30. Image Super Resolution Using Expansion Move Algorithm

Abstract

In multi-frame image super resolution (SR), graph-cut is an effective algorithm to minimize the energy function for SR. As a kind of graph-cut algorithm, \(\alpha \)-expansion move algorithm can effectively minimize energy functions such as class \(\mathcal {F}^2\). However, the energy functions for SR established in Markov random field usually don’t fall into this class and need some approximations, which may lead to poor results. In this paper, we propose a new method, with which we make the energy function for SR a form of class \(\mathcal {F}^2\) without approximation. Experimental results show that our motivation is valid and the proposed method is effective for not only synthetic low-resolution images but also real images.

Abstract

Unlabelled: To culture silkworm Cordyceps cicadidae artificially., Method: Twenty Paecilomyces cicadae were collected and isolated from 8 natural reserves in China and the Cheju Island of Korea. By the impregnation method, their infection to silkworm larvaes and silkworm chrysalises and the synneneta production were studied., Result: The results showed that all P. cicadiae strains could infect silkworm larvaes and silkworm chrysalises, and some strains could produce synnenetas., Conclusion: The silkworm chrysalis was better than silkworm larvae to culture C. cicadidae.

Abstract

Objective: To isolate and identify the anamorph of Shiraia bambusicola., Method: Fungus strains were isolated from mature ascospores and stroma. They were identified by means of morphological identification including colony and microscope characteristic, the molecular identification was done by 5.8S-ITS rDNA., Result: The strains GZDXIFR-171 and GZDXIFR-181 were isolated and obtained with the separation of different methods, which had the same colony morphology. With the universal primers of the ITS1-5.8S rDNA-ITS2, the 5.8S-ITS rDNA sequence of GZDXIFR-171 and GZDXIFR-181 were obtained by the PCR amplification and sequencing. Compared with the published nucleotide sequence of 5.8S-ITS rDNA in NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information), GZDXIFR-171 and GZDXIFR-181 were highly identical with S. bambusicola., Conclusion: The isolated strains GZDXIFR-171 and GZDXIFR-181 were confirmed to be the true anamorph of S. bambusicola.

Abstract

Objective: To investigate immuno-modulating activity change after mycelial polysaccharide from Cordyceps gunnii (MPCG) was depolymerized by ultrasonication., Methods: The effects of MPCG and its depolymerizing mixture on mice spleen lymphocytes proliferation, mice peritoneal macrophage (PMphi) phagocytosis and cytotoxin T lymphocytes (CTL) activity were studied by MTT method, neutral red colorimetry, respectively., Results: In vitro, MPCG depolymerized by ultrasonication could more significantly inhibite spleen lymphocytes proliferation, PMphi phagocytosis of neutral red and CTL activity in mice than MPCG, in particular at doses of 10 microg/ml and 100 microg/ml. Whereas, four kinds of depolymerized mixture depolymerized for 1h to 2h and 4h to 8h by ultrasonication, respectively, had not evident differences at three various doses., Conclusion: MPCG was suitable for depolymerizing for 1h to 2h and its depolymerized mixture had stronger immuno-modulating activity than MPCG.

Abstract

Objective: To investigate bioactivities of Paecilomyces gunnii exopolysaccharide (PGEP)., Methods: The effects of PGEP on mice spleen lymphocytes proliferation, mice peritoneal macrophage (PMphi) phagocytosis and cytotoxin T lymphocytes (CTL) activity were studied by MTT method, neutral red colorimetry, respectively., Results: In vitro, mice spleen lymphocytes proliferation, mice peritoneal macrophage (PMphi) phagocytosis of neutral red and CTL activity were significant suppressed by PGEP, especially in 10 microg/ml., Conclusion: PGEP had the immunosuppressive activities.
