The organizations need proficient, interested and contended employees for successful performance. It is important to understand wider contexts and to see the importance of own work person satisfaction. The employees have to be well informed about the organization performance as well as about the long-term organizational goals. Not all employees have economic knowledge and ability to find organizational data in particular materials (annual reports). But management is able to offer employees the development and education focused on building-up economic awareness. The organizations commonly enhance employees' knowledge by using trainings and seminars which usually put focus on specified information connected to their job position and direct requirements to their function. There are missing meetings, which enable employees' scope extension and get general and cross-sectional knowledge about the company activities and its operation in the market. Management should set up the seminars to inform about long-term goals, economic outcomes implemented into the wider context of business sector and development. These seminars also enable employees meetings from different departments, their mutual communication and information exchange on informal bases. The contribution is a part of research project VEGA 1/0156/08 "Key managerial competencies in the range of specific functional management areas and their applicable development concepts". It is based on research realized in conditions of business practice in Slovakia. The research was focused on investigation the employees' knowledge about their organization and how this knowledge extension influence employees relationship to the employer. The contribution discusses the effect, which managers can have from such an information transfer within the organization. Therefore, in the article are presented, not only outcomes of this research, but also the experience and authors recommendations. These recommendations eventuated from practice in real business conditions; were testified in concrete situations and enabled positively influence employees attitudes and the relationship to management and organization. The authors have mutual experience with projecting and trainings and seminars realization focused on information transfer improvement in business sphere. The authors present experiences as one of the possibilities for building-up employees awareness in the sphere of complex organization functioning in the article. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

(DIPF/Verlag), Lack of accessibility can limit participation. In the context of physical education (PE), this also applies to the sports hall as a part of the learning environment. The higher education seminar Eine Halle für alle den Lernort Sporthalle barrierefrei gestalten aims to enable pre-service PE teachers to identify potential barriers in the sports hall and to strengthen them in dealing with them. The seminar concept aims to bridge theory and practice and is based on the characteristics of situated learning. It was evaluated through a qualitative interview study. The evaluation was based on the perspective of the students and focuses on the one hand on the implementation of the characteristics of situated learning and on the other hand on the learning object 'The barrier-free sports hall'. In this article, the seminar concept and evaluation results are presented.

The Covid-19 pandemic caused many sudden social changes, including a shift to remote education in many countries. In Finland, remote education also concerns crafts as a standard school subject, combining aspects of art, design, textile, and technology in basic education. Accordingly, Finnish craft teachers faced the unprecedented situation of teaching remotely a subject, which often involves hands-on activities with tangible tools and materials. The present study explores how craft pedagogy has been adapted to remote education by looking at the opportunities and challenges it faces and the effects on classroom interaction. The data consist of the output of two webinars (i.e. 27 group assignments from 123 participants) organised in the autumn of 2020 and targeted at craft teachers and student craft teachers at various levels of the education system. The qualitative, data-driven content analysis reveals that remote teaching provides beneficial opportunities for involving students’ everyday lives and families in craft education. However, challenges exist relating to the unequal distribution of materials, as well as technical and social resources at different levels of education and in various contexts. Our study also finds that remote teaching is more teacher-centred and task-oriented than classroom interaction. Online teaching facilities allow teachers to provide students with more individual feedback but make maintaining students’ peer interaction difficult. Although remote craft education was considered very challenging at first, teachers have managed to create useful pedagogical practices to be utilised in and beyond the era of the Covid-19 pandemic.

- Abstract
Objective. To compare outcomes (grades, resources, and perceptions) from a weekly in-person seminar capstone course (pre-revision group) to an intensive hybrid course design that included a two-day, in-person conference (10- and 25-minute student presentations) and asynchronous seminar skills sessions (post-revision group). Methods. Students' scores on seminar presentation rubrics were compared before and after the course revision. Between the groups, we compared resources, such as number of faculty and hours of involvement, and student time away from advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPEs). We also assessed student and faculty satisfaction and perception. Comparisons between groups were made using statistical tests, and descriptive statistics were used to summarize student performance and survey responses. Results. The study included 370 students, 205 in the pre-revision group and 165 in the post-revision group. No significant difference was found in mean overall scores for the 25-minute presentation between groups; however, the post-revision group had significantly lower subscores for objectives and slides and significantly higher subscores for critical analysis. The survey was completed by 82% of faculty and 43% of students from the class of 2018. Most students (80%) found all of the asynchronous sessions helpful, and 70.6% preferred the intensive hybrid course format. Compared to the weekly format, all faculty reported student presentations were similar or better in quality and workload was similar or decreased with the intensive hybrid format. Conclusion. Changing the senior seminar capstone course to an intensive hybrid design reduced faculty workload and decreased student time away from APPEs while maintaining similar presentation grades and quality., (© 2023 American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.)

Aim. The aim of this research is to emphasize the motivational expression and development of the Bachelor's degree students, through their involvement in the motivation and self-motivation process during the seminar classes. Material & methods. This paper is an experimental study carried out on a number of 30 students from two groups, an experimental one (15 students) and a control one (15 students). Results have highlighted a higher level recorded for the experimental group compared to the control group, after the practical intervention regarding the value mean in the assessment of the knowledge and of the results of their skill assessment records. As an objective, we intended to present the motivational development, during a semester (the first semester of the 2013-2014 academic year). As research methods, we used: the bibliographic study, testing, case study, graphical method. Results. Results have been centralised on age categories, are listed in the tables and graphically represented. They are considered in two groups and highlight the increase of motivation and the behaviour's improvement. Conclusions. The conclusions drawn underline a positive evolution of students' behaviour towards seminar classes, their collaboration with the teacher and their attitude towards their fellow students. The hypothesis according to which students' motivation during the seminar classes can help to improve their behaviour has been validated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Need of a theological seminary in Cenad Diocese was an ever stringent one beginning with the second half of the 18
th century, with the diocesan territory liberation from the Ottoman domination and the religious Roman-Catholic life sudden change in that part of Europe. Preceded by the medieval school of Cenad Cathedral Capitlum, the modern Theological Seminary in Timişoara was open in 1806 by Bishop Ladislaus Köszeghy. Initially it functioned in the former Jesuit monks' residence nearby St. George Church, that academic institute was moved in the summer of 1914 in a modern building, with competitive professors and teaching methods. With the Romanian administration establishing, the institution had to follow the Romanian educational system, and to face great difficulties beginning especially with 1944. It is abusively abolished by the communist regime in 1947, its building being nationalized and distributed to the Faculty of Medicine [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

The Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has rapidly spread in Africa, with a total of 474,592 confirmed cases by 11thJuly 2020. Consequently, all policy makers and health workers urgently need to be trained and to access the most credible information to contain and mitigate its impact. While the need for rapid training and information dissemination has increased, most of Africa is implementing public health social and physical distancing measures. Responding to this context requires broad partnerships and innovative virtual approaches to disseminate new insights, share best practices, and create networked communities of practice for all teach, and all learn. The World Health Organization (WHO)-Africa region, in collaboration with the Extension for Community Health Outcome (ECHO) Institute at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC), the West Africa college of nurses and the East Central and Southern Africa college of physicians, private professional associations, academia and other partners has embarked on a virtual training programme to support the containment of COVID-19. Between 1stApril 2020 and 10thJuly 2020, about 7,500 diverse health professionals from 172 locations in 58 countries were trained in 15 sessions. Participants were from diverse institutions including: central ministries of health, WHO country offices, provincial and district hospitals and private medical practitioners. A range of critical COVID-19 preparedness and response interventions have been reviewed and discussed. There is a high demand for credible information from credible sources about COVID-19. To mitigate the“epidemic of misinformation”partnerships for virtual trainings and information dissemination leveraging existing learning platforms and networks across Africa will augment preparedness and response to COVID-19.

In this introduction we suggest a number of ways that mood has been and can be a productive way to approach various forms of labour including: the emotional expenditure of those that care either professionally or as 'voluntary' labourers; the pedagogic labour of teaching; and the mood work of the state and the media. The introduction also introduces the main themes of the essays in this special issue. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Having oral language as an important tool in the communication process and the hypothesis that systematic work with oral genders can provide a better performance of the students' communicative competence, the present study has as a general objective to work the gender seminar as a teaching object through a didactic sequence, based on (SCHNEUWLY; DOLZ, 2004). The specific objectives are: to investigate the teaching of oral modality orality in the didactic material; to exercise skills and practices in structuring, organizing and presenting seminars; to apply activities that develop communicative competence with a focus on the linguistic and non-linguistic means pertinent to the gender seminar; to identify and know the discursive markers, their functions within the text and their importance in an oral presentation and to produce a folder as a product of the research for the dissemination, among students and teachers of the school, of the stages, organization and structuring of the seminar. The research was conducted in a ninth grade class of the Teodoro Sampaio Municipal School, located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, and followed the methodological orientation of the research-action in which the subjects are also builders (active) of the research (THIOLLENT, 1997). Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) Authors such as Maciel (2013), Veiga (1998), Dell?Isola (2016), Schneuwly end Dolz (2004), Marcuschi (2007), among others, have as theoretical contribution. In addition, a survey has been made of official teaching documents and teaching materials to see how the topic is addressed in these sources. A proposal for an intervention was therefore applied with the intention of making the students able to work on the structure of the seminar, taking into account linguistic and non-linguistic means, their communicative function, their linguistic suitability, especially for the use of discursive markers. Through the corpus of seminars produced, initial production, diagnosis, and final production in the application of the didactic sequence, it was possible to see advances in the development of students' linguistic competence, in the organization and presentation of seminars when applying their knowledge in relation to linguistic and non-linguistic media, there were also advances in relation to linguistic elements such as the use of discursive markers, however, there were difficulties in terms of time. For an even better result, it would be necessary to deepen the linguistic elements relevant to gender, which would require more time. With this result, it is hoped that the problems initially demonstrated by students can be minimized by adopting a systematic teaching approach, involving formal oral gender teaching in the classroom.

A paradigm can be defined as the basis of choice for solving scientific problems, a model, and an example of solving scientific problems. The educational paradigm is a set of theoretical prerequisites that determine the approaches to building the educational process and the educational practice itself (the development of pedagogical tasks, styles of interaction of the educational process participants, etc.). The educational paradigm, at first glance, is part of the scientific paradigm, but the fact that it reflects the personal philosophy of the teacher who creates the educational process should not be ignored.

The impact of cyberbullying includes mental health problems and an increased risk of suicide. Psychiatric nurses play an important role in reducing the impact of cyberbullying on students. Nurses, educators, and counselors also play a role to prevent cyberbullying by improving awareness. The purpose of this study is to explore the awareness and involvement of mental nurses and their motivation and confidence in preventing cyberbullying. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experimental pre-post tests study. The sample in this study included 192 respondents. Data analysis used a t-test (pair t-test). This study shows that seminars about cyberbullying and Triple-P e-Parenting are effective in increasing nurses’ awareness regarding the incidence of cyberbullying in adolescents (p < 0.001). The aspects that influence the increase in awareness of mental nurses are attitude (p < 0.001) and parenting (p < 0.001). Awareness of nurses as parents related to cyberbullying is important to prevent cyberbullying in adolescents. Seminars about cyberbullying, the role of parents, and how to prevent cyberbullying are effective in preventing cyberbullying in adolescents by paying attention to the experiences of parents who have children affected by cyberbullying., Competing Interests: The authors declare no conflict of interest.

Introduction. This study presents an experience developed with PhD students aimed to analyze the extent to which career self-management should be approached along with entrepreneurship issues to promote students’ career development.Method. An intervention group who attended a Career Self-Management Seminar (EG1), a comparison group who attended the CSMS followed by a Seminar on Entrepreneurship (EG2), and a control group (CG) were compared, in three different moments (pre-test, post-test, and follow-up).Results. Results at an intra and inter-group level indicate that the EG1 and the EG2 significantly increased the extent of self-exploration, the intended-systematic exploration, and the amount of acquired information over time, and also their concerns related to holding and up-dating their careers. According to the longitudinal research plan, the EG1 participants benefited most of this career intervention.Discussion and Conclusion. The results suggest the effectiveness of the career seminar in most of the career development measures, particularly in comparison with the non-intervention. Implications are drawn to the development of career services and interventions that promote a reflection about entrepreneurship as a career path

McGill's Macdonald Campus FRACTAL program is a relatively new initiative that provides freshman (U0) students with the structure and academic skills necessary for a smooth transition into all aspects of university life. Central to this initiative are three leading factors: (a) the program director and the academic advisor are also professors for the majority of the freshman courses, (b) the freshman seminar course combines academic advising with study and life skills coaching, (c) an exhibition-style Majors' Fair at the end of freshman year displays the available programs of study. This integrated approach of teaching and (intrusive) advising, the use of STEM research-based best-practices, along with the latest teaching technology in the classroom, has drastically reduced the number of students on academic probation, while also increasing retention.

The purpose of this multi-campus study was to determine how participating in a first-year seminar impacts students during the first semester of college. In the years since the first credit-bearing first-year seminar was offered at Reed College in 1911 (Gordon & Grites, 1984), many campuses have created seminars that address a variety of subject matter and meet the needs of an institution and its students. The customized nature of contemporary seminars has caused much of the course assessment and research to focus on measuring the impact of these institution-specific courses on retention (Porter & Swing, 2006). Qualitative methods were used in this study to identify additional ways first-year seminar participation influences the early college experience of students enrolled in the course. The study found that participating in a first-year seminar contributed to students' feelings of confidence in academic skills and abilities, as well as the connections they developed with their peers and seminar instructor. Several aspects of the first-year seminars in this study, including the content and ways in which the course was taught, were found to contribute to the perceptions of the participants.

[english] Despite the standard of knowledge about gender-specific smoking behavior and sex-related characteristics in tobacco-attributable diseases, physicians do not feel competent in providing adequate prevention strategies against both female and male smoking. To address this problem, a seminar on smoking prevention has been developed and evaluated as part of the compulsory interdisciplinary subject “Prevention and Health Promotion” at Hannover Medical School. Supporting this aim, a parallel lecture on the theme is offered. The seminar is composed of four teaching units. They contrast sex- and gender-unspecific factors with specific ones. Using substantively related worksheets, students acquire knowledge within small teams. Interactive education is based on the concept of cooperative learning. The seminar was conducted seven times between July 2006 and July 2008. In total, 145 (94 female/51 male) students attended the seminar; 25% of the students said they were smokers. The students showed a significantly higher level of sex- and gender-related acceptance after completion of the seminars than before. No association was found between increase in acceptance and student sex or smoking behavior. The extensive sex and gender awareness cultivated within the seminars involves the gender identity of medical students, teachers, and patients alike. Information transfer is characterized by sex and gender sensitivity at the levels of content, language, and process.[german] Wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse der letzten Jahre bestätigen die Bedeutung von Geschlechtsspezifika im Rauchverhalten und Auftreten tabakassoziierter Erkrankungen.

- Abstract
A paradigm can be defined as the basis of choice for solving scientific problems, a model, and an example of solving scientific problems. The educational paradigm is a set of theoretical prerequisites that determine the approaches to building the educational process and the educational practice itself (the development of pedagogical tasks, styles of interaction of the educational process participants, etc.). The educational paradigm, at first glance, is part of the scientific paradigm, but the fact that it reflects the personal philosophy of the teacher who creates the educational process should not be ignored.

- Abstract
The development of an undergraduate major in toxicology at Nazareth College provided the opportunity to develop a one-credit Principles of Toxicology Seminar designed to address ethical reasoning skills and communication (both oral and written), areas which can be challenging to address in traditional courses and which have been noted to be areas of deficiency in toxicology graduates. The seminar is a co-requisite to Principles of Toxicology, the introductory course in the major, and is built around the study of 5-7 environmental issues selected by the students. The issues are introduced through readings, documentaries, and student small group oral “environmental issue presentations.” Students then write “policy papers” through which they survey the primary literature to determine the health effects of the chemical(s) implicated in the issue and make a determination of whether they believe the data support the current exposure limits set by regulatory agencies. Student evaluations of the seminar using the IDEA metric indicate substantial progress on objectives related to critical thinking and oral and written communication skill development, among others, as well as overall very positive views on the seminar itself and the field of toxicology. Thus, this seminar may serve as a pedagogical model of a course that engages students with real-world environmental issues of interest to them, while facilitating the development of the ethical reasoning and communication skills that can be challenging to address in the traditional curriculum.

- Abstract
This paper presents the general lines of the design of a Social Entrepreneurship Seminar, taking up the strategies applied together for its implementation, as well as the way in which its planning and implementation will contribute to the academic and institutional efforts to investigate in a relevant and open way for the surrounding community. The social entrepreneurship seminar is presented in this text as a training strategy, as an element of attracting human resources for research. Thought as a strategy that contributes to the strengthening of the research area of the University Center of the North, where it is intended, through concrete training actions to contribute to the generation of young researchers, so that, in this case, these young people can contribute and participate in the project: Development of an educational intervention model for the training of social entrepreneurs in the Northern region of the State of Jalisco. Thus, the thematic components related to the area of social entrepreneurship are presented, as well as those issues and needs that have been covered through this planning and training process. Together these training strategies lead us to reflect on the need to incorporate the research exercise in an increasingly early and practical way, conforming not only through its theoretical components, but especially in the exercise of thinking and discussing the way we generate knowledge and apply this to the social environment that surrounds us, Este trabajo presenta las líneas generales del diseño de un Seminario de emprendimiento social, retomando las estrategias aplicadas en conjunto para su implementación, así como, la forma en que su planificación e implementación contribuirán con los esfuerzos académicos e institucionales de investigar en forma pertinente y abierta para la comunidad del entorno.
