Objective: To explore the effect of zhenwu decoction combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy on malignant characteristics of cancer cells in ovarian cancer. Methods: A total of 80 patients with ovarian cancer who underwent surgical treatment in this hospital between March 2015 and January 2017 were divided into the control group (n=42) who received preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy and the zhenwu decoction group (n=38) who received preoperative zhenwu decoction combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Intraoperative ovarian cancer tissue was kept to detect the expression of proliferation genes, invasion genes and autophagy genes through fluorescence quantitative PCR method. Results: Proliferation genes AKT, LSD1, SIRT1 and NOB1 mRNA expression in ovarian lesion tissue of zhenwu decoction group were lower than those of control group; invasion gene DACT1 mRNA expression was higher than that of control group whereas MTA1 and GRP78 mRNA expression were lower than those of control group; autophagy gene Beclin1 mRNA expression was higher than that of control group whereas LC3-Ⅱ and Atg5 mRNA expression were lower than those of control group. Conclusion: Preoperative zhenwu decoction combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy can effectively inhibit the proliferation and invasion activity of tumor cells and regulate their autophagy function in patients with ovarian cancer.

Objective: To discuss the value of serum hk10 and DJ-1 levels in patients with ovarian cancer for evaluating the malignant biology of tumor. Methods: A total of 80 patients with ovarian cancer who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital between August 2015 and February 2018 were selected as ovarian cancer group, and 67 patients with ovarian cyst were selected as ovarian cyst group. The differences in the levels of hk10 and DJ-1 in preoperative serum as well as the expression of ovarian cancer-related proliferation genes and invasion genes in intraoperative lesion tissue were compared between the two groups. Correlation analysis was used to assess the inner link of serum hk10 and DJ-1 levels with tumor malignancy in patients with ovarian cancer. Results: Serum hk10 and DJ-1 levels of ovarian cancer group were higher than those of ovarian cyst group; proliferation genes Clusterin, FUNDC1, AKT, TNFAIP8 and HBXIP mRNA expression in lesion tissues were higher than those of ovarian cyst group; invasion genes Beclin1, BRMS1 and SIRT2 mRNA expression in lesion tissues were lower than those of ovarian cyst group whereas EFEMP1 mRNA expression was higher than that of ovarian cyst group. The Pearson test showed that serum hk10 and DJ-1 levels in ovarian cancer were directly correlated with the expression of proliferation genes and invasion genes. Conclusion: hk10 and DJ-1 are highly expressed in serum of patients with ovarian cancer, and their levels are directly correlated with the proliferation and invasion activity of cancer cells.

Objective: To investigate the correlation of Runt-related transcription factor 2 (RunX2) with proliferation genes, tumor suppressor genes and angiogenesis molecules in colon cancer lesions. Methods: A total of 90 patients with primary colon cancer were enrolled in colon cancer group, 68 patients with benign colon polyps were enrolled in colon polyps group, the differences in the expression levels of RunX2, proliferation genes, tumor suppressor genes and angiogenesis molecules in the two groups of lesions were compared, and Pearson test was further used to evaluate the correlation of RunX2 expression level with proliferation gene, tumor suppressor gene and angiogenesis molecule expression levels in colon cancer tissues. Results: RunX2 mRNA expression level in the lesions of colon cancer group was higher than that of colon polyps group. Proliferation genes GTPBP4, HOXB7, ZNF331, ADAM17 and HSP60 mRNA expression levels in the lesions of colon cancer group were higher than those of colon polyps group; tumor suppressor genes ATF3, FOXN3, OTUD1 and NDRG2 mRNA expression levels were lower than those of colon polyps group; angiogenesis molecules Musashi 1, NF-κB, RegⅣ and STAT3 mRNA expression levels were higher than those of colon polyps group. RunX2 mRNA expression level in the colon cancer lesions was directly correlated with the expression levels of the above proliferation genes, tumor suppressor genes and angiogenesis molecules. Conclusion: RunX2 expression is abnormally high in colon cancer lesions, the specific expression level is positively correlated with cancer cell proliferation activity and angiogenesis activity, and it is an important molecular target that can lead to the occurrence and development of colon cancer.

Objective: To investigate the correlation of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI parameters of uterine sarcoma with sarcoma cell proliferation and invasion in lesions. Methods: A total of 38 patients with uterine sarcoma undergoing surgical treatment in this hospital between August 2015 and June 2017 were selected as uterine sarcoma group, and 50 patients with uterine fibroids undergoing surgical treatment in this hospital during the same period were selected as uterine fibroids group. The differences in dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI parameter levels as well as the expression of proliferation and invasion-related genes in lesion tissue were compared between the two groups of patients. Pearson test was used to assess the internal relationship between dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI parameters of uterine sarcoma and sarcoma cell malignancy. Results: The ADC and TTP levels in uterine sarcoma group were lower than those in uterine fibroids group; AgNOR, KIT and c-kit mRNA expression in the lesion tissue of uterine sarcoma group were higher than those of uterine fibroids group whereas PTEN mRNA expression was lower than that of uterine fibroids group; HOXA10 and Dickkopf mRNA expression in the lesion tissue of uterine sarcoma group were lower than those of uterine myoma group whereas Matriptase, PDGFα and PRL-3 mRNA expression were higher than those of uterine fibroids group. Correlation analysis showed that the ADC and TTP levels in patients with uterine sarcoma were directly correlated with the expression of proliferation genes and invasion genes in the lesion tissue. Conclusion: Dynamic contrastenhanced MRI parameters of uterine sarcoma are significantly different from those of benign uterine fibroids, and the specific parameter levels are directly correlated with tumor cell proliferation and invasion activity.

Objective: To investigate the effects of different chemotherapy regimens before radical operation for lung cancer on cancer cell growth and antitumor immune response. Methods: A total of 180 patients with primary lung cancer who underwent surgery in this hospital between February 2013 and August 2017 were divided into the cisplatin group (n=93) who received cisplatin & paclitaxel chemotherapy and the lobaplatin group (n=87) who received lobaplatin & paclitaxel chemotherapy according to different preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy regimens. The differences among the expression of proliferation genes and apoptosis genes in tumor tissues as well as the contents of Th1/Th2 cytokines in serum were compared between the two groups. Results: Proliferation genes DDX17, GPx1, MACC1, RACK1 and SIRT1 mRNA expression levels in tumor tissue of lobaplatin group were lower than those of cisplatin group whereas LRRC3B mRNA expression level was higher than that of cisplatin group; apoptosis gene Fas, FasL and Caspase-3 mRNA expression levels were higher than those of cisplatin group whereas Survivin and Bcl-2 mRNA expression levels were lower than those of cisplatin group; serum Th1 cytokines IFN-γ and IL-12 contents were higher than those of cisplatin group whereas Th2 cytokines IL-5 and IL-10 contents were lower than those of cisplatin group. Conclusion: Lobaplatin chemotherapy before radical operation for lung cancer is more effective than cisplatin chemotherapy to inhibit the proliferation activity and enhance the apoptosis activity of lung cancer cells and optimize the anti-tumor immune response.

Objective: To investigate the metastin expression in the placenta tissue of preeclampsia and its effect on the trophoblast cell proliferation and apoptosis. Methods: A total of 80 puerperae with preeclampsia who gave birth in this hospital between September 2014 and December 2016 were collected as observation group and 50 normal puerperae who gave birth in the hospital during the same period were collected as normal control group. The metastin protein expression as well as the trophoblast cell proliferation and apoptosis gene expression in placenta tissue were compared between the two groups of puerperae, and Pearson test was used to evaluate the metastin expression in the placenta tissue of preeclampsia and its effect on the trophoblast cell proliferation and apoptosis. Results: Metastin protein expression in the placenta tissue of observation group was significantly higher than that of normal control group. Trophoblast cell proliferation genes Notch1 and HLA-G mRNA expression in the placenta tissue of observation group were lower than those of normal control group whereas PHLDA2 mRNA expression was higher than that of normal control group; apoptosis genes bcl-2 mRNA expression was lower than that of control group whereas bax, Fas and caspase-3 mRNA expression were higher than those of normal control group. Pearson test showed that metastin protein expression in the placenta tissue of puerperae with preeclampsia was directly correlated with the trophoblast cell proliferation and apoptosis gene expression. Conclusion: There is abnormally high metastin protein expression in placenta tissue of puerperae with preeclampsia, and it can directly affect the proliferation and apoptosis process of trophoblast cells.

Objective: To investigate the regulating effect of Vav1 and ADAM8 on the proliferation and invasion of cancer cells in gastric cancer. Methods: A total of 98 patients with primary gastric cancer who were admitted to the hospital between March 2015 and May 2017 received radical operation for gastric cancer, and the gastric cancer lesions and adjacent normal tissue samples were collected during the operation. The differences in the expression of Vav1, ADAM8, cancer cell proliferation-related genes and cancer cell invasion-related genes in them were compared. Pearson test was used to evaluate the correlation of Vav1 and ADAM8 gene expression with cancer cell viability in gastric cancer lesions. Results: Vav1 and ADAM8 mRNA expression in gastric cancer tissue were higher than those in adjacent tissue; proliferation-related genes EZH2, PIK3CD, Wnt10A and MTA1 mRNA expression were higher than those in adjacent tissue; invasion-related genes MDM2, RAGE and Tiam1 mRNA expression were higher than those in adjacent tissue whereas SOX7 mRNA expression was lower than that in adjacent tissue. The Pearson test showed that the Vav1 and ADAM8 gene expression in gastric cancer tissues were directly correlated with the expression of proliferation-related genes and invasionrelated genes. Conclusion: Vav1 and ADAM8 expression increase abnormally in gastric cancer and can positively regulate the proliferation and invasion activity of cancer cells.

Objective: To explore the value of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI for evaluating the cell proliferation, angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis in lung cancer. Methods: A total of 519 patients with pulmonary nodules who underwent surgical treatment in the hospital between August 2016 and October 2017 were divided into NSCLC group (n=410) and benign lesion group (n=109) according to postoperative pathological results. The differences in the levels of preoperative dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI parameters of the lesions as well as the expression of proliferation genes, angiogenesis-related genes and lymphangiogenesis-related genes in the lesion tissue were compared between the two groups. Pearson test was used to evaluate the correlation between dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI parameter levels of the lesions and tumor cell malignancy in patients with NSCLC. Results: Dynamic contrastenhanced MRI parameters Ktrans and Kep levels in lesions of NSCLC group were higher than those of benign lesion group; proliferation genes Axin and FHIT mRNA expression in the lesion tissue of NSCLC group were lower than those of benign lesion group whereas RACK1, HMGN5 and MIF mRNA expression were higher than those of benign lesion group; angiogenesis-related genes VEGF, COX-2, EGFR and MACC1 mRNA expression in the lesion tissue of NSCLC group were higher than those of benign lesion group; lymphangiogenesisrelated genes Akt1, HIF-1α, Prox-1 and PTTG mRNA expression in the lesion tissue of NSCLC group were higher than those of benign lesion group. Correlation analysis showed that dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI parameters Ktrans and Kep levels of NSCLC group were directly correlated with cell proliferation, angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis in the lesions. Conclusion: Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI parameter levels of the lesions of patients with NSCLC change abnormally and are closely related to the tumor cell malignancy.

Objective: To investigate the correlation of BI-RADS grading with cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Methods: A total of 138 patients who were diagnosed with breast cancer in our hospital between August 2015 and October 2017 were divided into 2 cases at stage Ⅲ, 51 cases at stage Ⅳ and 85 cases at stage Ⅴ after the BI-RADS grading was reviewed. Differences in the expression of proliferation-related genes and invasion-related genes were compared among the three groups of patients. Results: Expressions of pro-proliferation genes MTA2, mTOR, PKM2, Notch1 and FSCN1 mRNA in lesion tissue of patients at stage Ⅴ and Ⅳ were higher than those of patients at stage Ⅲ whereas expressions of anti-proliferation genes BRCA1 and PTEN mRNA were lower than those of patients at stage Ⅲ; expressions of pro-invasion genes Gab2 and NUAK1 mRNA were higher than those of patients at stage Ⅲ whereas expressions of anti-invasion genes EBP50, EDN3, FBXW7 and NDRG1 mRNA were lower than those of patients at stage Ⅲ. With the increase of BI-RADS grades, the expression levels of proproliferation genes and pro-invasion genes further increased while the expression levels of antiproliferation and anti-invasion genes further decreased in the lesion tissue. Conclusions: BIRADS grading of patients with breast cancer is positively correlated with the proliferation and invasion activity of cancer cells.

Objective: To investigate the influence of TRPV1 and LGR5 on downstream proliferation and invasion-related gene expression in endocardial cancer lesions. Methods: A total of 40 patients with endometrial cancer undergoing surgical treatment in our hospital between June 2013 and June 2017 were selected, TRPV1 and LGR5 gene expression in endometrial cancer tissue and adjacent normal tissue were detected, and their median was referred to divide the patients into high TRPV1 group and low TRPV1 group as well as high LGR5 group and low LGR5 group, 20 cases in each group. The differences in proliferation and invasion gene expression in endometrial cancer tissues with different TRPV1 and LGR5 expression were compared. Results: TRPV1 and LGR5 gene expression in endometrial cancer tissues were significantly higher than those in adjacent tissues. Proliferation genes HMGB1, SRPX2 and Wip-1 mRNA expression in lesion tissues of high TRPV1 group and high LGR5 group were higher than those of low TRPV1 group and low LGR5 group respectively whereas ITLN-1 mRNA expression were lower than those of low TRPV1 group and low LGR5 group respectively; invasion genes MTA1, hnRNP H and Snail mRNA expression in lesion tissues of high TRPV1 group and high LGR5 group were higher than those of low TRPV1 group and low LGR5 group respectively whereas Dickkopf and DKK1 mRNA expression were lower than those of low TRPV1 group and low LGR5 group respectively. Conclusions: TRPV1 and LGR5 expression abnormally increase in endometrial cancer, which are directly correlated with the expression of downstream proliferation and invasion genes, and can affect the progress of the disease together.

Objective: To investigate the NOV gene expression in osteosarcoma tissue and its correlation with cell proliferation and migration. Methods: Osteosarcoma tissue and adjacent normal tissue from 97 patients with osteosarcoma who underwent surgical treatment in the Central Hospital of Xiaogan between May 2014 and August 2017 were selected as the osteosarcoma group and the normal control group respectively. Fluorescence quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression of NOV gene, proliferation-related genes and invasion-related genes in different tissue samples, and Pearson test was used to evaluate the NOV gene expression in osteosarcoma tissue and its correlation with cell proliferation and migration. Results: NOV mRNA expression in osteosarcoma group was significantly lower than that in normal control group; KISS-1 and TAp73 mRNA expresion in osteosarcoma group were lower than those in normal control group whereas VCP, FoxM1, RIPK4 and STIM1 mRNA expression were higher than those in normal control group; DLX1 and Sema6A mRNA expression inosteosarcoma group were lower than those in normal control group whereas EFEMP1, GPR56, SOX5 and CRYAB mRNA expression were higher than those in normal control group. Pearson test showed that the NOV gene expression in osteosarcoma was directly correlated with the expression of cell proliferation genes and invasion genes. Conclusions: NOV gene expression in osteosarcoma tissue is lower than that in adjacent normal tissue, and the specific expression is directly correlated to tumor cell proliferation and invasion activity, and can be as a reliable index to judge the malignant degree of osteosarcoma.

Objective: To investigate the correlation of Runx2 expression with cancer cell growth and extracellular matrix degradation in liver cancer tissue. Methods: A total of 89 patients with primary liver cancer who underwent radical operation for liver cancer in Huanggang Central Hospital between January 2016 and August 2017 were selected, liver cancer tissue specimens and adjacent normal tissue specimens collected from each of the 89 cases were kept during operation and enrolled as liver cancer group and normal control group respectively. The expression of Runx2, proliferation-related genes, apoptosis-related genes, MMPs and so on in the specimens were detected, and Pearson test was used to evaluate the correlation of Runx2 mRNA expression in liver cancer tissue with cell proliferation and apoptosis ans well as extracellular matrix degradation. Results: Runx2 mRNA expression in liver cancer group was higher than that in normal control group; proliferation-related gene NFAT2 mRNA expression in liver cancer group was lower than that in normal control group whereas DNMT3B, LAMP2, STC2, Versican and Bub1 mRNA expression were higher than those in normal control group; apoptosis-related genes Survivin, Vimentin, Bcl-2 and cIAP2 mRNA expression in liver cancer group were higher than those in normal control group whereas Bax mRNA expression was lower than that in control group; MMP-2, MMP-9 and MMP-14 mRNA expression in liver cancer group were significantly higher than those in control group. Pearson test showed that the Runx2 mRNA expression in liver cancer tissue was directly correlated with cell proliferation activity, apoptosis activity and MMPs expression. Conclusion: There is abnormally high expression of Runx2 in liver cancer tissue, it can directly participate in the active cancer cell proliferation, abnormal apoptosis and other processes, and the specific mechanism is related to its effect on promoting extracellular matrix degradation.

There are many similarities between embryonic development and tumorigenesis, and gene expression profiles show that certain correlations exist between the gene signature during development and the clinical phenotypes of different cancers. Our group previously reported the gene expression profiles of human lung development, and the expression of one group of proliferation-related genes (PTN1 genes) steadily decreased during lung development. Here, we examined the prognostic value of PTN1 genes in 5 independent lung adenocarcinoma (ADC) and 5 lung independent squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) microarray datasets and found that the expression levels of PTN1 genes were associated with survival in lung ADC but not lung SCC. All of the lung ADC datasets contained a set of highly correlated genes from PTN1 genes, but the lung SCC datasets had no similar set of genes. We identified 63 unique core genes from the PTN1 genes in the 5 lung ADC datasets: 17 of these core genes appeared in at least 4 of the lung ADC datasets, and the 17 corresponding proteins clearly interacted more strongly with each other in lung ADC than in lung SCC. Moreover, 16 of the 17 core genes play major roles in the G2 /M phase of the cell cycle. These data indicate that proliferation-related genes in lung development have a significant prognostic value for lung ADC; the synergistic effects of the 17 core genes play an important role in lung ADC prognosis. These genes may have significant clinical implications for the treatment and prognosis of lung ADC.

Objective: To discuss the change of transcription factor Runx2 expression in colon cancer tissues and its correlation with cancer cell growth and migration. Methods: A total of 90 patients with primary colon cancer who received radical operation for colon cancer in the hospital between December 2014 and May 2017 were collected as colon cancer group, and 80 patients with benign polyps who received enteroscopy in the hospital during the same period were collected as polyp group. Fluorescence quantitative PCR method was used to detect the expression in transcription factor Runx2 as well as colon cancer-related proliferation and invasion genes in different lesion tissues, and Pearson test was used to evaluate the correlation between Runx2 mRNA expression and cancer cell growth migration in colon cancer tissues. Results: Runx2 mRNA expression in lesion tissue of colon cancer was higher than that of polyp group; proliferation gene MS4A12 mRNA expression in lesion tissue of colon cancer group was lower than that of polyp group whereas GTPBP4, hTERT and CXCR7 mRNA expression were higher than those of polyp group; invasion genes CCL21, LIMK1, PRDX1, STAT3, LIMK1 and SLP-2 mRNA expression in lesion tissue of colon cancer group were higher than those of polyp group. Conclusion: Transcription factor Runx2 expression increases in colon cancer tissue and is directly correlated with the proliferation and invasion activity of cancer cells.

Objective: To measure the contrast-enhanced ultrasound parameters of endometrial benign and malignant lesions and investigate their correlation with malignant molecule expression. Methods: A total of 118 patients who were examined and diagnosed with endometrial benign hyperplasia in the hospital between December 2012 and January 2017 were collected as endometrial hyperplasia group, and 67 patients with endometrial carcinoma were collected as endometrial cancer group. The differences in the levels of uterine contrast-enhanced ultrasound parameters as well as the expression of proliferation, apoptosis and invasion genes in endometrial lesion tissue were compared between the two groups. Pearson test was used to evaluate the correlation between uterine contrast-enhanced ultrasound parameters and malignant molecule expression in the lesions. Results: Contrast-enhanced ultrasound parameter TTP level of endometrial cancer group was lower than that of endometrial hyperplasia group whereas PI level was higher than that of endometrial hyperplasia group. Proliferation gene EFEMP2 mRNA expression in lesion tissue of endometrial cancer group was lower than that of endometrial hyperplasia group whereas RRM2 and DJ-1 mRNA expression were higher than those of endometrial hyperplasia group; apoptosis genes P53, c-myc and Livin mRNA expression were higher than those of endometrial hyperplasia group whereas Caspase-3 and Bid mRNA expression were lower than those of endometrial hyperplasia group; invasion gene DKK1 mRNA expression was lower than that of endometrial hyperplasia group whereas HMGB1, EZH2 and Snail mRNA expression were higher than those of endometrial hyperplasia group. Pearson test showed that the contrast-enhanced ultrasound parameter levels of endometrial cancer were directly correlated with the malignant molecule expression in the lesion tissues. Conclusion: contrast-enhanced ultrasound parameter levels can be used to identify endometrial benign and malignant lesions and are directly correlated with the severity of the lesion.

Objective: To discuss the correlation of contrast-enhanced CT quantitative parameters with proliferation and invasion gene expression in pancreatic cancer. Methods: A total of 100 patients with pancreatic cancer who were treated in the hospital between May 2015 and May 2017 were selected as pancreatic cancer group, and 48 patients with necrotic pancreatitis who received surgical treatment in the hospital during the same period were selected as pancreatitis group. Differences in pancreatic contrast-enhanced CT value as well as the expression of proliferation-related genes and invasion-related genes in lesion tissue were compared between the two groups, and Pearson test was used to evaluate the correlation of pancreatic cancer tissue CT value with proliferation and invasion gene expression. Results: Contrast-enhanced CT value of pancreatic cancer tissue was lower than that of pancreatitis tissue; proliferation-related genes Bmi-1, Ezrin and FOXC1 mRNA expression in lesion tissue of pancreatic cancer group were higher than those of pancreatitis group while EphB2 and RGC-32 mRNA expression were lower than those of pancreatitis group; invasion-related genes FHL1, JDP2, Let-7f and TFPI-2 mRNA expression in lesion tissue of pancreatic cancer group were lower than those of pancreatitis group while Twist and HOXB7 mRNA expression were higher than those of pancreatitis group. Pearson test showed that the contrast-enhanced CT value of pancreatic cancer was directly correlated with the proliferation and invasion gene expression in lesion tissue. Conclusion: Contrast-enhanced CT value of pancreatic cancer tissue was lower than that of normal pancreas tissue, and the specific CT value was directly correlated with the tumor proliferation and invasion-related gene expression, and can be used as a simple and reliable method for early diagnosis of disease and judgement of illness severity.

Objective: To study the relationship of ultrasonic elastography parameters of cervical cancer with the cancer cell growth and angiogenesis in the lesion tissue. Methods: A total of 110 patients who were diagnosed with cervical cancer in the hospital between December 2015 and January 2017 were collected as the observation group, 80 patients who received hysteroscopic cervical polyp resection in the hospital during the same period were collected as the control group. The levels of cervical ultrasonic elastography parameters in the two groups were detected, and fluorescence quantitative PCR was used to determine the expression of proliferation genes, apoptosis genes and angiogenesis-related genes in the lesion tissue. Pearson test was used to evaluate the correlation between cervical ultrasonic elastography parameters and the tumor malignancy indexes. Results: Elastic image press release index and strain ratio of local lesion of observation group were significantly higher than those of control group; GBP1 mRNA expression in lesion tissue of observation group was lower than that in lesion tissue of control group while Prdx4, STAT3 and Sp2 mRNA expression were higher than those in lesion tissue of control group; Survivin, FasL and Bcl-2 mRNA expression in lesion tissue of observation group were higher than those in lesion tissue of control group while Fas and Bax mRNA expression were lower than those in lesion tissue of control group; VEGF, MMP-9, COX-2 and HIF-1α mRNA in lesion tissue of observation group were significantly higher than those in lesion tissue of control group. Conclusion: Elastic image press release index and strain ratio of cervical tissue of patients with cervical cancer are higher, and the specific increase is directly correlated with the tumor malignancy.

Objective: To investigate the correlation of serum bFGF and CXCL16 levels with cancer cell growth and invasion in patients with cervical cancer. Methods: A total of 119 patients who were diagnosed with cervical cancer in Panyu District Shiqiao Hospital and Guangzhou First People's Hospital between October 2013 and October 2016 were collected as observation group, and 100 patients with cervical polyp (benign) who were treated in the hospitals during the same period were selected as control group. bFGF and CXCL16 levels in serum as well as proliferation and invasion gene expression in cervical lesions were detected, and Pearson test was used to further evaluate the correlation of serum bFGF and CXCL16 levels with cancer cell growth and invasion in patients with cervical cancer. Results: Serum bFGF and CXCL16 levels of observation group were higher than those of control group, and LATS1, SFRP2 and TET1 mRNA expression in cervical tissue were significantly lower than those of control group while HERC4, HMGB-1, HIF-1α, YAP1, Twist and RbAp48 mRNA expression were higher than those of control group; serum bFGF and CXCL16 levels in patients with cervical cancer were negatively correlated with LATS1, SFRP2 and TET1 mRNA expression in cervical tissue, and positively correlated with HERC4, HMGB-1, HIF-1α, YAP1, Twist and RbAp48 mRNA expression. Conclusion: Serum bFGF and CXCL16 levels abnormally increase in patients with cervical cancer, and they are directly correlated with the proliferation and invasion activity of cancer cells.

Objective: To explore the influence of Aidi injection combined with paclitaxel and platinum drugs on malignant molecule expression in malignant ascites of patients with advanced gastric cancer. Methods: A total of 80 patients with advanced gastric cancer complicated by malignant ascites who were treated in the hospital between January 2015 and December 2016 were divided into control group and observation group by random number table, each with 40 cases. Control group were treated with paclitaxel and platinum drugs, and observation group were treated with Aidi injection combined with paclitaxel and platinum drugs. The differences in the malignant molecule expression in malignant ascites were compared between the two groups of patients before and after treatment. Results: Before treatment, the proliferation, invasion and autophagy gene expression in malignant ascites were not statistically different between the two groups of patients. 1 week after treatment, EZH2, I2PP2A, Gal-1, HPA-1, MTA1, TROP2, BNIP3 and LC3 mRNA expression in malignant ascites of both groups of patients were lower than those before treatment while PTPN13, TRIM28, SOX7, Syndecan-1 and Beclin1 mRNA expression were higher than those before treatment, and EZH2, I2PP2A, Gal-1, HPA-1, MTA1, TROP2, BNIP3 and LC3 mRNA expression in malignant ascites of observation group were lower than those of control group while PTPN13, TRIM28, SOX7, Syndecan-1 and Beclin1 mRNA expression were higher than those of control group. Conclusion: Aidi injection combined with paclitaxel and platinum drugs can effectively inhibit the gastric cancer cell proliferation and invasion, and regulate cell autophagy activity in the malignant ascites of patients with advanced gastric cancer.

Objective: To study the effect of cetuximab combined with paclitaxel + cisplatin neoadjuvant chemotherapy on esophageal cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Methods: A total of 62 patients with esophageal cancer who were treated in the hospital between January 2015 and December 2016 were collected and divided into control group and observation group according to random number table, with 31 cases in each group. Control group of patients received paclitaxel + cisplatin neoadjuvant chemotherapy + surgery, and observation group of patients accepted cetuximab combined with paclitaxel + cisplatin neoadjuvant chemotherapy + surgery. The differences in proliferation and invasion gene expression in the tumor tissue were compared between two groups of patients before and after chemotherapy. Results: Before chemotherapy, differences in proliferation and invasion gene expression in tumor tissue were not statistically significant between two groups of patients. After chemotherapy, proproliferation genes FOXA1, ABCE1, USP39 and Nestin mRNA expression in tumor tissue of observation group were significantly lower than those of control group; anti-proliferation genes PETN, KLF4, TSLC1 and AnnexinA2 mRNA expression were significantly higher than those of control group; pro-invasion genes γ-synuclein, CXCR4 and Snail mRNA expression were significantly lower than those of control group; anti-invasion genes CIAPIN1, Fez and Lrig1 mRNA expression were significantly higher than that of control group. Conclusions: Cetuximab combined with paclitaxel + cisplatin neoadjuvant chemotherapy can effectively inhibit the malignant degree of esophageal cancer cells and inhibit its proliferation and invasion.

Objective: To study the correlation between helicobacter pylori infection and tumor malignancy in patients with gastric cancer. Methods: A total of 119 patients with gastric cancer treated in our hospital between May 2013 and December 2015 were collected and divided into HP-positive group (n=89) and HP-negative group (n=30) according to the combination of helicobacter pylori infection or not. RIA method was used to detect the serum angiogenesis index levels; fluorescence quantitative PCR (RT-PCR) was used to detect the mRNA expression of autophagy genes and proliferation genes in tumor tissues. Results: Serum angiogenesis indexes bFGF, VEGF and MMP-9 levels of HP-positive group were significantly higher than those of HP-negative groups; autophagy genes Beclin1, BNIP3, pULK and PI3KC3 mRNA expression in tumor tissues of HP-positive group were significantly lower than those of HP-negative group, pro-apoptotic genes Bax and p53 mRNA expression were significantly lower than those of HP-negative group, and anti-apoptotic genes PIK3CD, CIP2A and I2PP2A mRNA expression were significantly higher than those of HP-negative group. Conclusion: Helicobacter pylori infection can promote angiogenesis and cell proliferation in lesions of patients with gastric cancer.

Objective: To investigate the value of serum galectin-3 and midkine level determination for assessing tumor severity in patients with thyroid cancer. Methods: 108 patients with thyroid cancer treated in our hospital between January 2013 and February 2016 were collected and divided into I–II stage thyroid cancer group (n=39), III stage thyroid cancer group (n=55) and IV stage thyroid cancer group (n=14) according to TNM stage; 56 patients diagnosed with thyroid adenoma after physical examination in our hospital during the same period were selected as control group.
