The transformative period of reshaping China’s Protected Area System (CPAs) requires nature reserves (NRs) to pay greater attention to policy-driven changes in land use as well as ecosystem. We take Anhui Shengjin Lake National Nature Reserve (SJLNNR) as a case study to examine policy-driven changes in ecosystem services and their trade-offs. We find that (1) policy implementation significantly increased the area of wetlands and forests while decreasing the area of cropland and impervious land. Ideally, the area of wetlands and forests could be increased by ~10200 hm2. (2) Habitat quality (HQ) and water conservation (WC) are enhanced, with the highest enhancement of 13.09% and 28.18%, respectively. Carbon storage (CS) and food production (FP) showed opposite trends across scenarios. (3) CS demonstrates trade-offs with other ESs, while the remaining ESs displayed varying degrees of synergistic relationships. Nonetheless, it should be noted that transforming extensive farmland and impervious land into diverse land-use types might not improve the synergies relationship of ESs. Rotifers are natural initial bait for fish larvae in freshwater. Here, the effects of various concentrations of acidified eggshell powder solutions (0, 20, 40, 80, 160, and 320 mg/L) on the growth and reproduction of the rotifer Brachionus calyciflorus were evaluated in culture experiments (11 days). The population density, catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, and Na and Mg contents in rotifers were significantly higher in the 20–160 mg/L groups than in the control group. A redundancy analysis showed that the Na, Mg, Cr, K, and Ca contents were positively correlated with the rotifer population density and CAT and SOD activity. Furthermore, the generation time and lifespan of F2 rotifers were significantly higher in the 20–40 mg/L treatment groups (82.0 ± 3.7 hr and 162.0 ± 2.7 hr, respectively) than in the control group (64.0 ± 4.0 hr and 128.0 ± 4.0 hr, respectively). Average egg production in F2 rotifers was significantly higher in the 20–80 mg/L treatment groups (15.2 ± 0.7 individuals) than in the control group (11.7 ± 1.2 individuals). These results indicate that 20 mg/L eggshell powder is optimal for growth and reproduction in B. calyciflorus, providing a theoretical basis for using new mineral sources in high-quality open bait for fish larvae. * Context.--Antinuclear antibodies (ANAs) against certain antigens are useful for identifying autoimmune disorders. Although new solid phase--based immunoassays have been developed for evaluating ANAs, the conventional line immunoassay (LIA) is commonly used in clinical practice. Objective.--To compare the clinical performance of 2 newly developed methods for detecting specific ANAs with LIA. Design.--Six hundred ninety-six serum samples were collected from 559 patients with autoimmune disease (AID) and 137 controls. The samples were screened by using the LIA, digital liquid chip method (DLCM), and chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) for specific ANAs. The agreement across assays and the clinical performance of each assay in diagnosing ANA-associated rheumatic diseases (AARDs) were evaluated. Results.--Almost perfect agreement was observed among all assays for anti-centromere protein B (κ = 0.85-0.97), anti-ribosome P (κ = 0.85-0.88), anti-SSA 52 (κ = 0.86-0.89), and anti-SSA 60 (κ = 0.89-0.91); moderate to substantial agreement was detected for the autoantibodies against Sm, Jo-1, ribonucleoprotein, Scl-70, and SSB (κ = 0.55-0.80). LIA exhibited better sensitivity for diagnosing AARDs, while DLCM and CLIA demonstrated higher specificity. In the subset of AIDs, especially systemic lupus erythematosus, antibody positive percentages varied greatly between assays. Conclusions.--The 3 assays showed comparable qualitative agreement; however, the standardization of testing for ANAs remains challenging owing to intermanufacturer variations. Auxin regulates plant growth and development through downstream signaling pathways, including the best-known SCFTIR1/AFB-Aux/IAA-ARF pathway and several other less characterized "noncanonical" pathways. Recently, one SCFTIR1/AFB-independent noncanonical pathway, mediated by Transmembrane Kinase 1 (TMK1), was discovered through the analyses of its functions in Arabidopsis apical hook development. Asymmetric accumulation of auxin on the concave side of the apical hook triggers DAR1-catalyzed release of the C-terminal of TMK1, which migrates into the nucleus, where it phosphorylates and stabilizes IAA32/34 to inhibit cell elongation, which is essential for full apical hook formation. However, the molecular factors mediating IAA32/34 degradation have not been identified. Here, we show that proteins in the CYTOKININ INDUCED ROOT WAVING 1 (CKRW1)/WAVY GROWTH 3 (WAV3) subfamily act as E3 ubiquitin ligases to target IAA32/34 for ubiquitination and degradation, which is inhibited by TMK1c-mediated phosphorylation. This antagonistic interaction between TMK1c and CKRW1/WAV3 subfamily E3 ubiquitin ligases regulates IAA32/34 levels to control differential cell elongation along opposite sides of the apical hook. A series of Tb3+-doped Sr2YTaO6 double perovskite phosphors (SYT:Tb3+) were synthesized using a conventional solid-state reaction method. A strong green emission was observed in the SYT:Tb3+ phosphors, and the optimal doping concentration of Tb3+ was confirmed to be 5 mol%. The electric dipole-dipole interaction was ascribed to be the main mechanism for the luminescence concentration quenching. Analysis of the concentration-dependent fluorescence decay confirmed that the self-generated quenching model holds for the dynamic process of Tb3+ decays in SYT. Furthermore, the internal quantum efficiencies, non-radiative transition rates, and energy transfer rates of the 5D4 level for the SYT:Tb3+ samples were estimated, respectively. The luminescence thermal stability of the sample was also evaluated based on the Arrhenius model. The chromaticity shift of the SYT:5 mol% Tb3+ phosphor was examined to be 0.013 when the sample temperature was increased from 303 to 483 K, thus indicating excellent chromaticity shifting resistance under high temperature conditions. Moreover, the Judd-Ofelt parameters were calculated from the emission spectra of SYT:Tb3+ to be Ω2 = 0.29 × 10-20, Ω4 = 0.45 × 10-20, and &@937;6 = 0.72 × 10-20 cm², respectively. The fluorescence branching ratios and radiative transition rates for the 5D4 level were calculated based on the obtained Judd-Ofelt parameters. Finally, a white light-emitting diode (LED) prototype was assembled using a 310 nm LED chip combined with a prepared green SYT:Tb3+ phosphor and two other commercial blue and red phosphors. The obtained warm white light exhibits good chromaticity coordinates (0.32, 0.32) and a high color rendering index of 96.1. Nitrobenzene (NB) is one of the major organic pollutants that has seriously endangered human health and the environment even in trace amounts. Therefore, it is of great significance to detect trace NB efficiently and sensitively. Herein, a porphyrinic metal-organic framework (MOF) of Mn-PCN-222 (PCN, porous coordination network) was first synthesized by the coordination between Zr6 cluster and tetrakis (4-carboxyphenyl)-porphyrin-Mn (III) (MnTCPPCl) ligand. To regulate its structure and the electrochemical properties, a phenyl group was inserted in each branched chain of TCPP to form the TCBPP organic ligand. Then, we used Zr6 clusters and manganese metalloporphyrin (MnTCBPPCl) to synthesize a new porphyrin-based MOF (Mn-CPM-99, CPM, crystalline porous material). Due to the extended chains of TCPP, the rod-shaped structure of Mn-PCN-222 was switched to concave quadrangular bipyramid of Mn-CPM-99. Mn-CPM-99 exhibited higher porosity, larger specific surface area, better electrochemical performances than those of Mn-PCN-222. By using modular assembly technique, Mn-CPM-99 film was sequentially assembled on the surface of indium-tin-oxide (ITO) to prepare an electrochemical sensor (Mn-CPM-99/ITO). The proposed sensor showed excellent electrochemical reduction of NB and displayed three linear response ranges in the wide concentration ranges. The obtained low limit of detection (LOD, 1.3 nM), high sensitivity and selectivity, and good reproducibility of the sensor for NB detection fully illustrate that Mn-CPM-99 is an excellent candidate for electrochemical sensor interface material. As an unconventional resource, oil shale possesses abundant reserves and significant potential for industrial applications. The rational and efficient development of oil shale resources holds immense importance in reducing national energy demand. In-situ catalytic technology, characterized by its high efficiency, low pollution, and minimal energy consumption, represents a key direction for future oil shale development. This paper provides a comprehensive review of research progress in in-situ oil shale mining technology, oil shale pyrolysis catalysts, the pyrolysis mechanism of kerogen, and the compatibility of different heating processes and catalysts. Furthermore, the paper proposes future research directions and prospects for oil shale in-situ catalytic technology, including reservoir modification, highefficiency catalyst synthesis, injection processes, and high-efficiency heating technology. It has been widely acknowledged that colonoscopy is the most effective method of preventing colorectal cancer because it can detect and remove precursor lesions, thereby reducing both incidence and mortality. Among these approaches, standardized colonoscopy stands out as the most efficacious method for early-stage colorectal cancer identification. Artificial intelligence is a rapidly expanding field in gastrointestinal endoscopy. This article presents a comprehensive review of the advantages and clinical evidence supporting the application of artificial intelligence in colonoscopy while also discussing prospects for utilizing artificial intelligence-assisted endoscopy in diagnosing colorectal cancer. Background Given the growing evidence on the health benefits associated with physical literacy (PL), it is necessary to develop sound measures to assess the levels of PL in children. The Physical Literacy in Children Questionnaire (PL-C Quest) is the first self-report pictorial-based scale to assess children’s perceived PL. It has good validity and reliability in Australian children aged 7 to 12 years, but little is known in younger children and in other cultural contexts. The aim of this study was to examine the validity and reliability in an expanded age range. Methods A total of 1,870 Chinese children (girls, n = 871; 46.6%), aged 4 to 12 years (M = 8.07 ± 2.42) participated in validity testing. Structural equation modeling with the Weighted Least Squares with Mean and Variance approach was used to assess construct validity. The hypothesized theoretical model used the 30 items and four hypothesized factors: physical, psychological, social and cognitive capabilities. Multigroup confirmatory factor analysis was used to assess sex and age group (4–6 years, 7–9 years and 10–12 years) measurement invariance. Internal consistency analyses were conducted using polychoric alpha. A random subsample (n = 262) was selected to determine test–retest reliability using Intra-Class Correlations (ICC). Results All items except one (moving with equipment–skateboarding) loaded on sub-domains with λ > 0.45. The hypothesized model had a good fit (CFI = 0.954, TLI = 0.950, RMSEA = 0.042), with measurement equivalence across sex and age groups separately. Internal consistency values were good to excellent (overall: α = 0.94; physical: α = 0.86; psychological: α = 0.83; social: α = 0.81; cognitive: α = 0.86). Test–retest reliability was adequate to excellent (overall: ICC = 0.90, physical: ICC = 0.86, psychological: ICC = 0.75, social: ICC = 0.71, cognitive: ICC = 0.72). Conclusion The Chinese version of the PL-C Quest is valid and reliable for testing the self-reported PL of Chinese children aged 4 to 12. This study provides the first evidence of validity for this tool in children aged 4–6 years and also evidence that the PL-C Quest would be a meaningful instrument to assess PL in Chinese children. Liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs) have garnered attention for their remarkable reversible strains under various stimuli. Early studies on LCEs mainly focused on basic dimensional changes in macrostructures or quasi-three-dimensional (3D) microstructures. However, fabricating complex 3D microstructures and cross-scale LCE-based structures has remained challenging. In this study, we report a compatible method named melt electrowriting (MEW) to fabricate LCE-based microfiber actuators and various 3D actuators on the micrometer to centimeter scales. By controlling printing parameters, these actuators were fabricated with high resolutions (4.5 to 60 µm), actuation strains (10 to 55%), and a maximum work density of 160 J/kg. In addition, through the integration of a deep learning-based model, we demonstrated the application of LCE materials in temperature field sensing. Large-scale, real-time, LCE grid-based spatial temperature field sensors have been designed, exhibiting a low response time of less than 42 ms and a high precision of 94.79%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

An arrayable dual‐polarized antenna is proposed in this paper, which exhibits a low profile and broad bandwidth. A metasurface and a square ring are introduced to realize the broadband operation of the low‐profile dual‐polarized antenna. The total size of the broadband antenna is 0.39λL×0.39λL×0.105λL $0.39{\lambda }_{{\rm{L}}}\times 0.39{\lambda }_{{\rm{L}}}\times 0.105{\lambda }_{{\rm{L}}}$ (where λL ${\lambda }_{{\rm{L}}}$ is the wavelength at the lowest frequency of the operation band [1.31 GHz] in free space), suitable for use as an element of an antenna array. Four elements of the proposed antenna are arrayed to develop an array to demonstrate its application for the base station. Objective: Children born small for gestational age (SGA) are at a greater risk of developing insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease in adulthood. Gastrointestinal peptides, some secreted by intestinal L cells, regulate glucose and lipid metabolism and act on the hypothalamus to regulate energy homeostasis. The aim of this study was to explore whether gastrointestinal peptides are involved in metabolic disorders in SGA, which remains unclear. Methods: The secretion of glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and peptide YY (PYY) were investigated in prepubertal children born SGA, the differences between catch-up growth and persistent short stature were compared, and correlation with glucose and lipid metabolism was analyzed. GLP-1, PYY, insulin-like growth factor 1, glucose, insulin, and lipid concentrations were analyzed in prepubertal children aged 4-10 years, stratified into three groups: short-SGA (SGA-s), catch-up growth SGA, and normal growth appropriate for gestational age (AGA). Results: Fasting GLP-1 and PYY concentrations were significantly lower in the SGA group than in the AGA group (p<0.05), and the GLP-1 level in infants born SGA with catch-up growth was lower than that in the SGA-s group (p<0.05). In the SGA population, GLP-1 showed a weak negative correlation with catch-up growth (r=-0.326) and positive correlation with fasting insulin (r=0.331). Conclusion: Lower GLP-1 concentrations may be associated with abnormal glucose metabolism in prepubertal children born SGA with catch-up growth. Casing wear and casing corrosion are serious problems affecting casing integrity failure in deep and ultra-deep wells. This paper aims to predict the casing burst strength with considerations of both wear and corrosion. Firstly, the crescent wear shape is simplified into three categories according to common mathematical models. Then, based on the mechano-electrochemical (M-E) interaction, the prediction model of corrosion depth is built with worn depth as the initial condition, and the prediction models of burst strength of the worn casing and corroded casing are obtained. Secondly, the accuracy of different prediction models is validated by numerical simulation, and the main influence factors on casing strength are obtained. At last, the theoretical models are applied to an ultra-deep well in Northwest China, and the dangerous well sections caused by wear and corrosion are predicted, and the corrosion rate threshold to ensure the safety of casing is obtained. The results show that the existence of wear defects results in a stress concentration and enhanced M-E interaction on corrosion depth growth. The accuracy of different mathematical models is different: the slot ring model is most accurate for predicting corrosion depth, and the eccentric model is most accurate for predicting the burst strength of corroded casing. The burst strength of the casing will be overestimated by more than one-third if the M-E interaction is neglected, so the coupling effect of wear and corrosion should be sufficiently considered in casing integrity evaluation. With the rapid development of cloud computing, load balancing technology in cloud services has become a critical component in ensuring service quality and system stability. Traditional load balancing methods, often relying on static parameters and preset rules, face challenges in flexibly responding to the dynamic changes in cloud service demands. Recent studies have begun to explore the application of machine learning algorithms to optimize load balancing, aiming to enhance the system's adaptive adjustment capabilities. This study proposes an innovative approach, applying the solution of the heat conduction equation to the optimization of cloud service load balancing issues. It simulates and analyzes the dynamic changes in load distribution, proposing corresponding optimization strategies. The first part of this research focuses on designing a model that integrates genetic algorithms and neural networks to solve the inverse problem of the twodimensional nonlinear heat conduction equation, namely, the accurate prediction of thermal physical parameters. By simulating the heat conduction process, this model can reflect the dynamic distribution characteristics of server loads and guide the adjustment strategy of weights. Furthermore, an adaptive dynamic load balancing strategy algorithm is proposed. By optimizing the existing engine x (Nginx) weighted least connections algorithm, an efficient adaptive algorithm is designed and implemented. This algorithm adjusts server weights dynamically based on real-time load data, enabling cloud services to respond more flexibly and efficiently to different service requests. The findings of this research not only enhance the processing capability and resource utilization rate of cloud services but also provide more scientific and precise theoretical support for load balancing through the introduction of new algorithmic models. Introduction: Internal quality control (IQC) is a core pillar of laboratory quality control strategies. Internal quality control commercial materials lack the same characteristics as patient samples and IQC contributes to the costs of laboratory testing. Patient data-based quality control (PDB-QC) may be a valuable supplement to IQC; the smaller the biological variation, the stronger the ability to detect errors. Using the potassium concentration in serum as an example study compared error detection effectiveness between PDB-QC and IQC. Materials and methods: Serum potassium concentrations were measured by using an indirect ion-selective electrode method. For the training database, 23,772 patient-generated data and 366 IQC data from April 2022 to September 2022 were used; 15,351 patient-generated data and 246 IQC data from October 2022 to January 2023 were used as the testing database. For both PDB-QC and IQC, average values and standard deviations were calculated, and z-score charts were plotted for comparison purposes. Results: Five systematic and three random errors were detected using IQC. Nine systematic errors but no random errors were detected in PDB-QC. The PDB-QC showed systematic error warnings earlier than the IQC. Conclusions: The daily average value of patient-generated data was superior to IQC in terms of the efficiency and timeliness of detecting systematic errors but inferior to IQC in detecting random errors. We develop structure preserving schemes for a class of nonlinear mobility continuity equation. When the mobility is a concave function, this equation admits a form of gradient flow with respect to a Wasserstein-like transport metric. Our numerical schemes build upon such formulation and utilize modern large-scale optimization algorithms. There are two distinctive features of our approach compared to previous ones. On the one hand, the essential properties of the solution, including positivity, global bounds, mass conservation, and energy dissipation, are all guaranteed by construction. On the other hand, our approach enjoys sufficient flexibility when applied to a large variety of problems including different free energy functionals, general wetting boundary conditions, and degenerate mobilities. Background: This study explores the impact of social media on interpersonal relationships, focusing on the Chinese context. It investigates how social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter influence human interactions, societal behaviors, and psychological mechanisms, with particular emphasis on social comparison. Methods: Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study combined quantitative and qualitative analyses. Participants were active social media users of 18-50 years of age from China. Data collection involved surveys, the Fear of Missing Out Scale, and content analysis of social media interactions, followed by statistical analysis using SPSS. Results: A significant positive correlation (64.2 ± 3.1) was found between pro-environmental behavior and various forms of interpersonal communication, including both face-to-face interactions and those mediated by digital platforms. Gender differences were notable in social media engagement, especially among female users. Social media campaigns during the COVID-19 crisis showed considerable effectiveness in health communication (73.2 ± 5.4). Additionally, economic factors, particularly in low- and middle-income areas, significantly influenced the efficacy of social and behavioral change communication, underlining the importance of cost considerations in these strategies. Conclusion: The study reveals the complex interplay of social media and interpersonal communication in China, highlighting the role of gender dynamics and economic factors. It offers valuable insights for policymakers and communicators, emphasizing the need for tailored strategies considering these diverse factors in the digital age. Atmospheric drag stands out as the predominant non-gravitational force acting on satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), with altitudes below 2000 km. This drag exhibits a strong dependence on the thermospheric mass density (TMD), a parameter of vital significance in the realms of orbit determination, prediction, collision avoidance, and re-entry forecasting. A multitude of empirical TMD models have been developed, incorporating contemporary data sources, including TMD measurements obtained through onboard accelerometers on LEO satellites. This paper delves into three different TMD modelling techniques, specifically, Fourier series, spherical harmonics, and artificial neural networks (ANNs), during periods of geomagnetic quiescence. The TMD data utilised for modelling and evaluation are derived from three distinct LEO satellites: GOCE (at an altitude of approximately 250 km), CHAMP (around 400 km), and GRACE (around 500 km), spanning the years 2002 to 2013. The consistent utilisation of these TMD data sets allows for a clear performance assessment of the different modelling approaches. Subsequent research will shift its focus to TMD modelling during geomagnetic disturbances, while the present work can serve as a foundation for disentangling TMD variations stemming from geomagnetic activity. Furthermore, this study undertakes precise TMD modelling during geomagnetic quiescence using data obtained from the GRACE (at an altitude of approximately 500 km), CHAMP (around 400 km), and GOCE (roughly 250 km) satellites, covering the period from 2002 to 2013. It employs three distinct methods, namely Fourier analysis, spherical harmonics (SH) analysis, and the artificial neural network (ANN) technique, which are subsequently compared to identify the most suitable methodology for TMD modelling. Additionally, various combinations of time and coordinate representations are scrutinised within the context of TMD modelling. Our results show that the precision of low-order Fourier-based models can be enhanced by up to 10 % through the utilisation of geocentric solar magnetic coordinates. Both the Fourier- and SH-based models exhibit limitations in approximating the vertical gradient of TMD. Conversely, the ANN-based model possesses the capacity to capture vertical TMD variability without manifesting sensitivity to variations in time and coordinate inputs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Freshwater microplastic pollution is an urgent issue of global concern, and research on the distribution in reservoirs is lacking. We investigated the microplastic pollution levels in wet sediments collected from the Three Gorges Reservoir, the largest reservoir of China. Results show that microplastics were ubiquitous in the sediments of the Three Gorges Reservoir, and their abundance ranged from 59 to 276 pp/kg (plastic particles per kg, dry weight). Economic development and total population were important factors affecting the spatial heterogeneity of microplastic abundance, and the contribution of large cities along the reservoir to microplastic pollution should be paid with more attention. Fibrous microplastics were the most abundant type of microplastic particles in reservoir sediments, whereas polystyrene, polypropylene, and polyamide were the main types of polymers. The apparent spatial heterogeneity in morphology and color of microplastics is attributed to different anthropogenic or land-based pollution sources. Moreover, the accumulation of microplastics near the inlet of tributaries reflects the role of potential contributors of tributaries. More importantly, multiple bisphenols (BPs) and heavy metals detected at the microplastic surfaces indicate that microplastics can act as carriers of these pollutants in the environment in the same way as sediments did, which may alter the environmental fate and toxicity of these pollutants. Urban perceptions are related to residents’ subjective well-being, activities, settlement choice, and physical and mental health, which are vital for promoting sustainable community development. Landsenses ecology proposes the concepts of physical and psychological perceptions to measure the interaction between humans and the urban environment. However, such perceptions and their quantitative relationships with housing rental prices (HRPs) are still not clear. In this study, a novel urban-perception-oriented hedonic price model (UP-HPM) is proposed based on the construction of a multisource geographic database of Beijing’s rental market with rich information on people-oriented perception metrics, neighborhood environment characteristics, and HRPs. Furthermore, we use advanced machine learning (ML) pipelines to measure residents’ multidimensional urban perceptions and investigate their impact on block-level HRPs and their spatial disparities. We also quantify and compare the contribution of different physical and psychological perceptual attributes to HRPs through UP-HPM. The results show that neighborhood perceived greenery and the use of fences tend to bring about positive psychological perceptions and further affect HRPs. By comparing different combinations of hedonic and perceptual features, the UP-HPM performs well in terms of fitting capacity, spatial description, and interpretability and can inspire humanistic thinking and landsenses planning guidelines for the regulation of the allocation of public rental housing and improvement in block-level physical settings and infrastructure services, thereby providing insights into how best to promote residents’ quality of life and well-being. In order to study the torsional performance of steel tube concrete after reinforcement with a carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP), the mechanical properties of 18 specimens were studied from both experimental and finite element perspectives. The T-θ curve and τ-γ curve of the specimen were measured in the experiment, and the failure mode of the specimen was analyzed. Subsequently, a reasonable finite element model was established using ABAQUS software, and the variation in various parameters surrounding the performance of the specimen was analyzed. Based on the experimental and finite element results, a formula for calculating the bearing capacity of the specimen was established. According to both the experimental and numerical results, the torsional bearing capacity of C-CF-CFRP-ST, defined as the torque endured by the specimen with maximum shear strain, was determined to be 15,000 με, together with its corresponding calculation formula. After the test, it was demonstrated that the main components of the concrete-filled CFRP-steel tube composite material—the steel tube and the concrete—could be used as reusable resources. Introduction. This study utilized serum proteomics with tandem mass tags (TMT) to investigate potential biomarkers associated with femoral central venous catheter (CVC) thrombosis in endstage kidney disease (ESKD) patients. TMT proteomics analysis on serum samples was conducted to identify proteins with distinct expression levels that may be linked to thrombosis. The findings have important implications for enhancing anticoagulant procedures, catheter closure techniques, and determining optimal intervention timing for post-catheterization dialysis. Methods. Thirty ESKD patients with CVC receiving hemodialysis between May 2021 and October 2022 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College were included in the study, and grouped according to vascular color Doppler ultrasound results, including 23 patients in the thrombo-positive group and 7 patients in the thrombo-negative group. Selection criteria were: 1) Patients with ESKD candidate for hemodialysis initiation; 2) no dialysis access has been placed previously, and CVC needs to be inserted as a temporary access; 3) patients volunteered to participate in this clinical study. Clinical data, blood tests, coagulation function, and biochemical parameters were collected and analyzed on the 14th day after catheterization. Color ultrasonography was conducted on the same day to categorize patients into two groups: those with thrombus-positive results and those with thrombus-negative results. Results. TMT proteomics analysis identified twenty-eight differently expressed proteins, including 16 upregulated and 12 downregulated proteins. Enrichment analysis demonstrated nine proteins that were significantly enriched in four pathways within the thrombus-positive group after CVC insertion. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) test confirmed the TMT proteomics findings, specifically highlighting significant differences in human plasma kallikrein B1 (KLKB1) and angiopoietin-like protein 3 (ANGPTL3) levels on the 14th day after CVC insertion. Additionally, KLKB1, fibrinogen (FIB), D-dimer, and fibrinogen degradation products (FDP) levels were significantly elevated, while ANGPTL3 levels were decreased on the 14th day after CVC insertion in the thrombus-positive ESKD patient group. Can Monte Carlo (MC) solvers be directly used in gradient-based methods for PDEconstrained optimization problems? In these problems, a gradient of the loss function is typically presented as a product of two PDE solutions, one for the forward equation and the other for the adjoint. When MC solvers are used, the numerical solutions are Dirac measures. As such, one immediately faces the difficulty in explaining the multiplication of two measures. This suggests that MC solvers are naturally incompatible with gradient-based optimization under PDE constraints. In this paper, we study two different strategies to overcome the difficulty. One is to adopt the discretizethen-optimize technique and conduct the full optimization on the algebraic system, avoiding the Dirac measures. The second strategy stays within the optimize-then-discretize framework. We propose a correlated simulation where, instead of using MC solvers separately for both forward and adjoint problems, we recycle the samples in the forward simulation in the adjoint solver. This frames the adjoint solution as a test function and hence allows a rigorous convergence analysis. The investigation is presented through the lens of the radiative transfer equation, either in the inverse setting from optical imaging or in the optimal control framework. Graph clustering is a fundamental and challenging task in unsupervised learning. It has achieved great progress due to contrastive learning. However, we find that there are two problems that need to be addressed: (1) The augmentations in most graph contrastive clustering methods are manual, which can result in semantic drift. (2) Contrastive learning is usually implemented on the feature level, ignoring the structure level, which can lead to sub-optimal performance. In this work, we propose a method termed Graph Clustering with High-Order Contrastive Learning (GCHCL) to solve these problems. First, we construct two views by Laplacian smoothing raw features with different normalizations and design a structure alignment loss to force these two views to be mapped into the same space. Second, we build a contrastive similarity matrix with two structure-based similarity matrices and force it to align with an identity matrix. In this way, our designed contrastive learning encompasses a larger neighborhood, enabling our model to learn clustering-friendly embeddings without the need for an extra clustering module. In addition, our model can be trained on a large dataset. Extensive experiments on five datasets validate the effectiveness of our model. For example, compared to the second-best baselines on four small and medium datasets, our model achieved an average improvement of 3% in accuracy. Sorghum is an important crop, and starch and phenolic compounds are major and important components in the sorghum grain. However, the underlying critical genetic elements contributing to the rich portfolio of nutrients in sorghum grains are largely unknown. Transcriptomic methods were employed to characterize the expression patterns at five different grain developmental stages of Hongyingzi (an important brewing sorghum), and another two grain sorghums, Jinuoliang 1 and Hongliangfeng 1, for comparison. The uniquely expressed genes were identified at each developmental stage of Hongyingzi when compared with the other two sorghum cultivars. The co-regulated genes at different developmental stages and the regulatory network were determined; the determinant genes and single-nucleotide polymorphisms located at the promoters of these genes involved in starch and phenolic compounds biosynthetic pathways were also identified. These results will provide insights into the potential regulatory network and further contribute to the clarification of the key determinant genes involved in the biosyntheses of starch and phenolic compounds. Meanwhile, some new transcripts and genes were identified at five different developmental stages of grains of the three sorghum cultivars. Our work can provide impetus for further study of the genes responsible for the biosynthesis of starch and phenolic compounds in the sorghum grain, and pave a way for functional validation of a batch of potential genes and single-nucleotide polymorphisms proposed in current work. To study the crack propagation mechanism of jointed rock mass under pre-split blasting, LS-DYNA software was used to carry out numerical simulation of rock mass blasting with vertical single joint, horizontal single joint and vertical parallel joint. The influence of in-situ stress was discussed. The results show that when there is a vertical single joint in the center of the blastholes, the cracks between holes can be penetrated. The joints have a tendency to close, and the joint is conducive to improving the degree of rock fragmentation between holes. When there is a vertical parallel joint in the center of the blastholes, the wing crack at the joint tip can be penetrated, but good fragmentation effect of rock cannot be achieved between parallel joints. When the horizontal joint is close to the blast hole, more tensile cracks will occur when the stress wave transmits to the back burst side of the joint surface. When the horizontal joint is far from the blasthole, the blocking effect of the joint is obvious. Under the action of hydrostatic in-situ stress, the initiation and propagation of radial tensile cracks and tip wing cracks are restrained. Under the action of non-hydrostatic in-situ stress, the crack growth is more restrained in the direction of the minimum principal stress, and the restraining effect increases with the increase of the maximum principal stress. Purpose: The global fight against the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic has led to widespread vaccination efforts, yet the optimal dosing schedule for SARS-CoV-2 vaccines remains a subject of ongoing research. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of administering two booster doses as the third and fourth doses at different intervals to enhance vaccine protection. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted at a military regional hospital operated by the Ministry of National Defense in Taiwan. A cohort of vaccinated individuals was selected, and their vaccine potency was assessed at various time intervals following their initial vaccine administration. The study participants received booster doses as the third and fourth doses, with differing time intervals between them. The study monitored neutralizing antibody titers and other relevant parameters to assess vaccine efficacy. Results: Our findings revealed that the potency of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine exhibited a significant decline 80 days after the initial vaccine administration. However, a longer interval of 175 days between booster injections resulted in significantly higher neutralizing antibody titers. The individuals who received the extended interval boosters exhibited a more robust immune response, suggesting that a vaccine schedule with a 175-day interval between injections may provide superior protection against SARS-CoV-2. Conclusion: This study underscores the importance of optimizing vaccine booster dosing schedules to maximize protection against SARS-CoV-2. The results indicate that a longer interval of 175 days between the third and fourth doses of the vaccine can significantly enhance the neutralizing antibody response, potentially offering improved protection against the virus. These findings have important implications for vaccine distribution and administration strategies in the ongoing battle against the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Introduction and aims: Intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) is the most commonly used radiotherapy technology in oncology, which enables precise conformation of the radiation dose to the target volume and reduces the risk of radiation damage to the adjacent normal structures. Nevertheless, it is still inevitable for IMRT of head and neck cancer to cause radiation-related toxic and side effects, such as dry mouth, mucositis, oral dysarthria, taste disorder, osteonecrosis, and trismus. Trismus is one of the most common late side effects caused by radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), which seriously affects the quality of life for patients with NPC. However, the current clinical assessment and management of trismus after radiotherapy for NPC are still imperfect. This best practice implementation project aimed to implement an evidence-based practice in assessing and managing trismus for NPC patients who underwent radiotherapy, thereby improving the compliance of clinical practice with the best evidence and the quality of life of patients with NPC. Methods: This evidence-based audit and feedback project was implemented using a three-phase approach at a third-class hospital in China, following JBI's Practical Application of Clinical Evidence System (PACES) and GRiP evidence application. The first phase included a baseline audit with six evidence-based audit criteria derived from the best available evidence. The second phase included analyzing the results of the baseline audit, identifying barriers to compliance with best practice principles, and developing and implementing strategies to address the barriers identified in the baseline audit. The third phase involved a follow-up audit to assess the results of the interventions implemented to improve practice. Results: After evidence application, the compliance rate for audit criterion 1 increased from 0% at baseline audit to 70% at follow-up audit. The compliance rate for audit criterion 2 increased from 0% to 100%. The compliance rate for audit criterion 3 increased from 22 to 62%. The compliance rate for audit criterion 4 increased from 88 to 100%. The compliance rate for audit criterion 5 was 100% at baseline audit and follow-up audit. The compliance rate for audit criterion 6 increased from 0 to 55%. Conclusion: Implementation of the best evidence for the assessment and management of trismus of patients with NPC after radiotherapy is conducive to improving the compliance of clinical practice with the best evidence, standardizing clinical nursing practice, improving the quality of clinical nursing, and better preventing severe trismus in patients with NPC after radiotherapy. World-wide, rice (Oryza sativa L.) is an important food source, and its production is often adversely affected by salinity. Therefore, to ensure stable rice yields for global food security, it is necessary to understand the salt tolerance mechanism of rice. The present study focused on the expression pattern of the rice mismatch repair gene post-meiotic segregation 1 (OsPMS1), studied the physiological properties and performed transcriptome analysis of ospms1 mutant seedlings in response to salt stress. Under normal conditions, the wild-type and ospms1 mutant seedlings showed no significant differences in growth and physiological indexes. However, after exposure to salt stress, compared with wild-type seedlings, the ospms1 mutant seedlings exhibited increased relative water content, relative chlorophyll content, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, K+ and abscisic acid (ABA) content, and decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) content, Na+ content, and Na+/K+ ratio, as well as decreased superoxide anion (O2−) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) accumulation. Gene ontology (GO) analysis of the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of ospms1 mutant seedlings treated with 0 mM and 150 mM NaCl showed significant enrichment in biological and cytological processes, such as peroxidase activity and ribosomes. The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) metabolic pathway analysis showed that the DEGs specifically enriched ascorbate and aldarate metabolism, flavone and flavonol biosynthesis, and glutathione metabolism pathways. Further quantitative real-time reverse transcription-PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis revealed significant changes in the transcription levels of genes related to abscisic acid signaling (OsbZIP23, OsSAPK6, OsNCED4, OsbZIP66), reactive oxygen scavenging (OsTZF1, OsDHAR1, SIT1), ion transport (OsHAK5), and osmoregulation (OsLEA3-2). Thus, the study's findings suggest that the ospms1 mutant tolerates salt stress at the seedling stage by inhibiting the accumulation of reactive oxygen species, maintaining Na+ and K+ homeostasis, and promoting ABA biosynthesis. Neuronal synchronization at gamma frequency (30-100 Hz: γ) is impaired in early-stage Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients and AD models. Oligomeric Aβ1-42 caused a concentration-dependent reduction of γ-oscillation strength and regularity while increasing its frequency. The mTOR1 inhibitor rapamycin prevented the Aβ1-42-induced suppression of γ-oscillations, whereas the mTOR activator leucine mimicked the Aβ1-42-induced suppression. Activation of the downstream kinase S6K1, but not inhibition of eIF4E, was required for the Aβ1-42-induced suppression. The involvement of the mTOR/S6K1 signaling in the Aβ1-42-induced suppression was confirmed in Aβ-overexpressing APP/PS1 mice, where inhibiting mTOR or S6K1 restored degraded γ-oscillations. To assess the network changes that may underlie the mTOR/S6K1 mediated γ-oscillation impairment in AD, we tested the effect of Aβ1-42 on IPSCs and EPSCs recorded in pyramidal neurons. Aβ1-42 reduced EPSC amplitude and frequency and IPSC frequency, which could be prevented by inhibiting mTOR or S6K1. These experiments indicate that in early AD, oligomer Aβ1-42 impairs γ-oscillations by reducing inhibitory interneuron activity by activating the mTOR/S6K1 signaling pathway, which may contribute to early cognitive decline and provides new therapeutic targets. The ephemeris fault needs to be detected and mitigated in the ground-based augmentation system to provide precision approach for the aircraft. In the current fault detection and exclusion (FDE) method, the double-differenced carrier phase (DDCP) observation is used as a test statistic to detect a faulty satellite caused by an ephemeris fault, taking advantage of the residual spatial gradient. However, the current FDE method cannot distinguish whether the fault comes from a reference satellite (RS) or a non-reference satellite (NRS) in DDCP. One way to address this issue is to pre-validate the RS before it can be used to form a DDCP test statistic for detecting ephemeris fault on the NRS. The RS is pre-validated using the previous ephemeris for any newly acquired and re-acquired satellite. This method is developed in detail to present the shortcomings. A more efficient FDE method using multiple hypothesis testing to detect ephemeris fault on both the RS and NRS simultaneously in real time is proposed. Moreover, to facilitate the application in integrity monitoring, the test risks and minimum detectable error are analyzed. The numerical results of the proposed FDE method show an improved performance in detecting ephemeris fault on the RS and a comparable performance on the NRS compared with the current FDE method. Commercial insurance is an important risk management tool whose demand is affected by psychological factors. Music can promote consumption by evoking non-random emotional and behavioral responses in consumers. Using data from the China Comprehensive Social Survey, we examined the impact of music on commercial insurance purchase behavior using a probit model, an instrumental variable, propensity score matching, and other methods. The results indicate that music can significantly increase the probability of residents purchasing commercial medical insurance and endowment insurance by 2.569% and 1.869%, respectively. Regarding the mechanism, music encourages residents to purchase insurance by increasing their general cognition, risk cognition, insurance cognition, and ability to manage risk. Furthermore, an analysis of heterogeneity shows that music plays a greater role in promoting the aforementioned behavior of residents with lower levels of education, lower frequencies of social interaction, internet usage, an agricultural household registration, and of residents with jobs. In the present study, the inclusion complex of neoandrographolide and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) was studied by experimental and theoretical methods. The inclusion complex of neoandrographolide/β-CD was prepared by the saturated solution method. The equilibrium constant of the inclusion complex was determined by UV -vis spectra. The structure of the complex was characterized by DTA, FT-IR, and molecular modeling techniques. All these results indicated that neoandrographolide could enter the cavity of β-CD to form an inclusion complex, and the neoandrographolide/β-CD inclusion complex exhibited different spectroscopic features and properties from neoandrographolide. The molar rate of the inclusion complex was 1:1. The five-membered lactone ring of the neoandrographolide molecule was inserted into the cavities of β-CD from the wider edge. The calculated equilibrium constant of the complex was 489.9918 mol/L. The in-vitro antiproliferative activity of neoandrographolide was significantly improved through the inclusion complexation process. Introduction: Adenomyosis prevalence among women with infertility is increasing; their management during in vitro fertilization is usually based on ultrasound diagnosis alone. Herein, we summarize the latest evidence on the impact of ultrasound-diagnosed adenomyosis on in vitro fertilization outcomes. Material and methods: The study was registered with The International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (CRD42022355584). We searched PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases from inception to January 31, 2023, for cohort studies on the impact of adenomyosis on in vitro fertilization outcomes. Fertility outcomes were compared according to the presence of adenomyosis as diagnosed by ultrasound, concurrent endometriosis and adenomyosis, and MRI-based or MRI-and ultrasound-based adenomyosis diagnosis. Live birth rate was the primary outcome while clinical pregnancy and miscarriage rates were secondary outcomes. Results: Women diagnosed with adenomyosis by ultrasound had lower live birth (odds ratio [OR] = 0.66; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.53-0.82, grade: very low), lower clinical pregnancy (OR = 0.64; 95% CI: 0.53-0.77, grade: very low), and higher miscarriage (OR = 1.81; 95% CI: 1.35-2.44, grade: very low) rates than those without adenomyosis. Notably, symptomatic and diffuse, but not asymptomatic adenomyosis as diagnosed by ultrasound, adversely affected in vitro fertilization outcomes, with lower live birth (OR = 0.57; 95% CI: 0.34-0.96, grade: very low), clinical pregnancy (OR = 0.69; 95% CI: 0.57-0.85, grade: low), and miscarriage (OR = 2.48, 95% CI: 1.28-4.82, grade: low) rates; and lower live birth (OR = 0.37; 95% CI: 0.23-0.59, grade: low) and clinical pregnancy (OR = 0.50; 95% CI: 0.34-0.75, grade: low), but not miscarriage rate (OR = 2.18; 95% CI: 0.72-6.62, grade: very low), respectively. Concurrent adenomyosis in endometriosis is associated with a significantly lower live birth rate (OR = 0.44; 95% CI: 0.26-0.75, grade: low) than endometriosis alone. Finally, the use of MRI-based or MRI-and ultrasound-based adenomyosis diagnosis showed no significant association with in vitro fertilization outcomes (grade: very low for all outcomes). Conclusions: Considering ultrasound findings, symptoms, and different subtypes of adenomyosis may aid in offering personalized counseling, improving treatment decisions, and achieving better outcomes of in vitro fertilization. The 25–27 August 2018 geomagnetic storm was the third largest storm in the 24th solar cycle. It was a surprising space event that originated from low-level solar activity. This study provides an overview of the temporal–spatial behaviors of plasma irregularities as functions of geographic longitude, latitude, and altitude using ground-based (GNSS receivers and ionosonde) instruments and space-borne Swarm satellites. The results not only reveal enhanced equatorial ionization anomaly (EIA) and hemispheric asymmetry over the Asian–Australian and American sectors at a particular time but also hemispheric asymmetric features of global ROT in the main and recovery phases. Additionally, this storm triggered positive plasma irregularities in altitudes of 100 to 150 km near the Auroral zone, and the changed ratio of bottom-side plasma irregularities exceeded 250%. This finding has been cross-validated by other instruments and models. Furthermore, the storm significantly affected the thermospheric O/N2 density ratio, equatorial electrojet, and vertical E×B drifts. The equatorial and mid-latitude plasma irregularities may be a combined action of thermospheric composition change, equatorial electrojet, and vertical E×B drifts. Finally, the storm induced positive Joule heating irregularities in the Auroral ionosphere in altitudes of 100 to 400 km with a maximum changed ratio of over 200%, as well as enhanced cross-Polar voltage to ~90 kv. Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) is an important growth factor that supports the culture and maintenance of spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) by suppressing spontaneous differentiation. Different LIF sequences may lead to differences in function. The protein sequences of buffalo LIF and mouse LIF differed by 65.5% according to MEGA software analysis. The PB‐LIF‐GFP‐Puro vector was constructed, and the CHO‐K1 cell line was established. The final LIF protein concentration in the CHO‐K1 cell culture medium was approximately 4.268 ng/mL. Here, we report that buffalo LIF effectively maintains the self‐renewal of buffalo spermatogonia during culture. Buffalo spermatogonia were cultured in conditioned medium containing no LIF (0 ng/mL), mouse LIF (1 ng/mL), mouse LIF (10 ng/mL), or buffalo LIF (1 ng/mL). Furthermore, the effects of mouse LIF and buffalo LIF culture on the maintenance of buffalo spermatogonia were determined by analyzing cell colony formation, quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction, cell immunofluorescence, and cell counting. The buffalo LIF (1 ng/mL) group showed similar maintenance of the proliferation of buffalo spermatogonia to that in the mouse LIF (10 ng/mL) group. These results demonstrated that the proliferation of buffalo spermatogonia can be maintained in vitro by adding a low dose of buffalo LIF. Objective • To evaluate the safety of the combination of pegylated liposomal doxorubicin and docetaxel in neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer (BC) with axillary lymph nodes metastasis. Methods • In this single-arm study, 91 patients with clinical stage IIA–IIIc BC received 6 cycles of pegylated liposomal doxorubicin plus docetaxel as neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). Trastuzumab was allowed in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-positive tumors. The effects of new anthracycline-polyethylene glycol liposomal doxorubicin on the patients’ hearts were studied. The changes in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) before and after treatment were evaluated by echocardiography, and the levels of cardiac-specific biomarker troponin I (cTnI) and N terminal B natriuretic peptide (NT-pro-BNP) were noted before and after treatment. Result • In our study, 88 patients completed 6 cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. LVEF was within normal range; average LVEF was 67% at baseline, 66% after NAC. The difference was not statistically significant. However, LVEF decreased by more than 10% in 44.4% of patients. There was no significant difference in troponin I or NT-pro-BNP levels before or after treatment. No cardiac events with clinical symptoms were reported. Conclusion • The combination of polyethylene glycol liposome adriamycin and docetaxel in neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with early BC with axillary lymph node metastasis has certain cardiac safety. And in the human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2) positive population, polyethylene glycol liposome adriamycin combined with docetaxel and trastuzumab also has certain cardiac safety. Background: Seafood is a good source of essential fatty acids which has a presumably beneficial effect on developing embryos and fetuses, although it is also a source of contaminants. In this context, pregnant women are faced with conflicting reports on the risk and benefits of seafood consumption. This study aims to assess whether the consumption of seafood during pregnancy was associated with fetal growth in an inland city in China. Methods: This study included 10,179 women who delivered a singleton live birth in Lanzhou, China. Seafood consumption was assessed using a Food Frequency Questionnaire. Maternal data including birth outcomes and maternal complications information is extracted from the medical records. Associations between seafood consumption and fetal growth indicators were analyzed using multiple linear regression and multiple logistic regression. Results: There was a positive association between total seafood consumption and birth weight (β = 0.027, 95%CI:0.030–0.111) but no association concerning birth length or head circumference. Seafood consumption was associated with decreased risk of low birth weight (OR = 0.575, 95% CI: 0.480, 0.689). The frequency of seafood consumption during pregnancy showed a trend toward a positive association with low birth weight. Significantly reduced rates of low birth weight were found in women who consumed more than 75 g of seafood/week during pregnancy as compared to women with no or very low intakes (P for trend 0.021). A significant interaction was observed between pre-pregnancy BMI and seafood consumption on birth weight among underweight women, but not among overweight women. Gestational weight gain partially mediated the association between seafood consumption and birth weight. Conclusions: Maternal seafood consumption was associated with decreased risk of low birth weight and increased birth weight. This association was mainly driven by freshwater fish and shellfish. These results further corroborate the present dietary recommendation to the Chinese Nutrition Society for pregnant women, especially those with underweight pre-pregnancy BMI and inadequate GWG. In addition, our findings provide implications for future interventions to improve seafood consumption among pregnant women to prevent low birth weight babies in the inland city in China. Context • Neoadjuvant therapy is the primary treatment for stage II to III breast cancer (BC). The heterogeneity of BC challenges the identification of effective neoadjuvant regimens and of the related sensitive populations. Objective • The study intended to explore the predictive role of inflammatory cytokines, immune-cell subsets, and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) for the accomplishment of the pathological complete response (pCR) after a neoadjuvant regimen. Design • The research team conducted a phase II, singlearmed, open-label trial. Setting • The study took place at the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China. Participants • Participants were 42 patients at the hospital receiving treatment for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer (BC) between November 2018 and October 2021. Intervention • Participants received neoadjuvant therapy of six cycles of docetaxel, carboplatin, and trastuzumab (TCbH). Outcome Measures • The research team: (1) measured 13 cytokines and immune-cell populations in peripheral blood prior to neoadjuvant therapy administration; (2) measured TILs in tumor tissues; (3) analyzed correlations among biomarkers and pCR. Results • Of the 42 participants, 18 achieved pCR (42.9%) after the neoadjuvant therapy, with 37 having an overall response rate (ORR) of 88.1%. All participants experienced at least one short-term adverse event. The most common toxicity was leukopenia, with 33 participants (78.6%), while no cardiovascular dysfunction occurred. Compared with the non-pCR group, the pCR group had higher serum levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-ɑ), with P = .013; interleukin 6 (IL-6), with P = .025; and IL-18, with P = .0004. Univariate analysis showed that IL-6 (OR, 3.429; 95% CI,1.838-6.396; P = .0001) had a significant correlation with pCR. Participants in the pCR group had a higher level of natural killer T (NK-T) cells (P = .009) and a lower ratio of cluster of differentiation 4 (CD4):CD8 (P = .0014) before neoadjuvant therapy. Univariate analysis linked a high population of NK-T cells (OR, 0.204; 95% CI,0.052- 0.808; P = .018), a low CD4:CD8 ratio (OR, 10.500; 95% CI, 2.475-44.545; P = .001), and TILs expression (OR, 0.192; 95% CI, 0.051-0.731; P = .013) to pCR. Conclusions • Immunological factors, including IL-6, NK-T cells, CD4+ T versus CD8+ T ratio, and TILs expression were significant predictors for response to TCbH neoadjuvant therapy with carboplatin. Commercial insurance is an important risk management tool whose demand is affected by psychological factors. Music can promote consumption by evoking non-random emotional and behavioral responses in consumers . Using data from the China Comprehensive Social Survey, we examined the impact of music on commercial insurance purchase behavior using a probit model, an instrumental variable, propensity score matching, and other methods. The results indicate that music can significantly increase the probability of residents purchasing commercial medical insurance and endowment insurance by 2.569% and 1.869%, respectively. Regarding the mechanism, music encourages residents to purchase insurance by increasing their general cognition, risk cognition, insurance cognition, and ability to manage risk. Furthermore, an analysis of heterogeneity shows that music plays a greater role in promoting the aforementioned behavior of residents with lower levels of education, lower frequencies of social interaction, internet usage, an agricultural household registration, and of residents with jobs. IQ67-domain (IQD) proteins function in plant defense and in organ development. The mechanisms by which they influence cotton fiber development are unknown. In the present study, GhIQD10 was expressed mainly in the transition period of cotton fiber development, and GhIQD10-overexpression lines showed shorter fibers. GhIQD10 interacted with GhCaM7 and the interaction was inhibited by Ca2+. In in vitro ovule culture, Ca2+ rescued the shorter-fiber phenotype of GhIQD10-overexpression lines, which were insensitive to the Ca2+ channel inhibitor verapamil and the Ca2+ pool release channel blocker 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate. We conclude that GhIQD10 affects cotton fiber elongation via Ca2+ signaling by interacting with GhCaM7. Brassinosteroid (BR) biosynthesis and signaling genes were up-regulated in GhIQD10-overexpression lines. Fiber development in these lines was not affected by epibrassinolide or the BR biosynthesis inhibitor brassinozole, indicating that the influence of GhIQD10 on fiber elongation was not associated with BR. Ionospheric delay has a severe effect on reducing the accuracy of positioning and navigation of single-frequency receivers. Therefore, it is necessary to construct a precise regional ionospheric model for real-time Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) applications. The total electron contents (TECs) of 839 GNSS stations affiliated with the GPS Earth Observation Network were used to build a Japanese ionospheric model (JIM) based on a multi-layer perceptron neural network. During quiet space conditions, the correlation coefficient between the targets and the predictions of the JIM was about 0.98, and the root-mean square error (RMSE) of TEC residuals was ~1.5TECU, while under severe space events, the correlation coefficient increased to 0.99, and the corresponding RMSE dropped to 0.96 TECU. Moreover, the JIM model successfully reconstructed the two-dimensional (time vs latitude) TEC maps, and the TEC maps had evident hourly and seasonal variations. Most of TEC residuals accumulated between universal time 01–06 with an averaged magnitude of 1-2TECU. Furthermore, the JIM model had a perfect prediction performance under various kinds of complex space environments. In the quiet days, the prediction accuracy of the JIM was nearly equal to the global ionosphere map (GIM), and in some moments, the JIM was more competitive than the GIM. In the disturbed days, the RMSEs of TEC residuals were proportional to the solar wind speed and were inversely proportional to the geomagnetic Dst value. It was of great significance to clarify the laws and characteristics of nitrogen loss in tea plantation intercropping for scientifically evaluating the emission reduction effect of agricultural non-point source pollution in the ecological tea plantations. By taking the ecological tea plantation in Huanxi Town, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province as the research object, the long-term location experiment was carried out by using the runoff plot method. The volume of runoff from tea plantations under the conditions of monocropping along the downward slope (T1), intercropping along the downward slope (T2), monocropping in the terrace (T3) and intercropping in the terrace (T4) in 16 rainfall events from 2016 to 2018 was observed, in order to analyze the variation of nitrogen concentration and its loss amout in runoff. The intercropping plant was Paspalum notatum. The results showed that: according to the runoff volume in the downward slope (T1, T2) and terrace (T3, T4), the volume of runoff from tea plantations in intercropping was lower than that in monocropping. Along the downward slope, the TN concentration, AN concentration, NN concentration, TN loss amount, AN loss amount and NN loss amount in intercropping decreased by 32.0%, 44.4%, 23.8%, 38.5%, 49.8% and 30.8% compared with that in monocropping. In the terrace, the TN concentration, AN concentration, NN concentration, TN loss amount, AN loss amount and NN loss amount in intercropping decreased by 26.4%, 37.9%, 21.9%, 49.5%, 51.7% and 53.3% compared with that in monocropping. Coordinated directional switches can emerge between members of moving biological groups. Previous studies have shown that the self-propelled particles model can well reproduce directional switching behaviors, but it neglects the impact of social interactions. Thus, we focus on the influence of social interactions on the ordered directional switching motion of swarming systems, in which homogeneous Erdös–Rényi networks, heterogeneous scale-free networks, networks with community structures, and real-world animal social networks have been considered. The theoretical estimation of mean switching time is obtained, and the results show that the interplay between social and delayed interactions plays an important role in regulating directional switching behavior. To be specific, for homogeneous Erdös–Rényi networks, the increase in mean degree may suppress the directional switching behaviors if the delay is sufficiently small. However, when the delay is large, the large mean degree may promote the directional switching behavior. For heterogeneous scale-free networks, the increase of degree heterogeneity can reduce the mean switching time if the delay is sufficiently small, while the increasing degree heterogeneity may suppress the ordered directional switches if the delay is large. For networks with community structures, higher communities can promote directional switches for small delays, while for large delays, it may inhibit directional switching behavior. For dolphin social networks, delay can promote the directional switching behavior. Our results bring to light the role of social and delayed interactions in the ordered directional switching motion. Circadian rhythmicity is maintained by a set of core clock proteins including the transcriptional activators CLOCK and BMAL1, and the repressors PER (PER1, PER2, and PER3), CRY (CRY1 and CRY2), and CK1δ. In mice, peak expression of the repressors in the early morning reduces CLOCK- and BMAL1-mediated transcription/translation of the repressors themselves. By late afternoon the repressors are largely depleted by degradation, and thereby their expression is reactivated in a cycle repeated every 24 h. Studies have characterized a variety of possible protein interactions and complexes associated with the function of this transcription-translation feedback loop. Our prior investigation suggested there were two circadian complexes responsible for rhythmicity, one containing CLOCK-BMAL and the other containing PER2, CRY1, and CK1δ. In this investigation, we acquired data from glycerol gradient centrifugation and gel filtration chromatography of mouse liver extracts obtained at different circadian times to further characterize circadian complexes. In addition, anti-PER2 and anti-CRY1 immunoprecipitates obtained from the same extracts were analyzed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry to identify components of circadian complexes. Our results confirm the presence of discrete CLOCK-BMAL1 and PER-CRY-CK1δ complexes at the different circadian time points, provide masses of 255 and 707 kDa, respectively, for these complexes, and indicate that these complexes are composed principally of the core circadian proteins.
