The results of experimental researches of features of mechanical activation of polyethylene granules with finely dispersed zinc in a ball mill, and also results of research of chemical copper plating of activated polyethylene granules are given. The influence of the ratio of polyethylene granules and fine zinc, the speed of rotation of the ball mill and the duration of activation, as well as the degree of loading of the components in the activation process of polyethylene granules was studied. It is established that the condition of activation of polyethylene granules with finely divided zinc has a significant impact on the metallization process and the copper efficiency of activated polyethylene granules.

There is a direct relationship that the microclimate of the room affects the growth and development and health of calves. Temperature and humidity are also important. Comfortable conditions for animals depend on it. It is established that the most promising is the individual keeping of dairy calves, in contrast to the group, it completely eliminates the contact of animals, thus preventing the spread of infections between them. In addition, it creates guaranteed conditions for normalized feeding of animals according to their age and level of development and allows, if necessary, to individually adjust the level of rearing. This contributes to the creation in the production environment of a simple, clear and manageable system of growing young.

The expansion of Oenanthe isabellina in Ukraine began at the end of 1950s - early 1960s. The Isabelline Wheatear settled along the coast of the Sea of Azov from east to west and appeared on the Crimean Peninsula later than in the regions located to the west of it. Since the late 1960s, this species has been nesting near the mouth of the Dnipro River which located in the west of the Crimean Peninsula. The nesting of Oenanthe isabellina was found in the northern part of the Crimean Peninsula in 1973. In the mid-1980s, the Isabelline Wheatear inhabited the northwestern coast of Crimea and appeared far in the east - on the Kerch Peninsula. In the southeastern part of the peninsula the range of the Wheatear reached the Black Sea coast by the end of the 1980s, when the species nesting was found near Feodosia. In the southeastern part of Crimea, the Isabelline Wheatear continued to settle along the Black Sea coast in a westerly direction in the 1990s: its nesting was found near Sudak. In the central Crimea, the species range reached the northern foothills of the Crimean Mountains at this time. The species expansion to the south slowed down by the beginning of the 2000s. In the western Crimea, the southernmost settlement of the Isabelline Wheatear was found near Evpatoria. In the northern foothills of the Crimean Mountains (Central Crimea), the range border has not changed. There were no significant changes in the southeastern Crimea during this period - in the 2000s, O. isabellina nested near Sudak as in the 1990s. The species expansion almost stopped in Crimea in the 2010s. The settling of the Isabelline Wheatear in the steppe regions of the southwestern Crimea did not occur, possibly due to the absence of little ground squirrel settlements, whose burrows birds usually use for nesting. The border of the O. isabellina range has moved southward on about 100 km for three decades - from the beginning of the 1970s to the beginning of the 2000s -, i.e. the settlement speed of the species in Crimea was about 3 km per year.

The range of Tyto alba overlaps with that of Asio otus in a large part of the Holarctic. Both species are adapted to open-area hunting and prey upon similar species. In contrast to A. otus, data about the diet of T. alba on Crimea and surroundings are extremely scarce. Our study aimed to describe the prey spectrum of T. alba and evaluate at what extant its diet overlaps to that of A. otus. We evaluated diets based on 48 pellets of T. alba and 88 of A. otus collected from January to March 2018 in the Western part of the Crimea Peninsula. Simultaneously, we assessed the availability of small mammal prey by installing 150 spring-loaded bar mousetraps around the collection sites. Small mammals were the main prey in the diet of T. alba and A. otus (99.2% and 100% of all individuals in pellets). The most consumed species of both species was Microtus socialis (52.3% and 74.4% of all individuals). The second most consumed species of T. alba was Crocidura leucodon, an endangered species in Crimea. The diet of T. alba was more diverse than that of A. otus (Shannon diversity Index: 1.1 and 0.76, Simpson Index: 0.51 and 0.31, respectively). However, their diets overlapped widely (Pianka's index = 0.94). The frequency of mammalian prey in traps correlated moderately with that in A. otus pellets (rs = 0.5, p < 0.2), and it deviated from the frequency of mammalian prey in T. alba pellets (rs = -0.05, p < 0.9). The presence of the endangered C. leucodon in the diet of T. alba reinforce the utility of this predator species as a tool to detect threatened or rare small mammals that are not caught by traps and to increase information about their geographical distribution.

Pulmonary hypertension due to left heart disease (PH-LHD) is the most common form of PH, yet its pathophysiology is poorly characterized than pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). As a result, approved therapeutic interventions for the treatment or prevention of PH-LHD are missing. Medications used to treat PH in PAH patients are not recommended for treatment of PH-LHD, as reduced pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) and increased pulmonary blood flow in the presence of increased left-sided filling pressures may cause left heart decompensation and pulmonary edema. New strategies need to be developed to reverse PH in LHD patients. In contrast to PAH, PH-LHD develops due to increased mechanical load caused by congestion of blood into the lung circulation during left heart failure. Clinically, mechanical unloading of the left ventricle (LV) by aortic valve replacement in aortic stenosis patients or by implantation of LV assist devices in end-stage heart failure patients normalizes not only pulmonary arterial and right ventricular (RV) pressures but also PVR, thus providing indirect evidence for reverse remodeling in the pulmonary vasculature. Using an established rat model of PH-LHD due to left heart failure triggered by pressure overload with subsequent development of PH, a model is developed to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms of this physiological reverse remodeling process. Specifically, an aortic debanding surgery was performed, which resulted in reverse remodeling of the LV myocardium and its unloading. In parallel, complete normalization of RV systolic pressure and significant but incomplete reversal of RV hypertrophy was detectable. This model may present a valuable tool to study the mechanisms of physiological reverse remodeling in the pulmonary circulation and the RV, aiming to develop therapeutic strategies for treating PH-LHD and other forms of PH.

Toll-like receptor 4 (encoded by TLR4 gene) has a variety of functions, including tissue homeostasis, regulation of cell death and survival via activation of signaling pathways which lead to interferon regulatory factor 3 (IRF-3) activation and type I interferon production. TLR4 may have a crucial role in pathogenesis of complex and infectious diseases. Functional polymorphism TLR4 +3725G/C substitution (rs11536889) leads to faster transcript degradation and receptors number decrease. The study investigated TLR4 rs11536889 genotype and allele distribution in healthy volunteers from Ukraine (n = 155), autoimmune hepatitis (AH) children (n = 56) and chronic hepatitis C (CHC) adult patients with various fibrosis severity stages (n = 78). Genotyping was performed by allele-specific PCR. The obtained genotype frequencies in Ukrainian population were: GG genotype—0.813, GC—0.168, CC—0.019 and showed no significant deviation from the ones expected according to Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. AH and CHC patients were divided according to METAVIR fibrosis score into two groups—with stages F1–F2, and with F3–F4. The frequency of rs11536889 C allele carriers were higher in the group of AH patients with F3–F4 (0.179) comparing to patients with F1–F2 (0.071). This data did not reach the threshold for significance but showed a trend toward association between C allele carriers and higher fibrosis degree. Moreover, the significantly (p < 0.05) higher frequency of C allele carriers was observed in CHC patients with higher fibrosis degree (0.400) compared to patients with lower degree (0.057). Severe liver damage risk in such individuals is 11 increased (OR = 11.11, 95% CI: 2.70–45.66). Thus, TLR4 rs11536889 C allele is associated with higher level of fibrotic liver damage in patients with chronic hepatitis.

The distance dependence of the plasmon-accelerated decay of excited singlet and triplet states of Eosin molecules was studied. Layered films of dye were prepared using the Langmuir-Blodgett technology on the surface of silver island films. The plasmon effect manifests itself in an increase in the intensity and a decrease in the lifetimes of fluorescence, delayed fluorescence and phosphorescence of the dye films with metal nanoparticles. It is shown that the optimal distance at which the maximum enhancement of all luminescence types was achieved is equal to 6–8 nm and approximately coincides with the Forster radius of the nonradiative inductive-resonance process. A proposed mathematical model is in agreement with the experimental data. From the model it is follows that the distance dependences of the long-lived luminescence intensity are qualitatively similar to the distance dependence of the fluorescence of dye molecules on the metal island films.

Background Dystroglycanopathies are a group of inherited disorders characterized by vast clinical and genetic heterogeneity and caused by abnormal functioning of the ECM receptor dystroglycan (Dg). Remarkably, among many cases of diagnosed dystroglycanopathies, only a small fraction can be linked directly to mutations in Dg or its regulatory enzymes, implying the involvement of other, not-yet-characterized, Dg-regulating factors. To advance disease diagnostics and develop new treatment strategies, new approaches to find dystroglycanopathy-related factors should be considered. The Dg complex is highly evolutionarily conserved; therefore, model genetic organisms provide excellent systems to address this challenge. In particular, Drosophila is amenable to experiments not feasible in any other system, allowing original insights about the functional interactors of the Dg complex. Methods To identify new players contributing to dystroglycanopathies, we used Drosophila as a genetic muscular dystrophy model. Using mass spectrometry, we searched for muscle-specific Dg interactors. Next, in silico analyses allowed us to determine their association with diseases and pathological conditions in humans. Using immunohistochemical, biochemical, and genetic interaction approaches followed by the detailed analysis of the muscle tissue architecture, we verified Dg interaction with some of the discovered factors. Analyses of mouse muscles and myocytes were used to test if interactions are conserved in vertebrates. Results The muscle-specific Dg complexome revealed novel components that influence the efficiency of Dg function in the muscles. We identified the closest human homologs for Dg-interacting partners, determined their significant enrichment in disease-associations, and verified some of the newly identified Dg interactions. We found that Dg associates with two components of the mechanosignaling Hippo pathway: the WW domain-containing proteins Kibra and Yorkie. Importantly, this conserved interaction manages adult muscle size and integrity. Conclusions The results presented in this study provide a new list of muscle-specific Dg interactors, further analysis of which could aid not only in the diagnosis of muscular dystrophies, but also in the development of new therapeutics. To regulate muscle fitness during aging and disease, Dg associates with Kibra and Yorkie and acts as a transmembrane Hippo signaling receptor that transmits extracellular information to intracellular signaling cascades, regulating muscle gene expression.

Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) affects nearly 5% of the women of reproductive age. Its heterogeneous and multifactorial nature complicate both diagnosis and treatment, as well as identification of the genetic contribution to RPL. Evidence about the aetiology of RPL is controversial; however, several biological mechanisms have been proposed. Given the current knowledge about the genetic susceptibility to idiopathic RPL, we aimed to evaluate the predictive ability of a combined variant panel to the risk of RPL in the Ukrainian sample of 114 cases and 106 healthy controls. We genotyped variants within the 12 genetic loci reflecting the main biological pathways involved in pregnancy maintenance: blood coagulation (F2, F5, F7, GP1A), hormonal regulation (ESR1, ADRB2), endometrium and placental function (ENOS, ACE), folate metabolism (MTHFR) and inflammatory response (IL6, IL8, IL10). We showed that a genetic risk score (GRS) calculated from the 12 variants was associated with an increased risk of RPL (odds ratio 1.56, 95% CI: 1.21,2.04,P=8.7×10−4). The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) analysis resulted in the area under the curve (AUC) of 0.64 (95% CI: 0.57, 0.72), indicating an improved ability of the GRS to classify women with and without RPL. In summary, implementation of the GRS approach can help defining women at higher risk to complex multifactorial conditions such as RPL. Future well-powered genome-wide association studies will help in the dissection of biological pathways not hypothesised previously for RPL and further improve the prediction and identification of those at risk for RPL.

As illustrated with a vinylogous series of cationic symmetric indopolycarbocyanines, it is found out that adding Ag nanoparticles into their solutions had caused enhanced dye fluorescence at the constant absorption intensity. It has been shown that the enhanced fluorescence intensifies in response to the lengthened polymethine chain of indopolycarbocyanines, although the spectral overlap between Ag nanoparticles and polymethine dyes (PDs) decreases. A mathematical model has been proposed that incorporates the effect of plasmon nanoparticles on deactivation of excited state of indopolycarbocyanine molecules. It has been shown that the main reason of the growth of fluorescence intensity is an increase in fluorescence rate of the dye molecules in the presence of metal nanoparticles. It has been found out that Fӧrster resonance energy transfer (FRET) from dye molecules to Ag nanoparticles also affects fluorescence of indopolycarbocyanines. Herewith energy transfer is a competing process with respect to the fluorescence. The calculation showed that the FRET rate is higher for shorter molecules. This, in turn, leads to a decrease in the number of dye molecules that decay by fluorescence. For molecules of longer polymethine chain, the rate of energy transfer from the dye to nanoparticles has lower values. As a result, the fraction of fluorescent molecules is greater, which is manifested in the enhancement coefficient of fluorescence intensity.

The aim of this study was to examine association between IFNL4 gene ss469415590 and treatment efficiency in group of Ukrainian PEG-interferon/ribavirin-treated chronic hepatitis C patients. Study group consisted of 92 unrelated hepatitis C virus genotype 1 mono-infected patients: case group - 29 patients with late or absent virological response; control group - 63 patients with sustained virological response. Study material was genomic DNA. Genotyping was performed using amplification-refractory mutation system PCR. Statistical analysis was performed using GenePop and OpenEpi statistical packages. Obtained results show that ss469415590 ΔG/ΔG genotype is associated with poor virological response (OR = 3.62; CI 95%: 1.12-11.67) in PEG-interferon/ribavirin-treated chronic hepatitis C patients from Ukraine.

The territory of Southern Predbaikalia includes the Irkutsk-Cheremkhovo plain and the southern part of the Predbaikalsky basin, both of which are the marginal basins of the Siberian platform, and the Priolkhonsky plateau, a tectonic block squeezed between the Baikal Mountains and the Baikal basin. The main factors of soil formation, climate and relief, determine the unique mechanisms of the local circulation of air, heat and moisture, and affect the diversity of soil types and their distribution on the macro-and meso-levels of the soil cover organization. The combination of the basin effect and aridic-shadow form of vertical zonation in Southern Predbaikalia led to the development of dramatically contrasting landscapes and soils within a limited area: from subtaiga to dry steppes. Paleocryogenic phenomena in the form of polygons and cracks or hillocks and hollows contributed to the differentiation of the soil formation processes, mottling of the soil cover on the micro-level of its organization in the form of contrasting soil microcombinations. The research resulted in the creation of the Southern Predbaikalia soil cover map built using Quantum-GIS and landscape indication methods, morphometrical parameters and relief forms, space imaging and schemes showing key sites of determined soil profiles.

At the current agricultural stage, the development of new approaches and concepts of agriculture are required for a more effective use of the soils of agricultural landscapes. The concept of adaptive-landscape model of agriculture implies the system of soil use aimed at the production based on available economic and material resources and providing agricultural landscape stability and raised soil fertility recovery. The realization of this model is based on the soil and ecological assessment of soils which involves complex research of all natural components. It presupposes qualitative assessment of soils based on the soil-ecological index (SEI), an approach which reflects the natural potential of agricultural lands in points (from 1 to 100). The resulting SEI is the product of soil, climate and agrochemical indices. The indices were calculated using automated electronic systems (AES) developed on the basis of Microsoft Excel. Agricultural soil bonitet calculations for the territory of Eastern Siberia showed significant fluctuations in the SEI. In Krasnoyarsk krai the SEI equaled 14.67-53.77 points, in Irkutsk oblast – 15.13-38.76 points, and in the Republic of Buryatia – 24.78-44.18 points. The SEI of the chernozems in Krasnodar krai, on the contrary, reaches 100 points. The resulting SEI of the agricultural soils in Krasnoyarsk krai is mainly determined by soil and agrochemical indices. However, climate index is beginning to play a more significant role in relation to agricultural soils when determining their SEI in Irkutsk oblast and the Republic of Buryatia.

The violation of microecology plays the important role in the pathogenesis of oral diseases. The question of correction of microecological violations in diseases of hard dental tissues and inflammatory periodontal diseases of young patients is still not enough studied. The aim. This study aims to examine changes of oral microbiocenosis of students with major dental diseases during the treatment. The change in state of oral microbiocenosis has been evaluated in medical students of two age groups: 14 - 17 years and 18–22 years, in the dynamics of treatment of major dental diseases by developed methods using monotherapy of applications of mucosal gel and combination of mucosal gel and ultraphonophoresis with galaskorbin according to the data which were obtained from the main habitat of the oral cavity: the content of the periodontal groove (gingival fluid), plaque from the vestibular surface of the lower molars, oral fluid. The usage of applications of mucosal gel Kvertgial in students aged 14-22 years removes disbiotic violations and restores normal biocenosis in the oral cavity. Identification of certain microorganisms, estimation of their amount and localization will allow to predict the course of lesions in the oral cavity in terms of causative agent nature and to take preventive measures beforehand with the use of mucosal gel Kvertgial.

Relevance of the real research is caused by the fact that on the one hand technogenic loads of nervous system of the person increase, and with another - from the nature focused travel tourists are loaded with positive energy, receive bigger amount of emotional and informative impressions, than from a traditional set of the tourist and recreational services offered in the developed centers of tourism. People want to get acquainted closer with economic tenor of life of local population (Kuban residents), their primordial occupations and crafts, to taste environmentally friendly products, to enjoy fine natural landscapes.

Stress can be temporary or chronic, and mild or acute. Depending on its extent and severity, cells either alter their metabolism, and adopt a new state, or die. Fluctuations in environmental conditions occur frequently, and such stress disturbs cellular homeostasis, but in general, stresses are reversible and last only a short time. There is increasing evidence that regulation of gene expression in response to temporal stress happens post-transcriptionally in specialized subcellular membrane-less compartments called ribonucleoprotein (RNP) granules. RNP granules assemble through a concentration-dependent liquid–liquid phase separation of RNA-binding proteins that contain low-complexity sequence domains (LCDs). Interestingly, many factors that regulate microRNA (miRNA) biogenesis and alternative splicing are RNA-binding proteins that contain LCDs and localize to stress-induced liquid-like compartments. Consequently, gene silencing through miRNAs and alternative splicing of pre-mRNAs are emerging as crucial post-transcriptional mechanisms that function on a genome-wide scale to regulate the cellular stress response. In this Review, we describe the interplay between these two post-transcriptional processes that occur in liquid-like compartments as an adaptive cellular response to stress.

Upon stress, profound post-transcriptional adjustments of gene expression occur in spatially restricted, subcellular, membraneless compartments, or ribonucleoprotein (RNP) granules, which are formed by liquid phase separation of RNA-binding proteins with low complexity sequence domains (LCDs). Here, we show that Rbfox1 is an LCD-containing protein that aggregates into liquid droplets and amyloid-like fibers and promiscuously joins different nuclear and cytoplasmic RNP granules. Using Drosophila oogenesis as an in vivo system for stress response, we demonstrate a mechanism by which Rbfox1 promotes cell survival. The stress-dependent miRNA miR-980 acts to buffer Rbfox1 levels, since it targets only those Rbfox1 transcripts that contain extended 3′UTRs. Reduced miR-980 expression during stress leads to increased Rbfox1 levels, widespread formation of various RNP granules, and increased cell viability. We show that human RBFOX proteins also contain multiple LCDs and form membraneless compartments, suggesting that the RNP granule-linked control of cellular adaptive responses may contribute to a wide range of RBFOX-associated pathologies in humans., Rbfox1, a pro-survival RNA-binding protein, is expressed in a complex manner and mediates diverse developmental processes. Here, the authors observe alternative splicing of Rbfox1 and stress-dependent regulation by miR-980 in Drosophila ovaries and Rbfox1 localisation in ribonucleoprotein granules in human cells.

Aim. Evaluating a role of IL8 gene –781 C/T, and IL10 gene –592C/A polymorphisms as genetic markers of ischemic stroke risk. Methods. A case group consisted of 183 patients with ischemic stroke, which were treated in the Brain Vascular Pathology unit of SI «Institute of Gerontology of NAMS of Ukraine». A control group included 88 healthy individuals older than 65 years without any history of ischemic stroke. Genotyping was performed using PCR followed by restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis. Results. Significantly (P < 0,05) higher frequency of IL8 –781T allele carriers in the case group (81,6 %) comparing to the control (70,1%) was revealed. –781T allele carriers have nearly 2-fold increased ischemic stroke development risk (OR = 1.886; 95 % CI: 1.041–3.417). Significantly (P < 0,05) higher frequency of IL10 gene –592C allele carriers was observed in the patients with ischemic stroke (98,2%) comparing to the control (90,7 %). The ischemic stroke development risk in such individuals is 5-fold increased (OR = 5.71; 95 % CI: 1.48–22.11). It was revealed that –592C allele homozygotes with ischemic stroke have more than 2-fold higher improvement (according to the Rankin scale) chances during the first fortnight of treatment (OR = 2,76; 95 % CI: 1,26–6,07). Conclusions. On the basis of the obtained significant differences, IL8 gene –781T and IL10 gene –592C variants may be considered the factors of ischemic stroke hereditary susceptibility. Besides, IL10 gene –592CC genotype is a genetic marker of the patients state positive dynamics during first two weeks of treatment. Мета. Оцінити роль поліморфних варіантів –781C/T гена IL8 і –592C/A гена IL10 як генетичних маркерів ризику розвитку ішемічного інсульту. Методи. До групи дослідження ввійшли 183 пацієнти з ішемічним інсультом, які перебували на стаціонарному лікуванні у відділенні судинної патології головного мозку ДУ «Інститут геронтології НАМН України»; до контрольної – 88 здорових людей старше 65 років без історії ішемічного інсульту. Генотипування проводили методом ПЛР з наступним аналізом поліморфізму довжини рестрикційних фрагментів. Результати. Виявлено статистично достовірно (P < 0,05) вищу частоту носіїв алеля IL8 –781T у групі пацієнтів з інсультом (81,6 %) порівняно з контрольною групою (70,1 %). Носії алеля IL8 –781Т мають майже вдвічі вищий ризик розвитку ішемічного інсульту (OR = 1,886; ДІ 95 %: 1,041–3,417). Статистично достовірно (P < 0,05) вища частота носіїв алеля –592C гена IL10 спостерігалась у пацієнтів з ішемічним інсультом (98,2 %) порівняно з контрольною групою (90,7 %). Ризик розвитку ішемічного інсульту (OR = 5,71; ДІ 95 %: 1,48–22,11) у носіїв цього алеля у 5 разів вищий. Встановлено, що в осіб, гомозиготних за алелем –592С гена IL10, у яких розвинувся ішемічний інсульт, шанси на покращення стану (за шкалою Ренкіна) протягом перших двох тижнів майже втричі більші (OR = 2,76; ДІ 95 %: 1,26–6,07). Висновки. На підставі отриманих статистичних відмінностей встановлено, що алелі –781T гена IL8 і –592С гена IL10 є факторами спадкової схильності до розвитку ішемічного інсульту. Крім того, генотип –592СС гена IL10 є генетичним маркером позитивної динаміки стану пацієнта у перші два тижні лікування. Цель. Оценить роль полиморфных вариантов –781C/T гена IL8 и –592C/A гена IL10 в качестве генетических маркеров риска развития ишемического инсульта. Методы. В исследуемую группу вошли 183 пациента с ишемическим инсультом, находившихся на стационарном лечении в отделении сосудистой патологии головного мозга ГУ «Институт геронтологии НАМН Украины»; в контрольную –88 здоровых людей старше 65 лет без истории ишемического инсульта. Генотипирование проводили методом ПЦР с последующим анализом полиморфизма длины рестрикционных фрагментов. Результаты. Выявлено статистически достоверно (P < 0,05) более высокую частоту носителей аллеля IL8 –781Т в группе пациентов с инсультом (81,6 %) по сравнению с контрольной группой (70,1 %). Риск развития ишемического инсульта у носителей аллеля IL8 –781Т почти вдвое выше (OR = 1,886; ДИ 95 %: 1,041–3,417). Статистически достоверно (P < 0,05) более высокая частота носителей аллеля –592C гена IL10 наблюдалась у пациентов с ишемическим инсультом (98,2 %) по сравнению с контрольной группой (90,7 %). Риск развития ишемического инсульта у носителей этого аллеля в 5 раз выше (OR = 5,71; ДИ 95 %: 1,48–22,11). Установлено, что у лиц, гомозиготных по аллелю –592C гена IL10, у которых развился ишемический инсульт, шансы на улучшение состояния (по шкале Рэнкина) в течение первых двух недель почти втрое больше (OR = 2,76, ДИ 95 %: 1,26–6,07). Выводы. На основании полученных статистических различий установлено, что аллели –781T гена IL8 и –592С гена IL10 являются факторами наследственной предрасположенности к развитию ишемического инсульта. Кроме того, генотип –592СС гена IL10 является генетическим маркером положительной динамики состояния пациента в первые две недели лечения.

Aim. The study is aimed at the evaluation of the association of IL6 gene -174G/C polymorphism and ESR1 gene -397C/T polymorphism with recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) pathogenesis and at the investigation of the ESR1 gene -397C/T variant regulatory significance for the IL6 gene function. Methods. A case group of 75 women with RPL history and a control group of 106 unrelated healthy women, who have given birth to at least one child conceived in natural way, were genotyped by a PCR based restriction fragment length polymorphism assay. Results. There was no significant difference in IL6 -174G/C or ESR1 -397C/T genotype and allele frequencies between the case and control groups. Combined genotype distribution analysis showed significantly (p < 0.05) lower frequency of individuals homozygous for both IL6 -174G and ESR1 -397C alleles in case group (0.026) comparing to control (0.094). Conclusions. Genotype comprising IL6 -174G and ESR1 -397C alleles in homozygous state may be considered as a genetic marker of successful pregnancy maintenance during gestation early stages. Мета. Встановити асоціацію поліморфних варіантів -174 G/C гена IL6 і -397 C/T гена ESR1 з патогенезом звичного невиношування вагітності (ЗНВ) та дослідити ймовірний регуляторний вплив поліморфізму -397 C/T гена ESR1 на функціонування гена IL6. Методи. Досліджувану (75 жінок з історією ЗНВ) та контрольну (106 неспоріднених здорових жінок, які народили хоча б одну дитину, зачату природним шляхом) групи прогенотиповано методом ПЛР з наступним аналізом поліморфізму довжини рестрикційних фрагментів. Результати. Достовірної різниці частот генотипів та алелів за поліморфізмами IL6 -174 G/C і ESR1 -397 C/T не встановлено. Аналіз комбінованих генотипів виявив статистично достовірно (p < 0,05) нижчу частоту осіб, гомозиготних за алелями IL6 -174G та ESR1 -397C у досліджуваній групі (0,026) порівняно з контрольною (0,094). Висновки. Генотип, до складу якого входять алелі IL6 -174G та ESR1 -397C у гомозиготному стані, можна розглядати як генетичний маркер успішного підтримання вагітності на ранніх строках гестації. Установить ассоциацию полиморфных вариантов -174 G/C гена IL6 и -397 C/T гена ESR1 с патогенезом привычного невынашивания беременности (ПНБ), а также исследовать вероятный регуляторный эффект полиморфизма -397 C/T гена ESR1 на функционирование гена IL6. Методы. Исследуемая (75 женщин с историей ПНБ) и контрольная (106 неродственных женщин, родивших хотя бы одного ребенка, зачатого естественным путем) группы прогенотипированы методом ПЦР с последующим анализом полиморфизма длины рестрикционных фрагментов. Результаты. Достоверной разницы в частоте генотипов и аллелей по полиморфизмам IL6 -174 G/C и ESR1 -397 C/T не установлено. Анализ комбинированных генотипов выявил статистически достоверно (p < 0,05) меньшую частоту индивидов, гомозиготных по аллелям IL6 -174 G и ESR1 -397 C в исследуемой группе (0,026) по сравнению с контрольной (0,094). Выводы. Генотип, в состав которого входят аллели IL6 -174G и ESR1 -397C в гомозиготном состоянии, можно рассматривать в качестве генетического маркера успешного поддержания беременности на ранних сроках гестации.
