En 1971 el director sueco Jan Lindqvist realiza en la comunidad de Churo (Cusco, Perú) el documental testimonial Agripino, donde los campesinos de la localidad denuncian en primera persona los abusos a los que se han visto sometidos por el hacendado en un contexto de implementación de la Reforma Agraria. Luego de 50 años, la película regresa a la comunidad y, a partir de ello, decidimos hacer un nuevo filme en la misma zona: Buenos días, wiraqocha. ¿Qué impactos tuvo la ejecución de la Reforma Agraria en las personas que habitaron dicha comunidad?, ¿es posible construir, de forma conjunta, la representación de sus memorias en un documental?, ¿qué metodologías emplear para este nuevo proyecto?

IntroductionFungal foliar diseases can severely affect the productivity of the peanut crop worldwide. Late leaf spot is the most frequent disease and a major problem of the crop in Brazil and many other tropical countries. Only partial resistance to fungal diseases has been found in cultivated peanut, but high resistances have been described on the secondary gene pool.MethodsTo overcome the known compatibility barriers for the use of wild species in peanut breeding programs, we used an induced allotetraploid (Arachis stenosperma × A. magna)4x, as a donor parent, in a successive backcrossing scheme with the high-yielding Brazilian cultivar IAC OL 4. We used microsatellite markers associated with late leaf spot and rust resistance for foreground selection and high-throughput SNP genotyping for background selection.ResultsWith these tools, we developed agronomically adapted lines with high cultivated genome recovery, high-yield potential, and wild chromosome segments from both A. stenosperma and A. magna conferring high resistance to late leaf spot and rust. These segments include the four previously identified as having QTLs (quantitative trait loci) for resistance to both diseases, which could be confirmed here, and at least four additional QTLs identified by using mapping populations on four generations.DiscussionThe introgression germplasm developed here will extend the useful genetic diversity of the primary gene pool by providing novel wild resistance genes against these two destructive peanut diseases.

RESUMEN Introducción: La malnutrición está relacionada con una disminución de las capacidades funcionales en personas adultas mayores. Estudios en población adulta mayor han demostrado asociación directa entre el índice de masa corporal (IMC) y las limitaciones funcionales. Objetivo: Determinar la relación existente entre el nivel de autovalencia y el estado nutricional en población de adultos mayores chilenos. Metodología: Este estudio de carácter cuantitativo descriptivo transversal, analizó una muestra de 837 sujetos de la comuna Los Andes en Chile, a través de una base de datos anonimizada con las atenciones realizadas el año 2017. Para análisis estadístico se aplicó la prueba Chi-cuadrado con un nivel de confianza del 95%, y se determinó el OR para observar el tipo de asociación. Resultados: Según los resultados estadísticamente significativos, existe una asociación negativa entre el “estado nutricional normal” y la “autovalencia con riesgo” (OR= 0,62 p= 0,0012), comportándose como factor protector. Por otra parte, existe una asociación negativa entre el “estado nutricional de obesidad” y la “autovalencia sin riesgo” (OR= 0,51 p= 0,0001) y una asociación positiva con la “autovalencia con riesgo” (OR= 1,54 p= 0,0067) y la dependencia (OR= 1,68 p= 0,001). Conclusión: Un estado nutricional normal se asoció a un menor riesgo de dependencia en la población adulta mayor. La malnutrición por exceso podría ser un factor de riesgo de dependencia.

This research analyses the internalizing and externalizing symptoms and the coping strategies of young victims of abuse. These young people are in residential care under protective measures due to abuse. The participants were 61 youths (32 male and 29 female) between 12 and 17 years of age. Different works of research stress the need for an early identification of the psychopathological symptomatology that these adolescents may present in order to provide an adequate psycho-educational intervention. The relationship between the adolescents’ psychopathological symptomatology and the coping strategies and styles they use to resolve problems is studied. It is also analyzed whether internalizing and externalizing problems predict the style and coping strategies of adolescents. Two tests were used: 1. Child and Adolescent Evaluation System (SENA); 2. Adolescent Coping Scales (ACS). The results indicate that young victims of abuse have internalizing and externalizing symptoms. These adolescents are characterized by an unproductive coping style, as well as by the use of coping strategies that are not very functional and ineffective for resolving conflicts. The psychopathological symptomatology is related to and predicts an unproductive coping style, badly adapted to solving daily problems (worrying, blaming oneself, not coping, ignoring the problem, or keeping it to oneself). This research has allowed us to identify the presence of several areas of vulnerability in these young persons which could be playing an important role in their psychosocial maladjustment. The research suggests the design of intervention strategies, for both groups and individuals, aimed at mitigating and modifying the sources of the problems in victims of child abuse.

The existence and multiplicity of T-periodic solutions to a class of differential equations with attractive singularities at the origin are investigated in the paper. The approach is based on a new method of construction of strict upper and lower functions. The multiplicity results of Ambrosetti–Prodi type are established using a priori estimates and certain properties of topological degree.

The nutritional characterization of ten available agroindustrial residues in the San Martin region, Peru, was carried out. Nineteen residue samples were collected from 11 agroindustrial companies dedicated to oil palm, rice, cacao, coffee, coconut, and peach palm production. A proximal analysis was done to establish dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), ethereal extract (EE), crude fiber (CF), nitrogen-free extract (NFE), and ash. Besides, in vitro apparent dry matter digestibility (IVADMD), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), protein fractions, usable crude protein (uCP), total digestible nutrients (TDN) and net energy of lactation (NEL) were determined. Results showed significant differences between agroindustrial residues according their nutritional potential (p 1/4 grain size, and rice dust, were energetic inputs with high NEl (2.1 ± 0.02, 2.1 ± 0.02 and 1.7 ± 0.02 Mcal/kg dry matter, respectively) and IVADMD values (99.3 ± 0.25 %, 90.5 ± 0.42 % and 99.0 ± 0.68 %, respectively). Besides, the inputs with the highest protein contribution were coconut cake and cacao husk (21.9 % and 21.8 ± 1.34 % of CP, respectively). Palm fiber and rice husk were the fibrous residues with lower use potential due to their low IVADMD (27.8 ± 2.45 % and 27.7 ± 5.02 %, respectively) and high NDF (69.8 ± 4.17 % and 72.6 ± 6.45 %, respectively). Heart of palm husk showed moderated IVADMD (57.2 %) and high NDF (60.4 %) values. Agroindustrial residues of the San Martin region have a varied energy and protein use potential in cattle feeding.

Although the burrower bug (Cyrtomenus mirabilis) is considered a vitalsoil pest in peanut crops, Arachis hypogaea L., in South America, there is little information on its occurrence and damage characterization. This study aimed to evaluate the vertical distribution and fluctuation of the burrower bug in the soil and the damage this species causes in peanuts. Two peanut cultivars (IAC OL3 and IAC 503) were evaluated in three locations in the state of São Paulo: Pindorama, Ribeirão Preto and Votuporanga, in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 harvests. Trenches were dug 0.5 m long, 0.3 m wide and 0.3 m deep, along plant lines at four spots on each sampling date, and stratified in layers 10 cm deep. Plant samples (0.5 m) were collected and evaluated for number of pods and percentage of kernels with symptoms of insect damage. More than 85 % of the C. mirabilis population was found in depths of up to 10 cm, especially after plant fructification, and an increase in nymphs from 100 days after sowing (DAS) was seen when an increased number of maturing pods was observed. The occurrence of nymphs and adults of C. mirabilis and their damage to peanut kernels was similar in both cultivars (IAC OL3 and IAC 503), when these were harvested according to their developmental cycles.

‘IAC Sempre Verde’ is a medium-seeded runner-type peanut highly resistant to late leaf spot and rust, the main diseases in peanut cultivation in Brazil. The newly released cultivar showed remarkable yield advantage over controls when diseases were not controlled and represents the first possibility for peanut cultivation under “Organic” management.

Este estudo faz um breve relatório e uma análise dos dados relativos às três questões que encerram o terceiro bloco de perguntas do questionário aplicado na pesquisa de campo em busca do perfil dos “padres novos” no Brasil, relativas a como está a vida e a relação do presbitério entre seus membros e com o bispo (questão 8), como veem os presbíteros em geral (questão 9) e qual o modo mais adequado de um presbítero vestir-se hoje (questão 10). A abordagem começa por um breve relatório dos dados, seguido de uma análise dos mesmos, enfocando as mudanças que a Igreja católica vem sofrendo desde a realização do Concilio Vaticano II (1962-1965). Para isso, toma como referencial, por um lado, o perfil dos padres das décadas de 1970/80, alinhados à perspectiva sócio pastoral “evangelização/libertação” e, por outro, o perfil dos “padres novos”, que se remetem à perspectiva “institucional/carismática”. Constata que a renovação conciliar levou a Igreja de uma postura apologética frente ao mundo a uma relação de diálogo e serviço, mas por pouco tempo, pois sofreu um revés enorme nas décadas posteriores, com repercussões profundas no ser e agir dos presbíteros. Na atualidade, o novo pontificado de Francisco resgata a renovação conciliar, mas não sem reticencias e até mesmo com a oposição dos segmentos alinhados à perspectiva “institucional/carismática”.

Los grandes avances tecnológicos, la característica intrínseca del Internet, (inexistencia de fronteras), y el aumento de usuarios inexpertos, se han convertido en el principal campo de acción de cibercriminales que están al asecho para crear novedosas y complejas formas de infringir la ley. A su vez, estos adelantos, que han contribuido a lo que hoy conocemos como “Globalización” han jugado un papel trascendental en el crecimiento económico del mundo, ya que conllevan un sinnúmero de ventajas y desventajas, que han sido de provecho a usuarios y organizaciones. Su creciente vínculo, traspasa las fronteras de los países creando espacios suficientes a diferentes ámbitos de la vida, sociedad, negocios diversos, entre otros. Por otro lado, la mencionada inexistencia de fronteras, ofrece un mayor número de oportunidades a cibercriminales de perpetrar diferentes actos o comportamientos antisociales, principalmente agresiones mal intencionadas a sistemas de información. Estos hechos han motivado a los gobiernos, a hacer frente a tales circunstancias aportando respuestas expeditas que faciliten la protección de los usuarios, tanto empresas como particulares, a través de regulaciones las cuales desde hace mucho tiempo se han tratado de unificar para que exista una misma normativa a todos los países. En 2001 el consejo europeo asumió este reto, tratando así de mitigar el problema de la supranacionalidad, pero de acuerdo al estudio exhaustivo por la ONU en 2013, el verdadero foco del problema son los países menos desarrollados, pues estos son los mayormente vulnerables al cibercrimen.Es de aquí donde surge el objetivo e interés de este artículo, investigar cuales son las regulaciones o normativas existentes en Panamá, que pueden controlar, prevenir o mitigar esta problemática latente a nivel mundial que puedan afectar específicamente a los Sistemas de Información Contables y Administrativos y por ende las organizaciones y usuarios que utilicen los mismos.

Based on previous experiences using the ConvitVax, an autologous tumor cells/bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG)/formalin-based vaccine, in breast cancer and the potential success of combined therapies, we sought to ascertain whether the ConvitVax combined with anti-PD-1 enhances the antitumor effect in a 4T1 breast cancer model. Animals received four weekly injections of either PBS (G1), ConvitVax (200 μg cell homogenate, 0.0625 mg BCG, 0.02% formalin) (G2), 50 μg anti-PD-1 (G3), or ConvitVax plus anti-PD-1 (200 μg cell homogenate, 0.0625 mg BCG, 0.02% formalin, 50 μg anti-PD-1) (G4). Five weeks post tumor induction all mice were euthanized, tumors extracted and evaluated pathologically and by immunohistochemistry. The combination group (G4) showed 10% more tumor necrosis, greater infiltration of PD-1 + cells and lower infiltration of TAMs, evidencing that the combination of ConvitVax and anti-PD-1 can improve the antitumor effect of the vaccine. Using a higher anti-PD-1 dose and administering each treatment at different times could further potentiate the effect of our therapy. Given the vaccine’s low cost and simple preparation, its use in combination with checkpoints or other target-specific compounds may lead to a highly effective personalized breast cancer immunotherapy.

This work analyses sexist attitudes, cognitive strategies and social attitudes in young people between 12 and 16 years of age, attending secondary education. The objective is to identify the psychological inertia that hinders a change in the behaviour patterns of young people who discriminate against women. We explore the presence of significant differences in the variables under study according to gender; we analyze the relationship between sexist attitudes and cognitive and social strategies; and we explore whether the variable, “gender”, can predict cognitive and social strategies and attitudes that impede the shift towards a more egalitarian treatment of women. We analyze sexist attitudes and cognitive and social strategies that encourage the inertia of psychological inaction in 1034 high school students. Two instruments were used to evaluate the variables under study: 1. ISA-Adolescents. Inventory of Ambivalent Sexism for Adolescents; 2. AECS. Questionnaire on Social Cognitive Strategies and Attitudes. The results show that these young people do not present cognitive and social strategies that make such change difficult. We verify that men do have sexist attitudes to a greater extent than women, and we show that gender can predict the psychological inertia that makes the change in sexist behaviour patterns more difficult. In the same way, we have observed significant correlations between the variables under study. This work stresses the need to incorporate educational measures that favour an egalitarian, cognitive and socio-emotional development in both regulated education and alternative educational programmes.

This research studies the executive processes of youths under protective measures between 13 and 18years of age, as well as the emotional problems they have and the presence of behavioural problems, such as difficulties to control and direct attention, to control one’s own behaviour and inhibit inadequate or ineffective responses (hyperactivity-impulsiveness) and problems related to emotional regulation. In addition, we study the presence of significant differences according to the sex of the youths. We also analyse to what extent the difficulties in the executive processes are related to and can predict the emotional and behavioural problems. The instruments used were Stroop’s Colour and Word Test (Stroop), the Paths Test (TESen), and the System of Evaluation for Children and Adolescents (SENA). The results indicated that the youths had difficulties in such executive processes as execution, speed, and accuracy in carrying out tasks. Furthermore, they had emotion problems, amongst which the symptoms of anxiety are worthy of note; whilst attention deficit, hyperactivity-impulsiveness, and problems related to emotional regulation could also be observed. The data indicated greater difficulties in the executive processes for males than for females. There was a greater emotional symptomatology in the females, whilst there were greater deficits in attention and hyperactivity/impulsiveness in the males. Similarly, the deficits in the executive processes were related to and predicted emotional and behavioural problems. This research suggests the design of a structured programme focused on systematic training in real, daily situations, recommending the use of restorative techniques to work on the affected cognitive skills and techniques aimed at improving the youths’ emotion regulation.

A resolução de modelos computáveis de equilíbrio geral (CEG) para modelos de grande porte é a principal contribuição deste trabalho. Métodos quantitativos para a construção, calibragem e solução de modelos CEG de grande porte são apresentados na forma de rotinas computacionais destinadas ao pesquisador em economia. O algoritmo ACI (Atualização de uma Coluna por Iteração) - um método quase-newtoniano secante para resolução de sistemas não-lineares de grande porte (Gomes-Ruggiero [27], Martínez [41]) - é aqui acrescentado ao Pegasus - um sistema de arquitetura aberta de suporte computacional à análise aplicada de equilíbrio geral (Scaramucci [56], Bordoni [5]). Algumas características introduzidas nessa imple mentação, como o uso de alocação dinâmica de memória, o armazenamento das equações do modelo em forma simbólica, o cálculo do jacobiano do sistema não-linear por diferenças finitas e o armazenamento esparso de matrizes viabilizam a resolução de modelos econômicos de grande porte de maneira eficiente e flexível. Outra contribuição apresentada aqui é um conjunto de procedimentos para construir modelos CEG de grande porte a partir de informações do banco de dados do GTAP (Global Trade Analysis Project) [34] Abstract: There has been a growing interest for quantitative analysis of global economic issues in areas such as international trade, economic development and growth, agriculture and environment. The main contribution of this work is to offer tools for solving large-scale computational general equilibrium (CGE) models. Quantitative methods for constructing, calibrating, and solving large-scale CGE models are presented as computational routines for the economic equilibrium practitioner. The one-column updating (ACI) algorithm - a quasi-Newton secant method for solving large-scale nonlinear systems (Gomes-Ruggiero [27], Martínez [41]) has been added to Pegasus an open-ended computational system for applied general equilibrium (AGE) analysis (Scaramucci [56], Bordoni[5]). Features introduced in this implementation include the use of dynamic memory allocation, symbolic storage of model equations, finite difference evaluation of the system Jacobian, and sparse matrix storage make it feasible to solve large-scale economic models in a efficient and flexible way. Este trabalho apresenta uma proposta de compatibilização entre a Classificação Nacional das Atividades Econômicas (CNAE), do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) e a classificação do Balanço Energético Nacional (BEN), do Ministério das Minas e Energias (MME), necessária para se construir séries de valores adicionados dos setores e segmentos industriais energo-intensivos. Aplicando-se o modelo integrado de Equilíbrio Geral e Desagregação Estrutural (MEG-DES) a essa base de dados obtém-se projeções da demanda industrial de energia. À guisa de ilustração da aplicação dessa metodologia, são apresentadas projeções da demanda de energia do setor químico e de seus segmentos para o ano de 2026, em cenários de crescimento econômico e de consumo energético tendenciais e alternativos.

We study the Dirichlet boundary value problem u ′ ′ = h ( t ) sin 2 u , u ( 0 + ) = c 1 , u ( T − ) = c 2 , where c 1 , c 2 ∈ [ 0 , π ] and h : [ 0 , T ] → R is a Lebesgue integrable function. The forcing term under consideration is the product of a nonlinearity which is singular at two points with a weight function h . We prove that the corresponding singular boundary value problem is solvable only if the weight function does not change its sign. Therefore, our main result is stated under this setting: supposing that h : [ 0 , T ] → [ 0 , + ∞ ) , the existence and multiplicity of solutions to the aforementioned problem is guaranteed if and only if h ¯ is small enough.

This research analyses the emotional and behavioural problems, as well as the problems in the executive functions, of children in residential care under protective measures, between 8 and 12 years of age. We analyse the relationship between the problems with their executive functions and their emotional and behavioural problems, as well as the predictive value of the executive functions for the said emotional and behavioural problems. The instruments used were as follows: five digits test (FDT), behavioural assessment of the dysexecutive syndrome in children (BADS-C) and the system of evaluation for children and adolescents (SENA). The results indicate that the children have difficulties in their executive functions, with such problems as in attention control and regulation, impulsiveness, mental rigidity, behavioural organisation and planning and resolving problems. They also have internalising and externalising problems, as well as difficulties in controlling their emotional reactions and understanding the emotions of others. It becomes evident that the difficulties in their executive functions are related to and predict their emotional and behavioural problems. The research demonstrates the need to intervene in the problems detected through the design of therapeutic programmes and interventions in the residential context.

As a consequence of the main result of this paper efficient conditions guaranteeing the existence of a T −periodic solution to the second-order differential equation $${u}^{\prime \prime} = \displaystyle{{h(t)} \over {u^\lambda }}$$are established. Here, h ∈ L(ℝ/Tℤ) is a piecewise-constant sign-changing function and the non-linear term presents a weak singularity at 0 (i.e. λ ∈ (0, 1)).

We analyze the existence of T−periodic solutions to the second-order indefinite singular equation \begin{document}$ u'' = \beta \frac{{h\left( t \right)}}{{{{\cos }^2}u}} $\end{document} which depends on a positive parameter β > 0. Here, h is a sign-changing function with h = 0 and where the nonlinear term of the equation has two singularities. For the first time, the degenerate case is studied, displaying an unexpected feature which contrasts with the results known in the literature for indefinite singular equations.

This research analyses the cognitive and affective empathy, as well as the coping styles and strategies in youths in residential care between the ages of 12 and 17 years. The youths are subject to protection measures due to experiences of abuse and/or neglect. It analyses the relation between the dimensions of empathy and the coping styles and strategies, as well as the contribution of empathy in predicting how the youths cope with problems. The results show that both the affective and cognitive dimensions of empathy are affected. The youths have difficulties to adopt different perspectives and emotional understanding, and they manifest low levels of empathic stress and empathic joy. Their scarce cognitive and affective empathy is connected with and predicts an unproductive coping style which is oriented towards the self. This research provides highly useful information for the design of programmes based on empathy and coping for youths suffering neglect.

Chance fracture, suggestive of a flexion-distraction mechanism, is an uncommon type of injury in the pediatric population. Its occurrence, with associated intra-abdomimal lesions, has increased with the widespread use of seat belts. Since this type of fracture presents subtle variations on common image examinations, its diagnosis may be delayed increasing the probability of subsequent neurologic deficits. In this paper we report the case of three siblings, victims of a motor vehicle head-on collision,either presenting seat belt fracture or Chance fracture. They were treated in the Hospital João XXIII, Belo Horizonte. The case reported reinforces the hypothesis describing the fracture mechanism and associated intra-abdominal injuries.

Se realizó una caracterización nutricional de 10 residuos agroindustriales disponibles en San Martín, Perú. Se colectaron 19 muestras de residuos provenientes de 11 plantas agroindustriales dedicadas a la producción de aceite de palma, arroz, cacao, café, coco y chontaduro. Se determinó la materia seca (MS), proteína cruda (PC), extracto etéreo (EE), fibra cruda (FC), extracto libre de nitrógeno (ELN), ceniza, digestibilidad aparente in vitro de la materia seca (DIVMS), fibra detergente neutro (FDN), fraccionamiento de proteína, proteína cruda utilizable (uCP), nutrientes digestibles totales (NDT) y energía neta de lactación (ENL). This research analyses the level of psychosocial adaptation of young victims of physical neglect who are under care orders for their protection and in residential care centres. The aim was to determine the relationships between the different levels of competence and/or functioning in the various areas of adaptation. Young people between the ages of 12 and 14 years participated in the study. The instruments used to evaluate their psychosocial adaptation were the Inventory of Behavioural Adaptation and the Multifactorial Self-evaluation Child Adaptation Test. The results indicate that young people suffering from physical neglect have difficulties in various areas of psychosocial adaptation. There is evidence of greater problems in the personal, social and school context than in the family context. This research work analyses the emotional intelligence (EI) and the social cognitive attitudes and strategies in adolescents between 12 and 17 years of age in residential care. The aim of the work is to identify those aspects that hinder their socio-emotional competence, requiring a more urgent intervention. We explore the presence of significant differences between the variables under study according to gender and age range (12–14 and 15–17) and we analyse the relationship between the dimensions of their EI and their social competence. The results show a lack of EI in these adolescents, with all three dimensions being affected: emotional attention, clarity of feelings and emotional repair. As for social competence, it can be seen that the adolescents are characterised by a lack of confidence and firmness in their interactions. This research analyzes social communication disorders, as well as social cognitive strategies and attitudes, in 12–17-year-olds in residential care. The research is carried out in the Residential Childcare Centers of the Region of Extremadura (Spain). The research shows that social communication disorders in victims of child abuse hinder social competence, making opportunities for interaction more difficult. The subjects show deficiencies in the use of communication for social purposes. As for prosocial attitudes, it can be seen that these young people are characterized by a lack of the following: social sensitivity, self-confidence and firmness in their interactions, and leadership. With respect to social cognitive strategies, what stands out is the following: an impulsive cognitive style, independence, a rigidity of ideas, and a tendency towards social distrust and suspicion. Furthermore, it is in the strategies for solving social problems that the greatest difficulties can be appreciated. The research stresses the need for the design of individual and group intervention plans focusing on the main difficulties observed.
