3. Existence of non-exotic traversable wormholes in squared trace extended gravity theory

Abstract

An extended gravity theory is used to explore the possibility of non-exotic matter traversable wormholes. In the extended gravity theory, additional terms linear and quadratic in the trace of the energy momentum tensor are considered in the Einstein-Hilbert action. Obviously, such an addition leads to violation of the energy-momentum tensor. The model parameters are constrained from the structure of the field equations. Non-exotic matter wormholes tend to satisfy the null energy conditions. We use two different traversable wormhole geometries namely an exponential and a power law shape functions to model the wormholes. From a detailed analysis of the energy conditions, it is found that, the existence of non-exotic matter traversable wormholes is not obvious in the model considered and its possibility may depend on the choice of the wormhole geometry. 9. Cosmic Transit and Anisotropic Models in f(R,T) Gravity

Abstract

Accelerating cosmological models are constructed in a modified gravity theory dubbed as $f(R,T)$ gravity at the backdrop of an anisotropic Bianchi type-III universe. $f(R,T)$ is a function of the Ricci scalar $R$ and the trace $T$ of the energy-momentum tensor and it replaces the Ricci scalar in the Einstein-Hilbert action of General Relativity. The models are constructed for two different ways of modification of the Einstein-Hilbert action. Exact solutions of the field equations are obtained by a novel method of integration. We have explored the behaviour of the cosmic transit from an decelerated phase of expansion to an accelerated phase to get the dynamical features of the universe. Within the formalism of the present work, it is found that, the modification of the Einstein-Hilbert action does not affect the scale factor. Abstract

Substantial experimental and theoretical efforts worldwide are devoted to explore the phase diagram of strongly interacting matter. At LHC and top RHIC energies, QCD matter is studied at very high temperatures and nearly vanishing net-baryon densities. There is evidence that a Quark-Gluon-Plasma (QGP) was created at experiments at RHIC and LHC. The transition from the QGP back to the hadron gas is found to be a smooth cross over. For larger net-baryon densities and lower temperatures, it is expected that the QCD phase diagram exhibits a rich structure, such as a first-order phase transition between hadronic and partonic matter which terminates in a critical point, or exotic phases like quarkyonic matter. The discovery of these landmarks would be a breakthrough in our understanding of the strong interaction and is therefore in the focus of various high-energy heavy-ion research programs. The Compressed Baryonic Matter (CBM) experiment at FAIR will play a unique role in the exploration of the QCD phase diagram in the region of high net-baryon densities, because it is designed to run at unprecedented interaction rates. High-rate operation is the key prerequisite for high-precision measurements of multi-differential observables and of rare diagnostic probes which are sensitive to the dense phase of the nuclear fireball. The goal of the CBM experiment at SIS100 (sqrt(s_NN) = 2.7 - 4.9 GeV) is to discover fundamental properties of QCD matter: the phase structure at large baryon-chemical potentials (mu_B > 500 MeV), effects of chiral symmetry, and the equation-of-state at high density as it is expected to occur in the core of neutron stars. We discuss here a self-consistent method to calculate the properties of the cold asymmetric nuclear matter. In this model, the nuclear matter is dressed with s-wave pion pairs and the nucleon-nucleon (N-N) interaction is mediated by these pion pairs, $\omega$ and $\rho$ mesons. The parameters of these interactions are calculated self-consistently to obtain the saturation properties like equilibrium binding energy, pressure, compressibility and symmetry energy. Abstract

Long BGO (Bismuth Germanate) and BSO (Bismuth Silicate) crystals coupled with silicon photodiodes have been used to detect minimum-ionizing particles(MIP). With a low noise amplifier customized for this purpose, the crystals can detect MIPs with an excellent signal-to-noise ratio. The NCE(Nuclear Counter Effect} is also clearly observed and measured. Abstract

This study examines the effects of 2%, 4%, and 6% additions of TiO2 nanoparticles on the wear and mechanical characteristics of Al 5054 alloy reinforcement. The results demonstrate that the addition of TiO2 nanoparticles considerably increases the alloy's tensile and impact strengths. Tensile strength reaches a peak of 221 MPa at 6% reinforcement and it rises gradually as the percentage of TiO2 reinforcement increases. Similarly, impact strength rises with time and, with TiO2 reinforcement, it reaches a maximum of 63 Joules at 6%. Wear analysis using Taguchi-based design determines the optimal combination of composition, disc rotation speed, load, and sliding distance to minimize a given wear rate and friction force. The SEM analysis validates that the composites exhibit enhanced wear resistance due to the uniform distribution of TiO2 nanoparticles. An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model is also developed to predict the responses, and it achieves an overall accuracy of 83.549%. The mechanical properties and wear resistance of TiO2 -reinforced Al 5054 composites can be enhanced, as it is demonstrated by these results. Abstract

Machine learning using the ANN approach is presented in this paper to design 101 channels of optical DEMUX in the range of 1300–1400 nm. This work is used to envisage the optical parameters of silicon grating structure such as the thickness of SiO and Si which are the decisive factors to allow the desired signal through the structure to realize optical DEMUX. This is accomplished by training an ANN model with a few pre-defined optical DEMUX parameters which are obtained beforehand by the plane wave expansion method. Here, the ANN model is implemented in the Tensor Flow framework of Google Colaboratory Network (Colab) which consists of five hidden layers of ReLU activation besides the input and output linear activation nodes. Besides this, the optical parameters collected from the ANN model are used to simulate through the PWE method for validation by observing the reflectance characteristics curve and found that most of the values are satisfied to realize the optical VLSI DEMUX. Abstract

Background: Heart is the principal organ of circulatory system that pumps blood into the blood vessels and performs many vital functions. Its development before birth must be studied to safeguard the animal from the occurrence and consequences of various developmental anomalies. The detailed morphometry of different external parameters of heart especially in pre-natal sheep has not yet been reported. Methods: The foeti of sheep were divided into three age groups viz. early prenatal (up to 50 days), mid prenatal (51-100 days) and late prenatal (101 to 150 days) with fifteen animals in each age group. The various external parameters were recorded by using digital weighing machine, graduated measuring cylinder, digital Vernier's calliper, non-stretchable nylon thread and graduated scale. The data recorded was statistically analysed by one way ANOVA with IBM SPSS 25.0 version software. Result: It was revealed that the average width of heart at its base was 4.82±0.22 mm, 10.52±0.72 mm and 21.57±1.03 mm in early prenatal, mid prenatal and late prenatal stages respectively. The average dorso-ventral length of left ventricle of heart was measured as 4.82±0.14 mm, 12.07±1.16 mm and 25.58±0.88 mm in early prenatal, mid prenatal and late prenatal stages respectively. The average distance between the left longitudinal groove and cranial border of heart at base was measured as 2.93±0.11 mm, 6.38±0.39 mm and 9.78±0.41 mm in early prenatal, mid prenatal and late prenatal stages respectively. Similarly, the average distance between the right longitudinal groove and cranial border of heart at middle was measured as 1.96±0.09 mm, 5.01±0.34 mm and 8.31±0.50 mm in early prenatal, mid prenatal and late prenatal stages respectively. Abstract

The design of a Covid-19 testing kit is proposed in this research using a photonic crystal structure (PhC) and a violet laser beam. The basic principle of this structure relies on the phenomenon of absorbance reflectance and transmission at the signal of a 412 nm laser beam. Finally, the transmitted light energy through the PhC structure is the conclusive factor to detect the types of virus which is the function of the reflectance and absorbance. The reflected light energy is computed by plane wave expansion (PWE) whereas the absorbance of light energy is obtained through numerical computation. The notable advantages of this technique are that the virus related to Covid-19 can be recognized by observing the colour of transmitted energy through a photo energy meter. Finally, the outcomes of the research affirm that the sample could be Covid-19 if the output energy would be infrared (IR).
