Predicting stock prices is a fascinating and difficult area of study. The economies of developed nations are compared to their power economies. As a result of their easy profits and low risk rate of return, stock markets are currently regarded as an illustrious trading field. For researchers in data mining and business, the stock market is thought to be a good place to work because of its numerous and constantly changing information sources. In order to assist investors, management, decision-makers, and users in making correct and informed investment decisions, we used the k-nearest neighbour algorithm and a non-linear regression approach in this paper to predict stock prices for a sample of six major companies listed on the Jordanian stock exchange. The results indicate that the KNN algorithm is reliable with a low error ratio; Consequently, the outcomes were reasonable and rational. Additionally, the prediction results were nearly identical to the actual stock prices, depending on the data on the stock price.

Diagnosing the novel Covid-19 disease is the best way to precluding the loss of human deaths. This research mainly concentrates on visually observable symptoms that can be seen on the lung X-rays of humans. Novel Covid-19 monitoring of health and diagnosing the disease in humans is very critical for sustainability to medical. Nowadays, it is difficult to detect the Covid-19 positive cases because of limited equipments, and also it needs the presence of medical experts in the identification of disease. Moreover, excessive processing time is required. For diagnosing the disease machine learning approaches play a very important role in the normal or abnormal state of Covid-19. For detection various steps are involved, such as acquisition of images, preprocessing, and segmentation of images. For automatic detection of Covid-19 disease, X-ray of lungs plays an important role. Hence we first segment it using various segmentation techniques in artificial intelligence.

Overall around the world, mammary cancer is one of the most common tumors among women and it almost causes death. By distinction, breast cancer is an increasingly critical problem among all countries around the globe. This paper study reports an analysis of data to predict the values of the patient’s survived or may die within 5 years after mammary cancer treatment regarding the survival of breast cancer patients who have undergone surgery. Logistic regression and decision tree were binary classification models performed to determine the correct percent of breast cancer survival rates and death rates. In this experimental study, data analysis was examined in Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software to guide statistical students and researchers about performing statistical tools easily on a computational basis. An attempt has been made to enhance the model to predict and describe the best fitting correlation between the dichotomous and explanatory values implementing through binary classification models.

PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to elucidate the efficiency of BTX-A injections as an alternative approach in patients with excessive gingival display and to observe the patient’s satisfaction in order to obtain cosmetically promising results. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Fifteen patients of whom ten female and five male with different types of gummy smiles such as anterior (53%), posterior (7%) and mixed (40%) reported to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Thai Moogambigai Dental College and Hospital, Chennai, Tamil Nadu from December 2018 to October 2019 those who were willing to undergo corrections using Botulinum Toxin Type A (BTX-A) were selected for the present study using various inclusion and exclusion criteria. The patients were injected with BTX-A on Yonsei triangle accordingly. The clinical evaluation and patient satisfaction evaluation were carried out. RESULTS: A significant decrease in the gingival exposure of about 3.5 ± 1 mm at 2 weeks after injection was observed and it lasted for 4 months. It was also noted that there was no difference in the measurement of gingival display on maximum smile for postinjection during 5th and 6th month when compared with preinjection measurements. This study confirms that the efficacy of BTX A injection lasted for 4 months and then gradually reduced resulting in reversal of gingival display during maximum smile. CONCLUSION: The authors conclude that in the cosmetic correction of gummy smile by BTX-A, it is important to identify the type of smile and the main muscles involved, so that the correct injection technique can be used. It also confirms that BTX-A is a novel, competent, risk-free and minimally invasive nonsurgical therapy that can extensively improve smile aesthetics.

The design of reinforced concrete moment-resisting frames and hence beam-column connections is of great importance in earthquake prone areas. Beam-column joints, which should be sufficiently strong to resist and sustain lateral loads, are designed on the basis of the strong-column weak-beam concept so that they undergo ductile failure. The present study describes the cyclic loading performance of six interior beam-column connection specimens designed to be seismic-resistant with varying aspect ratios, concrete compressive strengths, and beam bar yield strengths. Results indicate that joint ductility and energy dissipation capacity can be enhanced by maintaining a unit aspect ratio. Moreover, joint shear strength can be improved significantly by increasing concrete compressive strength. Beam bar yield strength is observed to influence joint ductility considerably.

Background: Autologous platelet rich fibrin (PRF) and Recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 (rhBMP 2) technologies have been shown to significantly support alveolar bone. The present randomized, controlled clinical trial was conducted to compare the clinical and radiographic efficacy of autologous platelet rich fibrin (PRF) and recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 (rhBMP 2) in the treatment of intrabony defects (IBDs) in patients with chronic periodontitis. Methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial conducted where in the IBDs were treated with either autologous PRF with open flap debridement (OFD) or recombinant rhBMP 2 with OFD or OFD alone. Clinical and radiologic parameters including probing pocket depth, clinical attachment level (CAL), IBD depth, defect fill, and percentage of original defect resolved were recorded at baseline and 6 months postoperatively. Results: The mean pocket depth reduction was greater in PRF (1.3 ± 0.78 mm) than rhBMP 2 group (1.3 ± 0.78 mm). No significant difference was seen in CAL gain in PRF and rhBMP 2 groups (3.3 ± 0.43 mm and 1.2 ± 0.74 mm, respectively). However, the percentage of original defect resolved was significantly greater in rhBMP 2 group (41.1% ± 19.2%) compared to PRF group (26.75% ± 6.03%). Conclusions: Within the limits of the present study, results suggest that in terms of hard tissue regeneration, rhBMP 2 has shown significantly better outcome in treatment of IBDs. However, PRF encourages superior soft tissue healing compared to rhBMP 2. Furthermore, added advantages of PRF being readily available and cost effective cannot be disregarded.

Fluorosis is one of the factors which bring about mineralisation changes in a dentinal structure leading to dentin. The purpose of the present study was to compare and evaluate the dentinal tubular changes in fluorosed and nonfluorosed teeth subsequent to the application of citric acid,strontium acetate based sodium fluoride (SAF) using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Dentin specimens from healthy fluorosed and nonfluorosed teeth were included in the study. Each of them was grouped into acid treated and SAF treatment groups. Using SEM, the photomicrographs (3500x) of dentin specimens were evaluated. Results showed while there was a significant difference in tubular width of partial occlusion ≤ 25%, being more in fluorosed group compared to nonfluorosed group after application SAF. Application of desensitising agents demonstrated higher number of dentinal tubular occlusion and diameter reduction in nonfluorosed dentin compared to fluorosed dentin. Summary: Root biomodification and desensitising agent procedure brings in definite difference between fluorosed and non-fluorosed dentin specimens.

Nanotechnology involving cellulosic substrates has generated a great attention owing to their exceptional physical and chemical properties. Self-assembled nanostructures obtained from carbohydrate polymers are of interest in the biomedical field for the biocompatibility and non-toxic nature. In the present study modification of nano-fibrillated cellulose (NFC) synthesised from the husk fibers of Areca catechu nuts (AHF) was studied by controlled regio-selective amidation with oleylamine (OA) and characterized. The modified system (MNFC) with more than 66% OA content showed self-assembly into unilamellar vesicles of 2-5μm diameters with a wall thickness of 300-600nm in tetrahydrofuran (THF) at 2.5mgmL-1. This result is attributed to the folding of MNFC into bilayers driven by long cis-unsaturated aliphatic chains in polar aprotic solvents stabilized by hydrogen bonded interactions within the fibrils. These giant vesicles formed can have applications in storage and delivery of drugs in topical applications.

Investigation and Control of Photodissociation Dynamics: An Overview

An examination of the dependence of total flux from competing photodissociation channels on the photolysis field parameters and initial vibrational states for IBr and HI molecules reveals that, for a range of field attributes, considerable selectivity and yield may be obtained by using only the ground or the ground and the first excited vibrational states in the optimal linear combination constituting the field optimized initial state (FOIST). The new simplifications obviate the need for overtone excitations or multicolor photolysis fields making it easier to implement FOIST experimentally. Concrete specifications of field attributes for achieving selective control of IBr photodissociation products is provided. (C) 2000 [S0021-9606(00)01427-6].

The probability density profiles from the optimal superpositions of the field free vibrational eigenstates which maximize flux out of the desired photodissociation channels are examined for IBr and HI molecules. Analysis of the structure in these optimal superposition states obtained by applying the Rayleigh-Ritz variational procedure to the time integrated flux operator shows that the transfer of probability density to appropriate areas of the Franck-Condon region on the excited surfaces is responsible for selective flux maximization out of different channels. Localizing the wave packet on the more repulsive part of the higher curve facilitates fast diabatic exit out of the upper channel and transition to the less repulsive part promotes slow adiabatic exit out of the lower channel. This mechanism is further probed by utilizing time dependent wave packet dynamics to obtain absorption spectra and branching ratios using full Fourier transform of the autocorrelation functions for these field optimized initial states. A new scheme for controlling photodissociation through preparation of a variationally optimized linear superposition of field free vibrational eigenstates is applied for selective control of IBr and HI dissociation. The dependence of photodissociation on various field parameters and initial conditions is examined to investigate the mechanistic basis of selective control. The parametric equations of motion approach for determining vibrational dynamics as a function of field parameters without having to solve the time dependent Schrodinger equation explicitly for each field parameter separately is outlined and its use to identify field characteristics which will provide the requisite population mix represented by the optimal linear superposition of vibrational states is advocated.

To evaluate the effects of topical hemocoagulase on intra-oral extraction sockets and impact on the healing process as well as to produce a clinico-histological healing score.This prospective study compared two extraction sites in each subject. One site received topical hemocoagulase while other site did not receive it. Both the sites were chosen in the same patient and extraction was done at separate intervals. The biopsy was done on a random basis with the pathologist being blinded to the study. Clinical evaluation was done on days 7, 14 and 21. Biopsy was done either on days 7 or 14 for the case as well as for the control. A clinical as well as histological score was developed and the healing was assessed. Statistical analysis was done using Wilcoxon signed rank test and p value ≤ 0.05 was considered significant and z-score was also calculated.The clinical score did not show any statistical significance. The histological total score on day 14 and combined overall analysis of days 7 and 14 showed statistical significance. There was an increased incidence (n = 4) of osteoid formation in the hemocoagulase group on day 14.The application of hemocoagulase may improve and accelerates the process of wound healing in extraction sockets.

SummaryDisseminated toxoplasmosis presenting as a prolonged febrile illness is rare in immunocompetent individuals. We report a probable case of acquired toxoplasmosis in an immunocompetent woman who presented with fever of 6 months duration with lymphadenopathy and splenomegaly. The diagnosis was confirmed by serology and the presence of Toxoplasma gondii tachyzoites on bone marrow aspirate. The patient was successfully treated with pyrimethamine plus clindamycin.

A study is made of the kinetics and mechanism of the reaction of radiolytically produced hydrated electron (e-(aq)) with some triazine derivatives [1,3,5-triazine (T), 2,4,6-trimethoxy-1,3,5-triazine (TMT), 2,4-dioxohexahydro-1,3,5-triazine (DHT), 6-chloro N-ethyl N-(1-methylethyl)-1,3,5-triazine 2,4-diamine (atrazine, AT), and cyanuric acid (CA)] in aqueous medium using pulse and steady-state radiolysis techniques. The second-order rate constants were determined from the pseudo first-order decay of e(-)(aq) in the presence of triazines at 720 nm, and the values obtained with T, TMT, AT, and CA are in the order of 10(9) dm(3) mol(-1) s(-1) and that of DHT was 10(8) dm(3) mol(-1) s(-1) at pH 6. The transient absorption spectra from the reaction of e(-)(aq) with T and TMT are characterized by their lambda(max) at 310 nm, and those of DHT and CA are around 280 and 290 nm, respectively. However, a very weak and featureless absorption spectrum is obtained from AT. On the basis of the spectral evidence and on the quantitative electron transfer from the transient intermediates to the oxidant, methyl viologen (MV(2+)), the intermediate radicals are assigned to N-protonated electron adducts (with the unpaired spin density at carbon) of triazines. The degradation profiles, monitored as the disappearance of parent triazine concentrations as a function of dose, obtained with AT, TMT, CA, and DHT, highlight the potential use of e-(aq) in the degradation of triazines.

The validity of different sets of model potential energy curves and functional forms for nonadiabatic and optical coupling between them used to treat IBr photodissociation is ascertained by calculation of Raman excitation profiles using the time dependent wave packet method. Epidemiological surveillance of Hepatitis B surface antigen in the city of Hyderabad at our Institute shows that the incidence of HBsAg is considerably high among the general population. In a comparative evaluation of the two techniques used, RPHA and ELISA, the latter emerged as a reliable one with high specificity and sensitivity. Screening of all blood samples by ELISA is imperative for uniform reporting of the incidence. Non risk groups like voluntary blood donors, cardiac patients serve as potential reservoirs of HBV infection.
