Last year, the number of traffic accidents declined to 3.66 lakh,the lowest level in the last 20 years. The guidelines may also be used to investigate common accident sites, and appropriate security improvements can be implemented to prevent accidents and, as a result, enhance thecity's traffic safety. In general, association rule mining can generate many weak rules; thus, the study first devised a technique for calculating the minimum Support value of training parameters, then proposed a method for extracting strong rules automatically. The experiment results revealed that the strategies provided in the research are successful. As a result, an automatic modelling technique based on association rules was developed to help promote the successful use of association rule mining in intelligent transportation systems.

Gingival repigmentation is an inevitable hindrance among different procedures accepted for gingival depigmentation. To overcome this, there is a need for the procedure that can delay the duration of reappearance of pigmentation. A number of studies using herbal extracts with antioxidant property shown to have anti melanogenic effect. In the present in - vitro study, we investigated the effect of banana stem and flower extracts on melanocytes, as Banana stem and flower are rich in polyphenols and flavonoids, which are potent antioxidants. The melanocytes were exposed to ethanolic extract of banana stem and flower at 2 concentrations (100 μgm, 150 μgm) for 72 h. The cellular melanin contents were measured using Bradford assay which depicted the reduction in the melanin content and Resazurin assay was used for assessment of cell viability showed no significant cytotoxic effect of banana stem and flower on the cells. The cells exposed to higher concentration (150 μgm) of banana stem and flower showed significant reduction in melanin content. Flower extract showed better reduction in the melanin content. Based on these results both banana flower and stem can be tried as potent gingival depigmenting agent.

Aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of varying the size of indenter, speed of indenter and thickness of nano-coating on hardness and dislocations. The dislocation mechanism, common neighbour analysis in Cu-Ni, is analysed by changing the distinctive parameters of indentation using molecular dynamics simulation approach. Overall indentation impact and mechanisms are studied with indentation velocity, indenter radius, and Nickel layer thickness. The embedded atom method based potential is used to describe the interaction between atoms. From the analysis it was seen that by applying varying thickness of nano-coating of nickel over a copper substrate, the hardness value increases corresponding with force as the thickness of nickel coating increases. Cu-50Ni is having more value of harness, which is 43% higher than pure Copper. The total length of dislocations for Cu-50Ni was 5% and 20% less than Copper and Cu-20Ni, respectively, determined by dislocation analysis at full load. From varying loading rate analysis, is was found that hardness value for Cu-Ni bilayer with loading rate of 1.5 A/ps is maximum compared to other loading rates and is 7.40% and 36% more than Cu and Cu-Ni at a loading rate of 0.5 A/ps, respectively. Then from by varying indenter radius, it was seen that the hardness value decreases with an increase in indenter radius. The hardness value of Cu-Ni with an indenter radius of 30 A is 31% and 30% more than Cu and Cu-Ni with an indenter radius of 50 A, respectively. The total length of dislocations for Cu-50Ni was 37% and 25% less than Cu and Cu-Ni with an indenter radius of 50 A, which was determined by dislocation analysis at full load.

OBJECTIVE: The use of a surgical microscope in periodontal plastic surgeries enhances the visual perception and illuminates the surgical field leading to precise incisions and adaptation of the flap resulting in aesthetically acceptable root coverage. Hence, the aim of the study was to compare and evaluate the clinical outcome of conventional and microsurgical approaches in the management of isolated gingival recession using a de-epithelialized gingival graft. MATERIAL AND METHODS: 24 patients exhibiting either Miller Class I or II recession were treated using coronally advanced flap with de-epithelialized gingival graft. 12 patients were managed using conventional technique and other 12 patients under surgical microscope. Clinical parameters included gingival index, plaque index, probing depth, recession depth, width of keratinized gingiva, and gingival thickness were measured at baseline and 4 months post-operatively. Visual analog scale for pain was recorded on day 3, 5 and 7 and wound healing index was recorded on 3rd and 5th day. Root surface area covered was analysed using ImageJ software. RESULTS: Both the groups demonstrated clinically significant improvements in terms of clinical parameters from baseline. There was a statistically significant reduction in pain on the 3rd and 5th day in the microsurgical group compared to the conventional group. The microsurgical group showed a significant improvement in healing on 3rd day than the conventional group. CONCLUSION: Within the limits of this study, it can be concluded that the use of magnifying tools like surgical microscope along with microsurgical instruments and sutures aids in aesthetically accepted outcomes with less post-operative morbidity. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Use of magnification tools aid in precise handling of the tissue and better healing. Introduction: Most common benign breast conditions presenting in the breast clinics include fibroadenomas and mastalgia, both these conditions cause considerable anxiety in the patients. Among other treatment modalities, the hormonal drug treatments are gaining popularity. Ormeloxifene (centchroman) is an antiestrogenic drug which is shown to have effect in reducing the pain in mastalgia patients and the size of fibroadenoma. Objectives: Ormeloxifene is selective antiestrogen and a nonsteroidal drug. It has a discerning antiestrogen action and hence is useful for the treatment of mastalgia and multiple small fibroadenomas. Hence, the objective of our study was to assess the effect of Ormeloxifene (centchroman) on multiple fibroadenoma and mastalgia. Materials and Methods: Patients with benign breast disease attending our surgery outpatient department from June 2016 to July 2017. Patients were started on Ormeloxifene 30 mg on alternate days for a period of 3 months. Patients were followed up to 6 months after the inception of the study. Parameters recorded include the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) for pain and ultrasonography for breast lump size. Results: Thirty patients were included in the study. We found very good response in the mastalgia; the VAS scores in these patients dropped from 10 to 3 in 90% in the 1st week of introduction of the drug, and at the end of 1 month, almost all of the patients were painless. Overall final response was noted in terms of complete dissolution and change in the size was noted in 34% partial response in 46 %, no changes in 17 % and increase in size of fibroadenoma was noted in only one case. Conclusion: Novex is proved to be safe drug for the treatment of mastalgia and fibroadenoma. Its results were great in mastalgia group. At the end of 6 months, the number of surgeries (if needed) decrease and there is considerable improvement in the patient satisfaction rate.

Additive Manufacturing (AM) which is also known as 3D printing is radical approach of manufacturing highly accurate components with polymers, metals and composites. It builds products by adding material layer by layer. Due to its capability of producing any complex shape with help of a 3D CAD model, it is gaining huge importance and significance in industrial sector. It has applications in manufacturing, medical, automobile, aerospace, construction, product development and many other sectors. Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is one of the widely used such AM process to build polymer components of simple to intricate shapes. To enhance the performance of FDM, it is very essential to have a proper set of input parameters like the layer thickness, infill %, infill pattern, temperature, printing speed and other parameters. In this investigation Multi-objective optimization paradigm to optimize process parameters of FDM for printing of Polylactic Acid (PLA) components is presented. Infill patterns, infill %, printing speed and layer thickness are the parameters used for investigation. Infill pattern is the process parameter of main focus in this investigation. Surface roughness, Printing time and Filament length consumed are responses used for analysis. Triangles pattern, infill % of 70%, printing speed of 100 mm/h and layer thickness of 0.2 mm are the optimum parameters for this investigation.

Organophosphorus Compounds (OPCs) are used as pesticides to control pest, as chemical weapons in military conflict and unfortunately in the terrorist attack. These compounds are irreversible inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase, resulting in the accumulation of acetylcholine that leads to severe health complications which may be ended with the death of the victim. Current antidotes used for reactivation of organophosphorus inhibited acetylcholinesterase (OP-AChE) are not able to cross the blood-brain barrier efficiently, therefore being incapable to reactivate OP-AChE of the central nervous system. Due to limitations with current antidotes, there is an urgent need for new effective antidotes that could be included in the treatment regimen of OP poisoning. In this direction, comprehensive work has been done to improve the permeability of existing antidotes using a variety of strategies that include synthesis of oxime bonded to peripheral site binding moiety via an alkyl, aryl, or heteroatom-containing linker, synthesis of sugar oximes, and prodrug of 2-PAM, incorporating fluorine and chlorine in the structure of charged oximes. Other classes of compounds such as the mannich base, N-substituted hydroxyimino acetamide, alkylating agents, have been investigated for reactivation of OP-AChE. This review comprises the development of various classes of reactivators with the aim of either enhancing blood-brain permeability of existing antidotes or discovering a new class of reactivators.

Background: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are very commonly prescribed worldwide. Due to this, the incidence of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) to NSAIDs is increased. Aims and Objectives: This study aims to analyze the ADRs reported to NSAIDs. Patient demographics, organ system affected severity of ADRs, and their causal association with the drug will be studied. Materials and Methods: It was a retrospective analysis of ADRs reported to oral NSAIDs and its combinations over a period of 5 years from January 2015 to December 2020. Prior ethics committee approval was obtained. These ADRs were collected as part of pharmacovigilance activities. Results: A total of 100 ADRs were reported due to NSAIDs. Most ADRs due to NSAIDs were reported in 30–39 years age group. Female gender was most affected by ADRs. Diclofenac was the most common NSAID causing ADRs. Skin and subcutaneous organ system was most affected. Six ADRs were reported as serious. Sixty-seven ADRs were categorized as probable using the World Health Organization causality assessment scale. Conclusion: NSAIDs are commonly prescribed drugs. Analyzing the ADRs reported to NSAIDs will help in finding the risk factors. Based on this knowledge, rational prescription of NSAIDs can be done which will improve the patient safety.

To evaluate the additional effect of a single session of antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) on the tongue as an adjunct to scaling and root planing (SRP) on most common volatile sulfur-producing microbes such as Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg), Treponema denticola (Td) and Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn) on 3rd, 7th and 14th day postoperatively using RT-PCR analysis.Twenty-four patients of either sex, presented with moderate to severe malodor, detected by a portable breath checker (Tanita®) were considered for the study and assigned to group AB. Scaling and root planning was performed in both the groups, followed by photodynamic therapy on the tongue surface in group A. One percent methylene blue photosensitizer was applied on the middle and posterior thirds of the dorsum of the tongue and irradiated in continuous mode at six different points for 90 s at each point.A significant reduction in Halimeter scores throughout the study period was observed. A significant reduction in the tongue coating score on 3rd and 7th day and the total count of Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg) and Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn) on 7th and 14th day was seen in group A (p ≤ 0.05). However, the mean reduction in Treponema denticola (Td) was non-significant in both the groups but a greater fall in the total count was seen in group A compared to group B on all the days (p ≥ 0.05).Within the limitations of the study, it was concluded that photodynamic therapy on the tongue along with scaling and root planing was effective in the reduction of malodour and the total count of bacteria responsible for the same. Long-term clinical trials are required to further substantiate the effectiveness of this technique.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder affecting many women in their child-bearing age groups. It leads to sterility and various kinds of disorders in women. The main signs of this disease are uneven mensuration cycle, obesity, oily skin, pimples, anxiety disorders. An estimated one in five women suffers from PCOS. It is seen that most women overlook the common indication of PCOS and visit the doctor only when they face difficulty conceiving. If not diagnosed in time, the condition can cause serious health issues. To overcome this problem this paper proposes to develop an application for the early prediction of PCOS using Machine Learning techniques. The required dataset is created by carrying a survey and is cleaned using Python and Google Colab. Gini importance is used to compute feature importance. Classification of PCOS is done using various machine learning techniques such as K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN), Naive Bayes, Decision Tree Classifier, Support Vector Machine(SVM), Logistic Regression(LR). Based on the accuracy and confusion matrix, the Decision Tree Classifier was found to be the most accurate model for PCOS prediction. A mobile application was developed which helps the user to predict PCOS at an early stage.

Herein, we describe the electrophilic substitution reaction of indole with aldehydes and ketone using sulphonic acid functional group containing chitosan for the synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes. The reaction is chemoselective affording a product from aldehydes and indole. The catalyst can be reused up to three times without great loss in yields. Hence, chitosan–SO3H (CTSA) proved to be a heterogeneous, efficient, chemoselective, and reusable catalyst for the synthesis of bis(indolyl)methane derivatives.

An efficient synthesis of biologically important benzylidene-indolin-2-one derivatives using meglumine as green catalyst and ethanol:water as reaction media at 78°C has been developed. The effects of reaction conditions such as solvents, temperature, and amount of catalyst were investigated. The present methodology offers many advantages such as simple procedure, less time taking to complete the reaction, high yield of products, and clean reaction profile.

In the fields, it is commonly observed that fenugreek plants are not growing to their maturity in the vicinity of TrianthemaportlacastrumL. In this context, the present study was conducted in the laboratory to observe allelopathic interaction between Trianthemaand fenugreek. Aqueous extracts of seed, stem and leaf of Trianthemawere made. Treatment of these aqueous extracts was given to fenugreek seeds. Germination study was performed by using Petri plates. All the experiments were performed in triplicates. Pre-treatment of aqueous extracts of seed, stem and leaf of Trianthema. had caused a decline in germination percentage, fresh weight, radical and coleoptile length of fenugreek seeds when compared to untreated seeds. At the same time, mean germination time was found to be more in pre-treated seeds compared to control seeds. After 24 hrs of treatment, the enzymatic study was performed. Enzymes from antioxidant metabolism such as peroxidase, ascorbate peroxidase, superoxide dismutase and activity of DPPH was reduced in treated seeds than control seeds. The activity of catalase was increased after treatment of leachates. All the data is graphically presented with the standard deviation. Exogenous treatment of aqueous extracts of Trianthemahas caused variation in saponin content of fenugreek seeds. This observation was recorded by using finger prints of HPTLC. Finger prints showed that content of saponin was also declined in treated seeds as compared to control. All these observations indicate the strong negative influence of Trianthemaon growth and metabolism of fenugreek.

Phyllodes tumor accounts for less than 1% of all breast neoplasms. These tumors are fast growing masses arising from the periductal stromal cells of the breast. We report a case of phyllodes in a 25 year old primigravida who presented to us at 18 weeks of pregnancy with mass of right breast which appeared 15 days back. She gave history of some mass in right breast for which she was operated 1 year back for which no details or papers were available. On examination there was a tumor in Right breast of about 20x15x11 cm size.ANC examination showed uterus of 18 wks size, FHS 140/min, regular. Patient underwent FNAC and biopsy from the mass which was suggestive of malignant Phyllodes tumor. Patient was prepared for mastectomy and along with surgical team right mastectomy with right axillary lymph node dissection was done. Post-operative period was uneventful. Histopathological examination showed increased cellularity and nuclear atypia suggestive of malignant phyllodes tumour and lymph nodes were negative. We concluded that accurate preoperative pathological diagnosis is very important for management of phyllodes tumor, and allows correct surgical planning and avoidance of reoperation.

Power dissipation mainly occurs due to leakage currents of different forms such as Sub threshold & Gate leakage etc. The main reason for data loss in Flip Flop is leakage current so we need to reduce leakage current in Flip Flop. This work mainly aims at the design of Low power Retentive TSPC Flip Flop with improved Self Controllable Voltage Level circuits. The performance of proposed FF is compared with c2mos M-S FF, Topologically Compressed FF, and recently proposed retentive TSPC FF. It is shown that both the delay time and power consumption are reduced considerably in the proposed Retentive TSPC FF.

Management of biomedical waste is a great challenge in developed and developing countries. Violation of ownership rights and verifying the integrity of the digital content can be significantly improved by the watermarking approaches. Watermarking algorithms embed additional information for verifying the authenticity and trustworthiness. Security and privacy of medical data in the form of image or other 1-D signals are of prime importance and has become an emerging area in the field of biomedical information technology. Biomedical image watermarking algorithms enable transmission of medical records and patient history in a secure way. The aim of this book chapter is to propose a new watermarking approach using a transform domain for medical image security. Riesz wavelet transform (RWT) and singular value decomposition (SVD) is employed for embedding the watermarking in the cover medical image at the transmitter side. At the receiver, the embedded information is recovered successfully using the watermarking extraction algorithm. The RWT-SVD algorithm is tested on different types of medical images like X-ray, CT scan, MRI and retinal images. The watermark is extracted at the receiver without the original image. Imperceptibility evaluation using several metrics (SNR, PSNR, WPSNR, SSIM, MSSIM, SC) shows the improved performance of the proposed approach. In addition to this, robustness analysis is also carried in terms of correlation coefficient.
