‐income regions in the United States in recent years; however, it is unclear whether there are distinct patterns by race/ethnicity and stage at diagnosis and if the increase has translated into rising mortality. Using Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results data, we evaluated trends in hysterectomy‐corrected cervical cancer incidence rates (2000–2019) and mortality rates (2005–2019) by county‐level income and race/ethnicity, with further stratification of incidence by stage at diagnosis. Following a period of decline, hysterectomy‐corrected cervical cancer incidence increased 1.0%/year (95% CI = 0.1% to 4.5%) among Non‐Hispanic White women in low‐income counties. Particularly, a statistically significant 4.4%/year (95% CI = 1.7% to 7.5%) increase in distant‐stage cancer occurred in this group. Additionally, recent increases in cervical cancer mortality (1.1%/year [95% CI = −1.4% to 3.7%]) were observed among this group and Non‐Hispanic Black women in low‐income counties (2.9%/year [95% CI = −2.3% to 18.2%]), but trends were not statistically significant. Among Hispanic women in low‐income counties, distant‐stage cervical cancer incidence increased 1.5%/year (95% CI = −0.6% to 4.1%), albeit not statistically significant. The increasing incidence of distant‐stage cervical cancer and mortality in specific racial/ethnic groups suggests that the recent introduction of higher sensitivity screening tests may not explain increasing trends in low‐income counties. Our findings suggest that the observed rise in cervical cancer incidence may reflect disruptions along the screening and treatment continuum. Future research to further comprehend these trends and continued enhancements in prevention are crucial to combat rising cervical cancer incidence and mortality in low‐income counties in the United States. The Disparities in Assisted Reproductive Technology (DART) hypothesis, initially described in 2013 and further modified in 2022, is a conceptual framework to examine the scope and depth of underlying contributing factors to the differences in access and treatment outcomes for racial and ethnic minorities undergoing ART in the United States. In 2009, the World Health Organization defined infertility as a disease of the reproductive system, thus recognizing it as a medical problem warranting treatment. Now, infertility care is largely recognized as a human right. However, disparities in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) care in the US persist today. While several studies and review articles have suggested possible solutions to racial and ethnic disparities in access and outcomes in ART, few have accounted for and addressed the multiple complex factors contributing to these disparities on a systemic level. This review aims to acknowledge and address the myriad of contributing factors through the DART hypothesis which converge in racial/ethnic disparities in ART and considers possible solutions to effect large scale societal change by narrowing these gaps within the next decade. Background An increased pertussis burden has been demonstrated among Hispanic or Latino and American Indian or Alaska Native (AI/AN) infants. However, data on potential disparities among other age and racial groups are limited. Methods We analyzed pertussis cases reported through Enhanced Pertussis Surveillance from 2010 to 2017. Pertussis and severe pertussis incidence were calculated by race (White, Black or African American, AI/AN, and Asian or Pacific Islanders), ethnicity (Hispanic or Latino and non-Hispanic or non-Latino), and age. Results Compared with White persons, overall incidence was lower among Black or African American (incidence rate ratio [IRR],.57; 95% confidence interval [CI],.53-.61), AI/AN (IRR, 0.65; 95% CI,.58-.72), and Asian or Pacific Islander persons (IRR, 0.39; 95% CI,.35-.43). Overall incidence of pertussis was higher (1.5-fold; 95% CI, 1.37-1.60) among Hispanic or Latino compared with non-Hispanic or non-Latino adults, potentially related to household size or lower pertussis vaccine uptake among adult Hispanic or Latino cases. Severe pertussis incidence was similar among Black or African American and AI/AN persons compared with White persons. Among infants, severe pertussis incidence was 1.4-fold higher (95% CI, 1.03-1.82) among Black or African American infants than among White infants, and 2.1-fold higher (95% CI, 1.67-2.57) among Hispanic or Latino infants than non-Hispanic or non-Latino infants. Conclusions The contrast between lower reported incidence but similar or higher severe pertussis incidence among Black or African American and AI/AN persons compared with White persons warrants further investigation and may reflect underdiagnosis or underreporting of mild disease. The COVID-19 pandemic changed the setting of education for many children in the U.S. Understanding COVID-19 vaccination coverage by educational setting is important for developing targeted messages, increasing parents' confidence in COVID-19 vaccines, and protecting all children from severe effects of COVID-19 infection. Using data from the Household Pulse Survey (n = 25,173) collected from December 9–19, 2022, January 4–16, 2023, and February 1–13, 2023, this study assessed factors associated with COVID-19 vaccination and reasons for non-vaccination among school-aged children 5–11 and adolescents 12–17 by educational setting. Among children 5–11 years, COVID-19 vaccination coverage was higher among those who received in-person instruction (53.7%) compared to those who were homeschooled (32.5%). Furthermore, among adolescents 12–17 years, COVID-19 vaccination coverage was higher among those who received in-person instruction (73.5%) or virtual/online instruction (70.1%) compared to those who were homeschooled (51.0%). Children and adolescents were more likely to be vaccinated if the parental respondent had been vaccinated compared to those who had not. Among children and adolescents who were homeschooled, main reasons for non-vaccination were concern about side effects (45.4–51.6%), lack of trust in COVID-19 vaccines (45.0–50.9%), and lack of trust in the government (32.7–39.2%). Children and adolescents who were home-schooled during the pandemic had lower vaccination coverage than those who attended school in person, and adolescents who were home-schooled had lower vaccination coverage than those who received virtual instruction. Based on the reasons for non-vaccination identified in this study, increasing parental confidence in vaccines, and reducing barriers to access are important for supporting COVID-19 vaccination for school-age children. Burn injuries remain a significant source of trauma in the United States and disproportionately affect racial and ethnic minorities. Although disparities are well documented in adults, less is known regarding those in pediatric populations. To address this gap in literature, we aim to better characterize burn injuries, inpatient treatments, and post-discharge outcomes in minority pediatric burn patients. We hypothesize minority patients undergo more surgery and re-admissions than non-minority patients for burn care. This is a single institution retrospective chart review of pediatric patient admissions with burn injuries from July 1st, 2016 to July 1st, 2021. Demographics, details of injury, inpatient surgical and non-surgical care, and post-discharge outcomes were collected. Patients identifying as Hispanic/Latino, Black, and Asian were coded as minority patients. Univariate analysis was utilized. A total of 332 patients with average age of 4.9 years (SD: 4.4) and average total burn surface area (TBSA) of 8.5% (SD: 10.0) were collected. Minority patients were significantly more likely to experience accidental burn injury (p < 0.01), inhalational injury (p < 0.01), surgical management (p < 0.01), and to undergo skin graft (p < 0.01) than White patients. Minority patients were significantly more likely to undergo laser treatment after discharge (p < 0.01) than White patients. Our study shows minority pediatric patients are at risk for non-intentional burn injuries that undergo surgical management such as skin grafting and longitudinal reconstructive procedures including laser therapy more often. • Kindergarteners with disabilities versus those without are more chronically absent. • Chronic absence disparities are driven by socioecological factors. • Approaches to learning and internalizing behaviors drives much of the disparity. • Addressing systemic inequities that underlie internalizing behaviors could help reduce the gap. The disparity in absenteeism between kindergarteners with and without disabilities is a persistent phenomenon across schools in the United States and reflects ongoing systemic inequities that disadvantage young children with disabilities. Yet, evidence of factors underlying this disparity remains less well understood, limiting the ability for schools to transform how they support students with disabilities in ways that could help narrow the disparity. In our study, we investigate how a set of factors, grounded in a socioecological framework of absenteeism, correlates with chronic absenteeism in kindergarteners with and without disabilities. Importantly, we examine the extent to which distributional differences in these factors between children with and without disabilities explain the attendance disparity. Our study draws upon a nationally representative sample of N = 13,860 kindergarteners (52 % male, 48 % female, M age = 5.5 years, n = 1240 with disabilities) from the Early Childhood Longitudinal Survey Kindergarten Class of 2010–11. We analyze our data using multiple logistic regression to identify significant factors that correlate with chronic absenteeism and leverage the Kitagawa-Blinder-Oaxaca decomposition method to describe how distributional differences in those factors contribute to absenteeism disparities. Results show that internalizing behaviors in students with disabilities and their parents' health are significantly associated with chronic absenteeism as well as help explain the disparity (12 % and 3 % of the disparity, respectively). Importantly, since differences in internalizing behaviors can be generated, in part, by school practices and policies that treat early elementary students with disabilities inequitably, our work suggests that reducing gaps in early absenteeism may require schools to reduce exposure to experiences that can lead to internalizing problem behaviors in young children with disabilities. The release of the 2022 Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) exam passage rate report confirmed what many test takers who failed their exam believe. The ASWB exams are biased, with differential passage rates based on the test taker's race, age, and "English as a second language" status. However, the report only offered basic descriptive statistics and lacked insight into the test takers' experience. The present study addresses this gap. Results are from a 2022 survey of individuals who had taken the ASWB master's level licensing exam (N = 1,045) highlighting test taker identity and experience. Thirty percent of the study sample identified as neurodivergent, 29.1 percent as primary caregivers, and 27.1 percent as Black, Indigenous, or persons of color. White respondents had the highest first-attempt passing rates (95.7 percent), followed by Latinx and Black respondents (84.9 percent and 78.2 percent, respectively). Forty-four respondents reported taking the test three or more times before passing. Among this group, 52 percent identified as Black, 25 percent as White, and 18 percent as Latinx. Respondents were asked how they felt their identity impacted their experience, and three interrelated themes emerged: privilege, challenges, and critique of the exam. Respondents discussed the impact of having or not having privilege; the emotional, physical, and financial challenges of preparing for the exam; and the ways in which they experienced the exam as biased. Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the association of race/ethnicity, patient care experiences (PCEs), and receipt of definitive treatment and treatment modality among older adults in the United States (US) with localized prostate cancer (PCa). Methods: Using Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results dataset linked to Medicare Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (SEER-CAHPS) for 2007–2015, we identified men aged ≥ 65 years who completed a CAHPS survey within one year before and one year after PCa diagnosis. Associations of race/ethnicity (non-Hispanic White (NHW), non-Hispanic Black (NHB), Hispanic, non-Hispanic Asian (NHA), and other) and of interactions between race/ethnicity and PCEs (getting needed care, getting care quickly, doctor communication, and care coordination) with the receipt of definitive PCa treatment and treatment modality within 3 and 6 months of diagnosis were examined using logistic regressions. Results: Among 1,438 PCa survivors, no racial/ethnic disparities in the receipt of definitive treatment were identified. However, NHB patients were less likely to receive surgery (vs. radiation) within 3 and 6 months of PCa diagnosis than NHW patients (OR 0.397, p = 0.006 and OR 0.419, p = 0.005), respectively. Among NHA patients, a 1-point higher score for getting care quickly was associated with lower odds (OR 0.981, p = 0.043) of receiving definitive treatment within 3 months of PCa diagnosis, whereas among NHB patients, a 1-point higher score for doctor communication was associated with higher odds (OR 1.023, p = 0.039) of receiving definitive treatment within 6 months of PCa diagnosis. Discussion: We observed differential associations between PCEs and receipt of definitive treatment based on patient race/ethnicity. Further research is needed to explore these associations. INTRODUCTION: Executive functioning and processing speed are crucial elements of neuropsychological assessment. To meet the needs of the Hispanic/Latino population, we aimed to provide normative data for the Digit Symbol Substitution (DSS) test. METHODS: The target population for the Study of Latinos‐Investigation of Neurocognitive Aging included six heritage backgrounds (n = 6177). Average age was 63.4 ± 8.3 years, 54.5% were female, and mean education was 11.0 ± 4.7 years. Participants were administered the DSS as part of a larger battery. Heritage‐adjusted DSS scores, and percentile cut‐points were created using survey‐adjusted regression and quantile regression models. RESULTS: Age, education, sex, heritage, and language preference were associated with DSS scores. DISCUSSION: Significant correlates of DSS performance should be considered when evaluating cognitive performance. Representative DSS norms for Hispanics/Latinos will advance assessment and accuracy of neurocognitive disorder diagnosis in clinical practice. To facilitate interpretation, we provide norms to reduce test biases and developed an online dashboard. Racial/ethnic disparities and inequities in regard to community crime, educational experiences and outcomes, and school safety for youth in the United States are evident; however, race/ethnicity is typically in the background of most school safety research. It is also increasingly important to center the investigation, understanding, and policy implementations that highlight the correlates, root causes, and consequences of racial/ethnic inequality in the pursuit of school safety. Seasonal Variations of Arrhythmias and Their Impact on Mortality in Cancer Patients with Health Disparities: A Propensity Score Adjusted Machine Learning Analysis of over 100 Million Hospitalizations Across 3 Years Arrhythmias are observed to increase during high influenza activity seasons (HIA, December to February) with significant clinical impact among high-risk patients, so their outcomes may be optimized through closer monitoring of these populations. It is unknown if cancer is such a risk factor. This is a retrospective analysis of arrhythmia-related mortality and the effect of health disparities in patients with cancer during HIA and non-HIA seasons in a nationally representative database. Machine learning-augmented propensity score adjusted multivariable regression (ML-PSr) was performed using the 2016-2018 National Inpatient Sample (NIS), the United States' largest all-payer hospitalized dataset. A number of 16,795,379 (18.48%) patients presented with arrhythmia of whom 3,214,914 (19.14%) were during HIA. In ML-PSr, HIA did not significantly increase the odds of arrhythmia for cancer patients (OR 1.01, 95%CI 0.99-1.03, p=0.37), but the odds of arrhythmia-related mortality were higher during HIA seasons (OR 1.19, 95%CI 1.12-1.27, p<0.001) compared to non-HIA seasons (OR 1.17, 95%CI 1.13-1.22, p<0.001). Primary malignancies with the highest prevalence of arrhythmias during HIA were that of the lung (19.60%), leukemia (11.49%), non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) (8.24%), prostate (8.15%), and multiple myeloma (MM) (6.21%) (p<0.001). HIA increased arrhythmia-related mortality most for the following primary malignancies by year: gastrointestinal in 2016 (OR 1.15, 95%CI 1.01-1.32, p=0.039), leukemia in 2017 (OR 1.31, 95%CI 1.10-1.54, p=0.002), GI in 2018 (OR 1.14, 95%CI 1.01-1.29, p=0.029), and renal in 2018 (OR 1.54, 95%CI 1.06-2.23, p=0.025). Among patients with active cancer and arrhythmia, African Americans had significantly greater mortality than Caucasians (OR 1.13, 95%CI 1.03-1.23, p=0.013), independent of socioeconomic and clinical confounders. This study suggests arrhythmia-related mortality was higher during HIA seasons compared to non-HIA seasons in cancer patients and showed notable disparities by race and worse outcomes by primary malignancy. Background: Patients with end-stage liver disease (ESLD) have a poor quality of life, which often worsens as disease severity increases. Palliative care (PC) has emerged as a management option in ESLD patients, especially for those who are not candidates for a liver transplant. Objective: To assess the associated factors and trends in PC utilization in recent years. Design: We used the 2016–2020 National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database of the United States to identify patients with decompensated cirrhosis who suffered in-hospital mortality. Information regarding patient demographics, hospital characteristics, etiology and decompensations, Elixhauser comorbidities, and interventions was collected. The multivariate regression model was used to identify factors associated with PC use. Results: Out of 98,160 patients, 52,645 patients (53.6%) received PC consultations. PC utilization increased from 49.11% in 2016 to 56.85% in 2019, with a slight decrease to 54.47% in 2020. Patients with PC use had decreased incidence of blood transfusions (28.85% vs. 36.53%, p < 0.001), endoscopy (18% vs. 20.26%, p 0.0001), liver transplantation (0.28% vs. 0.69%, p < 0.001), and mechanical ventilation (46.22% vs. 56.37%, p < 0.001). African American, Hispanic, and Asian/Pacific Islander patients had 29%, 27%, and 23% lower odds of receiving PC than White patients. Patients in the two lowest income quartiles had 12% and 22% lower odds of receiving PC compared with the highest quartile. Conclusions: PC utilization in patients with ESLD is associated with decreased invasive procedures, shorter lengths of stay, and lower hospitalization charges. Background: In the United States, health insurance coverage and quality mediate access to health care, a key social determinant of health. Objective: To perform a scoping review regarding the impact of insurance coverage and benefit design on health care access and both clinical and quality of life outcomes in people with MS (pwMS). Methods: Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) guidelines were followed. A literature search was conducted from January 2010 to February 2022. Included studies were in English, peer-reviewed, US-based, and evaluated elements of insurance and their relationship with access and quality outcomes for adult pwMS. Results: Our search identified 1619 articles, of which 32 met inclusion criteria. Privately insured pwMS were more likely to be on disease-modifying therapy (DMT). Increased out-of-pocket spending was associated with lower DMT adherence and greater discontinuation rates. Access to specialty pharmacy programs was associated with improved DMT adherence. Conclusion: Health insurance coverage and design strongly influences health care for pwMS in the United States and may be a modifiable social determinant of health. Increased pharmaceutical cost-sharing is associated with declines in DMT utilization and adherence. Introduction: The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) caused a global pandemic that emerged in 2019. During this period, a significant disparity in hospitalization and mortality rates emerged, particularly in terms of Ethnicity and sex. Notably, this study aims to examine the influence of sex and Ethnicity on acute coronary syndrome outcomes, specifically during the global SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Methods: This retrospective observational study analyzed adult patients hospitalized with a primary diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome in the United States in 2020. Primary outcomes included inpatient mortality and the time from admission to percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Secondary outcomes encompassed the length of stay and hospital costs. The National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database was utilized to identify and study patients in our test group. Results: A total of 779,895 patients hospitalized with a primary diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome in the year 2020 and 935,975 patients in 2019 were included in this study. Baseline findings revealed that inpatient mortality was significantly higher in 2020 compared to 2019, regardless of sex and Ethnicity (adjusted odds ratio (aOR) 1.20, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.12–1.23, p-value < 0.001). Concerning primary outcomes, there was no difference in inpatient mortality for hospitalized patients of different sexes between 2019 and 2020 (STEMI: aOR 1.05, 95% CI 0.96–1.14, p-value 0.22; NSTEMI/UA aOR 1.08, 95% CI 0.98–1.19, p-value 0.13). Regarding time to admission for PCI, NSTEMI/UA cases were found to be statistically significant in female patients compared to males (mean difference 0.06 days, 95% CI 0.02–0.10, p-value < 0.01) and African Americans compared to Caucasians (mean difference 0.13 days, 95% CI 0.06–0.19, p < 0.001). In terms of the length of stay, female patients had a shorter length of stay compared to males (mean difference −0.22, 95% CI −0.27 to −0.16, p-value < 0.01). Conclusions: As acute coronary syndrome is an urgent diagnosis, a global pandemic has the potential to exacerbate existing healthcare disparities related to sex and Ethnicity. This study did not reveal any difference in inpatient mortality, aligning with studies conducted prior to the pandemic. However, it highlighted significantly longer treatment times (admission to PCI) for NSTEMI/UA management in female and African American populations. Study Design: Systematic Review and Meta-analysis. Objectives: To evaluate the impact of race on post-operative outcomes and complications following elective spine surgery in the United States. Methods: PUBMED, MEDLINE(R), ERIC, EMBASE, and SCOPUS were searched for studies documenting peri-operative events for White and African American (AA) patients following elective spine surgery. Pooled odds ratios were calculated for each 90-day outcome and meta-analyses were performed for 4 peri-operative events and 7 complication categories. Sub-analyses were performed for each outcome on single institution (SI) studies and works that included <100,000 patients. Results: 53 studies (5,589,069 patients, 9.8% AA) were included. Eleven included >100,000 patients. AA patients had increased rates of 90-day readmission (OR 1.33, P =.0001), non-routine discharge (OR 1.71, P =.0001), and mortality (OR 1.66, P =.0003), but not re-operation (OR 1.16, P =.1354). AA patients were more likely to have wound-related complications (OR 1.47, P =.0001) or medical complications (OR 1.35, P =.0006), specifically cardiovascular (OR 1.33, P =.0126), deep vein thrombosis/pulmonary embolism (DVT/PE) (OR 2.22, P =.0188) and genitourinary events (OR 1.17, P =.0343). SI studies could only detect racial differences in re-admissions and non-routine discharges. Studies with <100,000 patients replicated the above findings but found no differences in cardiovascular complications. Disparities in mortality were only detected when all studies were included. Conclusions: AA patients faced a greater risk of morbidity across several distinct categories of peri-operative events. SI studies can be underpowered to detect more granular complication types (genitourinary, DVT/PE). Latinos in the USA are 1.5 times more likely to develop Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) than non-Latino Whites. This systematic review aims to summarize current understanding of the perceptions, knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes about ADRD and brain health of Latinos to inform public health efforts addressing disparities. Searches were completed across six databases (Medline, PsycINFO, WoS, LILACS, ProQUEST, and CINAHL). Studies were required to capture attitudes and/or knowledge of ADRD or brain health among US-based Latino adults who were not cognitively impaired and were not caregivers or healthcare providers. Results were synthesized narratively. A total of 5528 unique records were identified. Following de-duplication and screening, 24 articles met the inclusion criteria for this review. Overall, knowledge about brain health and ADRD among Latinos is quite mixed. A consistent finding was that participants recognized memory loss as a symptom of cognitive impairment, but demonstrated limited recognition of other signs of impairment. The studies also highlighted variable knowledge of protective factors for maintaining brain health. Opportunities exist to increase knowledge of ADRD signs and symptoms, and awareness of risk and protective factors. Given the heterogeneity of Latinos in the USA, more research is warranted to better elucidate nuances in conceptualizations of brain health and aging among diverse Latino subgroups. This study quantifies the prevalence and trends in weekly PrEP coverage at the national, state and county-level, before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.We estimated weekly PrEP coverage using longitudinal individual-level pharmacy claims from IQVIA LRx for a cohort of PrEP users (N = 287,493) ages 16 to 85 years between December 29th, 2019 and November 8th, 2020. Weekly PrEP coverage was defined as PrEP use among individuals at high risk for HIV. We conducted an interrupted time series analysis to quantify changes in weekly PrEP coverage before (December 29th, 2019 - March 8th, 2020) and during (March 29th - November 8th, 2020) the COVID-19 pandemic at the national, state and county-level by county characteristics, specifically by EHE priority jurisdiction, racial/ethnic composition, and urbanity. Nationally, weekly PrEP coverage among individuals ages 16 to 85 at high risk for HIV declined by 11.5% (from 11.0% before to 9.5% during the pandemic; t = 8.02,p < 0.01). Weekly PrEP coverage declined in all states and most counties yet varied substantially across states and counties. Geographic disparities in weekly PrEP coverage were also observed between urban EHE priority counties with significantly lower rates in counties with ≥ 50% Black/Latinx population when compared to their counterparts (7.9% vs. 11.2%; t = 18.91,p < 0.01);these disparities were most pronounced in California and New York. Weekly PrEP coverage was much lower than the 25% annual coverage reported by the Centers for Disease Control and geographic disparities observed within states likely contribute to the persistent racial/ethnic disparities in new HIV diagnoses observed within those states. Introduction: Gastric cancer ranks as the 5th most prevalent cancer and the 4th leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Various treatment modalities, including surgical resection, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, are available for gastric cancer patients. However, disparities related to age, sex, race, socioeconomic factors, insurance status, and demographic factors often lead to delayed time to treatment. Methods: In this retrospective study, conducted between 2004 and 2019, we utilized data from the National Cancer Database (NCDB) to investigate the factors contributing to disparities in the time to first treatment, surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy among gastric cancer patients. Our analysis incorporated several variables, and statistical analysis was conducted to provide valuable insights into these disparities. Results: We observed notable disparities in the timing of treatment for various demographic groups, including age, sex, race, insurance status, geographic location, and facility type. These disparities include longer time to treatment in males (32.67 vs 30.75), Native Americans (35.10 vs 31.09 in Asians), low-income patients (32 vs 31.15), patients getting treatment in an academic setting (36.11 vs 29.61 in community setting), significantly longer time to chemotherapy in 70+ age group (51.13 vs 40.38 in <40 y age group), black race (55.81 vs 47.05 in whites), low income people (49.64 vs 46.74), significantly longer time to radiotherapy in females (101.61 vs 79.75), blacks and Asians (109.68 and 113.96 respectively vs 92.68 in Native Americans) etc. There are various other disparities in time to surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Conclusions: Understanding these disparities is crucial in developing targeted strategies to improve timely access to appropriate treatments and enhance outcomes for gastric cancer patients.
