Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is a species sensitive to the influence of exogenous growth regulators, both in the treatment of vegetative plant tissues and in vitro culture. 1-naphthylacetic acid, indole-3-acetic acid, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, kinetin, 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP), gibberellic acid (GA3), ascorbic acid and nicotinic acid of exogenous origin in the studied concentrations and doses caused a change in the content of cannabinoids in plants of the variety USO 31. Ascorbic acid, auxins and GA3 significantly reduced the content of cannabinoids, whereas nicotinic acid and cytokinins increased it. Under the influence of nicotinic acid and BAP, a higher content of cannabinoid compounds was stably manifested during each of the three years of processing and it is inherited by at least one generation of descendants. An additional method to increase the level of non-psychotropic cannabinoids may be the treatment of vegetative plant tissues with cytokinin BAP (the concentration of 40 mg/l, the consumption rate of 30 ml/m2, the phase of growth and development BBCH 51), which, in contrast to high concentrations of nicotinic acid, significantly increased the content of cannabidiol, and, to a lesser extent, tetrahydrocannabinol. The selection traits of the hemp - stem total length, mass and fiber content, seed productivity and sex determination significantly increased under treatment. A wide range of possibilities for phytohormones of exogenous origin in regulating cannabinoid accumulation, morphogenesis of hemp plants and their productivity was confirmed. Different hemp genotypes may have different responses to plant growth regulators and concentrations, which should be established in each case.

The use of biological preparations to reduce the harmfulness of pathogenic fungi and insects on agricultural crops is a promising direction in the global dimension of scientific research. Maize is the main grain crop of Ukraine, and one of the main factors of grain yield reduction is damage by fungi Ustilago zeae Beckm. (bubble slag), Fusarium moniliforme Scheld. (fusarium) and corn moth (Ostrinia nubilalis Hübner). In connection with the destruction of the main massifs of irrigated land (more than 800 thousand ha) as a result of russian aggression, the main areas of maize are concentrated on non-irrigated lands, where damage by harmful organisms increases in an arid climate. Determining the effectiveness of the use of biological protection against the main harmful organisms on crops of maize hybrids of different FAO groups in the agro-ecological conditions of the Northern Steppe of Ukraine was the goal of our research. Based on the results of the research, it was established that the specific genotypic features of maize hybrids and the FAO group did not significantly affect the damage caused by the fungi Ustilago zeae Beckm., Fusarium moniliforme Scheldt. and insect damage by Ostrinia nubilalis Hübner. The use of biological means of protection showed the effectiveness of Biplan M and Biospectr BT (microbiological preparations with insecticidal and growth-stimulating action). The level of damage by harmful organisms, the technical efficiency of the drugs depended significantly on the active basis of the biological preparation. Maize grain yield mainly depended on the FAO group and genotypic characteristics. The 'Oleshkivsky' hybrid had the maximum yield increase when using Biospectr BT biological preparation-0.79 t/ha (10.2%). In the article the authors presented the results of associativeessayistic quasi-experiment, which revealed the modalities of perception, reflection and reception of students' reading of postmodern novels of the famous Ukrainian writer Andrukhovych "The Recreation" (2017), "The Perversion" (1996) and "Moscoviada" (2000). The relevance of the article is determined by the lack of methods for diagnosing professional and amateur reader's reflection in Ukraine and Western Europe. The relevance of the article lies not only in the popularity of Andruchovych's work in Europe (2022 received the Heine Prize) but also in the lack of methods and strategies for forming and monitoring reading competence in the reception of a postmodern work. From the point of view of readerly intertextual communication, Andrukhovych's novels (1996; 2000; 2017) are potentially open to many interpretive strategies. The main reason for this is their being on the verge of postmodernist and new realist paradigms, which implies distancing from the accumulation of citations and the practice of using intertext according to a certain extraliterary intention. Consequently, the purpose of the article is to identify the precedent texts, that form a system of reader's absentee communication when reading the novels of Andrukhovych (1996; 2000; 2017). In order to achieve the goal, the study applied a comprehensive approach. In the article the authors proved the relevance of the phenomena of the town and river timeline and travel timeline in the perception of the professional reader; demonstrated that the nearest textual coincidence of urban chronotopes of novels by Andrukhovych (1996; 2000; 2017) is work by Pidmohylnyi (2008), Gogol (2022) and others. The main of these coincidences is the threefold structure of the city and the pathos of the romantic line. The main conclusion of the article is the orientation of the vector of intertextual interaction in the novel towards the representation of the eternal archetype of the cultural hero, on whom the reader projects his or her Ego. The international relevance of the article is determined by the wide popularity of Andrukhovych's works in Europe and the recent receipt of the Heine Prize (2022). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of the study is to develop agrobiological fundamentals for intensifying the cultivation of innovative varieties of winter wheat in the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, considering soil-climatic conditions and agrotechnical factors. The goal is to implement competitive innovative cultivation technologies for high-quality seed production of new environmentally adaptable soft winter wheat varieties with high genetic potential. Research methods include field evaluations of competitive winter wheat varieties, laboratory analysis to determine seed similarity and germination rates, and statistical data analysis. The variability of seed quality depends on various environmental factors and the complex of genetic traits of the variety. Decreased seed viability due to low temperatures, excessive rainfall during maturation, and non-compliance with technological elements can be explained by changes in the Nitrogen content of seeds, especially protein nitrogen, which disrupts metabolic processes in embryo cells. The article presents a review of current applications and capacities of artificial intelligence in identifying pests and diseases of common agricultural crops. The review is created based on the literature search, conducted using Google Scholar engine. In total, 42 recent scientific papers (22 published in journals and 20 conference proceedings), which were published within last five years, were analysed and included into this review. Scientific papers providing incomplete data, controversial and biased information were excluded from the review. Mainly open access sources were included into the review. As a result, it was established that current artificial intelligence applications in phytosanitary monitoring of crops allow a great decrease in the mistakes in pests and diseases identification, as well as a reduction in the expenses of labour and time for manual observations. Generally, most AI-based models for plants pests and diseases identification provided identification accuracy and specificity exceeding 85%-90%, some of them reaching the peak of 99%-100% accuracy. The best results are mainly recorded for convolutional neural networks and their combination with other machine learning techniques. However, no clear unified algorithm is recommended for this purpose. The best results are usually associated with neural network-based algorithms. Further deeper scientific research is necessary to clarify the advantages, drawbacks and pitfalls of artificial intelligence application in phytopathological surveys. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The results of research on the impact of sowing dates on economic efficiency, yield, and harvest moisture of corn hybrids of different FAO groups in the conditions of the Southern Steppe of Ukraine are presented. The genotypic response of corn hybrids of different FAO groups to sowing dates was established. From an economic and agrotechnical point of view, each group of FAO corn hybrids in the irrigation conditions of southern Ukraine has its optimal sowing period. Cultivation of corn hybrids of the FAO group 400-500 in the early (April 15) and late (May 15) sowing periods is associated with a certain risk for production with the possibility of a loss of net income in the range of 21-46% (350-790 EUR/ha). These hybrids are the most productive (13.61-15.13 t/ha of grain) under optimal sowing dates (25.04-05.05) and the most profitable (1,473-1,714 EUR/ha) under irrigation conditions. Corn hybrids with FAO 190-290 have the prospect of being used in organic production without the use of herbicides during the late sowing period (May 15). Corn hybrids FAO 300-390 can be used with high efficiency at optimal sowing times, however, their sowing in early and late periods can be risky due to low cold resistance and high harvest humidity in some wet years. The results of research on determining the effectiveness of using microfertilizers and fungicides on hybrid sugar beet crops are given. Research was conducted in 2021-2022 at the experimental field of Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University. In the experiment, sugar beet hybrids were studied: Libero and Margarita KWS; Microfertilizers: control without their use, Florenta beet (1.5 l/ha), Intermag beet (2 l/ha); Fungicides: control (without their application), Alto super 330 EC (0.5 l/ha), Amistar Extra 280 SC (0.6 l/ha), Styer 500 (0.5 l/ha). It was established that the highest yield of root crops and the coefficient of energy efficiency (Сее) in the sugar beet hybrids Libero and Margarita KWS was obtained on the variant with the use of the microfertilizer Intermag beet (2 l/ha) and the fungicide Amistar Extra (0.6 l/ha) - 52.1 і 58.3 т/га та 3.2 і 3.6, respectively. The use of fungicides allows you to increase the sugar content by an average of 0.8-1.2%, microfertilizer Florenta beet (1.5 l/ha) by 0.6%, and microfertilizer Intermag beet (2 l/ha) by 0.8%, compared with control variants. The best indicators of the technological qualities of sugar beet root crops were on the variants of combined application of microfertilizers and fungicides, while the conductometric ash content was the lowest, and calculated sugar content and dry matter content were the highest. Research on the impact of seed inoculation with various bacterial preparations on seed productivity of alfalfa varieties, symbiotic nitrogen accumulation, and root system strength was conducted in 2018-2020 at the experimental field of the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The economic efficiency of growing alfalfa for seeds under inoculation with bacterial preparations was also calculated. The highest seed productivity was obtained after inoculation with a cyanobacterial drug: 456.4 kg/ha in the Unitro variety and 361.1 kg/ha in the Zoryana variety, at a cost of 0.56 €/kg and 0.70 €/kg and conditional net profit of 1571.93 €/ha and 1190.73 €/ha, respectively. The highest root mass (5.76 and 5.80 t/ha) and nitrogen fixation (222 and 228 kg/ha) were noted in the Unitro and Zoryana varieties, respectively, when the cyanobacterial preparation was used. The greatest profit from growing alfalfa for seeds in crop rotation was obtained by inoculation with a cyanobacterial preparation in the Unitro variety 1,894.40 €/ha and in the Zoryana variety 1,516.43 €/ha. The aim of the study was to study the effectiveness and provide an economic assessment of the use of various insecticides against pests on alfalfa seed crops in the second year of the grass stand. The research was conducted during 2019-2021 at the experimental field of the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of the NAAS. Treatment with insecticides was carried out: the first - in the phase of the beginning of budding, the second - before the beginning of flowering. The use of insecticides reduced the number of pests on the grass stand. The most effective in the fight against pests (with the exception of Aphis craccivora Koch) was the preparation with the active substances Chlorpyrifos, 500 g/l and Cypermethrin, 50 g/l and the consumption rate of 1.00 l/ha. The highest seed yield was obtained in the first treatment with an insecticide preparation with the active substances Chlorpyrifos, 500 g/l and Cypermethrin, 50 g/l and the consumption rate of 1.00 l/ha, and in the second treatment with preparations with the active substances Chlorantraniliprole, 200 g/l and Lambda-cyhalothrin, 50 g/l at a rate of 0.17 and 0.15 l/ha, respectively. When irrigated with this variant, the seed productivity was 635.2 kg/ha, which was higher than the control variant by 115.3 kg/ha. Under conditions of natural moisture, the seed yield was 452.5 kg/ha, and was higher than the control by 74.3 kg/ha. The lowest cost price of 0.66 €/ha and the highest conditional net profit of 1702.87 €/ha was obtained on the option: the first treatment - Chlorpyrifos, 500 g/l and Cypermethrin, 50 g/l, the second - Chlorantraniliprole, 200 g/l and Lambda-cyhalothrin, 50 g/l. The war in Ukraine has changed the life not only for the Ukrainian citizens, but also the people all around the world. The first days were incredibly awful and the disaster was so huge that nobody (nor lecturers not the students) could even think about the process of studying. The fight for surviving has begun. Two week in the beginning of March, 2022 were out of studying (all the students had so called "unexpected vocations"). It is clearly that many foreign students gave up studying in Ukraine after the 24th of February, 2022. But, in spite of our grief, even a lot of foreigners desired to continue online studying at Ukrainian universities. There are many students who gave up studying in Ukraine not believing in future perspectives here. In the condition to save the life Ukrainians have to continue their everyday work to avoid economic and social collapse in the country in all spheres of agriculture, industry, education, culture, etc. The war time makes us change a lot: widen the methods of distance learning, differentiate the individual studying, using different psychological methods to avoid panic attacks during air alarms in the period of classes, often blackouts in almost all regions of Ukraine, etc. As a result, we have to provide the online studying to supply educational service even in the war time to save the university structure, the working positions, to prevent scientific potential being destroyed. The aim of the research was to study the ecological plasticity and stability of winter wheat varieties under the arid conditions of the southern steppe of Ukraine. The research was conducted during 2015/16‒2019/20 at the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture, NAAS, and the Askanian State Agricultural Research Station, Kherson region, Ukraine. The material for the research was 10 varieties of winter wheat which were sown under conditions of optimal (irrigation) and stress (without irrigation) moistening. The response of winter wheat cultivars to growing conditions was analyzed using regression coefficient, homeostatic parameters, general adaptability, variance of specific adaptability, selection value of genotype and others. The minimum yield of varieties varied from 2.02 t ha-1 to 3.72 t ha-1 and the maximum - from 8.10 to 9.81 t ha-1. The obtained results are a contribution to the study of both theoretical and practical aspects of wheat drought resistance and can be used as elements of selection programs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The results of research on establishing the correlation-regression dependence of the assimilation surface area of plant leaves of inbred lines-parental components of corn hybrids of different FAO groups and seed yield depending on the density of plants and treatment with the drug Retengo® are highlighted. The research is based on a comparative assessment of three parent lines of different FAO groups: DK247 (FAO 290), DK205710 (FAO 380), DK445 (FAO 420). The effectiveness of the application of the fungicide with growth-stimulating action Retengo® at different plant densities was determined. The yield calculation showed that the realization of the seed yield potential for each inbred line depends on the genotype, in accordance with the established individual parameters of the optimum leaf surface and phytocenosis density in the crop. This article presents the results of research on the formation of phytocenosis of winter barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) depending on the hydrothermal conditions of the autumn period, varietal characteristics and sowing dates in irrigated lands in the South of Ukraine. Based on long-term research on irrigated lands on the growth and development of plants in the autumn growing season and increasing winter hardiness of winter barley varieties, it has been established that irrigation efficiency has significantly increased over the past twenty years due to regional climate change. Moreover, the extended period of autumn vegetation requires a change in the timing of sowing of winter crops on 13-15 days later. Domestic breeders have created new varieties of winter wheat and winter barley with a short period of vernalization, which are less responsive to the reduction of daylight hours, and some of them have increased winter hardiness.On average, in 1998-2001, the shift in the sowing date of winter barley from September 20 to October 15 led to a deterioration of growth processes, and during the last sowing period, tillering did not occur in the autumn. Among the biomorphological indicators of barley plants there is a close correlation between bushiness, ground mass of plants and their height (r = 0.94-0.99). Compared to the period 1971-1990, the sum of average daily air temperatures in 2001-2005 increased by 110°C, in 2006-2010 – by 191°C, in 2011-2015 – by 222°C and in 2016-2020 – 220°C, and the autumn growing season increased by 8, 10, 15 and 13 days, respectively. On the other hand, the amount of precipitation in most cases was less than the long-term average. During the sowing of winter barley on September 20, the varieties of the winter barley Akademichnyi, Deviatyi val and Dostoinyi have time to carry out tillering well in autumn, forming 3.5–5.2 shoots. During the sowing on October 1, their bushiness was 2.3–3.2, and during the sowing on October 20, the plants do not have time to carry out tillering well, they enter the winter in the phase of 2-3 leaves. For high hardening of winter barley plants and accumulation of sugars in bushes at the level of 30.22-38.8%, the best time for sowing of the studied varieties is the beginning of October. The article offers an overview on the most notable features of the implementation of psychonarratives in fiction and documentary and fiction prose about the Antiterrorist Operation (ATO) and the hybrid warfare in Donbas from the standpoint of the achievements of modern humanities, which gives intelligence a multidisciplinary nature. The degree of academic research on the outlined topics at both the world and the national scientific levels has been clarified. The contribution of the Western scientists to the development of theoretical and methodological principles of parameterization of psychonarratives is outlined. There is a tendency to increase the interest of domestic specialists in narratology, in particular psychonaratology, mainly in empirical terms. At the same time, an objective lack of thorough theoretical developments of the monographic or dissertation level on the outlined issues has been stated in Ukrainian studies. Terminological vagueness and imbalance in the interpretation of the key concepts of psychonarrative studies have been recorded. Methods and means of realization and manifestation of the psychonarratives in the text structures are established. There is a growing interest of domestic researchers in the direct or indirect consideration of narrative, psychonarrative and selfnarrative in fiction prose and documentary and fiction prose about the ATO and the hybrid warfare in the Donbas in the context of discursivity and intermediality. The peculiarities of psychonarrative expression on the formal structure and sence-content levels are indicated. The common and distinctive features of the realization of psychonarratives in fiction and non-fiction literature are briefly noted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The results of research on the influence of irrigation methods and regime on the processes of total water consumption and irrigation efficiency in the cultivation of maize hybrids of different FAO groups in the Southern Steppe of Ukraine are presented. It is confirmed that the method of irrigation, the genotype of the hybrid significantly affects the formation of water regime of the soil and the productivity of corn. The use of drip irrigation provides the highest levels of grain yield (16.09-16.72 t·ha-1) at the lowest specific water consumption for the formation of the unit of yield (water use efficiency) - 365.90-376.13 m³·t-1, the highest payback of irrigation water by yield increase (3.95-4.16 kg·m-3) when using FAO 400-440 hybrids adapted to irrigation conditions. According to the absolute parameters of irrigation water consumption, surface drip irrigation is the most economical. Hybrids with adequate response to the level of soil moisture and provide grain yield: without irrigation - 2.89-3.01 t·ha-1 (drought-resistant), with water-saving irrigation regime - 9.45-9.51 t·ha-1 (homeostatic type), with the optimal irrigation regime - 14.85-16.72 t·ha-1 (intensive type).
