The challenges of energy transitions, as reflected in current energy-sector research agendas, call for greater multi-, inter-, and transdisciplinarity, with particular emphasis on greater contribution from the social sciences. While recommendations abound on how to strengthen the role of the social sciences in energy-sector research, there is little empirical evidence on how the attitudes of energy-sector professionals might facilitate or constrain such interaction. This article helps to fill the gap by presenting the results of an exploratory survey into how nuclear-sector professionals in Spain perceive the potential role of the social sciences in this sector. The large majority of the respondents had little experience of collaboration with social scientists, and the tradition of interdisciplinarity remains weak in this sector. For many professionals, enhancing public acceptance of nuclear energy is the main potential function of the social sciences. Although the road towards true interdisciplinarity is still long, the surveyed Spanish professionals showed true interest in greater openness, dialogue, and inclusion of the social sciences, and believed in the possibility of breaking the structural inertia that they saw as one of the obstacles to cross-disciplinary collaboration in the sector. According to the surveyed professionals, social scientists could play a useful role as organisers of deliberative interdisciplinary processes. However, the portrayal by some of the surveyed professionals of social scientists as biased and anti-nuclear calls for self-reflection among social science scholars. Future research should expand the number of countries analysed, and could usefully explore cross-country differences in the opinions of nuclear-sector professionals, by applying representative sampling methods.

RESUMEN El objetivo de este TFM es conocer la opinión de los alumnos que han cursado el Máster en Formación del Profesorado de Enseñanza Secundaria, en la especialidad de Matemáticas, sobre la formación recibida y el grado de cumplimiento de sus expectativas. Se entrevistaron a 19 estudiantes después de haber cursado todas las asignaturas del master, a falta de completar su TFM. Los resultados muestran que los alumnos que cursan el máster tienen altas expectativas respecto a lo que esperan aprender sobre conocimiento pedagógico del contenido, pero se muestran desencantados con los resultados alcanzados. Están muy interesados en una formación instrumental y lo que más valoran son las prácticas en los centros educativos. Los resultados pretenden mostrar las opiniones de los futuros profesores de Secundaria sobre la organización y contenidos del máster, de forma que se puedan mejorar elementos claves como el conocimiento del contenido y el conocimiento pedagógico del contenido. ABSTRACT This study aims to know pre-service teachers’ expectations and perceptions about the training received during their Master's Course in Teacher Training for Secondary Education, in the field of Mathematics. 19 students were interviewed after having taken all subjects, and before submitting their master thesis. The results show that the students had high expectations before begging the master, and such expectations were not always fulfilled. They were rather interested in instrumental training and what they value the most were the internships in the educational centres. The results are intended to show the opinions of future secondary school teachers on the organization and contents of the master's degree, and conclude that key elements of the teaching training such as content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge can be improved. The research examines the level of student satisfaction with quality of services of university. Quality of service is measured by the five dimensions namely Tangible, Reliability, responsiveness, Assurance and Empathy. The data used in this research is primary data therefore this research using a questioner. Distributed questioner to students as many as 80 active academic year 2014/2015. Successfully complete questionnaires and return as many as 80 questionnaires. Measuring the level of satisfaction by asking the perceptions and expectations of students against five dimensions of quality. In general, the results showed that the research feel quite satisfied with the service quality dimensions, but there are several indicators in the dimensions that should be of concern GBSB organizers to create better satisfaction.

[Resumen] Dentro de las tendencias post-modernas, el turismo cinematográfico concita el interés de los actores turísticos (Kim, S. 2012; Beeton, S. 2005; Connell J. 2012; Croy G. 2010; Roesch, 2009; Seaton, P. y Yamamura, T. 2015). Desde la perspectiva de género y tipo de film, las películas animadas no han sido consideradas a pesar de evidentes similitudes con las no animadas. Además, existen asociaciones entre audiencias, películas, percepciones y la gestión turística, debido al efecto de las mismas en términos de emociones, valores de producción, género cinematográfico y destinos. También, por el gran potencial en relación a la penetración de mercado, acceso, consumo de producciones cinematográficas y desarrollo de productos turísticos innovadores. El presente estudio explora el impacto del film animado Rio en las percepciones y expectativas turísticas, donde potenciales turistas sin previa experiencia en turismo en Rio de Janeiro, fueron entrevistados antes y después de ver el film. Las particularidades generales de las películas animadas fueron estimadas como influyentes en los impactos generales en percepciones, pero no fueron evaluadas. Finalmente el estudio propone y pone a prueba una metodología alternativa cualitativa y cuantitativa que puede ser replicada con otras películas animadas que retraten otros destinos y además sugiere enfoques cuantitativos más elaborados [Abstract] Within the post-modern tourism trends, increases the interest of tourist representatives on the subject of film tourism, from the perspective of gender and type of film, however; animated films have not been considered despite obvious similarities with non-animated films. There are associations in the audience, between films and perceptions as well as in tourism management, due to the effect in terms of emotions, values of production, gender and type of film, and above all; films have great potential in regard to consumption, access and market introduction. This study explores the impact of animated film River in tourist perceptions and expectations, where potential tourists without prior experience in Rio de Janeiro were interviewed before and after enjoying the animated film. The animated film was influential in general perceptions but impact was not measured. Finally, the study proposes and tests a qualitative alternative methodology to be replicated with other animated films that portray other destinations and suggests quantitative approaches.

All over the world, companies realized that gay has an monetary power and make up a new market which only involves gay orientated projects and campaignes. In Europe gays have % 6 percentage in total population and they also keep in reserve % 10 part of tourism. When we give thought to these percentages, it could be said that gay tourism market can be an important source for Turkey. The aim of this study was to display gay men's tourism perspectives and their tourism expectations. For this reason, a questionnaire applied to 71 gay men in Istanbul by using snowball sampling. To analize the data SPSS for Windows 11.00 is used. Analysis results show that, gay men prefer destinations where they can feel themselves free, wouldn’t encounter with prejudicial behavior and find high service quality. Also, the other finding was that gay men ready to pay high payment for quality.

A Dissertation Submitted in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Award of Degree of Masters in Business Administration in Healthcare Management The demand for effective healthcare within the Kenyan population has continued to rise making it hard for the government to provide sufficient health care services. Despite the on-going reform effort, the majority of the people in many counties still have limited access to quality health services. Living in the world of information and technology, patients are now more aware of their needs and rights. Health is a social good and needs public participation, including proper allocation of resources responding to public needs. In order for the health sector to meet the given public needs, it needs to change in line with the changing needs of the customers, this can only be met if these needs are determined by use of the surveys which ensure that the healthy sector offer quality services. The objective of this study was to determine the differences between patients’ and employees’ perceptions and expectations of quality of customer service in an outpatient department in 3 public Kiambu County hospitals, Kenya. The study was conducted in Kiambu County. SPSS (version 20) was used to analyze the study’s data. Basic descriptive statistics was done. The data was analyzed through percentages, frequencies, mean, standard deviation and Chi-Square test and the findings were presented in tables, graphs and narratives for easy comparisons and understanding to the readers. The study revealed that there is difference in patients and employees’ perception of quality of service at the hospitals. Patients don’t expect much from the treatment facilities though hospital staff perceives these facilities to affect the quality of service offered to a great extent. Both patients and employees’ opinion on the effect of customer care related factors on service quality are moderate. Patients in public hospitals don’t expect much of customer care services from the employees hence they perceive it as affecting service quality to moderate extent. Patients view the effect of medical care related factors on service quality as moderate while employees view it as very great. Patients appreciate medical care while employees view it as not enough. The study recommends that the county government of Kiambu should strive to improve quality of patient service in all hospitals under their management. This can be enhanced through provision of physical facilities in order enhance patient satisfaction. Periodic assessments should be consistently carried out to determine the physical state of each hospital and appropriate measures taken as per the report, the county government needs also to ensure consistent supply of basic hospital amenities in order to enhance the quality of health care provision. Patients should also be sensitized on the kind of customer service to expect from public hospitals.
