Connected components in automobiles face cybersecurity threats if not adequately protected. The Controller Area Network (CAN), the primary communication protocol in vehicular systems, lacks essential security mechanisms, necessitating heightened cybersecurity awareness in the automotive industry. This paper presents a methodology to enhance cybersecurity within the CAN network, including a comparative study with benchmark results. Our research focuses on improving multiclass Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) for the CAN network. We introduce a hybrid deep learning model tailored for precise multiclass classification of attacks, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN)-based Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM) IDS that incorporates a comprehensive set of features. The evaluation on diverse cyber-attacks from the Car-Hacking dataset demonstrates the model's effectiveness. This study contributes to the field by offering a brief assessment of current state-of-the-art methods and presenting a novel approach to bolster cybersecurity. The challenge of ensuring reliability for high‐efficiency technology, multiple‐input‐multiple‐output orthogonal‐frequency‐division‐multiplexing (MIMO‐OFDM), in wireless frequency‐selective fading environments persists. In this article, the concept of spreading a symbol's energy is proposed as a viable solution to enhance transmission reliability for MIMO‐OFDM systems. And an energy‐spreading‐transform (EST)‐based MIMO‐OFDM transceiver is developed. Following the Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) performed by the conventional MIMO‐OFDM transmitter, an orthogonal transformation called the EST is introduced. This transform spreads the energy of a symbol across the entire frequency domain and all time slots. The EST is coupled with the improved iterative detection algorithm named EST‐partial decision (PD)‐iterative‐interference‐cancellation (EST‐PD‐IIC) to maximize and leverage the potential diversity gain. Numerical simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme approaches the performance bound when signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) is about 21dB for 16‐ary quadrature amplitude modulation (16‐QAM). Complexity analysis illustrates that the computational complexity of the evolved EST‐PD‐IIC algorithm is lower than that of the famous vertically Bell laboratory layered space‐time detector (V‐BLAST) when the antenna array size is greater than 3×3$3\times 3$. In summary, the proposed scheme is practical for providing high‐quality communication in multi‐path fading environments and can even enable a reliable communication without channel encoding when Eb/N0 exceeds a threshold in 5G‐Advanced. The proliferation of mobile devices and the spread of IoT devices have increased the tendency to use wireless sensor networks (WSNs), especially since the implementation of the 5G communication system has begun in most countries. This type of network does not require any infrastructure or additional cost, making it a good alternative for use in disasters, environmental monitoring, military, and rescue operations. However, WSNs suffer from some limitations, such as mobility and battery lifetime. Significant research has been conducted to overcome the limitation of battery lifetime by developing routing methods and reducing the required communications among wireless mobile nodes. In this research, we utilize the low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) concept to minimize communication between the nodes and the base station. A new approach has been developed to form clusters in WSN nodes and select the optimal cluster head by facilitating the election of a new cluster head (CH). When the current cluster head's energy depletes, a new one is selected, ensuring continuous operation. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms the existing LEACH clustering algorithm in terms of energy consumption, packet delivery ratio (PDR), and latency time. Existing research literature in computing and IT education shows that there has been limited work on investigating how offense based learning approaches using hacks can enhance learning of mobile security topics. In an effort to fill this research gap, we performed an experimental study with a unique, nifty user hack driven offense based learning strategy to effect mobile security awareness and interest in cybersecurity at the high school and middle school levels, as described in this work. A highlight of our novel study is our original CovertEyeOp mobile app, which was designed and developed strategically to be the driving force towards implementing our hacking based offense driven leaning technique. In this research, we carried out a comparative analysis of our app based offense driven learning approach with other relevant works on mobile security education. To conduct experiments with our user hack driven offense based learning strategy, we created a hands on experiential learning activity using our CovertEyeOp app, which educates users about security and privacy issues in mobile devices by hacking them and enabling them to self-discover issues with user permissions given to mobile apps. We offered this unique mobile app based learning activity to 90 participants (both students and teachers) primarily from the high school community across different states over multiple years and have collected quantitative plus qualitive data in the form of survey responses from these various users. Additionally, we discuss our earlier experiments of hosting an older version of our mobile app based lesson with 100 middle school students. We analyze this gathered learner data from the overall 190 participants' survey responses to determine whether our app driven offense based learning approach works and makes a difference in terms of fostering K-12 learning and engagement through acquired evidence of increased mobile security awareness and interest in cybersecurity. Overall, our study results in unique findings that show the prospects, benefits, and efficacy of including a user hack driven offense based learning strategy in K-12 teaching of mobile security topics. The frequency of natural disasters has increased recently, posing a huge threat to human society. Rapid, accurate, authentic, and comprehensive acquisition and transmission of disaster information are crucial in emergency response. In this paper, we propose a design scheme for an aerial remote sensing platform based on real-time satellite communication. This platform mainly includes a civilian heavy-duty unmanned aerial vehicle, ground observation system with the self-developed orthographic image stabilization device, wireless communication system with an airborne mobile communication device using Ku band, ground satellite information receiving station, and data processing and application analysis system. The image stabilization capability of the ground observation system and the communication capability of the wireless communication system were verified through ground and flight tests respectively. The results showed that the stability accuracy of the platform was better than the theoretical threshold, the system transmission rate was not less than 2 M bandwidth, the data packet loss rate was low, and the time delay was not more than 2 s. The images captured in the experiment were clear, with a resolution of less than 1cm and an overlap rate of more than 70%. These all results meet the emergency observation requirement, which indicates that the aerial remote sensing platform based on real-time satellite communication has great potential for application in natural disaster emergency response. Summary: Intelligent fire safety systems place higher demands on the speed and reliability of data communication between sensors, controllers, and other devices. The two‐wire bus has become a significant trend in developing fire safety communication systems because of its low cost and simple maintenance. This paper proposes a two‐wire bus communication system for fire safety based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology. First, we introduce the low‐voltage power line channel model and conduct relevant simulations, providing the conditions for subsequent simulation work. Then, we design the system's transmission and reception schemes, provide the parameters, and introduce each technology used. Finally, we conducted system simulations based on three different channel models, and the system performance is compared among different encoding, modulation, and channel estimation methods. The simulation results show that the system designed in this paper has superior performance compared with other systems and can meet the requirements of intelligent fire safety systems for communication speed and reliability. The micro and small unmanned aerial vehicles (msUAVs) internet of things has been widely used in different fields. At the same time, the disordered flight of msUAVs inevitably become a potential threat to public security (such as airports, railway stations, major event venues, etc.). In view of the safety problem of msUAVs, the anti-micro and small unmanned aerial vehicles (AmsUAVs) is used to solve the defense problem of msUAVs in public safety places. The system blocks the communication link of the msUAVs by transmitting high power to achieve the purpose of low altitude control. At the same time, the AmsUAVs will also cause interference to the uplink of other nearby radio communication systems, such as civil aviation and mobile communication systems, In this paper, an analysis method based on the interference-to-noise ratio (INR) criterion is proposed and interference analysis is performed on AmsUAVs and some mobile communication systems uplink. First, to control msUAVs, it is necessary to calculate the minimum transmit power of the AmsUAVs in the corresponding frequency band according to the uplink and the radio wave propagation distance of the msUAVs. Second, to avoid harmful interference to other radio commnication systems (e.g., CDMA and TD-LTE), the frequency and distance separation between the AmsUAVs and mobile communication systems should be calculated according to factors such as application scenarios, radio wave propagation distance, and working frequency band. Finally, a simulation analysis provides the transmit power, off-axis angle, frequency separation, and distance separation of the AmsUAVs and mobile communication base station in different environments. We report the design, fabrication, and experimental results of an optical wavelength demultiplexer for a new wireless-optical signal converter for Beyond-5G/6G mobile communication system. This optical wavelength demultiplexer is based on a lithium niobate (LiNbO3) multimode interference (MMI) coupler and is intended to be applied in an advanced electro-optics modulator (EOM) with ability in converting the space division multiplexing (SDM) wireless-wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) optical signals. The designed MMI coupler displays a high splitting ratio over -13 dB in both O and L bands. The results from the experiments align well with the simulation. The utilization of the MMI coupler in EOM enables the direct conversion of SDM wireless signals to WDM optical signals, without any additional power supply. Summary Unmanned aerial vehicle operations are quickly gaining ground due to rapid global market penetration. While on one hand, novel technologies that bridge communication networks to aviation industry are yet to be explored, on the other hand, their development requires highly scalable systems to enable beyond visual line‐of‐sight missions. This requirement imposes a big bottleneck in terms of computation complexity. This paper presents a method for fast computation of multiple diffraction of radio waves over knife‐edge obstacles based on the Deygout technique and some offline computation steps, including a ground profile analysis. We prove that this algorithm is equivalent to the original Deygout algorithm for all non‐line‐of‐sight points, show heuristics confirming that it is mostly applicable in the line‐of‐sight case. The computational and memory complexity of our algorithm is approximately O(N)$$ \mathcal{O}\left(\sqrt{N}\right) $$, compared to O(N)$$ \mathcal{O}(N) $$ for the original Deygout algorithm. As electromobility and especially the electrification of public transportation develops, it is necessary to safeguard human health and minimize environmental impact. Electromagnetic fields generated by the current flowing through on-board batteries, installations, converters, propulsion, air conditioning, heating, lighting, or wireless communication systems in these vehicles may pose risks to drivers and passengers. This research investigates electromagnetic fields induced by extreme low-frequency currents and permanent magnets on electric and trolleybuses implanted in Lublin, Poland. The identification of electromagnetic fields concerned an electric bus model and two trolleybus models. This paper presents an innovative approach towards space–ground integrated communication systems by combining terrestrial cellular networks, UAV networks, and satellite networks, leveraging advanced slicing technology. The proposed architecture addresses the challenges posed by future user surges and aims to reduce network overhead effectively. Central to our approach is the introduction of a marginal mobile station (MS)-assisted network resource allocation decision architecture. Building upon this foundation, we introduce the DP-DQN model, an enhanced decision-making algorithm tailored for MSs in dynamic network environments. Furthermore, this study introduces a feedback mechanism to ensure the accuracy and adaptability of the marginalization model over time. Through extensive simulations and experimental validations, our DP-DQN-based edge decision method demonstrates substantial potential in alleviating core network overhead while improving success access ratios compared to conventional methods. The rapid development of fifth/sixth-generation (5 G/6 G) telecommunication technologies has led to increased demands for silicate ceramic materials. In this work, Ge4+-substituted diopside, CaMg 0.9 Zn 0.1 Si 2- x Ge x O 6 (CMZSG, x = 0.0–2.0) ceramics were synthesized via the conventional solid-state method. All samples were sintered densely at 1200 ℃ for 4 h. CMZSG ceramics keep a single phase with C 2/ c and the lattice parameters vary smoothly with x. When 0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.8, Ge4+ substitution prevents the abnormal grain growth. CMZSG ceramics have enhanced dielectric properties after substituting Ge4+, and the sample with x = 0.1 has the greatest dielectric properties with ε r = 7.78 and Q × f = 190,300 GHz. The dielectric properties in the microwave and terahertz bands are compared, and the larger ε r and Q × f values in the terahertz band are found due to the withdrawal of the partial polarization mechanism and different measurement methods. The relationship between lattice distortions and the dielectric properties is established. Both the local distortion in [Si/GeO 4 ] tetrahedra chain and the distortion within [Si/GeO 4 ] tetrahedron are found to contribute to the enhancement of Q × f values. Furthermore, the increased lattice expansion and the distortion within [Si/GeO 4 ] tetrahedron contribute to a larger negative τ f. These conclusions can guide us to design silicate ceramics with higher Q × f values and near-zero τ f for application. The CaMg 0.9 Zn 0.1 Si 1.9 Ge 0.1 O 6 ceramics exhibit excellent dielectric properties with ε r = 7.48 and Q × f = 303,400 GHz in the terahertz band, rendering it a promising dielectric material for future terahertz mobile communication systems. • The Q × f values in the microwave and terahertz bands vary in the same trend. • Bond strains are calculated from the distortion theorem of the bond-valence theory. • The Q × f values and τ f have strong correlation with lattice distortion. In this letter, a novel algorithm is proposed to design symbol‐level waveform for dual‐functional radar‐communication (DFRC) systems with low range sidelobe. Different from current schemes design waveform at the block level, a phase response constraint is introduced at the symbol level to provide an additional degree of freedom to decrease the range sidelobe in the pulse compression procedure, which is highly desired in radar systems. In particular, the phase response at the target direction is constrained to be similar to the given reference phase, and the matching error between the designed beampattern and the desired one is minimized subject to the constant modulus constraint. Furthermore, to guarantee the quality of service for communication, constructive interference is exploited at the symbol level for each communication user. An alternating direction method of multipliers algorithm is also proposed to solve the resulting nonconvex optimization problem with tractable subproblems solved sufficiently by the manifold optimization and standard quadratic problem. Mobile communications systems are affected by what is known as fading, which is a well-known problem largely studied for decades. The direct consequence of fading is the complete loss of signal (or a large decrease of the received power). Rayleigh fading is a reasonable model for wireless channels although, Nakagami-m distribution seems better suited to fitting experimental data. In this paper we obtain the Nakagami-m distribution as a composite (mixture) of the Rayleigh distribution, a result which as far as we know it has not been shown in the literature. This representation of the Nakagami-m distribution facilitates computations of the average BER (Bit Error Rate) for DPSK (Differential Phase Shift Keying) and MSK (Minimum-Shift Keying) modulations for this distribution and higher moments of them, which is of great applicability to modeling wireless fading channels. Furthermore, a simple, not depending on any special function, apart of the Gamma function, bivariate version of the Nakagami-m distribution is also proposed as a special case of the multivariate version which is also presented. The proposed composite distribution is simulated through the standard procedure of summation of phasors, and results for the new closed-form measures for the MSK modulation are also shown. From that it is clear that the alternative formulation of the Nakagami-m distribution allows for easier modeling of fading fading-shadowing wireless channels through the new explicit second order statistics metrics. is well suited for modelling fading-shadowing wireless channels. The fifth generation (5G) cellular network roll-out provides high-speed performance, better coverage, and ubiquitous connectivity for the next-generation of intelligent communication systems. Compared to earlier versions, the new 5G wireless standard operates across a wider range of frequencies, which has raised aviation industry's concerns regarding safety and compatibility. For example, 5G systems operating with frequencies that are adjacent those used by radio altimeters could disrupt flight operations and navigation functions. This paper provides an overview of current research efforts assessing the 5G interference and its potential operational impact on altimeters. The work discusses the current stance of regulators and telecommunications operators worldwide on potential 5G interference with altimeters. The paper also compares the ongoing public consultations with key stakeholders globally regarding cellular systems' interference with altimeters. This work offers technical and policy recommendations to spectrum regulators and aviation authorities to inform the safe and efficient deployment of 5G spectra. Transmission, energy management, and distribution systems are critical components of modern electric vehicles, encompassing all sectors of the power system through communication control technology. One widely used communication system in electric vehicles is the Controller Area Network (CAN). This research aims to investigate the development of CAN BUS technology, adapted from large trucks, to control the communication system within an ATV electric vehicle using a communication format similar to bus Communication. The communication control system includes several components: the engine switch, headlight, turn signal, emergency light, horn, forward/reverse gear, and accelerator. The system's communication protocols were developed using MRS Developers Studio version 1.40 software to create the data transmission and reception formats for the vehicle's components. The communication system employs three PLC 1.033.30B.00 type E control boxes, each with limited analog and digital input/output ports. The sequence of communication control begins with the engine start/stop operation, as the system will not function unless the engine is started first. The headlight operation is processed within the CAN BUS1 control box. Simultaneously, the turn signal and emergency light functions are controlled by CAN BUS1 and displayed on both the CAN BUS2 (front of the vehicle) and CAN BUS3 (rear of the vehicle) control boxes. Additionally, the accelerator function is managed within the CAN BUS2 control box and displayed on the CAN BUS3 control box. However, this operation is contingent upon the forward/reverse gear selection, managed by CAN BUS1 and processed by CAN BUS3. All system operations are designed within the software's programming paths. The communication system operates using CAN-High and CAN-Low lines, and communication data fields can be monitored using the PCAN-View software version 4.2.1.533. This study demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of adapting CAN BUS technology for ATV electric vehicles, providing insights into the integration and control of various vehicular components within a unified communication framework. The Quality of Service (QoS) rendered by mobile communication network is pivotal to the economic development of any country. Therefore, considering the quality of service in Nigeria mobile communication network is not out of place. This study focuses on the evaluation and empirical modeling of the Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR). The research method is divided into three unique sections: evaluation of Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR), measurement of Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR) using the old Engineering Faculty and medical college area in Ekpoma town. Additionally, modeling of Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR) is based on the obtained data from the area under investigation. Measurement was carried out from two basic points, considering the attitudes and longitudes of two points respectively. Three mobile network operators were considered for this study, MTN NG, GLO NG and AIRTEL NG, six different mobile phones were deployed, along with ten stopwatches. Calls are initiated from MTN to GLO and Airtel, to determine the respective CSSR using a stopwatch. Additionally, the process was repeated from GLO to MTN and Airtel, and lastly from Airtel to MTN and GLO. This procedure is of subjective nature, where ten (10) evaluators with their stopwatches are made to record CSSR time independently. The corresponding results are averaged, and the outputs are presented in graphical format. It was observed that the CSSR obtained is not deterministic in nature due to poor signal strength level, and the CSSR flow pattern can best be described as a logarithmic distribution pattern based on the developed empirical model. Furthermore, it was observed that the call setup success rate is at a minimum when calls are setup within the same mobile network operator compared to inter-mobile network operator calls. A study was conducted to examined the path loss propagation characteristics of Global system for mobile communication signals in Sapele, Nigeria. Fifteen different environments were investigated, which provided a comprehensive representation of the city. The Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) was measured at varying distances from the base station for each environment. The data was then analysed to regulate the propagation exponent path loss and characteristics path loss. The path loss in Sapele was found to range from 2.9 to 4.2, with an average of 3.2. The Internet of Things (IoT) is an innovation in technology. Continuous advancements based on the IoT cloud have revolutionized the lives of humans, and remote health monitoring of patients is no exception. The Telecare Medicine Information System (TMIS) allows physicians, other health care providers and patients to observe the medical data electronically. Therefore, security in remote medicine has always been a serious challenge. Recently, to make a secure communication system, biometrics-based schemes have played a crucial role in IoT, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), etc. are gaining popularity due to their authenticity and high security properties. Many key agreement schemes have been presented in this literature. These schemes are only for authorized access to medical services and initiate a session to negotiate a shared essential between users and servers. Recently, Xiong et al. and Mehmood et al. presented key exchange methods for healthcare applications that claimed these schemes provide greater privacy. However, we show that these schemes suffer from privacy issues and key compromise impersonation attacks. In this paper, to remove such restrictions, a novel scheme (ECKCI) based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) with KCI resistance property was proposed. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the ECKCI not only overcomes problems such as key compromise impersonation attacks in previous protocols, but also resists all specific attacks. Finally, a suitable equilibrium between the performance and security of ECKCI in comparison with recently proposed protocols was obtained. The NFC and MIFARE systems (referred to as HF-band RFID) are a special case of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology using a radio frequency of 13.56 MHz for communication. The declared range of such communication is usually several cm and is characterized by the need to bring the data carrier close to the system reader. Due to the possibility of transmitting sensitive data in this type of system, an important problem seems to be the electromagnetic security of the transmitted data between the cards (tags) and the reader and within the system. In most of the available research studies, the security of RFID systems comes down to the analysis of the effectiveness of encryption of transmitted data or testing the range of communication between the reader and the identifier. In this research, however, special attention is paid to the so-called electromagnetic information security without the analysis of cryptographic protection. In some cases (e.g., data retransmission), encryption may not be an effective method of securing data (because, e.g., encrypted data might be used to open and start a car with a keyless system). In addition, the research draws attention to the fact that the data from the identifier can be accessed not only from the identifier, but also from the control system (reader, wiring, controller, etc.) from which the data can be radiated (unintentionally) at a much greater distance than the communication range between the identifier and the reader. In order to determine the security of the transmitted data in the HF-band RFID systems, a number of tests were carried out with the use of specialized equipment. During the measurements, both the data carriers themselves (cards, key fobs, stickers, tags) and exemplary systems for reading data from the media (a writable card reader, a mobile phone with NFC function, and an extensive access control system) were tested. The experiments carried out made it possible to determine the safety of NFC and MIFARE systems during their use and only storage (e.g., the ability to read data from an identification card stored in a pocket). Surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonators are key components of mobile communication systems, and the development of wideband SAW resonators is especially required because next-generation mobile communication systems require high-speed data transmission using wide frequency bands. In this study, two layered structures—(i) a c-axis-tilted ScAlN bilayer film/silicon substrate and (ii) a c-axis-zigzag ScAlN film/silicon substrate—are proposed for highly coupled SAW resonators, and the electromechanical coupling coefficient K2 of the non-leaky Rayleigh-mode SAW propagating in these structures is investigated theoretically. With a proper c-axis tilt angle and thickness selection of the ScAlN film, the first-mode Rayleigh SAW in the c-axis-tilted ScAlN bilayer film/silicon substrate and c-axis-zigzag ScAlN film/silicon substrate offers high K2. The maximum K2 was 9.56%, obtained in the c-axis-zigzag ScAlN film/silicon substrate structure, which was 2.5 times the maximum K2 in the c-axis-tilted ScAlN monolayer film/silicon substrate structure; this is because the c-axis-zigzag ScAlN films increase the shear vertical component of the SAW particle displacement, most of which is concentrated in the c-axis-zigzag ScAlN film on the silicon substrate. It is also important that the second-mode SAW (Sezawa wave) in the c-axis-zigzag ScAlN film/silicon substrate structure is not excited when the K2 value of the first-mode SAW is maximized. The techniques for fabricating a c-axis-tilted ScAlN film and a c-axis-zigzag ScAlN film have been reported, and well-established micromachining technology related to silicon semiconductors offers significant advantages in the manufacturing and processing of SAW resonators. This article introduces a uniform theory of diffraction–physical optics (UTD–PO) formulation for analyzing radiowave multiple diffraction emanating from trees and buildings in green urban areas, considering illumination from a low transmitter and assuming spherical-wave incidence. Based on Babinet's principle, this solution models buildings as rectangular sections and accounts for the influence of tree crowns (assuming these rise above the average rooftop height) by incorporating appropriate attenuation factors/phasors into the diffraction phenomena of buildings. The validation of the formulation is achieved through measurements made at the 39 GHz 6G mmWave frequency on a scale model of a green urban environment comprising bonsai trees and bricks. The main advantage of the proposed solution is that the calculations only include single diffractions due to recursion, circumventing the need to use higher-order diffraction terms in the diffraction coefficients, thus reducing the computation time and power. To connect and access intelligent healthcare services, people, and devices at any time, a secure wireless mobile communication system is essential. This article suggests a mHealth‐based patient monitoring system (mHealth‐PMS) based on AI for healthcare 4.0. Mobile healthcare applications motorized by Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) have enabled people to triage their conditions and preemptive treatment decisions. Information collected has been analysed for substantiating cause, and alert and preventive messages have been immediately sent through the mobile application. The performance analysis has been executed, and the proposed mobile application‐based surveillance provided much‐enhanced reporting of information quickly on diseases, symptoms, factors, and more. The mHealth‐PMS strategy shows an accuracy ratio of 95.6%, monitoring ratio of 93.5%, data management ratio of 94.4%, data security ratio of 91.7%, data privacy ratio of 92.1%, prediction ratio of 95.3%, a cost‐effective ratio of 25.5% compared to the existing methods. Autonomous systems are becoming increasingly relevant in our everyday life. The transportation field is no exception and the smart cities concept raises new tasks and challenges for the development of autonomous systems development which has been progressively researched in literature. For instance, a mobile robot system can work as a standalone autonomous system reacting to a static environment and avoiding obstacles to reach a target. Nevertheless, more intensive communication and decision making is needed when additional dynamic objects and other autonomous systems are present in the same working environment. This study evaluates the performance of large intelligent surface (LIS) technology in the context of a multi-user MIMO mobile communication system (Mu-MIMO) proposed for the sixth generation (6G). LIS employs digitally controlled reflectors to enhance Signal-to-Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) and establish line of sight (LoS) connectivity in non-LoS environments, improving transmission security. Portable mobile technologies and high-speed access to the internet has led to the development of new online-first reading materials such as Korean Manhwa or webtoons, designed for quick consumption on mobile devices. Drawing on in-depth interviews with 11 adolescent girls aged 14 to 15 years old, this study examines why and how adolescents read Manhwa, especially romances. Findings show that these girls read for entertainment and to escape from reality. Strong visual aesthetics, relatable characters and engaging storylines, driven by technological infrastructures encouraging continual engagement, support these adolescents' immersion in online storyworlds. Their engagement with these texts allowed the girls as readers to discover self as reader and person, negotiating multifaceted aspects of their working, moral and romantic lives as they envision present and future possibilities. Geophysical prospecting signals encompass subsurface structural information and incorporate textual messages generated in accordance with a specific pattern. These signals can be employed in places without radio access to ensure public and worker safety. Therefore, the use of seismic signals to transmit information through the earth has attracted the attention of researchers in the last decade. Presently, achievements in seismic communication are mainly in the coding, generation, and propagation of seismic signals. Little work has been done on methods to convert seismic signals generated by vibroseis sources into text and broadcast them vocally. Therefore, we built a seismic communication system with 6‐bit code using the American Standard Code for Information Interchange. To better recommend the seismic communication system scheme, the origin, state and principles of seismic communication system are illustrated in detail. Then, a seismic transmitting system is devised with a 500 N vibroseis source, which compiles seismic signals through amplitude modulation. After seismic signals propagate through the earth, they are received by geophones and recorded in seismographs. Through data acquisition based on a compression algorithm, seismic signals are converted into text and voice signals, which significantly reduces the storage and transmission of seismic data. In this paper, a new metamaterial absorber (MMA) is presented that exhibits resonances at 3.5 GHz and 13 GHz having peak absorption of 92.7% and 99.99% respectively. The MMA consists of an FR4 substrate with three interconnected circular rings and disk-shaped metallic layers at the top and full copper at the back. The overall dimension is 0.14λ0 × 0.14λ0, where λ0 is calculated at 3.5 GHz. The design is optimized through numerical simulation performed in CST microwave studio. The MMA shows polarization angle and incident angle insensitivity up to 60° for both transverse electric and transverse magnetic waves. The equivalent circuit is modeled and verified through simulation in Advanced Design Software (ADS). It exhibits an almost zero polarization conversion ratio with a maximum value of 0.002 at 13 GHz. The prototype of the MMA is developed and the measured result shows good similarity with the simulation. Due to polarization and incident angle intensity, and good absorption, this compact MMA can be applied in wireless communication systems including wave shielding from 5G signals, and microwave sensing. Highly dynamic Internet of Vehicles spectrum sharing can share spectrum owned by vehicle-to-infrastructure links through multiple workshop links to achieve efficient resource allocation. Aiming at the problem that the rapid variations in channel states in highly dynamic vehicular environments can make it challenging for base stations to gather and manage information about instantaneous channel states, we present a multi-agent deep reinforcement learning-based V2X spectrum access algorithm. The algorithm is designed to optimize the throughput of V2I user under V2V user delay and reliability constraints, and uses the experience gained from interacting with the communication environment to update the Q network to improve spectrum and power allocation strategies. Implicit collaborative agents are trained through an improved DQN model combined with dueling network architecture and long short-term memory network layers and public rewards. With lagged Q-learning and concurrent experience replay trajectories, the training process was stabilized and the non-stationarity problem caused by concurrent learning of multiple agents was resolved. Simulation results demonstrate that our presented algorithm achieves a mean successful payload delivery rate of 95.89%, which is 16.48% greater than that of the randomized baseline algorithm. Our algorithm obtains approximately the optimal value and shows performance close to the centralized brute force algorithm, which provides a better strategy for further minimizing the signaling overhead of the Internet of Vehicles communication system. The rapid advancement of mobile and computing technologies has made the enjoyment of music in the video gaming experience more accessible and affordable, and has raised the interest of educators in the affordances of music-related games for informal music learning. This study aimed to examine the educational affordances of music-related games through content analysis. User reviews of music gaming mobile apps and video games were collected from two major digital distribution platforms and analysed to identify patterns and meanings related to their educational affordances and learning design. The findings reflected a sense of competence, autonomy and engagement resulting from playing video games, which motivated players to become self-directed learners in the context of informal learning. Digital portfolios offer opportunities for reflection and collaboration in teacher education. However, the affordances of mobile devices have scarcely been explored in this context. A mixed-methods study was conducted wherein 44 student teachers collaboratively used a mobile portfolio app for reflection with peer students and mentors during teaching internships. The analysis focused on the collaborative content of mobile portfolios and its relationship with self-reported outcomes after the internship. The results showed that portfolios often included multimedia records (i.e. pictures, video and audio) of student activity in the classroom and written reflections on teaching strategies. Mentors recorded more videos in portfolios, while peer records varied and correlated with student teachers' self-efficacy gains. Cluster analysis showed higher teacher self-efficacy gains when all collaborators actively contributed to the portfolios. Students with complex communication needs have increasingly been using non-dedicated communication systems, such as mobile devices, to support their communication needs. This in turn, has led to an increased used of augmentative and alternative communication apps. The main challenge currently faced is the lack of empirically validated apps and evaluation systems to assess the features of the apps. As a result, this study attempted to determine the reliability of an app evaluation tool that was grounded in the components of the feature matching model. The goal was also to identify if the app evaluation tool could be used to evaluate various types of augmentative and alternative communication apps. Participants evaluated apps across the dimensions of usability, output, and display. Results suggest that expert raters were more reliability than novice raters across the various types of apps. The proliferation of wireless technologies, particularly the advent of 5G networks, has ushered in transformative possibilities for enhancing vehicular communication systems, particularly in the context of autonomous driving. Leveraging sensory data and mapping information downloaded from base stations using I2V links, autonomous vehicles in these networks present the promise of enabling distant perceptual abilities essential to completing various tasks in a dynamic environment. However, the efficient down-link transmission of vehicular network data via base stations, often relying on spectrum sharing, presents a multifaceted challenge. This paper addresses the intricacies of spectrum allocation in vehicular networks, aiming to resolve the thorny issues of cross-station interference and coupling while adapting to the dynamic and evolving characteristics of the vehicular environment. A novel approach is suggested involving the utilization of a multi-agent option-critic reinforcement learning algorithm. This algorithm serves a dual purpose: firstly, it learns the most efficient way to allocate spectrum resources optimally. Secondly, it adapts to the ever-changing dynamics of the environment by learning various policy options tailored to different situations. Moreover, it identifies the conditions under which a switch between these policy options is warranted as the situation evolves. The proposed algorithm is structured in two layers, with the upper layer consisting of policy options that are shared across all agents, and the lower layer comprising intra-option policies executed in a distributed manner. Through experimentation, we showcase the superior spectrum efficiency and communication quality achieved by our approach. Specifically, our approach outperforms the baseline methods in terms of training average reward convergence stability and the transmission success rate. Recently, due to the fast development in multimedia applications of wireless communication systems and demands of increasing the capacity and data rates to meet the requirements of 5G mobile communication systems, new transmission techniques are needed. One of the powerful enabling tools of the 5G communication systems is the multi-input multi-output (MIMO) antenna system employing multiple antennas and utilizing the multipath fading mobile environment to increase the channel capacity without any additional bandwidth and/or transmitted power. However, because of the limited space of mobile devices, the distances between antennas are decreasing. The mutual coupling between antennas severely affects the overall performance of the MIMO system. So, isolation improvement methods are applied to reduce these influences. In this review, different isolation techniques and their features and drawbacks are presented, and the techniques for applying them in modern MIMO antenna systems are illustrated. Besides, the performance characteristics of these MIMO systems are compared. The review also contains basic concepts of the MIMO antenna system and its performance metrics. Spatial Modulation(SM) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) Multi-Mode Index Modulation (MM-OFDM-IM) techniques have significant advantages in Energy Efficiency(EE) and Spectral Efficiency(SE), respectively. The combination of multi-dimensional index modulation technology can apply multiple physical resources to meet the high demand for data transmission and system capacity in wireless communication systems. Therefore, SM and MM-OFDM-IM systems can be flexibly combined to construct an OFDM Multiple Mode Space Frequency Composite Index Modulation (MM-OFDM-SFCIM) based on space frequency combination. This system can retain the silent subcarriers in traditional subcarrier index modulation technique, expanding new composite coefficient dimensions and improving its SE and EE. Aiming at the complex characteristics of this system, this paper proposes a joint detection algorithm EL-REML (REML based on symbolic Energy and LLR) based on symbolic energy and log-likelihood. The simulation results show that the MM-OFDM-SFCIM system achieves about 30% improvement in SE compared to traditional space-frequency combination systems, and the EL-REML algorithm proposed in this system achieves a 3-4 dB improvement in BER (Bit Error Rate) compared to the LLR algorithm. Our study aims to develop more energy-efficient mobile communication systems through the exploration of the 6th generation (6G) technology that is expected to be implemented in 2033. We focus on the impact of device-todevice (D2D) communication on power efficiency, which is a crucial need in this domain. To achieve this, we conducted a pioneering experiment using an in-house testbed and K-means clustering to classify locations as D2D enabled or disabled. Our findings show that there is a dynamic clustering mechanism that enables certain nodes to sustain D2D functionality around temporary base stations, resulting in a remarkable 5% improvement in network lifetime per second. The rapid advancement of technology, alongside state-of-the-art techniques is at an all-time high. However, this unprecedented growth of technological prowess also brings forth potential threats, as oftentimes the security encompassing these technologies is imperfect. A notable flaw lies in the CAN-FD protocol, which lacks robust security measures, making it vulnerable to data theft, injection, replay, and flood data attacks. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive review of the existing in-vehicle communication protocol, CAN-FD. It explores existing security approaches designed to fortify CAN-FD, demonstrating multiple multi-layer solutions that leverage modern techniques including Physical Unclonable Function (PUF), Elliptical Curve Cryptography (ECC), Ethereum Blockchain, and Smart contracts. The paper highlights existing multi-layer security measures that offer minimal overhead, optimal performance, and robust security. Moreover, it identifies areas where these security measures fall short and discusses ongoing research along with suggestions for implementing software and hardware-level modifications. During disasters, swiftly and efficiently evacuating populations in hazardous situations is crucial to minimize losses. This study proposes a novel framework to address dynamic population evacuation (DPE) problems, which includes planning and online evacuation management phases facilitated by vehicular communication. In the planning phase, a shelter allocation problem (SAP) is solved dynamically for destination choice and a dynamic traffic assignment (DTA) for path choice toward the chosen destinations to obtain an initial evacuation plan. The initial plan is then enhanced by employing a vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) within the vehicular edge computing (VEC) architecture. This enhancement enables communication among evacuees, allowing them to revise their vehicle's route choice and planned destination. These revisions take into account the changing risk and traffic conditions. The proposed online DPE framework is applied to the real evacuation scenario of Mill Valley City, CA. The proposed model is evaluated with different VANET architectures, including vehicular cloud computing (VCC) and VEC. The results show that the VEC framework outperforms other configurations and improves the evacuation process compared to the scenario with an initial plan by more than 30% in network clearance time. Mobile visible light communication (VLC) is key for integrating lighting and communication applications in the 6G era, yet there exists a notable gap in experimental research on mobile VLC. In this study, we introduce a mobile VLC system and investigate the impact of mobility speed on communication performance. Leveraging a laser-based light transmitter with a wide coverage, we enable a light fidelity (LiFi) system with a mobile receiving end. The system is capable of supporting distances from 1 m to 4 m without a lens and could maintain a transmission rate of 500 Mbps. The transmission is stable at distances of 1 m and 2 m, but an increase in distance and speed introduces interference to the system, leading to a rise in the Bit Error Rate (BER). Multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) technology is widely used in integrated radar and communication systems (IRCSs). Moreover, index modulation (IM) is a reliable OFDM transmission scheme in the field of communication, which transmits information by arranging several distinguishable constellations. In this paper, we propose a sparse reconstruction-based joint signal processing scheme for integrated MIMO-OFDM-IM systems. Combining the advantages of MIMO and OFDM-IM technologies, the integrated MIMO-OFDM-IM signal design is realized through the reasonable allocation of bits and subcarriers, resulting in better intercarrier interference (ICI) resistance and a higher transmission efficiency. Taking advantage of the sparseness of OFDM-IM, an improved target parameter estimation method based on sparse signal reconstruction is explored to eliminate the influence of empty subcarriers on the matched filtering at the receiver side. In addition, an improved sequential Monte Carlo signal detection method is introduced to realize the efficient detection of communication signals. The simulation results show that the proposed integrated system is 5 dB lower in the peak sidelobe ratio (PSLR) and 1.5 × 10 5 lower in the number of complex multiplications than the latest MIMO-OFDM system and can achieve almost the same parameter estimation performance. The metasurface is a promising technology that can help next-generation wireless communication systems not only improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), but also increase security and mitigate interference. Further, introducing dual polarization (DP) in a metasurface can enhance its capabilities with polarization diversity, polarization multiplexing, and polarization-switched modulation. In this paper, we study a DP-metasurface-assisted single-user wireless communication system and propose a novel scheme that can improve the spectral efficiency (SE) and bit-error-rate (BER) performance compared to those of conventional schemes by exploiting the orthogonal property of dual-polarized waves. We employ the DP metasurface to increase the SNR at the receiver and create a specific phase difference between the polarized signals by controlling the transmit precoder and the phases of the metasurface reflecting elements representing some modulated bits. At the receiver, we use the recovered phase information to realign the modulated symbols in both polarizations, which are then added coherently. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves significantly higher SE and BER performance than those of some closely related works. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
