IASON Project has the ultimate goal to establish a permanent and sustainable Network of scientific and non-scientific institutions, stakeholders and private sector enterprises belonging in the EU and third countries located in two significant areas: The Mediterranean and the Black Sea regions. The main focal points of the project will be the usage and application of Earth Observation (EO) in the following topics: – climate change – resource efficiency – raw materials management IASON aims to build on the experiences gained by 5 FP7 funded projects, OBSERVE, enviroGRIDS, GEONETCab, EGIDA, and BalkanGEONet. All of the above projects focused on enhancing EO capacities, knowledge and technology in the EU and in neighborhood countries. During their execution time they managed to establish links with a critical mass of research institutions, organizations, public organizations, stakeholders, and policy makers in the Balkan region, the Mediterranean, and the Black Sea Basin. IASON intends to create the proper conditions for enhancing knowledge transfer capacity building, and market opportunities in using EO applications and mechanisms in specific research fields that are addressing climate actions resource efficiency and raw materials management.

A Psicologia Escolar, área tradicional da profissão de psicólogo no Brasil, sofre diversas críticas referentes ao modo como são conduzidas determinadas práticas em seu contexto, por isso necessita ser constantemente repensada e discutida. O presente artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre a Psicologia Escolar e sua(s) possibilidades de atuação. Inicialmente realiza-se uma contextualização histórica sobre a Psicologia Escolar, com a observação de que esse é um campo ainda em construção no Brasil. Em um segundo momento, busca-se elucidar alguns aspectos que hoje tornam a Psicologia Escolar uma área específica e de grande importância na atuação do psicólogo. Por fim, discute-se a necessidade tanto de o psicólogo atuar com os diferentes atores presentes no contexto educacional quanto de trabalhar de forma interdisciplinar na escola e em qualquer outro ambiente no qual sejam desenvolvidos processos de ensino-aprendizagem.

This paper presents a brief discussion about the Brazilian Public Health and the introduction of Health Psychology in the Unified Health System considering publications about these topics. At first, the History of Public Health is briefly presented, in order to understand the development of Health Psychology and how psychologists started working with health-disease contexts in this field. Then, Health Psychology area is presented and its limits and perspectives are considered. It has been concluded that psychologists, especially those who work with Public Health, need to review their practices, because they are still focused on disease and do not take into consideration the history and context of health-disease processes.

Since 1984, the European Union’s Framework Program for Research and Innovation has been the main instrument for funding research. Specific priorities, objectives and types of funded activities vary between funding periods. Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly € 80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014–2020). H2020 is based on three pillars: (i) Excellent science, (ii) Industrial leadership, (iii) Societal challenges. The current economic crisis in Europe and elsewhere leads to extended shortage of research budgets in national levels, which in turn leads researchers to search funds in the highly competitive transnational research instruments, as H2020. This paper : - draws the overall picture of Horizon 2020 - investigates the position of close-range imaging technologies, applications and research areas - presents the research challenges in H2020 that offer funding opportunities in close-range imaging

Este trabalho teve por objetivo comparar a idade da primeira relação sexual, a informação sobre métodos contraceptivos, além de seu uso com a ocorrência da gestação na adolescência em dois grupos (50 grávidas e 50 não grávidas). Foi utilizado um questionário desenvolvido para o estudo que investigou essas variáveis. Verificou-se que não há diferença significativa nos grupos entre idade da sexarca, uso de contracepção na sexarca e tipo de contraceptivo utilizado. Contudo, os grupos diferem em relação ao uso de métodos contraceptivos nas relações sexuais subsequentes. Os dados revelam a multiplicidade de fatores envolvidos no comportamento contraceptivo demonstrando a necessidade de absorção desses fatores por parte das políticas públicas voltadas para o público adolescentes.

School psychology is dedicated to integrate actions that can facilitate the process of learning and development of scholar community. The psychologist has the function of reviewing his or her own professional concepts and practices constantly so that he or she can deal with the complexity of this reality, broadening the concept of school complaints in order to identify other factors associated with these complaints. This paper presents a report on the interventions done during an internship of school psychology at an Elementary School in the countryside of RS. It was noticed an initial necessity of awareness about the psychologist role and about a greateracceptance of a job that could not be just clinical. The practice of the psychologist and of the psychology intern in this context were discussed and related to education and health in a broad sense.

This study presents an individual tree-crown-based approach for canopy fuel load estimation and mapping in two Mediterranean pine stands. Based on destructive sampling, an allometric equation was developed for the estimation of crown fuel weight considering only pine crown width, a tree characteristic that can be estimated from passive imagery. Two high resolution images were used originally for discriminating Aleppo and Calabrian pines crown regions through a geographic object based image analysis approach. Subsequently, the crown region images were segmented using a watershed segmentation algorithm and crown width was extracted. The overall accuracy of the tree crown isolation expressed through a perfect match between the reference and the delineated crowns was 34.00% for the Kassandra site and 48.11% for the Thessaloniki site, while the coefficient of determination between the ground measured and the satellite extracted crown width was 0.5. Canopy fuel load values estimated in the current study presented mean values from 1.29 ± 0.6 to 1.65 ± 0.7 kg/m2 similar to other conifers worldwide. Despite the modest accuracies attained in this first study of individual tree crown fuel load mapping, the combination of the allometric equations with satellite-based extracted crown width information, can contribute to the spatially explicit mapping of canopy fuel load in Mediterranean areas. These maps can be used among others in fire behavior prediction, in fuel reduction treatments prioritization and during active fire suppression.

O presente trabalho buscou compreender como o contexto familiar pode servir como fator de risco e de proteção na situação da gestação e maternidade na adolescência. Realizou-se uma revisão sistemática da literatura nos portais Scielo e Pepsic, com os descritores família, adolescência, gravidez, gestação, maternidade, sexualidade, vulnerabilidade, risco e proteção, no período de 2000 a 2010. Para análise do material, utilizou-se uma análise temática de conteúdo. Os resultados sugerem que, dentre os fatores de risco estão: dificuldades no relacionamento familiar, repetição da história familiar de gestação, a ocorrência de gestações sucessivas durante a adolescência, falta ou inadequação da orientação sexual, quantidade de apoio familiar recebido, situações de violência, crenças e valores sobre parentalidade, abuso de drogas. Já entre os fatores de proteção encontra-se: relacionamento familiar satisfatório, apoio recebido da família e impacto positivo advindo da gravidez adolescente. Esses resultados são discutidos a partir da concepção processual de risco/proteção.

O objetivo do presente trabalho é tratar sobre a questão da universalização dos direitos humanos fundamentais permeados pela relevância e sua efetivação. Para tal, foram abordadas questões no tocante a normatização, a corrente jus naturalista, bem como com a questão da sustentabilidade propriamente dita. EM um contexto histórico, onde a origem histórica mundial dos direitos humanos foi estabelecida com o advento da Declaração dos Direitos Humanos em 1948. Buscou-se também, questionar a questão de um mínimo ético sustentável, uma vez que, discute-se no âmbito dos direitos humanos e em esfera mundial, que através da Carta Política de 1988, foram resgatados ainda com mais intensidade esses direitos, uma vez que, carregam a ideia de proteção e a garantia da dignidade que lhe foi conferia em texto constitucional. Contudo, começaram a surgir novos paradigmas para atender as necessidades do planeta terra, pois, devido a ação antrópica descontrolada, já não se tem mais o cálculo do grau de gravidade que se encontra o planeta.

Photogrammetrey has a long successful history in the area of 3D modelling and documentation of cultural heritage monuments. In some cases an extensive study, preparation and the application of novel solutions is required for the successful documentation and 3D modelling of monuments. In most of the cases the problem that we have to face is difficulties regarding accessing, photographing, and measuring the monument from the optimal distance, in combination with the need for a high spatial resolution mapping. This paper is highlighting the special problems and the novel solutions, performed during mapping of two significant cultural heritage monuments in Greece. The Roussanou monastery (1527–1529 A.C., Meteora, Center Greece) and its underlying rock, had to be photographed and measured from a far distance and measured with various spatial resolutions. In the lakeside Neolithic settlement of Dispilio (6.000 B.C., western Greece) the enclosure which is covered with vegetation above a height of 3 m, had to be measured with high spatial resolution. The combined use of a laser scanner, a digital camera equipped with a telephoto lens and UAV allowed the successful mapping and the production of orthophotomaps in each case.

The purpose of the paper is to investigate the Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI), which is still at a very early stage, to identify its use worldwide including characteristic examples and research its potential applications in Cultural Heritage and Archaeology as a new field for study. In the first part of the paper a brief review of the field is given, the international terminology and its components are analysed. The basic framework of VGI and the international research trends are presented as well. The second part deals with the applications of VGI in Cultural Heritage and Archaeology. Finally, some thoughts, conclusions and recommendations for action and institutionalization of use are offered underlining that VGI cannot be applied to Archaeology without professional attendance and supervision so as unwanted results can be prevented.

Motherhood is still highly valued socially. This study aimed to compare the views on 50 maternity pregnant and 50 non-pregnant adolescents who are from13 tp 19 years old that went to basic health units and schools in a city in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. As a rule of thumb, they tend to take for granted that pregnant adolescents have a more positive view and favorable to the non-pregnant teenagers on motherhood. Questionnaires were applied to two groups of adolescents to check out their opinions on. The responses of pregnant and non-pregnant to the questionnaire items were compared with statistical tests. Generally speaking, it has bennfound significant differences as for opinions expressed by the groups. We confirmed the expectation that pregnant adolescents have more positive opinions about motherhood than non-pregnant women. It discusses about the increased vulnerability to pregnancy associated with only positive view of motherhood.

It is well known that the Brazilian municipalities aim to increase their own revenues and reduce dependence on state and federal financial transfers, optimizing their tax revenues. It is also known that the municipalities intend to carry out that mission with integrity, clarity and to present easily the accountability to regulators, as well as to their respective populations. In this paper carried out a study on the methodology employed in a town in central-southern state of Paraná to calculate the venal values and property tax (IPTU) and the consequent taxation of IPTU and ITBI in these goods. Based on municipality registration data was developed, by means of multivariate statistical techniques, an analysis of the characteristics that most influence the monetary valuations of the property, and applying multiple linear regression analysis are proposed models to estimate values of the venal values of properties, allowing tax calculations predict through it. Finally, comparisons are presented between the results from the methodology used by the municipality with those obtained by the models developed, proposed for use in general.

Em função do crescimento das cidades e consequentemente do número de semáforos se faz necessário uma abordagem científica na sincronização dos mesmos. Entende-se por sincronização, a defasagem entre os centros dos vermelhos dos semáforos de uma região, de modo que os estabelecimentos dos tempos de verde e vermelho sejam tais que, um motorista trafegando numa via encontre sinais verdes ao longo dela. A porção de um ciclo de um semáforo para o qual isto é possível denomina-se largura de banda. O objetivo deste trabalho é aplicar um modelo matemático computacional para sincronizar semáforos, objetivando maximizar largura de banda ao longo das artérias mais importante e particularizada para a situação do tráfego em Curitiba. Tal abordagem acarretaria em economia, qualidade de vida e segurança no trânsito. O modelo aplicado baseia-se nos trabalhos de (LITTLE, 1966) e (GARTNER, 1981), de programação linear inteira mista e envolve restrições de ciclo, restrições de velocidade, de mudança de velocidade entre trechos, com tempos de espera para virar à esquerda e tempo de espera do pelotão semafórico.

This paper focuses on the exceptional results of the EU Study (Commission et al., 2022) to map the parameters, formats, standards, benchmarks and methodologies relating to the 3D digitisation of tangible cultural heritage (CH). The overall objective of our paper is to further the quality of the 3D digitisation process by enabling cultural heritage professionals, institutions, content developers, stakeholders and academics to define and produce high-quality digitisation standards and sustainable conservation models for the preservation, documentation, understanding, and accessibility of tangible cultural heritage assets. The aim is to achieve high quality results during the 2D and 3D recording process of CH tangible assets. This work identifies for the first time in this domain, key parameters of the digitisation process, estimated the relative complexity and how it is linked to technology, its impact on quality and its various factors. It also presents standards and formats used for 3D digitisation, including data types, data formats and metadata schemas for 3D structures within a holistic documentation approach. Finally, this work presents and describes all the features and parameters of the complexity and quality that influence the methodology and infrastructure to be used for high quality results regarding digital cultural heritage. These complexity and quality factors are illustrated in the form of radial charts with the corresponding relevant information at the end of the paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

O objeto de estudo desta pesquisa são as práticas de governança em organizações cooperativas. A pesquisa busca identificar de que forma estão refletidas as ações de governança em cooperativas agropecuárias, por meio da análise de informações presentes nos estatutos sociais. O estudo caracteriza-se metodologicamente como sendo descritivo com evidências qualitativas, sendo que foram analisados doze estatutos de cooperativas agropecuárias. Para o seu desenvolvimento, primeiramente foram construídos indicadores a partir de pressupostos de governança citados por diferentes autores. Após, estes indicadores serviram de base para a comparação com as ações adotadas em cada cooperativa. A análise da amostra possibilitou inferir que as práticas que caracterizam a governança nas organizações cooperativas necessitam de ajustes e em outras a implantação das mesmas.

O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre os efeitos das práticas educativas coercitivas para o desenvolvimento da criança e do adolescente, buscando compreender sua influência no comportamento e na aprendizagem em ambiente escolar. A partir da análise assistemática de estudos sobre o tema, foi possível compreender que as estratégias coercitivas que se utilizam da força física para educar estão associadas a resultados negativos no desenvolvimento humano da criança e do adolescente, como comportamentos agressivos e baixa autoestima, constituindo-se em risco ao desenvolvimento saudável. Contudo, tais práticas são compartilhadas socialmente e consideradas naturais pelas famílias, não havendo, muitas vezes, o conhecimento de outras formas de educar. Sendo a escola um importante ambiente de interação das crianças, ela tem sido chamada a engajar-se nessa temática. Assim, discutem-se formas de instrumentalizar os profissionais da educação para a identificação dos casos de uso de estratégias coercitivas e violência física na educação dos filhos, como também ações preventivas junto aos estudantes e à comunidade. Para que o propósito seja alcançado, órgãos responsáveis pela defesa dos direitos da criança e psicólogo escolar poderão atuar juntamente com a escola, auxiliando-a nesse processo. O psicólogo pode trabalhar com os pais no sentido de apresentar formas de educar que não passem pela perspectiva da violência, prevenindo, assim, danos ao desenvolvimento e comportamentos que dificultam a aprendizagem. Fomentar reflexões sobre essa problemática fará com que os valores da educação sem violência tomem espaço nas famílias, contribuindo para que as crianças tornem-se adultos saudáveis no futuro.The objective of this article is to reflect upon the effects of coercive education practices on the development of the child and the adolescent, seeking to understand their influence on behavior and learning within the school context. Based on the unsystematic analysis of studies on the theme, it was possible to understand that the coercive strategies that made use of physical force to educate are associated to negative results for the human development of the child and the adolescent, such as aggressive behavior and low self-esteem, constituting thereby a risk to their healthy development. Nevertheless, these practices are socially shared and regarded as natural by families, with other forms of educating often being unknown. With the school being regarded as an important space for the interaction of children, it has been called upon to join in this issue. Thus, forms are discussed of giving instruments to the professionals of education to help them identify cases where coercive strategies and physical violence are being used in the education of children, as well as to help them with preventive actions with students and with the community. In order to allow this purpose to be fulfilled, the bodies responsible for the defense of the rights of children, as well as the school psychologist, can act alongside the school, helping it in this process. The psychologist can work with parents to introduce them to forms of education that avoid the perspective of violence, thereby preventing future developmental damage and behavior that will hinder learning. Fostering reflections about this problem will allow the values of non-violence education to flourish among families, contributing to turn children into future healthy adults.

A família é considerada o primeiro e principal ambiente de desenvolvimento dos filhos. Durante a de gestação na adolescência ela pode servir como fonte de apoio ou de estresse para a gestante. O objetivo desse estudo foi descrever as percepções e sentimentos de pais de adolescentes gestantes atendidas em um hospital público de Porto Alegre – RS. Foram entrevistados nove mães e quatro pais com idades variando entre 33 e 55 anos, de diferentes estratos sócio econômicos da população (baixo e médio). Esses pais foram entrevistados através de um roteiro semiestruturado. As análises das entrevistas foram desenvolvidas através do enfoque fenomenológico. Os resultados indicam a multiplicidade de reações, percepções e sentimentos dos pais diante da notícia e da vivência da gestação das filhas adolescentes. Através do apoio parental (ou sua ausência), os pais influenciam na forma como as adolescentes vivenciam essa experiência, tendo um papel importante nesse processo.

A concepção de maternidade como um destino inevitável vem sendo questionada na contemporaneidade, a partir do crescente posicionamento de mulheres que optam por não viver essa experiência e não cumprir, dessa forma, uma das normas sociais mais fortemente ligadas à constituição da identidade feminina. O presente trabalho buscou compreender como se constituem as identidades femininas de mulheres de classe média, casadas, ou que coabitam com o companheiro, e que optaram por não ter filhos, residentes em cidade do interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas que foram avaliadas por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo. Os resultados sugerem que as mulheres que optam por não viver a maternidade constituem suas identidades a partir da negação de representações culturais dominantes que afirmam a maternidade como destino natural de toda mulher, e o amor materno como sentimento inerente à existência feminina.

Abnormalities on skin may vary from simple acne to painful wounds which affect a person's life quality. Detection of these kinds of disorders in early stages, followed by the evaluation of abnormalities is of high importance. At this stage, photogrammetry offers a non-contact solution to this concern by providing geometric highly accurate data. Photogrammetry, which has been used for firstly topographic purposes, in virtue of terrestrial photogrammetry became useful technique in non-topographic applications also (Wolf et al., 2000). Moreover the extension of usage of photogrammetry, in parallel with the development in technology, analogue photographs are replaced with digital images and besides digital image processing techniques, it provides modification of digital images by using filters, registration processes etc. Besides, photogrammetry (using same coordinate system by registration of images) can serve as a tool for the comparison of temporal imaging data. The aim of this study is to examine several digital image processing techniques, in particular the digital filters, which might be useful to determine skin disorders. In our study we examine affordable to purchase, user friendly software which needs neither expertise nor pre-training. Since it is a pre-work for subsequent and deeper studies, Adobe Photoshop 7.0 is used as a present software. In addition to that Adobe Photoshop released a DesAcc plug-ins with CS3 version and provides full compatibility with DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) that enables doctors to store all medical data together with relevant images and share if necessary.

Adolescent pregnancy has been widely investigated by researchers, both in Brazil and in other countries, mostly from the 80's on, when this phenomenon started to be faced as a public health problem. Thus, this study aims to evaluate and reflect on the profile of pregnant adolescents users of a Basic Health Unit of Santa Maria - RS. We have used a questionnaire containing closed and open questions about sexuality, contraception, maternity and life project. From a content analysis of information, one can see a variety of experiences related to the phenomenon of teenage pregnancy. Thus, it is emphasized that it is important to assess the individual story of teenage pregnancy, because pregnancy and motherhood take on different meanings, depending on family history and socio-cultural context in which they are embedded.

Improvements in sensor technology in recent decades led to the creation of ground, air and space imaging systems, whose data can be used in archaeological studies. Greece is one of the lucky areas that are rich in archaeological heritage. The detection of prehistoric/historic undiscovered constructions on satellite images or aerial photos is a complex and complicated matter. These marks are not visible from the ground, they can, however, be traced on satellite or aerial images, because of the differences in tone and texture. These differences appear as crop, soil and shadow marks. Undoubtedly, the detection of buried structures requires a suitable spatial resolution image, taken under appropriate meteorological conditions and during the best period of the vegetation growing cycle. According to the pertinent literature, detecting covered memorials may be achieved either accidentally or, usually, after a systematic investigation based on historical narratives. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that facilitate or hinder the detection of buried structures through high spatial resolution satellite imagery. In this study, pan sharpened images from the QuickBird-2 satellite were used, of a spatial resolution of 0.60-0.70 m. This study concerns the detection of marks of the ancient Via Egnatia, from the ancient Amphipolis to Philippi (Eastern Macedonia, Greece). We studied different types of vegetation in the region and their phenological cycle. Taking into account the vegetation phenological cycle of the study area as well as the meteorological data, four pan sharpened QuickBird-2 images of a spatial resolution of 0.60–0.70 m. were used, during four different seasons. By processing the four images, we can determine the one acquired during the most appropriate conditions for the detection of buried structures. The application of this methodology in the study area had positive results, and not only was the main purpose of this study – the detection of parts of the ancient Via Egnatia – achieved, but the locations of dozens of other buried archaeological remains were also determined.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar a evapotranspiração (ET) de cafeeiros adultos, irrigados por aspersão e gotejamento, e não irrigados, bem como os coeficientes de cultivo (Kc) de cafeeiros sob os dois regimes hídricos. O experimento foi realizado em Londrina, PR, com cafeeiros da cultivar Iapar 59, com cinco e seis anos de idade, de setembro de 2006 a agosto de 2008. A evapotranspiração foi medida por cinco lisímetros de pesagem, dos quais dois irrigados por aspersão, um por gotejamento e os outros dois sem irrigação. A irrigação foi aplicada, em média, duas vezes por semana, para manter o solo com umidade próxima à de capacidade de campo. O coeficiente de cultivo foi determinado pela razão entre a ET das plantas dos tratamentos irrigados e a evapotranspiração de referência (ETo). Os cafeeiros adultos apresentaram valor médio de ET mais elevado no tratamento irrigado por aspersão (3,2 mm dia-1), em comparação aos de outros tratamentos, que apresentaram médias equivalentes entre si (2,8 mm dia-1). A mesma tendência foi observada para Kc, em razão da relação ET e ETo, com valor médio maior para o tratamento irrigado por aspersão (1) e menor para o gotejamento (0,88).

O presente trabalho teve por objetivo determinar a composição centesimal do tubérculo de batata in natura a ser utilizado no processo de destilação para a produção de etanol e do resíduo sólido resultante da fermentação deste tubérculo. Com base na composição do resíduo, avaliou-se o efeito da sua utilização na substituição de diferentes teores de fibra alimentar de uma dieta padrão, na resposta biológica de ratos. Para a avaliação dos efeitos biológicos, foram utilizados 32 ratos Wistar divididos em quatro grupos. Um dos grupos de animais recebeu a dieta padrão para ratos em crescimento, e os demais grupos receberam esta dieta com substituição de 25, 50 ou 100% de sua fibra alimentar pela fibra do resíduo. Durante o período experimental (23 dias), foram avaliados o consumo, o ganho de peso, o coeficiente de eficiência alimentar (CEA), a produção de fezes secas e úmidas, pH e excreção de nitrogênio fecal. No final do ensaio, foram avaliados o peso do fígado e da gordura epididimal, níveis sanguíneos de triglicerídeos, colesterol total, colesterol HDL e proteínas totais. O resíduo apresentou uma composição centesimal de 8,2% de proteína, 16,7% de fibra alimentar, 62,8% de carboidratos e 288Kcal. Os resultados obtidos no ensaio biológico sugerem que o resíduo sólido da fermentação de tubérculos de batata pode ser empregado como fonte de nutrientes, com base na substituição da fração fibra de uma dieta padrão AIN-93, sem comprometer o desenvolvimento dos ratos e os parâmetros bioquímicos analisados.The present research had the objectives of determining the in natura potato tuber centesimal composition in the distilling process in order to produce ethanol and to verify the solid residues resulting from this tuber fermentation process. Based on the residue composition, it was evaluated the effect of its use in the substitution of different dietary fiber content of a standard diet observing the rats biological response to this diet. In order to evaluate the biological effect, 32 Wistar rats were used divided into four groups. One group was given the standard diet for growing rats, according to recommendations of the American Institute of Nutrition (AIN-93), and the other three groups were given this diet substituting 25, 50 or 100% of residue by dietary fiber. Throughout the experimental period (23 days), consumption, weight gain, food efficiency ratio (FER), dry and moist feces production, pH and nitrogen fecal excretion were evaluated. At the end of the experiment, liver and epididimal fat weights, triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and total protein levels were evaluated. The residue presented centesimal composition of 8.2% protein, 16.7% of dietary fiber, 62.8% of carbohydrates and 288 Kcal. The results obtained in the biological assay suggest that the solid residue resulting from potato tuber fermentation can be employed as a source of nutrients having as basis the exchange of fiber fraction of an AIN-93 standard diet without endangering rats' growth and the analyzed biochemical parameters.

O objetivo desse estudo foi compreender as percepções de gestantes jovens multíparas sobre a gravidez, se esta foi planejada ou não, a experiência do parto, as vivencias da maternidade nessa etapa de vida, além da reação à notícia da segunda gestação. Para tanto, foram realizadas cinco entrevistas com jovens que passaram pela experiência de gestação mais de uma vez, que tinham idade entre 16 e 22 anos. A entrevista semi-estruturada abordou diversos aspectos relacionados à gestação, sendo analisadas, através de uma análise de conteúdo temática, as questões foco do estudo. Os resul- tados demonstram que as vivências da gestação, parto e maternidade no período, apesar de trazerem algumas dificuldades, são consideradas positivas pelas jovens.

Improved sensor characteristics are generally assumed to increase the potential accuracy of image classification and information extraction from remote sensing imagery. However, the increase in data volume caused by these improvements raise challenges associated with the selection, storage, and processing of this data, and with the cost-effective and timely analysis of the remote sensing datasets. Previous research has extensively assessed the relevance and impact of spatial, spectral and temporal resolution of satellite data on classification accuracy, but little attention has been given to the impact of radiometric resolution. This study focuses on the role of radiometric resolution on classification accuracy of remote sensing data through different classification experiments over three different sites. The experiments were carried out using fine and low scale radiometric resolution images classified through a bagging classification tree. The classification experiments addressed different aspects of the classification road map, including among others, binary and multiclass classification schemes, spectrally and spatially enhanced images, as well as pixel and objects as units of the classification. In addition, the impact of image radiometric resolution on computational time and the information content in fine- and low-resolution images was also explored. While in certain cases, higher radiometric resolution has led to up to 8% higher classification accuracies compared to lower resolution radiometric data, other results indicate that higher radiometric resolution does not necessarily imply improved classification accuracy. Also, classification accuracy of spectral indices and texture bands is not related so much to the radiometric resolution of the original remote sensing images but rather to their own radiometric resolution. Overall, the results of this study suggest that data selection and classification need not always adhere to the highest possible radiometric resolution.

This paper presents a fusion method for combining outputs acquired by low-cost inertial measurement units and electronic magnetic compasses. Specifically, measurements of inertial accelerometer and gyroscope sensors are combined with no-inertial magnetometer sensor measurements to provide the optimal three-dimensional (3D) orientation of the sensors’ axis systems in real time. The method combines Euler–Cardan angles and rotation matrix for attitude and heading representation estimation and deals with the “gimbal lock” problem. The mathematical formulation of the method is based on Kalman filter and takes into account the computational cost required for operation on mobile devices as well as the characteristics of the low-cost microelectromechanical sensors. The method was implemented, debugged, and evaluated in a desktop software utility by using a low-cost sensor system, and it was tested in an augmented reality application on an Android mobile device, while its efficiency was evaluated experimentally.

Este trabalho tem por objetivo aplicar uma das técnicas de programação multiobjetivo (goal programming) em um problema florestal brasileiro mediante de um estudo de caso realizado na Fazenda Santa Cândida, em General Carneiro, Paraná. As áreas dessa fazenda podem ser manejadas para corte de madeira (Pinus e de espécies nativas), corte de folhas de erva-mate para chá ou chimarrão, pastagens e turismo. A administração da fazenda também tem a preocupação de aumentar a diversidade da flora e da fauna de suas áreas, incrementar as áreas de proteção ambiental e manter os empregos no empreendimento. Goal programming foi utilizado para desenvolver um projeto de alocação de terra, no qual todas as metas da fazenda seriam atingidas o mais próximo possível do ideal, de forma a atender todas as restrições operacionais consideradas. Em goal programming, o conceito de solução ótima da Programação Linear é substituído por uma solução satisfatória (não-dominada). Várias soluções podem ser obtidas, e a melhor solução dependerá da prioridade associada a cada meta.

O Brasil é o principal produtor de arroz fora do continente asiático. Durante seu beneficiamento, são gerados em média 14% de quirera, representando perda econômica para o setor arrozeiro do país. Porém, esse resíduo tem enorme potencial para ser utilizado na indústria alimentícia. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a aplicabilidade da quirera de arroz na produção de salgadinho extrusado. O salgadinho de quirera de arroz foi avaliado sensorialmente, através de testes de aceitabilidade e intenção de compra, e quimicamente, através da composição centesimal. O salgadinho extrusado de quirera de arroz sabor queijo apresentou boa aceitabilidade, apesar de perda nos escores de aparência e cor, quando comparado ao salgadinho extrusado de milho elaborado pela mesma empresa. Os salgadinhos extrusados demonstraram menor teor de umidade, mesmo teor de proteína e maior teor de cinza, lipídios e fibras, quando comparados à quirera de arroz nativa. As alterações promovidas na quirera de arroz pela extrusão possibilitam sua aplicação comercial.Brazil is the main producer of rice outside the Asiatic continent. During the manufacturing, about 14% of broken rice are generated, which represents economic loss for the country's rice industry. Nevertheless, this residual product has enormous potential for using in food industry. The aim of the study was to evaluate the applicability of broken rice in the extruded snack formulation. The snack was sensory evaluated by testing acceptability and purchase intent, and chemically, by centesimal composition. The snacks of broken rice cheese flavor showed good sensorial acceptability, in spite of the loss in appearance and color scores when compared to the corn ones prepared by the same company. The extruded snacks showed lower moisture content, equal levels of protein and higher levels of ash, fat and fiber when compared to native broken rice. The changes promoted in broken rice by extrusion made possible its commercial application.

The study evaluated the efficiency of chemical (phosphorylation) and physical (extrusion) modifications of the starch of broken rice. Results demonstrated a reduction in the moisture content of extruded and phosphorylated broken rice and an increase in the ash content of phosphorylated broken rice. Both phosphorylation and extrusion increased cold water binding capacity, swelling power, and solubility. Extruded and phosphorylated pastes were stable under refrigeration, but only extruded paste was stable when submitted to freezing. Phosphorylated paste had the lowest viscosity and the highest stability during heating, while the extruded one gelatinized without heating, but had higher losses during heating.

O trigo é um cereal utilizado na fabricação de inúmeros produtos e as indústrias, ao efetuarem a compra desse cereal, observam alguns parâmetros de qualidade industrial, que usualmente são determinados através de testes como peso hectolitro (PH), força de glúten, número de queda, dentre outros, realizados em laboratórios especializados. No Brasil, os maiores produtores de trigo são os Estados do Rio Grande do Sul, do Paraná e de Santa Catarina, onde a variabilidade climática é grande, o que pode ser um fator de influência nos resultados dos testes de qualidade. O objetivo deste trabalho é fazer uma avaliação estatística de algumas variáveis meteorológicas que afetaram a qualidade industrial do trigo em algumas regiões do Estado do Paraná nos anos de 1999, 2000 e 2001, utilizando técnicas da análise estatística multivariada. Assim, ajustou-se um modelo de regressão linear multivariada para se tentar explicar o relacionamento do conjunto de variáveis respostas IQI (da qualidade) com o conjunto de variáveis explicativas IQP. Da mesma forma, estimou-se a correlação canônica entre estes dois conjuntos de variáveis, que expressa o relacionamento entre os dois conjuntos. Os modelos de regressão multivariada desenvolvidos não se mostraram suficientemente eficientes para prever a qualidade em função das variáveis climáticas, porém as correlações canônicas estimadas provaram a existência do relacionamento entre as variáveis de qualidade (IQI) e as variáveis climáticas (IQP).The wheat is a product used in the manufacture of several products. The industries, when effecting the purchase of this cereal, observe some parameters of industrial quality, that can be determined through some tests (weight hectolítro (PH), gluten strength, Falling Number), carried out in specialized laboratories. In Brazil, the main producers of wheat are the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and Santa Catarina, and in these states, the climatic variability is great and this can be a factor of influence in the results of the quality tests. This work research is aimed at making a statistics evaluation, of some meteorological variables that affected the industrial quality of the wheat in some regions of the state of Paraná in the years 1999, 2000 and 2001. This evaluation will be carried out through techniques of the multivaried analysis. Thus, a model of linear regression multivaried was adjusted to try itself to explain the relationship of the set of changeable answers IQI (of the quality) with the set of explicativas variables IQP. In the same way it was esteem canonic correlation enters these two sets of variables, that express the relationship between the two sets. The models of multivaried regression developed weren’t enough efficient to predict the quality concerning the climatic variable, however the canonic correlations estimates proved the existence of the relationship between the variables (IQI) of quality and the climatic variables(IQP).

Esse trabalho busca discutir os significados da gestação e maternidade para adolescentes. Para tanto, foram realizadas oito entrevistas com gestantes adolescentes de 15 a 17 anos de idade, que se encontravam no terceiro trimestre de gestação. A entrevista abordou diferentes questões sobre gestação, maternidade e planos de vida das adolescentes. As respostas foram submetidas a uma análise de conteúdo temática. As falas revelaram que a maternidade pode ser almejada, pois a mesma é percebida como uma a possibilidade de construir a própria família e sentirem-se valorizadas socialmente. Por outro lado, o fenômeno da maternidade na adolescência não pode ser compreendido de uma única maneira, pois diversos fatores contribuem para a ocorrência do mesmo. Destaca-se que é necessário ir além de interpretações reducionistas e simplificadas que não consideram questões contextuais e históricas na compreensão desse fenômeno complexo.

The COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus challenged our everyday life and habits developed in our work and living environment. The highly contagious disease has led the whole world to unprecedented business, humanitarian and human challenges. But, as always, any risk can be recognized as a new opportunity. Thus, people around the world have redefined their understanding of health and well-being. However, it is important to recognize that people across the world and in different industries will continue to take advantage of this large-scale experiment caused by the pandemic and may choose to rethink established concepts, habits, and policies. This paper aims to explore students' Covid-19 digital health literacy (HL) at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". A standardized questionnaire and scale were used, which aims in providing the ability to compare the results with other students from other countries, and specialties. The results so far show students reported high levels of digital HL, and an ability to use various sources of information. Our students have strong skills in searching for information; use reasonable criteria to perceive the information, but face some issues when sharing information on social media. The collected results can be used as an instrument to evaluate the current state and propose steps for the future improvement of lifelong learning priorities, both for students and the general public. Atualmente, os cursos de extensão servem para complementar os conhecimentos em determinada área, visando a proporcionar oportunidades de desenvolvimento social e humano, além da difusão do conhecimento. Objetivou-se, com a pesquisa ora relatada neste artigo, capacitar os participantes de um curso de extensão quanto à importância da alimentação e da qualidade de vida, investigando, posteriormente, as mudanças de conduta do grupo constituído para essa qualificação. A pesquisa qualiquantitativa possui perfil descritivo e utiliza a técnica de levantamento de dados para investigar o propósito. Participaram de um curso extensão sobre alimentação e qualidade de vida, na cidade de Faxinal do Soturno, RS, adultos de idades diversificadas. Para complementar os dados, foi aplicado um questionário com o intuito de analisar, entre outras informações, a motivação pela qual os participantes buscaram o curso. Observou-se que a maioria dos participantes realizou o curso na busca de novos conhecimentos. Verificou-se também que mais da metade dos participantes relataram estarem bastante motivados e estimulados para o mesmo. A maioria salientou o entusiasmo por experimentar novas experiências em relação à aprendizagem, principalmente quando elas agregam conhecimentos que vão além da vida profissional. Dessa forma, ressalta-se a importância da consecução de cursos de extensão sobre diversos temas que atinjam a comunidade, de forma a expandir o conhecimento para além das escolas e universidades.

A adolescência é vivida como um período marcado por conflitos, adaptações e mudanças biopsicossociais pelos jovens. Assim, uma gravidez durante este período pode assumir diferentes conseqüências para a vida dos jovens. O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender como se construiu a noção da gestação na adolescência como um problema de saúde pública, e quais são as diferentes possibilidades de compreensão desse fenômeno, apresentadas pela literatura atual. Para isso, foi realizado um levantamento não sistemático da literatura sobre o assunto, visando identificar, especialmente, artigos que apresentam mais de uma visão sobre esse fenômeno. São observadas concepções ambivalentes sobre a gravidez na adolescência, sendo que tanto perdas quanto ganhos são associados à gestação durante esse momento do desenvolvimento humano. Mudanças nas esferas econômicas, sociais, físicas e psíquicas da adolescente são relatadas, significado positivo ou negativo do fenômeno está diretamente relacionado ao contexto familiar e sócio cultural no qual a adolescente está inserida.

The creation of Smart Cities is an emerging research and application field that has the objective to increase city resilience and improve the quality of life for citizens. In this paper an extensive and thorough gap analysis that was performed in the framework of the SMURBS 1 1 https://smurbs.eu/ project is presented. The gap analysis identified 117 gaps in the legal, methodological, and technological framework, in the thematic areas of air quality, disasters, urban growth and migration.
