Demographic changes with an elderly population and more patients living longer with chronic illnesses will result in an increased need for care (OECD/EuropeanUnion 2022, Maresova et al. 2019). Remote patient monitoring (RPM), which allows patients to monitor their health and medical conditions from locations outside of healthcare, such as at home, is one example of a new digital service intended to simplify for patients, nurses, and other health professionals. RPM can broadly be defined as the use of digital technology (apps, sensors, wearables) that enables people to monitor their health and well-being automatically,systematically, and over time – for example, aspects like diet, exercise, sleep, mood,blood pressure and heart rate (e.g., Feng et al. 2021, Azevedo, Rodrigues & Londral2021). RPM aims at enhancing patients' quality of life through self-care and active participation while also optimizing healthcare resource utilization by reducing in-person visits and hospital admissions. However, there is a lack of evidence of patient benefit and risks (Vallo Hult et al. 2023), and more research is needed regarding how RPM affects clinical practice and how healthcare professionals perceive its impact on their work (Černá 2019;, Vallo Hult et al. 2019; Islind et al.2022). In this study, we focus on how nurses' work is changed by RPM. In their professional development, it is mandated that nurses should develop the ability to use digital technology in the care of patients, like remote care (Asthma, Allergy,and COPD Nurses Association, 2015). Previous research has identified and outlined challenges and essential knowledge for the digitalization of healthcare, highlighting the need for more research on learning, collaboration and competence development (Svensson 2019;, Vallo Hult et al. 2020; Svensson & Vallo Hult 2022), especially regarding nurses continuous professional development, and what role collegial and collaborative learning and knowledge sharing have for

Extensive research shows nurses’ work environment to be particularly stressful. This study develops, explores, and psychometrically tests a new profession-specific questionnaire identifying generalised and specific resistance resources, that make it possible to measure resources to manage work-related stress. An exploratory study design was employed. The questionnaire development was inspired by the MEASURE approach and the salutogenic theory of health. Building on the results from a literature review of nursing research and salutogenesis, supplemented by twelve interviews with hospital nurses, an item pool was generated. The first version was pilot-tested in a group of nurses who were studying to become specialist nurses. The second version of the questionnaire was psychometrically tested on a sample of registered nurses in close patient care (n = 475), analysed using confirmatory factor analysis to test seven predefined domains of the questionnaire. The analysis revealed a first order seven-domain model of 21 items: job satisfaction, professional role, work motivation, commitment, belonging in the workplace, factors and conditions for remaining in the profession, and workload. From an intersectional perspective, we examine how the vulnerability of older women to intimate partner violence is adressed in the social service´s governing documents and in professional´s description of their work. To fulfill this objective and best formulate our study, we have chosen to combine two qualitative methods, document analysis with an interview study. Older women and their vulnerability to intimate partner violence are largely invisible in both research, policy documents and in the descriptions of the professional social work with intimate partner violence in older women. The lack of standard definitions and unifromity in research makes it difficult to get a comprehensive picture of the problem´s prevalence and its meaning. It also means that the professionals can not acquire sufficient knowledge, feeling thet they have lack of knowledge on the subject. Overall, our conclusion is that the social work with older women´s vulnerability to initmate partner violence is almost invisible. Which means that there is probably a large unknown number of older women who are exposed to violence in a close relationship.

Objective This study describes nurses’ experiences of using eHealth for assessment in the healthcare of patients with asthma. Methods Five nurses with experience of using Asthma Tuner in the healthcare of patients with asthma participated in the study. Individual semi-structured interviews were conducted with the nurses to understand their experiences of using the eHealth system. The transcribed interviews were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results The results show that nurses as well as patients find the tool useful and easy-to-handle. AsthmaTuner gives the nurses access to more and better information about the patients, which facilitates assessments and makes their work more efficient. The patients become more involved in their care, gain increased control and take more responsibility for their illness and treatment. Conclusions The nurses appreciate eHealth in asthma care. Using AsthmaTuner makes the nurses’ work more efficient and the patients become more involved in their care.

The purpose of our thesis was to investigate preschool teachers’ views on the children's need for movement in preschool activities. We wanted to know how children are given opportunities for movement in preschool. The method for finding out about the survey was through semi-structured interviews with identical and open-ended questions, as well as follow-up questions. We interviewed four preschool teachers each and there were eight teachers in total. The results show that preschool teachers think that movement is important, but they plan and respond to children's movement needs in different ways. Some preschool teachers´ see movement from a health perspective while others see movement as useful for learning. Where movement can easily be overlooked, as preschool teachers do not appreciate or do not feel able to plan movement activities. When movement does take place, it is then well planned and structured and adapted to the nature of the group of children for the day. Some of the preschool teachers think that movement activities are good and are positive. There are movements activities like dancing, various games, and obstacle courses that children appreciate and are happy to participate in. Preschool teachers believe that movement is a good tool for learning. Some of the preschool teachers believe that it helps the children to gain an understanding of their learning and that they see movement from a health point of view. The Conclusion shows that some of the preschool teachers see body and mind as completeness. That the body is at the centre of learning, while movement activities create community. Whilst other preschool teachers divide body and mind and do not see that connection. They see movement as health-promoting activities. We could see that preschool teachers take care of the children's movement needs according to their own ability depending on how close or not movement is to them., Syftet med vårt examensarbete var att synliggöra förskollärares syn på barnens behov av rörelse i undervisningen. Vi ville veta hur förskollärare ser på barnens möjlighet till rörelse i förskolans verksamhet. Metoden för att ta reda på undersökningen var via semistrukturerade intervjuer med identiska och öppna frågor, samt följdfrågor. Vi intervjuade fyra förskollärare var och totalt blev det åtta intervjuer. Resultatet visar att förskollärare tycker att det är viktigt med rörelse men att de planerar och bemöter barnens rörelsebehov på olika sätt. Där rörelse lätt kan hamna i skymundan, då förskollärare inte uppskattar eller inte tycker sig kunna planera rörelseaktiviteter. I våra intervjuer framkom det att förskollärare använder sig av rörelseaktiviteter när de är välplanerade och strukturerade, samt anpassad efter hur barngruppen är för dagen. Vissa förskollärare tycker att det är bra och positivt med rörelseaktiviteter. De rörelseaktiviteter som till exempel sker i förskolans verksamhet är dans, hinderbanor och olika lekar som barnen uppskattar och gärna deltar i. Förskollärarna menar att rörelse är ett bra verktyg för inlärning. Vissa förskollärare anser att det hjälper barnen att få en förståelse vid sin inlärning och vissa förskollärare ser rörelse ur en hälsosynpunkt. Slutsatsen visar att vissa förskollärare ser kropp och hjärna som en helhet, vilket vi kan koppla till den fenomenologiska teorin. Där kroppen är i centrum för lärande samtidigt som rörelseaktiviteter ses som ett verktyg som skapar gemenskap. Medan andra förskollärare delar på kropp och själ och inte ser det sambandet, utan ser rörelse som hälsofrämjande aktiviteter. Vi kunde se att förskollärare tar tillvara barnens rörelsebehov efter sin egen förmåga beroende på hur nära eller inte rörelse ligger till hands för dem.

Aim:To explore the influence of personality traits and beliefs about medicines on adherence to treatment with asthma medication. Methods:Respondents were 35 asthmatic adults prescribed controller medication. They answered questionnaires about medication adherence, personality traits, and beliefs about medicines. Results:In gender comparisons, the personality traits “Neuroticism” in men and “adherence to medication” were associated with lower adherent behaviour. Associations between personality traits and beliefs in the necessity of medication for controlling the illness were identified. Beliefs about the necessity of medication were positively associated with adherent behaviour in women. In the total sample, a positive “necessity-concern” differential predicted adherent behaviour. Conclusion:The results imply that personality and beliefs about medicines may influence how well adults with asthma adhere to treatment with asthma medication.

The theme of this essay is surrogate motherhood. This is the practice whereby one woman carries a child for another woman. The other woman and her partner are called the commissioning couple. When the surrogate mother has given birth, the child is handed over to the commissioning couple. The commissioning couple may be the genetic parents of the child, or the surrogate mother may have contributed by donating one of her eggs i.e. genetically she is the mother. Surrogacy is a form of assisted reproduction which is not legalized in Sweden today. In taking this standpoint, the Swedish legislator has given a number of various reasons; one of them being that the method is unacceptable from an ethical point of view. The primary purpose of this essay is to describe and to analyse the motives given by the legislator as to why this form of assisted reproduction is not desirable in the Swedish judicial system. To best achieve this goal, the report initiates with a brief survey of the methods of assisted reproduction that are currently allowed by Swedish law. At the moment surrogacy is not explicitly prohibited by Swedish law, which results in practise of the method. This may lead to legal implications for all parties involved in a surrogacy agreement. The most prominent legal problem that may arise concerns the question of the legal parenthood. According to the legal presumption mater est quam gestatio demonstrat, the surrogate mother is considered to be the legal mother of the child. To be able to obtain status as legal parents the commissioning couple has to circumvent the law, which of course may lead to unexpected situations and unwanted results, for the commissioning couple as well as for the surrogate mother. Case NJA 2006 s. 505 gave rise to the only decision from the Swedish Supreme Court on surrogacy and illustrates the difficulties that may arise. In this case, the court did not allow the woman from the commissioning couple, who was also the biological (in Swedish; g, Denna framställning behandlar ämnet surrogatmoderskap. På 1980-talet, då frågan för första gången behandlades, ansågs det strida mot adoptionslagstiftningen. På senare tid har metoden främst ansetts oacceptabel ur ett etiskt perspektiv. Det primära syftet med denna framställning är att redogöra för och analysera de motiv som lagstiftaren uppgett till varför denna reproduktionsform inte anses önskvärd i den svenska rättsordningen. För att på bästa sätt kunna utvärdera lagstiftarens argument för detta ställningstagande, samt för att sätta metoden i sitt sammanhang, inleds arbetet med en kortare genomgång av de former av assisterad befruktning som idag är tillåtna enligt svensk rätt. Att agera som, eller att anlita en, surrogatmoder är emellertid inte explicit förbjudet enligt svensk lag och det medför att metoden används av svenska par, som inte har möjlighet att skaffa barn på annat sätt. Detta kan leda till rättsliga komplikationer för alla de parter som ingår i ett dylikt arrangemang. De rör främst frågan om vilka som skall anses vara barnets föräldrar. I enlighet med moderskapspresumtionen i 1 kap. 7 § FB är det surrogatmodern som blir barnets rättsliga moder. En möjlighet för kvinnan ur det beställande paret att erhålla rättslig status som barnets mor är att ansöka om adoption av barnet. För mannens del kan reglerna om faderskapsbekräftelse i föräldrabalken vara en väg till det rättsliga

The purpose of this essay is to discuss the growing participation of international non-governmental organisations (INGO) in peace-building operations and if their growing participation can be combined with their non-party mandate in conflict areas. The discussion is based on Jonathan Goodhand’s theory which is a critique of the minimalist and maximalist strategies. Firstly, the intention is to analyse the problems which are created during the implementation of local ownership and capacity building. Secondly, the purpose is to discuss the dilemmas that may arise as a result of using the minimalist and maximalist strategies, and a possible development of Goodhand's theory, which may serve as a contribution to a complex discussion. My conclusion is that INGOs should not disregard, especially, the minimalist strategy, since it can be seen as a good starting point for their growing participation in peace-building operations.

En okontrollerad astma kan leda till komplikationer i lungor och luftvägar. Astma kan kontrolleras med läkemedelsbehandling men fullständig astmakontroll uppnås inte alltid. Den vanligaste orsaken till att astmakontrollen inte uppnås är brister i följsamheten till astmamedicinering. Syfte: 1) Att undersöka om personlighetsdrag hos unga vuxna med astma var relaterad till astmakon-troll och hälsorelaterad livskvalitet, samt belysa samband mellan personlighetsdrag och följsamhet till regelbunden a... merstmamedicinering. 2) Att belysa samband mellan personlighetsdrag, uppfattning om läkemedel och följsamhet till astmamedicinering. Material och metod: I Studie I ingick 268 individer (165 kvinnor och 103 män) i åldern 22 år (±1år). I Studie II ingick 35 patienter (25 kvinnor och 10 män) med en medelålder av 52.8 år. I studierna an-vändes frågeformulär för att samla in data om personlighet, följsamhet, astmakontroll, hälsorelaterad livskvalitet och uppfattning om läkemedel. Resultat: Personlighet hade samband med följsamhet till astmamedicinering, uppfattningar om läke-medel, astmakontroll och hälsorelaterad livskvalitet. I Studie I framkom att de som skattade sig mer impulsiva rapporterade lägre följsamhet. Ett negativt samband fanns mellan höga värden i personlig-hetsdraget alexitymi (bristande intresse att förstå och prata om känslor) och följsamhet till astmamedi-cinering hos unga vuxna män. Likaledes framkom ett negativt samband mellan personlighetsdraget antagonism och följsamhet hos unga vuxna män. Hos båda könen var personlighetsdraget negativ af-fektivitet relaterat till dåligt kontrollerad astma. Det indikerades att personlighet kan påverka den men-tala hälsan hos både unga kvinnor och män, medan den fysiska hälsan hade samband med astmakon-troll och fysisk aktivitet. Vår avsikt är att i denna uppsats utifrån Donald L. Horowitzs teori om etniska konflikter, förklara varför etniska majoriteter attackerar etniska minoriteter. Vi utför en fallstudie av Sri Lanka och av händelserna innan juli 1983 dvs. det som ledde fram till upploppet, ?Black July?. Sri Lanka kan ses som ett avvikande fall, då det ofta är minoriteter som attackerar de styrande majoriteterna under inbördeskrig. Sri Lanka är dock inte det enda fallet, andra exempel är Rwanda, och Tyskland. Black July, brukar ses som inbördeskrigets startpunkt och var en anti-tamilsk attack från den singalesiska befolkningen. Singaleserna var under denna tidpunkt den styrande majoriteten på ön och utförde kraftig diskriminering mot den tamilska befolkningen. Som svar använde tamilerna sig främst av civil olydnad för att förbättra sina omständigheter, med några få och små skaliga undantag. Det var ett sådant undantag som brukar ses som startgnistan för upploppet, ett upplopp som resulterade i tusentals tamilska dödsoffer och över hundra tusen tamilska flyktingar. Vår avsikt är kortfattat att undersöka varför singaleserna dödade tusentals civila i respons på en gerillarörelses attack på singalesisk militär, en attack som resulterade i femton singalesiska dödsoffer.
