4. A Digital Image Denoising Algorithm Based on Gaussian Filtering and Bilateral Filtering

Abstract

Bilateral filtering has been applied in the area of digital image processing widely, but in the high gradient region of the image, bilateral filtering may generate staircase effect. Bilateral filtering can be regarded as one particular form of local mode filtering, according to above analysis, an mixed image de-noising algorithm is proposed based on Gaussian filter and bilateral filtering. First of all, it uses Gaussian filter to filtrate the noise image and get the reference image, then to take both the reference image and noise image as the input for range kernel function of bilateral filter. The reference image can provide the image’s low frequency information, and noise image can provide image’s high frequency information. Through the competitive experiment on both the method in this paper and traditional bilateral filtering, the experimental result showed that the mixed de-noising algorithm can effectively overcome staircase effect, and the filtrated image was more smooth, its textural features was also more close to the original image, and it can achieve higher PSNR value, but the amount of calculation of above two algorithms are basically the same.

Abstract

To meet the increasing demand for energy storage, it is urgent to develop high-voltage lithium-ion batteries. The electrolyte’s electrochemical window is a crucial factor that directly impacts its electrochemical performance at high-voltage. Currently, the most common high-voltage cathode material is LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO). This paper aims to match LNMO cathode material to develop an electrolyte with stable electrochemical performance under high-voltage. Fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) and lithium difluoro(oxalato)borate (LiDFOB) are studied as co-solvent and additive components in LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) high-voltage electrolyte, respectively. This paper reports an increase in the electrochemical window from the original 4.3 to 5.5 V through the synergistic effect of two additives. The two additives also promote the formation of CEI layers on the cathode surfaces. This film acts as a protective barrier, safeguarding the electrode material’s structure from potential damage. After undergoing 100 cycles at a temperature of 25 °C, the rate of capacity retention can achieve a value of 75.1%; after 50 cycles at 40 °C, it can reach 78.2%. Abstract

Frequency weighting networks are a critical component of a sound level meter (SLM), and their error characteristics directly determine the performances of SLM. For reducing the high-frequency error of the A ∕ C frequency-weighting filters with the bilinear transformation method (BTM), a design method for A ∕ C frequency-weighting filters based on neural computing method (NCM) is proposed. A detailed algorithm for solving the filter coefficients is provided, and the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the A ∕ C frequency-weighting filters with BTM and NCM are compared in detail. The experimental results show that the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the A ∕ C frequency-weighting filters in SLM with NCM are significantly better than those of BTM. The filter meets the requirements of the first class SLM defined by IEC61672, which demonstrates the effectiveness of this proposed method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
