Bu tez çalışmasında, riskten kaçınma ve arbitraj fiyatlama teorisi ilkeleri bir araya getirilerek eksik piyasalarda koşullu taleplerin değerlemesi için yeni bir yol önerilmektedir. Lambda-kazanç kayıp fırsatları konseptindeki fiyatlama problemi, kayıpların koşullu riske maruz değer (CVaR) kullanılarak modellenmesi koşulu altında tekrar değerlendirilmektedir. Önerilen model, yatırımcıların lambda parametresi üzerine kısıtlama getirerek tercihlerini belirleyebilmelerine imkan sağlamaktadır. Risk ölçütü olarak CVaR kullanılması, oluşabilecek aşırı kayıpların hesaba katılabilmesini sağlamakta ve daha ihtiyatlı bir sonuç vermektedir.Fiyatlama problemi, kesikli zaman, çoklu periyot bir stokastik lineer optimizasyon ortamında çalışılmaktadır. Model, koşullu taleplerin satıcılarının ve alıcılarının bakış açılarını da içerecek şekilde genişletilmiştir. Dualite kullanılarak, piyasada koşullu talepler icin CVAR-lambda kazanç kayıp fırsatı içermeyen bir fiyat aralığı tespit edilmiştir. Dualite sonuçları uygun martingale ölçütlerine geçiş imkanı sağlamış; bu sayede fiyat aralığı martingale ölçütleri cinsinden de ifade edilmiştir. Bu fiyat aralığının arbitraj fiyatlama teorisi ile tespit edilen aralıktan daha dar olduğu gösterilmiştir. Buna ek olarak, farklı güvenilirlik seviyeleri kullanılarak, riskten kaçınma parametresine göre numerik bir çalışma yapılmıştır. 10 Eylül 2002 S&P 500 indeksinde yer alan 48 Avrupa tipi alım ve satım opsiyonu için fiyatlar hesaplanmış; fiyatı hesaplanan opsiyon dışındaki opsiyonlar piyasa varlıkları olarak kabul edilmiştir. Elde ettiğimiz fiyat sınırlarının gerçek alımsatım değerlerine oldukça yakın olması, önerdiğimiz modelin iyi bir fiyat aralığı belirlediğini göstermektedir. We combine the principles of risk aversion and no-arbitrage pricing and propose an alternative way for pricing and hedging contingent claims in incomplete markets.We re-consider the pricing problem under the condition that the losses aremodeled by the measure of CVaR in the concept of lambda gain-loss opportunities.The proposed model enables investors to specify their preferences by putting restrictions on the parameter lambda that stands for risk aversion. Using CVaR as a measure of risk enables us to account for extreme losses and yield a conservative result. The pricing problem is studied in discrete time, multi-period, stochastic linear optimization environment with a finite probability space. We extend our model to include the perspectives of writers and buyers of the contingent claims.We use duality to establish a pricing interval of the contingent claims excluding CVaR-lambda gain-loss opportunities in the market. Duality results also provide a way for passing to appropriate martingale measures and we express the pricing interval also in terms of martingale measures. This pricing interval is shown to be tighter than the no-arbitrage bounds. We also present a numerical study of our work with respect to the risk aversion parameter lambda and in various levels of confidence. We compute prices of the the writers and buyers of 48 European call and put options on the S&P500 index on September 10, 2002 using the remaining options as market traded assets. It is possible to say that our proposed model yields good bounds as most of the bounds we obtained are very close to the true bid and ask values. 79

Bu çalışmada, poli(etilenteraftalat) lif üzerinde pirolün potasyum persülfat kullanarakkimyasal polimerizasyonu ile iletken lif sentezlendi. Sentezlenen PET/PPy kompozitlifinin içerdiği polipirolün miktarı ve kompozit liflerin yüzey direnci üzerineyükseltgen türü, asit türü, sıcaklık, polimerizasyon zamanı, şişirme süresi, monomer,yükseltgen ve asit derişimi gibi polimerizasyon koşullarının etkisi araştırıldı.En düşük yüzey direnci PET lifin yapısına en fazla polipirolün girdiği; çözücü türü:sulu ortam, [Pirol] : 0.04 M, [HCl]: 0.4 M ve [K2S2O8]:0.04 M koşullarında bulundu.Kimyasal Polimerizasyon için en uygun sıcaklığın 40 °C zamanın ise 2 saat olduğubelirlendi. Sıcaklığın 40 °C'den 60 °C'ye kadar arttırılması veya 40 °C'den 20 °C'yekadar düşürülmesi ile PET/PPy liflerin veriminin azaldığı gözlendi.Hazırlanan kompozit liflerin içerdikleri polipirol miktarı gravimetrik yolla belirlendi,PET/PPy kompozit liflerin karakterizasyonu yoğunluk ve yüzey dirençleri ölçümü,FTIR spektroskopisi, TGA ve SEM teknikleri ile yapıldı.Anahtar Kelimeler: İletken lif, kimyasal polimerizasyon, polipirol,poli(etilenteraftalat) lif In this study, the chemical polymerization of pyrrole was carried out using potassiumpersulfate oxidant upon poly(ethylene terephthalate) fiber. The change of the yieldand conductivity of PET/PPy synthesized was investigated with parameters such asspecies of solvent, species of oxidant, temperature, polymerization time, theconcentrations of pyrrole, oxidant and acids.The optimum conditions for the highest amount of polypyrrole impregnated into PETfiber and conductivity of PET/PPy were found as; [Pyrrole] : 0.04 M, [HCl] : 0,4 M,[K2S2O8]:0.04 M, polymerization time: 2 hours. The optimum temperature was 40 °Cfor the chemical reaction. It was observed that the yield of PET/PPy decreased withtemperature increase in the range of 40 °C- 60 °C and 20°C- 40 °C.The properties of the PET/PPy such as density and diameter were examined and theconducting fiber was characterised by the use of thermogravimetric analysis, scanningelectron microscopy and infrared spectroscopy.Key Words: Conducting fiber, chemical polymerization, polyprrole, poly(ethyleneterephthalate) fiber 136

Prof. Dr. Vedat TOPRAK June 2001, 91 Pages This study deals with the analysis and evaluation of geophysical data within the ancient city located on Kerkenes Mountain. 1424 units of subsurface features are identified and digitized from geomagnetic map. An algorithm is developed to investigate the relationship between landscape and subsurface data. This algorithm involves following steps: 1) Elevation, slope and aspect values for the landscape are obtained from GPS data, 2) Elevation, slope and aspect values of the subsurface data are derived from digitized data, 3) Corresponding histograms of these values are subtracted from each other to define the threshold values, 4) Landscape which is out of threshold values are discarded from digital map. The analysis indicate that most of subsurface features are located on 4 to 10 degree slopes, 1290 to 1319 m elevation oriented in NE-SW and NW-SE directions. 49 SUMMARY Somatostatin is distributed in the substantia gelatinosa in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord, and its application has been found to produce an inhibitory effect on nociceptive neurons. Although intraspinal administration of somatostatin- 14 produces pain relief in patients with cancer and in postoperative patients, its half- time limits its clinical usefulness. Octreotide, synthetic analog of somatostatin, is more stable and has not been associated with neurodegenerative changes when administrated intrathecally in dogs, lndium-111 pentetreotide ( 111ln pentetreotide ) is a radioligand designed for in vivo imaging from octreotide, a somatostatin analog. Recent studies have shown that somatostatin produces analgesia when it is used epidurally and intrathecally. It has been shown that naloxan antagonizes antinociceptive effects of somatostatin so it should be effective on opioid reseptors. Although opioid receptors are involved in the medication of analgesia by somatostatin in rats, administration intravenous and intramusculer naloxan to patient had no effect on the analgesia provided by epidural somatostatin. Recently, somatostatin receptors were shown to exist throught the central nervous system, so it seems likely that somatostatin acts on its own receptor sites, which need not necessarily be opioid receptor sites. In this study we tried to make clear whether somatostatine is effective on opioid receptors or not. We used 111ln pentetreotide for radionuclide imaging of the epidural space. 20 male New Zealand rabbits ( weight range:2000-2500 gr ) were seperated into 4 groups ( 5 of each ) with random sampling. Group 1 ( n=5 ): Only 100 [iC/ 111ln pentetreotide was administrated epidurally, Group 2 ( n=5 ): 100 nCi 111ln pentetreotide was administrated 15 minutes after 200ig octreotide, Group 3 ( n=5 ): 100 ^iCi 111ln pentetreotide was administrated 15 minutes after 0,1 mg morphine had been administrated, Group 4 ( n=5 ): Control group 100 jiCi Tc 99m DTPA was administrated epidurally. For quantitavive evaluation regions of interest ( ROI ) were drawn on epidural space and time-activity curves were generated. The first 17. minutes of the curves were used to calculate clearance half time of fast component ( 1 1/2-1 7.min ) and 67. minutes of the curves were used to calculate total clearance half time ( t 1/2-67.min ). Analysis of variance was used for statistical analysis. 111 In pentetreotide had slower clearance than Tc 99m DTPA and this might be due to binding of 111ln pentetreotide to some receptor in epidural space. In order to test this condition, initially unlabeled octreotide was given to block receptors and clearance of 111ln pentetreotide was found faster. When unlabeled morphine was given first, clearance rate of 111ln pentetreotide does not interact with opioid receptors and probably binds to somatostatin receptors. 61

Objectives: the aim of this study is to identify the epidemiological, clinical, and laboratory features of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in children.Methods: a retrospective study was conducted by pediatric infectious disease specialists from 32 different hospitals from all over Turkey by case record forms. Pediatric cases who were diagnosed as COVID-19 between March 16, 2020, and June 15, 2020 were included. Case characteristics including age, sex, dates of disease onset and diagnosis, family, and contact information were recorded. Clinical data, including the duration and severity of symptoms, were also collected. Laboratory parameters like biochemical tests and complete blood count, chest X-ray, and chest computed tomography (CT) were determined. Results: there were 1,156 confirmed pediatric COVID-19 cases. In total, male cases constituted 50.3% (n = 582) and females constituted 49.7% (n = 574). The median age of the confirmed cases was 10.75 years (4.5-14.6). Of the total cases, 90 were younger than 1 year of age (7.8%), 108 were 1-3 years of age (9.3%), 148 were 3-6 years of age (12.8%), 298 were 6-12 years of age (25.8%), 233 were 12-15 years of age (20.2%), and 268 cases were older than 15 years of age (23.2%). The most common symptom of the patients at the first visit was fever (50.4%) (n = 583) for a median of 2 days (IQR: 1-3 days). Fever was median at 38.4 degrees C (38.0-38.7 degrees C). The second most common symptom was cough (n = 543, 46.9%). The other common symptoms were sore throat (n = 143, 12.4%), myalgia (n = 141, 12.2%), dyspnea (n = 118, 10.2%), diarrhea (n = 112, 9.7%), stomachache (n = 71, 6.1%), and nasal discharge (n = 63, 5.4%). When patients were classified according to disease severity, 263 (22.7%) patients were asymptomatic, 668 (57.7%) patients had mild disease, 209 (18.1%) had moderate disease, and 16 (1.5%) cases had severe disease. One hundred and forty-nine (12.9%) cases had underlying diseases among the total cases; 56% of the patients who had severe disease had an underlying condition (p < 0.01). The need for hospitalization did not differ between patients who had an underlying condition and those who do not have (p = 0.38), but the need for intensive care was higher in patients who had an underlying condition (p < 0.01). Forty-seven (31.5%) of the cases having underlying conditions had asthma or lung disease (38 of them had asthma). Conclusions: to the best of our knowledge, this is one of the largest pediatric data about confirmed COVID-19 cases. Children from all ages appear to be susceptible to COVID-19, and there is a significant difference in symptomatology and laboratory findings by means of age distribution., NA

Objective: in the early stages of any epidemic caused by new emerging pathogens healthcare personnel is subject to a great risk. Pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2, proved to be no exception. Many healthcare workers died in the early stages of pandemic due to inadequate precautions and insufficient protection. It is essential to protect and maintain the safety of healthcare personnel for the confinement of pandemic as well as continuity of qualified healthcare services which is already under strain. Educating healthcare personnel on appropiate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is as essential as procuring them. Material and methods: a survey is conducted on 4927 healthcare personnel working solely with pediatric patients from 32 different centers. Education given on PPE usage were questioned and analyzed depending on age, sex, occupation and region. Results: among four thousand nine hundred twelve healthcare personnel from 32 different centers 91% (n=4457) received education on PPE usage. Of those who received education only 36% was given both theoretical and applied education. Although there was no differences among different occupation groups, receiving education depended on regions. Conclusion: it is essential to educate healthcare personnel appropiately nationwidely for the continuity of qualified healthcare services during the pandemic. / Giriş: yeni ortaya çıkan patojenlerin neden olduğu salgınların erken dönemleri sağlık çalışanları için büyük bir risk taşımaktadır. SARS-CoV-2’nin neden olduğu pandemide de durum farklı olmamış, alınan yetersiz önlemler ve kişisel korunma eksikliği nedenleriyle pandemi başlangıcında birçok sağlık çalışanı hayatını kaybetmiştir. Sağlık çalışanlarının koruması ve güvenli ortamda çalışmalarının devamlılığının sağlanması sağlık hizmetlerinin aksamamasının yanında salgının sınırlandırması içinde gereklidir. Kişisel koruyucu ekipmaların kullanımı ile ilgili eğitimlerin verilmesi, gerekli durumlarda güncellenmesi koruyucu ekipmanların sağlanması kadar önemlidir. Gereç ve yöntemler: otuz iki farklı merkezde çocuklara sağlık hizmeti veren 4927 sağlık personeli üzerinde anket uygulanmış, kişisel koruyucu ekipman kullanımı konusunda alınan eğitim değerlendirilmiş, yaş, cinsiyet, meslek ve bölgesel farklılıkların eğitim alma üzerine etki edip etmediği değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: otuz iki farklı merkezden 4927 sağlık çalışanın katıldığı çalışmada, 4457 (%91) sağlık çalışanın kişisel koruyucu ekipmaların kullanımı ile ilgili eğitim aldığı saptanmış, yalnızca %36’sının hem teorik hem de uygulamalı eğitim aldığı bulunmuştur. Meslek grupları arasında eğitim alma yönünden fark görülmezken, bölgelere göre eğitim alıp almamada anlamlı fark olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç: tüm bölgelerde sağlık personelinin kişisel korunma konusunda eğitilmesi ve verilen eğitimin denetimi ve sürekliliği kaliteli sağlık hizmetlerinin devamlılığı için gereklidir., NA
