The study of psychological issues in sports has a long history and researchers in sports have always tried to find evidence in this regard (6). Among the psychological domains and dimensions, some variables play a more important role among athletes and overshadow their athletic performance (7). This is due to the important role of psychological issues in the performance of athletes. Another thing that seems to affect psychological characteristics is physical condition and illness. One of these diseases is COVID-19, which the World Health Organization announced in 2020 that this virus is similar to the Sars virus (this virus existed between 2002-2003 and left about 8000 cases of infection and 800 deaths). and MERS virus (this virus was reported in 2012, which caused about 2,500 infections and 800 deaths) (8). The widespread spread of this virus has caused major concerns worldwide (9). Another thing that seems to affect psychological characteristics is physical condition and illness. One of these diseases is COVID-19, which has caused disorders in people's lives due to economic, social, occupational and psychological problems (10). Meanwhile, professional athletes have also experienced major problems in their training during the COVID-19 virus crisis. This will undoubtedly have a negative effect on them mentally and will cause them to malfunction in the future. The uncertainty of the condition of some of the psychological effects of COVID-19 virus has led to the lack of evidence regarding the status of professional athletes in terms of psychological effects following the outbreak of COVID-19 virus. Therefore, the researcher is trying to answer the question: What are the psychological effects of COVID-19 disease in Iranian professional athletes? Methods: To conduct this research, which was carried out with a phenomenological qualitative method, 13 professional athletes in individual sports in the country and using purposive sampling method, 13 people were selected as a sample in the qualitative section. Then, in order to collect data from them, semi-structured interviews were conducted and coding was done in both primary and secondary forms. Results: After the interviews, the initial codes were identified that 24 codes in three dimensions of mental effects including codes (increased stress, reduced mental health, obsessive-compulsive disorder, increased anxiety, decreased attention, prevalence of depression, formation of mental fatigue, disorder) Fear, psychosis, creating negative emotions, frustration), behavioral effects including codes (creating obsessions, creating problems with sleep quality, decreased mood, insecure decision making, increased violence, decreased interpersonal emotions) and social effects including Codes (collectivism, low social skills, poor athletic performance, reduced capital, social distrust, extreme isolation and family conflicts). Purpose: Despite the positive approaches of the management of the sports system and the health system in public leisure, there are still numerous reports and documented shreds of evidence of mobility poverty and its consequences in the urban life of people in deprived provinces, which indicates a worrying social problem. Methods: Therefore, the researcher conducted this study by identifying the factors affecting participation in sports by using a grounded theory approach. The statistical population of the study included the elites of physical education and the sampling of the participants was done theoretically and purposefully. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview and the data obtained from the interviews were analyzed using a Strauss and Corbin coding approach method. Results: In the results of code grouping, 39 components were obtained in five areas of causal, contextual, interventional, strategy, and consequence factors. Conclusion: Based on the research findings, it can be said that the popularization of sports in West Azerbaijan province can be achieved through the support of environmental factors, the positive intervention of managerial factors, resource contextualization, and finally, through behavioral factors. Therefore, it is necessary that the effective policies on sports participation in this province be identified and analyzed based on the model.

Background: Sports psychology literature shows that motivation is essential in individual and team sports. This study compares sports motivation and Social Physique Anxiety (SPA)between blind and visually impaired elite athletes in individual and team sports. Methods: The study is comparative in terms of design. The population was Iranian professional blind and visually impaired athletes in 2021. The sample includes N=110, n=35 in team sports (football and Goalball) and n=75 in individual sports (swimming, chess, wrestling, athletics), selected by convenience sampling method. The research tool was Sport Motivation Scale (SMS-18) and Social Physique Anxiety Scale (SPAS). Descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (independent t-test and analysis of variance) are used to analyze the data with SPSS 24. Results: The results show a significant difference between the stimulating experience of athletes in individual and group sports in sports motivation components (P0.05). Also, the analysis of variance showed no significant difference between the elite athletes in individual and team sports in terms of sports motivation (P = 0.982) and SPA (P = 0.937). Conclusion: It is suggested that the factors affecting the motivation of sports participation of blind athletes in other sports should be examined. We need to focus more on programs that reduce SPA in blind and visually impaired athletes.

Background: An important issue for pediatric health is to understand how to enhance the level of physical activity of children and adolescents during the pandemic. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of a physical education- based online intervention on promoting motivation and physical activity of adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The present study used an experimental design with pre-test and post-test conducted in Iran, 2020. The participants were 68 high school students who were randomly allocated into intervention and control groups. The participants of the intervention group were exposed to a three-month intervention based on Self-Determination theory within the online physical education classes while those in the control group followed their regular online physical education classes. Perceived autonomy support, motivation, intention, and physical activity behavior were measured using standard questionnaires. Independent t test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were utilized to analyze the data. Results: The pre-test showed that the participants of both groups had similar perceived autonomy support, motivation, intention, and physical activity behavior at baseline. However, the participants in the intervention group reported higher perceived autonomy support (3.2 vs. 1.48, p Conclusions: These results highlighted the importance of developing strategies in online physical education classes for improving motivation and physical activity level of adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background: The effects of the coronavirus outbreak on the psychological and physical wellbeing of teenage girls is not well understood. Herein, one of the important mental health-related variables is introduced to be psychosocial distress (PSD). The current research aimed to explore the status of PSD in teenage girls during the coronavirus outbreak considering the impact of physical activity (PA) and sedentary time (ST). Methods: This research utilized a descriptive-correlation method. We selected 384 teenage girls (mean age 16.93±0.72 years) in Iran, in 2020, using a convenience sampling procedure. The participants were healthy and without any physical or mental disabilities. They completed the standard questionnaires including the COVID-19-Related Psychological Distress Scale, Physical Activity Behavior in Leisure-Time Scale, and Adolescent Sedentary Activity Questionnaire. Spearman correlation test and structural equation modelling were utilized for data analysis. Results: Our findings revealed that the psychosocial status of adolescent girls during the coronavirus outbreak was 41.50 out of 70. The subjects who were more physically active had lower levels of PSD (r=-0.627, P Conclusions: The results of the current research demonstrate that PSD and PA are significant challenges threatening the health of teenage girls during the coronavirus outbreak. Accordingly, it is essential to adopt appropriate procedures to enhance PA and reduce ST of teenage girls.

Background Previous studies have well documented that oldest students in a given school class typically have better academic performance than their younger mates. However, there are many phenomena regarding the effects of relative age on academic performance of school students that must be considered. Because of its importance in academic performance of primary school children, handwriting would be of interest. The purpose of the present study was to explore the effects of relative age on handwriting of second grade students in primary school with considering the role of visual-motor integration as a possible underlying mechanism. Materials and Methods: The present study used a descriptive-correlational approach. Based on the guidelines of Krejcie & Morgan, four hundred boys (100 boys from each year-season) in second grade from four regular national primary schools in Gorgan, Iran, in 2019 were selected by a cluster random sampling method and asked to perform a standard handwriting tool and visual motor integration test. Legibility and speed of handwriting were measured to assess handwriting quality. Results: Means of age of children who were born in fall, winter, spring, and summer were 94.99, 92.12, 89.04, and 85.88 months, respectively. Results demonstrated that older children in comparison to younger children had significantly better handwriting legibility in both copying and dictation, besides, they copied the text faster (p Conclusion Based on these results, it seems that relative age affects handwriting performance of children. Furthermore, visual-motor integration might act as a possible underlying mechanism for the effects of relative age on handwriting performance.

Introduction: Aging is associated with some gradual physiological changes in body systems, including a decrease in muscle strength and range of motion, an increase in reaction time, as well as alterations in balance and sensory systems. Physical activity can be used to prevent, delay, or treat age-related problems. The study aims at specifying the effects of vestibular exercises on the balance performance of inactive elderly. Materials and Methods: This study was a quasi-experiment conducted in Karaj in 2019, with pretest, post-test, and control groups in which 40 inactive male volunteers older than 60 years were randomly assigned into an experimental group (20) and a control group (20). The experimental group participated in vestibular exercises for twelve sessions (three 45-minute sessions per week). The dynamic balance test was used to measure equilibrium performance. The one-way ANCOVA (analysis of covariance) was used to analyze the data. Results: The results of covariance analysis indicated a significant difference in the mean of balance performance between experimental group and control group after the intervention (p score of balance performance in the experimental and control groups was 19.45±0.23 and 20.55±0.15, respectively, indicating enhanced balance performance in the experimental group. Conclusion: Considering the effects of vestibular exercises on the enhancement of balance performance of the elderly, it is suggested that planning these exercises be mandatory for the elderly community. Poor balance and fall risk in the elderly can be prevented through appropriate vestibular exercises.

Aim: This study examines the effectiveness of balance training on static balance and selective attention in children with attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder. Method: This research was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design and a control group. The population was all 6-year-old children with ADHD referred to the center for child counseling in Gorgan in 2021-2022. Thirty people were selected by convenience sampling method and assigned to the experimental and control groups. In order to collect data, The stork balance test and Stroop color and word test were used. The statistical analysis was carried out using analysis of covariance in SPSS-24. Previous studies have shown that autonomy support (AS) can foster a person’s motivation and facilitate motor learning. However, the effects of AS on observational motor learning are not well understood. The present study investigated this issue by manipulating to-be-observed-model. Forty-eight male students were assigned into autonomy, yoked, and no-demonstration control groups. Three male Baseball coaches acted as models A, B, and C. Model A was instructor of students of AU group and acted as a model with high social status for AU group. Models B and C were not familiar for all participants and acted as low social status models. Participants were asked to perform a Baseball-pitch into a target during pretest (10 trials), acquisition phase (5 blocks of 10 trials), and retention test (10 trials). Prior to each acquisition block, the participants of AU and YO groups observed a model three times. Participants of AU group were free to choose model A, B, or C for any single observation. Participants in YO group were matched with those in AU group. Movement outcome, movement form, self-efficacy (SE), perceived learning effect (PLE), and perceived model attractiveness (PMA) were measured as dependent variables. Results showed that AS, relative to yoked and control conditions, led to better movement outcome during acquisition and retention. Action observation enhanced movement form during acquisition and retention. AS increased SE, PLE, and PMA compared with yoked and control conditions. Results provide support for the OPTIMAL theory and indicate that AS facilitates observational motor learning.

Background: A significant factor associated with well-being and health is to find a method which can increase resilience during the pandemics. The present research aimed to examine the impact of physical activity level on resilience of teenage girls during the COVID-19 pandemic with an emphasis on self-esteem as a mediator. Methods: The present study utilized a descriptive-correlation approach. The statistical sample included 384 teenage females from Golestan, Iran, in 2020. We employed standard surveys for collecting the data. Statistical methods included Kolmogorov- Smirnov test, Spearman correlation test, and structural relationships through Lisrel. Results: Physical activity was found to affect resilience (β=0.396, T=6.284) and self-esteem (β=0.628, T=11.594). Furthermore, self-esteem significantly affected resilience (β=0.530, T=9.509). Finally, self-esteem significantly mediated the correlation between physical activity and resilience (Z=6.780, p Conclusions: Physical activity could be considered as an important factor in coping with severe condition during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, in a pandemic situation, by increasing physical activity, better conditions can be created for children and adolescents, especially girls, to ensure their resilience.

Background and Aims: Working memory is among the essential components of executive function. Due to the different physiological and cognitive needs of open and closed motor exercises, this study aimed to investigate and assess the effects of open and closed exercises on the working memory of preschool children. Methods: This study was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design. Thirty preschool children in Kermanshah were randomly divided into two open and closed exercise groups. Before the exercise protocol, all participants underwent Wechsler Intelligence Test and working memory pre-test with N-back software. Each group performed their one-hour training sessions for 12 weeks (three sessions per week). The exercise intensity was set at (60±5%) of the heart rate reserve level (HRR), with HR being monitored by a heart rate monitor. Data analysis was performed using the analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) by SPSS software v. 23. Results: The findings revealed a significant difference between open skill training (OSE) and closed skill training (CSE) (P≤0.05). OSE compared to CSE had a more significant effect on increasing children’s working memory. Conclusion: The findings demonstrated that 12 weeks of OSE has a more significant effect on increasing the working memory of preschool children (compared to CSE). Therefore, it is recommended that preschool children participate in OSE (higher cognitive load) to improve their working memory.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between social responsibility and environmental protection behaviors with the mediating role of cultural capital in athletic students in Tehran. The research method was descriptive-correlational studies based on structural equations. The statistical population of the study consisted of all student-athletes who were selected as a sample based on the size of the unlimited population and based on Morgan table, 364 people based on multi-stage cluster random sampling method. Carroll (1991), Bourdieu (1986) and Kaiser (1999) Environmental Behavior Questionnaires were used to collect data. The reliability of the questionnaires based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.912, 0.854 and 0.832, respectively. Data were analyzed by Pearson's test and structural equations using AMOS software. According to the results of Pearson correlation test between social responsibility and cultural capital (Sig: 0.001, r: 0.532), between social responsibility and environmental protection behaviors (Sig: 0.001, r: 0.665) and There is a significant positive relationship between cultural capital and environmental protection behaviors (Sig: 0.001, r:0.714). Also, the results of structural equations showed that social responsibility through the mediating variable of cultural capital has a significant positive effect on environmental protection behaviors of student students.

Present study aimed to investigate the effect of mindfulness protocol on anxiety, self-efficacy and performance of male shooters. The present study was a semi-experimental with design two groups of pretest-posttest with control group. Of all male shooters in Gorgan, in 2012, 30 shooters ranged in age from 19 to 30 years, randomly assigned to two groups of 15. The training program included six sessions of 75-90 minutes of Mindfulness / Control, and the state-competitive anxiety inventory, general self-efficacy and performance scale in shooting were used for evaluation, and data were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance and Multivariate Analysis of Covariance. The results showed that the intervention of mindfulness reduced anxiety and increased self-efficacy and its components (desire to initiate behavior, desire to expand the effort, encounter obstacles) and improve exercise performance. According to the findings of this study, mindfulness interventions are one of the effective methods for improving athletes' performance

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of educational and motivational self-talk on dart throwing performance with different difficulties. A total of 60 beginners and right-handers with an age range of 22 to 28 years were randomly selected and randomly divided into three groups of educational self-talk, motivation and control. The study groups performed 5 groups of 12 attempts according to their instructions. All throws were performed at low difficulty level at a distance of 1.80 m, at medium difficulty level at a distance of 2.37 m and at high difficulty level at a distance of 2.87 m from the dartboard. Background: Finding behavioral changes in youth during the COVID-19 pandemic may provide a better image of the negative impact of quarantine on their mental and physical health. The purpose of the present research was to examine the smartphone usage status, sleep pattern, health-related quality of life, and physical activity among adolescents from before to during the COVID-19 confinement. Methods: The present study used a descriptive-comparative design. The participants were 384 male and female students aged 16 to 18 years (mean age of 16.84±1.06 years) in grades 11 and 12 from the high-schools of Golestan province, Iran, in 2020. Screen time, sleep pattern, health-related quality of life, and physical activity were measured using standard questionnaires. Paired-Sample t test was employed to compare the means of the constructs of the study from “before” to “during” the COVID-19 pandemic. Independent t test was used to measure gender differences. Results: Results shed light on the increments in smartphone use and decrements in sleep quality, health-related quality of life, and physical activity among adolescents from “before” to “during” the COVID-19 pandemic (all p 0.05). Conclusion: The findings of this study revealed the effects of policies related to COVID-19 pandemic on health-related behaviors among adolescents and emphasized the importance of adopting appropriate coping strategies to promote healthy lifestyle during confinement.

Background & Purpose: Burnout is considered as a detrimental factor in athletes’ performance and psychological health in which its formation, several psychological traits may play a role. To identify formation mechanisms of burnout, the present research studied the relationship of positive and negative perfectionism with burnout in martial arts athletes. Methodology: In this cross-sectional-correlational study, 107 athletes (58 males and 49 females, mean of age 24 years) completed the Positive and Negative Perfectionism Scale and Athlete Burnout Questionnaire, and collected data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression model at 95 percent confidence level. Results: Participants reported high and moderate levels of positive and negative perfectionism, respectively, and moderate to low level of burnout. The dimensions and total level of burnout were related negatively to positive perfectionism and positively to negative perfectionism. Positive and negative perfectionism explained 27.6%, 16.4%, 11.4%, and 23.5% of variance in reduced sense of accomplishment, emotional and physical exhaustion, devaluation, and total level of burnout, respectively. Conclusion: With similar predictive abilities but in different directions, positive and negative perfectionism have decreasing and enhancing effects on athletes’ burnout in martial arts.

Methods: To conduct this research, which was carried out with a phenomenological qualitative method, 13 professional athletes in individual sports in the country and using purposive sampling method, 13 people were selected as a sample in the qualitative section. Then, in order to collect data from them, semi-structured interviews were conducted and coding was done in both primary and secondary forms. Results: After the interviews, the initial codes were identified that 24 codes in three dimensions of mental effects including codes (increased stress, reduced mental health, obsessive-compulsive disorder, increased anxiety, decreased attention, prevalence of depression, formation of mental fatigue, disorder) Fear, psychosis, creating negative emotions, frustration), behavioral effects including codes (creating obsessions, creating problems with sleep quality, decreased mood, insecure decision making, increased violence, decreased interpersonal emotions) and social effects including Codes (collectivism, low social skills, poor athletic performance, reduced capital, social distrust, extreme isolation and family conflicts). Although the use of written methods is the first step in the influence of technology in physical education, with the advancement of computers and new technologies, the method of media education is fully developed and has created an interaction between learning and bridging the gap between audio education and audio-visual education. Physical education is one of the most important subject matters in the field of education to educate students to be sociable and responsible. As the use of educational technology can increase the participation of students more actively and engage them in this lesson, the aim of this study is to investigate the effects mentioned and the use of technology in the learning and teaching of physical education in schools. Methods:The present study is a qualitative-observational and case study that was conducted through interviews and observation of activities. The statistical population is all students and teachers of Gorgan city in Iran. Three schools were randomly selected from among the selected schools. Eight students were randomly selected from each class. Six teachers from each school were randomly selected to be interviewed. Three methods have been used to collect data for this research: 1) interview with the teacher, 2) interview with students, 3) observation of the classes during the activity. To achieve the objectives of the research, special classifications were made. These classifications are as follows: 1) Observing the quality of physical education (entertainment, activity, progress), and 2) Observing the performance of oneself and others (self-efficacy, motivation and group dynamics). In this study, video cameras were used to record the performance of students to increase motivation and learning physical education among them. Data were collected during two periods of school observation and telephone interview with the teacher a few days after the second observation. Findings:The results showed that students value learning new skills in physical education such as combat (5 people agreed) and entertainment (5 people agreed) and consider it a key component for quality of physical education. More interestingly, the students believed that the use of videotaping for recording their performance increased the success of the lesson. Students also consider the use of technology in physical education as one of the methods for successful physical education. In this regard, teachers find the use of technology in physical education in schools more useful and believed that it affects the emotional and social developments of students. Based on the findings of the present study, it seems that students have considered activeness, being in a group, staying healthy and having fun as the main components of the quality of physical education. Teachers believe that a virtual tutor is a good way to motivate students. Conclusion:Technology should be for the awareness and improvement of the quality of physical education and learning, and the combined use of the two will lead to the growth and improvement of teacher education and student learning. This research can justify and recommend the use of technology in elementary school physical education, which is more focused on increasing the quality of physical education, so the main goal is to develop motor skills. The use of technology in education can help teachers to enhance all aspects of learning (physical, emotional, social and cognitive) in students by using this opportunity.

The aim of this study was to identify those factors affecting the growth of knowledge based companies in the field of sport. The method of this study was survey which was conducted as a field. The statistical population included all managers and experts of knowledge based companies in the field of sport in Tehran city. Based on the information obtained from Tehran Science and Technology Park, they were 43 subjects and all of them were selected as the sample by census sampling method. A questionnaire used by Somsuk and Laosirihongthong (2013) was employed to collect data. After Delphi method, the items and factors of this questionnaire were adjusted according to the sport status of Iran. One-sample t test was used to determine the status of each factor of the study. The AHP statistical method was used to rank these factors. All data analysis was performed in SPSS and Super Decisions software. The results showed that among the identified factors, organizational and marketing factors (with a level above the average) were in a desirable condition, but economic, technological and human factors (their average was lower than level 3) were in an undesirable condition in knowledge based companies. The ranking results showed that economic factor (with a closeness coefficient of 0.652) was the most important factor in improving the performance of knowledge based companies in sport. The results also revealed that technology factor (with a closeness coefficient of 0.158) was the least important factor in improving the performance of knowledge based companies in sport.

Background: the aim of this research was to investigate the effects of a period of selected physical activity on improving the fundamental skills of manipulation and locomotion in children with neuropsychological learning disabilities. Methodsː the present research was semi-experimental. A total of 30 students with neuropsychological learning disorders with an average age of 7.76 participated in this research selected by available sampling. The instrument utilized in this research was the test of Gross Motor Skills. After performing the pretest of locomotor and manipulative skills, the participants were classified homogeneously into experimental and control groups. The experimental group, in addition to taking part in their routine classes at school, also participated in twelve 45-min sessions (three sessions per week) in the Spark program. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of grit on excercise self-efficacy and participatory performance in elite athletes in Gorgan city, Iran. This study was a descriptive-correlation study. Moreover, it was applied research in terms of purpose that was performed as monitoring. The statistical population of this study included all athletes invited to the national team from Gorgan city (i.e., 286 individuals). The statistical sample was equal to the statistical population, so 228 questionnaires were collected. To collect data, several standard questionnaires were used. Methods: The present research is methodological and a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. In the qualitative section, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 faculty members and sports officials. In the quantitative part, content validity was measured by content validity ratio using Lawshe table. Content Validity Index was measured by Waltz & Bausell method. The construct validity was calculated by exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis among 460 participants in public sports in West Azerbaijan province who were randomly selected by cluster sampling. Reliability was measured by internal consistency method by calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient and composite reliability was performed by 40 participants of public sports in West Azerbaijan province who were non-random and convenience. Data analysis was performed in SPSS. 24 and PLS. 1.2. 3. Results: From the findings of the qualitative section, scale items were obtained. The content validity ratio was 0.73 and the Content Validity Index was 0.84. The results of factor analysis with 192 items showed 16 subscales. The reliability of the scale was obtained by internal consistency method by calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient of subscales between 0.72 to 0.92 and composite reliability between 0.73 to 0.94. Conclusions: The" Factors Affecting Sports Poverty Scale" was developed with validity and reliability. Therefore, its use is recommended to measure and identify the factors affecting sports poverty.

Internet addiction is nowadays believed to be the most prevalent harm that currently affects families, especially teenagers and young adults. In the current research, we aimed to further delve into it by examining the association of Internet addiction with mental health and physical activity in teenage girls, considering the mediating role of parental attitude toward Internet use. Methods: Herein, 459 girls attending state schools of Tehran, Iran in 2022 were recruited utilizing convenience sampling method. The mean age of these girls was 12.21±1.28 years old. Standard instruments were used for assessing physical activity, mental health, and parental attitude toward Internet use. Pearson correlation test and structural equation modelling were also utilized for data analysis. Results: The present study revealed that on average, teenage girls had low levels of physical activity (1.97±1.54). In addition, they were found to use a relatively high amount of the Internet (2.18±1.76). Moreover, Internet addition was significantly and directly associated with mental health (depression, T=5.769; anxiety, T=3.332; stress, T=4.529). This issue was also significantly and indirectly associated with physical activity (T=-6.482). Study aim: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of observing the real, animated and combined model demonstrations on cognitive and motor learning of a basketball jump shot. Material and methods: Forty-five subjects with mean age of (11.03 ± 1.7) were randomly divided into three groups: real, animated and combined model demonstrations. Subjects were asked to perform basketball jump shot task during a four-step process. In total, participants shot 150 shots (10 shots in the pretest, 120 shots and 40 observations in the practice phase, and 10 shots in the posttest and the retention test). Accuracy scores and cognitive status were assessed as dependent variables. Results: Results showed that observation of real, animated and combined model demonstrations had significant effects on motor and cognitive learning of a basketball jump shot. Moreover, there was no significant difference between observing animated model and real model demonstrations at motor level, however, animated model demonstration group performed better than real model group at cognitive level. Finally, combined model demonstration group performed better than both animated and real model demonstrations groups. Conclusions: Results suggested that observing animated model demonstration is an appropriate approach for learning basketball jump shot even in children. It is also recommended to use animated model demonstration as a complement to real model.
