This investigation delineates the effects of Virtual Reality (VR) educational games on middle school students’ learning outcomes and motivational dynamics within an astronomy context. Utilizing “Physics Lab VR,” a case study approach compared the efficacy of VR learning against traditional classroom methods and tablet-based instruction. Quantitative analyses, encompassing pre-test and post-test measures, were complemented by qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews to assess both the cognitive and affective dimensions of learning. Results indicated that VR significantly enhances students’ understanding of complex astronomical concepts, as evidenced by superior post-test performance in the VR group. Furthermore, VR educational games markedly improved students’ intrinsic motivation by fulfilling psychological needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness more effectively than conventional teaching methods. Despite the positive outcomes, challenges related to the integration of VR in educational settings, including technological accessibility and curriculum alignment, were identified. The study underscores the potential of VR educational games to transform learning experiences by making abstract concepts accessible and engaging, though it also emphasizes the need for comprehensive strategies to overcome implementation barriers. Strategic behavior for self-regulated learning (SRL) is crucial for academic success in L2 writing. Yet little is known about how learners' motivation-related factors develop as their strategic behavior progresses during classroom instruction in L2 writing contexts. Informed by SRL theory, this longitudinal case study adopted multiple assessment approaches to explicating the development trajectories of two Chinese L2 writers' motivational factors relating to expectancy, value, and goal orientation (i.e., self-efficacy, task value, and goal orientations) and strategic behavior in the classroom ecology of self-regulation strategies-based instruction. Participants were one high-proficiency writer and one low-proficiency writer who were enrolled in the self-regulation strategies-based writing course. They voluntarily participated in this study and completed semi-structured interviews and reflective journals at the beginning (T1), the middle (T2), and the end of the instruction (T3). Field notes were used to complement the primary data sources. The qualitative analyses revealed both students' limited understanding of SRL strategies at the initial stage. Their strategic behavior progressed with the social and metacognitive scaffolding at T2, but only the high-proficiency writer sustained active engagement at T3. With different goal orientations and linguistic self-efficacy at the initial stage, both students reported noticeable increases in their intrinsic goal orientation, task value, and self-efficacy in classroom performance at T2 and T3. Their motivational states were also affected by linguistic proficiency, metacognitive scaffolding, and social interactions during the instruction. This study looks at post-detention migration and focuses on the reasons, challenges and solutions for preventing recidivism and ensuring reintegration into society. This research involves an analysis of the factors influencing the intention to emigrate of criminally sanctioned persons in Romania, the differences between the types of crimes and their impact on the desire to leave the country, as well as the causes of external migration, such as unattractive jobs and inadequate income at the level of the family of origin. The results show that people who have committed crimes against a person are more inclined to emigrate compared to those who have committed crimes against property. Unattractive jobs and insufficient income are also significant factors contributing to the decision to emigrate. Work motivation is an important concept in human resources management that refers to the influence exerted by certain factors on employees, determining their positive or negative actions for the performance of work tasks. Starting from theoretical arguments based on the scientific literature, we proposed as the objective of the research the evaluation of the existing stimulation system in the pre-university education system, aimed at sports teachers. The research tried to determine to what extent the needs described by Maslow are motivating factors for sports teachers in the pre-university environment, but also to identify the main specific constraints that the staff face. At the same time, we aimed to investigate the implications of leadership and organizational culture on the level of motivation.

This study explores the complex relationships between various dimensions of eating behavior regulation and their impact on bulimia and food preoccupation using network analysis. The objective was to identify key regulatory mechanisms that influence bulimic behaviors and food-related obsessions. The study analyzed data from 659 participants, recruited via convenience sampling, using scales that measured intrinsic motivation, integrated regulation, identified regulation, introjected regulation, external regulation, amotivation, and bulimia and food preoccupation. Pearson’s correlation analysis revealed significant negative relationships between bulimia and both introjected regulation (r = −0.345, p < 0.001) and external regulation (r = −0.298, p < 0.001). Network analysis highlighted identified regulation and introjected regulation as central nodes with substantial influence over bulimia and food preoccupation, while integrated regulation demonstrated a significant indirect impact. The perception that food is necessary for life and energy, as well as for nourishment, enjoyment, social and cultural relationships, and emotional comfort, was further demonstrated using qualitative thematic analysis. The aforementioned results emphasize the pivotal functions of identified and introjected regulatory mechanisms in shaping conduct associated with food preoccupation and bulimia. According to the study, specific therapies that target these mechanisms may be essential for lowering bulimic symptoms and encouraging better eating practices.

Background: This study aims to explore the psychological effects of chronic exercise on mood and well-being in adults. Methods: A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews with 20 participants from Iran who engage in regular exercise routines for at least six months. Participants ranged in age from 22 to 58 years and represented a variety of occupations and exercise preferences. Data were collected until theoretical saturation was reached and analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key themes and subthemes related to the psychological effects of exercise. Results: The analysis revealed several key themes: psychological benefits, barriers to exercise, motivational factors, and challenges in sustaining exercise. Participants reported significant improvements in mood, self-esteem, emotional resilience, and cognitive functions such as focus and memory. Barriers to exercise included time constraints, physical barriers, lack of motivation, environmental factors, and financial constraints. Motivational factors were primarily health benefits, personal goals, social influence, psychological benefits, and habit formation. Challenges in sustaining exercise included monotony, physical fatigue, balancing life demands, health setbacks, lack of immediate results, and accessibility issues. Conclusion: Regular physical activity is associated with numerous psychological benefits, including improved mood, reduced anxiety, and enhanced cognitive function. However, barriers such as time constraints, lack of motivation, and financial constraints must be addressed to sustain these benefits. Community-based exercise programs, educational support for instructors, and public health campaigns can help overcome these challenges. This study determined that the mathematics performance of the Grade 6 Maguindanaon learner was influenced by motivational factors. It adopted a descriptive-correlation research design with 15 learners and 15 parent participants. The study shared that Grade 6 Maguindanaon learners' academic performance was generally Fair. Pearson R showed that the teacher factor affects academic performance. Parent and Peer factors do not affect their academic performance. Results also showed that the attitude of learners significantly affects their academic performance, but study habits do not. The mean score and standard deviation of each factor are used to assess them and try to understand their motivation level. Among the factors related to teacher behavior, these may prove to be significant. These factors include teachers' demonstration of well-organized lessons and mastery during the presentation (mean=4.46, Std. Dev.=0.51); also, when they show enthusiasm or interest in their subject matter (mean=4.67, Std Dev.= 0.51) plus adjusting instruction method so that it matches the pupils' learning activities (mean = 4.66, Std. Entrepreneurship's evolving role now extends beyond economic realms to encompass broader societal and environmental imperatives. Sustainable entrepreneurship emerges as a linchpin in addressing contemporary challenges, offering innovative solutions that harmonize economic resilience with environmental and social objectives. Yet, the determinants underpinning individuals' intentions towards sustainable entrepreneurship, particularly within the Algerian context, remain underexplored. Keeping this into consideration, our research endeavours to identify the motivational factors influencing the decision to engage in sustainable entrepreneurial activities among students at the Kolea University Pole.

Research so far has overlooked the contribution of students' noncognitive factors to their performance in introductory programming in the context of personalized learning support. This study uses learning analytics to design and implement a Dashboard to understand the contribution of introductory programming students' learning motivation, personality, and class participation factors to their programming performance and provide adaptive support to improve their motivation and persistence. Moreover, this study evaluates the effectiveness and usefulness of the dashboard in two phases: committee evaluation and laypersons evaluation. The evaluation results indicate dashboard's effectiveness in students' better-informed decision-making related to their learning approach. In both phases, the dashboard has been perceived as useful and easy-to-use tool. These findings indicate that the dashboard is perceived as a useful tool for providing timely feedback about non-cognitive factors contributing to students' programming performance. Despite these children's significant psychological challenges and complex socio-cultural currents, Balasore District orphans present a highly vulnerable group. Consequently, it is vital to understand the mechanisms that enable them to develop resilience in the face of adversity, allowing for more targeted and effective intervention. While numerous studies have explored the phenomenon of orphaned children in general, offering various explanations as to the motivational and risk factors' interaction in determining their psychological resilience, little is known about the nuanced wildlife of these associations in culturally-specific regions such as Balasore. How do these factors work in conjunction to determine the overall impact on psychological resilience, and what is the role of gender in this review? The research aimed to investigate the determinants of psychological resilience among Balasore orphans, specifically exploring the interaction between motivational factors, including social networks, education, and community involvement, and risk factors. An additional interest was to explore whether the influence pattern differed significantly among gender groups, offering opportunities for more proportionate and effective intervention. The cross-section survey was conducted, with data collected from over 300 orphans from different orphanages in Balasore. Structured questionnaires were developed and distributed, with confirmatory factor analysis and other multivariate statistical techniques employed in analysis. The studies revealed the significant enhancing impact of motivational factors the psychological and social resources that support the development and life of orphans available through the motivational factors. Use of education, social support, and community involvement was reported as crucial to resilience, with no significant differences in response pattern across gender groups reported. Such results demonstrate that gender-specific approaches may be rather irrelevant in the case of the category of motivational factor under review. Globally, the implications of this study are immense in terms of informing culturallyeffective psychosocial interventions. This study's contribution lies in uncovering the universally applicable motivational factors that enhance resilience and noting a not-so significant impact of gender on their dynamics. The findings from this study inform the broader discourse on the matter and contribute valuable information to the efforts to develop a unifiedintegrated care system for orphans. Despite previous studies on public service motivation among public sector employees, the empirical analysis of the influential contextual conditions that moderate public service motivation's impact on employees' work attitudes remains inadequate. Given these limitations, this study examines public service motivation's effects on public employees' organizational commitment and investigates how Herzberg's hygiene and motivation factors moderate the relationship between these aspects in the context of South Korea's central government. For this, we used the data of 1021 public employees from the Differences in the Values of Different Generations of Public Officials and Organizational Innovation Survey, which the Korea Institute of Public Administration had conducted in 2022. We analyzed the data through hierarchical multiple regression analyses, and the results indicated that public service motivation exerts a positive effect on organizational commitment. Specifically, hygiene factors weaken the positive relationship between public service motivation and organizational commitment, while motivation factors have a moderating effect that strengthens said relationship. These findings suggest that, in order to enhance organizational commitment among motivated public employees, human resource management practices should prioritize motivational factors that can enhance job content, meaning, and autonomy instead of solely focusing on providing monetary incentives or improving external conditions. Educators have incorporated technologies designed to "gamify" or increase the fun and reward of classroom learning, but little is known about how these resources can be employed to create positive learning climates. Informed by self-determination theory (SDT), two experiments investigated a number of strategies teachers can use to frame one such technology, the student response system (SRS), when they use it as an educational tool to enhance its fun and contribution to positive learning environments. Participants (n = 30) in a pilot experiment were randomly assigned to a 2-month experiment that showed that using SRS versus non-technology-based learning increases academic well-being. A primary study (n = 120 students) experimentally manipulated the use of SRS with and without motivational framing strategies that were anticipated to enhance its effects, specifically by employing teamwork, friendly competition between students, and giving students a choice to participate. Results showed that motivational framing strategies enhanced students' need satisfaction for autonomy (sense of choice), competence (sense of efficacy in relation to learning), relatedness (to others in the classroom), and academic well-being (interest and engagement). The objective of this study is to present a tutorial detailing each step of the process of conducting a meta-analysis, which allows, in the end, to propose a theoretical model to understand personal innovation and extrinsic motivational factors and intrinsic in the intention to participate in productivity in the metaverse. The methodological procedures initially located 1011 articles selected from the Web of Science, of which only 33 were selected after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The meta-analysis allowing the combination of data obtained from several individual studies on the same topic. It is, therefore, beneficial for finding solutions to controversial issues that individual studies cannot resolve. In the end, from the meta-analysis, eight articles were selected that were responsible for developing the proposed theoretical model, with nine different constructs that correlate (personal innovation, social influence, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived value, convenience, trust, pleasure and intention to use). The knowledge sharing creates a collaborative environment which contributes to creation of flexibility and meeting demands in supply chain. It guarantees the access of members to external knowledge and overall supply chain improvement in competitive environment. The steel industry as the second "key" and "strategic" industry after oil and petrochemical industry in Iran as one of the important countries in middle-east and due to its importance for development but also due to the characteristics of its cost accounting system is selected as case study. Regarding to, this study aimed to design a comprehensive list containing all knowledge sharing (KS) motivational factors for steel industries supply chain. Thus, a mixed method of qualitative (a three-phase Delphi method) and quantitative (decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory-DEMATEL) has been adopted. At first stage, the 33 motivational factors of KS were identified through literature review. Then using Delphi method, respondents were provided with the findings from the literature to shortlist and merge the factors based on steel industry supply chain features. Due to different theoretical and practical standpoints of views about KS motivators in steel industry supply chain, 30 respondents (experts) participated. The final factors extracted via Delphi method was 15. Then, DEMATEL method was used to find interdependence among factors. At the end, cost accounting system for each factor were asked from knowledge management departments in steel supply chain. The results indicated that majority of the costs in steel industry supply chain is spent in decreasing power and sense of ownership of knowledge, improving culture and expectations, and improving personal contact and interaction, team culture, rewards, strategic thinking, and individual management of time, respectively. Whereas, the results of DEMATEL technique indicated that team culture, power, and sense of ownership of knowledge; personal contact and interaction; trust; culture; and expectations are the 5th high ranking factors. Although there are plenty of techniques used for improving team culture such as community of practice, after action review, Knowledge caf'e, it is not so dominant in cost accounting system. Hopefully, departments consider power and sense of ownership of knowledge more carefully. Managers in steel supply chain pay more attention to cultural issues by having educational courses. Strategic thinking is not among the highest-ranking factors, but there are costs spent for it in steel supply chain which should be pondered upon it. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The importance of volleyball in the field of education and health improvement in the context of modern challenges (including military ones) has acquired a new meaning. The purpose of the article is to analyse the methods of supporting motivation to play volleyball among higher education students against the background of the deployment of Russian aggression as a critical factor. To achieve this goal, a number of scientific methods were used: content analysis of scientific literature, comparative analysis, modelling method. A total of 31 items of literature were selected for analysis. The results show that students are motivated to play volleyball by certain motives. It has been proved that in the global dimension and in times of martial law, patriotism and the desire to represent one's country with dignity are relevant, etc. no less relevant are personal motivators related to the realisation of one's own competitive desires. The conclusions emphasise that in the conditions of military tan, motivation can fall, so an important task for the coaching and teaching team is to constantly search for new methods to support students. Entrepreneurship Development has been among the key thrust areas of economic development, however, still, there lies a paucity of information related to the factors that make people, especially the younger generation become entrepreneurs that lead to the education for sustainable development. The younger generation in this study refers to university students. An attempt has been made through this research paper to ascertain the factors influencing the younger generation to become entrepreneurs. In order to expand on the theory of planned behavior framework and clarify the impact of such support on student entrepreneurial ambition, this study embraced the theory of planned behavior perspective in conjunction with perceived family support. The analysis has been performed on a data set of 221 questionnaires and Structural Equation Modelling has been adopted to avail the results using AMOS software. The findings show that MF (Motivational Factors) and FS (Family Support) have a significant effect on the EI (Entrepreneurial Intentions) of the students. It has also been observed that FS (Family Support) intensifies the association between MF (Motivational Factors) and EI (Entrepreneurial Intentions).

This research investigated the relationship between motivation based on various factors and the academic performance of Junior High School students in Urdaneta City. It assessed students' academic motivational factors, determined academic performance using third-quarter general averages, examined differences in motivational factors and academic performance, and explored their relationship. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational research design. Data was collected through a survey questionnaire from Grade 7 to Grade 10 students in 22 high schools. The questionnaire measured specific motivational factors, namely interest in the subject, desire to achieve, patience, persistence, environment, and facilities. Statistical analyses included means, frequency distributions, single-factor analysis of variance, and Pearson's correlation analysis. Findings showed generally high levels of motivational factors among junior high school students. However, specific attention was needed to environmental and facility-related factors, such as adequate learning spaces, laboratories, and equipment. Academic performance ranged from 81% to 97%, encompassing both low and high achievers. No significant differences in motivational factors and academic performance were found among the four grade levels. However, a moderate to strong positive relationship existed between specific motivational factors and academic performance. These findings enhanced understanding of the relationship between motivation and academic performance among junior high school students, highlighting the importance of addressing specific motivational factors for improved outcomes. Information technology infrastructure (ITI) has gone through an exponential change due to the rapid evolution of digital technologies during the past few years. It is therefore relevant to identify the factors that push organizations towards the adoption of new technologies. This paper considers a specific case study of the higher education institutions (HEI) to present (i) the motivational factors that push HEIs toward the adoption of new technologies, and (ii) the key challenges HEIs face in the adoption of these technologies. The data was gathered after conducting 17 open-ended interviews with practitioners working at HEIs in Finland and Pakistan. Data analysis identified 10 motivational factors and 41 challenges faced by HEI in the adoption of the latest technologies. The study examines the factors influencing students' decisions to pursue accounting certification and their impact on Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification. It focuses on academic, financial, social, and career motivations, investigating their relationships with age, gender, and year level. Utilizing the convergent parallel method with a descriptive correlational approach and stratified random sampling, the research was confined to Aldersgate College, Inc. A survey questionnaire was administered to 115 accountancy students across all year levels. The findings suggest several key insights. Firstly, students aged 19-20, predominantly female, and in their first year exhibit a heightened interest in accounting certification. Financial, social, and career motivations emerge as the most influential factors, with academic motivation following closely behind. Secondly, while significant correlations exist between motivational factors and age/gender, their relationship with year level is comparatively weaker. Notably, motivational factors display a positive association with age and gender, indicating their substantial influence. Conversely, the correlation with year level is marginal, suggesting its limited impact. Consequently, age and gender emerge as more salient variables than year level in driving students' motivation towards CPA certification. These findings have important implications for accounting educators, policymakers, and practitioners who can use them to develop more effective strategies to motivate accounting students towards achieving CPA certification and success in their careers. This study evaluated whether the organisational culture of the country causes a moderating effect on the relationship between motivational factors and knowledge sharing intention (KSI) from the perspective of Toyota managers in Japan and Brazil. The questionnaire applied to Toyota managers, in Brazil (n = 84) and Japan (n = 111) through online access. The data treatment applied structural equation modelling. The results revealed that Brazilian managers attributed higher mean values than the average values of Japanese managers. Analysis of the two samples revealed no significant differences in the structure of the structural equation model through the use of PLS-PM. While for the Brazilian sample only anticipated reciprocal relationship explained KSI, for the Japanese sample, the anticipated reciprocal relationship and sense of self-worth contributed to explaining KSI. Three interactions between the three moderation variables and the three independent variables were significant when analysing the sample of Brazilian managers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Waste picking within the informal sector is essential to solid waste management policy and practice. A healthy number of academic articles have emerged from the practice of waste picking, particularly Ghana, of recent. Nevertheless, a common limitation across many of these articles is the absence of in-depth investigations into the experiences and backgrounds of waste pickers. This study examines the practical aspects of waste picking, uncovering motivational factors that drive individuals to engage in waste picking business and the multifaceted challenges that they encounter. Sixty-one waste pickers were interviewed at the Kumasi Oti Landfill site, and the findings were supplemented with documentary sources and observational data. Through content analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and the relative importance index, our study highlights that despite its necessity for survival, many waste pickers express dissatisfaction and find the waste picking business unpleasant. Additionally, the primary motivational factors for engaging in the waste picking business include lack of jobs, compounded with a lack of general and skilled education as well as social and cultural capital, and the flexibility of the work and family business. Furthermore, our findings underscore the significance of certain challenges, notably low income, health problems and social stigmatisation attached to the work. In light of these findings, it is recommended that government provides socio-economic and social support for waste pickers and facilitate the establishment of cooperatives for waste pickers in the recycling sector. ABSTRACTThe consumer attitudes towards how they participate in the disposal of solid waste products is a crucial concern in Ghana. The attribution theory in social psychology emerged in the literature as a paradigm that seeks to explain the consumer attitudes towards solid waste products disposables that are negative and individualistic. This study estimates the motivational factors to consumer attitudes and unlawful disposal of solid waste products in Bono Region of Ghana. The results indicated the direct path dimensions of the analysed hostile aggression was CoE (−0.103), SE (0.040), CR (−2.547), p (0.011), learned helplessness was CoE (0.112), SE (0.052), CR (−2.133), p (0.033), and beliefs was CoE (0.049), SE (0.049), CR (0.988), p (0.323). Beliefs were not significant. However, hostile aggression and learned helplessness were significantly related to the unlawful disposal of solid waste products. The mediation for advertising message type was EST (0.622), SE (0.038), p (0.000) significant indirect effect towards the unlawful disposal of solid waste products and moderation interaction for existential consumer EST (0.002), SE (0.000), CR (70.939), p (0.000) was significant towards the unlawful disposal of solid waste products. The results suggest that many consumers who throw away solid waste products participate in unlawful disposal practices.

This study looks at post-detention migration and focuses on the reasons, challenges and solutions for preventing recidivism and ensuring reintegration into society. This research involves an analysis of the factors influencing the intention to emigrate of criminally sanctioned persons in Romania, the differences between the types of crimes and their impact on the desire to leave the country, as well as the causes of external migration, such as unattractive jobs and inadequate income at the level of the family of origin. The results show that people who have committed crimes against a person are more inclined to emigrate compared to those who have committed crimes against property. Unattractive jobs and insufficient income are also significant factors contributing to the decision to emigrate. This study proposes solutions to facilitate the reintegration of these people into Romanian society and reduce recidivism rates.

Motivation plays a critical role in project management as it affects team performance, project success, and organizational outcomes. The purpose of the review: to study the impact of motivation on the effectiveness of the project, to determine the main factors influencing the motivation in project management and the types of motivation of the project team, as well as methods for managing motivation in project activities. The review covered 44 articles published between January 2019 and February 2023 in the Scopus database, Web of Science and Google Scholar. Articles were selected based on their relevance to the topic and analyzed through a predetermined set of criteria. The results obtained show that project management motivation is a complex and multifaceted process that includes various levels of analysis, including individual, team and organizational factors. Project managers should focus on creating a motivating environment for team members to increase project success. Moreover, intrinsic motivation is a better predictor of task performance than extrinsic motivation. The conducted systematic review contributes to the understanding of motivation in project management and provides a basis for further research on this topic. The results of this review have important implications for project managers, who can use this knowledge to motivate team members and improve project success. Moreover, more research is needed on the motivation behind traditional and agile project teams.

Our article aims to analyze the main influences, experience and affective involvement that impact the consumer behavior of regional wines in Brazil. We used a descriptive quantitative survey. Our findings contribute to a greater understanding of the behavior of choice related to local experiences and what points are essential to involve the consumer with a product, in this case, wine. The Brazilian wine industry has been dealing with tariff disputes between countries, increased number of producers, reduction in consumption per capita and demand for higher quality wines. Our results show that cultural, social, personal, and psychological factors are crucial in this process.

This inquiry explored the motivational factors and barriers to participation in Professional Development Programmes (PDPs) in Tanzania's higher education institutions. Using a qualitative approach and a purposively selected sample of 26 respondents, the study employed semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation and document review to generate requisite data. The resultant qualitative data was subjected to thematic analysis. The study found that faculty members had both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to participate in PDPs. Intrinsically, they participated in PDPs to develop competencies related to their job performance, especially teaching and research as well coping with technological changes. Extrinsically, faculties participated in PDPs for financial gain from the allowances offered during PDPs. The study also found that enforced PDPs and lack of recognition of PDPs for promotion demotivated faculties and, subsequently affected their future participation in PDPs. Despite scientific and technological changes taking, senior faculties were unmotivated and, hence, reluctant to participate in PDP activities. On the other hand, the study found lack of needs assessment, deficit of funds, disorganised and scarce PDPs were the main barriers to enhanced participation in PDPs. As such, universities in Tanzania should improve the provision of PDPs to motivate more faculties to partake in PDPs to meet university goals. In addition, senior faculty members should participate in PDPs to adapt to changes and learn to work with newer technologies brought by the rapid changes in world due to globalisation instead of just relying on their acquired experiences and tradition. This study examined both donors' personal characteristics and the multidimensional attributes of charitable organizations to illuminate how donation intention is formed. The proposed research model was developed based on the theory of planned behavior, and a total of 291 responses were used for empirical analysis. It was found that both altruistic motivation and egoistic motivation have a positive effect on donors' attitudes toward donation. We further found that donation attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control all have a positive effect on donation intention. Moreover, the results showed three dimensions of trust in charitable organizations—perceived ability, perceived integrity, and perceived benevolence—positively influence donation attitudes and donation intention. This study's approach is significant because it considers both individual aspects and attributes of charitable organizations as factors leading to donation behavior. Virtual communities are essential in contemporary social and organizational domains. Their sustainability is largely propelled by members' contributions, and yet the mechanisms for achieving significant participation remain ambiguous. Grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model, our primary objective is to identify the factors that may predict the intention to participate in a virtual community of practice; secondly, we aim to detect the most influential predictor(s) and the best model. In this paper, we conduct a cross-sectional study with a sample of 114 virtual community participants. Our multiple and weighted regression analyses reveal that technological, personal, and motivational factors sway participation intentions. Nevertheless, a combination of specific factors, interactivity, self-efficacy, and identification, are the most closely related to participation intention. This research offers valuable insights for organizations and community promoters, enhancing member retention and interaction stimulation and thereby constructing sustainable virtual environments through effective community design and management.
