Abstract

In this paper, we study the strong non-stationary stochastic processes that take place in the phase space of self-gravitating systems at the initial non-stationary stage of their evolution. The numerical calculations of the compulsive phase mixing process were carried out based on the model of chaotic impacts, according to which the initially selected phase volume experiences random impacts of a different and complex nature.

Expressions have been developed to characterize the polarization and frequency dependencies of composite matrix elements associated with one-, two-, and three-photon optical transitions in monolayers of transition metal dichalcogenides. These transitions are driven by vertical movements between the conduction and valence bands. The analysis utilizes a two-band approximation that accounts for the spin states of charge carriers. This study explores the distinctions among one-, two-, and three-photon interband optical transitions, focusing on the various types of intermediate states that can arise within both the valence and conduction band subbands. Abstract

The timely and accurate detection of brain tumors is crucial for effective medical intervention, especially in resource-constrained settings. This study proposes a lightweight and efficient RetinaNet variant tailored for medical edge device deployment. The model reduces computational overhead while maintaining high detection accuracy by replacing the computationally intensive ResNet backbone with MobileNet and leveraging depthwise separable convolutions. The modified RetinaNet achieves an average precision (AP) of 32.1, surpassing state-of-the-art models in small tumor detection (APS: 14.3) and large tumor localization (APL: 49.7). Furthermore, the model significantly reduces computational costs, making real-time analysis feasible on low-power hardware. Clinical relevance is a key focus of this work. The proposed model addresses the diagnostic challenges of small, variable-sized tumors often overlooked by existing methods. Its lightweight architecture enables accurate and timely tumor localization on portable devices, bridging the gap in diagnostic accessibility for underserved regions. Extensive experiments on the BRATS dataset demonstrate the model robustness across tumor sizes and configurations, with confidence scores consistently exceeding 81%. This advancement holds the potential for improving early tumor detection, particularly in remote areas lacking advanced medical infrastructure, thereby contributing to better patient outcomes and broader accessibility to AI-driven diagnostic tools. Abstract

This study provides an in-depth analysis of specific land use areas within a semi-arid rangeland region by utilizing the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). The stream areas, local roads, main roads, and rock mining areas were subjected to NDVI analysis, revealing distinct vegetation health patterns. The stream areas, encompassing a 10-meter buffer, exhibited NDVI values ranging from 0.0098 to 0.447, covering 0.3% of the total study area. NDVI values for local roads (5 m buffer) ranged from 0.07 to 0.438, while main roads (10 m buffer) showed values between 0.017 and 0.172. In the rock mining areas, NDVI values varied at 10-meter and 20-meter buffer distances, with a polygon region indicating values from 0.012 to 0.276. The findings underscore the impact of specific land use practices on rangeland health and advocate for integrating NDVI techniques in monitoring and decision-making processes. The study also emphasizes the importance of selective management strategies to preserve healthy rangeland areas and mitigate the negative effects of degradation drivers, such as population density, grazing intensity, deforestation, unmanaged mining, and unplanned road networks. Abstract

Background: The development of effective and safe vaccines and their timely delivery to the public play a crucial role in preventing and managing infectious diseases. Many vaccines have been produced and distributed globally to prevent COVID-19 infection. However, establishing effective vaccine development platforms and evaluating their safety and immunogenicity remains critical to increasing health security, especially in developing countries. Objectives: Therefore, we developed a local subunit vaccine candidate, RENOVAC, and reported its toxicity and immunogenicity profile in animal models. Methods: First, the synthetic gene-coding tandem RBD linked with the GS linker was cloned into the expression vector and expressed in CHO cells. The protein was then purified and filter sterilized, and 10 µg/dose and 25 µg/dose formulations were finally examined for the 14-day repeated dose toxicity followed by the immunogenic profile in preclinical studies. Results: When administered to Sprague Dawley rats by intramuscular route, the vaccine was well tolerated up to and including the dose of 25 µg/animal, and no toxicologically adverse changes were noted. The observed change in weight of the thymus and spleen might be related to the immunological response to the vaccine. The dimer RBD vaccine demonstrated the ability to generate high levels of specific immunoglobulins (IGs) and neutralization antibodies (NAbs). Finally, changes in the amounts of specific T cells and cytokines after vaccination suggested that the vaccine mainly triggers an immune response by activating CD4+ Th2-cells, which then activate B-cells to provide humoral immunity. Conclusions: The study suggests that, based on its reliable immunogenicity and acceptable safety, the vaccine can be further directed for clinical trials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

We consider a family of parameter-dependent discrete Schrödinger operators corresponding to the Hamiltonian of a system of three arbitrary particles (either fermions or bosons) with masses m 1 = m 2 = ∞ and m 3 < ∞ , on the integer lattice, Z 3 . The interactions of particles are described via zero-range attractive forces. We show that such operators might have an infinite discrete spectrum depending on the interaction energies, μ 1 and μ 2 , between the finite-mass particle and the infinite-mass ones. Infinitely many eigenvalues arise from threshold eigenvalues and threshold resonances when μ 1 = μ 2 and only from threshold eigenvalues otherwise. Moreover, the condition for the existence of eigenvalues, threshold eigenvalues and threshold resonances as well as their dependence on the parameters of the operators are explicitly derived. Abstract

The paper proposes an adaptive filtering model based on website data. It discusses three approaches to data filtering: content-based filtering, collaborative filtering, and hybrid filtering. These approaches aim to tailor the presentation of recommended links to users based on their needs. In addition, various methods of data filtering and processing are studied. Emphasis is placed on adding filtering to the user experience to personalize content. In several person-oriented methods studied during the research, it is proposed to identify pages that have not been seen by the end user, but which satisfy the constant needs, taking into account the relevant search profile. In the study, a comparative analysis of clustering algorithms was conducted, the most suitable algorithm was found to be the CLOPE algorithm. The cases that should be recognized by the personalization system that takes into account the current search query are highlighted. Based on the clustering of search and navigation profiles, a new personalization model, method and algorithm was developed, taking into account the constant and current needs of the end user satisfaction.
