The beneficial effects of dietary β-carotene and vitamin A on Parkinson disease (PD) have been confirmed, but some studies have yielded questionable results. Therefore, this meta-analysis investigated the effect of dietary β-carotene and vitamin A on the risk of PD.The following databases were searched for relevant paper: PubMed, Embase, Medline, Scopus, Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang Med online, and Weipu databases for the relevant paper from 1990 to March 28, 2022. The studies included were as follows: β-carotene and vitamin A intake was measured using scientifically recognized approaches, such as food frequency questionnaire (FFQ); evaluation of odds ratios using OR, RR, or HR; β-carotene and vitamin A intake for three or more quantitative categories; and PD diagnosed by a neurologist or hospital records.This study included 11 studies (four cohort studies, six case-control studies, and one cross-sectional study). The high β-carotene intake was associated with a significantly lower chance of developing PD than low β-carotene intake (pooled OR = 0.83, 95%CI = 0.74-0.94). Whereas the risk of advancement of PD was not significantly distinctive among the highest and lowest vitamin A intake (pooled OR = 1.08, 95%CI = 0.91-1.29).Dietary β-carotene intake may have a protective effect against PD, whereas dietary vitamin A does not appear to have the same effect. More relevant studies are needed to include into meta-analysis in the further, as the recall bias and selection bias in retrospective and cross-sectional studies cause misclassifications in the assessment of nutrient intake.

In the Stenting and Aggressive Medical Management for Preventing Recurrent Stroke in Intracranial Stenosis (SAMMPRIS) trial, 19.1% of ischemic strokes occurred out of the territory of previously symptomatic stenosis during the mean follow-up period of 23.4 months. However, it is unknown how many ischemic strokes were due to a previously asymptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis (ICAS). The objective of this study was to investigate whether the concomitant asymptomatic ICAS influences the outcome of patients undergoing symptomatic ICAS stenting.We retrospectively reviewed 576 consecutive patients with nondisabling ischemic stroke (modified Rankin scale score of ≤3) who were treated with symptomatic ICAS (≥70% stenosis) stenting with or without concomitant asymptomatic ICAS. The baseline characteristics and the 30-day primary end points (stroke or death after stenting) were compared by bivariate and multivariable logistic analyses.The 30-day rate of primary end points was 5.2%, which was higher in patients with concomitant asymptomatic ICAS (≥50% stenosis) than in those without asymptomatic ICAS (no stenosis or50% stenosis) (8.9% versus 3.8%, P = .014). In patients with concomitant asymptomatic ICAS, 25% of ischemic strokes occurred out of the territory of the stented artery, whereas in patients without asymptomatic ICAS, no ischemic stroke occurred out of the territory of the stented artery. Multivariable analysis showed that concomitant asymptomatic ICAS was an independent risk factor for 30-day stroke (odds ratio = 2.37, 95% confidence interval, 1.14-5.63; P = .023).Concomitant asymptomatic ICAS (≥50% stenosis) might increase the 30-day risk of stroke in patients undergoing symptomatic ICAS stenting.

The active high temperature resistant insulation material is devised to fulfill the specified requirements of the packing material. The complex material K2O.6TiO2 whisker/expanded perlite/resol was prepared in 20mm thickness, its back temperature was stable below 180°C in fire test with its front surface burned by the fire at 950°C—1050°C, but its compressive strength was 4.22MPa and its impact strength was just 0.43 kj/m2 Whereas the back temperature of the complex material Al2(SiO3)3 fiber/resol was stable below 140°C under the same test condition and its density and physical strength can be control. the compressive strength of the complex material Al2(SiO3)3 fiber/resol was between 5.0MPa and 30.0MPa versus the density between 0.75g/cm3 and 1.05g/cm3 while its impact strength was hardly influenced by the density. The thermal coefficient of the material through the fire test became lower. The analysis of its structure and thermal behavior show the complex material prepared possesses the function of active high temperature resistant insulation.

Sustainable urbanization is an important measure to ensure the harmonious development of China’s economy and society. However, many problems exist in the process of urbanization, such as misunderstanding of the functions of city government, deteriorated urban ecosystem, lacking of rational planning of urban land, the urban-rural dual system, uncoordinated urban and rural construction, and so on. Therefore, corresponding system must be improved to ensure the rapid and rational development of sustainable urbanization.

As public goods, hospital materials lack internal cost pressure and external efficiency motive, so there are many problems in the supply system of hospital materials - the sluggish prediction of medical material demand as well as the patient-oriented response plan, ineffective information communication and coordination between supply and demand of materials, inadequate standardization of management process, and the unreasonable external purchase, storage and distribution of materials. The innovation of supply chain management technology offers some potential benefit. From the definition of supply chain management, the connotation of hospital supply chain management system is explained; the constitution and realization model of hospital supply chain management system are analyzed; some basic problems are pointed out in hospital supply chain management system. It is concluded that, from an institutional innovation perspective, hospital resource efficiency would be improved by the model of supply chain management.

With the continual development of information technology, building an E-government system which is adapted to actual conditions of China is increasingly becoming an important issue. In this paper, by comparing the electronic "one stop "service platform and the traditional model of government, the author analyzes how to use the "one stop" service platform to optimize the path of China's E-government processes. It specifically includes: to implant the part of authentication to "one stop" service platform, to create a stand-alone server to establish a separate e-mail system for the government, to build a more complete system of making government affairs public and electronic databases on the "one-stop" platform with the spirit of servicing and being responsible for citizens, to aim at providing a good environment for businesses and citizens under the condition of market economy, to build a system of unified tax and monitoring of the whole society on the "one-stop" platform. According to these, the paper concludes that based on "one-stop" platform, the process of E-government would be optimized.

This paper presented H/sup /spl infin// control designs of a complex nonlinear system which can be modeled by a dynamic neural network. Two kinds of new H/sup /spl infin// control design methods are developed. One tries to attenuate both modeling error and the external disturbance to a prescribed level via the H/sup /spl infin// control term, the other tries to attenuate the external disturbance only via the H/sup /spl infin// control, whereas the modeling error is dealt with by a sliding mode control term.
