Based on modern information technology, an automated system for monitoring and controlling the processes of combustion and burning of fuel in the metallurgical, chemical, and oil refining industries has been developed using the example of the use of a ВН-60 gas detector equipped with an improved alarm sensor that converts the signal about the concentration of the analyzed gas in the ambient air into gas analyzer readings. For this purpose, a methodology has been developed for making managerial decisions on managing the process based on the results of analytical monitoring and gas analysis of the environment. The combustibility of natural gas (methane) was studied and the technical characteristics of the proposed gas detector were given. The structure, as well as the algorithmic and software of the automated system for monitoring the gaseous environment of industrial production, have been developed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
