Much of the resistance and, at times, outright condemnation of including transgender individuals in sports continue to draw upon "scientific" arguments, despite the acknowledged importance of sociocultural and (geo)political factors, resulting in a constructed "either science or human rights" landscape. In this article, I analyze historical scientifically driven International Olympic Committee documents and policies from the Olympic Studies Center to examine if and how sport organizations, such as the International Olympic Committee, have historically balanced these seemingly partitioned considerations in previous regulatory documents, especially those relating to sex, gender, fairness, and protection. Using Sheila Jasanoff's co-production, I find that, while knowledge informing policies sometimes circulates biologized gender stereotypes, sociocultural and scientific goals have, can, and should exist in cohesion rather than in contradiction. Because I have so little time in which to tackle such a basic and important issue I shall limit myself to sketching the fundamental contradictions and pitfalls that are to be found underneath the smooth presentations of this new discipline of counselling psychology. It seems to me all the more important to take this opportunity to ask some pertinent questions and challenge some of the preconceptions around the aims and objectives of counselling psychology as it will be tempting for most of us to launch headlong into the professionalization of the field in order to achieve credibility. The normative conflict model of dissent predicts how group members will behave when experiencing conflict with the group on a normative basis, as a function of the extent to which they identify with their group. While strongly identified members will dissent and challenge prevailing norms because they have the group's interests in mind, weakly identified members will distance themselves because the group is not important to them. The normative conflict model has so far been empirically examined only in Western populations. The purpose of the present study is to apply the normative conflict model to a collectivist Arab society. Semi‐structured interviews were conducted with 28 young Arabs, graduates of one of the only alternative schools operating in Arab society in Israel. As students, they were exposed to liberal norms that were very different from the dominant norms in Arab society. The findings show that while dissent is the most common practice that the study participants adopt, some of them also distance themselves from society. As opposed to the model's prediction, those who distance themselves do care about their group and feel they belong to it. Findings also reveal that the severity of social sanctions imposed on dissenters motivates them to conform regardless of the conflict with society. The findings are discussed and interpreted in accordance with the normative conflict model. Further examination of the model in the context of additional non‐Western societies is needed. This article explores the concept of non-personal immortality. Non-personal theories of immortality claim that even though there is no personal or individual survival of death, it is still possible to continue to exist in a non-personal state. The most important challenge for non-personal conceptions of immortality is solving the apparent contradiction between on the one hand accepting that individual existence ends with death and on the other hand maintaining that death nevertheless is not equal to total annihilation. I present two theories of non-personal immortality found in Schopenhauer and William James and derive a set of systematic core theses from them. It has been recognized that 'I think a is F', considered as a predicative statement, is peculiar. The peculiarity comes out in Moore's paradox, 'a is F, but I do not think it is'. This statement appears afflicted by an inner tension. But if the logical form of 'I think a is F' is that of a predicative statement, then it is hard to discern a tension in what is said. The correlative statement 'Mrs. Smith thinks a is F' appears to be free from peculiarity. There seems to be no tension in 'a is F; but Mrs. Smith thinks it is not'. Hence lining up 'I think a is F' with 'Mrs. Smith thinks a is F' we can retain our understanding of the former as predicative. This essay will bring out that 'Mrs. Smith thinks a is F' is, if anything, more peculiar than 'I think a is F', and that, should we have been inclined to think of the latter as a predicative statement, consideration of 'Mrs. Smith thinks a is F' must disabuse us of this idea. Preservationist planning broadly describes planning instruments that purport to preserve physical qualities of neighbourhoods by preventing demolition of historic dwellings. Here, we analyse land use conversion of almost 6000 lots in Brisbane, Australia, to understand if, and how, preservationist planning impacts the built environment. Results demonstrate that preservationist planning suppresses multi-family housing construction, even where increased density is encouraged by the planning scheme. We suggest that preservationist planning is exclusionary in nature and not solely focused on built heritage, particularly as substantial modifications to existing dwellings are allowed. This paper presents a neutrosophic study on attitudes towards virtual technology, with a special focus on the "Experience Machine". Employing a methodology that incorporates the theory of indecision and neutrality into response analysis, the perceptions of 50 university students were investigated. Opinions and feelings were transformed into neutrosophic numbers to calculate contradiction and conduct a detailed analysis. The results indicate a predisposition towards agreement with virtual technology, although notable indecision and a significant presence of neutral attitudes were detected. The correlations and clustering methods applied reveal a complex dynamic of attitudes, challenging binary interpretations and highlighting the need for more nuanced strategies. This neutrosophic approach offers new perspectives for the development and marketing of innovative technologies, recognizing the diversity of emotions and opinions in user responses to emerging technologies. The first part of this paper explains the praxeological interpretation of the noological concept of act. The second part describes Antonio González Fernández's criticisms of that notion. His objection consists in pointing out that acts cannot be considered real things, but only the arising of these. From this observation on noology, González Fernández not only gives rise to his praxeology (also known as hiparqueology), but also his philosophical system begins to be questioned for not explaining what acts are, in the world of facts, beyond the assumption that they are there, despite being invisible. In the third and last section, some hypotheses are presented to address objections to the praxeological concept of act, such as the one mentioned above and the apparent circularities and possible contradictions within the praxeological system. This article takes as its starting point the central place given to contradiction by Hermann Goldschmidt in his book Contradiction Set Free, and it compares his approach with that of the philosopher Vladimir Jankélévitch. At the same time as Goldschmidt, Jankélévitch also assigned a central role to contradiction in thought, so much so that he often referred to his own philosophical method as "paradoxology." For him, as for Goldschmidt, paradox is the driving force behind thought that is always on the move. This article presents the main features of Jankélévitch's paradoxology and illustrates it with two themes: forgiveness and Jewish identity. By highlighting this proximity between Goldschmidt's approach and that of Jankélévitch, I suggest that they are both part of a more general movement in continental philosophy in the second half of the twentieth century, one of whose main challenges was to rethink philosophical rationality in depth. The Spiritual Contradiction Scale was developed to quantify spiritual contradictions experienced by individuals. The scale was developed following a literature review and online interviews conducted with 72 individuals who reported contradictory experiences. Based on the interviewees' statements, candidate items were identified and presented to experts for review. Twenty-five items were generated and reviewed by three experts. These items were subject to exploratory factor analysis (n = 265), and then to confirmatory factor analysis (n = 186). Criterion validity was examined in a third sample (n = 70). Following the analyses, it was concluded that the Spiritual Contradiction Scale is comprised of two dimensions and 12 items (Internal Contradiction items = 8; External Contradiction = 4 items). The scale aims to convey information about the inconsistency between individuals' spiritual beliefs, values, and actions. To ascertain the scale's validity and reliability, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and criterion validity analyses were carried out. The exploratory factor analysis revealed a 12-item structure divided into two dimensions. The Spiritual Contradiction Scale can be helpful for individuals to recognize and manage their spiritual contradictions, especially in counseling and therapy processes. This paper discusses the applicability of economic policies and other developmentalist governmental actions to financialized economies. It mobilizes the theoretical-methodological regulationist principles for a historical and institutional macro-analysis. After a brief review of the concepts of the Regulation School, including the "economic policy regime" (Théret, 1992; Lordon, 2002; Boyer, 2015), the Brazilian case is analyzed as a remarkable example of institutional compatibility with rentier-financial accumulation to the detriment of the accumulation of productive fixed capital. This paper discusses some comparative analysis between the pattern of economic performances in Asia and Western Europe during 1950s-2020s through political economies perspective. The Asian and Western European economic performances are investigated through some stylized facts in the sense of economic factors. Three analyses are used to explain the general pattern of these regions. First, this study examines the pattern of GDP growth per capita during the 1950s-2020s, focusing on several countries in this region. Second, the analysis captures the pattern of linkages of economic variables in this region related to the principle of Circular and Cumulative causation (CCC) and contradiction. Third, the analysis employs a historical perspective underpinned by the results in the second analysis. This third analysis is crucial to appreciating Asia's global economic performance and also the process of Western deterioration phenomenon through long wave, including the occurrence recession and financial crises. The institutions of globalization and neoliberalism that put the power of capital promoted a financial crisis several times during the decades of 1980s-2020. Hsueh M. Qu has recently argued that Hume's famed 'Separability Principle' from the Treatise entangles him in a contradiction. Qu offers a modified principle as a solution but also argues that the mature Hume would not have needed to avail himself of it, given that Hume's arguments in the first Enquiry do not depend on this principle in any form. To the contrary, I show that arguments in the first Enquiry depend on this principle, but I agree with Qu that Qu's solution to Hume's quandary frees him of the contradiction. Next, I compare Qu's solution to Hume's original position. By analysing the divergent forms of 'Hume's Dictum' that follow from them, I show that Qu's solution and Hume's original position have significantly different consequences in a range of domains, including Hume's modality. Generally, Qu's solution fits better with Hume's other commitments—even though Hume often fails to recognize it—thereby increasing its plausibility. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article traces the life of a football club at the forefront of the game's initial development in the late 1850s and early 1860s. Dingley Dell's football arm was founded in 1858 but disappeared from view in 1864, during which time they engaged mainly in matches against the schools of Westminster and Charterhouse. However, their history has been sorely neglected and this paper is designed to redress that balance. The most significant question Dingley Dell's existence poses is why they failed to send a representative to the early meetings of the Football Association in late 1863. Bernard Williams described the case of a lorry driver who runs over a child through no fault of his own. In this article, I pursue two aims. First, I want to motivate a puzzle about Williams's case, which I call the Lorry Driver Paradox and which consists of three individually plausible but jointly inconsistent claims. Second, I want to offer a solution to this paradox based on a novel approach to so-called strict moral answerability. Understanding and documenting the ways that objects become entangled in, produce, sustain, and rupture family relations are crucial contributions of museum studies to anthropological kinship theory. This article analyzes a Canadian exhibit entitled "Family: Bonds and Belonging," developed in response to Canada's 150th anniversary, in 2017, by a British Columbia provincial museum, then brought to Canada's national immigration museum in Nova Scotia in 2019. The article demonstrates how curators invite objects to narrate kinship, and entangle visitors as theoretical accomplices, all while building national projects. Layered concepts of "family" plays a central role in this exhibit, simultaneously introducing "family" as complex, diverse, and varied while also reproducing middle‐class conventions of family. I argue that this contradiction partly undercuts the representational content of the exhibit, and that the simultaneous multivalence and ideological uniformity of family in this setting points to how museum practices and procedures can unintentionally reproduce conventional ideas that implicitly counter curatorial work. Surgical face masks have become commonplace during the COVID-19 pandemic, producing debates on mask practices. This paper explains the semiotic practices of the face mask among Koreans, who accepted the mask early and have simultaneously remained uneasy about it until late 2020. It aims to explain this paradox by discovering various meanings Koreans ascribe to the mask. A content analysis of reader responses to news articles finds that Koreans signify what the mask means for life in various voices (i.e., instrumental meanings) in which they concurrently reveal multiple and contradictory meanings of everyday life (i.e., existential meanings) during the pandemic. Eight themes--beneficence, futility, nuisance, routine, privacy, dominance, collective commitment, and intricacy--constitute what the mask and everyday life mean. This study also finds that contradictions among these meanings are resolved either incidentally by their being simultaneously harbored in one piece of the mask that stays and holds tight in most circumstances or semiotically by certain integrative meanings embracing multiple meanings at once. The study argues that the meanings of the mask reflect meanings of life that are often contradictory and yet held together during the pandemic. It demonstrates that mask sociology serves as a promising humanistic inquiry on how the Maussian totality of everyday life is concretely experienced in the context of the pandemic. Radio log book records are one of the significant deficiencies items in port state controls. This study attempts to reveal the legislative gaps in radio log book inspections and to prevent deficiencies related to radio log book records. To address this issue, the annual reports from 2015 to 2020 of nine MoUs are analysed, and the deficiencies of the radio log book records from 2016 to 2020 in the USCG inspections are determined. In order to identify the radio log book records correctly, international regulations are widely scrutinised. In addition to all of these investigations, experts' assessments are also consulted. Based on the investigation results, we derive three conclusions. First, according to Paris MoU data, 32.9% to 39.4% of the deficiencies in radio communication arise from radio log book records. Second, there are inadequate regulations on how to keep compulsory radio log book records. Third, some contradictions and uncertainties regarding the compulsory records are determined. The memory effect in electrodynamics, as discovered in 1981 by Staruszkiewicz, and also analysed later, consists of an adiabatic shift of the position of a test particle. The primary methodology of Marxism consists of tackling the principal contradiction, and recognizing and addressing the principal contradiction in society is an essential prerequisite for advancing social progress. Theoretical accounts posit a close link between speech perception and production, but empirical findings on this relationship are mixed. To explain this apparent contradiction, a proposed view is that a perception-production relationship should be established through the use of critical perceptual cues. This study examines this view by using Mandarin tones as a test case because the perceptual cues for Mandarin tones consist of perceptually critical pitch direction and noncritical pitch height cues. The defining features of critical and noncritical perceptual cues and the perception-production relationship of each cue for each tone were investigated. The perceptual stimuli in the perception experiment were created by varying one critical and one noncritical perceptual cue orthogonally. The cues for tones produced by the same group of native Mandarin participants were measured. This study found that the critical status of perceptual cues primarily influenced within-category and between-category perception for nearly all tones. Using cross-domain bidirectional statistical modelling, a perception-production link was found for the critical perceptual cue only. A stronger link was obtained when within-category and between-category perception data were included in the models as compared to using between-category perception data alone, suggesting a phonetically and phonologically driven perception-production relationship. This article offers an introspective, intentionally imperfect, and contradictory exploration of various dimensions of multiple selves, belonging, and the migrant experience. It focuses on the author's personal experiences, examining the contradictions and challenges inherent to constructing a diasporic identity. The author unravels the complexities of self-identification and external perceptions, emphasizing how labels, names, and physical appearance influence interactions and self-understanding in specific cultural and geographical contexts. The adequacy of conventional words and terminology is questioned, as is their capacity to fully capture the richness and diversity of migratory and diasporic experiences. An argument is made for a more flexible conceptualization capable of accommodating the wide range of different backgrounds, challenges, and realities of racialized people and migrants of East Asian origin. Overall, the article proposes a re-evaluation and re-orientation of the dominant narratives and discourses around identity and migration. There is v ery little research on imagination in the context of leadership in general, and even less in relation to educational leadership. Drawing on available research on imagination in leadership and scholarship in the field of imagination, this qualitative content analysis seeks to add to foundational understanding of imagination's role in educational leadership. First, it describes the range of meanings leaders hold about imagination and the contradictory feelings these meanings create. Second, it indicates some of the varied ways in which imagination contributes to leadership. Third, it contributes a definition of imagination that encompasses the potential value of imagination for leadership now and into the future. The paper concludes by offering recommendations for future research and identifies the improvisational imagination as an additional feature that imagination contributes to leadership practices. The research shows that imagination is not something we should call on only in times of crisis, but, rather, that it is an indispensable ally in dealing with leadership challenges of all kinds. This article shows the relevance of "engaged" or "committed" literature for "post-colonial" African writers in the two collections of short stories called Dernières nouvelles. Through the analysis of narrative utterance, we argue that their position reflects the African fight against colonialism and neo-colonialism. The writers execute a kind of continuum by claiming a literary tradition inherited from the founders of the Negritude movement. However, inspired by the modern context, the writers distance themselves from the radical and racial engagement of their predecessors. This difference can be observed in the use of various literary means, such as on the pretext, "silent cry" and the oxymoron. The article finally argues that there is a contradiction between the criticism of neo-colonial practices and the writers' collaboration with French publishing houses and different cultural associations. The state of the art related to parameter correlation in two‐parameter models has been reviewed in this paper. The apparent contradictions between the different authors regarding the ability of D‐optimality to simultaneously reduce the correlation and the area of the confidence ellipse in two‐parameter models were analyzed. Two main approaches were found: (1) those who consider that the optimality criteria simultaneously control the precision and correlation of the parameter estimators and (2) those that consider a combination of criteria to achieve the same objective. An analytical criterion combining in its structure both the optimality of the precision of the estimators of the parameters and the reduction of the correlation between their estimators is provided. The criterion was tested both in a simple linear regression model, considering all possible design spaces, and in a nonlinear model with strong correlation of the estimators of the parameters (Michaelis–Menten) to show its performance. This criterion showed a superior behavior to all the strategies and criteria to control at the same time the precision and the correlation. This paper reviews the conflicting views on using D‐optimality to control parameter correlation in two‐parameter models. It proposes an analytical criterion that effectively balances both the precision and correlation of parameter estimators. The preface of Bill Butler and Elin Schoen's 1979 skating instruction manual, Jammin', teems with encouragement, but offers one slight warning. Welcoming his first-time skaters, Butler tells the reader, "chances are, once you've roller-discoed, you won't want to stop. You'll want to stay on wheels. And there's no reason why you shouldn't, even if you're not in a rink." With the tagline "[everything you need to know to get up and boogie down!]," Jammin' begins with "skating the rail"—a necessary means for first-timers to establish balance, appreciate the tempo of the rink, and learn to control the skates beneath them. Butler then goes on to describe couples skating, group skating, and dancing in place, each of which articulates a relationship to tempo and "the beat," to the other individuals in the rink, and the contradictions of the rink itself. Jammin' therefore proposes a practice of emphatic improvisation that is decidedly nonlinear and centers an expressive practice. Jammin' also cites the logistics and pleasures associated with skating as a community. This article deals with the question of the extent to which Wolfgang Jantzen’s considerations on rehistoricising diagnostics can also be incorporated into forms of counselling (cf. Jantzen, 2018, p. 152). It is argued that peer counselling as a form of counselling and established empowerment tool (cf. Hermes, 2006, p. 74) can only develop its full effect if a person’s life story is explored in the interaction of counselling. In this context, contradictions are negotiated that arise for the intention of peer counselling when the aforementioned counselling approach and the methodology of rehistoricisation are brought together theoretically. Valentin Asmus made a significant contribution to the formation of key interpretations, analyses and evaluations of Immanuel Kant's work in the Russian-Soviet tradition of studying the "history of foreign philosophy". This article shows precisely which principles and developmental models Asmus laid down in his interpretation of the transcendental dialectic section of Kant's philosophical system. The article attempts to show that in his reading of Kant, Asmus actively relies on Hegel's philosophical legacy, namely, on his theory of dialectics, the ontological status of contradiction and the highly significant role of "error" in the formation and advancement of knowledge. Asmus reads Kant through the lens of Hegel's philosophy and adheres to Hegelian philosophy as a benchmark of fidelity and heuristics, as a canon and organon, through which Kant's thought should be evaluated. Pursuing this path, he notes the significant progress of Kant's thought compared to the metaphysical philosophy of previous centuries, but points out the insufficiency of Kant's determination to fully think through contradictions ontologically and dialectically. Kant confines himself to pointing out the natural origin of the principle of "appearance" in the limits of reason, but is not ready to revise the foundations of classical logic, where any contradictions should be avoided. As a consequence, he settles on the epistemological interpretation of contradiction seeing it as an error of reason, albeit a natural one, leaving Asmus deeply disenchanted with his Hegelian expectations. This reflective engagement with responses to the inaugural (2023) Coral Bell School Lecture on Indigenous Diplomacy considers and suggests a way of addressing conceptual and practical chasms associated with advancing Indigenous diplomacy in the context of contemporary foreign policy. First, we argue that differences among lifeworlds as well as deleterious challenges arising from settler colonialism need to be registered, embraced, and inhabited rather than glossed over. Second, we revisit the meaning and relationship between our terms 'survivalism' and 'relationalism', for increased clarity and understanding. Third, we consider challenges associated with the contingency and historical specificity of the ontological forms that are typically assumed in mainstream International Relations (IR) knowing. We conclude by drawing together the sketch of 'principled pragmatism' that we have explicated throughout as an orientation and way of responding to the challenge and difficulties of advancing Indigenous diplomacy in contemporary foreign policy. Must rational thinkers have consistent sets of beliefs? I shall argue that it can be rational for a thinker to believe a set of propositions known to be inconsistent. If this is right, an important test for a theory of rational belief is that it allows for the right kinds of inconsistency. One problem we face in trying to resolve disagreements about putative rational requirements is that parties to the disagreement might be working with different conceptions of the relevant attitudes. My aim is modest. I hope to show that there is at least one important notion of belief such that a thinker might rationally hold a collection of beliefs (so understood) even when the thinker knows their contents entail a contradiction. Adorno's social theory is enjoying renewed attention, as is the debate to what extent is it Marxist. A central issue remains Adorno's concept of social totality: capitalism as a fully integrated society in which every difference is levelled. One problem this raises is why is he still committed to the Marxist concept of class. And second, how to understand his critique of the idea of proletarian class-consciousness, which seems to leave his critical theory without an addressee. The article suggests that, for Adorno, capitalist society exhibits what is termed here "differential integration." It is predicated both on the labor/capital distinction and, at the same time, on sufficient homology between the two, such that the qualitative class divide is experienced as mere quantitative variance. This efficacious gap between social structure and social experience is at the center of his concept of ideology. Ideology-critique for Adorno is mainly the critique of symptomatic misconceptions of how ideology functions, due to lack of attention to how the class structure is in fact not experienced as such. Adorno's alternative to proletarian class consciousness is "differential solidarity": consciousness of social domination that is on the one hand found across class divides yet is experienced differentially between them. The article "The Nameless Daughter of Saul" examines the role of Michal and her older sister Merab in the Book of Samuel. It is noted that there are contradictions regarding Michal's husband and her children. It is suggested that Merab may have originally been mentioned in some passages instead of Michal. It is also discussed that the name Merab was originally used in 2Sam 21:8 but was later replaced by the more popular name Michal. There are different views on the textual critical priority of the names, with some arguing that Michal was the original name while others claim that Merab was originally used. The namelessness of Saul's daughter in some passages suggests that she did not play an important role in the original version of the texts and was later given the name Michal to connect her with other narratives. One of the most fascinating, and debated, topics regarding Dante's immortal masterpiece, the Divine Comedy, concerns the date on which he imagines his journey to take place. Almost all commentators have placed it between March and April 1300, based on many apparently reliable historical and symbolic quotations. However, several astronomical references point in a completely different direction, and indicate a date around 25 March 1301. In addition to this, a closer examination of the historical and symbolic indications reveals that they are far from homogeneous: some provide no useful information, several give information congruent with 1301, and only a few are consistent with 1300. This paper also explores the reasons for the apparent contradictions between different references. The strong indication that seems to come from the present work in favour of 25 March 1301 represents an invitation to Dante scholars to reconsider the whole question. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Today, it is commonplace to hear that Africa is the hope of Christianity. Using the Ignatian image of "the angel of light", this paper proposes to qualify this belief. I will show that this belief is verified quantitively. However, the lack of authentic Christian witness makes the above assertion problematic. My analysis will focus on the tradition of the églises de réveil (awakening churches) in Francophone Africa, especially in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This contemporary tradition is a hybrid Christian movement that combines Evangelical and Pentecostal attitudes. I will develop my analysis in three steps. First, I will discuss the nature of églises de réveil. Second, I will describe the modus operandi of these awakening churches. My discussion will indicate how this modus operandi works in urban and rural areas. Lastly, I will propose one perspective for authentic Christian growth. I will argue that a Christian mission needs to be radically Christocentric. This radical Christocentrism revolves around two major axes, namely a sign of contradiction vis-à-vis the world and a radical witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper holds that Laozi's philosophy on softness is a topic that remains to be fully discussed. By distinguishing between the meanings of softness and weakness, this paper discusses how Wang Bi semantically integrated the two, presenting them as methods to attain the Dao. In this paper, the differences in Wang Bi's usage of "柔弱" (softness and weakness) and "柔顺" (softness and compliance) in his annotations on the Daodejing and Yijing are noted, emphasizing the logical support and rational explanation that Wang Bi provided for the external behaviors of gentleness described in the hexagram lines. Wang Bi reconciled the contradictions between Confucian and Daoist views on valuing gentleness and balancing Yin–Yang. In the text, he elaborates on gentleness as both a personal moral requirement and a method of social governance, addressing the real-world issues of his time and thus greatly enhancing the practicality of Laozi's philosophy of valuing softness. There are competing narratives regarding the causes of the war in Ukraine. One focuses on the provocation by the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, while others emphasize Russian aggression. The approach implemented below is to focus on the long-term contradictions of capitalism, including the formation of Communist states themselves in Russia in 1917 and China in 1949. The subsequent relation between capitalist industrial powers and the leading Communist powers has been an important factor in the post-World War II expansion of capitalism and its conflicts. The role of key ideological frameworks, such as the definition of money, is also a factor emphasized in this analysis. My article investigates Marx's dissertation from the perspective of the categories of Hegelian logic employed in the writings on the critique of political economy and, in particular, in the analysis of the value-form (Wertform) in Capital. The aim of my contribution is to show how Marx's early writing is not intended as a mere 'exercice encore scolaire' (Althusser), but as the first documented confrontation with Hegel's logic. Marx's early writing displays a moment of elaboration and acquisition of Hegel's method. I argue that the Epicurean atom represents a developing contradiction, and that the dissertation follows a precise Darstellung, which extends from the metaphysical and physical principle to the abstract subjectivity of Epicurean atomism. The objective of this research is to identify the trajectory of our scientists in how to diagnose narrators, distinguish confidences from them, adopt their own news, and know why the narrator diagnoses trust from others needs to be carefully tracked and studied in order to achieve the aim of documentation and weakness. Accordingly, we have come up with a statement of the reasons for mistrust and modification, and then a statement of the points of difference between the scientists of imamia from fundamentalists and informants in the legality of the uncertainty and then exposure to the issue of contradiction between them. The diversity of studies in every field of Islamic sciences has increased over time. Parallel to this, the diversity of tafsir studies on the Qurʾān has also increased. The field of Mushkil al- Qurʾān constitutes an important part of the ongoing tafsir studies using different methods. Both in tafsir in general and in individual works, verses that are in a state of ambiguity have been the subject and important studies have been carried out. The use of the question-and-answer method in the studies on the puzzling verses is also quite old in terms of history, and there are also works that have contributed to the exegesis of The Qurʾān by using this method. In the aforementioned works, both the questions that were predetermined by the author and the questions raised in line with the conditions of the period were answered and the resulting accumulation was published in books. At the same time, it is likely that the objectionable questions of orientalist approaches had an impact on the emergence of these works, although not completely. While some of the authors who were interested in the subject raised similar questions and gave answers to them in the places they deemed necessary in their works of tafsir, some of them wrote works consisting entirely of questions and answers prepared in this method. When the studies on the field are analyzed, it is seen that there is a considerable interaction between the works in question. At the same time, different questions showing the needs of the period in which the works were written are noteworthy in terms of showing the reflections of certain topics in history. Despite the similarity of the questions addressed in these works, the differences encountered in the answers also provide important clues in terms of understanding the perception of The Qurʾān of the period. In our study, we focused on a treatise prepared with the question-answer method, the content and method of the treatise were determined and its contribution to the field of Mushkil al-Qur' ān was tried to be determined. First of all, other works on the subject were researched and the studies on these works were pointed out. Then, our evaluations on the copy information of the treatise, which is the subject of our study, and the results we could reach about its author were included, and then the content of the treatise was revealed by comparing it with similar works. The questions included in the work have been categorized according to their subjects and analyzed by making headings in this direction. However, since it is not possible to deal with all the questions in detail in the scale of the article, from time to time, we have gone in the direction of ihtisar, and information is given in footnotes when deemed necessary. In order to make comparisons, other works that are the same or similar to the questions and answers given in the book have been pointed out in the footnotes, and the authors who gave different answers to the same questions have been identified and mentioned to the extent possible. At the end of the study, the data we obtained were evaluated and the contributions of the treatise to the field, its position among other similar works, and its shortcomings and aspects open to criticism were revealed. There are procedural deficiencies in the work, such as the fact that the questions are listed without any classification, that the controversial issues that have always been discussed in the historical process are not sufficiently emphasized, and that the holders of different opinions are not mentioned. However, the treatise is distinguished by its short, concise, simple and noncontroversial method and its questions that will appeal to interlocutors at different levels of education. In this sense, it is possible to say that the work makes a modest contribution to the field in the sense that it provides practical answers to questions that may come to mind while reading the Qurʾān. It is also among the results obtained that, although the work does not mention the disputes, the views that are more accepted in the historical process regarding the issues of the debates are adopted and these views are reflected in the answers. It is argued that Russell before 1905 saw no value in Frege's sense/reference distinction. This is clearest in the Mont Blanc correspondence. It is argued that Russell and Frege failed to engage because Frege lacked a grasp on the internal/external relations distinction. For Russell sense is either an external relation, objectionably separating out thought and reference, or an internal relation, so what is thought is altered such that we do not know what we are talking about. The novelty of the present paper lies in the arrangement of the parts and the claim that Russellian propositions are not made up of the things themselves but of transparent representatives thereof.
