Diabetic nephropathy represents a predominant etiology of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) on a global scale, significantly impacting the morbidity and mortality rates of individuals with diabetes. The primary objective of this analysis is to furnish a comprehensive examination of the etiology, fundamental mechanisms, and treatment modalities for DN. The development of DN stems from a multitude of factors, encompassing a intricate interplay involving metabolic irregularities induced by hyperglycemia, alterations in hemodynamics, inflammatory responses, oxidative stress, and genetic susceptibility. Principal mechanisms encompass the generation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs), activation of protein kinase C (PKC), and overexpression of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). These processes precipitate glomerular hyperfiltration, hypertrophy, and eventually, fibrosis and scarring of the renal parenchyma. Initially, hyperglycemia triggers mesangial proliferation and thickening of the glomerular basement membrane in the incipient stages of DN, subsequently leading to progressive glomerular sclerosis and tubulointerstitial fibrosis. Inflammatory cascades, notably involving cytokines like TGF-β and NF-κB, play pivotal roles in the advancement of DN by fostering the accumulation of extracellular matrix and renal fibrosis. Inflammation pathways, particularly those involving cytokines like TGF-β and NF-κB, play essential roles in diabetic nephropathy progression by stimulating extracellular matrix accumulation and renal fibrosis. Treating neurological illnesses is challenging because the blood-brain barrier hinders therapeutic medications from reaching the brain. Recent advances in polymeric nanocarriers (PNCs), which improve medication permeability across the blood-brain barrier, may influence therapy strategies for neurological diseases. PNCs have several ways to deliver medications to the nervous system. This review article provides a summary of the parts and manufacturing methods involved in making PNCs. Additionally, it highlights the elements that result in PNCs having enhanced blood-brain barrier penetration. A combination of passive and active targeting strategies is used by PNCs intended to overcome the blood-brain barrier. Among these are micellar structures, nanogels, nanoparticles, cubosomes, and dendrimers. These nanocarriers, which are functionalized with certain ligands that target BBB transporters, enable the direct delivery of drugs to the brain. Mainly, the BBB prevents medications from entering the brain. Understanding the BBB's physiological and anatomical characteristics is necessary to get over this obstacle. Alzheimer's disease (AD) remains one of the hardest neurodegenerative diseases to treat due to its enduring cognitive deterioration and memory loss. Despite extensive research, few viable treatment approaches have been found; these are mostly due to several barriers, such as the disease's complex biology, limited pharmaceutical efficacy, and the BBB. This presentation discusses current strategies for addressing these therapeutic barriers to enhance AD treatment. Innovative drug delivery methods including liposomes, exosomes, and nanoparticles may be able to pass the blood-brain barrier and allow medicine to enter specific brain regions. These innovative strategies of medicine distribution reduce systemic side effects by improving absorption. Moreover, the development of disease-modifying treatments that target tau protein tangles, amyloid-beta plaques, and neuroinflammation offers the chance to influence the course of the illness rather than only treat its symptoms. Previous research on solar box cookers focusing on the bulk usage of energy storage materials is a costly technique for performance enhancement. Bulk energy storage materials take much time to charge and, thus, result in a low rate of cooking at the start. Therefore, a hot box solar cooker has been developed and experimentally studied for thermal performance enhancement in a hilly region of Uttarakhand, India. A bed of phase change material (paraffin wax) filled with small capsule-shaped containers was prepared (detachable) and placed over the cooking tray of the tested cooker. These containers were vertically positioned over the bed to enhance the heat transfer rate inside the cooker to attain a fast-cooking response. Notably, the combined effect of extended geometry with PCM is an excellent method to increase the efficiency of a solar cooker. As per the author's knowledge, likely techniques have not been studied for a box cooker to achieve a fast-cooking rate in any hilly region up to date. The results of cooking tests show that the cooking plate attained a maximum temperature of about 150 °C. It is because of the combined effect of extended fins (vertical capsules) and PCM filled inside them. The results of the experimental study show that the thermal efficiency of the cooker was found to be about 45.7%, the cooking power was calculated about 54.71 W, the heat transfer coefficient was estimated about 311 W/m 2 °C, and the overall heat loss coefficient was computed about 5.71 W/m 2 °C. This modified cooker costs about $48.19, and the payback period is about 03 years and 11 months. This study explores the complex link between vitamin D and neurological illnesses, focusing on how vitamin D affects possible risk factors, therapeutic applications, and the trajectory of the disease. An epidemiological study has linked vitamin D insufficiency to several neurological conditions, including Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and multiple sclerosis. It is hypothesized that immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties of vitamin D contribute to its neuroprotective effects. Two major mechanisms in dementia include neuroinflammation and oxidative stress. Adequate levels of vitamin D have been shown in both animal models and human studies to enhance both clinical outcomes and the duration of illness in those who have it. Other ways that vitamin D contributes to its therapeutic potential include the production of neurotrophic factors, control over neurotransmitter synthesis, and preservation of the blood-brain barrier. Despite the encouraging outcomes, research is still being conducted to determine the optimal dosage and long-term benefits of vitamin D supplementation on brain function. Background Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that alters the alveolar bone structure, requiring treatment ranging from non-surgical to surgical periodontal therapies based on its severity. Surgical interventions, such as the modified Widman flap procedure and the open flap technique combined with methods like platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), guided tissue regeneration (GTR), and bone grafts, aim to reduce periodontal pockets and regenerate lost tissues. The presence of pathogenic bacteria and the absence of beneficial bacteria contribute to periodontitis, with probiotics-live microorganisms that offer health benefits emerging as a promising adjunct in periodontal therapy. Probiotics can inhibit harmful organisms and enhance the oral mucosal lining, potentially improving clinical outcomes when used alongside surgical procedures. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of combining probiotics with open flap debridement (OFD) in managing chronic periodontitis, comparing it to OFD alone. Methodology Eighty individuals were recruited in this double-blind, randomization clinically controlled, split-mouth trial. The enrolled individuals were categorized in a random manner into either Group A (OFD) or Group B (OFD with probiotic therapy, OFD + P). Results Based on the results, significant differences were observed between the OFD and OFD + P groups. At baseline, the mean probing pocket depth (PPD) was 6.49 mm in the OFD group and 5.68 mm in the OFD + P group. After three weeks, the PPD decreased to 4.71 mm in the OFD group and 3.95 mm in the OFD + P group, with a p-value of 0.021, indicating a significant difference. By 12 weeks, the PPD was 3.20 mm for OFD and 2.74 mm for OFD + P, though the difference was not statistically significant (p-value 0.108). For relative attachment level (RAL), a significant difference was noted after three weeks with a p-value of 0.018; however, differences at baseline and 12 weeks were not significant. The gingival index (GI) did not show significant differences between the groups at any time point. Within-group analyses revealed significant improvements in PPD, RAL, and GI for both groups over time, with all p-values < 0.001. The OFD + P group demonstrated superior outcomes compared to the OFD group in PPD and RAL after three weeks. Conclusion The use of probiotics in managing periodontal disease offers a cost-effective and convenient treatment option for periodontitis. Its integration into periodontal therapy should be emphasized for its potential benefits across all age groups, benefiting both periodontal surgeons and general dentists. Further research is needed to understand how well probiotics persist in the oral microflora and their precise effects on periodontal health. Objective: To compare outcomes in patients with repeated implantation failure undergoing Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection/In vitro fertilization (IVF/ICSI) plus immunosuppressants such as prednisolone, prednisone, or cyclosporine A versus the use of IVF/ICSI alone., Data Source: Databases were systematically searched in PubMed, Cochrane, and Embase databases in September 2023., Study Selection: Randomized clinical trials and observational studies with the outcomes of interest were included., Data Collect: We computed odds ratios (ORs) for binary endpoints, with 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Heterogeneity was assessed using I 2 statistics. Data were analyzed using Review Manager 5.4.The main outcomes were live birth, miscarriage, implantation rate, clinical pregnancy, and biochemical pregnancy., Data Synthesis: Seven studies with 2,829 patients were included. Immunosuppressive treatments were used in 1,312 (46.37%). Cyclosporine A improved implantation rate (OR 1.48; 95% CI 1.01-2.18) and clinical pregnancy (1.89, 95% CI 1.14-3.14). Compared to non-immunosuppressive treatment, prednisolone and prednisone did not improve live birth (OR 1.13, 95% CI 0.88-1.46) and miscarriage (OR 1.49, 95% CI 1.07-2.09). Prednisolone showed no significant effect in patients undergoing IVF/ICSI, clinical pregnancy (OR 1.34; 95% CI 0.76-2.36), or implantation rate (OR 1.36; 95% CI 0.76-2.42)., Conclusion: Cyclosporine A may promote implantation and clinical pregnancy rates. However, given the limited sample size, it is important to approach these findings with caution. The process of skin ageing is a natural biological phenomenon characterised by the emergence of wrinkles, age spots, sagging skin, and dryness over time. The increasing significance of skin in physical attractiveness has heightened skincare concerns. Anti-ageing cosmetics play a pivotal role in nurturing the skin, enhancing its quality, and promoting overall health. Today, cosmetics have evolved beyond mere aesthetics and are now integral to individual wellness. The contemporary quest for perpetual youth has intensified, prompting a deeper exploration into the skin ageing process. This comprehensive exploration delves into various elements involved in skin ageing, encompassing cells such as stem and endothelial cells, blood vessels, soft tissues, and signalling pathways. The molecular basis of skin ageing, including biochemical factors like reactive oxygen species, damaged DNA, free radicals, ions, and proteins (mRNA), is scrutinised alongside relevant animal models. The article critically analyzes the outcomes of utilising herbal components, emphasising their advantageous anti-ageing properties. The factors contributing to skin ageing, mechanistic perspectives, management approaches involving herbal cosmeceutical, and associated complications (especially cardiovascular diseases, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, etc.) are succinctly addressed. In addition, the manuscript further summarises the recent patented innovations and toxicity of the herbal cosmeceuticals for anti-ageing and ageing associated disorders. Purpose: To evaluate the possible outcomes of fetuses diagnosed with short femur length (FL) and to guide diagnosis through a step-wise imaging algorithm., Methods: This was a prospective cohort study of 42 pregnancies with fetal femur length (FL) below the 5th centile for gestational age. The cases were divided into two categories of isolated short FL & non-isolated short FL and followed up to determine the etiology., Results: There were 11 cases of non-isolated short FL with skeletal dysplasia observed in 7 and chromosomal abnormalities in 4 cases. There were 31 cases with isolated short FL in which fetal growth restriction (FGR) occurred in 14/31 (45%) cases; 13 out of 31 (42%) were constitutional (short for gestational age, SGA) whereas 4/31(13%) showed normal interval growth on follow up (false positive)., Conclusion: Short femur can be isolated or non-isolated. Short femur length can be a good predictor and early sign of FGR. Serial follow up scan of the all cases of isolated short FL is important since a majority of them are normal and not require any further intervention. Tuberculosis (TB) poses a significant occupational hazard for healthcare workers (HCWs) in India, a country bearing a substantial portion of the global TB burden. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to determine the prevalence of TB among HCWs in India. Analyzing ten studies up to 2024, we found a pooled prevalence of 2391.6 cases per 100,000 individuals, underscoring the critical occupational risk. Factors contributing to this high prevalence include inadequate ventilation, insufficient personal protective equipment, and frequent exposure to multidrug-resistant TB strains. Our findings emphasize the urgent need for stringent infection control measures, routine TB screening, and comprehensive educational programs. Policy recommendations include developing national TB screening guidelines and improving healthcare infrastructure. Protecting HCWs is crucial to achieving India's goal of TB elimination by 2025.

Remdesivir, a C-nucleotide prodrug binds to the viral RNA-dependent-RNA polymerase ( RdRp ) and inhibits the viral replication by terminating RNA transcription prematurely. It is reported in literature that interaction between the C-1'β-CN moiety of Remdesivir ( RDV ) and the Ser861 residue in RdRp enzyme, causes a delayed chain termination during the RNA replication process and is one of the important aspect of its mechanism of action. In the pursuance of increasing the biological activity of RDV and enhancing the SAR studies, against RNA viruses, we have designed its fourteen C1'β substituted analogs, 10 - 23 bearing 4/5-membered heterocyclic rings. The docking and 100 ns molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of 10 - 23 to the RdRp protein (PDB ID: 7L1F) revealed important interactions between 2',3'-diol, oxo group of phosphoramidate, nitrogen residues of heterocyclic rings of synthetic molecules with Arg555, Arg553, Ser759, Cys622, Asn691, Asp623 amino acid residues of protein. The docking score of 2-ethylbutyl ((S)-(((2R,3S,4R,5R)-5-(4-aminopyrrolo[2,1-f][1,2,4]triazin-7-yl)-3,4-dihydroxy-5-(1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)tetrahydrofuran-2-yl)methoxy)(phenoxy)phosphoryl)-L-alaninate, 11 was found to be the higher than RDV among 14 new compounds i.e. -5.20 kcal/mol. Out of 3 compounds, 10 , 12 and 13 submitted for MD simulations and Molecular Mechanics Poisson-Boltzmann Surface Area (MMPBSA) analysis, trifluoro-oxadiazole derivative, 13 showed higher binding energy as compared to Remdesivir. The predicted ADMET properties of 14 compounds showed their potential for being drug candidates. Introduction: The detection and treatment of diseases like COVID, diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular conditions, etc., have made medical imaging technology more necessary, so it is expected that the demands of imaging modalities are also increasing and are major contributors to carbon emissions in the healthcare industry. Hence, the Radiology departments, like the rest of the healthcare industry should adapt the procedures to become more sustainable., Methods: A total of 1016 respondents completed the online survey to assess the perception, current practices, and challenges in adopting green and sustainable practices in medical imaging. The radio technologists, teaching faculties, and students of medical imaging were recruited for the study. The survey tool was distributed to the closed groups through social media and emails., Results: The majority of participants (66.6%) highlighted the importance of green and sustainable practices in medical imaging whereas only 21.06% of participants seem to have implemented these practices. Most of the participants give positive responses on the use of zero-lead aprons (77%), refurbished medical systems (85.8%), and eco-friendly packaging (89.5%). The mixed response was received from waste segregation and energy-saving measures. The majority (60.3%) of them have no formal education or training. However, they have a good attitude towards the willingness to adopt green practices., Conclusions: There is a gap between perception and implementation of green and sustainable practices due to leadership and information barriers. Here, we have shown that the ability to target specific cellular and molecular components of psoriasis pathogenesis with nanoscale precision using phos-phodiesterase 4 inhibitors represents a transformative opportunity to address the complex nature of this dermatological condition., Objective: In this review, we have examined the molecular mechanisms behind the pathogenic features of psoriasis and new treatments being tested in clinical settings. There is research being done on new treatments created in the last ten years. This field highlights the advantages of nan-otechnological technologies as cutting-edge candidates for drug delivery systems in psoriasis and other inflammatory chronic skin disorders. Future Developments: Nanotechnology-based treatments currently under study show good effi-cacy and low side effect profiles. However, long-term prospective trials are required to demon-strate long-term safety and effectiveness. Purpose/Objective . Small-field measurement poses challenges. Although many high-resolution detectors are commercially available, the EPID for small-field dosimetry remains underexplored. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of EPID for small-field measurements and to derive tailored correction factors for precise small-field dosimetry verification. Material/Methods . Six high-resolution radiation detectors, including W2 and W1 plastic scintillators, Edge-detector, microSilicon, microDiamond and EPID were utilized. The output factors, depth doses and profiles, were measured for various beam energies (6 MV-FF, 6 MV-FFF, 10 MV-FF, and 10 MV-FFF) and field sizes (10 × 10 cm 2 , 5 × 5 cm 2 , 4 × 4 cm 2 , 3 × 3 cm 2 , 2 × 2 cm 2 , 1 × 1 cm 2 , 0.5 × 0.5 cm 2 ) using a Varian Truebeam linear accelerator. During measurements, acrylic plates of appropriate depth were placed on the EPID, while a 3D water tank was used with five-point detectors. EPID measured data were compared with W2 plastic scintillator and measurements from other high-resolution detectors. The analysis included percentage deviations in output factors, differences in percentage for PDD and for the profiles, FWHM, maximum difference in the flat region, penumbra, and 1D gamma were analyzed. The output factor and depth dose ratios were fitted using exponential functions and fractional polynomial fitting in STATA 16.2, with W2 scintillator as reference, and corresponding formulae were obtained. The established correction factors were validated using two Truebeam machines. Results . When comparing EPID and W2-PSD across all field-sizes and energies, the deviation for output factors ranged from 1% to 15%. Depth doses, the percentage difference beyond dmax ranged from 1% to 19%. For profiles, maximum of 4% was observed in the 100%-80% region. The correction factor formulae were validated with two independent EPIDs and closely matched within 3%. Conclusion . Drug delivery through the blood-brain barrier (BBB) is one of the key challenges in the modern era of medicine due to the highly semipermeable characteristics of BBB that restrict the entry of various drugs into the central nervous system (CNS) for the management of brain disorders. Drugs can be easily incorporated into carbon nanocarriers that can cross the bloodbrain barrier. Numerous nanocarriers have been developed, including polymeric nanoparticles, carbon nanoparticles, lipid-based nanoparticles, etc. Among these, carbon nanostructures could be superior due to their easier BBB penetration and strong biocompatibility. Several CDs (Carbon dots) and CD-ligand conjugates have explored effectively penetrating the BBB, which enables significant progress in using CD-based drug delivery systems (DDS) to manage CNS diseases. Despite the drug delivery applications, they might also be used as a central nervous system (CNS) drug; few of the carbon nanostructures show profound neurodegenerative activity. In situations where pulp degeneration and carious lesions may coexist, pulp therapy is a regularly employed method. Mineral trioxide aggregate, a material that is now utilized for indirect pulp treatment (IPT), is nontoxic and nonmutagenic. There is proof that the restoration margin can be sealed to manage the caries lesion. In terms of the clinical and radiological outcome, it has been demonstrated that IPT is more effective and secure than direct pulp capping and pulpotomy. The pulp capping treatment's goal is to protect the pulp from microorganisms as well as from thermal, electrical, chemical, and physical stimulation. There is evidence that suggests targeted caries clearance and composite restoration may stop caries lesions more effectively than full dentin removal. Various pulp capping materials that are available in the market were highlighted in this review, and the discussion of each material was expanded to demonstrate its clinical efficacy. Articles were specifically selected and discussed for the materials used for the IPT in the primary teeth as very few studies have been done so far in relation to this subject. Introduction: Traumatic brain injury (TBI), ranging from minor impacts to severe cases, affects temporal and frontal brain areas, contributing to mortality and disability worldwide. The Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) evaluates consciousness levels, aiding in prioritizing emergency care, while the Disability Rating Score (DRS) assesses overall function, particularly in severe cases, with greater sensitivity than GCS for clinical changes in TBI patients., Objectives: To correlate various factors with each other in patients presented with severe TBIs., Materials and Methods: The retrospective study analyzed data from patients with severe TBIs admitted to the hospital from February 2023 to April 2024. Patients' demographic and clinical data, including GCS and DRS scores, were collected. Statistical analysis, including logistic regression, assessed mortality predictors., Results: The study revealed significant correlations (p<0.05) between age and marital status (p=0.002) and surgery (p=0.003). Surgery also correlated significantly with the mechanism of injury (p<0.001). Furthermore, a negative correlation was found between GCS after 24 hours and change in GCS (p<0.001), while a positive correlation existed between DRS after 24 hours and DRS on the 14th day (p<0.001). Purpose: To assess the efficacy of Herbert cannulated bone screw versus Lag screw in fixation of oblique mandibular fractures., Materials and Method: Study composed of two groups of 20 patients each and descriptive statistics were performed with p value set at 0.05 with confidence interval of 95%. Group A was treated by Titanium Lag screws; while, Group B was treated by Titanium Herbert Cannulated Bone Screws for the management of oblique mandibular fractures. Postoperatively, all the patients were evaluated clinically and radiographically by recording the incidence of complications (if any) which included trismus, neurosensory deficit, swelling, infection. Parameters such as occlusal discrepancy, rigid fixation (interfragmentary gap) and duration of surgery were also recorded for all the patients., Results: All the patients were followed for a period of three months. Difference in mouth opening was found to be statistically significant during 1st month follow-up ( p -Value-0.002). Postoperatively, the mean interfragmentary gap in Group A was significantly more than Group B ( p -Value-0.000). Other parameters like neurosensory deficits, occlusal discrepancies, chewing efficiency, stability of fractured fragments and post-operative complications in terms of swelling, hardware exposure, radiolucency surrounding screw and wound dehiscence did not show any statistically significant difference., Conclusion: The obtained results showed that both lag screws and Herbert cannulated bone screws fulfill the treatment goals of adequate reduction, fixation and stabilization of oblique mandibular fractures. Corneal crosslinking (CXL) is used for treating keratoconus and post-laser in situ keratomileusis ectasia. However, refractive surgery is not usually performed with prophylactic CXL. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis comparing outcomes of refractive surgeries with vs without prophylactic CXL. We systematically searched databases for studies comparing refractive surgeries for myopic correction with vs without prophylactic corneal crosslinking. Review Manager 5.4.1 was used to perform statistical analysis. We included 2820 eyes from 28 studies. Compared with refractive surgery alone, surgery with prophylactic CXL resulted in decreased central corneal thickness, corrected distance visual acuity logMAR, and safety and efficacy indices. There were no significant differences in postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity of 20/20 or better at ≥12 months and other visual outcomes among both groups. Herbal extracts, derived from ancient medicinal herbs, have been used by people for years to treat a wide range of ailments. Recent studies have shown the efficacy of these strategies in improving lipid profiles, glucose metabolism, and overall cardiovascular health. Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals are just a few of the numerous nutritional supplements that are critical to metabolic health. These vitamins improve insulin sensitivity, regulate blood sugar, and decrease inflammation. Probiotics and prebiotics also affect the gut flora, which significantly affects metabolic function. Diabetes is a chronic health condition that is characterized by increased levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood. It can have harmful effects on different parts of the body, such as the retina of the eyes, skin, nervous system, kidneys, and heart. Diabetes affects the structure of electrocardiogram (ECG) impulses by causing cardiovascular autonomic dysfunction. Multi-resolution analysis of the input ECG signal is utilized in this paper to develop a machine learning-based system for the automated detection of diabetic patients. In the first step, the input ECG signal is decomposed into sub-bands utilizing the tunable Q-factor wavelet transform (TQWT) technique. In the second step, four entropy-based characteristics are evaluated from each SB and elected using the K-W test method. To develop an automatic diabetes detection system, selected features are given as input with 10-fold validation to a SVM classifier using various kernel functions. The 3 rd sub-band of TQWT with the Coarse Gaussian kernel function kernel of the SVM classifier yields a classification accuracy of 91.5%. In the same dataset, the comparative analysis demonstrates that the proposed method outperforms other existing methods.

Background: A major drawback of traditional pulp testing procedures is that they depend on neural responses rather than vascular circulation. Hence, this study aimed to develop a custom-modified dental sensor using a finger pulse oximeter (PO) that is applicable to any type of tooth so as to test its ability and accuracy in evaluating the oxygen saturation (SaO 2 ) values of teeth at different developmental stages as a measure of pulp vitality., Materials and Methods: A customized finger PO was employed to determine the systemic and pulp SaO 2 levels in 300 children. A total of 600 teeth (primary and permanent) were divided into group I (100 primary molars), group II (200 permanent molars), group III (200 permanent incisors), and 100 endodontically treated (primary and permanent) teeth were included in group IV. The mean SaO 2 values thus obtained in various groups were compared., Results: Intragroup comparison of mean SaO 2 % of the patient's finger (systemic), test teeth, and control teeth showed significant differences ( p ≤ 0.001). Objective: To enhance the survival rate of atraumatic restorative treatment (ART) restorations using (class I and class II) bilayer technique of placing glass ionomer cement (GIC) along with nanofilled coating (NC) over the restorations, thereby improving longevity., Study Design: A total of 178 primary molars in 67 children were selected and randomly divided into four groups. Group IA was treated with a single layer of GIC, followed by a protective layer of petroleum jelly in class I restoration. Group IB was treated with a single layer of GIC, followed by a protective layer of petroleum jelly in class II restoration. Group IIA was treated with bilayer GIC restoration followed by NC of GC-Coat Plus in class I, whereas group IIB was treated with bilayer GIC restoration followed by GC-Coat Plus in class II. Clinical analysis of all three groups was performed at 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months to evaluate the success of treatment procedures using predetermined criteria. Pearson's Chi-square and Kaplan-Meier estimates were utilized to evaluate the success of all four treatment procedures ( p < 0.05)., Results: Out of 178 teeth, 33 teeth were in group IA, 36 teeth were in group IB, 43 teeth were in group IIA, and 40 teeth were available for evaluation at the end of the 12-month follow-up period. The overall success was determined to be 81% for group IA, 79.2% for group IB, 79.5% for group IIA, and 88.6% for IIB. At 6th-month follow-up, one clinical failure was observed in groups IA and IB. At 9 months follow-up, two clinical failures were observed in both group IA and group IB and three failures were observed in group IIB. At 12 months follow-up, four clinical failures were observed in group IA, three in group IB and one clinical failure was observed in group IIB. Objective: The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) therapy on pain during the debonding procedure., Methods: A placebo-controlled, randomized split - mouth study was conducted on 30 orthodontic patients. The right and left anterior teeth in the maxilla and mandible were randomly allocated to the control and experimental groups (EG) and were stimulated. TENS application was made through a modified electrode probe that was used from an ammeter. The control group (CG) received the mechanical application of the device with no current, whereas the EG received progressively increasing current from 0.1 mA to the point where the patient experienced a mild tingling sensation for 60 s for each tooth. This was followed by a debonding procedure using an orthodontic debonding plier. Pain perception was recorded on a numerical rating scale after debonding each tooth., Results: The mean pain score was higher in the CG than in the EG, and the difference between the two groups was significant (p=0.001). The pain score was higher in the mandibular teeth than in the maxillary teeth, and the difference between the two groups was also significant (p=0.021). Pain score was higher in female subjects than in male subjects, and the difference between the two groups was significant (p=0.015)., Conclusion: The application of TENS therapy results in pain reduction during the debonding procedure. Emulgel is considered an advanced leading form of topical drug delivery system. A unique extreme acute breathing syndrome emerged in China and spread rapidly globally due to a newly diagnosed human coronavirus and declared a pandemic. COVID-19 was formally named by WHO, and the Global Committee on Taxonomy referred to it as extreme Acute respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Currently there is no efficient method to control the extent of SARS-CoV-2 other than social distancing and hygiene activities. This study aims to present a simple medicinal strategy for combating fatal viral diseases like COVID-19 with minimum effort and intervention. Different Ayurveda medicines ( Curcuma longa , green tea, and Piper nigrum ) inhibit virus entrance and pathogen transmission while also enhancing immunity. Piperine (1-piperoylpiperidine), as well as curcumin, combine to create an intermolecular complex (π- π) that improves curcumin bioavailability by inhibiting glucuronidation of curcumin in the liver. The receptor- binding domains of the S-protein and also the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 receptor of the recipient organism are directly occupied by curcumin and catechin, respectively, thereby preventing viruses from entering the cell.
