The façade of the Gothic cathedral of Tortosa was built in the 17th century according to the project by Martín Abaria, which was carried out between 1621-1625 and is preserved in the ACTo, and whose study has revealed the origins of its composition. The repositioning and redrawing of the trace allows the comparison with the façade executed through the data obtained from the Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) and whose 3:2 proportions are similar. The analysis of its scaling allows comparison with other Roman basilicas. The compositional basis of the lower body of the Abaria project is very similar to that of Santa Maria in Traspotina (1566-1587) in which Giovanni Vincenzo Casale was involved before becoming the engineer of the Escorial in 1589. Growing sprawls generally covered hilly topographical landscapes with concrete residential and township masses, the catastrophe and anomaly that applies to the correct distribution of land usage within communities with natural landforms for the developed regions. The public's dogmatic mannerism of not reacting sensibly to this relevant topic frequently inflames the ongoing proliferation of mushrooms and uncontainable sprawl inside urban settings. This not only causes the severe infringement of the right of way assigned to sewers and natural drains, but also encourages the citizens to be the landgrabbers of public property. This problem escalates massively to the point of blocking the drains with rainwater and makes it possible for water to reach public properties, homes, as well as main transit roads along with secondary and tertiary routes. Apart from the megacities of Pakistan smaller cities and towns are also significantly affected by these issues. Its magnitude is obvious considering swift, unchecked cycles of mushroom development by preordained urbanization. That, in effect, expresses the consequences by catastrophically rising motorization and problemstricken automobile transports through cities and small towns. This paper discusses urban sprawl and amalgamation of the city of Abbottabad and suggests that these can be controlled by redefining the transport planning strategies with new suggested approaches synergizing multidimensional attributes towards cityscape.The focus of this article is the possible solutions that could be proposed for the predominant problem of upsetting vehicle flow through Abbottabad. This study suggests that for cities having inherited organic character, like Abbottabad, a context-sensitive transport substructure system should be devised.The solutions were achieved through retrospective/prospective typology of research design.The literature review catered the understanding of urban design, Urban sprawl and urban growth, Urban Transportation system, building skyline and city elevation, Urban scape systems for organically significant cities and Inter-relationship of attributes within perspective of urban scape system, that was elaborated with the help of international case studies having relevant research scope and perimeters. The Monastery of El Escorial is rich in architectural artifices designed to modulate light and to use the striking effects of perspective for rhetorical purposes. In the two case studies, the main target was to attract attention on the Catholic rites linked to the Holy Eucharist. They become particularly interesting because of their pioneering nature and their architectural importance. From a chronological perspective, the first example is the little known liturgical transparente designed by Juan de Herrera and the sculptors of the main altarpiece between 1577 and 1586. The second one is the ensemble comprising the retrochoir and altarpiece of the Holy Form in the sacristy, built by José del Olmo between 1677-1684, that integrates Claudio Coello's masterpiece The Eucharistic Adoration. Our aim is to show that both architectural spaces are outstanding examples of the rhetorical ability of architecture, when it is wisely combined with sculpture and painting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the 1970s, during the design stage of his first houses, Peter Eisenman developed a parallel investigation into the potential of the model in three-dimensional architectural representation that culminated in the construction of an axonometric model. The new three-dimensional object, which unified the abstraction of axonometry and the materiality of the model, arising from its merely figurative condition, was turned into a representation that, as if a trompe l'oeil, imposed certain perspectives, from which, the perception of the design generated different interpretations. The construction of the axonometric model was more than an isolated mannerist experience, because it implied the confirmation of a representational strategy based on artifice and ambiguity, which can be generalized through photography. The article focuses on the developments in Mannerist art and architecture and the creation of Mannerism as a distinct category in the period between 1920 to 1950. It discusses the influence of Mannerism art in the development of Modernity and Modernism, as well as how the Mannerist art was connected to the baroque art. It also discusses how the psychological readings of Mannerist art helped understand the structure of the modern self and modern society.

The article discusses the juxtaposition of mannerism with baroque architecture in the book "Complexity and Contradiction in Architecture," by Robert Venturi. It states that the book focuses on eras such as Mannerist, Baroque and Rococo, and discusses the works of architects such as Baldassare Peruzzi, Buonarroti Michelangelo and Andrea Palladio. This article addresses the research on the theme of single-family houses of the well-known Italian rationalist architect Giuseppe Terragni (1904 –1943), author of Novocomum, Casa del Fascio, and Asilo Sant’Elia in Como, which are discussed in all of the major texts of modern architecture. The article is accompanied by computer reconstruction drawings of two houses. These drawings are important because one of these buildings –Casa sul lago per l’artista –has been demolished. The article focuses on the depiction of the thoughts and design for the Grande Galleria of Carlo Emanuele I of Savoy in France and Italy. Considered as one of the most prestigious and recognized painters, Federico Zuccari has been involved in the planning and execution of the Grande Galleria, one of the most characteristic projects of late Mannerism. Aside from the Grande Galleria, another project was Emanuele Filiberto's Teatro Universale and the common thread of the two projects was the presence of books, particularly manuscripts and printed volumes that made up the court library.

The current doctoral thesis aims at tracing the life and career path of the Nunes Tinoco, one of the most important Portuguese families of royal architects, back to the 17th century and early 18th century. Their activity spanned from the reign of the Filipes to the reign of king John V and had a tremendous impact on the Portuguese architecture, transmitting, generation after generation, a whole tradition of knowledge and skills, as, in the future, it would be the case of other families, such as the Frias and the Couto, only to mention the most influential. After having systematized this family members' biographical data and information about their professional activity, integrating it in the social context of that period, we intend to clarify some issues we consider important about the techniques and characteristics of architecture during this time, pointing out the relevance of the family structure concerning the facts we considered fundamental for this study: the passage from head mason to architect and the resulting new social status; training, performance, posts assignment, contribution to the binomial family/techniques Portuguese architecture speech. Finally, we purpose to establish the evolution of their professional status, linking it with the evolution of architecture itself and with the cultural and social changes occurred over this period.
