This thesis presents procedures for the transition process of lift-to-cruise aircraft from hover to wingborne flight and back. It derives high- and low-level of human-centered automation concepts that are dissimilar and that enable the execution of the procedures. Furthermore, a method with which the automation functions could be modeled and validated in an abstracted closed-loop environment is introduced., Diese Arbeit stellt Prozeduren für den Übergangsprozess von Lift-to-Cruise-Flugzeugen vom Schwebeflug zum Tragflächenflug und zurück vor. Sie leitet High-Level und Low-Level menschenzentrierter Automatisierungskonzepte ab, die dissimilar sind und die Ausführung der Prozeduren ermöglichen. Weiterhin wird eine Methode vorgestellt, mit der die Automatisierungsfunktionen in einer abstrahierten Closed-Loop-Umgebung modelliert und validiert werden können.

Autopiloten kleiner unbemannter Fluggeräte müssen zunehmende Sicherheitsanforderungen erfüllen, um zum Luftverkehr zugelassen zu werden. Gleichzeitig gilt es, die Einfachheit ihrer Systemarchitekturen zu erhalten. Die vorgestellte Flugbahnregelung ist darauf ausgelegt, die Fähigkeit zum automatischen Fliegen mit minimalen Sensorumfängen zu realisieren und Strategien für Degradation und Redundanz in einfachen Architekturen zu ermöglichen. The proposed flight path control is developed for realizing the ability for automatic flight using minimal sets of sensors and for enabling strategies of degradation and redundancy in simple architectures. Hierzu wurde O.R.C.U.S. entwickelt und angewendet, eine Software, die eine Betriebs-Risikoabschätzung leichter UAS über Deutschland ermöglicht. Dies umfasst die komplette Ereigniskette sowie eine zeit- und ortsabhängige Personenverteilung basierend auf Zensusdaten. Zum Überblick werden aktuelle UAS-Regelungen, Risikomodelle, Luftfahrtorganisationen und Musterprüfung vorgestellt.

The work presents a scalable process implementation for modular, highly-automated model-based development of safety-critical flight-control software based on current standards for airborne software development. Central element is a modular design and code generation process including the respective development rules and artifacts. New software tools support the management of bidirectional traceability between requirements and models as well as the automated build of artifacts and verification of their up-to-dateness, consistency, and completeness., Die Arbeit stellt eine skalierbare Prozessimplementierung für modulare, hochautomatisierte modellbasierte Entwicklung sicherheitskritischer Flugsteuerungssoftware auf Basis aktueller Luftfahrtstandards vor. Zentrales Element ist ein modularer Design- und Codegenerierungsprozess mit Entwicklungsrichtlinien und zugehörigen Artefakten. Neue Softwarewerkzeuge unterstützen die Verwaltung von bidirektionaler Rückverfolgbarkeit zwischen Anforderungen und Modellen sowie die automatisierte Erstellung von Softwareartefakten und deren Überprüfung auf Aktualität, Konsistenz und Vollständigkeit.

Die vorliegende Arbeit behandelt die Erprobung und Entwicklung eines Systems zur Bestimmung des Windes an Bord von Kleinflugzeugen während des Fluges. Die zur Bestimmung des Windes notwendigen Größen werden durch kostengünstige Sensoren in Kombination mit leistungsfähigen Algorithmen bereitgestellt. Der aerodynamische Anstell- und Schiebewinkel wird unter Berücksichtigung flugmechanischer Zusammenhänge aus inertialen Messgrößen, aerodynamischen Modelldaten und Steuerflächenausschlägen ermittelt. Eine hohe Bandbreite wird durch die Verwendung von komplementären Filteralgorithmen sichergestellt. Durch ein integriertes Navigationssystem wird eine genaue Bestimmung der Position, der Geschwindigkeit und der Lage des Luftfahrzeugs erreicht. Diese Daten werden dem Piloten in einer leicht zugänglichen Darstellung visualisiert. Im Rahmen eines ausführlichen Erprobungsprogramms wird die Leistungsfähigkeit des Konzepts demonstriert., In this dissertation a system for on-board wind determination for General Aviation aircraft based on low-cost sensor components is presented. This concept relies on a small number of sensors and provides relevant information for wind determination by an effective combination of measurements and sensor data fusion- and estimation algorithms. The aerodynamic flow angles are estimated using inertial measurements, aerodynamic model information and control surface deflections taking into account flight mechanical relations. A high bandwidth for these values is achieved using complementary filtering algorithms. An integrated navigation system is providing precise data on the position, velocity and attitude of the aircraft. Information provided by this system is displayed to the pilot in a way easily to comprehend. The capabilities of the concept are tested and proven in an extensive test campaign.
