2. Kinetics of esterification of acetic acid with n‐butanol over different homogeneous acid catalysts.

Abstract

The esterification reaction of n‐butanol and acetic acid has been performed in batch reactor in the presence of different homogeneous acid catalyst, namely sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and para toluene sulfonic acid (p‐TSA). The objective of present research work is to investigate kinetic behavior of esterification reaction over the temperature range of 60°C–80°C. The effect of reaction parameter such as catalyst loading varied from 1% to 5% v/v and acid to alcohol molar ratio of 1:1, 1:3, and 1:5 has been observed. A pseudo homogeneous kinetic model has been applied. Kinetic parameters such as equilibrium constant, reaction rate constant, enthalpy, activation energy, and entropy were calculated by the experimental data for different acid catalyst system. It was observed that sulfuric acid gives higher conversion 73% than p‐TSA 68.5% and nitric acid 66.25% at temperature of 80°C, 1:1 molar ratio and 3% catalyst concentration. The activation energy was estimated 36448.49, 23324.31 and 19060.156 J/mol K for three different catalyst sulfuric acid, nitric acid and p‐TSA respectively. The enthalpy and entropy of the esterification reaction of acetic acid with n‐butanol over three different catalysts has been calculated (Enthalpy: 25.788 KJ/mol, 12.256 KJ/mol, 28.320 KJ/mol, Entropy: 88.1 J/mol K, 45.298 J/mol K, 91.44 J/mol K) and found enthalpy is having positive value that shows reaction is endothermic. Abstract

The main aim of this research paper is to formulate and evaluate Orodispersible tablets of OndasetronHCl by direct compression method. The oral route of drug administration is that the most vital method for administering drugs for systemic effects. For rapid dissolution of dosage, water must rapidly penetrate into the tablet matrix to cause quick disintegration and instantaneous dissolution may be a fundamental to formulate ODT. Oro-dispersible tablets of ondansetron hydrochloride are prepared by direct compression method. The formulation 75% of super disintegrate (i.e) Starch Glycolate and Cross Povidone, Ac Di Sol & Microcrystalline Cellulose pH102 has shown best release with 99.46% at the top of 30 minutes the bubbling mixture further assists in taste masking of Ondansetron hydrochloride. Consistent with IR studies there's no incompatibility shown. The formulation found stable at 40°C±2°C and 75%RH±5%RH. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Over the past decades, a rapidly increasing interest towards miniaturization of electronic devices, structures with a size in the nanometer realm have perked up intensive and worldwide research activities in transition metal oxides nanostructures (TMONs). Various TMONs (NiO, CuO, ZnO, TiO2, ZrO2, VO2, V2O5, Fe2O3 etc.) have excellent properties such as unique crystal structure, multi dimensionality and quantum size confinement effects. Currently they are the most promising oxides with Polymorphism (materials with same composition and different crystal structures) property and applied as sensors, impurity separators and electronic components, in magnetic storage, recording media, as well as antimicrobial agents for diagnosis of diseases, drug delivery systems, sun screens and ceramics in biomedical and pharmaceutical arena. Both experimental and theoretical aspects of highly ordered TMONs (in particular Fe2O3 and TiO2) assemblies have received a great deal of attention in recent years. With the advancement of nanoscience and nanotechnology, the present work comprise of crystallographic representation of polymorphs Fe2O3 (a-Fe2O3) and TiO2 (anatase-, brookite-, and rutile-TiO2) nanomaterials using VESTA software. Herein, we constructed the visualization of different parameters in terms of crystal structures and lattice planes for transition metal oxide polymorphs material in particular Fe2O3 and TiO2. By using VESTA software, we calculated the bond-length of iron (Fe) and titanium (Ti) materials with oxygen (O) and the calculated bond-length is in angstrom. This research work attempts to mainly elaborate the crystallographic information of Fe2O3 and TiO2 polymorphs and their plausible potentials in bio-safety, health and drug delivery applications.
