Achelia langi (Dohrn, 1881) türüne ait bir erkek birey Temmuz 2019 tarihinde 1.5 m derinlikten Antalya Körfezi’nden tespit edilmiştir. Türün Akdeniz’deki dağılımı, fotoğraf ve çizimi çalışmada verilmiştir. A. langi, Antalya Körfezi’nden ve Türkiye’nin Akdeniz kıyılarından ilk kez, doğu Akdeniz’den ise üçüncü kez bu çalışmada rapor edilmektedir. Bu kayıt, doğu Akdeniz’de türün bilinen dağılımını Ege Denizi’nden Türkiye’nin Akdeniz kıyılarına kadar genişletmektedir., A male specimen of Achelia langi (Dohrn, 1881) was found in Antalya Bay (Turkish coast of the Mediterranean Sea) at 1.5 m depth in July 2019. A distribution map of the species in the Mediterranean Sea is provided, together with a photograph and line drawing of the species. A. langi is reported in this study for the first time from Antalya Bay and the Mediterranean coast of Türkiye and also the third time from the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The record further extends the known distribution of this species from the Aegean Sea to the Mediterranean coast of Türkiye in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.

Amaç: Oleanolik asitten türetilen sentetik triterpenoidlerin, güçlü antiproliferatif ve antitümörojenik aktiviteye sahip oldukları bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada, bir triterpenoid olan CDDO-Me'nin insan meme kanseri hücre hatları üzerindeki sitotoksik etkilerini, meme kanserinin rutin tedavisinde kullanılan Tamoxifen ve Docetaxel ile karşılaştırarak araştırmaktır. Materyal Metod: CDDO-Me, Docetaxel veTamoxifen’in sitotoksik etkilerini incelemek için meme kanseri hücreleri olarak MCF-7 ve MDA MB-231 hücre hatları tercih edildi. Her bir ilacın çeşitli dozları hücrelere uygulanarak sitotoksik etkileri xCELLigence cihazı ile belirlendi ve ilaçların IC50 değerleri belirlendi. IC50 dozlarıyla muamele edilen hücrelerden hücre blokları hazırlanarak, histolojik ve immünohistokimyasal boyama ile proliferasyon indeksi Ki-67 ve Cyclin D1, antiapoptotik Bcl-2 ve proapoptotik Bax protein ekspresyonları skorlandı. Bulgular: CDDO-Me, Docetaxel veTamoxifen her iki hücre hattında hücre canlılığını istatistiksel olarak önemli bir şekilde inhibe etti. This article includes 23 new records of alien and cryptogenic species in the Mediterranean Sea, belonging to 4 Phyla (Chordata, Echinodermata, Arthropoda and Mollusca), distributed from the Alboran to the Levantine Sea. Records are reported from eight countries listed from West to East as follows: Algeria: new records of the Atlantic blue crab Callinectes sapidus; Spain: further spread and establishment of the sea slug Lamprohaminoea ovalis in continental shores; Tunisia: first record of the Atlantic Blue Crab Callinectes sapidus in the Gulf of Gabes; Italy: a new occurrence of the pufferfish Lagocephalus sceleratus in Northern Ionian waters; first record of Cephalopholis taeniops in the Ionian Sea; first record of the redlip blenny, Ophioblennius atlanticus in the Ionian Sea; Slovenia: first record of the isopod Paranthura japonica in Slovenia; Greece: first record of the molluscs Eunaticina papilla, Plocamopherus ocellatus and the fish Cheilodipterus novemstriatus; first record of the ascidian Ecteinascidia turbinata in Kriti; the long-spined sea urchin Diadema setosum in the Ionian Sea; Turkey: first record of the sea spider Ammothea hilgendorfi; the stomatopod Cloridina cf. ichneumon; the fishes Pempheris rhomboidea from the Sea of Marmara and Paranthias furcifer from the Aegean Sea; Lebanon: new records of the fishes Arothron hispidus, Rachycentron canadum, Heniochus intermedius and Acanthurus monroviae; first record of Acanthostracion polygonius. Ege Denizi (Doğu Akdeniz)'de, derin supandalid karidesi Plesionika heterocarpus (A. Costa, l871)'un üreme,büyüme ve populasyon dinamikleri çalışılmıştır. Bireyler aylık olarak, Mayıs2008 ve Nisan 2009 arasında Sığacık Körfezi'nden 128-550 m derinliklerarasından toplanmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde, toplam 2749 P. heterocarpusbireyi (1112 erkek ve 167 dişi) toplanmıştır. Karapaks boyu (CL), erkekbireyler için l1,30 mm ve 12,30 mm arasında dişi bireyler için 11,50 mm ve 13,00mm arasında ölçülmüştür. Yıl boyunca, dişilerin ortalama boy (CL) ve ağırlığı(W) erkeklerin ortalama boy ve ağırlığından sürekli olarak yüksek çıkmıştır.Yumurtalı dişiler yıl boyunca gözlenmiştir. Ana üreme dönemleri Mart ve Ağustosayları olarak belirlenmiştir. Mevsimsel olarak incelenen tüm gruplarda allometrikkatsayısı (b) 3'ten az bulunmuştur. Von Bertalanffy büyüme parametreleridişilerde L¥: 26,25 mm, k: 0,38 yıl-l,erkeklerde L¥: 23,63 mm, k:0,49 yıl-lolarak hesaplanmıştır., Reproductiongrowth and population dynamics of the deep-water pandalid shrimp Plesionika heterocarpus (A. Costa, 1871)were studied in the Aegean Sea (Eastern Mediterranean). Individuals werecollected monthly between May 2008 and April 2009 from 128 to 550 mof depth inSığacık Bay. A total of 2749 individuals (1112 males and 1637 females) of P. heterocarpus were collected duringthe surveys. Males ranged from 11.30 mm to 12.30 mm CL, and females rangedbetween 11.50 mm and 13.00 mm CL. The mean size (CL) and weight (W) values offemales were consistently exceeding that of males throughout the year. Ovigerousfemales were observed throughout the year. Main reproductive months can bedefined in March and August. In all the groups examined seasonally, the values ofallometric coefficient b were less than 3. Amaç: Endometrial polip ile tam kan sayımı parametreleri, nötrofil/lenfosit oranı (NLR) ve trombosit/lenfositoranı (PLR) arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendirmek.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Dumlupınar Üniversitesi Kütahya Evliya Çelebi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’nde 2014Ocak ile 2015 Haziran ayları arasında histeroskopi (H/S) yapılan hastaların dosyaları ve patoloji sonuçları tarandı.Çalışmaya toplam 96 hasta dahil edildi ve olgular yapılan H/S sonucunda herhangi bir endometrial patolojisiolmayanlar (kontrol grubu, n=45) ve endometrial polipi (polip grubu, n=51) olanlar şeklinde iki gruba ayrıldı.Gruplar arasında hemogram parametreleri, NLR ve PLR açısından karşılaştırma yapıldı. Ek olarak; polip grubukendi arasında polip sayısına göre iki gruba ayrılarak alt grup analizi yapıldı.Bulgular: Kontrol grubunu ve polip grubunun ortalama trombosit hacmi (MPV) değerleri sırasıyla 8,6±0,98 ve8,31±0,89’idi ve gruplar arasında istatistiksel anlamlı fark saptanmadı (p=0,13). Kontrol grubunun PLR değeri138,98±60,51 iken polip grubunun 146,89±61,33 idi (p=0,52). NLR ise; kontrol grubunun 2,45±1,45, polip grubunun2,79±2,25 (p=0,81) şeklinde idi. Totally 96 patients were included in the study, and based on H/Sexamination, the cases were classified into two groups as those who did not have any endometrial pathology(control group, n=45) and those who had endometrial polyp (polyp group, n=51). The groups were comparedin terms of complete blood count parameters, NLR and PLR. Additionally, the polyp group was further dividedinto two subgroups according to number of polyps, and the subgroups were compared with each other.Results: Mean platelet volume (MPV) was 8.6±0.98 fL and 8.31±0.89 fL in the control and polyp groups,respectively, and there was no statistically significant difference between the groups (p=0.13). Mean PLR valuewas 138.98±60.51 in control group, and 146.89±61.33 in polyp group (p=0.52). Mean NLR value was 2.45±1.45in control group, and 2.79±2.25 in polyp group (p=0.81). There was no statistically significant differencebetween the groups regarding complete blood count parameters, PLR and NLR values. However, according theresults of subgroup analysis, MPV was significantly higher in the group with two or more polyps compared tothe group with one polyp (p=0,035).Conclusion: In conclusion, it was determined that there was no significant relationship of endometrial polypwith complete blood count parameters, including NLR and PLR.

Vajinal leiomyomlar nadir görülen bening tümörlerdir. 45 yaşında bayan hasta son bir aydır vajende ele gelen kitle nedeniyle kliniğimize başvurdu. Hastanın jinekolojik muayenesinde vajen arka duvarda yaklaşık 3x2 cm boyutunda kitle palpe edildi. Yapılan transvajinal ultrasonografide; vajen arka duvarda 33mm çaplı solid kitle izlendi. Hastaya kitle enukleasyon ve eksizyonu yapıldı. Patolojik incelemede vasküler leiomyom olduğu tesbit edildi. Leomyomlar kadın genital traktının yaygın tümörleri olsalar da vajinal leomyomlara nadir rastlanır. Dizüri, vajinal kanama, üriner retansiyon gibi çeşitli semptomlara neden olabilirler. Vajinal yolla enukleasyon ve eksizyon genellikle tercih edilen tedavidir., Vaginal leiomyomas are bening tumors and they are rarely seen. Women patient is 45 years old. She has had palpated mass in the her vagina for last one month. We detected 3x2 cm leiomyoma in the posterior vaginal wall during gynecological examination. Solid mass was whose diameter is 33 mm showed in the posterior vaginal wall during transvaginal ultrasonography. The patient underwent excision and enucleation. It was showed vascular leiomyoma during pathological analysis. Leiomyomas are common tumors of the women genital tract but vaginal leiomyomas are seldom comed across. They cause various symptom as dysuria, vaginal bleeding, uriner retention. Vaginal enucleation and excision commonly treatment choice.

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Kliniğimizde erkek meme hastalığı nedeniyle opere edilen olgularımızın sonuçlarını retrospektif olarak değerlendirmeyi ve sunmayı amaçladık. YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Ocak 2011 ile Aralık 2015 tarihleri arasında meme cerrahisi uygulanan 28 erkek hasta retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Hasta yaşı, yapılan cerrahi yöntem, patoloji sonucu, lateralite, görüntüleme teknikleri değerlendirildi. BULGULAR: En sık yapılan cerrahi, jinekomasti amaçlı subkutan mastektomi idi. Yedi vakada bilateral jinekomasti mevcuttu. 3 hastada meme kanseri mevcuttu, patolojik değerlendirmede invazif duktal karsinom tanısı aldılar. Tüm hastalarda ultrasonografi kullanılmıştı. Mamografi hiç bir hastada uygulanmadı.. TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Erkek meme kanseri, kadın meme kanserine göre, daha nadirdir. Doktora başvuru anında genellikle ileri evre hastalık saptanmaktadır. Erkek meme kitlelerinde jinekomasti ve kanser arasında ayırıcı tanı yapılmalıdır., INTRODUCTION: We aimed to present patients who underwent surgery for male breast disease in our clinic. METHODS: 28 male patients who underwent breast surgery between December 2011 and January 2015 were retrospectively evaluated. Patient age, surgical procedure, pathology, laterality, imaging techniques were evaluated.RESULTS: The most frequently performed surgery was subcutaneous mastectomy for gynecomastia. Seven cases had bilateral gynecomastia. 3 patients had breast cancer were diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma pathological evaluation. Ultrasonography was used in all patients. Mammography never been applied to a patient.DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: Male breast cancer, compared to women, it is more rare. First admission to doctor are usually detected in advanced stage disease. Gynecomastia and male breast mass should be made between the differential diagnosis of cancer.

Aim: All gynecologic cancers are accepted as important causes of morbidity and mortality in the world. For these cancers, importance of early diagnosis / screening methods are better understood day by day. Accordingly, in our study we aimed to evaluate the smear results of the patients who admitted to our outpatient clinic in the past year.Material and Methods: We retrospectively analyzed pap smear results of patients who admitted to Dumlupinar University Kütahya Evliya Celebi Education and Research Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Outpatient Clinic between November 2013 and October 2014. In that period conventional method for pap smear was beeing used in the department of pathology of our hospital. We collected smear samples from patients who were older than 21 years old or sexually active women for at least 3 years. We analyzed the results of patients who accepted the conventional cervical pap-smear after the examinations in outpatient clinics. The results were evaluated according to the Bethesda 2001 system.Results: The results of 7466 cervical smears which were collected in last one year were evaluated. All results were divided into 2 sub-groups as transformation zone (Tz) seen or not. According to that, 1395 (18.7%) were normal smear (406, 5.43% Tz), candida infection 56 (0.75%) (31, 0.41% Tz was seen), Trichomonas infection was detected on 6 (0.08%) (2, 0.02% Tz), 141 (1.9%) showed bacterial vaginosis (39, 0.52% Tz), 5761 (77.16%) were others (atrophy, inflammation, postmenopausal changes). (3298, 44.17% Tz), 58 (0.77%) were ASC-US (36, 0.48% Tz), 2 (0.02%) LSIL, 0 HSIL, 0 AGUS, 0 ASC-H, 47 (0.62%) were insufficient material.Conclusion: As a result of our study we found a lower rate of cervical premalignant lesions in our city when compared to the literature. We thought that this situtaion is a result of good cervical smear screening practice of doctors working in our center and well informed patients are about cervical screening.Key words: Conventional technique, cervical smear, cervix cancer screening, Amaç: Tüm dünyada jinekolojik kanserler önemli bir morbidite ve mortalite nedeni olarak kabul görmekte ve bu kanserler için doğru ve erken tanı/tarama yöntemlerinin önemi gün geçtikçe daha iyi anlaşılmaktadır. Bütün bunlar göz önüne alındığında; biz de çalışmamızda son bir yıl içerisinde hastanemiz polikliniklerine başvuran hastaların smear sonuçlarını değerlendirmeyi amaçladık.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Dumlupınar Üniversitesi Kütahya Evliya Çelebi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum polikliniklerine 2013 Kasım - 2014 Ekim tarihleri arasında başvuran hastaların pap-smear sonuçlarını retrospektif olarak analiz ettik. Bu dönemde hastanemiz patoloji bölümünde konvansiyonel pap-smear yöntemi kullanılmaktaydı. Smear alınan kişiler, 21 yaşından büyük veya en az üç yıllık seksüel aktif yaşam öyküsü olan hastalardı. Polikliniklerde yapılan muayeneler sonrası konvansiyonel servikal pap-smear alınmasını kabul eden hastalara ait sonuçlar analiz edildi. Sonuçlar Bethesda 2001 sistemine göre değerlendirildi.Bulgular: Yaklaşık olarak son bir yıllık dönem içerisinde alınan 7466 servikal smear sonucu değerlendirildi. Her sonuç grubu, transformasyon zonu (Tz) görülenler ve görülmeyenler olmak üzere iki subgruba ayrıldı. Buna göre, 1395 normal smear %18,7 (406 %5,43 Tz görüldü), 56 kandida enfeksiyonu %0,75 (31 %0,41 Tz görüldü), 6 trikomanas enfeksiyonu %0,08 (2 %0,02 Tz görüldü), 141 bakteriyel vaginosis %1,9 (39 %0,52 Tz görüldü), 5761 diğer (atrofi, inflamasyon, postmenopazal değişiklik) %77,16 (3298 %44, 17 Tz görüldü). 58 ASCUS %0,77 (36 %0,48 Tz görüldü), 2 LSIL %0,02, 0 HSIL, 0 AGUS, 0 ASC-H, 47 yetersiz materyal %0,62 şeklinde belirlendi.Sonuçlar: Çalışmamız sonucunda, ilimizde servikal premalign lezyonların oranlarını literatüre göre daha düşük oranda bulduk. Bu durumu merkezimizde çalışan hekimlerin servikal tarama yöntemini doğru bir şekilde uygulamasına ve hasta popülasyonumuzun servikal tarama konusunda bilinçli olmasına bağladık.Anahtar kelimeler: Konvansiyonel teknik, servikal smear, serviks kanser taraması

Serrated adenomlar apandikste nadir görülen, genelde apandektomi sonrası tespit edilen lezyonlardır. Kanser riski nedeni ile tanı ve tedavisi daha dikkatli değerlendirme gerektirmektedir. Apandikste serrated adenom insidansı henüz bilinmemektedir. Bu tümörlerin preoperatif tanısı nadirdir. Endoskopik değerlendirme, hem tanı ve tedavide hem de tedavi sonrası takip sürecinde faydalıdır. Bu olgu sunumunda 76 yaşındaki kadın hastada standart apendektomi sonrası rutin histopatolojik incelemede sesil serrated adenom tespit edilen durum tartışılmıştır., Serrated adenomas in the appendix are rarely detected lesions usually after appendectomy. Due to the high risk of cancer diagnosis, treatment is needed to be more carefully. Serrated adenoma incidence in appendix is still unknown. The preoperative diagnosis of these tumors is uncommon. Endoscopic intervention, both in diagnosis and treatment is very useful. In this case presentation, a 76-yearold woman after a standard appendectomy patients diagnosed in histopathological examination sessile serrated adenoma was discussed.

Seborrheic keratosis (SK) also known as senile keratosis presents with multiple ovoid, sharp edged, slightly elevated, light brown to black colored papules, plaques and nodules. Theetiology is unknown. SK has 6 clinical variants descibed as dermatosis papulosa nigra, stucco keratosis, inverted follicular keratosis, large cell acanthoma, lichenoid keratosis and flat SK. Etyolojisi bilinmemektedir. SK’un, dermatozis papüloza nigra, stukko keratozu, inverted folliküler keratoz, büyük hücreli akantom, likenoid keratoz ve düz SK olarak tanımlanan 6 tipi vardır. Biz burada, bilinen SK tipleri dışında farklı klinikte ve seyirde SK olgusunu sunuyoruz.Seboreik keratoz (SK) senil karatozis, seboreik verrü, bazal hücreli epitelyoma olarak da bilinir. Başlangıç yaşı genellikle 3-5. dekatlardır. Çok sayıda oval, deriden kabarık, açık kahverengiden siyaha kadar farklı renklerde olabilen keskin sınırlı nadiren 3 santimetreden büyük boyutlarda papül, plak ve nodüller şeklindedir. En sık göğüs ve sırtta yerleşmekle birlikte müköz membranlar dışında vücudun herhangi bir yerinde oluşabilirler. Etyolojisi bilinmemeklebirlikte genetik faktörler, güneşe maruziyeti ve Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) suçlanan faktörler arasındadır. SK’nin şimdiye kadar altı tipi tanımlanmış olup bunlar; dermatozis papüloza nigra, stukko keratozu, inverted folliküler keratoz, büyük hücreli akantom, likenoid keratoz ve düz SK’dir (1).

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is a rare inflammatory dermatosis characterized by multiple nonfollicular pustules that occur on erythematous skin. Despite its similarity to pustular psoriasis and association with fever and leukocytosis, AGEP typically heals quickly. Etiologically, drugs and viruses have been suspected in most cases. Here, we present a case of AGEP, in a woman, that developed 1 day after starting bupropion for smoking cessation, as a rare side effect of the treatment.

The Anomurans of the Aegean coasts of Turkey were studied between 1987 and 1997, in the region from the Gulf of Saros in the north to Marmaris in south at 17 stations; the 811 specimens obtained were identified as belonging to 28 species. Moreover, all of the early studies were reviewed on the Anomuran fauna of Turkish coasts and it was determined that 3 species were reported from the Black Sea coasts of Turkey, 20 species from the Sea of Marmara, 27 species from the Aegean coasts of Turkey and 17 species from the Turkish coasts of the Mediterranean Sea. From the 28 species determined during this study, 5 species (Galathea nexa, Galathea cenarroi, Munida tenuimama, Pagurus chevreuxi and Paguristes syrtensis) are new records for the Aegean coasts of Turkey, and 3 species (P. chevreuxi, P. syrtensis, and G. cenarroi) are new records for the Turkish coasts.
