We prove the existence of Morita model structures on the categories of small simplicial categories, simplicial sets, simplicial operads and dendroidal sets, modelling the Morita homotopy theory of ( ∞ , 1 ) {(\infty,1)} -categories and ∞ {\infty} -operads. We give a characterization of the weak equivalences in terms of simplicial presheaves, simplicial algebras and slice categories. In the case of the Morita model structure for simplicial categories and simplicial operads, we also show that each of these model structures can be obtained as an explicit left Bousfield localization of the Bergner model structure on simplicial categories and the Cisinski–Moerdijk model structure on simplicial operads, respectively.

Generalizing a result of Dwyer and Kan for simplicial categories, we characterize the morphisms of multi-sorted simplicial algebraic theories and simplicial coloured operads which induce a Quillen equivalence between the corresponding categories of algebras., Comment: 21 pages. Business process management (BPM) is a strategic advantage for all kinds of organizations, including information technology companies (ITCs), which cannot stay out of the BPM approach. ITCs manage business processes like projects to create and maintain software. Although Project Management Systems (PMSs), such as Microsoft™ Project Server® (MPS®), are considered as non-process-aware information systems (Non-PAISs), they may be a source to generate processes. In this paper, we propose a reverse engineering approach, which uses patterns to transform software projects stored in MPS® legacy databases into software business processes. For this, we base on the model-driven engineering paradigm and deal with the time perspective of the processes. &is kind of experiences are scarce or almost nonexistent, so we show the AQUA-WS project case study, which runs with MPS® as source system and software process modeling languages as target systems. ITCs can benefit from this research by gathering knowledge about perspectives of their processes that would otherwise be wasted, such as executed projects or expired documents used in Non-PAISs. &is fact can become a key factor for ITCs, which can increase their competitiveness and reduce software costs, as part of the BPM lifecycle of continuous improvement. This paper introduces PLEC, a par-ticipative process for designing GUI interfaces with the collaborationof the final users and stakeholders. Given a left Quillen presheaf of localized model structures, we study the homotopy limit model structure on the associated category of sections. We focus specifically on towers and fibered products (pullbacks) of model categories. As applications we consider Postnikov towers of model categories, chromatic towers of spectra and Bousfield arithmetic squares of spectra. For stable model categories, we show that the homotopy fiber of a stable left Bousfield localization is a stable right Bousfield localization., 20 pages. By using homotopy transfer techniques in the context of rational homotopy theory, we show that if $C$ is a coalgebra model of a space $X$, then the $A_\infty$-coalgebra structure in $H_*(X;\mathbb{Q})\cong H_*(C)$ induced by the higher Massey coproducts provides the construction of the Quillen minimal model of $X$. We also describe an explicit $L_\infty$-structure on the complex of linear maps ${\rm Hom}(H_*(X; \mathbb{Q}), \pi_*(\Omega Y)\otimes\mathbb{Q})$, where $X$ is a finite nilpotent CW-complex and $Y$ is a nilpotent CW-complex of finite type, modeling the rational homotopy type of the mapping space ${\rm map}(X, Y)$. In this paper, we prove a conjecture of Blumberg and Hill regarding the existence of $N_\infty$-operads associated to given sequences $\mathcal{F} = (\mathcal{F}_n)_{n \in \mathbb{N}}$ of families of subgroups of $G\times \Sigma_n$. For every such sequence, we construct a model structure on the category of $G$-operads, and we use these model structures to define $E_\infty^{\mathcal{F}}$-operads, generalizing the notion of an $N_\infty$-operad, and to prove the Blumberg-Hill conjecture. We then explore questions of admissibility, rectification, and preservation under left Bousfield localization for these $E_\infty^{\mathcal{F}}$-operads, obtaining some new results as well for $N_\infty$-operads., Comment: This version has been accepted to Algebraic & Geometric Topology

We present an approach for early testing based on the Model-Driven paradigm.We offer the view of a tool for solve this problem.We present some real experiences where this approach was offered. Test phase is one of the most critical phases in software engineering life cycle to assure the final system quality. In this context, functional system test cases verify that the system under test fulfills its functional specification. Thus, these test cases are frequently designed from the different scenarios and alternatives depicted in functional requirements. The objective of this paper is to introduce a systematic process based on the Model-Driven paradigm to automate the generation of functional test cases from functional requirements. For this aim, a set of metamodels and transformations and also a specific language domain to use them is presented. The paper finishes stating learned lessons from the trenches as well as relevant future work and conclusions that draw new research lines in the test cases generation context. Display Omitted

We study the (\infty, 1)-category of autoequivalences of \infty-operads. Using techniques introduced by Toen, Lurie, and Barwick and Schommer-Pries, we prove that this (\infty, 1)-category is a contractible \infty-groupoid. Our calculation is based on the model of complete dendroidal Segal spaces introduced by Cisinski and Moerdijk. Similarly, we prove that the (\infty, 1)-category of autoequivalences of non-symmetric \infty-operads is the discrete monoidal category associated to Z/2Z. We also include a computation of the (\infty, 1)-category of autoequivalences of (\infty, n)-categories based on Rezk's \Theta_n-spaces.

Testing in Software Engineering is one of the most important phases although, unfortunately, it cannot be always successfully fulfilled due to time constraints. In most cases, the development phase takes more time than it was estimated, entailing negative effects on the testing phase. The delay increases even more in Research and Development (R + D) projects, where the real time to execute tasks is more difficult to control. Model Driven Engineering (MDE) offers a solution to avoid testing costs without affecting the execution quality of the applied test. This paper presents a practical overview of a Model Driven Testing (MDT)-based methodology and its impact on CALIPSOneo project, which was carried out in liaison with Airbus Defense and Space and, particularly, with the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) department.

We describe the rational homotopy type of any component of the based mapping space map*(X,Y) as an explicit L ∞ algebra defined on the (desuspended and positive) derivations between Quillen models of X and Y. When considering the Lawrence–Sullivan model of the interval, we obtain an L ∞ model of the contractible path space of Y. We then relate this, in a geometrical and natural manner, to the L ∞ structure on the Fiorenza–Manetti mapping cone of any differential graded Lie algebra morphism, two in principal different algebraic objects in which Bernoulli numbers appear.

We describe the formal properties of cellularization functors in triangulated categories and study the preservation of ring and module structures under these functors in stable homotopy categories in the sense of Hovey, Palmieri and Strickland, such as the homotopy category of spectra or the derived category of a commutative ring. We prove that cellularization functors preserve modules over connective rings but they do not preserve rings in general (even if the ring is connective or the cellularization functor is triangulated). As an application of these results, we describe the cellularizations of Eilenberg-Mac Lane spectra and compute all acyclizations in the sense of Bousfield of the integral Eilenberg-Mac Lane spectrum., 19 pages

Despite the fact that the test phase is described in the literature as one of the most relevant for quality assurance in software projects, this test phase is not usually developed, among others, with enough resources, time or suitable techniques. To offer solutions which supply the test phase, with appropriate tools for the automation of tests generation, or even, for their self-execution, could become a suitable way to improve this phase and reduce the cost constraints in real projects. This paper focuses on answering a concrete research question: is it possible to generate test cases from functional requirements described in an informal way? For this aim, it presents an overview of a set of relevant approaches that works in this field and offers a set of comparative analysis to determine which the state of the art is.

We prove a Dold–Kan type correspondence between the category of planar dendroidal abelian groups and a suitably constructed category of planar dendroidal chain complexes. Our result naturally extends the classical Dold–Kan correspondence between the category of simplicial abelian groups and the category of non-negatively graded chain complexes.

The response over time of the QT interval and the Transmural Dispersion of Repolarization (TDR) to Isoproterenol infusion (ISO) in an 85 year-old-man with severe and syntomatic bradycardia, in the setting of an Amiodarone-induced Long QT Syndrome (LQTS) is the subject of this communication. ISO shortened the QT and decreased the TDR. We propose that ISO increased the generation of signals from the β-Adrenergic Receptor (β-AR) restoring the components of the hKCNQ1 macromolecular complex, thereby enhancing the I Ks function; shortening of the QT interval, reduction of the TDR and normalization of the T wave morphology was then possible. In Amiodarone-induced LQTS, the increase in I Ks activity promoted by β-AR stimulation is prominent; at the same time, during I Kr block, I Ks activation limits excessive QT prolongation. Clinically, severe and syntomatic bradycardia was the main concern: ISO activation of the β-AR proved useful both to increase heart rate and to reduce QT prolongation. A slow heart rate, associated to a prolonged QT interval and to a big TDR, are not sufficient to develop Torsades de Pointes in Amiodarone-induced LQTS.

We describe full exposure of an acquired Long QT Syndrome (aLQTS) in an elderly female patient on long-term Amiodarone treatment. We propose that the aLQTS is the result of combined block of the rapid (I Kr ) and delayed (I Ks ) components of the outward potassium current (I K ), translated to the ECG in a (more than expected) prolonged QT interval, an augmented transmural dispersion of repolarization (TDR) and an interrupted T wave. The unequal regression of repolarization lengthening made possible to individualize I K current components in the inscription of the interrupted T wave, which argues against the U wave as a separate entity. Silent ion channel gene mutations or polymorphisms and downregulation of β-adrenergic activation of I Ks may underlie the unusual repolarization behaviour. The unequal regression over time of Amiodarone-induced repolarization lengthening could have clinical significance.

This paper aims at giving a global vision of the most popular web engineering approach. Web systems have woken up a high interest in companies and in the research community in the last years. Thus, techniques and methods are being proposed in order to offer a suitable framework to deal with the special characteristics of the web. For these reasons, some years ago a new line in the software engineering appeared. This line, then named web engineering, has grown in the last years, proving that web systems have special characteristics that require a special treatment. One of the most treated characteristic is the navigation. Navigation is a critical aspect in web systems and its suitable development in the life cycle is a basic need to guarantee the project quality. This survey shows how navigation is treated in 15 web proposals, which are the most referenced ones, and it analyses the available techniques, models and the possible gaps in the treatment.

The acquired Long QT Syndrome (aLQTS) is attributed to subtle defects in genes encoding potassium currents (Ik) that may become clinically significant when associated with other factors that impair ventricular repolarization, such as female gender, bradycardia, hypokalemia or the administration of ion channel blocking drugs. We describe full exposure of an aLQTS in a elderly female patient on long-term Risperidone treatment just when bradycardia due to complete AV block developed. We postulate that the aLQTS induced is the result of a combined block of the rapid (I(Kr))and delayed (I(Ks)) components of the Ik current. The electrocardiographic manifestation of (likely) phase 2 early afterdepolarizations and a critical transmural dispersion of repolarization (TDR), both required for the initiation and maintenance of the polymorphic ventricular tachycardia associated with the syndrome (Torsades de Pointes), are as well shown. Risperidone should be used with caution in female patients prone to bradycardia.
