A cross-sectional design was employed, using validated measures to assess both family burden and primary caregivers’ depression and anxiety.Results: Significant differences by gender were detected in family burden and caregiver distress. Family burden was significantly higher for male patients on the domains of effect on physical and mental health of others, and significantly higher for female caregivers on the domains of financial burden and effect on physical and mental health of others. Caregivers of male patients were more likely to suffer from anxiety than caregivers of female patients (52.7% vs 38.1%, P=0.012); female caregivers were more likely to suffer from depression (51.2% vs 38.6%, P = 0.031) and anxiety (51.6% vs 38.1%, P=0.020) than male caregivers.Conclusion: The results reinforced the expected differences in caregiving experiences of a schizophrenia population by gender, which has implications for the future design of gender-specific interventions to alleviate family burden and caregiver distress. Intelligentization of coal preparation plant is the core technical support for the high-quality development of coal washing. This study targets at the top-level design for the intelligent construction of coal preparation plant. Departing from the fundamental purpose and motivation of digital transformation of coal preparation plant, we 1) discuss the technical objectives and major tasks of intelligent construction of coal preparation plant based on the underlying logic of intelligent construction of coal preparation plant; 2) propose the overall technical architecture of CNSASSM for the intelligent construction of coal preparation plant based on layered architecture, with five core competence requirements: "thorough perception, deep interconnection, autonomous learning, intelligent application, and global coordination"; 3) point out the technical pathway for intelligent construction of coal preparation plant and the major tasks to be completed at each phase based on capability maturity, including the integration of standard coal preparation data at the primary phase, the research and development of business optimization algorithms at the intermediate phase, and the empowerment of artificial intelligence model on coal preparation at the advanced phase; 4) generalize a 96-word guideline of technical strategies for intelligent construction of coal preparation plant based on patterns of complex system development, so as to provide reference for the technical realization of intelligent construction of coal preparation plant from the perspective of top-level design.

BackgroundDepressive disorder is one of the most common mental disorders in the elderly and the existing meta-analyses on the prevalence of depressive disorder among the elderly have mainly summarized the findings from patient self-rating scales or examiner-rating scales.ObjectiveTo examine the prevalence of depressive disorder among elderly people in China using Meta-analysis， aiming to provide references for interventions targeting elderly patients with depressive disorder.MethodsOn December 20， 2022， a computerized searches were conducted in databases including CNKI， Wanfang， VIP， SinoMed， PubMed， Springer， Web of Science and Embase to collect studies on the prevalence of depressive disorder among the elderly in China. The Joanna Briggs Institute （JBI） quality assessment tool was used to evaluate the included literature. A meta-analysis was conducted using the statistical software R version 4.2.2.ResultsA total of 29 studies involving 2 341 elderly patients with depressive disorder were included. The prevalence of depressive disorder among the elderly in China was 3.90% （95% CI： 0.030~0.049）. Subgroup analysis revealed that there was a statistical difference in the prevalence of depressive disorder between elderly people without spouses and those with spouses （χ2=6.844， P

Flexible textile composite materials have received increasing attention in the application of variable configuration aircraft due to their flexibility， and foldable and unfoldable properties. However， there are still great uncertainties about their mechanical properties. Uniaxial tensile experiments with five off-axial angles were conducted to study the uniaxial tensile mechanical behaviors of a quartz fiber/silicone rubber flexible textile composite material. A hyperelastic constitutive model was established based on the characteristics of the brittleness of quartz fiber and the toughness of silicone rubber， and the strain energy density function was decoupled into the strain energy density functions from fiber elongations along the warp and weft yarns direction， and the strain energy density function coupling silicone rubber elongation and fiber shear. The model parameters were determined based on the uniaxial tensile test data. Comparison with the results of off-axis tensile test shows that the prediction error of the hyperelastic constitutive model for the in-plane tensile behavior is less than 3.88%. According to the flexible and deformable characteristics of the quartz fiber/silicone rubber flexible textile composite material， a circular membrane pneumatic loading test verification method is adopted， which can uniformly apply load to the membrane surface. The proposed hyperelastic constitutive model is realized by the user subroutine UANISOHYPER_INV of the finite element software Abaqus， and the error between simulation data and experimental data is less than 2.9%， indicating that the established hyperelastic constitutive model has good applicability for mechanical characterization of the quartz fiber/silicone rubber flexible textile composite material.

Volcanic rocks， such as andesite and tuff， are widely developed in the Carboniferous system in Karamali area， northern Xinjiang. The tectonic background of their formation is still controversial. In this paper， two typical Carboniferous profiles from Karamali Mountain were selected. Andesite and tuff samples from the lower Carboniferous Jiangbasitao Formation， the upper Carboniferous Bashan Formation， and Huxingliang Formation were observed under a microscope， and their main trace elements were analyzed. The results show that the contents of MgO （0.5%-2.35%） and Mg# （15.7%-42.5%） are low to medium in samples， indicating that the crystallization differentiation of rock samples occurs during the formation process. The distribution curve of trace elements in the samples is obviously different from that of N-MORB， E-MORB， and OIB. The samples are almost all in the calc-alkaline series in Ta/Yb-Th/Yb and La-Y-Nb diagrams， while the samples fall subduction components and approach the mantle series in Nb/Yb-La/Yb diagrams. The Nb/Y-Rb/Y and Ba/La-Ba/Nb diagrams also show that the samples are affected by both fluid enrichment and melt enrichment. The Nb/U and Ce/Pb ratios of the samples are 1.6-11.1 and 0.47-12.2， respectively， which are close to the range of continental crust and indicate that the source of the material may be mixed with continental crust materials. According to the Th-Hf/3-Nb/16 diagram， all the samples are located in the island arc basalt region. The comprehensive analysis shows that Karamali area was in the continental island arc environment of active continental margin from the early Carboniferous to the late Carboniferous， and this environment lasted at least from the early Carboniferous to the late Carboniferous.

Abstract This article studies the feedback stabilization problem of an impulsive switched linear system whose feedback loop is closed over a digital network. Particularly, the combined effects of mode switches, impulses, quantization, network delay and external disturbances on the stability of that system are investigated. By extending the previous delay‐free and impulse‐free methods of reachable‐set approximation and propagation, some novel communication and control policies are designed to stabilize the concerned switched system with both network delay and impulses. In order to save the occupied network bandwidth, some event‐triggered control policies are proposed. To handle the effects of the mode switches and the impulse, we design event‐triggering conditions for both the case with no switch and no impulse on an inter‐event interval and the case with one switch or one impulse on an inter‐event interval. Note that the occurrence of a mode switch or an impulse leads to the switch of the event‐triggering conditions. Under the event‐triggered control policies, a stabilizing bit rate condition is derived. It is proven that even under impulses and network delay, the event‐triggered control policies can stabilize the switched system at a lower bit rate than earlier works based on conventional time‐triggered control policies.

Abstract Background Tourniquets are widely used in limb fracture surgeries. Controversies still exist about the pressure inflated, including unified tourniquet inflation pressure (UTIP) and personalized tourniquet inflation pressure (PTIP). This study evaluated the hemostatic effect between UTIP and PTIP based on systolic blood pressure (SBP) in extremity fracture patients. Materials and methods Patients with fresh extremity fractures requiring tourniquets during surgeries were prospectively enrolled and randomly assigned to the UTIP and PTIP groups. The inflation pressure was set to 250 mmHg for the upper extremities and 300 mmHg for the lower extremities in the UTIP group and SBP plus 50 mmHg for the upper extremities and SBP plus 100 mmHg for the lower extremities in the PTIP group. The primary outcome was a hemostatic effect evaluated by the surgeon (satisfied or dissatisfied). Other secondary outcomes included postoperative changes in limb swelling and tourniquet-related complications. Results A total of 144 patients were enrolled and randomly assigned to the UTIP group or the PTIP group, and each group has 72 patients (36 upper limb and 36 lower limb). Totally, the hemostasis effect of the PTIP group was worse than that of the UTIP group by non-inferiority test. The hemostatic effect of upper limb fractures with SBP plus 50 mmHg for tourniquet inflation pressure was also worse than that with 250mmHg; however, there was no statistically significant difference between 300mmHg and SBP plus 100 mmHg in the lower limb group hemostasis effect due to a lack of power. Also, no difference was observed in the incidence of complications (p = 1.000) and postoperative changes in limb swelling during 2 days after surgery (upper limb: P1 = 0.546, P2 = 0.545; lower limb: P1 = 0.408, P2 = 0.857) between the PTIP and UTIP group. Conclusion In the surgery of limb fractures, setting SBP + 50mmHg as tourniquet pressure may not be sufficient for upper limbs. Also, we found no difference between the SBP + 100mmHg and the unified 300mmHg for lower limb surgeries.

Abstract The influence of co-regulating Mo and Sn on the corrosion resistance of low alloy steel in tropical marine atmospheric was investigated. The combined addition of Mo and Sn has been found to significantly improve the corrosion resistance of low alloy steel, augmenting the protective capabilities of the rust layer. This combined addition promotes the formation of protective compounds like α-FeOOH and FeCr2O4 within the alloy rust layer. Furthermore, it facilitates the conversion of Cr, Ni and Cu into corrosion-resistant oxides such as Cr2O3, NiFe2O4 and CuO, thereby enhancing the density of the rust layer. Additionally, as corrosion progresses over time, higher levels of Sn addition lead to increased Sn content within the inner rust layer, consequently bolstering the protective qualities of the rust layer. This comprehensive understanding sheds light on the synergistic effects of Mo and Sn in fortifying the corrosion resistance of low alloy steel, offering insights for the development of advanced corrosion-resistant materials in marine environments.

To study the compressive mechanical properties and failure mechanism of satin woven composites with void defects， the longitudinal compression experiments on C/C-SiC satin woven composites with void defects were conducted. The microscopic strength prediction model of satin woven composites with void defects was established by introducing random pores through the explosive fragment algorithm based on the discrete element method. Based on this model， the progressive failure process of the mesoscopic model under meridional compression load was simulated， revealing the influence of pores on the damage process. The progressive damage process and failure mechanism prediction model are verified by experimental data. The results show that the main failure modes of the material under warp compression load are shear failure and delamination failure， manifesting in three forms： interlaminar local matrix cracking and associated， delamination between the matrix and the warp， complete or partial fracture along the warp and weft debonding and matrix separation， weft cracking. At the same time， the numerical simulation results are basically the same as the experimental values， which verifies the validity of the model of C/C-SiC satin woven composites with void defects， and provides an effective method for the study of mechanical properties of two-dimensional woven composites.

To improve the accuracy of short-term precipitation forecasts, a deep learning method is proposed to correct numerical model precipitation forecast products. This method extracts spatiotemporal features from numerical model forecasts and observations using a neural network and performs corrections based on a gated recurrent unit (GRU) framework. Additionally, an atmospheric physics adaptor module is meticulously designed to address systematic errors in the intensity and displacement of numerical model forecast by leveraging physical condition mechanisms. The module plays a crucial role within the overarching model framework, which consists of three integrated components: Feature network, recurrent-revising network, and physical adaptor. The feature network extracts precipitation intensity, distribution, motion characteristics and other related atmospheric physical features from precipitation in situ and numerical model forecast data, serving as input to the recurrent-revising network. Recurrent-revising network utilizes a recurrent neural network structure to adjust grid point forecast results on a time-step basis. Deep neural networks are used to extract spatiotemporal variation features from numerical model forecast data and historical observations, learning systematic errors in the evolution processes to correct the precipitation magnitude and distribution. The physical adaptor is an atmospheric physics adaptation module, which preprocesses numerical model forecast data using frequency distribution fitting and distribution deviation correction methods. In Guangxi convective-scale model precipitation forecast data, when there are significant differences between numerous samples and the precipitation in situ, the feature correlation is low, making it a challenge to capture systematic error characteristics during neural network training. By preprocessing the samples with the physical adaptor, differences between forecasts and observations are reduced, enhancing feature correlation between training input datasets and observations, thus facilitating better neural network training and achieving superior correction skills. This method not only adheres to but also integrates fundamental atmospheric physical laws governing precipitation evolution, thereby offering a robust and innovative approach for post-processing numerical model short-term precipitation forecasts. By incorporating these physical principles into the model framework, corrected forecasts not only reflect statistical patterns but also adhere closely to the underlying physical processes driving precipitation dynamics. Experimental results in Guangxi indicate that the model demonstrates positive threat score skills across various forecast times and precipitation intensities. Specifically, for different precipitation intensities (average of all times), threat score skills for 0.1 mm·h-1, 2 mm·h-1, 7 mm·h-1, 15 mm·h-1, 25 mm·h-1, and 40 mm·h-1 are 5.67%, 3.59%, 2.18%, 1.46%, 1.01%, and 0.46%, respectively; for different lead times, threat score skills for 0-2 h, 2-4 h, and 4-6 h are 4.77%, 1.28%, and 0.91%, respectively; and the overall average threat score skill across all precipitation intensities and times is 2.21%.

Acute pancreatitis (AP) is a highly fatal pancreatic inflammation. In recent years, synthetic nanoparticles have been extensively developed as drug carriers to address the challenges of systemic adverse reactions and lack of specificity in drug delivery. However, systemically administered nanoparticle therapy is rapidly cleared from circulation by the mononuclear phagocyte system (MPS), leading to suboptimal drug concentrations in inflamed tissues and suboptimal pharmacokinetics. To address this challenge, we herein demonstrate a surface masking strategy that involves coating the surface of selenylated Poria cocos polysaccharide nanoparticles with a layer of macrophage plasma membrane to circumvent MPS sequestration, thereby enhancing the therapeutic efficacy of selenylated Poria cocos polysaccharide nanoparticles. Nanoparticles encapsulated with macrophage membranes can simulate the active homing efficacy of macrophages to inflamed lesions during AP, resulting in excessive infiltration of macrophages in pancreatic inflammation sites and prolonged tissue retention time. This technique converts non-adhesive lipid nanoparticles into bioadhesive nanoparticles, increasing local tissue accumulation under inflammatory conditions, including the pancreas and vulnerable lungs. The mechanism is related to targeting pro-inflammatory macrophages. In murine models of mild and severe AP, intravenous treatment with macrophage-mimicking nanoparticles effectively reduces systemic inflammation level and diminishes the recruitment of macrophages and neutrophils. Mechanistic studies elucidate that macrophage membrane-biomimetic selenylated Poria cocos polysaccharide nanoparticles primarily mitigate pancreatic inflammation by inhibiting the AKT/mTOR pathway to reverse autophagic flux impairment. This allows us to envision that the developed biomimetic nanotherapy approach could potentially serve as a novel strategy for pancreatic drug therapy.

The increasing use of plastic food containers, particularly for pre-cooked meals and takeout services, has raised concerns regarding the potential health risks associated with plastic leachates. This study investigated the impact of leachates from heat-treated polypropylene (PP) plastic food containers on glucose and lipid metabolism using both in vitro and in vivo models. AML12 hepatocytes exposed to leachates from three different PP plastic containers exhibited significant disruptions in the homeostasis of lipid and glucose metabolism, evidenced by increased intracellular lipid content and altered gene expression related to lipogenesis, lipid uptake, lipolysis, and fatty acid β-oxidation. C57BL/6J mice were fed with the mouse diet that had been heated in two distinct types of PP plastic food containers for 8 weeks and these mice exhibited accelerated body weight gain, altered fasting blood glucose levels, and changes in serum lipid profiles. Histological analysis revealed increased adipocyte size, liver steatosis, and glycogen accumulation. Transcriptome sequencing of liver tissues highlighted significant alterations in the expression of genes involved in metabolic pathways, further corroborated by real-time qPCR validation. These findings underscore the potential metabolic health risks posed by the use of heated plastic food containers.

There has been a rapid rise in utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in many different sectors in the last several years. However, business-to-business (B2B) marketing is one of the more notable examples. The initial assessments emphasize the significant advantages of AI in B2B marketing, including its knack for yielding unique understandings into consumer behaviors, recognizing crucial market trends, and improving operational efficiency. However, there seems to be a limited grasp of the optimal way to develop artificial intelligence competencies (AIC) for B2B marketing and how these attributes inevitably affect customer lifetime value (CLV). Equipped with AIC and B2B marketing literary fiction, this research unveils a theoretical research framework for evaluating the repercussions of AIC on B2B marketing capabilities and, subsequently, on CLV. We analyze the suggested research model using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), leveraging 367 survey replies from Pakistani companies. The outcomes show a significant relationship that describe the ability to leverage AIC to enhance CLV, and also signifies the mediating role of B2B marketing capabilities to enhance CLV by integrating AIC in internet marketing. The findings of this study provide practical implications for marketers to monetize their marketing skills to enhance CLV and researchers with theoretical underpinnings of integration of AIC into marketing.

Abstract Golden jackal optimization (GJO) is inspired by mundane characteristics and collaborative hunting behaviour, which mimics foraging, trespassing and encompassing, and capturing prey to refresh a jackal’s position. However, the GJO has several limitations, such as a slow convergence rate, low computational accuracy, premature convergence, poor solution efficiency, and weak exploration and exploitation. To enhance the global detection ability and solution accuracy, this paper proposes a novel complex-valued encoding golden jackal optimization (CGJO) to achieve function optimization and engineering design. The complex-valued encoding strategy deploys a dual-diploid organization to encode the real and imaginary portions of the golden jackal and converts the dual-dimensional encoding region to the single-dimensional manifestation region, which increases population diversity, restricts search stagnation, expands the exploration area, promotes information exchange, fosters collaboration efficiency and improves convergence accuracy. CGJO not only exhibits strong adaptability and robustness to achieve supplementary advantages and enhance optimization efficiency but also balances global exploration and local exploitation to promote computational precision and determine the best solution. The CEC 2022 test suite and six real-world engineering designs are utilized to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of CGJO. CGJO is compared with three categories of existing optimization algorithms: (1) WO, HO, NRBO and BKA are recently published algorithms; (2) SCSO, GJO, RGJO and SGJO are highly cited algorithms; and (3) L-SHADE, LSHADE-EpsSin and CMA-ES are highly performing algorithms. The experimental results reveal that the effectiveness and feasibility of CGJO are superior to those of other algorithms. The CGJO has strong superiority and reliability to achieve a quicker convergence rate, greater computation precision, and greater stability and robustness.

Recent scientific investigations have revealed the intricate mechanisms underlying bone formation, emphasizing the essential role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) as critical regulators. This process, essential for skeletal strength and functionality, involves the transformation of mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblasts and subsequent deposition of bone matrix. lncRNAs, including HOX transcript antisense RNA (HOTAIR), metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1), differentiation antagonizing non-coding RNA (DANCR), and maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3), have emerged as prominent players in this regulatory network. HOTAIR modulates osteoblast differentiation by interacting with chromatin-modifying enzymes, while MALAT1 regulates osteogenic differentiation through microRNA interactions. DANCR collaborates with Runx2 to fine-tune osteoblast differentiation, and MEG3 orchestrates multiple signaling pathways crucial for bone formation. Moreover, other lncRNAs such as H19, lncRNA for enhancing osteogenesis 3, rhabdomyosarcoma 2-associated transcript, urothelial cancer associated 1, taurine up-regulated gene 1, and nuclear enriched abundant transcript 1 contribute to the complex regulatory network governing osteoblast activities. Understanding the precise roles of these lncRNAs offers promising avenues for developing innovative therapeutic strategies targeting bone-related disorders like osteoporosis. Overall, this review summarizes the pivotal role of lncRNAs in bone formation, highlighting their potential as targets for future research endeavors aimed at advancing therapeutic interventions in bone diseases.

[Objective] To meet the practical requirements for comprehensive grading based on the appearance quality and size of apples, and to address issues such as low efficiency of manual sorting, complex structure, and high cost of sorting equipment for Chinese apples. [Methods] A YOLOv5s-apple model was proposed. The transformer module and CBAM attention module were introduced into the backbone network, and the weighted Bidirectional feature pyramid network (Bi-FPN) was added to improve the neck network. Then, combined with HALCON software, a self-designed intelligent apple damage detection system was used to carry out damage sorting and size classification. [Results] The experimental results showed that compared with the original YOLOv5s model, the mAP of the YOLOv5s-Apple model was improved by 6.2%, and the accuracy of apple sorting system could reach 97.5%, the processing speed of the system was 5 s/apple. [Conclusion] The system can effectively carry out apple grading and sorting, and provide a reference for the intellectualization and low cost of Apple detection equipment.

Website development without prior knowledge of HTML or programming experience would be a significant challenge. This study aims to share the students' experiences developing a website using Wix, a user-friendly website builder. The website was assigned as a project-based assessment of one of the courses required to complete a Foundation programme. The course was delivered using a project-based learning (PBL) approach in this context. The students worked as a group to write a project proposal, plan activities, develop the website, write reports, and present the outcome. As for the website development process, the study demonstrates the completion of the project using the Waterfall model, a sequential approach to the software development lifecycle (SDLC). In summary, this study aims to explore the use of Wix for web development, the PBL approach for course delivery, and the Waterfall model for completing the website project. The result shows that the students could complete the website development project in a timely manner by using Wix as their web design platform and adopting the Waterfall model as their project management approach. In addition, the students also benefitted from the PBL approach. The outcomes of this study will be of great benefit to educators, particularly in their role in helping students complete their website development projects.

High-order thinking skills (HOTS) are part of 21st-century abilities. However, students still need help solving problems, especially in simple harmonic motion material, which several studies have proved to be relatively low in HOTS. Students' HOTS abilities will be trained with various learning strategies, such as a combination of teaching materials and learning models using technology. This study aims to develop an E-ILAU (Independent Learning Activity Unit Electronic) using PjBL (Project Learning)-STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) integrated with TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) to improve the HOTS of high school students on simple harmonic motion topics. This research and development adapts the ADDIE design with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Data collection instruments and data analysis techniques in this study included a product validation questionnaire to determine product validity, an E-ILAU readability test questionnaire to determine product legibility before being tested, a learning implementation observation sheet to determine product practicality, and a topic of higher order thinking skills in Simple Harmonic Motion topics to find out the effectiveness of the product obtained from the pretest-posttest in terms of the results of the difference test, n-gain, and effect size. E-ILAU was implemented using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that the validity of E-ILAU was a very valid category, the readability of E-ILAU was outstanding, and the practicality of E-ILAU in learning was carried out by the lesson plan, which received a positive response from students. As well as the effectiveness of E-ILAU in the practical category of increasing higher-order thinking skills. The results showed that the PjBL-STEM-based E-ILAU integrated with TPACK was classified as valid, practical, and effective for improving the high-level thinking skills of high school students in Simple Harmonic Motion topics.

Let (A,C,ℬ)\left({\mathcal{A}},{\mathcal{C}},{\mathcal{ {\mathcal B} }}) be a recollement of exact categories. An explicit procedure about gluing complete hereditary cotorsion pairs from A{\mathcal{A}} and ℬ{\mathcal{ {\mathcal B} }} to C{\mathcal{C}} has been established by Hu et al. to provide a new method on the construction of recollements of triangulated categories. In this article, we study when the validity of Enochs conjecture for the left-hand classes of those complete hereditary cotorsion pairs is preserved in the aforementioned gluing procedure. Applications are given to cotorsion pairs induced by the class of projective objects or Gorenstein projective objects over comma categories.

ABSTRACT The impact of a concentrate-rich (CR) diet on the gut microbiome and epithelium homeostasis is well documented. However, it has not been systematically studied whether and how host-microbial interaction contributes to the immune homeostasis in the rumen and colon of lambs fed alfalfa hay and wheat straw, alone or combined, in a CR diet. In all, 63 lambs (initial body weight, 16.69 ± 1.50 kg) were randomly allotted to three dietary groups, each consisting of three pens with seven lambs per pen. Over 14 weeks, the lambs were fed diets as follows: 60% concentrate supplemented with either 40% wheat straw (WG), 20% alfalfa hay combined with 20% wheat straw (MG), or 40% alfalfa hay (AG). The present findings showed that lambs in the AG group had greater (P < 0.05) IgG and lower (P = 0.067) tumor necrosis factor-alpha concentrations relative to those in the MG and WG groups. The 16S rRNA analysis highlighted that various bacterial phyla and genera in the rumen and colon preferentially degrade fiber and starch derived from alfalfa hay and wheat straw. The weighted gene co-expression network analysis revealed that the bacterial genera from the Firmicutes are broadly associated with genes involved in various signaling pathways, underscoring the potential role of Firmicutes as key drivers of host-microbial interactions under the present feeding conditions. These findings shed light on the fact that the rumen and colon immune homeostasis is distinctively influenced by diets of alfalfa hay, wheat straw, or their combination in a CR diet. Further studies should examine the prolonged effects of replacing wheat straw with alfalfa hay in a concentrate-rich diet formulated to provide equivalent neutral detergent fiber levels. This could reveal how various forage fibers influence host-microbial interactions and gut health.IMPORTANCEIn contemporary feedlots, a growing trend is to feed animals a concentrate-rich (CR) diet that could disrupt the synchronized interplay between microbes and host metabolism, leading to altered metabolic functions. Wheat straw and alfalfa hay have different levels of protein and neutral detergent fiber, each with varying rates of digestion. It is unclear how including alfalfa hay and wheat straw, alone or combined in a CR diet, influences the host-microbial consortia and immune homeostasis. Herein, we showed that rumen and colon showed differential immune responses to the alfalfa hay, wheat straw, or both. Bacterial genera preferentially degrade fiber and starch derived from alfalfa hay, wheat straw, or both. Bacterial genera from Firmicutes phylum play a pivotal role in driving the host-microbial interactions, as indicated by their extensive association with genes across various signaling pathways.

ObjectiveWe aimed to investigate the clinical features of children with plastic bronchitis caused by pneumonia, and assess the risk factors for pleural effusion (PE) in plastic bronchitis.MethodsA retrospective study was conducted on children with plastic bronchitis and hospitalized in Xiamen Children’s Hospital from January 2017 to April 2023. Participants were categorized based on the presence of PE. Their clinical manifestations and laboratory findings were analyzed.ResultsSixty-nine children with plastic bronchitis were enrolled: 34 cases (49.27%) in the non-PE group and 35 cases (50.72%) in the PE group. No significant differences were found in sex, age, and etiology between the two groups. Significant differences were found in fever duration, C-reactive protein (CRP), albumin and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) (p31.66 mg/L or LDH >551 U/L. The prediction of PE was performed with the combination of CRP >31.66 mg/L and LDH >551 U/L, using multivariate logistic regression analysis. The area under the curve (AUC) for logistic regression was 0.797. Elevated CRP increased the risk of PE (odds ratio [OR] 8.358, 95% confidence interval [CI] 2.179–42.900, p=0.0042), elevated LDH increased the risk of PE (OR 5.851 [95% CI 1.950–19.350], p=0.0023).ConclusionThe combined detection of CRP and LDH helps predict the risk of PE in children with plastic bronchitis caused by pneumonia.

Salinization is a severe threat to agriculture and the environment in many areas, and the same in Qaidam Basin, Qinghai Province, Northwestern China. Microorganisms have an important influence on regulating the biochemical cycles of ecosystems; however, systematic research exploring microbial diversity and interactions with saline-soil ecosystems’ environmental variables remains scarce. Thus, 16 S rRNA high-throughput sequencing was performed in this paper to characterize microbial diversity under different levels of salinized soils: non-salinized (NS, 2.25 g/L), moderately salinized (MS, 6.14 g/L) and highly salinized (HS, 9.82 g/L). The alpha diversity results showed that the HS soil was significantly different from the NS and MS soils. An analysis of similarity (ANOSIM) and a principal co-ordinates analysis (PCoA) indicated that NS and MS clustered closely while HS separated from the other two. Significant differences in microbial composition were observed at the taxonomic level. Proteobacteria (42.29–79.23 %) were the most abundant phyla in the studied soils. Gammaproteobacteria (52.49 and 66.61 %) had higher abundance in the MS and HS soils at the class level; Methylophaga and Pseudomonas were the predominant bacteria in the HS soil; and Azotobacter and Methylobacillus were abundant in the MS soil. Most genera belonging to Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria were detected via a linear discriminate analysis (LDA) effect size (LEfSe) analysis, which indicated that microbes with the ability to degrade organic matter and accomplish nutrient cycling can be well-adapted to salt conditions. Further analyses (redundancy analysis and Mantel test) showed that the microbial communities were mainly related to the soil salinity, electrical conductivity (EC1:5), total phosphorus (TP) and ammonia nitrogen (NH4+-N). Overall, the findings of the study can provide insights for better understanding the dominant indigenous microbes and their roles in biochemical cycles in different saline soils in the Qaidam Basin, Qinghai Province, China. The researches related to microbial community under typical poplar species should further clarify the mechanism of plant-microbial interaction and benefit for microbial utilization in salt soil remediation.

The online monitoring data of lightning arresters are susceptible to environmental temperature， humidity， and surface contaminants. However， conventional alarm threshold setting approaches for leakage current may result in false alarms. To address this issue， this paper proposes an online monitoring alarm algorithm for arresters based on the trend comparison of three-phase data. This algorithm utilizes a temperature and humidity suppression algorithm to mitigate their influence on the resistive current. It calculates the imbalance coefficients of the three-phase resistive current based on the corrected resistive current data and formulates alarm rules by combining them with the alarm thresholds of the resistive current. The algorithm is validated using lightning arresters in a 220 kV substation. Compared to the original single alarm rule， this alarm strategy effectively reduces the false alarm rate and improves the accuracy and practicality of online monitoring alarms.

Abstract Background This study aimed to compare the visual outcomes of the first operated eyes with those of the second operated eyes following small-incision lenticule extraction (SMILE). Methods A total of 202 patients (404 eyes) underwent SMILE using the tear film mark centration method for myopia and myopic astigmatism correction. Baseline characteristics, objective optical quality, decentered displacement, induced corneal aberrations, and modulation transfer function (MTF) values were assessed. Linear regression analyzed the relationship between decentration and visual quality parameters, including corneal aberrations and MTF values. Results No significant difference was observed in objective visual quality, efficacy, and safety indexes between the two groups (all P > 0.05). The average decentered displacement for the first and second surgical eyes was 0.278 ± 0.17 mm and 0.315 ± 0.15 mm, respectively (P = 0.002). The horizontal coma in the first surgical eyes were notably lower than in the second (P = 0.000). Abstract The magnetic type-II Weyl semimetal (MWSM) Co3Sn2S2 has recently been found to host a variety of remarkable phenomena including surface Fermi-arcs, giant anomalous Hall effect, and negative flat band magnetism. However, the dynamic magnetic properties remain relatively unexplored. Here, we investigate the ultrafast spin dynamics of Co3Sn2S2 crystal using time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect and reflectivity spectroscopies. We observe a transient magnetization behavior, consisting of spin-flipping dominated fast demagnetization, slow demagnetization due to overall half-metallic electronic structures, and an unexpected ultrafast magnetization enhancement lasting hundreds of picoseconds upon femtosecond laser excitation. By combining temperature-, pump fluence-, and pump polarization-dependent measurements, we unambiguously demonstrate the correlation between the ultrafast magnetization enhancement and the Weyl nodes. Our theoretical modelling suggests that the excited electrons are spin-polarized when relaxing, leading to the enhanced spin-up density of states near the Fermi level and the consequently unusual magnetization enhancement. Our results reveal the unique role of the Weyl properties of Co3Sn2S2 in femtosecond laser-induced spin dynamics.

Abstract Extensive investigations on the moiré magic angle in twisted bilayer graphene have unlocked the emerging field—twistronics. Recently, its optics analogue, namely opto-twistronics, further expands the potential universal applicability of twistronics. However, since heat diffusion neither possesses the dispersion like photons nor carries the band structure as electrons, the real magic angle in electrons or photons is ill-defined for heat diffusion, making it elusive to understand or design any thermal analogue of magic angle. Here, we introduce and experimentally validate the twisted thermotics in a twisted diffusion system by judiciously tailoring thermal coupling, in which twisting an analog thermal magic angle would result in the function switching from cloaking to concentration. Our work provides insights for the tunable heat diffusion control, and opens up an unexpected branch for twistronics -- twisted thermotics, paving the way towards field manipulation in twisted configurations including but not limited to fluids.

This article proposes a time-synchronized fault-tolerant convergence control method for n-degree-of-freedom robotic manipulators. The main challenge lies in driving the tracking errors of all joints to converge simultaneously, especially in the presence of system faults, external disturbances, and model uncertainties. We introduce a normalized sign function that guarantees the property of ratio persistence for all joints and plays a crucial role in time-synchronized convergence control. A time-synchronized convergence observer is proposed that not only adopts a time-synchronized convergence control framework but also overcomes the lumped uncertainty term, which includes the system fault components, external disturbances, and system uncertainties. A salient feature of this method is that, regardless of the initial state and various uncertainties, each component of the robot manipulator system can simultaneously converge to an equilibrium point. Simulations conducted on a two-link robotic manipulator demonstrate the notable benefits of the designed time-synchronized control method, as evidenced by the comparative results.

This work presents a rat optimization algorithm (ROA), which simulates the social behavior of rats and is a new nature-inspired optimization technique. The ROA consists of three operators that simulate rats searching for prey, chasing and fighting prey, and jumping and hunting prey to deal with optimization issues. The Levy flight strategy is introduced into the ROA to keep the algorithm from running into issues with slow convergence and local optimums. The ROA is tested with four real-world engineering optimization issues and twenty-two benchmark functions. Experiments show that the ROA is particularly effective at solving real-world optimization problems compared to other well-known optimization techniques.

Due to the uncertainty of trauma or infection, customized bone substitutes are often required in clinic. Meanwhile, excessive use of antibiotics may lead to drug resistance. Therefore, the design of anti-infection bone tissue engineering scaffold is of very important. In this study, porous titanium alloy bone tissue engineering scaffolds were designed and fabricated by 3D printing. TiO2 nanotubes were further constructed on the scaffolds through electrochemical anodic oxidation, achieving the drug loading and anti-infection functions. The micron-level bionic pores were fabricated by the 3D printing process, and the secondary nanoscale-level nanotubes were achieved through the anodic oxidation process. Thereafter, the micro–nano structured porous bone tissue engineering scaffolds are presented. This structure features that the drug release rate can be regulated by loading the anti-infection drug minocycline and coating them with poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) in the nanotubes. According to the results, the micro–nano composite porous scaffold showed uniform and controllable micro–nano pores, it may load anti-infection drugs and shown anti-infection ability. In addition, the PLGA coating may delay the drug release and maintain a sustained anti-infection function for the scaffold in a week. This study provides new ideas for designing antibacterial bone tissue engineering scaffold.

Data governance capability is fundamental to coal mine intelligence construction. It could accelerate the intelligent construction of coal mines and promote the digital transformation of the coal industry so as to building a modern energy system in digital China. This paper therefore discusses the theory and methods of improving data governance capability for intelligent coal mines. Specifically, this study analyzes its strategic demands of intelligent coal mine construction on data governance and offers a working definition for data governance capability for intelligent coal mines. Then an evaluative system is proposed for the evaluation of data governance capability for intelligent coal mines. Further, by drawing on capability maturity theory, this study establishes a maturity model that specifies the improvement path of data governance capability for intelligent coal mines. Finally, based on the PDCA cycle theory, this paper puts forward strategies for improving data governance capability for intelligent coal mines, in order to 1)supplement existing theories of data governance capability enhancement, and 2)provide references for future practices of data governance.

Abstract Auxins and their analogs are widely used to promote root growth, flower and fruit development, and yield in crops. The action characteristics and application scope of various auxins are different. To overcome the limitations of existing auxins, expand the scope of applications, and reduce side effects, it is necessary to screen new auxin analogs. Here, we identified 3,4-dichlorophenylacetic acid (Dcaa) as having auxin-like activity and acting through the auxin signaling pathway in plants. At the physiological level, Dcaa promotes the elongation of oat coleoptile segments, the generation of adventitious roots, and the growth of crop roots. At the molecular level, Dcaa induces the expression of auxin-responsive genes and acts through auxin receptors. Molecular docking results showed that Dcaa can bind to auxin receptors, among which TIR1 has the highest binding activity. Application of Dcaa at the root tip of the DR5:GUS auxin-responsive reporter induces GUS expression in the root hair zone, which requires the PIN2 auxin efflux carrier. Dcaa also inhibits the endocytosis of PIN proteins like other auxins. These results provide a basis for the application of Dcaa in agricultural practices.

In response to the impact of the widespread integration of new energy sources on the secure operation of distribution networks， a study is undertaken to explore a multi-time scale interactive strategy for distributed electro-hydrogen coupled systems， incorporating hybrid energy storage and distribution networks. Firstly， interactive mechanisms including the balancing service mechanism and demand response mechanism between distributed electro-hydrogen coupled systems and distribution networks are proposed. Secondly， based on game theory， medium-to-long-term and short-term interactive strategies are formulated for electro-hydrogen coupled systems and distribution networks. Finally， a simulation analysis is executed utilizing the distribution networks and distributed electro-hydrogen coupled system in a representative region as an illustrative example. The outcomes of the case study underscore that hydrogen storage exhibits an advantage in medium-to-long-term interactions due to its cross-period characteristics. Electrochemical storage， distinguished by its rapid response， proves more suitable for short-term interactions. In comparison to singular energy storage systems， a hybrid electro-hydrogen storage system can effectively mitigate difference between peak and valley loads， enhancing system benefits， and seamlessly aligning with the existing distribution network system.

Psoriasis is accepted as a chronic, inflammatory, immune-mediated skin disease triggered by complex environmental and genetic factors. For a long time, disease recurrence, drug rejection, and high treatment costs have remained enormous challenges and burdens to patients and clinicians. Natural products with effective immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory activities from medicinal plants have the potential to combat psoriasis and complications. Herein, an imiquimod (IMQ)-induced psoriasis-like dermatitis model is established in mice. The model mice are treated with 1% rutaecarpine (RUT) (external use) or the oral administration of RUT at different concentrations. Furthermore, high-throughput 16S rRNA gene sequencing is applied to analyze the changes in the diversity and composition of the gut microbiota. Based on the observation of mouse dorsal skin changes, RUT can protect against inflammation to improve psoriasis-like skin damage in mice. Additionally, RUT could suppress the expression levels of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-23, IL-17A, IL-22, IL-6, and IFN-α) within skin tissue samples. Concerning gut microbiota, we find obvious variations within the composition of gut microflora between IMQ-induced psoriasis mice and RUT-treated psoriasis mice. RUT effectively mediates the recovery of gut microbiota in mice induced by IMQ application. Psoriasis is linked to the production of several inflammatory cytokines and gut microbiome alterations. This research shows that RUT might restore gut microbiota homeostasis, reduce inflammatory cytokine production, and ameliorate psoriasis symptoms. In conclusion, the gut microbiota might be a therapeutic target or biomarker for psoriasis that aids in clinical diagnosis and therapy.

The multicore fiber amplifier, as a key component in spatial division multiplexing (SDM) communication systems, presents higher technical difficulty compared to traditional multi-channel single core fiber amplifiers, which has sparked widespread attention. To achieve balance, efficiency, miniaturization, and cost-effectiveness in the performance of multi-core optical fiber amplifiers, we propose an innovative triple cladding 13-core Er/Yb co-doped microstructured fiber (13CEYDMOF). The proposed fiber features an outer cladding with peanut-shaped air holes, which enables uniform excitation of the 13 cores using a single multimode laser pump source within the inner cladding. This approach also prevents damage or aging of the fiber’s outer coating due to the pump laser. Furthermore, the design of Peanut-Shaped Air Holes effectively increases the numerical aperture (NA) of the inner cladding while reducing the outer diameter of the fiber, enhancing the fiber’s mechanical flexibility. To address the coupling difficulties caused by air holes, we bi-directionally pump the 13CEYDMOFA by utilizing a combined technique of the side winding and end pumping. The experimental results show that the 13CEYDMOFA can achieve an average gain of 23.8 dB, a noise figure (NF) of ∼4.6 dB, and an inter-core gain difference of less than 2 dB in the wavelength range of 1529–1565 nm. The in-line amplified transmission experiment demonstrates that the 13CEYDMOFA is well suited for the 13 spatial channels transmission. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time to realize high performance telecommunication band amplification in a multicore microstructure fiber.

With the continuous improvement on the preparation process of the carbon nanotube-reinforced aluminum matrix composites, the difficult dispersion problem of the carbon nanotubes has been properly solved, and the composite strength has been improved, but the high modulus and high strength of the composites have not been fully utilized, and the “strength-plastic” inversion phenomenon has appeared. The adjustment methods of interface structure, grain structure, and composite configuration design of the carbon/aluminum composites in recent years were summarized in this paper, the influence of interface structure strength on the load transfer efficiency of the carbon nanotubes was discussed, the causes of inversion phenomenon were analyzed, and the control ideas were proposed to solve the problem of poor plastic toughness of the composites, providing the basis for preparing the carbon nanotube-reinforced aluminum matrix composites with high strength and toughness.

In this paper, a new-type time-varying asymmetric integral barrier function is designed to handle the state constraint of nonlinear systems. The barrier Lyapunov function is developed by building an integral upper limit function with respect to transformation errors over an open set to cope with the position constraint of the robotic system. We know that the symmetric time-invariant constraint is only a particular situation of the asymmetric time-variant constraint, and thus compared to existing methods, it is capable of handling more general and broad practical engineering issues. We show that under the integral barrier Lyapunov function combining a disturbance observer-based tracking controller, the position vector tracks a desired trajectory successfully, while the constraint boundary is never violated. It can certify the exponential asymptotic stability of the robotic tracking system by using the given inequality relationship on barrier function and Lyapunov analysis. Finally, the feasibility of the presented algorithm is indicated by completing the simulations.

To study the mechanical properties of saturated sandstone, experiments were conducted under hydro-mechanical coupling on saturated sandstone. A damage constitutive model was established to describe the response of saturated sandstone under pore pressure, and its validity was verified using the results of the triaxial tests. The results indicate that the peak strength (σ p), effective peak strength (σ p′), residual strength (σ r), effective normal stress (σ n′), effective shear strength (τ n′), elasticity modulus (E), and rupture angle (θ) of sandstone are positively correlated with the confining pressure (σ 3) and negatively correlated with the pore pressure (P). Conversely, Poisson’s ratio (μ) exhibits an opposite relationship. The model parameters exhibit non-linear relationships with the confining pressure (σ 3), with the parameter m decreasing gradually as the confining pressure increases, and the parameter F 0 increasing with higher confining pressure (σ 3). Moreover, the pore pressure (P) and the confining pressure (σ 3) significantly affect the damage variables (D), with the stress value at the damage initiation point increasing with increasing confining pressure (σ 3), while the strain value at the damage initiation point decreasing with increasing pore pressure (P), indicating that pore pressure induces damage development in rocks.

Wasted clay bricks as coarse aggregate of recycled concrete is an effective solution to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions in the construction industry. However, the mechanical properties and frost resistance of recycled brick aggregate (RBA) concrete are inferior to those of ordinary concrete, which limits its widespread application. In this research, the effects of RBA, polypropylene fiber (PPF) and nano-silica (NS) on the mechanical properties and frost resistance of concrete were investigated. The effect of RBA, PPF, and NS on the compressive strength was quantitatively analyzed, and microstructural analysis and fractal dimension calculation of the concrete were performed. The results show that the concrete compressive strength decreased with the increase in RBA replacement rate, and it was effectively improved by adding PPF and NS (PPF-NS). The compressive strength first increased and then decreased with the increase in PPF and NS. The improvement effect of 0.12% PPF and 2% NS on the compressive strength of 50% replacement rate of RBA concrete was most effective. The gray relational degrees between the compressive strength and RBA, PPF, and NS were 0.6578, 0.8297, and 0.5941, respectively. The frost resistance of PPF-NS modified concrete was better than that of ordinary concrete, mainly manifested in its superior apparent phenomena, mass loss, and strength loss. Compared with normal concrete, the microstructure was denser and the fractal dimension of the cross-section was higher for RBA concrete modified with PPF-NS before and after freeze–thaw cycles.

This article introduces an innovative trajectory tracking control methodology for a marine vessel with disturbances. The vessel is driven to track a predetermined trajectory while preventing the constraint violation of the position error. A universal barrier Lyapunov function (BLF) is, for the first time, established to resolve the variable constraint. It should be emphasized that the devised barrier function can handle constraint types including time-varying, time-invariant, symmetric, and asymmetric forms, and it can be employed to devise control schemes for unconstrained systems. Consequently, in comparison to the current BLF-based techniques for vessels, it can be flexible for dealing with practical control issues with or without constraints. A simplified disturbance observer performs estimations of ocean disturbances. It is proven that all the error variables can be exponentially stabilized to a small neighborhood close to the equilibrium point, while violations of the constraints on the position error never occur. The feasibility of the theoretical discoveries is shown by the outcomes of the final simulation.

A time-synchronized (TS) convergence control method for robotic manipulators is proposed. Adversely to finite-time control, a notion of time-synchronization convergence is introduced based on the ratio persistence property, which can ensure that all system components converge simultaneously in a finite time. Firstly, a robust disturbance observer is constructed to be compatible with the time-synchronized control framework and precisely estimate system uncertainties. Furthermore, we design a (finite) time-synchronized controller to ensure that all states of the robotic manipulator simultaneously converge to an equilibrium point, irrespective of initial conditions. Stability analysis shows the feasibility of the proposed TS control method. At last, simulations are performed with a two-link rehabilitation robotic system, and the comparison results indicate its superiority.

Abstract Background This study aimed to assess the impact of the increased prevalence of sanitary toilets in rural areas on the health of rural residents, and whether the popularity thereof has a positive externality. This study investigates whether the broader use of sanitary toilets has had a positive effect on the health of people who do not have access to them. Methods Data from the China Family Panel Studies from 2012 to 2014 and a two-way fixed effect model were used to investigate the relationship between the prevalence of village sanitary toilets and the health of rural residents of all ages. Results The results showed that: (1) the increase in the prevalence of sanitary toilets in villages is conducive to improving the health level of rural residents; (2) the widespread adoption of sanitary toilets in rural areas has improved the health of not only residents with access to these toilets but also residents without access; (3) the health of children is more sensitive to improvements in sanitary conditions of toilets; and (4) there are significant regional differences in the impact of the popularity of sanitary toilets on the health of rural residents. Conclusions This study found that the popularity of sanitary toilets has externalities, improving not only the health of residents who use them but also the health of other residents. This study enriches the literature in the field of health effects of sanitation improvement, while providing a reference for developing countries to further enhance the living environment in rural areas. In the future, the popularization of sanitary toilets should be vigorously promoted to reduce the incidence of diseases.

Magnesium hydroxide modified activated carbon (Mg-HAAC) was obtained from the raw material of activated carbon of Prunus mira Koehne shell prepared by phosphoric acid chemical activation method (HAAC). And the physicochemical properties, Copper (II) adsorption capacity and mechanism between them were investigated. Results showed that the maximum loading rate of HAAC on magnesium hydroxide was up to 3.77%, and the Mg-HAAC has the highest adsorption capacity on Copper (II) of 23.88 mg/g when the concentration of magnesium chloride used during modification was 2.0 mol/L. The small photoelectron peak of Mg1 s at the binding energy of 1304.08 eV in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) plot, the strong diffraction peak at the ϴ value of 19°, 38°, and 51° in the X-ray diffraction (XRD) plot, and the irregular small particles on the surface of sample in the scanning electron microscope (SEM) image all indicated HAAC had been successfully modified to Mg-HAAC. pH would affect the adsorption capacity of HAAC and Mg-HAAC on Copper (II), and the maximum adsorption capacity occurred at pH value of 7.0. The specific surface area increased from 1551.3 m 2 /g of HAAC to 1617.5 m 2 /g of Mg-HAAC. Under the optimal adsorption conditions, the maximum Copper (II) adsorption capacities of HAAC and Mg-HAAC reached up to be 41.92 and 58.03 mg/g, respectively. The analysis results of adsorption isotherm model, adsorption kinetics model, and thermodynamic indicate that the adsorption of Copper (II) by both HAAC and Mg-HAAC was monolayer chemical adsorption with an exothermic spontaneous process. These indicated magnesium hydroxide modification could significantly improve the adsorption capacity of HAAC on Copper (II), and the modified Mg-HAAC could be developed and utilized as an effective adsorbent for Copper (II) containing wastewater.

In this study, we conducted indoor temporary plugging and diverting fracturing (TPDF) experiments on samples of natural deep and shallow coal seams using a small-scale true triaxial fracturing simulation system. By integrating high-precision CT scanning technology and crack reconstruction techniques, and relying on the quantitative characterization of the crack complexity coefficient, we investigated the differences in internal structures between deep and shallow coal seam samples and the variations in the expansion of TPDF cracks. Furthermore, the study primarily focused on exploring the influence of temporary plugging agent (TPA) parameters (quantity and particle size) on the expansion patterns of TPDF cracks in deep coal seam coal-rock samples. The experimental results reveal that in shallow coal samples, artificially induced fractures are notably longer and extend to various surfaces of the samples. Conversely, in deep coal samples, the expansion of artificially induced fractures is influenced by well-developed cleavage and cleats. The crack complexity coefficient of artificial fractures in deep coal samples is 1.54 higher than that in shallow coal samples, with an increased crack width of 98 μm. However, the expansion distance of the fractures is shorter and does not extend to the S3 and S6 surfaces. Increasing the dosage of the TPA is advantageous for inducing frequent redirection of fractures and communication with previously untouched areas. When the dosage of the TPA is increased from 30 g/L to 60 g/L, the expansion distance of artificial fractures significantly increases, extending to various surfaces of the samples. The crack complexity coefficient increases by 1.1, and the crack width enlarges by 84 μm. Appropriate particle sizes of the TPA can effectively form seals. However, small particle sizes (200/400 mesh) struggle to seal initial fractures, while large particle sizes (10/20 mesh) can lead to excessive wellhead blockage, causing rapid shut-in pressure, destructive fracturing in deep coal samples, and the generation of a large amount of coal fines. This study holds significant guidance for the optimal selection of process parameters in the temporary plugging hydraulic fracturing of deep coal rock.

Auxin plays an essential role in regulating Arabidopsis growth and development. YUCCA (YUC) family genes encode flavin monooxygenases, which are rate-limiting enzymes in the auxin biosynthetic pathway. Previous studies showed that YUC8 overexpression (YUC8 OE), as well as ectopic expression of YUC8 driven by GL2 (GLABRA 2) and TT12 (TRANSPARENT TESTA 12) promoters, which are specifically expressed in the epidermis and inner seed integument, respectively, produced larger seeds compared to the Col. However, the impact of these transgenic lines on the vegetative growth of Arabidopsis remains unclear. Here, we show that the GL2pro:YUC8-GFP and TT12pro:YUC8-GFP transgenic plants produce a moderate excessive auxin accumulation phenotype compared to the YUC8 OE. These two transgenic lines produced smaller rosette and leaf, higher plant height, fewer branches, and longer siliques. These data will provide a basis for the study of the relationship between the ectopic expression of auxin synthesis genes and crop yield.

Neuroblastoma (NB) is one of the most common malignant solid tumors in children, ranks fourth in the incidence of pediatric tumors, and accounts for 15% of pediatric tumor deaths in children in China. Despite the development of new treatment options, the prognosis for high-risk patients is still poor. An animal model that can replicate the tumorigenesis of NB is an important tool for the prevention and treatment of NB. However, there are currently no animal models that can simulate all features of human NB. To provide a reference for the construction of animal models and treatment of NB, this article introduced several animal models of NB that have been extensively researched: the mouse, chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane, and zebrafish models. At the same time, it elaborated on the species, construction methods, characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, and research progress in NB.

We have designed a high-resolution magnetic field imaging system using 256 unpackaged Hall elements. These unpackaged Hall elements are arranged in a Hall linear array, and the distance between adjacent elements reaches 255 µm. The sensitivity of the unpackaged Hall element array can be adjusted using a computer to measure magnetic environments with different magnetic field strengths. High-resolution magnetic field images of 256 × 256 pixels can be generated by moving the array using the X–Y axis motorized rail. This spatial resolution can reach 99.61 pixels per inch (ppi). This rail allows for the spatial resolution of the system to be further increased to 199.22 ppi by using a special movement route. In the experiments, we employ this system to image magnetized metal scissors, and the result displays the structural features of the scissor surface. We also detected the magnetic suction wireless charging coil inside an Apple phone. The image obtained shows the shape of the coil and the gap between the magnets. The high-resolution magnetic imaging system displays the magnetic characteristics of the sample very well and easily obtains information about small-shaped structures and defects on the sample surface. This provides the system with potential in several fields such as quality inspection, security, biomedicine, and detection imaging.
