Abstract

To address the ambiguity surrounding methods and standards for reducing carbon emissions in industrial processes， it is essential to quantitatively assess the impact of carbon emissions and formulate a scientifically grounded carbon reduction plan. Traditional approaches to carbon reduction in industrial processes are confined to measures such as energy substitution and equipment modification within the factory. Therefore， a carbon handprint method for describing the positive climate impact of products throughout their lifecycle is proposed. Based on the carbon footprint， the paper establishes a more comprehensive evaluation system. With the stator coils for hydroelectric generators manufactured in the industrial processes of a particular company as the research subject， various carbon reduction schemes both inside and outside the boundaries are considered. Boundary delineation， carbon footprint calculation， and carbon handprint analysis are conducted， and efficiency increments， lifespan increments， and carbon handprints generated from different schemes are calculated. The results show that the replacement of insulation materials has the most significant effect， and the carbon handprint method proves to be an effective guide for carbon reduction transformation in the case company.

Abstract

The emergence of cancers involves numerous coding and non-coding genes. Understanding the contribution of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) to the cancer neighborhood is crucial for interpreting the interaction between molecular markers of cancer. However, there is a lack of systematic studies on the involvement of ncRNAs in the cancer neighborhood. In this paper, we construct an interaction network which encompasses multiple genes. We focus on the fundamental topological indicator, namely connectivity, and evaluate its performance when applied to cancer-affected genes using statistical indices. Our findings reveal that ncRNAs significantly enhance the connectivity of affected genes and mediate the inclusion of more genes in the cancer module. To further explore the role of ncRNAs in the network, we propose a connectivity-based method which leverages the bridging function of ncRNAs across cancer-affected genes and reveals the non-coding RNAs extended omnigenic module (NeOModule). Topologically, this module promotes the formation of cancer patterns involving ncRNAs. Abstract

In the paper, we consider the question whether a unital full amalgamated free product of quasidiagonal C*-algebras is quasidiagonal again. We give a sufficient condition such that a unital full amalgamated free product of quasidiagonal C*-algebras with amalgamation over a finite dimensional C*- algebra is quasidiagonal. Applying this result, we conclude that a unital full free product of two AF algebras with amalgamation over a finite-dimensional C*-algebra is AF if there are faithful tracial states on each of these two AF algebras such that the restrictions on the common subalgebra agree.

Abstract

Aim: This study aims to describe the citation patterns of Cochrane systematic reviews (CSR) in guidelines for managing breast cancer. Methods: We searched for systematic reviews on breast cancer in The Cochrane Library from the date of inception to November 15, 2023, and identified guidelines that cited them. We described how systematic reviews were cited by the guidelines in each database and each year. Additionally, we presented the relationships between the conclusions of the systematic reviews and guideline recommendations and compared the consistency of the recommendations on the same topic across different guidelines. Results: A total of 64 systematic reviews and 228 guidelines were included in this study. The average number of the 64 systematic reviews cited by the guidelines was 5.91. We found that the guideline recommendations were irrelevant or inconsistent with the conclusions of the systematic reviews in 56 (38.36%) cited entries. We grouped recommendations on the same topic across different guidelines into one group, of which only 5 groups (15.15%) had completely consistent recommendations, and the other 28 groups (84.85%) had inconsistent recommendations. Conclusion: The average number of citations for CSR on breast cancer in the guidelines was 5.91. There were also situations in which the guideline recommendations were inconsistent with the conclusions of the included systematic reviews, and recommendations on the same topic across different guidelines were inconsistent. Abstract

We compute spectra and Brown measures of some non self-adjoint operators in $(M_2(\cc), {1/2}Tr)*(M_2(\cc), {1/2}Tr)$, the reduced free product von Neumann algebra of $M_2(\cc)$ with $M_2(\cc)$. Examples include $AB$ and $A+B$, where A and B are matrices in $(M_2(\cc), {1/2}Tr)*1$ and $1*(M_2(\cc), {1/2}Tr)$, respectively. We prove that AB is an R-diagonal operator (in the sense of Nica and Speicher \cite{N-S1}) if and only if Tr(A)=Tr(B)=0. We show that if X=AB or X=A+B and A,B are not scalar matrices, then the Brown measure of X is not concentrated on a single point. By a theorem of Haagerup and Schultz \cite{H-S1}, we obtain that if X=AB or X=A+B and $X\neq \lambda 1$, then X has a nontrivial hyperinvariant subspace affiliated with $(M_2(\cc), {1/2}Tr)*(M_2(\cc), {1/2}Tr)$., Comment: final version. to appear on Math. A facile and efficient method to synthesize thioethers from sulfonyl chlorides and benzylic trimethylammonium salts is presented. This protocol provides a simple and direct approach to realize the reductive coupling reaction of readily available sulfonyl chlorides with benzyl ammonium salts in the presence of triphenylphosphine along with base via C−N cleavage of benzyl ammonium salts. Abstract

Background: Female pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) is one of the common chronic diseases affecting the physical and mental health of women, which has attracted great attention in the field of gynecology. Pelvic floor muscle training is a commonly used conservative therapy, but it emphasizes the compliance of patients and the treatment cycle is long. There is clear evidence of estradiol receptors (ER) in women's lower urinary tract and reproductive tract, and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has advantages in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence (UI) and pelvic organ prolapse (POP).There are few studies on the combined treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction in menopausal women, and its safety and effectiveness are also controversial. Methods: We designed a prospective randomized controlled trial. Postmenopausal women with pelvic floor disorders will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to pelvic floor muscle training combined with intravaginal estriol (observation group) or pelvic floor training (control group).Outcome indexes included pelvic organ prolapse degree, pelvic floor muscle strength score, urinary incontinence efficacy evaluation and adverse reactions. Finally, the research data will be statistically analyzed by SPSS.16. Conclusions: This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of pelvic floor muscle training combined with intravaginal estriol in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction in postmenopausal women, and provide a clinical basis for this combination regimen in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction in postmenopausal women.

48. A Minimum-Cost Consensus Model in Social Networks Derived From Uncertain Preferences

Abstract

The influence of mutual interaction behaviors on the opinions and consensus process has gradually emerged due to the information sharing in social networks. Currently, the cost of making individual decisions and the similarity between experts’ decision behaviors are relatively less addressed in the social network decision process. Therefore, in this study, a consensus approach with the trust relationships and adjustment cost is proposed to fill in such a gap. The method is divided into three stages: 1) trust propagation; 2) weight allocation; and 3) consensus reaching. In the trust propagation phase, uninorm is extended to the uncertain theory and employed in the transmission and integration problems of trust relationships. In the weight allocation stage, the comprehensive weight is assigned based on network structure and strength of relationship. In the consensus-reaching process, two levels of consensus are considered: 1) consensus among individuals and 2) consensus between individuals and the collective group, and chance-constrained programming models are constructed to obtain collective decision opinions. Moreover, a comparative analysis is performed to clarify the effectiveness and advancement of the proposed consensus method.

Abstract

A novel N-doped magnetic covalent organic framework (N-Mag-COF) has been synthesized. It has been evaluated in the magnetic dispersive solid phase extraction (Mag-dSPE) procedure for textiles of fall protection equipment prior to the analysis of allergenic disperse dyes by liquid chromatography-tandem quadrupole mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Compared with the matrix dilution procedure, much higher sensitivity of the analytical method has been achieved by the N-Mag-COF Mag-dSPE procedure. Furthermore, under the optimum conditions, the level of matrix effects can be dramatically reduced by the N-Mag-COF Mag-dSPE procedure with satisfactory recoveries in the range of 72.2–107%. The precision of the developed method was satisfactory, with relative standard deviations (RSDs) ranging from 2.3% to 7.1%. The limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantification (LOQs) of 19 allergenic disperse dyes were in the range of 0.021–0.58 μg kg−1 and 0.069–1.91 μg kg−1, respectively. The developed analytical method was successfully applied to the analysis of 20 textile samples of fall protection equipment, in which disperse yellow 39 was found in two samples with concentrations at 0.081 μg kg−1 and 0.062 μg kg−1, respectively. The developed method can be applied to routine analyses for the determination of 19 allergenic disperse dyes in textiles of fall protection equipment.

Abstract

Background: Female pelvic floor dysfunction is one of the common chronic diseases affecting women's physical and mental health. Pregnancy and delivery are one of the main causes. Pelvic floor rehabilitation is a common method for the treatment of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction, but it has some defects. Acupoint injection has advantages in the treatment of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction, but there is a lack of standard clinical research to verify it. Therefore, the purpose of this randomized controlled trial is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupoint injection combined with pelvic floor rehabilitation in the treatment of postpartum pelvic floor disorders. Methods: This is a prospective randomized controlled trial to study the efficacy and safety of acupoints injection combined with pelvic floor rehabilitation. And it is approved by the Ethics Committee of Clinical Research of our hospital. Patients were randomly divided into observation group (acupoint injection combined with pelvic floor rehabilitation group) or control group (pelvic floor rehabilitation group alone). The patients were followed up for 8 weeks after 12 weeks of treatment. The observation indexes included: pelvic organ prolapse degree, pelvic floor muscle strength, urinary incontinence score, adverse reactions, among others. Data were analyzed using the statistical software package SPSS version 18.0. Conclusions: This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupoint injection combined with pelvic floor rehabilitation in the treatment of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction, and provide reliable reference for the clinical application of this project.
