In deze literatuurstudie weren vier databanken doorzocht met behulp van trefwoorden zoals chronic disease, e-health, factors en suggested interventions. Kwalitatieve, kwantitatieve en mixed methods-studies werden meegenomen. Uit de data van de 22 artikelen die werden geïncludeerd in de studie, blijken leeftijd, geslacht, inkomen, opleidingsniveau, etnische achtergrond en woonplaats (stad of platteland) in meer of mindere mate van invloed te zijn op het gebruik van e-health. Het artikel is een Nederlandstalige samenvatting van het artikel: Reiners, Sturm, Bouw & Wouters (2019) uit Int J Environ Res Public Health 2019;16(4).

In een wereld waarin de gemiddelde leeftijd hoger is dan ooit tevoren en er meer mensen met een (en vaak meer dan één) chronische aandoening leven, heeft e-health de belofte om de zorg te verbeteren, duurzaam (inclusief betaalbaar) te houden en toegankelijk te maken, ook in afgelegen gebieden. We hebben een literatuurstudie uitgevoerd om wat meer te weten te komen over hoe het, wereldwijd, gesteld is met deze belofte. Zijn de mensen, die het grootste voordeel zouden kunnen hebben van e-health, ook de meest frequente gebruikers? En wat zeggen verschillende studies over mogelijke verbeterpunten hierin? De achterliggende gedachte is te bepalen of inderdaad de juiste (e-health) zorg op de juiste plek komt, of dat er mogelijk sprake is van een zorgongelijkheid vanwege digitale ongelijkheid.

According to the newest IEA World Energy Outlook, 1.2 billion people do not have access to electricity. Most of them live in remote areas where a connection to the public grid is not economically feasible. On the other hand, almost all of these areas are located within the “Sun Belt” region around the equator and have high solar resources. Offgrid solar energy systems have always been an interesting option for these remote areas and the continuing drop of solar panel prices as well as the low carbon emission of photovoltaic (PV) electricity makes them an even more attractive option. So far, in the field of remote PV energy systems, only low power components are available on the market. In order to supply larger consumers, different kinds of technical solutions allow parallelizing multiple small inverters or battery chargers in the range of a few kilowatts (kW) to reach a few hundreds of kW. Although this is a well-proven approach, it makes PV off-grid systems more complex and foremost more expensive. The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems has developed, in the frame of a research project funded by the German Ministry for Environment (BMU), the architecture and framework of the next generation village energy supply system (BMU key number 0325121). In this paper the focus is on the power electronic components developed within the project. Firstly the common system topology for PV-based off-grid applications is presented. Then a very advanced 125 kVA off-grid inverter, which is designed to challenge large diesel generators in their well-established market, is introduced. In a second part the associated highly innovative high voltage PV battery charger with its hybrid lead-acid (Pb) and lithium-ion (Li) battery will be presented. 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference, 21-25 September 2009, Hamburg, Germany; 3610-3615, The application of silicon carbide (SiC) transistors in PV-inverters is shown and rated respective to their performance. Currently, there are several field effect or bipolar transistor types in development with normally-on and normally-off characteristics. It is not yet clear, which transistor type will prevail in the market and which will remain a niche product. The difference in performance and switching behaviour to standard Silicon transistors is pointed out, to demonstrate the optimum application for each transistor type.
