International audience; Survival analysis of DLBCL patients requires the interpretation of PET images characterised by multiple small lesions. Current machine-learning approaches addressing similar problems consider as input the cropped image of a single lesion or the whole volume. In this paper, we incorporate the information of all lesions by modeling their joint survival analysis with a graph learning approach. We propose a compact graph representation of the segmented lesions enriched by radiomics features and edge weights. The representation is fed to a graph attention network to predict the 2-year Progression-Free Survival of a DLBCL patient, formalised as a graph classification problem. Experimental results on a clinical prospective database with 583 patients show that our method improves over three baseline fusion approaches.

Bacteria are continually challenged with variety of synthetic chemicals/xenobiotics in their immediate surroundings, including pesticides. Chlorpyrifos is one of the most commonly used organophosphate pesticides in the world. The non-environmental strain of Escherichia coli, BL21 (DE3) displayed high tolerance to chlorpyrifos but with no/negligible degradation. The intrinsic resistance mechanisms that aid the organism in its high tolerance are probed. Efflux pumps being ubiquitous in nature and capable of conferring resistance against wide variety of xenobiotics were found to be over-expressed in the presence of CP. Also, an efflux pump inhibitor PAβN increased the susceptibility of E. coli to chlorpyrifos due to the intracellular accumulation of CP. The tripartite efflux pump EmrAB-TolC with increased expression in both transcript and protein on CP exposure, might play a major role in CP tolerance. The transcriptional regulators involved in multidrug resistance along with transporters belonging to all the major families conferring antimicrobial resistance were up-regulated. Also up-regulated were the genes involved in phopshonate metabolism and all the genes in the copper or silver export system. The common resistance mechanisms i.e, activation of efflux pumps between CP, antibacterial metals and antibiotics resistance might result in cross-resistance, ultimately increasing the prevalence of multidrug resistant strains, making infections hard to treat.

This paper intended a staircase modulation with different staircase generation for a thirteen level cascaded H bridge inverters. Staircase modulation scheme is developed to achieve the control of MLI. Here paper discusses various staircase wave generation methods such as half height (HH) method, Half Equal Phase (HEP) method and Feed Forward (FF) method to find step size of staircase wave. The analysis of different staircase waves in control of MLI is carried out with an thirteen level cascaded H Bridge Multilevel inverter using phase shift carrier modulation. The expected methods results in staircase reference wave generation with lesser THD compare to other convectional MLI. The performance of 13 level CHN with different staircase reference signal is analyzed in terms of THD through extensive simulations and by comparing these three staircase reference signal generating methods, it is clear that HH method show lesser THD.
