- Abstract
Fertilizer has been the ever-increasing demand in agricultural production in recent years, particularly with the escalating demand for food. Simultaneously, the low efficiency of nutrient utilization and environmental risks of fertilizers have posed substantial challenges in the world. Alternatively, polymer-coated fertilizers can play a pivotal role in nutrient utilization efficiency, thus reducing the fertilizer application rates and environmental pollution risks. This study aims to improve the membrane materials of typical polymer-coated fertilizers for the high nutrient utilization efficiency in conventional fertilizers. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) was also employed as the membrane substrate, in order to relieve the secondary pollution and uncontrollable nutrient release rates. Three types of membranes—PVA/CS membrane, PVA/CS/GA membrane, and PVA/CS/GA/nano SiO2 membrane—were prepared using three methods: blending with chitosan (CS), crosslinking with glutaraldehyde (GA), and incorporating nano SiO2. Additionally, pure PVA membranes were prepared for comparison. The four types of membranes were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), water absorption (Q), biodegradability (De), and nutrient permeability coefficient (Ps). Results indicated that there were excellent dispersion and compatibility of nano SiO2 in the PVA/CS membrane solution. Furthermore, the biodegradation rates of the four membranes also exhibited gradual increments during the initial 21 days. Subsequently, biodegradation rates escalated rapidly from the 21st to the 56th day, followed by a slower growth rate after the 56th day. The CS was incorporated to enhance the membrane biodegradation rates, while the GA crosslinking contributed to the less membrane biodegradation in soil. However, the addition of nano SiO2 had minimally impacted the membrane biodegradation rates. Overall, all four membranes displayed favorable biodegradability, with the biodegradation rates ranging from 30% to 60% within 77 days. The water absorption of PVA/CS, PVA/CS/GA, and PVA/CS/GA/nano SiO2 membranes decreased by 43.00%, 68.79%, and 82.73%, respectively, compared with the PVA membranes. Furthermore, the nutrient permeability coefficients of PVA/CS/GA and PVA/CS/GA/nano SiO2 membranes decreased by 48.51% and 57.59%, respectively, compared with the PVA/CS membranes. Therefore, the addition of CS, GA crosslinking, and nano SiO2 all contributed to the hydrophobicity of PVA membranes. Four types of coated urea (PCU) particles—PCU-PVA, PCU-PVA/CS, PCU-PVA/CS/GA, and PCU-PVA/CS/GA/nano SiO2—were prepared, where these membrane solutions were applied to the urea particles using a drum coating machine. The nitrogen release behavior was evaluated using the soil burial. The time required for the nitrogen release of the four PCUs to reach 90% varied significantly, recorded at 5, 11, 23, and 28 days, respectively. On the 5th day, the nitrogen released from PCU-PVA was the highest at 90.64%, whereas the lowest was from PCU-PVA/CS/GA/nano SiO2 at 49.32%. The CS, GA crosslinking and nano SiO2 enhanced the membrane hydrophobicity, which in turn reduced the nitrogen release rate. The nitrogen release behavior of all four PCUs followed a first-order kinetic model, with the release rate constants (k) decreasing progressively—0.3 654, 0.2 333, 0.1 127, and 0.0 926, respectively—and correlating linearly with the nutrient permeability coefficient (Ps) of the membranes. The correlation coefficient (R²) was impressively high at 0.9 991. A series of polyvinyl alcohol/chitosan coating materials were introduced with excellent biodegradability and controllable nutrient release rates, suitable for use in polymer-coated fertilizers. These materials were effectively applied in the production of coated urea particles. A first-order kinetic model of PCU nitrogen release was established with the membrane nutrient permeability coefficient as a key parameter, in order to more efficiently and effectively guide the application of PCU. Objective To explore the method of elevating and fixing the auricular cartilage scaffold to adjust the overall height of the auricle. Methods A corresponding incision was made behind the ear, and then separate and release the adhesion between the back of the auricular cartilage scaffold and the cranial wall. Several stitches were sewn at the corresponding position on the bottom of the cymba auriculae, and the cartilage scaffold was lifted and fixed on the periosteum of the cranial wall to elevate the cartilage scaffold to normal height or the same height as the contralateral side. Results Sixty-five cases of various deformities of the auricle were clinically treated after 6 to 12 months of follow-up. The height of all other patients' auricles was improved, and the height of both auricles was symmetrical except for one patient with cryptotia deformity who had a loose fixation causing the stent to move down again, three patients with cup ears and two other ear deformities due to the ear being smaller than the normal side. The lifting height of all auricles is (0.6±0.4) cm. The patient satisfaction rate is 87.7%. Conclusion This method can significantly improve the overall height of the auricle while correcting cartilage abnormalities, making the two auricles more symmetrical, and the effect is satisfactory. Efficient recycling and utilization of waste heat from aluminum electrolysis cells is one of the implementation paths for the aluminum electrolysis industry to achieve deep energy conservation and carbon reduction. In response to the technical bottleneck problem of difficult recovery of waste heat on the side of aluminum electrolytic cells, a dedicated heat exchange module for waste heat recovery on the side of the electrolytic cell has been developed. The flow rate of the heat exchange medium in the module has been optimized and controlled, and the heat extraction rate has been adjusted to ensure stable operation of the electrolytic cell without affecting it. The radiant heat on the side of the electrolytic cell shell has been efficiently recovered. The technology was tested in an industrial scale on a 200 kA test cell and the results showed that the overall operation of the aluminum electrolysis cell waste heat recovery system was stable and efficient, with an average heat recovery of 77 734 kJ/h, equivalent to 21.59 kW per hour, 317 kWh per ton of aluminum, and a heat recovery efficiency of 99.71%.The system has achieved stable, efficient, and precise regulation of heat recovery within the range of 18.44-21.59 kW/h, and can optimize and regulate the furnace, which is conducive to the long-term, efficient, and stable production operation of aluminum electrolysis cells. - Abstract
Objective To investigate the predictive value of serum plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1) and retinol-binding protein 4(RBP4) levels for patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) with‐ out reflow after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods Totally 129 STEMI patients were selected as the STEMI group. According to the blood flow grading of thrombolysis therapy after PCI, they were divided into the no-reflow group (38 cases) and the reflow group (91 cases), and 55 healthy subjects were selected as the control group during the same period. Clinical data of STEMI patients were collected, and serum levels of PAI-1 and RBP4 were detected by en‐ zyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The predictive value of serum PAI-1 and RBP4 levels in patients with STEMI without reflow after PCI was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results Compared with the control group, the serum levels of PAI-1 and RBP4 in STEMI group increased (all P<0. 05). Compared with the reflow group, the serum levels of PAI-1 and RBP4 in no-reflow group increased (all P<0. 05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the increase of age and the increase of LDL cholesterol, PAI-1 and RBP4 were independent risk factors for noreflow after PCI in STEMI patients (all P<0. 05), and the increase of left ventricular ejection fraction was a protective fac‐ tor (P<0. 05). ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve of serum PAI-1 and RBP4 levels was greater than that of PAI-1 and RBP4 alone in predicting no-reflow of STEMI patients after PCI (both P<0. 05). Conclusion The in‐ creased serum levels of PAI-1 and RBP4 in STEMI patients are associated with no-reflow after PCI, and the serum PAI-1 combined with RBP4 has a high value in predicting no-reflow after PCI. - Abstract
Objective To observe the short-term efficacy of domestic RECO stent used in endovascular treatment of acute posterior circulation infarction, and to analyze the factors affecting the prognosis of patients. Methods The clinical data of 148 patients with acute posterior circulatory infarction who used domestic RECO stents and Solitaire stents for endovascular treatment admitted to The First Department of Neurosurgery, Tieling Central Hospital from December 2018 to October 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. The recanalization of the blood vessels in patients with two different thrombectomy stents were observed, and the mRS score of patients after 3 months were counted. After 3 months, patients with mRS scores of 0-2 were classified as the good prognosis group, and patients with mRS scores of 3-6 were classified as the poor prognosis group. The general clinical data of the two groups of patients with good and poor prognosis using domestic RECO stents were compared. The relevant factors that may affect the prognosis of patients were analyzed. And the clinical effect of using other stents in the same period for emergency postertor-circulation embolectomy were compared. Results Among 98 patients with acute posteriorcirculatory infarction using domestic RECO embolization stent, 90 were recanalized and 8 were not recanalized. After 3 months, the mRS score showed good prognosis group was 60 cases, and poor prognosis group was 38 cases. There were 50 patients with acute posterior circulation infarction, 45 patients with recanalization, 5 patients without recanalization, 3 patients with postoperative death, 31 patients with good prognosis and 19 patients with poor prognosis after 3 months of mRS score. There was no significant difference in the short-term efficacy of domestic RECO stent used in the treatment of acute posterior circulation infarction compared with Solitaire stent (P > 0. 05). After analyzing the related factors that may lead to poor prognosis of patients who use domestic RECO stents to remove thrombi,it is concluded that PC-ASPECTS score at admission,collateral compensation,NIHSS score at admission,time from onset to femoral artery puncture,times of thrombus removal,and whether diabetes are associated with the related factors that affect the prognosis of patients. Conclusions The domestic RECO stent used in the endovascular treatment of acute posterior circulation infarction has a significant short-term effect. The higher the patient's PC-ASPECTS score,the better the collateral compensation,the lower the NIHSS score at admission,and the shorter the time from onset to femoral artery puncture.
