A novel modal analysis methodology, denoted as the physics informed sparsitypromoting dynamic mode decomposition (pi-SPDMD) model, was introduced for the reduction and reconstruction analysis of intricate propeller wake flows, aiming to provide insight into the inherent flow structures spanning diverse temporal and spatial scales. Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) was employed to numerically model the wake dynamics of a four-bladed propeller, providing a comprehensive resolution from the proximate to the distant wake regions. The findings indicate that the pi-SPDMD model enhances the efficiency of the sparse-promoting algorithm, producing modes that gravitate towards stability, and the resulting decomposition maintains commendable physical fidelity. Integrating the results from the LES solution and the modal decomposition of pi-SPDMD, the tip vortex exhibits a uniform topological configuration with notable coherence in the proximate domain. In this region, the large-scale vortex is the dominant feature of the propeller wake, and there is a marked intermittency in the turbulence. In the mid-field, the tip vortex system transitions into fine-scale vortices, rapidly diminishing in coherence due to the onset of elliptic instability and subsequent secondary vortex generation. As the tip vortex structures related to physical quantities become fully discretized, the small-scale turbulent patterns quickly intermingle, leading to a more homogeneous distribution in the distant wake. Background: Previous studies have shown that high level of TILs in invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is associated with poor prognosis, contrary to that in TNBC and HER2-positive breast cancer. Methods: The densities of six immune cell markers and three immune checkpoints in the ILC microenvironment were detected by computational pathology analysis. Then, the LASSO cox regression model was used to construct an immune score (IS) and further evaluate its prognostic value. Results: In our ILC cohort, the low density of CD4, CD8, CD20, CD56, CD68, FOXP3, PD-1, and PD-L1 had significantly longer disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS); however, the low density of CTLA-4 was associated with shorter DFS and OS. Based on this, an IS was constructed, and patients with lowIS had significantly prolonged DFS (p<0.0001) and OS (p<0.0001). Multivariate analysis revealed that IS was an independent prognostic indicator for DFS and OS. Further analysis showed that IS may increase the prognostic value of TNM stage. We further explored the prognostic role of CD68 and FOXP3 in the transcriptional level and the corresponding ISm in the METABRIC dataset, and found that low proportion of CD68 and FOXP3 and their ISm were associated with longer OS, and ISm was also an independent prognostic factor for OS. Information about dynamic head motion is conveyed by a central "striolar" zone of vestibular hair cells and afferent neurons in the inner ear. How vestibular hair cells are tuned to transduce dynamic stimuli at the molecular level is not well understood. Here we take advantage of the differential expression pattern of tmc1, tmc2a, and tmc2b, which encode channel subunits of the mechanotransduction complex in zebrafish vestibular hair cells. To test the role of various combinations of Tmc subunits in transducing dynamic head movements, we measured reflexive eye movements induced by high-frequency stimuli in single versus double tmc mutants. We found that Tmc2a function correlates with the broadest range of frequency sensitivity, whereas Tmc2b mainly contributes to lower-frequency responses. Tmc1, which is largely excluded from the striolar zone, plays a minor role in sensing lower-frequency stimuli. This letter proposes a novel high gain, high efficiency optically transparent Fabry-Perot Cavity antenna operating in millimetre-wave. The antenna employs dual layers of transparent partially reflective surface and a transparent artificial magnetic conductor structure to enhance the gain and gain bandwidth. The reflection amplitude and phase have a low sensitivity to the sheet resistance of the transparent materials, which greatly reduce the requirement for the conductivity of transparent material and simplify the manufacturing process. The size of the antenna is 3.47λ0 × 3.47λ0 × 0.68λ0. A peak gain of 14.2 dBi, peak radiation efficiency of 67.1% and optical transparency of 81% are achieved. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[C. Koch, S. Ullman, Hum. Neurobiol. 4, 219-227 (1985)] proposed a 2D topographical salience map that took feature-map outputs as its input and represented the importance "saliency" of the feature inputs at each location as a real number. The computation on the map, "winner-take-all," was used to predict action priority. We propose that the same or a similar map is used to compute centroid judgments, the center of a cloud of diverse items. [P. Sun, V. Chu, G. Sperling, Atten. Percept. Psychophys. 83, 934-955 (2021)] demonstrated that following a 250-msec exposure of a 24-dot array of 3 intermixed colors, subjects could accurately report the centroid of each dot color, thereby indicating that these subjects had at least three salience maps. Here, we use a postcue, partial-report paradigm to determine how many more salience maps subjects might have. In 11 experiments, subjects viewed 0.3-s flashes of 28 to 32 item arrays composed of M, M = 3,...,8, different features followed by a cue to mouse-click the centroid of items of just the post-cued feature. Ideal detector response analyses show that subjects utilized at least 12 to 17 stimulus items. By determining whether a subject's performance in (M-1)-feature experiments could/could-not predict performance in M-feature experiments, we conclude that one subject has at least 7 and the other two have at least five salience maps. A computational model shows that the primary performance-limiting factors are channel capacity for representing so many concurrently presented groups of items and working-memory capacity for so many computed centroids. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are particularly effective in promoting cartilage regeneration due to their immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and regenerative repair functions of tissues and organs. Meanwhile, the intra-articular delivery and synergy with other therapeutic drugs have been the key issues driving their further application. We report a mussel-inspired multifunctional hydrogel system, which could achieve co-delivery and synergism effect of MSC-derived exosomes (Exos) with icariin (ICA). The ICA and Exos co-delivered articular cavity injection system are expected to retain in the joint cavity and promote cartilage regeneration, due to the thermosensitive, self-healing and adhesion properties of the mussel-inspired multifunctional hydrogel. The experimental results proved that Exos enhanced the cellular uptake of ICA by more than 2-fold evenly, and the synergism of Exos and ICA efficiently improve the cell proliferation and migration. After synergic treatment, the content of matrix metalloproteinase 13 in the supernatant and intracellular decreased by 47% and 59%, respectively. In vivo study, ICA-loaded Exos exhibited prolonged retention behavior by multifunctional hydrogel delivery, thus displayed an increased cartilage protection. Five sesquiterpenoids were isolated from Kalimeris shimadae, of which compounds 1 and 2 were undescribed guaiane-type and eudesmane-type sesquiterpenoids, named kalshinoids G (1) and H (2). Their structures and relative configurations were elucidated based on HR-MS, NMR and chemical calculations. Introduction: To discuss the auxiliary therapeutic effect of buckwheat polysaccharide (BP) on S180 sarcoma. Material and methods: Buckwheat polysaccharide was extracted with water and precipitated with ethanol. Solid tumor and ascites tumor mice models were established. The mice in the high, medium and low dosing groups (n = 24, each group) had their stomachs filled with different doses of BP. The cyclophosphamide (CTX) group and the model group (n = 24, each group) were used as control groups. The influence on the life cycle, the rate of suppressing the tumor, the thymus index, and the spleen index were evaluated. Tumor cells were cultured in vitro and intervened with drugs; flow cytometry was used to detect the changes in the cell cycle. Results: Buckwheat polysaccharide significantly improved the lifespan and survival rate of the mice. The group of mice treated with the medium dose showed the best survival rate when compared to the ones that received high and low doses of BP (p < 0.01). The tumor cells cultured in vitro were arrested in the G0/G1 phase to some extent (p > 0.05). The cyclophosphamide arrested the cycle of the tumor cells in the G2/M period (p < 0.01). Buckwheat polysaccharide could increase the thymus index, spleen index and the rate of suppressing the tumor, but the differences were not statistically significant. Conclusions: Buckwheat polysaccharide had no obvious effect in inhibiting the growth of tumors, but it significantly extended the lifespan, increased the survival rate and reduced the toxic effect of CTX. Virulence genes expressed in Salmonella are a primary contributing factor leading to the high morbidity and mortality of salmonellosis in humans. The pathogenicity of Salmonella is mainly determined by the specific virulence factors that it carries. These factors also confer greater virulence and play a role in infection of a host and transmission of disease, and most Salmonella enterica can cause cross-infections between humans and animals. In this study, 265 samples in total were collected from a farmer’s market and two supermarkets in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, China, including 205 pork samples and 60 chicken samples. The suspected Salmonella isolates were isolated and identified using microbiological and molecular methods, and the confirmed isolates were used for serovar analysis and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. The virulence genes of Salmonella pathogenic islands (SPIs) and Salmonella virulence plasmids (Spv) in Salmonella-positive isolates were subsequently detected. Salmonella was isolated from 29.0% of samples, and all isolates were confirmed by PCR targeting the stn gene. Among the Salmonella isolates, resistance was most frequently observed against ciprofloxacin (84.4%), followed by tetracycline (71.4%) and streptomycin (68.8%). Resistance to amoxicillin–clavulanic acid (6.3%) and aztreonam (5%) was less commonly detected. The presence of the following virulence genes was determined by specific PCRs: hilA (SPI-1), sifA (SPI-2), misL (SPI-3), siiE (SPI-4), sopB (SPI-5), and spvC. The detection rate for SPI-1 to SPI-5 was 93.5, 87.0, 97.4, 97.4, and 97.4%, respectively. In addition, the detection rate of the spvC gene was 96.1%. Except for sopB (94.7%), all isolates of the dominant serovar S. enterica subsp.. enterica serovar Enteritidis contained all virulence genes from SPI-1 to SPI-5. This study demonstrated the epidemiological status of Salmonella in raw meat products in Xuzhou, and the complex antibiotic resistance and high isolation rate of virulence genes observed reveal many potential risks of which the findings presented herein will provide orientation to improve public health safeguards. Neointimal hyperplasia is a complex process after vascular interventions, acute platelet deposition and smooth muscle cell proliferation both contributed to this process. There are still no perfect solutions to solve this problem. Rivaroxaban is a novel anticoagulant that has been widely used in clinic, it has a good pharmacological effects both in vivo and in vitro. Chitosan microparticle rapamycin (MP-rapa) was fabricated, interspaces of polyglycolic acid (PGA) scaffold were used as a reservoir of MP-rapa, and the scaffold was coated with hyaluronic acid rivaroxaban (MP-rapariva). Scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) photographs were taken and water contact angles were measured, rat inferior vena cava (IVC) patch venoplasty model was used; patches were harvested at day 14 and examined by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. SEM photographs showed the microparticles rapamycin were inside the interspace of the scaffold, hyaluronic acid rivaroxaban was also successfully coated onto the surface of the scaffold. There was a thinner neointima, fewer proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) positive cells, fewer macrophages in the MP-rapa and MP-rapa-riva grafts compared to the control PGA graft. The result showed that this scaffold with dual anticoagulation and antiproliferation functions can effectively inhibit venous neointimal hyperplasia, although this is an animal experiment, it showed promising potential clinical application in the future. Icing threatens the safe and stable operation of transmission lines. Accurate prediction of the icing process of conductor can help the work of anti-icing and disaster reduction of transmission lines. Generally, the icing of conductor is accompanied by the torsion process of conductor. Because of the interaction of conductor torsion and icing, there is a big difference of the icing shape and rate between different positions on a transmission line. In order to improve the accuracy of numerical calculation of conductor icing, a dynamic numerical calculation model of conductor icing torsion is established based on hydrodynamics and basic mechanics in this paper. Comprehensively, the model takes the effects of torsion angle and torsion icing shape on the icing process into consideration, including the effects on airflow filed and trajectories of water droplets in the air. Through the simulation, the change law of the torsion angle at different positions of the conductor, the influence characteristics of the conductor torsion on the icing process, and the differences of the icing torsion of conductor under different environmental parameters are analysed. The results show that, compared with the condition without torsion, the collision range of water droplets on the conductor is larger under the torsion condition, the average value of collision efficiency β1 is higher, and the icing rate is faster. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is known to be involved in airway remodeling and fibrosis of bronchial asthma. However, the molecular mechanisms leading to EMT have yet to be fully clarified. The current study was designed to reveal the potential mechanism of microRNA-21 (miR-21) and poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) affecting EMT through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Human bronchial epithelial cells (16HBE cells) were transfected with miR-21 mimics/inhibitors and PARP-1 plasmid/small interfering RNA (siRNA). A dual luciferase reporter assay and biotin-labeled RNA pull-down experiments were conducted to verify the targeting relationship between miR-21 mimics and PARP-1. The migration ability of 16HBE cells was evaluated by Transwell assay. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting experiments were applied to determine the expression of Snail, ZEB1, E-cadherin, N-cadherin, Vimentin, and PARP-1. The effects of the PI3K inhibitor LY294002 on the migration of 16HBE cells and EMT were investigated. Overexpression of miR-21 mimics induced migration and EMT of 16HBE cells, which was significantly inhibited by overexpression of PARP-1. Our findings showed that PARP-1 was a direct target of miR-21, and that miR-21 targeted PARP-1 to promote migration and EMT of 16HBE cells through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Using LY294002 to block PI3K/AKT signaling pathway resulted in a significant reduction in the migration and EMT of 16HBE cells. These results suggest that miR-21 promotes EMT and migration of HBE cells by targeting PARP-1. Brain metastases, including prevalent breast-to-brain metastasis (B2BM), represent an urgent unmet medical need in the care of cancer due to a lack of effective therapies. Immune evasion is essential for cancer cells to metastasize to the brain tissue for brain metastasis. However, the intrinsic genetic circuits that enable cancer cells to avoid immune-mediated killing in the brain microenvironment remain poorly understood. Here, we report that a brain-enriched long noncoding RNA (BMOR) expressed in B2BM cells is required for brain metastasis development and is both necessary and sufficient to drive cancer cells to colonize the brain tissue. Mechanistically, BMOR enables cancer cells to evade immune-mediated killing in the brain microenvironment for the development of brain metastasis by binding and inactivating IRF3. In preclinical brain metastasis murine models, locked nucleic acid-BMOR, a designed silencer targeting BMOR, is effective in suppressing the metastatic colonization of cancer cells in the brain for brain metastasis. Taken together, our study reveals a mechanism underlying B2BM immune evasion during cancer cell metastatic colonization of brain tissue for brain metastasis, where B2BM cells evade immune-mediated killing in the brain micro-environment by acquiring a brain-enriched long noncoding RNA genetic feature. The purpose of this study was to examine factors that form university students' attitudes toward physical education (ATPE), the preference of their physical activities (PA), and correlation features among all related factors that form their ATPE. Participants were 1,386 university students from six universities in China. An Adapted Attitudes Toward Physical Education and Physical Activity Preferences Questionnaire was employed in data collection. Data analyses included a 2 × 2 × 2 MANOVA and correlation analysis. The results revealed the ATPE mean-scores ranking (e.g., No. 1 "keep physically fit and strong" and No. 2 "good posture and sturdy body"). Significant differences exist in ATPE mean scores between genders with males scoring higher than females and between majors with natural science scoring higher than social science. The PA preferences ranking of the students was team sports, weight lifting, individual sports, aerobic exercise, dual-game sports, and martial arts. Parkinson’s disease (PD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative disorders and is characterized by loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra (SN), causing bradykinesia and rest tremors. Although the molecular mechanism of PD is still not fully understood, neuroinflammation has a key role in the damage of dopaminergic neurons. Herein, we found that kurarinone, a unique natural product from Sophora flavescens, alleviated the 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)–induced behavioral deficits and dopaminergic neurotoxicity, including the losses of neurotransmitters and tyrosine hydroxylase (TH)–positive cells (SN and striatum [STR]). Furthermore, kurarinone attenuated the MPTP-mediated neuroinflammation via suppressing the activation of microglia involved in the nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathway. The proteomics result of the solvent-induced protein precipitation and thermal proteome profiling suggest that the soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) enzyme, which is associated with the neuroinflammation of PD, is a promising target of kurarinone. This is supported by the increase of plasma epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (sEH substrates) and the decrease of dihydroxyeicosatrienoic acids (sEH products), and the results of in vitro inhibition kinetics, surface plasmon resonance, and cocrystallization of kurarinone with sEH revealed that this natural compound is an uncompetitive inhibitor. In addition, sEH knockout (KO) attenuated the progression of PD, and sEH KO plus kurarinone did not further reduce the protection of PD in MPTP-induced PD mice. We aimed to identify potential molecular biomarkers through integrated analysis of microbiome and transcriptome data in colon cancer. Microbiome, transcriptome, and clinical phenotype data were downloaded from TCMA and TCGA databases. Intestinal flora subtypes were identified, followed by screening feature genes of each subtype. Univariate and LASSO Cox regression analyses were conducted to identify optimal prognostic genes to establish prognostic model. Survival, clinical phenotypes, pathways, and immune infiltration within different risk groups were compared. Three intestinal flora subtypes were identified: Proteobacteria, Fusobacteria, and Bacteroidetes subtypes. Bacteroidetes subtype tended to have worse survival. Feature genes of Bacteroidetes subtype were mainly implicated in immune-related functional terms, whereas those of Fusobacteria and Proteobacteria subtypes were mainly implicated in functions associated with inflammatory response and transcription, respectively. LASSO Cox regression identified 6 optimal prognostic genes: CSF1R, HLA-DOA, NOS3, HOXB4, PLA1A, and RPL3, to establish prognostic risk model. High-risk patients were associated with worse survival and had high proportions of Bacteroidetes subtype and high immune infiltration. Proteobacteria, Fusobacteria, and Bacteroidetes largely dominated the gut microbial flora in colon cancer patients. Nowadays, with the recent advances of wireless underwater communication and acoustic sensor devices technology, we are witnessing a surge in the exploration and exploitation of the ocean's abundant natural resources. Accordingly, to fulfill the requirements of the exploration of the ocean, researchers have focused their work toward the design of methods and algorithms for the underwater acoustic sensor networks (UASNs). Although considerable research effort has been devoted to the development of a variety of UASN-based applications, very limited work has addressed the algorithmic design and analysis for UASN. To this end, we propose to provide a comprehensive design, development, and analysis of algorithms and protocols for UASNs. We discuss each of the fundamental UASN building blocks, such as (i) underwater acoustic communication channel modeling, (ii) sustainable coverage and target detection, (iii) Medium Access Control (MAC-layer design and time synchronization, (iv) localization algorithms design, and (v) underwater routing protocol. Then, we illustrate the different protocols from each category and compare their benefits and drawbacks. Unreduced gametes (2n gametes), possessing double the haploid genome, whatever ploidy that happens to be, are a common source of ploidy variation in plant populations. First and second division restitution (FDR and SDR) are the dominant mechanisms of 2n gamete production; all else being equal, FDR gametes have a higher degree of heterozygosity, thus they are advantageous in breeding. The discrimination of these mechanisms from the consequence of hybridization is challenging, especially in higher polyploids, and usually requires information on centromere location. In this study, we propose a genotyping-based strategy to uncover the mechanisms of 2n gamete formation in progeny that has a higher ploidy than its parents. Simulation of 2n gamete production revealed that FDR and SDR pathways can be discriminated based on allele transmission patterns alone without information on centromere location. We applied this strategy to study the formation mechanism of a nonaploid Diospyros kaki 'Akiou', which was bred via hybridization between D. kaki hexaploid cultivars. The result demonstrated that 'Akiou' was derived from the fertilization of a normal female gamete by a 2n male gamete and that this 2n gamete was produced through FDR. Consequently, the distinct duplex transmission pattern in the FDR gamete enabled us to infer the genomic characteristics of polyploid persimmon. The method could be tested only for the plant being polypoid, which allows for the ability to discriminate causes of 2n gamete formation using allele dosage in progeny, and will be useful in future studies of polyploid genomics. Background: To investigate the combined effect of hypertension and hyperuricemia to the risk of ischemic stroke in a rural Chinese population.Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted from 2012 to 2013 in a rural area of China. After exclusion for missing data, we finally included 11,731 participants into analysis.Results: After adjusting for age, current smoking, current drinking, BMI, TG, HDL-C and eGFR, hypertension was significantly associated with ischemic stroke in men (OR: 2.783, 95% CI: 1.793, 4.320) and in women (OR: 4.800, 95% CI: 2.945, 7.822). However, hyperuricemia was significantly associated with ischemic stroke only in women (OR: 1.888, 95% CI: 1.244, 2.864). After full adjustment, participants with both hypertension and hyperuricemia had 8.9 times higher risk than those without them. Finally, the interaction between hypertension and hyperuricemia was statistically significant only in women rather than in men after full adjustment.Conclusions: This study demonstrated the positive correlations between hypertension, hyperuricemia and ischemic stroke. Accurately predicting drug-target binding affinity (DTA) is crucial for advancements in drug repositioning. In this paper, we present HBDTA, an innovative predictive methodology that harnesses the capabilities of graph deep learning and multi-layer networks for DTA prediction. The HBDTA approach encompasses a comprehensive framework with three distinct graph neural network (GNN) algorithms: multi-head graph attention networks (Multi-head GAT), generalized aggregation networks (GENConv), and graph convolutional networks (GCNConv) designed to extract drug features. Additionally, we employ a multi-layer bi-directional long short-term memory (MBLSTM) with residual blocks to extract protein features. After deriving feature vectors for drugs and proteins, they independently pass through fully connected layers before integration into a self-attention layer. Subsequently, the resulting feature vectors are concatenated and passed through four layers of fully secured networks to facilitate prediction. Finally, we assess our model's performance on the Davis, KIBA, Metz, and DTC datasets. Comparative analysis against state-of-the-art methodologies, such as DeepGLSTM, DeepNC, and GraphDTA, among others, underscores the effectiveness of HBDTA. Mycoplasma bovis is a major pathogen leading to bovine respiratory disease syndrome. The worldwide prevalence of this pathogen has caused enormous economic losses in the beef industry. Substantial efforts have been made to identify and characterize the surface proteins of M. bovis. However, little is known regarding experimentally proved housekeeping genes, or the distribution and the number of motifs within these genes in M. bovis. We used Picbio SMRT technology of next-generation sequencing for M. bovis Ningxia-1 isolation and applied different tools (Mega X, STRING v11.0, TMHMM v2.0, MOTIF) for bioinformatics analysis. The present study compared M. bovis Ningxia-1 strain with another ten M. bovis strains with sequenced whole genome and identified 24 housekeeping genes in each strain. The phylogenetic tree indicates a close relationship between M. bovis Ningxia-1 with NM2012 based on BLAST results of these genes. Within the 24 housekeeping genes in M. bovis Ningxia-1 stain, 3/24 (12.5%) of the genes have the potential to be used as internal control genes, 2 sets of proteins have interactions which have been proved under experimental and database conditions. MetG is a putative transmembrane protein, while others are predicted to be located outside of the membrane. Additionally, there are 6 common motifs distributed among 7 of the proteins (29.17%). Our bioinformatic analysis is intended to provide new and complementary data in mining and making comparisons of housekeeping genes through M. bovis type strain Ningxia-1 sequencing. SC9-2 is a recombinant Marek’s disease virus (MDV) strain lacking the meq oncogene. Previous study demonstrated that SC9-2 virus provides good protection against challenge with a very virulent MDV rMd5, but it induces immunosuppressive effects in specific pathogen-free (SPF) chickens. In the present study, SC9-2 was serially passaged on chicken embryo fibroblast (CEF) cell cultures. The pathogenicity and immune efficacy of SC9-2/10th and SC9-2/40th against rMd5 were evaluated. Animal experimental results showed that SC9-2/10th and SC9-2/40th showed no lethality or tumorigenicity in SPF chickens. Body weight of chickens inoculated with SC9-2/40th were significantly higher than that of the chickens inoculated with SC9-2/10th but lower than that of the uninoculated controls. The severity of bursa and thymus atrophy (BTA) and spleen enlargement in SC9-2/40th-inoculated chickens were also weaker than the SC9-2/10th-inoculated ones but stronger than the uninoculated controls. Chickens inoculated with SC9-2/40th and SC9-2/10th showed similar antibody levels induced by H9N2 subtype avian influenza virus/Newcastle disease virus inactivated vaccines, both of which were lower than the uninoculated controls. Replication of SC9-2/40th was significantly lower than SC9-2/10th in feather follicle epithelium (FFE) of infected chickens. The immune protection index of SC9-2/40th was also lower than that of SC9-2/10th, but the difference was not significantly, and both of which were significant higher than that of the commercial MDV vaccine CVI988/Rispens. The results of our studies demonstrated that SC9-2/40th showed weaker severity of BTA, spleen enlargement, and body weight loss and lower replication level in FFE than SC9-2/10th in SPF chickens. However, SC9-2/40th was able to confer better immune protection as compared with CVI988/Rispens vaccination in SPF chickens. In conclusion, serially attenuation of SC9-2 in CEFs reduced the lymphoid organ atrophy and replication in SPF chickens, and the immune protective efficacy of attenuated viruses was still superior than CVI988/Rispens. To evaluate effects of physical stress on physiological and non-specific immune parameters in Epinephelus moara, levels of cortisol, glucose, lactic acid in serum, as well as malondialdehyde (MDA), Alkaline phosphatase (AKP), acid phosphatase (ACP) and lysozyme (LZM) activities in liver were examined. Plasma cortisol levels increased significantly to peak levels at the first day in stressed individuals. Moreover, those levels were significantly higher with respect to control (P<0.05). Concentrations of glucose in serum has only a slight increase at the first day when subjected to stress (P>0.05). The levels of lactic acid, activity of ACP and AKP increased and significantly peaked during treatment; then, all of them dropped to the levels of control groups at the end of treatment. The concentration of LZM and MDA in liver had a significant increase and peaked during treatment; then it began to drop, and finally recovered to the level of control groups. The results indicate that E. moara presented significant physiological and immune responses when subjected to a repeated physical stressor. Also, cortisol and MDA changes could be used as bio-indicators for monitoring stress. The present study provides basic information for improved rearing and feeding protocols in this species. Cellular quiescence, a reversible state in which growth, proliferation, and other cellular activities are arrested, is important for self-renewal, differentiation, development, regeneration, and stress resistance. However, the physiological mechanisms underlying cellular quiescence remain largely unknown. In the present study, we used embryos of the crustacean Artemia in the diapause stage, in which these embryos remain quiescent for prolonged periods, as a model to explore the relationship between cell-membrane potential (Vmem) and quiescence. We found that Vmem is hyperpolarized and that the intracellular chloride concentration is high in diapause embryos, whereas Vmem is depolarized and intracellular chloride concentration is reduced in postdiapause embryos and during further embryonic development. We identified and characterized the chloride ion channel protein cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) of Artemia (Ar-CFTR) and found that its expression is silenced in quiescent cells of Artemia diapause embryos but remains constant in all other embryonic stages. Ar-CFTR knockdown and GlyH-101-mediated chemical inhibition of Ar-CFTR produced diapause embryos having a high Vmem and intracellular chloride concentration, whereas control Artemia embryos released free-swimming nauplius larvae. Transcriptome analysis of embryos at different developmental stages revealed that proliferation, differentiation, and metabolism are suppressed in diapause embryos and restored in postdiapause embryos. Combined with RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) of GlyH-101-treated MCF-7 breast cancer cells, these analyses revealed that CFTR inhibition down-regulates the Wnt and Aurora Kinase A (AURKA) signaling pathways and upregulates the p53 signaling pathway. The modular multilevel converter (MMC) has become a promising topology for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems. To control a MMC system properly, the ac-side current, circulating current and submodule (SM) capacitor voltage are taken into consideration. This paper proposes a low-computation indirect model predictive control (IMPC) strategy that takes advantages of the conventional MPC and has no weighting factors. The cost function and duty cycle are introduced to minimize the tracking error of the ac-side current and to eliminate the circulating current. An optimized merge sort (OMS) algorithm is applied to keep the SM capacitor voltages balanced. The proposed IMPC strategy effectively reduces the controller complexity and computational burden. In this paper, a discrete-time mathematical model of a MMC system is developed and the duty ratio of switching state is designed. In addition, a simulation of an eleven-level MMC system based on MATLAB/Simulink and a five-level experimental setup are built to evaluate the feasibility and performance of the proposed low-computation IMPC strategy. Grouping is a perceptual process in which a subset of stimulus components (a group) is selected for a subsequent--typically implicit--perceptual computation. Grouping is a critical precursor to segmenting objects from the background and ultimately to object recognition. Here, we study grouping by color. We present subjects with 300-ms exposures of 12 dots colored with the same but unknown identical color interspersed among 14 dots of seven different colors. To indicate grouping, subjects point-click the remembered centroid ("center of gravity") of the set of homogeneous dots, of heterogeneous dots, or of all dots. Subjects accurately judge all of these centroids. Furthermore, after a single stimulus exposure, subjects can judge both the heterogeneous and homogeneous centroids, that is, subjects simultaneously group by similarity and by dissimilarity. The centroid paradigm reveals the relative weight of each dot among targets and distractors to the underlying grouping process, offering a more detailed, quantitative description of grouping than was previously possible. A change detection experiment reveals that conscious memory contains less than two dots and their locations, whereas an ideal detector would have to perfectly process at least 15 of 26 dots to match the subjects' centroid judgments--indicating an extraordinary capacity for preconscious grouping. A different color set yielded identical results. Grouping theories that rely on predefined feature maps would fail to explain these results. In this paper, the Langmuir-Hinshelwood (L-H) model has been used to investigate the kinetics of photodegradation of gaseous benzene by nitrogen-doped TiO2 (N-TiO2) at 25 °C under visible light irradiation. Experimental results show that the photoreaction coefficient kpm increased from 3.992 x 10-6 mol·kg-1·s-1 to 11.55 x 10-6 mol·kg-1·s-1 along with increasing illumination intensity. However, the adsorption equilibrium constant KL decreased from 1139 to 597 m³·smol-1 when the illumination intensity increased from 36.7 x 104 lx to 75.1 x 104 lx, whereas it was 2761 m³·mol-1 in the absence of light. This is contrary to the fact that KL should be a constant if the temperature was fixed. This phenomenon can be attributed to the breaking of the adsorption-desorption equilibrium by photocatalytically decomposition. To compensate for the disequilibrium of the adsorption-desorption process, photoreaction coefficient kpm was introduced to the expression of KL and the compensation form was denoted as Km. KL is an indicator of the adsorption capacity of TiO2 while Km is only an indicator of the coverage ratio of TiO2 surface. Microspeaker modules within mobile phones need to be smaller to offer competitive acoustic performance. Generally, a microspeaker module consists of a speaker unit and an enclosure. Typically, microspeaker module design focuses on miniaturization of either the speaker unit or the enclosure individually, using the other part of the module as a design constraint. However, it is difficult to maintain suitable acoustic performance when the total volume (sum of the back volume and the speaker unit) is significantly reduced. We adopted an integrated design method to overcome this issue. The electromagnetic characteristics of microspeaker were analyzed using the finite element method (FEM). According to the FEM, the average axial electromagnetic force per current increased 29%, and the total volume decreased 31% for the integrated design, as compared to the conventional design while maintaining the same perfect acoustic characteristics. The simulation results indicated that the module resonance frequency and sound pressure level are maintained in the integrated design. The natural cracking of crude oils in deep reservoirs has gained great interest due to continuously increasing depth of petroleum exploration and exploitation. Complex oil compositions and surroundings as well as complicated geological evolutions make oil cracking in nature much more complex than industrial pyrolysis. So far, numerous studies, focused on this topic, have made considerable progress although there still exist some drawbacks. However, a comprehensive review on crude oil cracking is yet to be conducted. This article systematically reviews the controlling factors of oil cracking from six aspects, namely, oil compositions, temperature and time, pressure, water, minerals and solid organic matter. We compare previous experimental and modelling results and present new field cases. In the following, we evaluate the prevailing estimation methods for the extent of oil cracking, and elucidate other factors that may interfere with the application of these estimation methods. Swietenia is a genus in the plant family Meliaceae. This genus contains seven to eight known species, found in the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas and West Africa. Thus far, more than 160 limonoids have been isolated from four species of the genus Swietenia. Limonoids are rich in structure type and biological activity, and these compounds are the main active components in the Swietenia species. Background: Corneal endothelial dysfunction causes severe impairment of vision. The only solution is corneal transplantation. However, this treatment is hampered by a worldwide shortage of donor corneas. New therapies may replace the conventional donor corneal transplantation alongside the developments in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, but sufficient functional corneal endothelial cells (CECs) are essential. The aim of this study was to promote the expansion and function of human corneal endothelial cells (HCECs) in vitro and in vivo. Methods: The phenotypes of human orbital adipose-derived stem cells (OASCs) were detected by flow cytometry and immunofluorescence. HCECs were isolated and cultured using a conditioned medium obtained from OASCs (OASC-CM) in vitro. Related cell markers of HCECs were analyzed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), Western blot, and immunofluorescence. The cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay and the wound healing assay were performed to evaluate the proliferation ability of the cells. The cultured HCECs were then transplanted into rabbit and monkey corneal endothelial dysfunction models by cell injection. Results: CD29, CD105, CD49e, CD166, and vimentin were highly expressed in cultured human OASCs. The CEC-relative markers zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1), Na+/K+ ATPase, N-cadherin, Col8a2, and SLC4A4 were expressed in HCECs cultured by OASC-CM. The HCECs were able to maintain polygonal cell morphology and good proliferative capacity. In animal experiments, corneal transparency was achieved after the injection of HCECs, which demonstrated the good repair capacity of the cells. Conclusions: The proliferation abilities of the cells were significantly enhanced, and related functional markers were strongly positive, while HCEC morphology was maintained using OASC-CM. HCECs obtained some stem cell-like properties. This preclinical study confirmed the therapeutic ability of the HCECs in vivo. Metal halide perovskites are newcomer optoelectronic materials that have attracted enormous attention and single crystal offers better stability and optical electronic performance. In this background, a lead-free, air-stable, effective material of bismuth halide perovskite is highly sought-after. Herein, millimeter-scale single-crystal A 3 Bi 2 I 9 (A = Cs + or methylammonium (MA + )) perovskites were synthesized via a facile hydrothermal approach and characterized by various means. Raman spectroscopy results in a layered cleavage distribution. Spin-coating of these compounds produced thin films with uniform surface morphologies, high carrier mobility and superior stabilities. Trivalent-bismuth-based materials were used as the photoactive layer in solution-processed heterojunction solar cell devices, which is a conceptual beneficial exploration and yield power conversion efficiencies of ~ 0.2%. Nd was used as the modifier to improve the NH3-selective catalytic reduction (SCR) performance of MnNOx catalyst used in NNOx abatement. The results of the activity test indicated that MnNdNOx-0.1 catalyst displayed remarkable catalytic activity and N2 selectivity in the temperature range of 50-300 °C. Characterization results proved the enhanced reducibility and the facilitated NH3 and NNOx adsorption over MnNdNOx-0.1 catalyst, accompanied by the existence of more Mn4+ and surface adsorbed oxygen species over its surface. The results of the in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform study pointed out that the NH3-SCR reaction over the MnNdNOx-0.1 catalyst was mainly under the control of the Langmuir-Hinshelwood mechanism (≤100 °C); when the reaction temperature was over 200 °C, the Eley-Rideal mechanism was dominant. More adsorbed NNOx and NH3 species over the MnNdNOx-0.1 catalyst, along with the activation effect of Nd on the adsorbed reactants, had a facilitation impact on the SCR reaction process over the MnNdNOx-0.1 catalyst. In large autopsy series, the estimated frequency of primary tumors of the heart ranges from 0.0017% to 0.33%. Approximately 25% of primary cardiac tumors are malignant, and nearly 20% of these are sarcomas. To date, a completely feasible surgical resection remains the major treatment measure of cardiac sarcoma, especially for recurrent focal cardiac sarcoma and the recurrence of a restrictive metastasis. Although characteristically medical treatments are recommended, there is no consistent opinion for adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy following an operation. Since these tumors usually undergo extensive spread by the time that the diagnosis is established, the prognosis of cardiac sarcoma remains poor. In this report, we described a case who underwent initial cardiac tumor resection, and was confirmed to be a pleomorphic undifferentiated sarcoma based on pathological findings. However, the patient complicated with cerebral infarction and subsequent brain metastasis sarcoma after the initial surgery, which was confirmed by brain tissue pathology. During the course of therapy, the patient underwent three surgical operations and refused to accept any chemotherapy and radiotherapy intervention. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case report describing a primary cardiac sarcoma complicated with cerebral infarction and brain metastasis. As technology scales, negative bias temperature instability (NBTI) becomes one of the primary failure mechanisms for Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) circuits. Meanwhile, the leakage power increases dramatically as the supply/threshold voltage continues to scale down. These two issues pose severe reliability problems for complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) devices. Because both the NBTI and leakage are dependent on the input vector of the circuit, we present an input vector control (IVC) method based on a linear programming algorithm, which can co-optimize circuit aging and power dissipation simultaneously. In addition, our proposed IVC method is combined with the supply voltage assignment technique to further reduce delay degradation and leakage power. Accurate information acquisition is of vital importance for wireless sensor array network (WSAN) direction of arrival (DOA) estimation. However, due to the lossy nature of low-power wireless links, data loss, especially block data loss induced by adopting a large packet size, has a catastrophic effect on DOA estimation performance in WSAN. In this paper, we propose a double-layer compressive sensing (CS) framework to eliminate the hazards of block data loss, to achieve high accuracy and efficient DOA estimation. In addition to modeling the random packet loss during transmission as a passive CS process, an active CS procedure is introduced at each array sensor to further enhance the robustness of transmission. Furthermore, to avoid the error propagation from signal recovery to DOA estimation in conventional methods, we propose a direct DOA estimation technique under the double-layer CS framework. Leveraging a joint frequency and spatial domain sparse representation of the sensor array data, the fusion center (FC) can directly obtain the DOA estimation results according to the received data packets, skipping the phase of signal recovery. Extensive simulations demonstrate that the double-layer CS framework can eliminate the adverse effects induced by block data loss and yield a superior DOA estimation performance in WSAN. Gardenia jasminoides is a plant that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine. It has four key active components (genipin gentiobioside, geniposide, crocin 1 and crocin 2). The aim of the present study was to determine the anti‑hypertension effects of Gardenia jasminoidesin vivo. The chemical composition of Gardenia jasminoides was determined using liquid chromatography. The anti‑hypertensive effects of Gardenia jasminoides were determined by a L‑NG‑nitroarginine (L‑NNA)‑induced hypertension animal model. Both Gardenia jasminoides plants of the Jiangjin County variety (CJGJ) and the Lichuan City variety (HLGJ) were used. HLGJ contained more geniposide than CJGJ. L‑NNA was used to induce hypertension in mice, and the mice were subsequently treated with CJGJ and HLGJ. The Gardenia jasminoides‑treated mice exhibited lower systolic (SBP), diastolic (DBP) and mean blood pressure (MBP) than the experimental control mice. Additionally, HLGL has a more potent effect on SBP, MBP and DBP than CJGJ. Following Gardenia jasminoides treatment, the nitric oxide contents in serum, heart, liver, kidney and stomach of mice were higher than the L‑NNA‑induced control mice, and the malondialdehyde contents were lower; the levels in HLGJ‑treated mice were closer to those normal mice than the levels in CJGJ‑treated mice were. Serum levels of endothelin‑1 and vascular endothelial growth factor were reduced by HLGJ treatment in hypertensive mice, whereas the calcitonin gene‑related peptide level was raised. Reverse transcription‑polymerase chain reaction analysis of mouse heart and vessel tissue demonstrated that HLGJ‑treated mice exhibited higher heme oxygenase‑1, neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), endothelial NOS, Bax, caspase‑3, caspase‑8, caspase‑9 mRNA expression levels and lower adrenomedullin, receptor activity modifying protein, interleukin‑1β, tumor necrosis factor‑α, inducible NOS, Bcl‑2, monocyte chemoattractant protein‑1, nuclear factor‑κB and matrix metalloproteinase‑2 and ‑9 mRNA expression compared with control hypertensive mice and CJGJ‑treated mice. The properties of the time domain parameters of vibration signals have been extensively studied for the fault diagnosis of rolling element bearings (REBs). Parameters like kurtosis and Envelope Harmonic-to-Noise Ratio are the most widely applied in this field and some important progress has been made. However, since only one-sided information is contained in these parameters, problems still exist in practice when the signals collected are of complicated structure and/or contaminated by strong background noises. A new parameter, named Shock Pulse Index (SPI), is proposed in this paper. It integrates the mutual advantages of both the parameters mentioned above and can help effectively identify fault-related impulse components under conditions of interference of strong background noises, unrelated harmonic components and random impulses. The SPI optimizes the parameters of Maximum Correlated Kurtosis Deconvolution (MCKD), which is used to filter the signals under consideration. Finally, the transient information of interest contained in the filtered signal can be highlighted through demodulation with the Teager Energy Operator (TEO). Fault-related impulse components can therefore be extracted accurately. Simulations show the SPI can correctly indicate the fault impulses under the influence of strong background noises, other harmonic components and aperiodic impulse and experiment analyses verify the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed method. As the most straightforward synthetic strategy for cyclic polymers in theory, the traditional homodifunctional bimolecular ring-closure methods showed limited success for preparing pure cyclic polymers in practice even after several decades of development. A breakthrough was achieved in this paper to develop a successful homodifunctional bimolecular ring-closure method using a self-accelerating double strain-promoted azide-alkyne click reaction as the intermolecular and subsequent intramolecular coupling reactions. Because of the self-accelerating property of coupling reaction, this novel approach eliminated the usage of equimolar quantities between telechelic polymers and small molecule linkers, which was the prerequisite of traditional homodifunctional bimolecular ring-closure methods for pure cyclic polymers. More importantly, this approach could use an excess amount of small linkers to increase the intermolecular coupling reaction rate, further resulting in a significantly enhanced preparation efficiency of cyclic polymers. Promising treatments are being developed to promote functional recovery after spinal cord injury (SCI). Magnetic resonance imaging, specifically Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) has been shown to non-invasively measure both axonal and myelin integrity following traumatic brain and SCI. A novel data-driven model-selection algorithm known as Diffusion Basis Spectrum Imaging (DBSI) has been proposed to more accurately delineate white matter injury. The objective of this study was to investigate whether DTI/DBSI changes that extend to level of the cerebral peduncle and internal capsule following a SCI could be correlated with clinical function. A prospective non-randomized cohort of 23 patients with chronic spinal cord injuries and 17 control subjects underwent cranial diffusion weighted imaging, followed by whole brain DTI and DBSI computations. Region-based analyses were performed on cerebral peduncle and internal capsule. Three subgroups of patients were included in the region-based analysis. Tract-Based Spatial Statistics (TBSS) was also applied to allow whole-brain white matter analysis between controls and all patients. Functional assessments were made using International Standards for Neurological Classification of Spinal Cord Injury (ISNCSCI) as modified by the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) Scale. Whole brain white matter analysis using TBSS finds no statistical difference between controls and all patients. Only cervical ASIA A/B patients in cerebral peduncle showed differences from controls in DTI and DBSI results with region-based analysis. Cervical ASIA A/B SCI patients had higher levels of axonal injury and edema/tissue loss as measured by DBSI at the level of the cerebral peduncle. DTI Fractional Anisotropy (FA), Axial Diffusivity (AD) and Radial Diffusivity (RD) was able to detect differences in cervical ASIA A/B patients, but were non-specific to pathologies. Increased water fraction indicated by DBSI non-restricted isotropic diffusion fraction in the cerebral peduncle, explains the simultaneously increased DTI AD and DTI RD values. Our results further demonstrate the utility of DTI to detect disruption in axonal integrity in white matter, yet a clear shortcoming in differentiating true axonal injury from inflammation/tissue loss. Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) refers to several physical and mental symptoms (such as irritability) commonly encountered in clinical gynaecology. The incidence of PMS has been increasing, attracting greater attention from medical fields. However, PMS pathogenesis remains unclear. This study employed two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2DE) for proteomic map analysis of the hypothalamus and hippocampus of rat models of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) irritability. Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation time of flight mass spectroscopy (MALDI-TOF-MS) was used to identify proteins possibly related with PMS irritability. Baixiangdan, a traditional Chinesemedicine effective against PMS irritability, was used in the rat model to study putative target proteins of thismedicine. The hypothalamus and hippocampus of each group modelling PMS displayed the following features: decreased expression of Ulip2, tubulin beta chain 15, α actin, and interleukin 1 receptor accessory protein; increased expression of kappa-B motif-binding phosphoprotein; decreased expression of hydrolase at the end of ubiquitin carboxy, albumin, and aldolase protein; and increased expression of M2 pyruvate kinase, panthenol-cytochrome C reductase core protein I, and calcium-binding protein. Contrasting with previous studies, the current study identified new proteins related to PMS irritability. Context: Dendrobium candidum (D.candimum) widely is a functional drug. The curative effect of D. candidum on lupus nephritis has been studied in vivo. Materials and Method: The DBA/2 and B6D2F1 mice were used for this in vivo experiment. The 50% effective dose (ED50) was used to check the effective concentration for this study. Then the SCr, BUN, TC, TG, IL-6, IL-12, TNF-α, and IFN-γ levels were determined by kits. The output of urine protein was determined by means of Coomassie Brilliant Blue, and the auto-antibody dsDNA was determined with titer plate technology and indirect immunofluorescence. The NF-κB, IκB-α, TGF-β1, Fas, and FasL expressions were measured by RT-PCR and western blot assay. The component analysis of D. candidum was determined by nuclear magnetic resonance. Results: Based on the ED50 result at 329 mg/kg, 200 and 400 mg/kg doses were chosen for this study. SCr, BUN, TC and TG levels of 400 mg/kg D. candidum mice were lower than control mice, TP and ALB levels were higher than control mice. The control and 400 mg/kg treated mice tested positive for dsDNA at the end of sixth and tenth week after the experiment began. The glomerular number of 400 mg/kg treated mice was more than control group. Treatment with 400 mg/kg D. candidum reduced IL-6, IL-12, TNF-α and IFN-γcytokine levels as compared to control mice. D. candidum decreased NF-κb, TGF-β1, Fas, FasL and increased IκB-α expressions in kidney tissue. There were 11 compounds in dry D. candidum, these compounds might make the curative effects of lupus nephritis. Conclusion: D. candidum showed a potential curative effect on lupus nephritis. A Rh(III)-catalyzed annulation between salicylaldehydes and diazo compounds with controllable chemoselectivity is described. AgNTf2 favored benzofurans via a tandem C-H activation/decarbonylation/annulation process, while AcOH led to chromones through a C-H activation/annulation pathway. The reaction exhibited good functional group tolerance and scalability. Moreover, only a single regioisomer of benzofuran was obtained due to the in situ decarbonylation orientation effect. This paper proposes a decoupling design approach for a free-piston linear generator (FPLG) constituted of three key components, including a combustion chamber, a linear generator and a gas spring serving as rebounding device. The approach is based on the distribution of the system power and efficiency, which provides a theoretical design method from the viewpoint of the overall power and efficiency demands. The energy flow and conversion processes of the FPLG are analyzed, and the power and efficiency demands of the thermal-mechanical and mechanical-electrical energy conversion are confirmed. The energy and efficiency distributions of the expansion and compression strokes within a single stable operation cycle are analyzed and determined. Detailed design methodologies of crucial geometric dimensions and operational parameters of each key component are described. The current study was designed to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of salidroside (SDS) and the underlying mechanism by using lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages in vitro and a mouse model of binge drinking-induced liver injury in vivo. SDS downregulated protein expression of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and CD14. SDS inhibited LPS-triggered phosphorylation of LPS-activated kinase 1 (TAK1), p38, c-Jun terminal kinase (JNK), and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK). Degradation of IκB-α and nuclear translocation of nuclear factor (NF)-κB were effectively blocked by SDS. SDS concentration-dependently suppressed LPS mediated inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) protein levels, as well as their downstream products, NO. SDS significantly inhibited protein secretion and mRNA expression of of interleukin (IL)-1β and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α. Additionally C57BL/6 mice were orally administrated SDS for continuous 5 days, followed by three gavages of ethanol every 30 min. Alcohol binge drinking caused the increasing of hepatic lipid accumulation and serum transaminases levels. SDS pretreatment significantly alleviated liver inflammatory changes and serum transaminases levels. Further investigation indicated that SDS markedly decreased protein level of IL-1β in serum. Taken together, these data implied that SDS inhibits liver inflammation both in vitro and in vivo, and may be a promising candidate for the treatment of inflammatory liver injury.
